Used Red Gard on my bathroom room and followed the instructions, and within a week it peeled off anywhere their was thin set. It peeled off in some spots up to a 4 inch piece. Luckily I didn’t tile yet.

Not using it ever again. Google “Red Gard fail” if you want to us it to figure out what not to do or extra ideas to make sure how to make sure it bonds. Waste of time and money.

We wouldnt do a tiling project without putting this membrane underneath. This product prevents cracking when the house settles or the subfloor shifts. Its an outstanding product which also doesnt add more weight to the floor system, which is why I prefer it over hardboard products.

I bought this to retile my kitchen on the second floor. It worked out great. So much easier than hauling cement board in. I would definitely use it again.

underlayment for tiles.Bought good tiles want good underlayment! This is the best! Just purchased another roll best to have enough! Wish it was cheaper! Guess you get what you pay for!

I bought this product to fill in some asphalt driveway cracks. It went on smooth and did fill the cracks. However, I really wont know if this product works until next spring to see if the cracks appear again.

Nothing else that I have tried has worked so far but for the cost, I am hoping this does work. It is very expensive but still cheaper than flex seal rubber.

It works as advertise. I recommend it if you have a flat roof. I use a paint brush and it came out pretty good. It states that the seal cures in 72 hours. A second coat can be applied in 2 hours. This can is only 16 ounces so it is small for the price.

This product is just fantastic. I had issues for more than 10 years with my roof. This has been the only product that works. THE BEST!!! I highly recommend it!!!

Was redecorating my bathroom and needed a beige/tan liner. Couldn’t believe how thick these liners are. After showering, all you need to do is rinse the liner and let it dry. No more soap scum, mold or mildew.

These liners are offered in a variety of colors and I will be order more.

First thing, there is an overwhelming terrible smell coming from this product! Also, there are not any magnets on the bottom, so hoping it will stay where it needs to be on it’s own. Not to mention the huge warning on this product, about the chemicals that it contains in it! I must have missed this when ordering, because I sure would have kept looking! Only thing good about this product is it is heavy duty thickness wise.

I had searched extensively before finding this liner. It is heavy duty, clear as glass and no suction cups or magnets. It’s hard to find one without the irritating suction cups and/or magnets. This liner seals well by just spraying the edge with water, and stays sealed.

I used this product AS DIRECTED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, and it came out exactly as I expected. I have used it before in my last house, and it worked well, so I used it again. I am finishing my basement.

In a couple spots, I had a very slight trickle of water coming in between the seams of my foundation where the wall meats the floor when it raining really hard. I painted on a very thick layer directly in the seam, then rolled it on thick with a 3″ roller on both the wall and the floor.

I did not use Ames tape as directed. As I did before, I used a fiberglass roofing mesh made by Henry’s. I stuck the mesh right in the seam, and painted another layer of Blue Max on it. After that was dry, I painted it on thick again.

I repeated that one more time, and then painted over the 3 later seam on both wall and floor with one layer applied with a 9″ roller. I then painted over the Blue Max on the walls with DRYLOCK. 2 days ago we had a torrential downpour and my basement is bone dry.

This is the second house in a row I have owned where this has worked perfectly to keep my basement dry. The 5 gallon is pricy, but it beats 1000’s in water damage finding out the hard way that you haven’t done enough to prevent your basement taking on water before you finish it.

The key is, don’t use the product as it is intended. To address other reviews I have read: 1 – It says right on the container not to apply it too thin, and how much is recommended to apply. 2 – It also says right on the container that if you have it in direct sunlight all the time, it can dry out and flake.

The same will happen with any rubber. I have used this stuff before, and I would use it again.

When Ames Blue Max is solely used as a one layer application placed in the sun, it will be beaten by the rays and flake with repeatable results within a short time frame (making this a worthless waste of time, effort, and money) [my older brother put it on exactly like this without my knowledge, thinking it was a quick fix for a leaky roof].

However, Ames Blue Max Liquid Rubber should be treated with respect as it is a “membrane” and needs a separate top coating to protect it from the sun’s damaging effect. I scrubbed the roof with proper soap, rinsed, let dry for a day, added 2 coats of prime, 2 coats of Blue Max, patched with Henry’s White Roofing Sealant in tandem with Yellow Fiberglass Fabric, and finished off with 2 coats of White Top Coat (or Snow White).

I trust the Ames brand. I am a repeat customer (finishing the roof by sections and gauging it’s performance when weathered). If you want it done right, you have to use the right materials, and you can’t cut corners.

I’m a computer geek and a perfectionist. I don’t know much about construction, but I do know that the product(s) work. It took me awhile, but I am totally satisfied with the work I did. If you are doing it yourself, I would suggest using Bloxygen to help save money (search YouTube and Google to buy it online), if you’re doing the project over time, and invest in a pack of cheap 100 disposable plastic gloves, because Blue Max is messy and sticky.

You can do it without gloves ~ orange goop hand cleaner from Costco works great for quick clean up without water. I also used 17ft long Quick Dam’s to clean sections of the roof without disturbing drying times in areas patched.

Blue Max itself takes only a few hours to dry depending on weather and thickness applied. If you have money to burn, you can use a roller to apply. I didn’t have that luxury so I used a paint brush to apply.

It says on the Ames website that it can be applied with either a paint brush or a roller. And that if using a paint brush, the product can be stretched out to cover more area, then if rolled on. You can get a 3 pack of cheap paint brushes at the dollar store :).

Spreads well, medium fast drying potential. We applied in a super humid basement(70%) situation, dry in around 5 hrs. Coverage a bit better on porous concrete than on cinder blocks with rough jointing.

Even at that, one coat should be all that’s needed! This formula contains none of the super toxic fumes of the “old” stuff. Safe around pets and kids too.

Fantastic for DIYers. If you don’t poor shower floors all the time, this device makes it really easy and goof proof. My first shower floor turned out perfect and works like a dream, plus I saved thousands of dollars doing it all my self.

They only support five sides of the slope, does not come with weep hole protectors, took too long to get to me, I pretty much had to stay on hold the entire time.

Did two small (7X8 and 10X8) bathroom with this and while I originally wanted to a roll of this – not a bunch of 3’X2′ sheets – I’m glad it was the latter. First time I ever installed a floor heating system so thin setting anything more than 3’x2′ would have been a challenge (especially the dry-fitting portion).

maybe with more experience. Sheets laid well and adhered to the thin set lie Gorilla Glue ;-).

Using Ditra or Ditra Heat, buy the rolls and avoid the kits using the mat system. The rolls come in varying lengths and provide the least number of seams. Avoid the mats at all cost. They are difficult to keep the seams clean when putting the material down and remember each seam is a potential crack it your tile and a potential kink in the electrical cables.

Also buy the seam tape as it is not included. Great system overall. I love using the Schluter Ditra Products.

Great! I needed this membrane quickly because my project was starting soon and I couldn’t find a place that could ship it as quickly. They shipped and I received it faster than any other company. Nothing but good things to say.

This stuff is expensive for what you get. Received with holes in the factory wrapper some look like utility knife cuts. I cant tell if the cuts extend into the material!

I use Kerdi for all my shower and deck waterproofing because its lightweight and easy to apply and it’s also good value. Highly recommend!

Schluter Keri products are the very best products for bathroom and flooring products.

Ive done the cable in Chanels with thinset cover. Ive done rage cable mats covered in thinset and topped with floor leveler. Even mats have unruly cable curves that want to float up too high. Ditra mat is quick and will give you a dead flat sub for your tile.

Use notched trowel to make sure of adhesion to substrate. And don’t make the mistake I made and get quick setting thin set mortar!

The Schluter Ditra heat products are all very good. This is the one with the thermal backing for use on basement floors. This is fabulous! It keeps the heat from penetrating into the floor, and is also waterproof.

I would highly recommend it.

I read most of the reviews and decided that it would be a throw away when dirty type of liner, as one reviewer posted. I found that this is a lightweight, clear, liner that does the job quite well. We have been using it every day for 2 weeks.

PEVA definitely does not have an odor and is safe by their statement. It drains the water well off the liner and is not there for hours. Those that have an odor, I understand, are hazardous to your health.

I am happy with this liner. I chose clear, as my curtain is multi coloured. I couldn’t find anything wrong with the gromments. I bought the double hooks, as I only wanted to use one shower pole. I really like the double hooks and I’m glad somebody finally thought of them.

My choice, Better Homes and Gardens Rollerball Shower Curtain Hooks Product Variants Selector Chrome Bronze. I bought the Chrome but as you can see they have other colours. There are other choices with other styles.

I only buy from walmart. com retailer. If I want to return them it’s easy. I don’t want to try and return to another retailer.

I am replacing an old shower curtain that always would fly away from the side of the tub and stick onto my leg. Icky! (yes, I am a germaphobe) Frustrating for sure. This one is the perfect weight as some curtains are so heavy they are stiff and will not blend with the outer display curtain making this one perfect.

I also wash everything before I use it and it held up well. (washed on delicate).

The product’s description claims that there is a “weighted hem. ” There is a hem all right, but it isn’t weighted. A weighted hem would have small metal weights sewn into pockets along the bottom hem.

This shower curtain lacks any such weights. Sorry, but a hem alone doesn’t qualify as being “weighted. ” The description also claims that the holes for the shower curtain rings are “reinforced. ” In fact, they are not particularly reinforced.

Truly reinforced holes have metal or at least plastic rings around them. These holes have a little (and I mean a little) extra thread around them, that’s all. They probably won’t last. Overall, a cheaply made shower curtain that is overpriced.

Disappointed. Although loved the clear through of product and the length, it looked great in the picture but quality was not lasting and holes were just plastic. Holes in picture/profile reflect sturdy metal rings but being just plastic, they quickly ripped from normal movement of wear/tear.

Not worth it and I had to find new ones.

I wish it was a bit heavier and had finished edges and hem weights but, it wasn’t easy to find a vinyl shower curtain in this extra long length. So having said all that, I’m happy with my purchase.

I love this shower curtain and like other reviews got a bit of pink color on the shower curtain. This is an easy fix. 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1 tablespoon of washing soda (I used Borax), 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of laundry detergent.

Mix well and dump in a bucketful of HOT water. Leave soak for 45 minutes. Scrub lightly, pink color is gone. Toss in wash using washing instructions. Do not use bleach. You will save your curtain, remove any stains including mildew and thank me that I posted this.

First, this is the lightest weight shower curtain OR liner I have ever seen in my life. The “weighted bottom hem” is just 1 small object about the size of a dime in each bottom corner. That’s right; 2 small objects TOTAL, that don’t weigh very much at all.

Second, the “fabric” seems more like crepe paper than fabric. The waterproof coating would probably keep it from tearing like crepe paper but it is VERY lightweight material. These 2 issues cause the liner to flow out into the shower (whether the bathroom fan is on or not) so it either sticks to me as I’m trying to get clean, or makes my shower half the size it is! I read reviews before I bought this and I can only guess that previous reviews were from long ago when maybe the company used different materials, or the previous reviewers simply placed their review on the wrong product.

When will companies stop making inferior products? I would gladly pay more money for better quality. Unfortunately it seems no one is interested in making a decent shower liner these days.

Not happy with this product at all. This shower curtain liner has unfortunately proved to be of poor quality. On fitting I found that the holes through which curtain rings are attached are just created by a hole punch and are not of the construction one would expect of a decent shower curtain or as found on most other shower curtains.

Also, within two weeks of use, there were several tears in the curtain where it had been pulled back and forth in normal use. If you have long nails this material is of insufficient quality to resist tearing.

I am very disappointed as I’ve previously purchased better at lower prices. This is the worst one I’ve ever bought and I would not recommend it.

I am glad Lowe”s offered this product by the foot. I am building a large shower and all the other stores only carry a small standard size liner. This product came rolled up so there were no fold lines to deal with.

The liner went in great and did a great job where I needed it.

Pan liner used for custom showers. Great stuff. Lowes carries pretty much everything you need for custom showers EXCEPT the oatey corners! Get some in stock so I stop having to go to your competitor.

The description of this object is too vague. It really is only 1 foot wide and therefore has very limited use as a shower pan liner.
