Over the years I have tried many products, but have never really been totally satisfied. I have fine hair and a lot of the products that I have tried tend to clump the hair together or make it look flat and lifeless or indeed greasy.

I have a lot of long fine wavy/curly hair. My hair needed frizz control and heft that didn’t weigh it down or make it look greasy. I bought this on a whim, but I can tell you, it’s my favorite hair product I’ve ever bought.

It’s great to control fly always when I wear my hair up and gives my curls definition when I wear it down. I’ve never been able to wear my hair down for more than one day without washing it. A tiny bit of this wax makes my hair look like I just washed and dried it.

The matte finish controls frizz without making it look greasy. I’m positive this won’t work for everyone, but I’m obsessed.

With nails, too difficult to get out of container. Did not emulsify to my liking. Returning product but doesn’t mean it is not a good product. I found a product that I loved.

I’ve been a HUGE customer of Murray’s edgewax throughout my ENTIRE braid career for 5 years now and it has been my best friend as I use 60+ jars a week at my braid salon. My braid career has completely revolved around this product.

But for the past 2 years there has been so many inconsistencies in the product that my clients are starting to complain on my business, my braid quality, and ask me to no longer use the product. The jars have changed, the ingredients have changed, the ingredients and density are very inconsistent, there has been a major product shortage with this company, and I am no longer producing the best results for my clients.

Murray did that, LEMME TELL YA! Sis, I’m not sure what some of these reviews are talking about it not working on 4c hair and on unruly hair but my hair is ALL of the above and it did what it needed to do.

The only time I can truthfully say my edges did not lay was when it was extremely hot outside, (Georgia girl here) then they curled right on up, they had nice curl definition tho 😂 but curled nonetheless.

But a little a/c and a satin scarf got me right. I even use this to slick down my Lil Ashanti sideburns cause I’m pretty wooly not Gon lie. But it works so well on them, gives me a nice clean groomed look.

I bought this product to use on my pixie cut. I was originally looking for spray wax but I’m glad I came across this product. I have very thick, curly hair with an undercut pixie. This product works great to hold down unruly hairs and helps me get a crisp finish to my style.

This product gives you great control with a flexible hold. I also have allergies and a sensitive scalp and this product has done it’s job and not bothered my skin.

Very easy to use and not messy! To achieve the viral fluffy brows I used this on a spooly brush and my eyebrows looks amazing! When using it to “lay” my baby hairs (I actually wanted to tuck them out of site LOL) this did the trick.

Even with wind blowing my baby hairs did not break loose. It does not leave the hair looking crunchy or greasy. The photographed texture looks natural and the hold lasts all day. I hate most gels because it makes your hair look sectioned/crunchy but this helped me hide my baby hairs and breakage as natural as possible with long lasting results.

I use this product to give my hair a more fixed swept look- not for spiking. I wanted a product that would let me run my fingers through my hair and this does the job! I usually blow dry it into style and use this to fix it in place and it holds for 48 hours through a sleep until I shower.

If my hair grows longer than a couple of inches though, it doesn’t hold as well and I end up with a few loose stands. Pic was taken about 30 hours after styling, after 10 hours of sleep and slouching around all day! Also lasts ages- a very small scoop on one finger achieved this look.

So the packaging is so cute. It’s small enough to travel with but still had a decent amount of product in it that you don’t feel cheated. I love the consistency of it, it’s not sticky and goes on to the hair nice and smooth.

Although it goes on white it soaks into your hair almost immediately and there’s no hassle of waiting for it to dry. I have to use this product along with others because my texture can be unruly at times but it definitely makes the taming process much more manageable.

This product is good value for money it has already paid for its self i have fixed 8 out 0f 10 watches. If you think logical it is easy to use. No instructions but plenty of online videos showing how to use.

Do check you largest watch back before buying. The adjustable tool in this one is 50mm the largest. You will need to buy a watch back press for refitting the back of the watches.

I used this when I used to style my super short hair. I loved how the product smelled and I thought the hold was excellent. The only thing is that this is a learning curve product. It’s so good that it’s very easy to overdo it when applying to your hair.

I have this product in the stick version, it smells lightly like flowers (lavender?) and is really easy to work with. My hair is longer now but when it was shorter i used it often for definition and separation on choppy razored ends and it was perfect for what I needed.

It’s a thick and slightly greasy wax so a little goes a long way— I wouldn’t recommend using this anywhere near your scalp unless you don’t have greasy hair in any way, because it’ll quickly make you look like you need a shower.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SURFACE SHINE WAX. It’s a pomade that is not greasy and helps not only style my hair, but also has a nice wax! Great texture and it works fantastic!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I like this curling wax when flat ironing my daughter’s hair. I found that if I cost her hair with this prior to flatironing it maintains the style longer. My daughter has dark slightly course hair. It also seems to prevent heat damage to her hair.

I recommend this product and I would buy it again.

This works great on my daughters natural hair. She is 13 and loves it. It holds up fairly well in humidity or rain. I wash blow dry and apply this wax just before flatironing.

Oribe products are unbeatable. You won’t find a better product on the market that even comes close to this molding paste. Pairs great with the Oribe Superfine Hairspray to ‘lock’ your style in place for the whole day without making your hair look crispy and hard (like majority of other hairsprays).

I prefer the matte clay now that I’ve tried both. I like the matte natural look of the clay as a well as the slightly former hole and the added texture it gives my layered slightly curly hair. This is fantastic stuff, though.

I was looking for a pomade that could hold down frizz and keep my hair in place without it being crunchy feeling from hairspray. I tried this on in store and compared it to the OUAI matte pomade and actually preferred this one more.

The scent isn’t too overpowering, smells like a light ocean breeze cologne. I don’t mind the scent and you can’t even smell it after you put it in your hair. A little goes a long way and I use it everyday on my bangs and shorter front pieces.

I will say that it lasts the whole day/night if you put the right amount depending on how much hair you have. Haven’t tried this pomade for a slick bun so I’m not sure how it will last.

I have short, thin, fine and super limp hair. The other day, I was stopped by a stranger who said she LOVED my hair. Why? Because it had body and style. The gal even stepped closer and asked me if I had natural curl in my hair.

I told her I use the Short Sexy Hair products. I dry my hair with some mousse and one of those dryer brushes (so I can curl and dry at the same time). Then I use my curling iron to put in a few curls.

I use a little of the Control Maniac and rub the fingers together of both hands to warm it up a little, and then mess up the curls some, then I spray it to lock it all in. The nice thing is that my hair is still soft.

(I tried the Frenzy stuff, but everything is so stiff. ) Anyhow, Control Maniac is awesome! Lots of shine and your hair can still be touched without the touchee coming away with sticky fingers. :).

This product is simply amazing. I used this product when I had short hair referred to me by my hairstylist and I do not regret buying it one bit. It holds hair in any shape way or form for hours. My hair was always in my face so I would shape it on the side of my face and my hair would never bother me.

The great thing is that it doesn’t leave your hair looking oily or wet.

I’ve used a lot of different products, I’d say this has the consistency like american crew forming cream and the final texture and shape of tea tree shaping cream. I mean that it feels like a putty in the hands but once done styling it’s a very natural look that isn’t remotely wet and does not piece together chunks of hair.

This product is actually much lighter than that of even the shaping cream, which is already super light. I noticed my hair kept the same volume unlike with the shaping cream. As for hold it seems to be strong, as my style holds up fine.

The only con is that for me I get more flyaways than with other products because it does not piece together hair at all. Not a huge problem, maybe the occasional 2-3 strands on my forehead after walking outside in weather, but it’s really not a big deal.

Easily fixed throughout the day since it remains very workable. Still experimenting though, maybe my front just needs more product. I would make sure to really rub it in your hands and try not to smear it over your hair, because it may flake.

Style with your fingers, not your palm. You can get away with it with some other products that have a more wet look, but I wouldn’t with this one.

Bought 60 Proof Wax after years of using another brand hair wax. This is by far the best hair styling product I have used. It has a nice hold and great smell that works great with my short hair style and thin hair.

It also does a good job of taming any frizz in the hot humid air. The texture is soft and easy to emulsify unlike most other wax products and leaves my hair smelling great all day. At night, the product washes out easy.

Overall it is a great product.

My husband and my son get a lot of use from this product. Probably my husbands favorite pomade we have. Holds the hair in place without feeling hard or flaking. The smell is wonderful and even my son likes fixing his hair with this product.

I have actually used this on my hair. Works just as good as waxes made for women if not a little better. Leaves hair easy to manage has a great scent. I have used it on my son’s hair also, great for styling short hair.

I am not a big fan of any waxes though because they all seem really sticky, this one no more so than others.

As a hair stylist this product is great for men who want that all day hold style. It also has a great smell. The only down side to this product is that it can be kind of sticky and if too much is put on it leaves white flakes in their hair after a few hours.

I have used a number of UC’s products but continue to use the Matte Pomade continuously. It has a great hold, no shine which is a huge plus. Over lockdown I grew my hair out like a lot of people and decided to go to for a traditional barber cut afterwards ending up with a slick back style. I found my existing hair products a bit lacking so decided to look into getting more professional (if you will) products.

After some research I liked the look of Uppercut’s products and also their brand ideals and after browsing their site settled on the Matte Pomade. Now that I’ve been using it for a while and figured out the best amount and application for my hair I’m really pleased with it.

It’s light and not too shiny giving my hair a natural look which I really like. It also washes out well with water meaning I don’t have to put my hair through shampooing every day but still working without making my hair greasy or limp a couple of days after shampooing.

I do find I need to hold the sides with some hairspray but that could be down to my hair or inexperience in styling longer hair (any plans for adding hairspray to your range?). Just on a side note, I was sent a really handy little guide with the product that gave scores out of 10 for hold and shine for all the styling products which was much more helpful than the info on the site in my opinion.
