20 Best Wax Buffer For Cars (2023 Updated)

This shower curtain is one of the best I have ever bought. This is the second one, exactly like the first. Length is exact and misses the floor by 1/4 inch. I got the second one to hang when washing the first one.

I found that white vinegar pre soak , followed by a hot wash with a lot of bleach makes it look brand new again. Didnt hurt it one bit.

I bought this wen waxer about a year ago. I have used it mainly as a massager. Everyone that I used it on gives it raving reviews including myself. I have sents purchased one for my son-in-law and another one for my mom and I’m back to get one for my sister.

Everyone loves getting a massage with this waxer. At Family reunions there was a line. The reason I picked this one was because the handles make it easy to hang on to. It easy to hang on the back of a door with a towel under it to use on yourself.

With the way the head ocelots it has not tangle in hair. I love it.

I have the WP900 and it worked as it should for about 6 hours worth of vehicle polishing over the 2. 5 years I owned it and it just failed. I opened it up and found that the on/off switch connections had wore a hole thru the plastic casing of the two power leads to the motor causing it to short out.

I spoke w/customer service and explained the issue and was told since it was out of warranty I could bring it to a service center and show them the issue and maybe they would do something for me. Not worth the trouble for a $30 tool that failed with so little use.

The problem is the power leads are too tight so they rub against the bottom of the switch connects so it was just a matter of time before this was going to happen. Disappointed to say the least that even though it is 2.

5 years old it had so few hours of actual use on it when it failed.

3. 5 Stars. This buffer works well. The cord is longer than other buffers I looked at, which is a big plus. The buffer pad that was included, pretty much single use because it tears easily. I was able to erase fine scratches in my paunt easily.

Mother’s polish works great with this buffer. 4 Stars if it were to include 2 applicators, or if applicator were easier to change. Overall Good value for price paid.

Delivery was super fast. The instructions for use of the polisher were clear and easy to follow. I did my wife’s car, then mine, then my son’s car over the weekend. This polisher made short and easy work of my “honey do’s.

” If you want to keep your cars paint from fading with a good wax job 2-4 times a year, I highly recommend this random orbiting polisher by the great Black and Decker. The warrantee far surpasses its competition.

I build electric guitars for my use and as a hobby. This hand buffer is EXCELLENT for this kind of work. It’s a bit bigger than I thought it would be but it can be operated with one hand (with occasional help form the other).

It’s got a thick foam pad attached to it so there’s little risk of burn through. I gave a headstock I was working on a coat of coarse polish, then some swirl remover and finished it off with carnuba wax.

It produced a mirror finish in less than 15 minutes. No need to break the bank for a high dollar buffer. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and easy to use. Sure beats doing by hand. Use this to polish my camper nose cap and it takes way less effort and less than half the time to do the work. Recommend this if your looking for a hand polisher.

Polisher/Sander is exactly what I was looking for. Smaller size than the 10″ that I had, allows more precise waxing around body parts, less waxing (almost none) with a hand pad

It is perfect size and eight for me , I been in automotive business over 50 years and have always used heavy commercial buffers and the weight of those buffers are all you need but heavy to get around with.

This Turtle wax buffer is the perfect size ad weight , and i use it more than my heavy type. Plus I have found over the years that Turtle wax does just as good if not better job than the more expensive waxes.

Years ago when I started driving my Black BMW 840i I had to keep quick spray detailer in the car to wipe it continually and then one day i switched off to Turtle wax quick spray detailer and found it easier and lasted longer and shine more and my cars go in cars shows cause of not only a dealer and automotive service all my life , but a collector of classic cars too.

This Buffer is ideal for anyone that wants great shine and not all the work that goes into a large commercial buffer.

Polisher is easy to grab, but does not polish very much. I had to “polish” the car by hand, as it does not do the job. As well, when trying to remove the foam applicator, it tore on the edge. Foam is very delicate, so if you purchase this, be careful when trying to remove the foam applicator.

Works Great!!! I used it to polish and wax my daughter’s black 2009 Honda Civic. She is a college student and her car is always parked outside in the weather and next to sprinklers on campus. Using a good polish removed the watermarks from the clear coat.

I then applied a good layer of wax for the topcoat. I was amazed at how easy this machine handled throughout the entire process!!! See attached picture.

For the price this thing is fantastic. Obv it would not be what a pro would buy, but I am a weekend warrior car guy who is trying to learn how to do better paint correction. I found the microfiber bonnet too harsh so I did not use that.

I used some Velcro to attach some softer ones I got online. Since I am new at this I did not want to cut the paint too deep. Better to do more passes instead. All in all it works great and I am very pleased with the results.

Really helped to buff and wax our 17`boat. It comes with two pads which is not really enough, so get more pads when you buy it. I have been happy with other Ryobi products and I expect this one to last as well.

I used this polisher three days for use on my fibreglass rv it worked great. The only problem I had was with the foam pad that is attached to the machine. It separated when I took the bonnets off and on.

Had to return.

This product worked very well for me. I purchased this and Meguiar’s DMCKIT6 DA Microfiber Correction System Kit. It was purchased to attempt to correct a 9-year old, weathered and damaged metallic black with clearcoat finish.

I used the correction kit with this to successfully correct most of the paint issues on my car. The polisher performed flawlessly. Compared to a traditional high speed buffer it is much easier to use and much safer/friendlier to paint.

The digital torque load management and ramping startup speed is different than a regular buffer or grinder, but actually part of the magic of why this polisher effectively buffs/polishes yet with little risk to paint, corners, edges, or trim.

It is relatively light weight for what it is. It is built well, and looks easy to maintain. It even comes with spare brushes which can be quickly changed. If I could add three things to this, it would be 1) slightly longer cord (still used with an extension), spring-loaded handle fasteners with quick locks so the handle can rotate without loosening/tightening, and a nice case.

These are minor convenience improvements only though. I am happy with the results from using this. The product performed quite well. I highly recommend it and the paint correction kit if needed.

Product works like wonders but my god does that machine vibrate like crazy. I wouldn’t say ergonomics is its go to since vibration, of course, is part of ergonomics. I suggest using work gloves to help with the vibration a bit.

Other than that, it works! Update:(January 25, 2019) machine decided to go down on me while i was working on the truck. Comes to find out the wiring broke on me while I was working on an expensive project Im doing for a client before ceramic coating) I saw similar problems from other reviews but I had my benefit of the doubt.

Im very disappointed that this happened to me. As the machine was working well on the project and now Im down on the machine and this is going postpone my work and my client isnt going to be pleased with the delay of work.

The product is just like new! It comes complete with unit, battery and charger. I have a number of WORX products that use the 20V battery and it is compatible with that item. The cost was significantly cheaper than buying it brand new.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I like to buy new equipment, but, WORX was out-of-stock and this item was available. It’s size is a bit larger than the pictures show, but, it is the same size as most polishers / buffers on the market and it is cordless.

Doesn’t get better than that. Great Buy!.

I bought this to use on my Ram 2500 Mega Cab, Honda Fit, and RV. I have used it on my Ram to wax/buff and then apply a ceramic coating. It does a fantastic job! I buffed out some scratches with very little effort.

What would have been an all day project took only a few hours. I used a 4 Ah fully charged battery and it still have juice left. amazing. It comes with the buffing / waxing cover as well as the synthetic wool cover for applying coatings like ceramic.

It is the perfect size / weight and leaves a beautiful swirl free shine. Wish you offered additional covers for purchase because these did a great job. My truck has never looked better and more importantly I was not fatigued at all after the job was done.

Finally got a chance to use this great accessory. I’m 69 and it’s a real chore now to keep my vehicles clean and shined. Never had a power buffer and I am thrilled with my Worx buffer. I now can buff my classic F150 to a fine patina shine in only a few minutes with no fatigue no wasted elbow grease.

I’ve owned my Bauer since 2019 and it’s 2021. It can definitely put out good results with some small cons. The Pros are: 1. Delivers great results 2. The price is good 3. Available to pick up from a local store 4.

Able to switch from 6 inch backing plate to 5 inch and 3 inch backing plate. 5. Minimum pad stalling The Cons are: 1. It gets really hot when polishing for a long time. The heat blew out one of my 5 inch pads and part of the pad melted to the center of the velcro of the backing plate.

Also, the heat destroyed one of my 3 inch pads as well. So, you must take breaks to avoid the polisher from getting too hot or get a backing plate with vent holes. See pic of destroyed pad. 2. One model of 1814E-B is built better than the other.

The one with the sub-model# 64529 is built better than the 64528. That number can be on the box under the serial number or on the polisher under the model number. See youtube video: Teardown: which Bauer DA polisher from Harbor Freight is better? See pic of the box with sub-model no.

3. Vibration can be a bit much if polishing for hours. Short term is not that bad to handle. Wrapping things up, I think this is a great polisher to start with and keep because you can switch to 3 different backing plates without having to buy another polisher.

If money is tight or you are just starting, there is no reason to buy a Rupes, Flex or Griots, when this polisher can get you the same the results. Sure, those other polishers above have less vibration, run cooler, and stalls less (well the Griots G9 stalls less), but you can move up after you feel there is a need and then keep the Bauer for your 3 inch polisher to get in those tight spots.

My advice for owning a Bauer is: 1. Get a 5 inch backing plate and 3 inch backing plate. 2. Change the grease. 3. Watch youtube videos for what polishes and pads to choose. Personally, I learned quite a bit from watch youtubes videos from Apex Detail and Dallas paint correction.

This is not my first DA polisher from HF. I have used the older version/brand that looked very similar to this one. I will say this is an improvement on the last version I owned. My only comments are that it is loud, and runs fairly hot when doing a lot of polishing.

It would get very uncomfortable to hold on to the head due to the heat. Running it with the handle would solve this issue but I find using the handle to be awkward and does not allow the control that having your hand directly on the head gives.

The backing plate is fine and functional but putting on a nicer backing plate (thicker w/ more flex) from other companies is certainly a thing to consider. This DA had no issues running a 6″ pad doing “heavy” correction.

I do think it runs much better with a 4 or 5 inch pad as it is easier to control/gets better bite. Overall, for the price I think you cannot go wrong for a first time user, hobbyist, or detailer who is just starting out.

This 85 dollar tool can and will make you money and give you great results at the sacrifice of noise and comfort vs. much more expensive polishers.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago, on sale, after watching several YouTube videos. I was amazed at the results on a 2015 Corolla. I used Maguire’s liquid compound 205 (mild formula) and ran the tool on 2.

5 so to become comfortable with it. The tool performed unbelievably well removing minor paint scuffs from door dings and water spots. Some comments question the durability of the Bauer DA polisher because it is made in China.

I questioned some HF tools initially myself. Having purchased a Chicago Electric corded impact wrench 7 years ago and a Chicago Electric belt sander 10 years ago I got that out of my system as both are going strong; I did change the brushes in the impact wrench.

Guess I should mention the 25 year old 6 inch bench grinder still kicking butt. Bottom line this tool is doing a great job, easy to use and produces great results. I have 3 daughter’s cars to tackle now that I have this!.

This is the best Ive had. Comes in a hard shell case and 3 different sizes of wheels. Perfect in every way. Just what I wanted to supplement my dual action polisher.

This is a great polishing tool & id recommend it to any one for use in polishing or sanding your car or bike Etc & it seems well made plus you can dial in your speed as you go & it’s not too heavy to use on long projects.

I was looking for something to do various tasks cars wood you name it , this one dose it thanks to the speeds they didn’t skip out on the build

I put the Microfiber Removal Bonnet ( polishing pad) on when I first received the AutoSpa test the power. After a minute or 2 it vibrated so bad the pad flew off. I thought maybe it wasn’t on correctly.

I put the form polish applicator on and applied Nu Finish Polish because it’s the easiest polish to remove. Not with this polisher. It started vibrating so bad after 5 minutes of trying to applying polish to a quarter of the back quarter of my truck.

So I stopped, took off the form pad that was now soaked with polish and replaced it with the Microfiber Removal Bonnet. Since it didn’t work on the side panel, I applied polish on the top of the truck by hand.

Tried to polish it with the AutoSpa. I let the machine do the work as instructed. I put no pressure on this polisher. After about a minute or so it vibrated and wobbled so bad and left swirls. I had to finish the job by hand.

I’m glad I use Nu Finish Polish instead of a hard wax like I started to use. This machine is junk and deserves no stars. Would not recommend to anyone, complete waste of money. Had to return it.

I’ve been through about 15 of these poor machines. The manual says “years of professional use”. I wonder if that coincides with commercial detailing use. We shall see! Used with the yellow foam pad and commercial banana wet wax.

The photo needs to be updated. This is the G6 orbital polisher. It comes with Griot’s 3 in 1 wax and 1 – 6” foam pad, but any 6” pad will fit. Use your own combo of pads and products for your custom needs.

Decided to go with this one over cheaper ones on the market. I am impressed with the quality of this product. So glad I spent the extra money. It is perfect for weekend warrior detailing on my 2017 Silverado.

I’ve never used an orbital polisher before but found it easy to jump right in with the G6. Really great results removing spiderwebs and holograms. Will be using this one for years to come.

This thing is total junk. Don’t waste your time or money. The power cable doesn’t stay tight so the unit shuts off randomly, the Velcro for pads doesn’t stick at all, so the pads fly off when using it causing damage to the paint as the Velcro slams down on the paint you’re trying to fix, it overheats, vibrates like mad, and is 100% not worth anywhere NEAR the $200 I paid for it.

It’s going back tomorrow and I’ll hit Harbor Freight for a far superior product at a much lower price!.

I bought this to revive the original faded and oxidized paint on my 1973 Charger. It is very easy to use, just takes time and patience to work through an old paint job that needed some love. I watched several videos on youtube about how to do this, as well as several that rated this product against others.

I also bought the 5″ conversion kit with 3 different pads for correction, polishing, and waxing. I used Griot’s products — first the correction compound, then polish and then show wax, with the appropriate pads and it is truly unbelievable how much of a difference it made.

I highly recommend this polisher and would buy it again if I had to do it all over again.

I have used the Griots garage synthetic clay bar and was very impressed. I have watched the use of their different DA polishers on their website. And, decided to try it. The one at Autozone was the less bells and whistle model but did not disappoint! Along with the polisher I purchased the black pad and the compound in the yellow bottle.

I did a 2 step on the whole car. The results we better than I hoped or expected. Far exceeded them in fact. Griots products are top notch and would not hesitate to buy anything they sell. the scratches that can be removed are incredible.

I tried wet sanding with 1500 grit a few spots that had some deeper flaws. Then did a 2 step and the paint now looks like it is wet it is so nice.
