20 Best Wax Protection For Car (2023 Updated)

One of the best products on the market and I tried of a lot of different waxes. This one is easy to apply and particularly very easy to polish without leaving traces. It gives a long lasting shine especially on black cars.

Look for the Gold Class Carnauba PLUS (not only carnauba ) Cost almost the double of other regular waxes but it’s worth the price.

This is a good automotive wax, you can apply even in sun without issues but might need to under-apply on hot surfaces. Lasts a good long time and the scent is good. I wear latex gloves when using this and any other product but probably not necessary.

Here is a fun fact: this is a great wax/polisher/cleaner for industrial painted surfaces! I use this to keep heat pumps of various makes (Carrier, Bryant) polished only because it keeps dirt and grime from setting in.

It is easier and quicker to wax up heat pumps once in a while then to have to scrub them after storms or when they get leaf stains. Same is true for cars of course but you can’t put a heat pump through a car wash.

I would be surprised if most car owners are not happy with the wax. The price is good and it doesn’t dry out as the can seals well. The applicator is just fine.

Best car wax I have ever used! Easy to apply and very easy to wipe off. This is the first time using this brand (or any car wax from Meguiar). I have used several car waxes over the years and Meguiar’s is by far the best.

Other waxes have a flaky dust like residue when wiping off. This wax just smooths out into a wonderful shine. Other waxes also leave a white film over trim if not careful applying, Not this wax. In fact it removed the white residue from the past.

I am not the kind looking for a show room or car show finish, just a good clean protective finish that looks good. It wouldn’t take much preparation to get that car show finish however. Very impressed.

My only complaint would be the fact that after I washed and waxed my truck, my wife looked at it and said “okay, now you can do my car”. Still, it was under 3 hours to do both vehicles. Get Meguiar’s Gold Carnauba, you won’t be disappointed.

Pretty easy to apply with a detailing microfiber sponge and wipe off with a microfiber towel. I used it on two drag racers and my daily driver and got a really nice shine from it. It does seem to attract dirt if drive on some gravel roads but bugs and stuff also seem to come off easier.

I think I’m going to switch to the synthetic sealant next time but this was good for the price.

I only wash my cars by hand and use this product about every other wash or two. It leaves a spotless surface and the beading that takes place after the rain or the next wash is amazing. The extra step of using this keeps my cars cleaner and makes them much easier to wash thanks to the resilient barrier it creates.

Its also priced better than the competition in the stores, which is a definite plus !.

I was using 303 Automotive Spray Wax recently, when a friend stopped by. He asked what I was using, so I showed him the bottle. He walked around my SUV and said “looks like you’ve used that 303 Spray Wax on the hood and front bumper.

” I replied “yes, how can you tell?” He replied “it’s easy. those parts are much shinier than the rest of your SUV. ” He was right! I finished waxing the rest of the SUV, then handed him the bottle of 303 Automotive Spray Wax.

He said “you finished waxing in record time. why are you handing the bottle to me?” I said “I see your truck parked out there, in the street. it really needs some 303 Spray Wax. ” He happily took the bottle home and waxed his truck.

I doubt that I’ll see that bottle of 303 Automotive Spray Wax again!.

Finally, 71 degrees out today after 30+ inches of snow 3 week ago. Pulled the bike out of storage and went for a 3 hour ride. Upon returning home, the front of the bike had a couple dozen bugs on the fairing, forks and fender along with light water spray which dried on the lower frame.

The Speed Detailer made an easy job of cleaning up the bike. While up on the lift, I also tried the Quick Wax. Both products worked excellent. The Detailer removed the dried on bugs with almost no effort and the Wax went on silky smooth.

After wiping down the rims, I applied the Quick Wax to the rims as well to make future cleanings even easier. I could not believe how quick it was to complete the clean-up using these two products to keep your ride in perfect condition.

Now the weather predicts 1-2 inches of snow in about a week, so the bike is back in hibernation for another month or so. Thanks 303 for saving me a lot of time in cleaning up my bike after my ride today.

I have multiple of Turtle wax other brand wax’s This is the best one I have used. It’s very hard to find but this product gets off little scratches and makes the car really shine. It also leaves a thicker protective coat on the car that makes it stand up to the Washington State Rain!.

The Express Shine is exactly that. just wipe it on with a light rubbing action and buff up with soft cloth for best results. Definitely no hard rubbing required so no problem to shine even a large car in a short time.

Providing the paint on your car is in good condition this product will keep it looking like new with minimum effort.

I purchased this product about two weeks ago as I was looking for a product that would contain Carnauba wax. The first test was on a small area and I was so happy to see a great result straight away! My whole car is now covered in this product and I will need to purchase another bottle very soon to have a spare while travelling around.

Highly recommended. I was worried that waxing my car would take a long time but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. I applied this wax in the shade at around 25C. 5 small dobs easily covers 1/4 of the vehicle.

Wax applies easily and once dry (leave for 5 or so minutes) wipes off super easily with a microfibre cloth. Using a budget random orbital/DA sander I was able to do the entire car within 20 minutes and ended up applying another coat.

Once the wax dries, the car is silky and smooth to touch. Perfect end to my car detail. Highly recommended for a pain free waxing experience!.

I used to use this all the time. Was running out and bought a new bottle as my old one of 3 years was finally almost empty. Applied after a wash/dry as I usually do and was nearly impossible to wipe off, left smudges and smears, and then what did look decent disappeared within a few weeks.

Old stuff wiped clean off and the shine/protection used to last for many months, used to be able to rinse the dirt right off it. For a vehicles paint that can be ruined easily, there’s no second chances on a reliable product.

Even if the protection didn’t last a long time, it should never smear and get stuck on there. Would not use again.

well for the life of me i just don’t understand why your vehicle must be wet. except for maybe to make the product go further. directions doesn’t say anything about sun or shade and nothing about getting it on glass or plastic trim ????? My first experience was this product may leave a great shine, BUT it streaks something terrible and i hate having to go back the next day or two to try and get rid of the streaks/smears !!! I chose Turtle Wax brand over all the many other brands because I have never heard of most of the other brands and Turtle Wax has been around for about 100 yrs.

and how can this rep be beaten. Besides I have always chosen Turtle Wax before and loved the Turtle Wax “Platinum” and “Gold” liquid polish !!!!! Sure wish that you never abandoned them !!!.

I am a car detailing hobbyist and have been coating cars for more than 10 years. I have tried Klasse AIO, Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze, CarPro CQuartz (not UK), CarPro Gliss, Pinnacle Black Label (PBL) Diamond Paint Coating, PBL Diamond Coating Booster, Blackfire BlackICE Hybrid Montan Sealant Wax, Collinite 845, Turtle Wax (TW) Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating and this TW Hybrid Ceramic Wet Wax.

My Mazda 6 was coated with PBL Diamond Paint Coating and for testing, I applied the TW Ceramic Wet Wax on the roof, trunk and the bonnet. I applied the CarPro Gliss on the 4 doors. My observation is the TW Ceramic Wet Wax did not last long.

Durability was about 2+ months maximum where it lost the hydroponic properties. It shows the gloss though. The Gliss still stayed strong after 6 months and glossy. The car is washed every week or fortnight depends on the weather and condition.

So my opinion is the Gliss is better although it’s more expensive. But it lasts longer and saves your efforts and time for reapplication.

In my opinion, this was one of the best products ANYWHERE that I have speen specifically of ceramic wet wax. I found it to be way more cost-effective, useful, and it didn’t make you feel like you spent a ton just for wanting to have a nice looking car.

It’s not necessary to always go with 1 brand like the Chem. Hermanos that are kinda overpriced in SOME, not all of the different product areas. I love this type of wet wax it really makes my paint pop.

My red car looks like a candied apple.

As a long term Ethos Ceramic wax user that has already gone through two 16 ounce bottles, I am a very happy customer and pleased by the long lasting shine that the ceramic gives my vehicles. They no longer sell the 16 ounce bottles of their Ceramic wax, but that is ok.

I have recently tried their new Resist liquid Graphene product and I am blown away by the results. The resist is even easier and faster to use than their Ceramic wax. Somehow Resist leaves a coating which looks like there is a wet layer of clear coat paint on top of whatever finish it is applied to.

It is very glossy and it brings out the metallic and flake particles in the paint, and makes them stand out. My friends are amazed, and I coated two of their vehicles. Resist will now be my replacement for all exterior vehicle car care.

Glad I ordered two 16 ounce bottles of Resist. I put Resist on two cars, my bike, and a trike, using only half of one 16 ounce bottle. Included are cell phone pictures of my bike, which really do not do justice showing the results of Resist.

You have to see the results in person to get the wow effect of the wet looking glossy shine, and the metallics and flakes in the paint popping out. Will be ordering Defy next to maintain the Graphene coated finish.

On my 2001 Mustang GT, I did a full paint correction as the 20 year old black paint was heavily oxidized. Living in Florida, and not having a garage to house it my whole life, it was been pretty tough.

After the paint correction, I applied (2) coats of Ethos Ceramic Pro wax. The first coat was applied and I waited a full 48 hours for it to fully cure before I applied the second coat. You will notice that this wax gets shinier as it cures.

Once it fully cures I was fully taken back with the results. I applied the second coat to ensure I properly protect all of my hard work. The attached pictures speak the results. I also applied the Pro Ceramic Wax to my windows, headlights, tail lights, rims (black painted), and even my powder coated calipers.

It works great for all of them. The only time it gave me a hassle was when it was applied to porous plastic trim, but the bottle does state to avoid that to be fair. Now my entire car is protected, water just falls off everything on the car now, and I did the bottle test on the hood and it slid right off.

My daughter, whom is 9, even said “wow, the car feels so soft and slick”. I upkeep the car with Ethos Ceramic Car Soap, Ethos D3FY spray to keep the coat up, Ethos quick detailer to help it pop before showing it, Ethos Tire Shine, Ethos Interior detailer, and even Ethos drying towel.

I enjoy all Ethos products.

Ahhh gosh. where do I start. ? This Ceramic Was Pro is really bad news for Auto-Detailing shops everywhere this product is available. “Pro” in the product name simply means that everyone using this will get professional level results the first time and every time there after.

Detailing vehicles for well over 20 years and I’ve never come across a product this easy to use. It spread like butter and the easiest wipe-down I’ve ever experienced. The results were extreme, I mean high levels of gloss, slickness, and depth.

These types of results would take me hours of layering sealants with waxes and then gloss enhancers and then in between waiting for everything to cure. With this product, it was a one shot deal, saving me time and the amount of different products I’d have to use to get similar results.

I had no issues with streaking, high spots or shadowing. My only problem with this product is that if the general public finds out how easy it is to use and how reasonably priced it is, they’re going to start detailing on their own and Auto-Detailers everywhere will go out of business.

Tim can you please pull this product off the shelf and sell it to professionals only?.

Purchased this after seeing a YouTube video about it used to get rid of water spots and it works. I have a dark gray car and always had nasty water spots after washing, my parking area has no shade so im always stuck washing it in the sun.

I mix this product 1:10 in a half gallon pump type sprayer and spray down the car after rinsing, let it sit for around 5 minutes then rinse again. Water seems to bead off easier and leaves a nice clear finish.

I can get away with 2 washes with 1 half gallon mix, so about 40 washes with 1 gallon of product. I’m surprised this product isn’t on every stores shelf, it’s a must have.

Liquid wax repelled water as advertised. Easy to apply. Wash your car with your favorite car wash then apply wax using a sprayer and wipe off. Mix as described with water. A little goes a long way. Next wash, dirt comes off easier.

When the car dries, no spots left behind.

I watched a video where a guy washed his car in 80-90 degree Texas heat. He showed how quickly the water spots formed after he washed and rinsed his vehicle. He sprayed the Formula 4 on the same area and then after rinsing, you could see the water bead off and not immediately spot.

He then wiped off any remaining water very easily. I duplicated this in similar temp heat and it worked just like in the video. I even tried it without wiping and I still had minimal water spots. I would still recommend to wash with good car wash to get built up dirt, bugs, and bee droppings (those little light orange/brown spots you wonder where they came from).

Then just spray from a bottle (I use a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio – Water: Formula4), and let set for just a few mins, then rinse with a good jet spray of water. Wipe down immediately and you’ll notice the difference.

At least I did.

It seems pricey at first but when you realise how little you have to use it per application, it is really good value for money. Comes with an applicator pad which means that you do not use more than is needed when applying it to your car.

Just apply leave it for a few minutes and then buff it with a microfibre towel that also come with it. The results are excellent. But make sure you wash and polish the car first. And if the paintwork is oxidised, de-oxidise it with a rubbing compound from the same manufacturer.

Youll get amazing results.

First off, this isn’t a wax as such; it’s a polymer-based synthetic sealant paste which has deep gloss enhancing properties. The product comes supplied with a good quality foam applicator pad and an equally good microfiber cloth.

The paste is thick, with the consistency of soft butter and can be applied either by hand, or by machine using a soft polishing foam pad. Most complaints that come from using waxes are related to poor initial surface preparation.

If your preparation hasn’t been done properly, you won’t see much benefit of using this, or a similar product. As a minimum, I’d recommend using a clay bar to remove surface contaminants such as mild oxidation marks, dry water spots, tar spots and dead insects.

Even better to follow the clay with an all-in-one cleaner such as Autoglym SRP, and even better still to give the paint a full correction using a machine polisher – only then will the paint surface be ready for a last stage wax or sealant.

I used this product to rejuvenate the metallic black paint on an 11 year old Hyundai I10. To prepare the paintwork, I used a clay bar followed by a 3 stage machine polishing process using a dual-action Flex polisher: First a compounding polish, then a medium cut polish and finally a finishing polish.

The paint was incredibly smooth and the metallic flake was sparkling. Before applying the paste, I gave the paint a wipe over with a 20% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) spray solution to remove any remaining traces of polish.

I used the hand application method with the supplied pad and applied a small quantity of the paste to half a panel at a time. The paste goes on very smoothly and is not “grabby” at all, unlike some natural carnauba waxes.

The paste begins to haze very quickly indicating that it’s ready to buff off. The buffing process was very easy and I had no difficulty in removing all traces of the dried paste. The product does not leave any chalky residue behind and it’s easy to rub off any over-rub on glass, vinyl or plastic trim using a cloth and IPA solution.

The result was fantastic. The black paint has a massive, deep gloss and the flake sparkles in the sunlight. Now I’ll be waiting to see what the durability is like – a good quality synthetic protectant should last 3-4 months under normal driving conditions.

From day one, I’ve been using this on my pitch black 2014 RAM that I bought brand new. Pros: This not only hides scratches but it seems to somewhat help prevent scratches. I am able to hide a few gnarly scratches I got from riding in the hills with the Ultimate.

Gives my truck and car a greasy feel that makes the next wash easier because Bugs and grime don’t stick as well. The biggest pro of all is a single coat of this wax can last a while, although I can’t say how long because I apply 2-3 coats which lasts into the fall and winter.

Cons: The shine with/from the Ultimate isn’t always the best and it’s hard to get even on the 1st coat. The small bump I get in highway fuel mileage isn’t as good as what I’ll get with Turtlewax or Meguiar’s Gold Class.

Needs a solid 24-48hr cure before trying a 2nd coat, so hopefully you don’t encounter dust or pollen. Some bugs seem to be attracted to this wax. The biggest con is the Ultimate is not easy to remove.

I need to apply a coat that’s not too thick and not too thin, and I can only use this in the morning or evening when the sun is not shining on my truck. Although, the Ultimate is not nearly as bad as the Turtle Wax Ice paste wax.

If I’m looking for a brilliant shine then I’ll apply 2 coats of the Ultimate, then I’ll put on a topping coat or Gold Class, Surf City Garage Black Edge, or another black wax. Also I have an old Gunmetal Grey 1997 Camry which has a few worn out spots and the Ultimate does a lot to help the paint job out on the Camry.

Nice shine, but I can’t say I love it. It leaves streaks and requires more passes with the microfiber to buff off, compared to other products I use. The sprayer puts out a lot of product so be prepared for that.

I did one half of my hood and moved to the other half and ended up having to do the first half again because there was so much over spray. I would be cautious using this on a black car because I know how streaky black paint can be.

I would not like this at all if I still had my black car. I haven’t tested it’s hydrophobic qualities yet but I can say the paint is super slick to the touch, even more than it was, and it was pretty slick.

This is a brand new car with only 400 miles on it and it’s been waxed and sealed. I also use products like this on my rims because it causes any dirt to just slide right off with your microfiber. You can just wipe off brake dust.

It won’t even stick as long as you have a good clear coat. It’s also good for exterior trim and glass. It just streaks a bit too much. I don’t like having to go over my car with a chamois afterwards and if I don’t I’ll find streaks or patches of dried product because of all the overspray here and there when I’m just walking around the car.

In the picture with the streaks that was after three passes with my microfiber cloth and you can see there was still a lot more wiping I would have to do to get all that product off. Every pass of your cloth is a chance to make scratches so I don’t like products that require a lot of wiping.

Maybe if they adjusted the sprayer to release less product that would help but even when I am careful to not pull the full squeeze and release a smaller amount of product, even that smaller amount needs more wiping than Meguiars or Griott’s.

But back to that shine—it could be my imagination but I think it’s a little shinier. The picture of the passenger side of the car is before Mother’s and then the picture of the driver side is after Mother’s.

I buy this all the time. Cinnamon scented quick detail spray. This stuff is the most amazing thing ever created. I use it for touch up wipe downs – plus I use it with my clay bar. I only wish I could buy a barrel of it.

Well it’s a very good product from Mother’s. It’s best put on a clean surface in a cool shady area. You have to spray liberally to get an even coat. Also after rubbing in all over the car I found rubbing again all over worked well.

Surprisingly great on the tail lights and chrome.

Used the Torque ceramic detail for the first time yesterday on my wife’s car. I’m very impressed so far. I’ve always used non ceramic detail / wax related products and was curious to see how this product would perform.

No doubt the gloss and depth of shine are apparent. Car is white so hard to distinguish extreme differences between the ceramic detailer versus other top ranked detailers. I did like the ease of application, small amount used which covers a lot, and non streak final polish when doing the final drying step.

Have the car indoors and climate controlled for the recommended 24-48 hours. Curious to see if it will truly last 12 months as a ceramic coating states in the product data. I’m an avid detailer and car perfectionist / enthusiast so car will never go 12 months without further attention to detail.

Hoping to notice hydrophilic effect and dirt / dust repellent properties as described in the product markets. The Torque company does a great job promoting their products and seem to be very knowledgeable.

I have a black car that’s next for use of this product. Can’t wait to see what it does on a color as such which displays details (good or bad) much better than white. Will try to follow up more as time passes.

I used Ceramic spray on my new torch red C8 Corvette. The mirror shine looks and feels amazing. I also used turbo waterless wash a few days later for the anti static properties. My car stays so clean now, even after a week of sitting in the garage the dust on the car is minimal.

Any dust on the car blows off as soon as I drive the car. I have never used a product that kept my car so clean. Couldn’t be happier with Torque detail products.

This product is very different than other spray wax products. I was sceptacle about seeing any distinct differences or benefits versus their competitors, however I became a believer once I used the product.

It really does make your vehicle look “wet” and have a deeper luster- especially if you have metallic paint. It makes your paint look 3-D in a strange kind of way. Use the cleaning Detox solution first to remove all your built-up soot then dry your vehicle and spray on the wax.

Buff it out to an unbelievable shine then apply the ceramic spray. Buff that and your done. Regular washing after will bring back that shine from the last buffing. It truly is amazing stuff.

This stuff works great. It can be applied fast by hand and after about 2-3 minutes can be quickly removed/leveled. My car is a deep red with a lot of metal flake and pearl, and this did add a glossy depth to it.

Shine/reflectivity is immediately noticeable after finishing. I recommend applying this by hand since using a power buffer or other tool is not necessary (there are no abrasives in this like a compound or polish).

Using a small round foam or microfiber applicator pad to apply it works best. Once the pad is loaded/saturated, applying a mininal amount of product to the pad is all that is needed. Just enough to evenly coat the paint.

If you use too much too thick and you wait too long to wipe it off, it will be a struggle to remove it and will take some extra elbow grease and time. When applying thin, you need to have a good angle of sight across the body panel so you can distinguish a reference point where you applied it, and also see that you are applying conservatively but covering fully without running “dry.

” The instructions say to wait 3-5 minutes to wipe and remove. for most conditions i have found that 1-3 minutes is easier to remove depending on whether you are in sunlight or shade. 5 minutes seems a little long for this product as it sets up fast to the surface.

Also be aware that this will not haze or “fog up” like an old-school wax. Generally, if you are applying it correctly, the foggiest it will look is the instant you apply it. After a minute, it will become less hazy and start leveling off, and depending on your paint it may be hard to see where you did or didnt apply it before you remove it.

For removal a microfiber towel is okay, but I recommend a finer fiber mit or detailing cloth, the results seem smoother and more consistent with the softer plush detailing towels. The hydrophobic properties of this stuff is great.

Water beads and falls quickly with little to no trace. What’s nice is that you dont have to worry about avoiding black plastic trim, chrome, plastic, or glass. Theres no white residue or weird effects.

This stuff can be used on all of that, including headlights, exterior glass etc. I used it across some chrome pieces and some black plastic window trim and the door sails and it sets up nicely and added shine to them just the same.

This is one of my new favorite products as it can be applied quick without worrying about extra mess, and so far it seems to last quite a long time.

I heard that ceramic coating assisted in the prevention of AZ Pinstriping (trail branches) and when investigating the cost i decided to look for DIY solutions. I bought Meguiars because of its show car quality.

The application was simple and the results were amazing. I have been off-road many times and although I do a great job of keeping the branches off the truck it still happens. After washing the truck there have been NO scratches while other trucks on the ride have experienced scratches into the clear coat.

After I wash it I apply another coating of Maguiars Hybrid Wax Spray to enhance the protection. I highly recommend this product for all applications.

Meguiars have listened to the market and released the liquid version of their popular (and controversial) Hybrid Ceramic Wax. This time you use it in the traditional way. Wash your car, remove contaminants if needed, polish if needed, and apply this.

They also claim you can top this over another sealant or wax, but I’d recommend to apply to clean paint. Application: You need maybe about 3 dime sized dots on an applicator pad, this seems to be enough for an entire panel.

You can apply in either circular or hash, it really doesn’t matter. I applied it circular. It goes on smooth and easy. But not quite as easy as something like Collinite 845, but it’s no issue. I did one panel, moved onto the next, then started removing the previous panel.

Removal: This is where it gets a little interesting, this does not haze like other waxes or sealants. It actually dries about 80% clear. I’d knock a half star off because on my silver impreza, it was extremely hard to see where I have applied! This is probably why they suggest you do one panel at a time and not the entire vehicle.

It might not be an issue on darker colors so YRMV. Otherwise, the actual removal with a microfiber is one of the easiest on the market. Performance: The water beading is great, I would say it’s 90% close to something like Fusso Coat which is legendary for it’s water repelling ability.

For those wondering why care about water beading, it’s just an easy INDICATOR to see if there is still product on the paint over time. It also makes it easier to dry as the surface tension is higher.

Also I suppose this is more theoretical, but a higher surface tension means higher ability to deflect dirt and grime. Durability: Can’t comment on this since it’s only been applied for a couple of days.

Meguiars on their forum also does suggest a 24 hour cure before getting it wet or washing it. And I’m not a fan of the chemical tests as it’s not a real world indicator of durability to me. But if this is the same as the blue HCW spray version, it should get a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months of solid performance.

Visual: The Gloss is amazing, it bumped up my already polished impreza just up another notch. Of course you would think it’s just Placebo as I told myself the same thing. But at least to my eyes it seems glossier.

Maintenance: This is also where it gets interesting, so Meguiars have another product called Ceramic Detailer you can use in between washes and boost the performance to extend it. OR you can use the original blue spray and rinse HCW.

Going that method I think will make this last for more than 6 months since that’s pretty much like re-applying full strength again. At that point it’s going to be hard to tell when the original base layer of this Ceramic wax would have failed.

Conclusion: All in all I’m very happy with this. It’s enjoyable to work with, looks and performs great. I’m only knocking off a half star because it doesn’t haze after application. The price seemed high at first until you start looking at other liquid ceramic waxes on the market.

It’s either the same or under those, so the value is there if that’s what you’re looking for.

this is my personal experience, just average amateur car owner. i expected this to be one and done process or at least once a year because it was a tiring process and i was disappointed. just 2-3 weeks exposure to heavy afternoon thunderstorm and pressure water cleaning, the coating washed off.

This my general process of my application, maybe someone here might point out if i missed an important process that i should or not have done. had the car washed in a local carwash establishment, let dry, let it cool down, parked in a shade in between trees (i dont have a personal indoor garage).

began applying the spray, shake it first before squeezing. i can say i over did it because there were streaking in the surface of the panels. car covered it, waited another 22-23 hrs and do it all over again for the 2nd coat.

i did not use the car during these period for the “curing”. thats it and the sealant still came off in just 2-3 weeks.

Bought this thinking I’d try out a ‘ceramic’ product on my nearly new metallic grey car. I’ve been using an older Meguiars synthetic product to add some gloss and protection after washing. This Turtle product is easy to spray on, but I find buffing it off difficult.

Plus the instructions don’t make it clear how quickly I can buff it off. I did one coat. And then after taking all that trouble of buffing (by hand), the ‘slick’ feel of the paintwork seems to go within 4 weeks! And that’s with my car parked in a garage almost all the time! Turtle Wax didn’t respond to several emails.

Will never use again, and wish I could return it.

This amazing product will replace all other waxes, detailing sprays and cleaning preps in my tool chest. It went on as easily as any detail spray or surface cleaner I have ever used, but the results blew me away! This ceramic wax enhances color depth like no other while providing eye catching shine.

I didn’t even have to use a deep cleaning, grime, wax or even a water spot remover prior to applying, the spray on wax seemed to removed it all. For duller areas I did use Turtle’s Hybrid Solutions Wax with Polishing Compound.

Only hand polishing was needed on a 21 year old surface. this is seriously good stuff! I watched an independent UTube video against the top competitors for these products and the Turtle also had the best results for outlasting shine when subjected to a multitude of harsh cleaning products.

This stuff also seems to be safe on vinyl and rubber surfaces and does not leave a chalky white residue like traditional wax. It’s INSANE !.

Ive used the Chemical Guys Maxi-Suds for the past year but decided when I got my new truck to take my car care to the next level. I got their OG Clay Bar, Happy Ending and Waffle towels, and Banana Spray Wax.

The Banana Spray wax was the last step after Washing, Drying, and Clay Barring (with Lube). The Banana spray smells so good you want to eat it. And most importantly it wipes on and buffs easily with their happy ending or similar microfiber towel.

Its very forgiving, leaves no streaks or greasiness, and compliments high gloss paint perfectly. Perfect for in between yearly or seasonal waxes to extend wash cycles. Def recommend.

Don’t go thinking this is a long lasting wax. It’s not. 2 months if you don’t drive a lot, so it’s not a replacement for a quality wax such as you find with Collonite 845. But it is great for a quick and easy job because you don’t have the current time to put on a more solid application of collonite 845.

Most carnuba waxes have a certain amount of carnuba in them, usually very low and the grade of carnuba usually ain’t as close to being good as you would expect. Hence why these two factors alone determine the longevity and UV effectiveness on your vehicles.

This is why I use the Collonite 845. Just one thin invisible coat dries to a haze and lasts for 6 months. Plenty of quality carnuba there. I kept a truck for 20 years, looking brand spanking new this way and it stayed in the hot Florida sun the entire life span of the vehicle.

How does this relate to This spray and wax? Well I’ll tell you, even though this has a low amount of carnuba in it, it’s still great for those those times (such as on a date with a respectable gal) when you want to up the shine after a good wash ooooor when you yer car is losing its shine just two months away from a good coat of Collonite but it can wait.

Wash the vehicle, dry it then use this and yer good to go for a couple months. Max! I’ll always keep this easy to use product on my shelf.

Simple to use. wash your car, wet your car, apply the Tech Shine with the provided sponge to all of it. Metal, plastic trim, glass, rubber trim. whatever. Probably not the tires. but apply and rub in a thin coat of it, top to bottom.

Then hose it off and dry your car. It wont look any different then, but you will know its working the next time it rains or you wash your vehicle. Water beads up and runs off, dirt doesnt stick, and it makes washing easier.

One coating lasts a while and its easy to re-apply every couple months.

Puts a great shine on the black painted vehicle with very little effort. Many of the swirls disappeared and also left the surface water repellent. It was a little expensive put the results is well wort it.

The application was just as easy as described and the slick surface it left on both of my vehicles is quite impressive. A few small spots here ‘n there needed to be buffed a bit more with a microfiber towel once the surface was dry, but all in all, I’m very happy with the finish.

I’m going to re-apply another layer of Tech Shine sometime in May, to test and see how long the finish lasts during the summer months in the hot Florida sun.

Detailers perspective. Great product if you’re looking to stretch your dollar. At about. 20 an ounce, it’s a steal if you’re inclined to buy retail products in a pinch. I use it as a drying agent after a wash.

Spray on while the vehicle is still wet before you wipe dry. Safe to use on ALL exterior areas including chrome, plastic, glass. Be sure to work in the shade and use the product sparingly to avoid streaking.

I stick to about 2 sprays per panel. If applying to a dry car, apply evenly to panel and make a second pass of buffing it with the other/dry side of your microfiber towel. When applying to a dry car, a second coat will give you great protection for weeks.

The glow and shine/depth of the paint after application is similar to results I get from much more expensive Si02 ceramic spray products. Use it after every wash as a maintenance application to protect the paint and or the longevity of your base wax job.

Great value and performance out of such a budget big box off the shelf option!.

Am a weekend detailing warrior but had never used a drying aid previously, couldn’t really see the point, but saw this on YouTube and was intrigued. Seemed to make drying easier and left a coat of protection so I thought worth a try.

Must say I am very impressed. Super easy to put on and take off and leaves a nice, shiny finish. Don’t be tempted to use too much, just a light spray is all that is needed. Get in the habit of when you’re about to spray just say to yourself; ‘I’m probably about to use too much’ and ease up a fraction.

Not quite as easy as YouTube will lead you to believe. The ‘drying/ spreader’ cloth gets pretty wet and heavy fairly quickly so you’re not really flipping the cloth for a buff as they show you but I had a couple of good quality, super soft buffers ready so once spread, grabbed a dry cloth for a buff and it came up really nice.

I get the impression that this stuff has been around for a while so nice to see that it so effective and perfectly adequate for these more demanding times. I’ll be using this for every wash from now on.

I bought this product to possibly replace the paste wax. Being in my early 60’s the paste wax on wax off & shine shine shine is getting to be too much. I’ve used turtle wax since my ’74 Charger days in the late ’70’s.

I’ve tried other brands (short lived) but always came back to turtle wax. Always been happy with that paste product, but now time & energy are both a premium, so I had to find an alternative. Refer to my title & I rated it 4 out of 5 stars only because I have not experienced it’s durability just how well it’s holds up to our KC pounding rain storms.

Thus my question; would it be advantageous to apply a second coat a day or two later. This was so easy to use it feels like prayers answered. I can use this monthly now & I really do like them prospects.

The once or twice a year paste application was not only exhausting, but I wished I could do it more often. See photo. Not bad for an almost daily driven 85k mile 12 year old car.

I’ve been around the block, and Meguiar’s Wax products have always been one of the most popular car wax products on the market for achieving an enduring, brilliant shine to a just washed vehicle. I also read some recent reviews about Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax (pros and cons) and from other comparable products on the market and found that Meguiar’s still seemed like the car wax product for me.

I applied two coats to the most sun exposed areas of the vehicle, such as roof, hood, and trunk. Going on fourth week with same car detail, and when it rains, the water still beads up nicely unlike all the other car details we’ve gotten in the past from the dealer to independent car wash facilities.

My next purchase will be with Meguiar’s, however, I may try Meguiar’s Carnuba Wax, but only as a comparison. Best regards! Pros: Brilliant shine, neat, clean, cool appearance compared to a carnuba wax (meaning no worries about any wax going on any plastic pieces, shines them all as well), and an enduring detailed appearance.

Cons: More difficult to remove (more rubbing involved). When wax was applied to the hood, I found that it was even a little more difficult to remove then the rest and it also seemed spotty looking, but it cleared up.

As with all car wax products; best results in the shade, for your health’s sake, and in using this wax product (read label instructions for best results). Wearing gloves are also suggested.

Here’s the thing; I’ve tried countless waxes and polishes over the years. I’ve even done comparisons using one product on half the car VS another. I’ve used expensive and run-of-the- mill products. My sample times have usually been apply in the Fall, see how it performs over a southern Ontario winter, then re-apply with something else in the Spring and see how it withstands the relentless heat/humidity.

My experiments have been on plain, untreated factory paint. I found the Meguiar’s Ultimate Wax to last the longest. It beads water the longest and remains durable with occasional brushed car washes over the winter.

It takes the longest to break down. Aside, it also leaves a fantastic shine with simply one easy to apply coat. If you are looking for longevity in your protection, this one beats out a ton of other products on the market.

I bought this to wax a class B motorhome based on a 20 foot van. I had bad recollections of waxing our old 40 foot motorhome, which would take an eternity. I washed the van then got busy waxing. Instead of trying to pour the wax onto the vertical sides and watching it run off, I poured some on the supplied applicator pad and applied it to one panel at a time, or even a half panel for the large ones.

Then I would apply to the next panel while the first dried. Then it was just a process of waxing one, letting one dry, and polishing off the already hazed one. Relatively quickly I was done. Now, a couple months later, the van still shines and seems to stay clean.

After a recent trip the bugs simply wiped off without the usual scrubbing. Water still beads and rolls off well. I have a car with dealer-applied paint protectant that I bought about the same time as I waxed the van.

The Mequiars seems to bead and repel water better than the expensive coating on the car. And it did not even take the full bottle to do the entire van including all glass. The best wax I have used in over a half century of driving.

Not perfect, but still better than anything exceptmvery high-end polishes requiring major labor to apply.

turtle wax carnauba wax cleaner leaves great shine on panels, requires slightly more effort to buff to shine than other products I have used but worth the effort. remember to buy foam applicator to apply product as it doesn’t come with one.

Good product.

Used this wax twice now just as a try and test out of curiosity, it goes on quite well, a little goes a long way! buffing out is easy by hand, and wax an OK amount of protection and beading but it does not last as long as a good paste wax should, therefor i would recommend researching other products to find something with a bit more longevity than this.

This is a great product and I am super glad that I purchased it. It created a nice, sleek shine to my car! Even after weeks from the application, and rain, I can still feel the sleekness to the car. Some people may have given this product bad reviews, and I don’t understand why.

You have to be sure that you applied the product properly, and take your time, or you might not get the results you were looking for. I spent about 3-4 hours applying this product, and even though it was tedious at some times, afterwards, and couldn’t even think about complaining anymore.

Although, I do agree that it is really hard to get the applicator pad out of the package, but the product doesn’t deserve a bad review just because of that. Overall, great product! I was expecting more shine after I applied the product, but nevertheless, am I extremely happy! I don’t normally post reviews, but I can’t let this product recieve 3.

I picked this up at Autozone after reading about it online. Looked interesting, so I bought a bottle and applied it to my wife’s minivan in late spring. What impressed me more than anything else was how this product absolutely REPELLED road grime and maintained its shine.

I sat out on my front porch throughout the summer looking down on that minivan, and it always looked like it had just been washed. It’s been eight months now, and the shine and dirt repelling properties are not showing any signs of giving out.

As recommended, I applied two coats, allowing the recommended curing time between treatments. I was so pleased with the results after the summer, I decided to use this ceramic spray on my Volvo C-30, and like the minivan, it continues to repel road grime and always looks like it’s just been washed.

I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve been a Meguires fan-boy for 30 years, but this 3-in-1 has convinced me Girot’s has something special in this product. And what is it with that alien green color? It’s.

mysterious. One bottle was enough for two coats on the minivan and Volvo. It’s an easy-peasy spay-on/wipe off operation with a microfiber towel. Personally, I recommend washing first with a synthetic “clay bar” type sponge to provide a completely clean and smooth surface, then move it to a shady spot and hit it with this stuff to provide long-term protection.

Next spring, it’s going on the BMW. There may be other products out there that provide higher gloss, but I’ve never seen anything repel dirt like this, and the shine is still there after eight months.

Highly recommended, and worth giving a try.

I think it is pretty good. I have old 1997 Honda CRV with horrible paint job. But for curiosity I put it on that car. The paint that is still on it really shines. and the part that lost the clear coat.

not so much. But everyone is amazed that it shined the old paint on it and wanted to know what I used to clean it. Put it on my 2004 CRV with normal paint and it really made it shine. Very pleased with the result.

I still have enough left to do the 2004 again.

I had a decent day where I could wash my car and put this stuff on before snow came in. Made my car super shiney. I have a pearl white Camry. So it brought the shine out. I used about 1/4 of a bottle for the whole car.

Anyway after the snow it was incredibly dirty. Still couldn’t wash car cause the weather was just too bad. Then we had some rain and it looked like I had went through a car wash. That stuff is just that good! Definitely will be buying again.

Wished I had pics to prove. I’ll definitely be taking some next time!.

I’m very impressed with Shine Armor. I had bought a new car this past August and I like to keep it looking new and well maintained. However, it’s difficult to find an affordable, but also efficient way to do so.

That’s where Shine Armor comes in. I cleaned my car using it and it left my car looking clean and new. I love how it also seems to have a dirt repellant, because my work garage can get pretty dusty. I haven’t had the issues I had before with dirt and dust collecting.

My car is a dark black so a lot of dusty stains can show up on it; with Shine Armor my car looks new again and I’ve actually had people ask if I traded in for another new car. The best part is that one bottle lasts quite some time.

I use it about once a month and it’s lasted about 4 months or so. Maybe it’s just because I’m not using a whole lot, but a little goes a long way. Definitely impressed and would recommend anyone looking for a auto mechanic alternative to giving your car that new car shine.
