This is a funny looking club. But hey it seems to work great. High loft pops the ball up quickly. Maybe at the expense of distance, but its main use is on closer shots.

Hits wells. Feels good. Good sound and bite on shots

Just swing and this club won’t dig. You can try to dig this club but it’s not happening!

From 40 yards out you cannot over shoot the green. Takes some practice figuring out chip shots around the green, but once you find your grip and shorten your swing this thing makes it easy to get up and down with a nice stick to finish it off.

It honestly makes your short game so much easier. Other than the occasional blading, I tend to lift my head, this thing is awesome. Everyone should have this club in their bag. Choke up and swing away for the best height you’ve ever has around the green.

This club takes the fringe conditions out of the equation, easy to get under the ball, since there’s no heel. It’s like hitting pop ups to infielders. Absolutely the best $35. 00 you can spend on your short game.

If you are like me, you are playing golf to relax and enjoy a sport, this club takes away the stress you have felt in the two shots it took you to get to the green. Bogie Golf is enjoyable golf in my opinion, and this club will put you in more par situations.

First of all, shipping time was really fast on this item, which is why I like to use Walmart. com. I haven’t been able to use this club yet, due to the fact that it’s been too cold, but I looked at the club when I got it and checked it out.

It looks really nice. It has a nice feel and look. The length seems good, too, for an average-height person. The best part is the price. I did some research on these clubs, and this is one of the few companies that I could find that make this exact size wedge.

For the price, you can’t beat it. Now I just can’t wait to get on the course and try it out.

This little gem has done more for my game than a gross of Pro V’s! It pops the ball almost straight up if needed and yet carries 15+ yards if needs be. Can only praise it’s attributes and performance.

Can’t wait to try the 64degree purchased at the same time. Quality at the most reasonable price!!.

This will be a strange review simply because I have yet to hit a single shot with these new wedges. Where I live, it snows, and my golf season ended about a month ago. Nevertheless, the Cleveland wedges have a great look and I bought them sight unseen for 2 reasons.

First, the Cleveland name and reputation. I have used Cleveland wedges for many years and in my view they are the best. Secondly, the price. These wedges were $20 to $40 (each) less than other places (and I looked at many both on-line and locally).

My only complaint is the grip. The wedges came with a low end cheap grip which I quickly upgraded. I look forward to using these in the spring after the snow is gone.

Excellent product and as described. The Cleveland CBX 2 wedges provides excellent spin and are very forgiving for most golf players. GolfDiscount came through with everything as stated along with excellent service.

If there was a complaint with the Cleveland Black Satin Wedge is: the black Satin finish is hard to see the club number(s) (which is black paint on black satin) and hard to see when choosing from your bag (50, 56 & 60 gap) My suggestion would be, make the numbers “white” for clarity purpose.

I have two of these Cleveland CBX 2 in my bag. I found the sales pitch to be correct and spot on about them. Forgiving yet powerful enough for nearly all levels of golfers. I’m a mid handicapper and I’m glad I got them.

I was playing some older Vokey wedges that I’ve had for years. I decided to try something different. I loved the Vokey but I’m going to stick with these now. Try it, you’ll like it!.

The title of the listing reads brand new. All of the wedges show signs of being hit. I can see scratches from ball marks on the faces and paint rubbed off the numbers on the bottoms. On top of that, All of the grips are way off center and feel worn down.

Im sure theyll be fine once I regrip them though. *Edit* grips are not off center. They just arent to my liking and need replaced ASAP. All in all. Pretty disappointing. My friends have these same clubs from Costco and none of them were in this condition when they got theirs.

Bought these for my husband. He has tried them on the driving range. They will take time to get used to. He was very pleased with the weight and quality of the clubs. They were very well packaged too.

The rumors are true. These Costco wedges are the real deal. At retail price, they are a great deal. The ones I received looked like they had maybe seen a few rounds of golf. Great deal!

Well, when i first shot the Hi-Toe wedges I was immediately impressed by the feel and control I had with these wedges. Terrific spin in every intended direction. Super impressive side spin that I could never get from any other wedge except those old Solas 4.

0’s. but a few rounds later when they started to rust up as they are designed to do, I was suddenly losing that serious spin control. Spin rates were dropping and my impressions were slipping. But then.

with my analytical superpowers (haha) I grabbed a soft brass fine wire brush and did a few sweeps to freshen up the rusted edges and valleys of those grooves and milling lines but not hard enough to brush off all the grippy rust.

DANG!!!! Talk about Spin Control City!!! Each wedge now performed BETTER than when new and brought me right back to my original enthusiasm for these wedges. The terrific feel and unusual confidence in control has me hooked for sure.

I love these wedges and they are absolutely a staple in my bag. No doubt!.

I stopped in my local golf store and fitter I have worked with for years. I was wanting to add/replace my 60 deg. Wedge. Wanted one for tight hard pan lies with lower bounce and the ability to open for flop shots etc.

around the green. Went in to look at Vokey and Callaway specifically. He asked if I had an aversion to Hi-Toe and I said no. He put a Hi-Toe 3 , 60 deg. 7 deg bounce in my hands. It set up beautifully for a tight square shot, a tight flop shot, etc.

I do not think I ever have put a wedge in my hand that set up for everything I need and I felt I wasn’t sacrificing a particular shot due to the grind. Plus, the simplicity of the offering is less confusing.

Since this was the last one and he had, sold all the others he got in this week, I bought it on the spot, so not me. I went home and hit balls of the wooden floor, so me. I will do a follow up review once I get out and do some practice on the chipping green.

Grooves all the way over and up work well in any condition. I went with the s300 DG shaft which is a lower launch. I have a high ball flight on everything so it it helps me keep the chip shots down. Which by some would still be considered high.

I also have the MG3 with standard shaft that comes with its a Mid to High launch. Basically I had the MG3 54 and 58 degree eliminated those 2 and went with the 56 degree Hi Toe and can pretty much do everything I could with the 54 and 58 but combined them into one with the Hi Toe 56 degree.

Flop shot is the only thing that I cant accomplish as well as I could with the 58. But the 56 allows me to give them a bit of roll. There more that goes into this but hope this helps someone else. Many different types of plays with this wedge.

I first got a 56 degree TM z spin wedge in 2020. Verses the competition wedge I felt it was superior. 70 yards at full swing. So I began my hunt for the rest. In spring 2021 I found my 52 degree now I have my 60.

My set is now complete. I’ve tried others over the years. TM z spin is the best. Get them while you can because they don’t make them anymore.

I have only used these wedges for one round so far and I already love them. Great feel. Easy to hit. Holds the green nicely on short chips. I’m now looking for a TaylorMade standard wedge; something between 45 and 48 degrees.

À very user friendly 52 / 9 approach wedge. The fifth star would come from an appropriate graphite shaft for better feel of club head weight. The grip is perfect for my hand size, allowing me a 4/10 grip pressure club control and finesse shots at 20/30 yards from aimed landing spot on the green.

Harry Taylor 405 Series wedges are incredibly well designed!!! In the beginning of super game improvement wedges(especially the Alien) the wedges really worked but they were so bizarre looking that only the most desperate or really confident player would use them! Over time the pro tours and the reps servicing the tour learned how to build( grinds, sole width, weight placement, etc) the same characteristics into wedges for better players.

Today every smart tour player has the right wedges for each tour venue. Harry Taylor has built a super versatile, player friendly, easy to use set of wedges for every player from 4 to 36 handicap!!!! Bar none these wedges PERFORM.

I use a 52, 56 bent to 58, and a 64 that allow me to pitch and chip effectively from 70 yards in! Tight lies, terrible lies, divots, any sand condition, you name it. I am 78, I’ve player for 64 years, I was an accomplished player who was willing to play an Alien and put up with grief from playing partners because I beat them with my Alien.

Trust me when I say that the 405 Series is the best game friendly wedges I have ever seen in my 64 YEARS OF PLAYING AND TESTING EVERYTHING TO COME ALONG.

I’ve played wide sole wedges-various brands- for several years with great success but had trouble finding lofts below 56* for under $100. I discovered the Harry Taylor 52* wide sole on RBG awhile back but couldn’t get passed the dimpled sole.

Finally pulled the trigger and am glad I did. I needed more distance than the 56* could offer and the wide sole just glides over the turf without chunking it. If you have trouble with traditional wedges like me, this wedge will improve your game.

Have played 3 rounds with my new wedge. Very well balanced. Easy to hit. I do not notice the wide sole at address. Have not tried to hit off of hardpan or a tight lie. Easy to get out of sand, BUT I do have problems with a long sand shot.

I am only getting out 10 yard max.

This review is for the 42 degree chipper and let me say, just like I did in the title, this club is a game changer. Once I got a feel for the carry and roll this club has been deadly accurate and has legitimately saved me 3-4 shots per round and I am a single digit (6.

1) handicap player. I don’t mean that as a boast, I just want to say this club can help anyone. I have no trouble putting my ego aside and carrying this Chipper. Scoff if you will but you won’t be doing that for long when you see me get up and down for par almost every time or chip in while you bogey the hole lol.

The genius is in the design, specifically the loft, lie and sole. This club sits very flat and very square so it is very easy to align and aim, much more than a traditional wedge is for sure. Where this club really shines though is in the sole design and the forgiveness.

Not only are my good shots better (directionally) but my poor strikes are EXTREMELY better (proximity). The more I experiment with this club the more versatile it becomes. I used to just it around the greens but now I am starting to use it from about 40-50 yards out depending on the situation.

If there isn’t a bunker to carry and the pin is middle/back then it’s a green light for the chipper. Kudos to Cleveland for this one and if it weren’t for Mark Crossfield I would’ve never thought to give this club a try which is exactly what you should do to.

I purchased this club for my wife for Christmas. She has always had trouble chipping out of the fringe around the greens. This club “pops” the ball out of that fringe, onto the green with ease. I would highly recommend this club for everyone.

There is also a Men’s version of the club. The chipper will work for distances up to about 30 or 40 yards too.

My go to wedge off a tight lie. Wide sole and generous bounce gives confidence to avoid a thin shot. Even better off the semi and light rough where it can really be lofted into the air for a soft landing.

Surprising spin as well if you can commit to the shot. Does what its designed to do. Glad that Golfonline had the hard to source graphite shaft.

I got the 60 and the 52 to replace my Volkey wedges that had pretty much worn out after many rounds over 5 years. The 60 is great. Looks good at address and is money out of the sand, particularly if you short sided yourself.

Does have a very tight feel and used it for 70 yards and in + the sand. The 52 is a different story. I should be able to hit this club 110 yards and in. The club really looks good at address too however I really struggled with it to get the ball up.

This trip was all tight grass in Arizona, so it wasn’t like these were tough lies. I am going to give it another 3 or 4 rounds and if no improvement wil go back to the Volkey 52.

Bought a set of the Cobra Forged Tec yesterday and today was the first day out with them, golf was fun again! As I get older (45) I found out that hitting blades wasn’t fun, finishing a round struggling wasn’t fun, and being sore was fun either.

Today was fun and I loved the irons! They are everything that everyone has been saying and I appreciate Cobra making great clubs! Bought the LTDX, Snakebite wedges, Forged Tec irons and it was a great investment!.

If you’re a low handicapper, there’s no need to read any further. If you’re a high handicapper, please read on. Cleveland’s goal is to produce golf equipment that will benefit every level of golfer, from the touring professional to the weekend (or monthly) duffer.

Their new Smart Sole 3 S wedge is aimed at players who struggle in the sand and around the green. The club features a three-tiered sole that improves turf interaction from all types of lies around the green, even for those with steeper swings.

The 3 S utilizes Cleveland’s Feel Balance Technology, which effectively moves the center of gravity closer to the center of the clubface adding more forgiveness on full-length shots. Cleveland’s Smart Sole has three tiers and with good reason.

The first tier is very similar in shape to any traditional wedge sole. When you’re hitting a square, full shot from the fairway that’s the part of the sole that will engage and it will play like a traditional wedge.

The 2nd tier of the sole is designed to give you a little extra lift from the rough and help you get through the grass easier. The third and widest tier – and in fact the other two – engage when you play from the sand.

The S wedge is 58° and with good reason. Since Joe Average may not be skilled enough to know to open the face from the sand, Cleveland has done it for him. The net result is that JAG can now take a fuller, more aggressive swing from the bunker.

The company’s test show that these players were 50% more likely to get the ball out of the bunker, and 30% more likely to land the ball on the green with the Smart Sole 3 S wedge. The 3 S is not for golfers who want to attack pins out of the bunker or open the face for added loft.

On its own, it does a great job of getting the ball up in the air and out of the sand and carries well on full shots. It’s virtually impossible to stub or chili-dip.

My home course plays to a lot of pitch and runs which I have had excellent success using my 7 iron to accomplish. I had a similar chipper with mixed results and thought I’d give this Cleveland a try.

As it sits @ 42 degrees with a wide smooth sole it seemed like the ticket for those longer shots off the green. Having used it only a few times I can say I will be keeping it in my bag as the results are pretty good thus far with no actual practice.

For me there is two shots with it first playing in back in a similar pitching stance open, with a semi putter stroke. Because of the loft the second shot can be played more center and just execute a pitching stroke to get it up and on.

The roll it puts on the ball surprised me. With no practice I was able to get very close or in on those just off the green shots that are too short and flat to pitch with control ie; me, or a hail mary putt from the far side of the green.

I chose the Cleveland over similar models from Odyssey, Ping etc. And just like the Cleveland, Ping, TM, Cobra drivers, woods. irons it is a ‘game improvement’ club. What club isn’t or no one would buy them.

The chipper was around long before most clubs today right with the advent of the ‘spoon. ‘ I had no problem putting it in my bag and excited with the early results. Thesmart sole model would be my recommendation.

So far the 58 degree Smart Sole club is o. k. , but it will take a while before I am confident with the club. It still easy to ‘blade’ the club on a full swing or chip. It occurs both from a failure to go low enough to brush the grass below the lie and from a rebound of hitting the ground with the bounce of the club.

It takes time to become accustomed to the club. I have used the club for sand explosions and it is suited to a high explosion with short run out, but the sand used at my club is not ‘silly slick silicone’, but a white fine-grained sand that forms a crust when not freshly raked encouraging the hooded face ‘dried egg lie’ explosion impact.

So far most of my bunker shots have been of the ten to thirty yard carry which, in practice, has not been the forte of this club. However, I suspect I will have the opportunity to play the high short run-out shot or play to a downhill lie as I play more.

I do not regret buying the club. It has replaced my Cleveland CG-15 58, however, I need more time and play with the club before I can say I will buy another as the grooves wear. If so, I will raise my evaluation to a fourth star.

This 62 degree wedge is a wonderful addition to my golf bag. I’m 73 and not the best golfer on the course. I’ve already used it a few times. It was great at getting me out of the sand traps I was in.

It was easy to use to get out of the rough and onto the green. It gave me a nice, high ball flight and landed softly on the green. I’ve hit about a dozen shots with it from 50 yards and in. I should have added a 62 degree wedge years ago.

Definitely worth it!.

This thing spins. I have the 56 deg and 60 deg, both mid. I can chip, flop, pitch, splash from sand, cut through rough, and get a ton of spin on full shots. Comparable to the cbx2 – a bit heavier but the feel is oh so much better, and it was easy to open the face and get a nice flop.

Not to mention, they look fantastic.

Bought the 52, 56 and 60. All work great and just look good to stand over. Cant beat the price. Only complaint was the packaging. All came in a flimsy box with no packing that was destroyed by time it got to me.

No damage to clubs luckly. All other clubs i ordered came packed much better in higher qaulity boxes so must just be a different warehouse.

Bought this club for store pickup. When I received the club it looked like it had been played with for multiple rounds. Giant scratch across the whole club face. Go in to return and half the clubs don’t have the plastic covering the head any more.

The response I got was that they let people try them out in store and they can get scratched up because of it. I will not be purchasing any clubs from them again because of this. Do yourself a favor and buy your new club somewhere else.

I had both Cleveland and Calloway wedges and struggled getting under the ball with both of them, especially on Florida winter hard pan. I started with the 60 and loved it. I was able to pick the ball off hard pan constantly.

I then tried the 56 for longer lobs and for the traps. I was sold and then bought the 52 to fill the remaining gap. I’m now playing in Ohio grass and roughs and still loving these wedges. My Cleveland and Calloway wedges are now in my guest bag.

I went into a golf shop with my Cobra Amps last weekend and compared the head shapes to all the clubs they had, and surprisingly the Cleveland Launcher XL irons seemed to match. So I decided to finally try to replace the Cobra Amps after a decade of use and repeated unsuccessful tries to replace them.

So I bought Cleveland Launcher XL irons with Catalyst 60 stiff shafts. The Cleveland Launcher XL irons are incredible. They legitimately go at least 10 yards further than the Cobra Amps. They also just go straight.

Shot an 80 on a really hard track today, primarily because of the irons. And the 5 iron seems to go about as far as my 19 degree hybrid but doesn’t snap hook like that club sometimes does. A straight hitting 195-yard 5 iron was totally unexpected (especially since my Amp 5 iron only goes like 180 max) and is just really a great thing for tight tee shots.

I hit a 7 iron almost 170 today; normal length is 155. That’s insane.

I am a current female tournament gopher so I decided upgrade my irons this year, I had heard a lot about these club but never tested them. They took me by surprise from the first hit due to the soft feel off the face, med- high ball flight and accuracy with the 4 through 7 irons.

The shorts irons played like game improvement irons but with a little more spin than normal. The extra-long/over size heads have never been my favorite but these club are so forgiving and the V Soul allows me to have great Turf contact just about anywhere on the course.

The distance was not the longest in my fitting but the overall ease to hit these clubs forced me to bag them. EASY EASY EASY with accuracy!!!!!!!! Down 3 strokes in 6 weeks.

This wedge is lightweight and perfect for the woman golfer that wants to be able to swing a light club and get the ball to stop on the green. This club is now my wife’s favorite club in the bag. Perfect purchase.

Sand wedge is good but I don’t like the chrome finish. Should be in stainless like the 722 clubs I bought it to go with. Also, web site doesn’t allow you to put the grip on that you had installed on the complete iron set two weeks earlier.

It’s a nicely balanced wedge at a fair price. Works as stated. The face is marking quickly. Will use for 2 seasons probably

To avoid being perceived as a Mizuno fanboi, prior to this T20 52 degree wedge, I used the MP T5 60 and 54 degree wedges. The 60 was for the sand and flops, while I was hoping the 54 would be for work around the greens.

I ditched both, the 60 out of sand was very unforgiving and I generally chunked the 54. I replaced the 60 with a hackers Callaway Sure Out, and yes it works. Deciding less loft was needed for the gap, I took a chance on this 52 degree T20.

Its fabulous, has the legendary Mizuno buttery feel on contact. When lining up the shot, the ability to align the clubface accurately in the direction of the hole is remarkable, meaning I can now chip the ball at the hole instead of in its vicinity.

It has great feel and so chunks are a thing of the past. I do not care for the standard shaft or grip it comes with, but those are replaceable.

Demoed the T20 with SM8, Jaws, RTX, and MG2. This was the best all around wedge for me. Was able to hit my yardages and play all sorts of fun shots around the green. Felt like the others all came up short in different situations.

Went with the 56 /10 and 60/06 options. Love the grind here. Ball pops out of bunkers with great spin, checks up on pitches and spins a good amount on flop shots. Can open the club and keep the leading edge low or get really up right and play to down chips.

Tons to work with here. Love the fact that I didn’t need to pay extra to get S400s put in the club, gives the right weight and feel for a wedge.

Have been looking for wedges to complement my MP 223’s in the bag and these fit the gapping beautifully. Has that same feel that I love with my irons. Was actually very shocked with how much control it gives on short pitch shots/greenside shots.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great all around performing wedge.

I’ve used Mizuno, Hogan, Cleveland and Vokey wedges. I tend to gravitate towards forged wedges and irons, but have used cast wedges also. These are not the softest wedges I’ve used but, they are certainly close.

The W/S tour model wedges give instant feedback. If you miss the sweet spot by a little bit you will know, but the results are way better than you’d think. When you flush it you can expect it to drop exactly where you planned.

The weighting is perfect. Heavy enough to feel the head, but not too heavy that it feels like dead weight. The high toe weight on the head is awesome if you like to flight the ball down for certain shots.

Where these wedges really shine is the sole grind. The most common criticism of this wedge line has been the lack of different sole grinds, but when you nail the perfect grind why would you mess with it?? I have the 56* and 60* in the tour grind model and they do everything! Hard pan/ tight lies – perfect! Fluffy/ flyer lies- perfect! Firm/ wet sand- perfect! Dry/ fluffy sand-perfect! Lob shots- perfect! Knock downs- perfect!!! If you thought the days of Wilson Staff being a high end premium line were over you are mistaken.

Possibly the best purchase I’ve made in years.

I was looking for a wedge that can get the ball in the air and stop where it lands, I went on a hunt for a 58-60 degree with a milled face. I tried out the Cleveland, the Hi-Toe, and the Jaws full toe along with the Staff Model.

The staff model was able to do just what I wanted it to at a much better price. Not to mention the staff model HT wedge looks super clean and has plenty real estate for customization. This wedge deserves a swing.

Love these 50 and 58 degree wedges! The feel of a well struck shot is awesome. Only reason for 4 stars is the 54 degree Sand Wedge is backordered until mid May. Would have been nice to know that when I placed the order on March 16th.

There was no indication when I placed the order that there would be a delay in receiving my complete order.

I will start by saying that this wedge has been amazing. I love using it, and I feel extremely confident around the green. When I upgraded to these wedges, I started firing at pins I would never aim at in the past, and the ‘check’ is amazing.

One or two bounces and it just grabs. I’ve definitely got up and down significantly more using these. Love the performance. My complaint is with the black satin finish. It will wear off and leave some very ugly scratch lines on the bottom of the club.

Bunker shots are especially bad for it. At the end of the day, when you swing the club, you can’t see it, but when it sits in your bag, you will definitely notice it. I’ve had the club for just about a month know and the wear is noticeable.

In a year, I expect most of the paint on the sole will be gone at the rate it is coming off.

This is the first golf club review I’ve ever felt compelled to write. Of course, I’ve had several purchases in the past that I saw improvements with. But, these wedges are absolutely amazing. I can’t think of any better way to put it.

I got the 48 and 54, both your satin and with the mid grinds. I just open the face with the 54 if I need any loft higher than that. No real need for a 58 or higher for me. The feel, balance, and overall performance immediately impressed me.

I have played Vokeys, TM Milled Grind, and Ping wedges in the past. I even tried the CBX2 wedges last year too, but the cavity back feel and irregular shot distances got old quick. The spin that I can achieve with these wedges are on a level I’ve never been able to get with other models.

Even the 48 gets the ball to stop on all shots (chips, pitches & full). My shots are so much more predictable and consistent than I’ve ever been able to accomplish with other models too. One other very noticeable difference too is that the durability with these really confuses me.

Four rounds in, including multiple practice sessions, and it seriously looks like I just picked these clubs off of the rack. Every wedge has always shown wear on the very first shot, which is fine with me because I appreciate the look of aged wedges.

These seriously look brand new. This might only be the case with the tour satin finish though, which is incredibly beautiful by the way. I feel like I finally found some amazing scoring clubs that I will have in my bag for a very long time.

I have never had good luck with Cleveland wedges, for nearly 30 years I have used Mizuno, Bridgestone or Titleist. I decided to try one of these in a different loft and the tour satin. I loved how consistent the flight is and i could hit it low or high with ease.

The spin was very consistent as well even when I had a mishit toward the heel. If you hit it a little high on the face out of rough, it doesn’t seem to loose as much spin as the SM8 that I was playing.

I switched to the black version in all of my RTX wedges due to glare. After playing a couple of times late in the day, I knew that was necessary. I am glad I switched.

I was not sure what to expect. Only $107. Great Price. Have not tried it yet (waiting for spring). However, the grip on the club is simply amazing. Soft and really lets you handle the club with sweet feedback.

Finally rid myself of my cheap Sand wedge and what a difference straight away, I notice a significant difference in spin. Playing one round I put two shots within 3 feet of the pin and the ball is sticking where it needs to.

I also got the 52 degree gap wedge and have also noticed it plays really well also. Highly recommend these, playing shots around the green off the toe (with the SW) gives you so much more confidence to strike hard, but still create enough spin to not have the ball roll off the other side.

I did change the grips on these though, I’m not a big fan of the stock grips, I like a tackier grip and I ended up getting the Golf Pride Tour Wrap (which I have on my LW) Jumbo, which has been an adjustment but way better than the stock grip.

Will definitely be upgrading my LW to this wedge also.
