17 Best Wet Saw Blade For Porcelain Tile (2023 Updated)

I can’t go back to another blade! This thin kerf blade cuts fast and straight with next to no tear-out. And it lasts longer than other blades I have used. The increasing price must reflect its popularity but its still worth it.

I am not a pro but I have completed many basic but very good quality jobs and this blade is the blade for me, so far, at any price.

I’ve been using these hot dog blades for over a decade now. They have been the best tile blades on the market and still are to this day. The key is the thin rim so it cuts cleaner and faster than any other blade out there.

Be careful not to bang the blade against other tools in your truck so it doesn’t bend since it’s so thin. Save a lot of money over paying $85 locally at tile supply stores.

Hot dog tile blade is the best wet saw tile blade on the market. I was using a DeWalt blade prior that was bogging down on my saw while cutting 24-in porcelain tile on the rip put on my hot dog blade cut right through it like a hot knife through butter.

I LOVE my Dewalt XP4 10″ Diamond blade. Although my tile saw is very old, this new blade makes the saw feel like new again!! I can even cut marble and other stones with this new blade, if I cut slow enough, of course!! I am sure this blade will last me for many years!!.

I install plenty of tile, and even more glass tile. I use this blade on my wet saw for everything. I cuts through any type of tile I have thrown at it, and lasts for a reasonable length of time. I would like to see the price down a little bit, but, other than that, I have nothing to bad to say about this blade.

If you are cutting any type of glass tile, you will not be let down with this blade on a wet saw.

I got this blade to cut rectified porcelain tiles. The blade that came with my cheap Mastercraft saw chipped the glaze and left a rough edge. The QEP saw blade doesn’t chip at all and left a very smooth edge.

The cut edge is very crisp. Very impressed!.

What I like best about this blade is that it has a 7mm rim height which allows me to hand grind the small individual pieces of glass after the cut in my stained glass business.

I am cutting interior wall from inside my home. The 1940 era build used a sheet rock having half inch holes where stucco was applied liberally over the entire surface area, total thickness 1. 5 inches.

The entire house was built like this. So far I have removed the material from the entire home. Tons of weight. This last room is the end of it. I can say the Rockwell blade does a nice job. Holding the Rockwell compact circular saw with a firm strong hold while guiding the cuts along a straight line.

I have attached a hose for the dust port, using old vacuum cleaner hoses rigged up to a Cyclonic Dust Separator then to my dry vac. This method has saved the room surroundings from the airborne dust.

These blades work great, for the material I am cutting, the blades don’t last very long, but worth buying several (6 used so far out of 10) to get the job done. I give it a four star since the blade only lasts as good as its material.

When paired with a tool that has both a depth gauge and dust collection. Safely removing old plaster walls is a breeze. Thank you

Works well on THIN steel. Seems to last. Do not know if I would try it on a thicker sheet though as it grinds away the metal. Well, maybe.

After awhile my continuous rim blades would begin to have problems cutting porcelain tiles. First bought one of these from Home Depot as a quick replacement blade till I could get a better blade. Now 2 years later I’m still loving these, they have a long life, don’t warp.

I have 7 of these tucked away before they go out of production, have one on each of my 3 Felker double trolley tile saws. Have been doing tile since 1983, have been a tile contractor since 1995.

Bought this blade to replace the Dewalt XP I had used in my wet saw on my last two projects, and each of those projects required a lot of cutting porcelain tile. From the very first cut with the Ridgid, I knew I had made a bad decision.

After making three cuts of 12″ each on porcelain tile, there were numerous knicks and small chips along the cut line. Immediately replaced it with the used Dewalt, and the next cut I made was smooth and knick-free.

Had to take my time, as the blade is worn, but it still did a superior job to the Ridgid blade. Taking the Ridgid back tomorrow and going to spend a little more and get another Dewalt XP.

I bought this a month a go to finish a Bathroom project. The existing blade was getting dull so I purchased this one. The hole for the arbor was too small but drilled it out to 7/8. I was cutting floor porclain tile and it worked Great.

No chipping etc. It was better than the $75 blade I had been using.

Well the price was right, and if only doing a few tiles, I guess it woudl work. Or maybe I got a bum blade. All I can tell you is that after about 30 tiles we started getting a lot of rough cuts and little splinters on the edges.

Ended up Buying a better more expensive blade to finish the job. I got so used to always getting better quality for the price at Harbor Freight that I just assumed this blade would be fine. It really wasn’t so fine/.

My Bad.

I was a bit apprehensive to lay more for this time blade than I normally do for wer cut tile saw blades but this gave a very clean and fast cut. I think this blade has more diamond grit on the sides of the blade than their lower cost blades and I suspect that is the reason for the cleaner cuts.

On the cheaper blades the front of the blade gave as clean of a cut but the back of the blade would pull chips of tile from the cut line as it passed. That does not happen with this thicker kerf blade.

I’ll be buying more of these.

This blade came with the Diamondback tile saw I purchased at Harbor Freight, and I thought I’d use it until the QEP Diamond blade I ordered came in. I was tiling an 11’ x 11’ bathroom using porcelain tile, set on the diagonal, so I knew there were going to be a lot of cuts.

While the Diamondback blade did very well as the started the project, once I received the QEP blade I installed it to see how much better it would be. To my surprise, the QEP blade did not perform nearly as well as the Diamondback blade, creating chips and broken tiles on the same porcelain tile that the Diamondback blade was cutting with no issues! I quickly reinstalled the Diamondback blade and wound up finishing the entire project with it, with nice smooth cuts and no chips or broken tiles! I’m now starting on the wall tile and have purchased another Diamondback blade, just in case my first one wears out.

I have a HF tile saw. The blade that came with it was thicker and it cut neatly and lasted a Long time. Used it on numerous projects. This replacement blade was a thinner metal. Right out of the box it was slightly chipping but for my project if wasnt a big deal.

At first. I only needed to cut thin tiles for 16 square feet. After cutting maybe 15 short tiles it wore out and was breaking out the tile in big bits. The cits were crooked gnarled and cracked looking The cuts were going to be covered by trim otherwise my project would have been stopped to buy a new blade.

This was a total waste of money.

I purchased this blade because I could not locate my blade I purchased previously (a different brand) to cut tiles for a job I was doing at my house. I can NOT say anything regarding the cut on any kind of “ceramic” tile because I was not cutting that.

What I DID have was “porcelain” tile I had to cut with my wet saw. This blade might be good for ceramic, but as far as porcelain tiles go, you had better choose a different blade because all THIS blade does is chip the entire length of the edge of the porcelain tile.

It doesn’t matter if you go at a normal travel on your wet saw or at a snail’s pace, it will STILL chip the edges. NOT big chips, but chips nonetheless.

I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT BLADE TO BUY AND THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THIS ONE AND IAM GLAD HE DID. I BOUGHT A 7 INCH 1. 5 HP BRIDGE TILE WET SAW AND I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT DIDN’T COME WITH A BLADE. THIS BLADE WORKS GREAT ON THE HALF INCH STONE 18 INCH SQUARE TILE THAT I AM CUTTTING.

THE OLD SAYING IT CUTS LIKE A WARMN KNIFE THROUGH BUTTER FITS THIS BALDE PERFECTLY. I FOUND IT WORKS EVEN BETTER WHEN THE WATER IS CLEAN. I DON’T KNOW IF IT WILL HURT THE BLADE BUT AFTER A FEW USES AND LETTING IT STAND A FEW DAYS IT SHOWS SIGNS OF A RUST COLOR COMING ON THE BLADE; BUT I USED IT AGAIN AFTER THAT AND IT WORKED GREAT.

ONE WORD OF ADVIDE. NOT ALL 7 INCH WET SAW BLADES HAVE THE SAME SIZE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE. I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE AT A DIFFFERENT STORE AND PUT IT ONE ON THE SAW FIRST THINKING IT IS A 7 INCH BLADE IT MUST WORK AND I STARTED UP THE SAW AND IT STARTED TO WOBBLE AND LOOSEN UP.

ANOTHER THING MOST SAWS ECT. HAVE THE NUT TIGHTEN COUNTER CLOCKWISE AND LOOSEN CLOCKWISE BUT THE SAW I BOUGHT DOES NOT. I WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE TI WORKED FOR ME GREAT !.

For less than $10, I’m surprised these Bauer diamond blades cut so well. Even though the continuous rim blades are meant for wet cutting, I dry cut dozens of tiles with my angle grinder without any issues.

It cuts much smoother and with less dust than a segmented blade. Just make sure to take your time and give the blade some break periods while you continue to do your tile work. If you must cut continuously, then do wet cuts.

One blade while probably last through at least a couple hundred ceramic tiles.

I had to cut a granite vanity top on the job site. I had a Warrior brand saw blade from HF that was junk, so I was skeptical buying this blade. I actually bought two of these blades, expecting to wear one out quickly.

I made two long cuts and used a fresh blade on each cut. Surprisingly, they both went through that granite top like butter. I probably didn’t need to change the blade but didn’t want to take a chance.

Both blades still look like they have life in them!.

I bought these blades on sale. I am a DIYer and not using them to make a living. They work perfect for what I need. Nice clean cuts. I use them more than the average home owner.

I’m a retired renovator and recently moved to a smaller residence. Most of my tools had to be disposed of so the odd time I find myself reaching for something that just isn’t there anymore. I had to cut down a hollow core door the other day and had no plywood blade.

Went to CTC and picked up this 24 and 40 tooth two-pack. Wow! This 40-tooth blade did the job perfectly. Since I’ve regressed to being a “weekend carpenter” I’m sure I’ll never have to buy another blade.

No more “really pricey” blades for me!.

Needed a new blade for my circular saw and these are a great option as well as a good price vs. other brands.

Excellent blade for the money, surprised at the performance. cut out an entire sink through grout, tile and cement and barely looks used.

Works great! Cuts right through Pavors. I would recommend.

It dry cut 6′ of 100+ year old concrete well. I Needed to remove a 2″ door ledge X 12′. DUST! used an electric leaf blower to de-dust during many small cuts. 6′ more to do with the same blade. Expecting extra life beyond this usage.

Last blade lasted about 15 days, or 36 continuous hours. Have had no problems so far cutting any type of stone.

with water cooling it just barely cut through a remaining cut of 1/4″ thick concrete and about 60″ long. it did work and i was able to finish the job. before i used this blade,i tried a milwaukee blade 48-00-1420 i purchased locally and it did not work at all.

so its worth a shot to try the 48-00-1440 blade depending on how “hard” the concrete is. happy sawing!.

I bought these blades because I had to cut some 2″ and 4″ cast iron pipe in a space with no clearance for a “snap cutter. ” I did not find this particular blade to be very effective at cutting the pipe.

It was slow and finally I found another solution so only used one of the blades after all. I realize that these blades abrade rather than cutting, much as a tile saw does, and someone advised me (wisely) to slow down the speed of my reciprocating saw.

The problem is that my Milwaukee 12V cordless saw only goes at one speed–fast. It just wasn’t effective. I also tried it with some old galvanized steel pipe. Nope–the Lenox Gold 18TPI blades worked much better.

So if you’re looking to cut cast iron, consider my experience–for what it’s worth–and good luck!.

I bought it to cut through bricks. I cut through most of the brick with a 7″ diamond saw blade with my worm drive saw and needed to cut the rest of the way through (about an inch thick). One blade cut through about 5 bricks very slowly then went dull.

I was able to cut through about 12 bricks total. It may be great for cast iron pipe but for bricks, concrete, tile, rent a 14″ concrete saw with a diamond blade for the price of two of these diamond grit sawzall blades.

It will take much less time including the trip to the equipment rental shop and costs about the same.

I might have gotten a lemon, but the brass ring in the middle broke off after using it only once. I had to superglue it back to the disc to continue using it. It died on me fairly quickly too. Started dry and then had to eventually use water, so maybe that’s the issue.

Lasted long enough to do all the weird cuts for my shower, so roughly 20 4×16″ tiles.

Easy to use. Quality is good.
