Directions | Read the entire label before use. It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Entry restriction: Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried. 1. Shake container well before using. 2. Connect a garden hose to the ready spray nozzle. Make sure the dial on the nozzle is in teh off position with the safety tab in the valve notch. 3. Turn on water at faucet. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back toward the faucet so you don’t come in contact with treated area. 4. To begin spraying, point nozzle toward treatment site and a.) bend the safety tab back (located at right of dial) with your thumb, b.) hold while turning dial clockwise until it stops. Water will automatically mix with product. 5. Spray until wet to control listed weeds. Walk at a steady pace while spraying, using an even sweeping motion. 6. To stop spraying, quickly turn the dial counterclockwise until it stops and the safety tab engages into the notch on the valve. Turn water off at faucet. To relieve pressure before removing nozzle from hose, bend the safety tab back and turn dial on until water stops spraying. 7. To store unused product, make sure the dial is in the off position with safety tab in the valve notch. Place in cool area away from heat, sunlight or open flame. Do not use near desirable plants as injury may occur. Do not apply under windy conditions. Do not treat the same area twice. Do not apply when temperatures exceed 90 degrees F as lawn injury may occur. Use only on healthy home lawns that are not under heat or drought stress and are reasonably free of insects, nematodes or diseases. Do not use on muck or alkaline soils. Do not apply in the root zone of trees, ornamentals or vegetables or other desirable plants other than the listed grasses. Do not apply to areas where natural drainage would carry the spray to desirable plants. Do not replant treated areas, except with listed grasses, within 12 months of application or injury may result. Do not oversee treated areas within six months after application. Sprigging listed grasses in treated areas is acceptable; however, some yellowing or stunting may occur. Application restrictions: Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during application. This 32 fl oz container will treat 3,720 sq ft of listed grasses. Do not apply the entire container to an area less than 3,720 sq ft. Do not apply to the same area more than two times per year. Weeds controlled or partially controlled in established St. Augustinegrass and Centipedegrass lawns: annual bluegrass, chickweed (common and mouseear), crabgrass (partial control), cransbil, cudweed, dichondra, dollarweed, Florida betony, henbit, knotweed, lespedeza, moneywort, mustards, narrowleaf vetch, parsley-piert, pennywort (dollarweed), sandspur, smutgrass, spurge, spurweed, swinecrest, woodsorrel, and various annual clovers. Spurweed: control can best be obtained by applying when spurweed has just emerged (December and January). Florida betony: For best control, applications should be made in mid- to late October followed by a second application in mid- to late February. Dichondra, moneywort: Apply in early April followed by a second application in July. Applications for control of spurweed or Florida betony will generally give control or partial control of the other listed weeds. However, this product will give best control when applied to tender young weeds or just prior to weed emergence. Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns for St. Augustine & Centipede Lawns Concentrate may be applied during both dormant and growing seasons. Best results are obtained when application takes place in early spring or dormant periods when weeds are small or have not emerged. Do not apply more than twice per year to the same area. This product will control both emerged weeds and weeds from seeds. Rain or watering within two or three days of application may decrease the effectiveness on emerged weeds. However, for the control of emerged weeds from seeds, rainfall or watering is needed within seven to 10 days after treatment. Storage and disposal: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage and disposal. Pesticide Storage: Store in a locked storage area. Container disposal: If empty: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling, if available. Pesticide disposal: If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain. |

Conclusion
The best time to apply weed and feed to your st augustine lawn is in early spring, before the weeds start to germinate. This will give the weed and feed time to work its way into the soil and prevent the weeds from taking over your lawn.
