20 Best Waterproofing For Basement Walls (2023 Updated)

I have used Tung Oil purchased from Real Milk Paint Co. since fall 2008. I use it on Greenland kayak paddles made from Western Red Cedar, Eastern White Cedar, Spruce, and Pine. From the raw wood, it takes 5 coats to get a glossy, hard, waterproof coating.

The technique is to wipe with a paper towel after coating, then leave in the bright sun. for at least 15 minutes each side. Reciting is needed after three or more months of paddling (approximately 300 miles of [paddling, at the least).

Paddling is in both fresh and salt water. I note a change in the product over the years. Initially, one 2008, I could leave a thicker coat on the paddle when putting it in the sun to cure. It would still harden and not be sticky.

But over the years, it got to where I had to wipe off the excess oil or it would stay tacky. Also, back in 2008, I could go to 7 or more coats, just to make it look nicer. doing that now causes tackiness.

This is with light sanding between coats with 320 paper. I expect this has to do with the environmental factors where the trees grow, as the produce is pure. This is not a problem, just a curiosity. Some Greenland kayakers recommend other types of oil.

I have not tried anything else, since all of the other types a mixtures containing some toxic products, are more complicated to apply, and are not as easily removed when it is time to refinish.

Has anyone seen my coffee? I left it around here somewhere. Hold on a minute. Okay, i’m back, found it. May have to make some more. Anyways, if you are looking for a non-toxic finish that can compete with the million petrofinishes out there, Tung Oil is the way to go.

The drying time can be an issue. rather than reach for the ‘Japan Drier’ (merely a bunch of dissolved metals) consider the natural driers. Believe it or not, the makum-itchy ingredient in Poison Ivy is the best additive for this purpose (didn’t you always suspect there was something it was good for?) But since you probably won’t be exploring that option, try mixing 1:3 with boiled Linseed Oil.

Best of both worlds. And ignore all those Wikipedia Youtube experts who say to water it down with solvents. The 50/50 recommended ‘first coat’ will do nothing but waste time and money. Tung Oil is perfectly capable of soaking into the densest wood all by itself.

And if you do thin it, DO NOT use mineral spirits or any other non-tree solvent. I only use pure turpentine and trust me, i’ve tried everything else including coffee (okay, that was an accident). I ruined several projects before i discovered that Tung Oil and Petrochemicals mix like fiscal responsibility and politicians.

We are waiting to add three more coats and a 30 day cure time, so the tone in the photos will darken and get more consistent, if I can judge by a window-seat we did earlier. I am thrilled to have found the citrus solvent and tung oil finish for our 125 year old white oak (with lots of curly wood grain boards) at Milk Paint.

This company was recommended to me by a group of old house restorers on Facebook. Milk Paint is a class act in every way – great website, fast ship time, easy packaging and responsive and friendly customer service.

The product they offer here (tung oil) was used thousands of years ago but is a real breakthrough now for those of us who have had to live with toxic products and meh results for years. Our old floors are pretty now and will be gorgeous when finished.

Application could not be easier. We used brushes for doors and then two Dollar Store sponge mops and two buckets and brushes (and then skating around on the floor with old socks on -haha).

For background, I’ve been extremely disappointed with commercially available crack fillers for my asphalt driveway. They temporarily fill the cracks and then due to the differences in coefficient of expansion and a lack of elasticity they also crack.

Using this product (black silicone) to seal out moisture and prevent plants from growing in the asphalt is the right solution. It expands and contracts with the driveway and brilliantly provides its primary purpose of sealing out moisture and plants which degrade and damage the asphalt.

It will prevent asphault sealers from adhering to your driveway affecting asthetics of the drive but that’s an acceptable trade off for me in what it does. Thumbs up!.

We needed this for our garage as our former tenants broke their lease, rolled cheap cigarettes and smoked heavily inside the garage causing a strong odor and we agreed to use this just to see if we could reduce the unpleasant odor.

It works, perfect with multiple layers. The odor has been eliminated by 80-85%. We paint almost every surface to reduce strong odors and block stains. Good thing it dries to a brilliant white and is a sealer in one.

I am very impressed with this painting. I also used it for another room that had several pet urine stains and the entire house reeked of wet dog. After one coat of this paint, the pet smell was barely noticeable.

I think one coat would be fine, but I’ll apply two just in case. I highly recommend this product. It works great and exceeds all of my expectations, giving my home an incredible restoration so I can breathe a clean environment free of unpleasant odors….

We have recently been remodeling our home, pulling out the old 1979s blue carpet and replacing it with vinyl plank. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat that we rescued from the side of the road. These animals have had accidents on the floor and I was worried about them doing it on the new floors.

After we pulled the carpet up, we used this Kilz restoration to paint the majority of the subfloor to hopefully prevent the animals from smelling previous spots and the smell. It has been 3 months since using this product on our subfloor with ZERO accidents from the animals.

This product was easy to roll or paint on, had amazing coverage, and we will be using it for the downstairs remodeling now also. It only took one coat in many areas with a thick coverage that didn’t make me want to put a 2nd coat.

I am highly impressed with the outcome after using this product and we will be using it more often and especially during our remodel.

I have just completed applying Foundation Armor AR350 Wet Look Concrete Sealer and it looks great. My driveway needed a reseal since it was originally done 2 years ago. I had noticed that the look had become dull and rain didn’t run off as it had.

I found Foundation Armor online and decided to try their product. With free shipping here on Walmart it was a easy decision. I bought the 5 gallon and it arrived in a few days. Application seemed easy.

I used a hand pump sprayer to give a quick coat of an area and then I also used a roller on an extension handle to smooth it all and make sure the product was applied to all areas. Of course I had cleaned the driveway with a water hose down a day before making sure the concrete clean and dry and also did a hand sweep before application.

Now my stamped concrete driveway looks new again and rain quickly runs off. I’ll be using Foundation Armor again. A neighbor has already asked about it so it looks like a good product will be sold again.

Extremely pleased with AR350. Used this for my pool patio travertine tiles and fire pit floor with pavers, and I am extremely pleased with the finish. Two years ago I had someone seal the same areas with another, cheaper product, and it turned out OK.

This year, after doing some research I came across the AR350 and after reading the reviews, decided to give it a try. It was a more expensive, but the finish between the two products is significant. AR350 really brought back the tiles’ original finish and gives it that wet look.

The extra cost is well worth the outcome. Unfortunately I didn’t take a “before” photo to be able to show a before and after comparison, but if I did, my photos would look similar to those on Foundation Armor’s website.

This time I did it myself. It’s easy to apply, and I simply followed the directions. I used a paint brush for some of the edges and a roller for the rest. It was just like painting a wall. I was cautious around the actual pool edges and I could see some splatter getting into the pool, but I trust the filter will take care of that.

I highly recommend AR350 for the superior finish. You can get a cheaper sealer, but I can say from experience, the AR350 is a superior product. And shipping is super fast.

I researched the HELL out of this product. I have an old exposed aggregate concrete pool deck – it was tired looking and rough to walk on. I ground the whole thing down with THREE 7″ carbide wheels. Brutal work.

The deck was prepared and I decided on Armor AR350 for it’s solvent-based makeup and MEDIUM gloss sheen. The pool is salt, and IO live in Tucson so whatever I bought it had to be the best. My research led me to AR350.

I bought 5 gallons as I have a 500 sq ft job and it requires two coats of sealer. It was a hot spell in Tucson and I had to wait well past sundown to get the surfaced temp os the deck below 85 degrees.

(I found a cheap IR thermometer for $11 at Harbor freight). I cut it in first, then rolled it with a roller. (Didn’t use a sprayer). Smelled pretty strong – I wore a volatile organic mask and couldn’t smell it.

Easy to apply – just roll it on and work any puddles out with the roller. Easy Peasy. Cleanup with Xylene. Waited 24 hours to the next sunset and on went 2nd coat. A little tougher this time because It was hard to see old versus new product (remember I’m working at night with a headlight – But I was just thorough.

Looks great – Medium sheen – Not slippery (yours may be – remember that I had ROUGH exposed aggregate). Water beads up and stays beaded. Many complements. I recommended highly. I had no contact with the MFG cause I followed the directions.

NOTE: A lot of negative reviews on a lot of products turning milky. That is moisture, I’m sure of it. There is no moisture in Tucson, I assure you. 10-18% humidity. Go ahead and jump, friend – If you’re looking for a long-lasting solvent based medium sheen concrete sealer – this is the stuff!.

Our school has tried many brands of resin. We created a project with EnviroTex a few weeks ago. The results were exactly according to the directions. We encourage reading all directions first. So often I take for granted that one resin is the same as the next and they are not created equal.

When EnviroTex discusses the use of “deep molds” pay particular attention to this area of the directions because most of the students did experience longer drying times for thicker project.

I love this product and have purchased it many times. I use it as a high gloss shield/protectant for collage pieces I create. I have also poured the product into molds to create 3 dimensional pieces.

Since air bubbles can occur, I use a lighter with an extended tip to smooth out the product. Once crafts have dried, the finish creates a hard shell which makes my collages far less likely to break or peel.

It is a wonderful product.

Disappointed in this epoxy. I purchased this to redo my bathroom countertop. Ive have worked with epoxy before and all turned out great. This one was very thick and after 3 days was still sticky in patches and not cured.

The smell is stronger than other kind of epoxy. I ended up purchasing another brand and redo all the hard work. Ugh. It may be ok for small tiny crafts.

After much research and reading many reviews, I used the Lithi-Tek 4500 to prime and strengthen my basement floor before sealing with Siloxa-Tek 8500. For years I had been forced to run a dehumidifier in each area of my basement to keep the musty smell at bay.

I had tried epoxy coatings and even after carefully following the application instructions I had some areas where the coating lifted. After our house fire we rebuilt on the existing basement. I had the walls and floor thoroughly sand blasted to remove the smoke & all previous coatings.

I took Lou’s product advice and application instructions to heart. I applied using a 1/2 nap roller. I worked in 10′ X 10′ sections and was sure to apply the second coat before allowing the first to dry completely.

I allowed an extra 5 days cure time for the 4500 before applying the 8500. I do not have to run a single dehumidifier! Three and half years after sealing the concrete we had a plumbing leak. One corner of the basement carpet was soaked for three days, We pulled the carpet up and removed the saturated pad.

After removing the standing water with a shop vac the concrete floor was completely dry in less than 10 minutes. What a great product!! I highly recommend Ghost Shield. Kudos to Lou for his technical expertise and advice!.

LITHI-TEK 4500 was applied to limit a “dusting” issue I was experiencing with a new slab. So far (after 1 week), I have noticed a significant reduction in cement residue. The product was very easy to apply with low viscosity and virtually no odor.

The only challenge was that the product was absorbed by the slab so rapidly that it could be difficult to see where it was already applied. Cleanup was simple using warm water and detergent. I will know more after I apply the SILOXA-TEK® 8510 sealant over the LITHI-TEK.

After much research, decided to apply 4500 on my brand new long driveway and then over coat with the solvent based seal coat. Very easy to apply and worked like a charm. Not much odor. Now my driveway stays clean and strong.

I was shocked by the attention my driveway is getting. All i have to do is stand at the head of the driveway and invariably some passer by will provide some accolade or inquire how to make it as nice it looks.

It costs a little more but long term, the saving in maintenance costs will pay multiple folds. Just the fact that no cracks or fissures, no staining and algae is worth it! I also like tech support which was timely, helpful and knowledgeable!.

I purchased this in 5g container to 1) cover nicotine and tar on a heavily smoked in home. On beginning project realized wallpaper had to come down due to damage, unfortunately, 40 year old wallpaper does not remove from bare drywall easily and paper was covering a lot of damage, so also used it to prime the drywall, then skim coats of mud/joint compound (mud would not have reacted well with any wall paper glue that was remaining on the walls).

Drop ceilings are receiving a coat of primer to cover the damage/stains for at least short term while we decide what to do about the ceilings. This works well on plaster walls, drywall, wallpaper, paneling (I put joint compound over paneling first to hide the “grooves” and make a smooth surface), metal drop ceiling tracks and the foam/fiberboard drop ceilings.

Cons: Pouring oil based primer from a small spout on a 5 gallon container was very cumbersome – would probably pay more and get gallons next time, cleanup (oil based so definitely not simple – but did not expect it to be) and the smell!.

Had a tenant renting my 50 year old, 5 bedroom house and they had 3 large dogs plus 2 cats that they apparently kept indoors and it appeared that they never let their pets out to relieve themselves. nor did they ever clean up the mess the pets made.

I tried everything from vinegar, baking soda, industrial cleaners and more but nothing worked to get rid of the awful pet odors. I almost gave up until I came across articles on the internet regarding the success people were having using Kilz original oil based primer to basically encapsulate the problem.

People, IT WORKS! I used a 3/8″ nap paint roller and basically paired the wood sub floor. It went on smooth & fast and dry time was less than 45 minutes. I only applied one generous coat and when I came back the next day, the place had the new house smell.

and still does 2 weeks later. What a fantastic and amazing product! I don’t know who to thank but am grateful I read some of the comments & reviews online otherwise I never would’ve known. Of course obvious thanks to Kilz for such an amazing product as well!.

We bought our first house which is a 1976 fixer upper and the interior had crazy colors in each room but worse than that was the mixed smell of pet urine and smoke. We cleaned what we could but it only helped so much.

We used kilz original and bc it was one of the few primers that said it helped with odor as well as color block. The product is oil based whi h makes it a bit more difficult to use and a bit strong of a smell but wow! It sealed everything and now it smells like a new house and looks like one too! We painted one room without kilz and we regretted it when we could start to smell the smoke through it.

Another time I went to buy this product the store was out of stock and I got a different brand and it was so much worse in quality and leveling. I returned it and drove to a further store to buy kilz.

I did a lot a research on concrete sealers before buying the Ghostshield Siloxa-Tec 8500. Even though this stuff is quiet expensive, I decided to give it a try. I bought 2 of the 1 gallon concentrates.

Using the online coverage estimator, I thought I might need a little more than the 2 gallons, but I decided to start with that much to see how far it would go. I prepped my concrete by using a leaf blower first, then a pressure washer the day before.

The morning of the application I used the leaf blower again to clean it again. Then I started by using an empty one gallon distilled water jug. I filled it with 3 cup of Siloxa-Tec 8500, then added 12 cups of distilled water.

This gave me about 3/4 of a gallon of solution. I dumped it into a gallon pump sprayer to apply. My concrete sections are about 12′ X 12′. At first I sprayed to solution on one section and waited to 5 to 10 minutes as instructed, but the solution started to dry pretty quick, and the instructions said to apply wet on wet.

Also, I think I applied it a little bit heavy to start out, because I did have some areas that puddled a bit. I used a car wash brush that has an extendable pole to spread the puddled solution and it worked well.

After experimenting a little, I found that it worked best to apply the first coat on the 12’X12′ section then immediately apply the second coat. I also found it worked best to pour the gallon of mixed solution into the sprayer, then mix another gallon and have it ready to go, so you don’t run out of solution part way through the application process.

I have about 3000 square feet of concrete. I did the application over 3 mornings in early June. Each day it took less than 2 hours including prep and cleanup to apply the Siloxa-Tec 8500. Almost immediately after application any water that got on the concrete would bead up and roll off the concrete.

The 2 gallons of concentrate treated all the concrete I was planning on treating and I have enough left over to treat my 30’X30′ basketball court and large front porch. So far I am very pleased with the Ghostshield Siloxa-tec 8500.

Hopefully it last a long time.

I highly recommend this product, as it is adding years of life to my old my concrete slabs. I used a powerwasher [1] with detergent [2] to clean the driveway, side driveway, and side walk. Then on I used a Lithium silicate densifier and waterproofer [3] with a spray pump [4] to apply a penetrating concrete sealant.

The sealant needed to be diluted with distilled water [5]. [1] Ryobi RY142300 pressure washer [2] Zep 128 oz Driveway and Concrete Pressure Wash Concentrate Cleaner [3] Ghostshield Lithi-Tek 9500 Ultra Concentrate – 1 Gallon (Makes 5 GALLONS) Penetrating Concrete Sealer, Waterproofer Plus Densifier.

(Used 2 containers from Amazon) [4] Dewalt 2 Gal. Sprayer [5] grocery store distilled water, 8x 1 gallon. Application took about 2 hours. I applied 2 coats on the main driveway and most of the sidewalk.

The Ghostshield was quickly absorbed into my 30 year old concrete, and it repelled water within 15 minutes. I found the whole process to be very easy, though not very exciting because it just disappears.

When applying it, I used the sprayer for the primary application, and then I used the paint roller to even out any spots that pooled up.

I purchased 2 gallons of this product for my new home in which 2 areas were of concern to me: garage floor and crawlspace floor. I was concerned about moisture wicking up through the concrete and radon seeping in.

The Lithi-Tek 9500 is labeled to minimize both. In addition, the “densifying” ability intrigued me. I wanted a garage floor that repels moisture, stains, etc from various activities and have the protection applied when the concrete surface was new.

Same for the crawlspace floor. Once these 2 areas of concrete were poured, I waited about 4+ weeks (refer to the instructions re: “green concrete”) and had everything ready: 2 sprayers, bottles of distilled water and a floor brush to spread it.

Although it was newly poured concrete, I swept it clean and sprayed the first coat. It’s a learning experience as the first coat was sucked in like a sponge so when it was time for the second coat, the floor was damp dry with no puddles.

I went a bit faster on the second area and was able to spray 2 good coats on before the prior coat dried. Lesson 1: be ready to spray the second coat on before the first coat disappears in the slab. Lesson 2: in areas with minimal air exchanges (e.

g. crawlspaces) I would recommend a dehumidifier after allowing the material to set for a few days. The absorbed solution evaporated over a period of weeks so the cardboard boxes I placed on the surface became damp on the bottom.

This was my naivete as there is no longer any moisture coming up through either slab on which Lithi-Tek 9500 was applied. I have a continuous radon detector on order: Airthings View Plus and will update when I have some long term data.

I am hoping that this will mitigate some of the Radon seeping up through the slabs.

This GE Supreme M90026-30 Window and Door Silicone Caulk, was applied over an alklyd oil base priming paint that was applied to bare wood window frames at dry for 48 hours. The paint sticks well to the sealant.

The excess was wiped off with mineral spirits (paint thinner) and the GE sealant let dry for 48 hours. It was subsequently top coated with an oil base enamel paint. The paint adhered very well to this GE sealant and I am hoping it will remain that way even if the paint does not remain as flexible as the caulking.

I did not want to use acrylic caulking because no matter what the manufacturers claim ‘acrylic caulk’ shrinks over time a cracks within one year.

I had a few areas to repair and fill. Everything from small 2-3 mm gaps to larger crevaces and dents. Everything worked out as expected. Good coverage and easy to smooth. I found that once opened you may need to work a tiny drop of water through the mix and then to massage through the pack before using as it did start to dry after about a week after openeing even though the pack was fully sealed – however , after making that adjustment the results were still excellent.

Good value for money at under 8 Euro and it is my go-to filler.

Stored and applied at 20c. Product has the consistency of liquid rubber. It is hard to apply a smooth bead and leaves voids which must be quickly tooled. The thickness does not allow it to flow into imperfections and seal cracks.

I have used dozens of other clear silicons and this is the worst. I thought I would finish using the tubes I bought, but will be returning the rest as I refuse to fight with this any longer. Of all the panes with glass and plexiglass I have worked on, I can almost guarantee the window sealed with this will fail first.

Quad Max Clear, 10 oz worked wonders on my old windows my home is very old, my windows are about 50 to 80 years olds and the sealant was very cracked and even by a touch it would fall off, I thought about replacing but at this time it would be very costly so I deciding to repair these older windows and repaint.

I used this quad max around the crevices and and to hold window pane in place it worked great! It was not as messy as other products I have used and window look and feel so mich better less air breezing through window when it is cold outside and when it rains it protects from water seeping in.

It dried by the next day and was very easy to paint over now I have to purchase more to finish about 16 more windows it will be lengthy process but it looks mich better and is worth it. I was able to use 1 tube on one window and a half.

I would recommend this product to others smooths out easily, less messy dry and is easy to paint over, also protects great against rain and cold weather.

As I checked the caulking around my windows, I noticed some needed to be redone. After looking at the options, I went with this. Good choice. The caulking goes on easily and smoothly. The clearness remains even after drying.

I have had some that turned murky as soon as they dried. Later that evening, we got hit with a major rain storm that came in early. I feared some water would leak through. After the storm, I checked and could not see any indications of water seepage.

This stuff is great. Highly recommend this for windows and other projects.

I have been searching for a do-it-yourself repair solution for our large hard plastic pond liner with a long crack, as you can see in the photos, one that was environmentally friendly so that I could continue to use it as a garden pond.

Flex Tape is the perfect choice. After washing the liner and letting it dry completely, I cut a long strip of the 4 inch wide Flex Tape, rounded the corners of the strip with kitchen shears, and carefully peeled off the protective backing.

I was surprised at how thick yet flexible the Flex Tape is. I was able to carefully place one long edge on the outside of the liner and then slowly work the tape into and onto the plastic molded-bubble bottom outside the crack and then slowly ease and smooth it across the crack and up the side of the liner.

A second strip was laid down on top of the first strip, starting a little further in toward the side, and it too was easy to place precisely where I wanted it. I placed a spare paving stone on top of the crack inside the liner to weigh it down, bringing the two sides of the crack in contact with each other and with the Flex Tape.

When using this Flex Tape, be sure you start it carefully right where you want it, making sure there are no wrinkles or bubbles as you continue to lay it down and smooth it in place as it seals tightly as soon as it is down, and you cannot lift it again to reposition it.

The next day I cut another strip of the Flex Tape, rounded the corners, and sealed the crack again from the inside of the liner. The final step was to add water and let the liner sit overnight on the back deck.

There was no leakage at all. From personal experience, I highly recommend Flex Tape as a truly versatile product whenever you need a watertight seal.

I was eager to receive this product because I have various areas outside/inside the home I want to seal. I’ve never used a product l like this so I decided to use it as a test. The spray can application at first seemed like a better idea, but after seeing it in action, I was disappointed.

The spray zone was wider than I anticipated which lead to an overspray onto areas I didn’t want covered. The consistency was about what I imagined because it’s basically liquid rubber that ends up a chunky spray that kind of smooths after drying.

The color was exactly as described and the product does seal and prevent water from penetrating after fully drying. I believe it took longer to dry because it’s winter weather right now. I feel applying this product during a better season would have better results overall.

The worst thing about this product is the odor. I read the instructions and paid attention to where I was spraying making sure to have good ventilation, but even though I used it outdoors, I could still smell it coming into the home.

It’s has a very strong odor and doesn’t fade as quick as I would have l liked. It almost reminded me of the smell of gasoline. The clean up was more difficult than I had hoped. I tried scrubbing it off areas of my hands that got covered from scrubbing the areas of the house that the overspray came into contact with.

I had to use a heavy duty hand scrub just to remove to small spots on my hand and still have find something to remove it from the areas of my home I didn’t want sprayed. Overall it’s a good product that does what it is supposed to do, but there are certainly drawbacks and a bit of a learning curve.

Better weather and more personal trial and error could have made this experience excellent.

I got an opportunity to try the FLEXTAPE Clear, Large 4” X 5’ and have to say that it is an ok product. The Flex Tape is described as being a super strong, rubberized, waterproof tape that can patch, bond seal and repairs virtually everything.

It is specially formulated with a thick flexible, rubberized backing that conforms to any shape or object. This is great but it makes it kind of hard to take off roll and cut it is very sticky. I used it in my bathroom and had a very hard time cutting and getting it off because if you are not careful it will stick to itself.

Other than that this is a great tape versus other tapes and it comes in a variety of colors such as clear which is what I got and it also comes in white and black. I do wish that it was a little more on the roll but it did get the job completed that I needed it for.

This tape would surely be good for window time if you wanted to put around your window or doors if you have any kind of air coming in which this would help keep heat in and air out. This tape says it can be applied hot, cold, wet or dry even underwater but not too sure about that.

It is suppose to instantly seal out water, air and moisture to create a super strong flexible, watertight barrier. FLEX Tape is UV resistant, environmentally friendly, VOC- free and has a wide range of temperatures so it can be used in extreme weather conditions.

I must say it does bond like glue and if it happens to gain strength overtime it would be perfect. The only con like I stated is that it is not enough on roll. I suggest using a very sharp pair of scissors or box cutter to cut product but this makes sense because it is very strong.

I recommend giving this tape a try and see if you like it and it has a variety of uses but it is very very sticky. Absolutely I say gives this tape a try.

I love original oil-based Kilz. I feel like the strong smell drives off evil spirits as well as grease stains. When I purchased my 1970s style fixer upper 2 years ago, I coated every brown wood panled wall.

I used 30 gallons of Oil based Kilz primer, and I have never painted over that primer. Because I love oil based kilz so much. But your kilz 3 primer has the same coverage I expect from oil based kilz, and Since I no longer need to chase the bad juju stink of previous owners from my walls, the low odor of this formula has made me fall in love with your new, water-based hotness.

Thank you for always hiding bloodstains, dog stink and grease spots, Kilz! I love your products. Maybe one day I’ll advance to an actual paint color instead of just white primer on my walls. You betcha it will be Kilz when I do!.

I bought this less than two weeks ago to do Up this Old Fashioned Farm House Basement and Steps; it was Musty and Smelled of Very Old Farm Workings. So I put three coats of Primer on the Walls and two coats of the Oil Based on the Floors and Steps on Old but Saturday Stairs; what a treat for my Parents, whom live with me.

The House is only 1000sqft but the Charm and Cleanliness this Primer and Paint has brought is Breathtaking; I did white on the Walls and a light navy blue on the Floors in the room where my Father has his tinkerings and a pale butter yellow on the main walls of the basement; which makes my mother smile, with an old fashioned different color diamond pattern on the Floors with white trim; also the cold Pantry is ALL white from Floor to Ceiling as well as the shelves; now my canned goods are on Display!!! All of this done using Kilz Primer and Kilz Paint and Kilz Oil Paint.

I used this to repair the rubber roof on my trailer. The factory roof had started to peel and tear on the edges. I cleaned the roof, applied to the roof edge and then sealed all the seems and edges. This has an easy peel and stick side and a white finished side.

The adhesive is very sticky so you have one chance to apply. Its waterproof, has a finished side and looks great once on. I sealed the whole roof with Hengs liquid rubber which sealed everything. I now have a reinforced edge with a new, sealed roof.

I would definitely recommend for this type of repair or patch work. The outcome looks awesome and will last for years to come. I have already recommended to several other people. Glad I came across it during my google search.

Folks, this is tough stuff and it is tenacious! I used it on my vintage travel trailer roof where I had pin holes before I coated the roof with a polymer coating. I cleaned the surface as recommended and very carefully put it in place.

You need to do it the first time, you won’t pull it up to move it with out tearing it up. So have your ducks in a row before applying it. I also used it all along both sides of the edge of the 20 foot roof to once again cover pin holes.

After I applied the tape I coated the roof and the coating adhered to the tape just fine. After I got the roof coated I noticed I missed a hole about the size of a BB. After the coating had dried I cut out a one inch square piece of tape and placed it over the hole.

It was like putting a tire patch on a inner tube. I rolled it out and it looked like a vulcanized tire patch. I should be waterproof now for years to come.

Havent had the stuff installed long enough to properly do a review but the installation was a breeze. The eternabond is very sticky stuff and seems to have adhered very well to my rv roof. Most important part of the installation is being clean and make sure the roof is dry! I have some concern of the durability of the eternabond but only time will tell.

The eternaclean was not very desirable though. Its more of a spray and keep spraying until the area is clean. The stuff dries so fast that by the time you get the area sprayed and grab your rag its already dry and to late.

I wont buy the cleaner again The shipping from rv upgrades was super fast though! Will definitely be buying whatever parts I can from them!.
