20 Best Waterproof Watch For Men (2023 Updated)

I have bought three of these infantry watches over the past couple of years. That isn’t because they break either! On the contrary they are very reliable and very tough. They are extremely stylish and look like they should cost far more than the current 20 mark.

I have one for work which has proven to be very tough and can put up with the rigours of building site and roofing work. The other two I wear for ‘posh’ and have them mounted on different colour watch bands to go with whatever I’m wearing.

The black watch, on a black leather bund strap looks like it should cost a weeks wages. I have never looked back since buying my first Infantry watch and I highly recommend them. I’ve attached a photo of my watches, the one on the left is my work watch, thus the scratched and shabby strap.

I’d point out that the strap that comes with the watch seems tough and well made it is just that I prefer leather straps.

OK so it’s not a Rolex but it did only cost me 5. A few points. It might not blow away in the wind but it is a bit on the light side. Not a bad thing if you’re in a manual job or just don’t like something heavy on you’re wrist.

They claim it’s “water resistant” but I doubt you could shower with it on, I haven’t tried out of fear. The Lume is present and if held up light for a few seconds it does appear bright in a darkened room but it doesn’t last that long, definitely not all night.

The strap is excellent at this price. It’s very comfortable, wicks away sweat much better than a leather strap and dries quickly when wet. I’ve even thought about buying another just for the strap and transplanting it onto another of my watches, it’s that good.

Good clear dial with good contrast against the white hands, though the seconds hand is a bit harder to see. On the positive side the seconds hand does line up perfectly with the graduations on dial, unlike some of the other quartz watches I have.

I set it using a radio controlled clock and in the week and a half it’s lost about 2 seconds. I could pick holes in it but it’s a 5 watch. Really, really good value.

This watch is inexpensive, but the reasons I picked it up were its 41mm size (comfortably large without looking like a shield) and the straightforward layout of its face (a personal form following function kind of thing).

It took a couple of weeks for me to get around to wearing it, and other than the lume on the hands not lasting, it wears quite well. The watch uses a quartz movement which makes having a day/date complication worthwhile.

I stopped collecting mechanical watches with this feature because it took half a day to set the thing to the previous day and rotate the hands to see if anything changes. If nothing happens, it’s another minimum 12 hours of rotations before the time can even be set.

What impressed me about this watch is its day/date setting. The date set the same, AM or PM. Days are paired to show twice, changing every 12 hours. All That’s required is knowing if it’s AM or PM. Set the time, set the date and move the day to its first or second position.

ba da bing brilliant. None of my wound or automatic watches, low end or high end, are this easy to set. If they were, I’d start looking at mechanical day/date watches again. Switching to Strontium Aluminate for the hands shouldn’t alter the price-point, so 1 star for that.

Everything else is perfect.

Nice watch for everyday use. Display is big enough to be easily seen without making the watch too bulky. It’s not fancy but it looks good with casual to semi-formal attire. The only problem I found is the power save mode which needs to be turned off.

I love the fact that this is solar powered and syncs with an atomic clock for accuracy (I work at a TV station and its accurate to the stations master clock to the second every day). The smaller dials are a little hard to read because of the chrome trim around them and the watch has more functions than I could possibly need, but for a solid, dependable, and waterproof watch that I can take camping and still look stylish going out, this one cant be beat.

Great value watch with good features for the money, however I have a word of caution. The watch has a screw down crown (the crown is the thing that changes the time and date). The screw down crown allows the watch to go swimming in the ocean, etc.

without getting water in it. However, the crown style makes it slightly more difficult to change the time. It doesn’t work exactly like some other watches because of the water resistance feature. I recommend people read the manual or watch a video on how it works before assuming the watch is broken.

After discovering this watch from several YouTube channels raving about what a great watch this is, I dove(pun intended) head first into getting one when I saw they were sub $40. Supposedly they are getting rid of the marlin logo, so I wanted to get one with it while it was still available.

This watch does not disappoint. I expected it to be bigger, but it fits my 7. 5” wrist perfectly. This watch looks amazing. I plan on upgrading to a NATO strap or a shark mesh bracelet to make it look even better.

I really like the look and the feel of this watch on my wrist. I’ve given it 5 stars for this reason alone. I’ve wanted one for the last 12 months and this colour finally sold me. I’m not bothered with the notifications (email etc) and have never been into smart watches.

The training functions are great and the display is clear for a negative display. The MOVE app makes some things a lot easier to set and control but I have a few frustrating comments – why you can’t categorise activities (even differentiating between say hiking and running) and mostly why you can’t use the workout/timer function in conjunction with an activity.

However these are minor points and ones I’m sure Casio can address at some point. My order was delivered quickly and I will buy direct from G Shock again.

Got this watch a couple of days ago, after wearing GAW-100B for 3 years on my 6. 5-6. 7″ wrist. My first impression was that it is really small in comparison, but just right for my wrist as the band falls almost perpendicular to the case.

Dial is visible from almost all angles and in minimum light available, so the integrated illumination is needed only in pitch dark. I will not go in detail on the excercise plans and stopwatches, as I took this watch because of the better version of atomic timekeeping, as you don’t rely on picking up signal at 2AM, but you can get it any time of day and night.

As for the smartphone characteristics, please be aware that the watch will not pick up anything unless you first enable the app to have permission for control of notifications (off by default in app), and you cannot get only specific notifications, but all or nothing.

If you get 500+ a day like me, I suggest you put the watch in Plane mode, and connect it to the app when needed. Regarding the issue some had recconecting to the app, when you turn off plane mode, go to the app on the phone, and then Manage of the watch you already connected.

Then you go to Pairing on the watch – and done. Watch gets 1 star less because of 2 things: the clasp is plastic and had some mould remanents from the underside, which I had to file off because it was scratching my hand; the other is the squeaking noise of the plastic insert between the band and the case when you move the watch on the wrist.

Noticable, but not that bad.

I needed a running watch and I had to get a g shock because I love them and I couldn’t look anywhere else. The GBD200 looks and feels amazing, it’s simple to use and has great features. However, I’m finding running with it a bit frustrating.

Instructions about how to use GPS are so ambiguous. whichever way I try to run with it (connected to the phone / disconnected / GPS set to smart phone on the Move app), when I review the activity on the Move app it doesn’t show the route on the map.

I also have doubts about the live pace measurement, as when I’m running it only ever displays 4:52 or 5:08 min/km and nothing in between. When I go faster it’s only 4:52, when I slow down it’s only 5:08.

Finally, when running I like to have an alert giving my split time every km, however if you’re trying to stop the activity on exactly for example 5 km, it will be impossibile to do this as the km alert will take up the screen for far too long.

Please Casio send me an email with how resolve all of this or make a detailed instruction video about running with this watch, cause it’s driving me a bit mad.

Suffering poor eyesight means that digital watches are no good for my purposes. I had one of these watches before and found it ideal for my needs: extremely accurate time keeping, brilliantly legible dial and cheap as chips to boot! The last one I had ended up with a broken strap after about two years of daily wear; I fitted a cheap nylon replacement strap, bought from EBay, and the watch carried on keeping good time for another eighteen months before its battery went flat.

Since it is much cheaper to replace than get a battery fitted I decided to scrap the old one and get a new one to take its place. Although these watches aren’t expensive and aren’t fancy if you just want a cheap, no frills, functional, highly accurate wristwatch with an extremely easy to read dial you won’t do better than this for the money.

I only hope this particular Casio timepiece will still be available in two to four years time so I can purchase another when my current brand spanking new model bites the dust. Highly recommended.

This is a sensible, affordable, very durable, easy to read watch with timeless design. It has now become a “stylish” icon in the watch world. Listed here as mens but maybe more popular with ladies that have busy lives and want a sensible timepiece, as it is very slender and light weight and easy to set.

Downside is the strap, which is the only part likely to fail, apart from a battery now and again. I replaced the strap with a good quality smooth black leather one, which gives the watch even more style and is more comfortable especially in hot weather.

Battery life is very good, typically about a year. It is very easy to re-set for summertime etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

If the lady in your life likes a smaller style of watch for everyday wear, that has day/date and is reliable without having to worry about batteries running down (or having to wind it up every day as it has an automatic wind movement) then look no further.

All the advantages of the bigger Seiko 5 but in a small and elegant package. The fit and finish of this watch for the price is excellent and if you do not like this particular style there are many, MANY other styles in the Seiko 5 range to choose from dress to sport to diving models.

All share the same excellent quality and down to earth value. The Seiko 5 range is legendary and if you are looking to dip your toes into the world of mechanical watches for the first time or are just interested in getting (or giving as a gift) a very well made watch, that is reliable, for a very reasonable price then look no further.

This Seiko shares all the great characteristics of the Seiko 5 series: it is not expensive, it is robust, it is well made and well designed, and it has a (very durable) mechanical movement. This watch does not hack and cannot be wound from the crown.

Some people will not like it, but I personally do as it reinforce the image of simplicity and value of the watch. Just move a bit the watch to start it, then set the time and forget about it. The movement is robust, the precision is fine (- 10 seconds per day), the look of the watch is great and I find the watch comfortable to wear.

A classic and beautifully made watch (bracelet included). Definitely a great value item that I recommend to anyone looking for a classic design at a (very) reasonable price.

I had a similar Casio watch that was over 20 years old. I tried to change the battery myself and unfortunately damaged it in the process. I was thrilled to find that I could replace it for not a lot of money.

I like this one better than the one it replaced. Easier to set and the light actually illuminates the face in the dark so that it is readable. I am hoping this one lasts me another 20 years. :-).

Great watch. Styling is simple, yet attractive. Very rugged. I work on a ship and am constantly banging it bulkheads, ladder rungs, and anything else that gets in the way. Not to mention, being exposed to saltwater, paint, and other corrosive substances.

This watch takes a licking and keeps on ticking! The letters in the face have worn off, and the crystal is a little scratched. But, for less than 20 bucks it has held up very well in a tough environment.

Will buy another if I ever need to!.

With the same specs as the original G-Shock 10ATM / 10yr battery / 10M drop resistant theres really no need to spend an extra $70 on a G-Shock except status or Scuba Diving. This is one tough little watch for very little cash.

Honestly the analogue face is far nicer than most G-Shocks and while the LED’s are not the brightest, they get the job done when needed. The luminance on the hand lasts for around 12 hours anyhow. Some of the features are a little dated e.

g. Phone Book. But this will definitely be my “field watch” for some years to come I’m guessing.

very powerful …more output than expected!

I bought this when it was on sale for over half the price but it was somehow cheaper with the bracelet which was kind of weird. This, however, did not let me engrave it. The metal small hook piece that connects the strap to the watch on each side is extremely weak.

I wanted to take the mesh strap off to test on how it works and one of the small pieces broke off. Now part of the strap can easily fall off if I am not wearing the watch. Although, when I put on the watch completely it is really hard to make it fall apart unless I move one spot specifically.

The mesh strap is very strong altogether, sometimes I even hurt myself trying to take off the piece that connects both straps. It also may be confusing to put on and take off the watch but after some youtube videos I figured it out.

Now onto the good parts of this watch. I really like the design of the watch. Everything really fits in with each other. Even though everything is metal, it is actually pretty light and you barely feel a difference when wearing it.

There is also a day counter which is kind of useless but it comes in handy knowing what day it is. Overall, the looks of the watch is always nice to look at.

I purchase just at the same time with my e-bike it came in handy as one tire was low on the bike. It filled the tire up but no problem

For me – the watch looked great – but was hard to read due to the darkness of all the olive green everywhere. The LED light was insufficient to help me – so this watch would be a personal pass for me.

Never have to set the date after first time you set the month. Very nice looking, and comfortable to ware. Large numbers for easy reading. Button for light to read in the darkness. It has an adjustable clasp that slides and clamps where you need it to be.

It has a timer with alarm. I rated this watch five stars.

The watch is very good. I have bought this watch twice so far and each time it lasts about two years until the rubber strap wares and snaps. But the actual watch still works fine for long after though.

Very durable and it might last longer if you take better care of it than me. Great for work and telling the time when you wake up in the middle.
