Glad you are still making this great product. First saw it in US Cavalry and Brigade Quartermaster catalogs back in 1990s. Quality and durability are still tops, much better than sportswear made by Gore Bikewear.

When temps are high and you don’t need a waterproof boot continuously where your adventures take you this is the modular approach that affords comfort and adaptability to changing conditions. Just like you wouldn’t wear your Gore-tex parka all the time or you’d roast, same applies to protection for your extremities.

Same original durable taslan fabric on sole, heel and back of ankle with stretch in forefoot, top and cuff. An old and proven design that lets you adapt to the environment. Buy 2 sizes up to enable you to get them on.

They will still fit snug. These have always fit small and the design has not changed in 30 years. Rocky keep making this fine product, Gore-tex boots are overrated and expensive.

These work pretty well. You can wear a highly breathable shoe or boot and also have dry feet. I’ve worn them in a wide arrangement of footwear. My latest setup is paired with teva sandals. My feet feel free, dry and warm during cold, wet, 12 mile runs in the mountains.

Size up at least one size. Size up two sizes if you want layers or thick socks. Only complaint is wish they were a touch wider in the forefoot. But I also have wide feet and use minimalist footwear. Almost every shoe feels like geisha shoes compared to sandals.

I sure hope they NEVER discontinue these.

I love the performance but they have a serious flaw. They run very small for the specified size. More importantly, the correct size will be EXTREMELY difficult to get on/off. Almost no elasticity where you need it – going over the ankle.

I tore one sock at the ankle and my wife also torn one in the same place – see picture. If Customer service stands behind their product, I’ll let you know and change this review. Customer service can make up for a lot of things, but they really need a design change to address these issues.

Our sox are years old but only worn about 5 times, so I’m not hopeful about getting them replaced in a much larger size. There’s no hope for repairing them, they’d rip again trying to put them on or take them off.

Perhaps if you go ridiculously large in size like a plastic bread bag, that might work, but without some stretch, they could still be difficult to put on and off. I STRONGLY recommend you try them on at a store and see if you can pull them over whatever liner sock you intend to where.

If you can get them on and off, they do work great.

I ordered these for stepping into water when portaging my canoe, and dealing with cold water, muck and yuck which will likely enter my hiking boots as I walk over uneven terrain including bogs. I followed the size chart – I have size 12 women’s feet so I ordered a Large.

I just received them today I’m super sad. They are HUGE. basically I could put both feet in one sock. They are wide as hell. Must be for guys with HH width feet. They buckle and fall as I walk, with boots on and I even tried shoving my orthotics in them to take up space.

They bunch in the entire foot area from the toe box (especially) right into the heel. I can see these causing massive blisters over a portage as the fabric bunches like hell. It really sucks because these came from the UK (not Canada) and I won’t be returning.

Goodbye cash. The size charts obviously needs to take into account that a lot of women have narrower feet than men. I really thought I had the answer to my cold wet feet problem. :(.

Hi, I am a mountain rescue trainee volunteer. we often cant avoid deep mud, holes and shallow river crossing when carrying a stretcher and casualty. Very cold wet feet is never a good idea. I bought these and tested them on a night exercise.

Moving over rough ground, my leg went into a bog hole up to my knee. boot was soaked, inside,, but my feet when i got back to the RV, bone dry. What a purchase. highly recommend will always use on call out, gear like this will reduce risk of hypothermia.

Where with a sock liner (used Smart wool) very comfortable.

Awesome product and incredibly fast shipping! The socks are a perfect complement to my NRS farmer John wetsuit and have helped me extend my fishing season to almost year round. Keep in mind that these are socks an will need to be worn with some sort of shoes.

I bought an inexpensive pair of oversized beach shoes (2 sizes up from my normal size 13 foot) and they are the perfect fit. Dry and warm during rockfish season, who can ask for anything more?.

I was hesitant to get these due to the price but when they arrived and I tried them on they are worth it. The fit is outstanding for me with the XL. They are not too thick and should will fit inside my Heavy duty booties.

I will be using these primarily for SUP on flat water in cold weather when getting on and off the board is gonna get your feet wet. While a bit hard to get on and off the taper on the top cuff is just right.

I had to search the web a lot before I found them in my size.

The fit feels kind of funny because they are not really a sock, in that they don’t form fit to your foot. They’re more like a soft boot without a sole. They slip on fairly easily , but they’re really hard to get off because they’re quite tight around the ankle.

They could use some extra built in stretch in that area. All in all they keep my feet warm inside my oversize boots.

When winter hiking and camping my feet will sweat no matter what I am wearing. Wool socks work great but they still wick the sweat out (as they’re supposed to) which eventually dampens the inside of my boot which can become a problem when just sitting around camp and things cool off.

These socks work wonderfully for avoiding that situation since the sweat remains trapped within the sock and while I’m moving about and active they heat regulate and my feet remain warm. When I’m ready I remove the socks and put on a regular pair of wool socks for around camp and slip them back into my dry boots.

No more damp cold boots and no more need to try to the boots out by the stove. I hang the Thermlite socks in the tent and let them dry with the heat from the stove and they’re ready for the next hike or journey back out.

I bought these socks to keep the insides of my boots dry on overnight trips. Since I typically wear waterproof hiking boots and ski boots anyway, the issue isn’t keeping my feet dry—though these socks would certainly do that as well.

I wear a men’s 10. 5 and purchases these socks in a Large. Excellent fit. They feel a bit like a fleece-lined wetsuit sock, and are the equivalent of wearing two pairs of socks in your boots, so they add about 1/2 a size.

Just turn them inside out and they’ll dry quickly. Think I’ll be getting another pair or two.

I emailed prior to ordering to make sure these would fit comfortably in my running shoes. I wear Asics cotton or dri-fit sock, so a good fit was a concern. Especially since many reviewers complained about it.

I was told I’d be fine, but should buy the most expensive socks (can’t think of the name). These socks were drastically reduced so I decided I’d take a chance on them rather than risk paying a return fee if the more expensive ones didn’t fit.

Sadly only the hot pink ones were available— I’m not a pink person— but oh well. The fit is in fact pretty tight. My shoes have a large toe box so it’s not too bad, and I will only wear these on rainy days, so I’m not too concerned about stretching the shoes.

BUT…. They are so tight on my legs they leave a deep mark. I’m 5’10, 130lbs and have average-sized legs for my height and weight. In other words, they shouldn’t be so tight as to leave that much of a mark.

They didn’t hurt, but I only wore them 45 minutes so I can’t say they won’t for longer runs. If I’d paid full price, I’d be angry. I have other Shower Pass products and love them, so this won’t deter me from ordering again.

I just wish they had a better return policy because I’d be willing to take a chance on more of their items. Even though they provide a Fit Chart, who knows if you’re measuring the correct area and if you should go up or down a size if you’re in between their chart sizes.

I’m a couple of soggy PNW rides in on these these, they are my first pair, and have so far met my expectations. They’ve kept my feet dry in a pair of very breathable lightweight MTB shoes. I’ve used them in rainy and muddy conditions with standing water in spots.

My feet have stayed warm and dry the entire ride and they are actually more comfortable than I had imagined. I suppose if I had to knock them for something it would be that they aren’t overly breathable like a waterproof jacket might be, but it really hasn’t been an issue.

Great socks, I’m back for more.

Picked these up after a few soaked feet bike rides with big dreams. Haven’t seen rain yet, but they breath well for waterproof socks and my feet were a bit clammy after a 40mile push, but not hot. They stayed up the entire time, no falling issues.

But, I wasn’t pleased without a rain test so I ran them under my bathtub for 2 minutes. My foot was dry, inside of the sock was dry, outside was soaked. The three layer hype actually works. My gut says if water gets in from the top they wouldn’t dry out fast, but proper waterproofing overlap will prevent that.

I wear a 13 Nike, 48 Giro and the XL fit perfect. Great product!.

I was so excited to get these waterproof socks! I wear a size 7-7. 5 shoe and so I was a little concerned that they may be a little small. The size chart said that small Women’s socks are for women wearing size 5-7 shoe.

They were very small for me. They feel kinda weird- kinda thick and bulky, but I guess they need to feel that way in order to provide good waterproofing properties. Maybe if I got a medium they would feel better.

Unfortunately I am going to return.

I know my boots should be waterproof. but they’re not. So these socks are a godsend. This style even has some shaping ,making them super comfy. Expensive yes. But for me, essential. Medium is a great fit for ladies 6\7.

The Hydrostop band at the top of the socks, sets these apart from others. It is my understanding that water running down your legs will not get into the socks, because of this almost adhesive barrier strip.

At first there was a little discomfort under the toes, which my feet soon got used to. They seem to breathe very well for waterproof clothing, and of the three bicycle rides I have done in them so far, there has been no sweating, but I still had cold feet after 20 miles on one of the rides (in a forecast “”2degC that with wind chill, feels like -2degC””) but not on the other two rides, and I do suffer with poor circulation in my feet during cycling, so they usually get cold after 10 miles.

My feet are usually a size 10 or 11, and I prefer a loose fit as my feet are quite wide. I bought them in size XL which is perfect for me, but may explain the bunching of one of the three layers under my toes at first.

At £32. 50 per pair they are more expensive than ordinary socks. but these aren’t ordinary socks, and they have kept my feet warm on two out of the three cold weather rides I have done. I have ordered two more pairs without the Hydrostop strip, for drier conditions.

I bought these to wear on a long distance hike and they served me really well. Very comfy and although described as warm weather socks I felt they kept my feet warm. They aren’t 100 % waterproof as I discovered on my first day ; it rained a lot and by the evening I was sodden.

But on subsequent days they did me proud! A good alternative to buying brand new waterproof boots. I’m looking forward to wearing these on future trail runs. If you are a size 5 they feel snug but not restrictive , so if you like lots of room to wiggle your toes I would recommend sizing up.

The first time I used these socks I was delighted. They kept my feet dry and were warm and comfortable. As they were muddy after their first outing, I washed the socks in my washing machine (carefully following the cleaning instructions).

Since that wash the socks have been a nightmare. It seems the waterproof part is just a plastic bag placed in between 2 socks sewn together. The socks are almost impossible to use as the plastic bag bit has somehow been dislodged and floats in the space between the two socks.

Wearing the sock is uncomfortable and they are not waterproof anymore. I would ask for my money back but I haven’t the energy after all the time I’ve spent trying to manoeuvre the plastic ‘inner tube’ back in position.

I just got back from an overnight canoe race in Wisconsin over the Memorial Day weekend. During the night it dropped down to 35 degrees and my feet were in cold water for hours. Luckily i decided to wear an older version of these for the first time.

I was amazed how well they worked. Although my toes got slightly chilly by morning, the other racers were numb and miserable by comparison. I can’t wait to buy the newer version for my next race (and some gloves too, if they make them).

I wear a 10 1/2 shoe so ordered Large. Calf fit is ok but foot area is huge and definitely not form fitting. Bunches up. Also, quit using FedEx. It is least reliable carrier out there. Took 11 days to get to me.

I love the colour but on the practical side they work really well. We live in the Northern Rivers area in NSW on a fruit & nut orchard and we get a lot of rain or the grass is very dewy so our feet are always wet if we are not wearing wellies.

Long wellington boots are not the most comfortable boots when you are out all day harvesting and working on the farm. Now I can wear my usual comfortable shoes and keep my feet dry. I have given them the test and will be buying more for the whole family.

The socks have a liner that I guess makes them waterproof. However, I did not find them to be very waterproof on a trail run with multiple water crossings. After the first puddle, I could feel the moisture on my feet.

But it was a river crossing that my feet were socked and I had to wring out the socks. After doing so, they were comfortable. I’m giving them a 3 because they did not overheat and dried off fairly quickly after I wringed them out, and I didn’t have any blisters after a 18K technical trail run.

I’m just not sure if they are more water resistant than waterproof.

My wife and I already have DexShell socks. Two things make these new ones more comfortable than their predecessors. First, their flexibility. Second, I have purchased Large socks when the Size Guide recommends Medium: I have found Medium to be too constricting on my size 7 feet and my wife has found the same with the Small socks on her size 5s.

I just bought these and tested their waterproofness by putting them on and putting my feet in a bucket of water for about 10 minutes. At first they seemed waterproof, but after several minutes the calf of one leg started feeling wet.

At the end of the 10 minutes, both socks had allowed water through from the calf region and the tops of my socks inside were wet. I have an older pair of Sealskinz socks sold as “immersible socks” that were never waterproof, so was hopeful these would be.

They certainly are closer to “waterproof” and brief food immersions that don’t go above mid-calf will probably keep my feet dry. On sizing, I bought the mediums. My feet are narrow women’s 9, men’s 8, and the foot region of the sock is short so that my heel ends up behind the sock’s built-in heel.

The foot and ankle are also much wider than my foot. Nevertheless, the fit didn’t feel too bad and the socks should stay on and up around the calf alright.

I bought these socks for a recent BWCA canoe trip in upper MN. In the BWCA, almost all of the canoe exits and entries are wet-foot. In the past, I’ve had terrible issues with blisters on my feet due to my waterlogged skin rubbing inside my boots during portages.

These socks kept my feet dry the entire trip. The longest they were submerged for any single period of time was only a couple of minutes, but even after repeated dunking my feet remained dry. I was very pleased and admittedly somewhat surprised by this, since the early generation SealSkinz I used to have would leak a little water in after only a minute or so of immersion.

These, however, worked great even when submerged to nearly to top of the sock. Combined with my self-draining jungle boots, this is the perfect dry foot solution for me. The merino wool lining is an added comfort bonus.

Only the somewhat high price prevents five stars, but I still highly recommend these if you need to keep your feet dry.

This is my third pair of SealSkinz socks. They work great for cycling, hiking and kayaking-any activity where you want to keep your feet dry in wet weather. However, in warmer weather your feet will sweat a bit inside the sock.

They are quite waterproof.

Very tight around the fingers and I have slender hands. The tightness makes my hands cold, so these are only useful in slightly chilly situations, anything above 40 degrees. I expected more from them for the price and to be able to use them in more situations.

I bought these following a review saying that they were good as “”liners”” for walking boots (and then you put another pair on top) but found them far too thick and cramped my toes in my (quite loose fitting) Birkenstocks.

Such a shame as well constructed and good quality. And I bought two pairs – now I am wondering what I can do with them. Good wellington boot territory. Me thinks Online service was good and the socks arrived in good time.

I read other reviews before buying these socks. I bought them specifically because they were merino wool and were reported to be thicker than other liner socks which I needed for a good fit in my boots.

They are perfect and performed very well on a recent 10-day trip.

I tried the socks for the first time this weekend. I suffer from extremely cold feet. On the first day, my feet were cold, I popped them under ski socks and was outside all afternoon and sadly my feet did not warm up.

However, the next morning I got up, popped the liner socks on my warm feet, under the same ski socks and was outside in the cold with toastie warm feet – the most warm feet I’ve had yet doing my kid’s Sunday morning paper round with her! They are great at retaining heat in your feet!.

I have just done three days of hard hiking with lots of creek crossings. These socks were fantastic. My feet stayed warm and dry despite water coming in over my boots, even soaking my pants up to knee height at one time.

I didn’t have any gaiters just relied on my boots and socks. I found they run a tiny bit big for size (bought online) and was worried they might slip but they performed well. I intend buying another pair now for the next time I hike in wet conditions.

I bought these for bike couriering in the rain season and they work great. They are the second pair I bought. I like this model because they are a little more light weight and I like to wear a summer cycling sock underneath the waterproof sock so you can get multiple wears, a little extra heat in winter, and have a more natural feel on your feet.

One thing I will say, is that in very heavy showers the out layer of the sock can get saturated with water and, at some level, create the sensation that your foot is wet as the absorbed water is cold.

Therefore I’d recommend wearing a shoe cover in such heavy conditions or if you are going on a long ride to prevent the saturation from occurring. But when commuting or doing rides where the rain is light or a maybe, they are not necessary.

Bought for wearing in shoes for walking in rain (hard rain) and have been pleased with how they work. My feet stay dry even after standing in a creek. I have not tested its breathability. Its winter, and I don’t walk more than about 1-2 hours at a time.

I cannot say how long they stay waterproof for. Used only a few times. Note; after being in creek, my feet almost felt wet, but it was just the coldness of the water and the wetness of the shoe. After a while the shoe warmed up a bit and I stopped noticing.

After feet were still dry. I think some people wear a cotton sock underneath to help with this. I found them comfy, but even the thin ones are quite thick. Needed to loosen laces a bit. I’m not sure what these would be like in summer.

Bought three pair for my 10-day trip to Iceland in February 2022. Sir these over sock liners and in my Revel IV Expedition Polar boots. Feet never got cold and never needed to use foot warmers. They were perfect!.

The two pairs of socks were a gift to my grandson who works in and around the river Deben in Suffolk. He was highly delighted with his gift and did not consider them just another pair of socks from Grandma!!! Thank you for the quick delivery in plenty of time for his birthday.

It’s just that simply in my opinion: ie, these are the best boot socks you can buy. Soft to the touch but strong in cushioning, warm, and form fitting. What more could you want?

It was 34*F on my first ride with these babies on my dogs. I wanted to test them out with a walk across couple creeks. My feet were cold when I was fording across, but after a couple of minutes out the warmth came back to my feet.

My friends didn’t believe that my feet were dry, so I took the socks off and sure enough they were dry as can be. I can attest that these socks will keep your feet warm and dry in all conditions. The only downfall is that if you have Hobbit feet like myself, they are somewhat difficult to get on and off.

Mountain biking in typical Welsh weather. Socks kept me warm and dry all day. No rubbing or blisters. Fit is good with no wrinkles, ankles are quite snug and could be tight if you have bigger calves.

When it came to get the wet socks off I struggled with cold hands due to the tight fit around the ankles and found rolling them down easier than pulling from the toe. Overall would recommend these to anyone looking for dry feet!.

Used these through the recent snow period. Mountain biking along thawing trails and deep ruts full of icy water. Feet stayed perfectly dry and warm for the first hour and a half but by then my trainers where frozen and my feet started to feel the cold.

Would not have lasted the first half hour without these on. That good I bought a second pair.

These are a bit thinner than the longer versions and can fit inside your boots much better. Was a bit disappointed that the thicker longer ones did not seem to last long, but to be fair, I do a lot of walking.

If they last, they are terrific.
