20 Best Waterproof Blanket For Bed (2023 Updated)

The Petmaker gray or ivory waterproof pet blankets are a perfect must while traveling with pets or to use on your bed or chairs. One side is a soft fleece and the other side is an even softer velour.

I used two blankets while driving cross country to pick up my brand new puppy. The hotel beds stayed clean. Every two-three days I washed and dried the blankets on gentle and low settings. This is one of my best investments for pets.

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s waterproof, since it’s meant to be washable as well. However, it did handle my puppy spilling half her water bowl pretty darned well. On top of that, it’s perfect size for a standard 8 panel wire play pen that you can get from your local big box store.

I no longer need to find 3 different towels to make a nice soft spot for my puppy. I can use the entire throw blanket and cover the whole floor when it’s a bit too cold.

I love the PupProtector Waterproof Throw that I purchased from Paws. com. When my grandpuppy visits, he likes to rest on the warm, fuzzy blanket when we come inside after a hike. The size is perfect since I often have 3 dogs visiting.

We have an older dog who is sometimes incontinent when he sleeps. Since he has always slept on our bed, this is a rather unpleasant surprise in the middle of the night. This throw works great!! It’s soft, the color is rich, and, most importantly, it really is “water” proof.

My next purchase will be the bolster since no dog can really be too spoiled. Definitely recommend!.

I love the pattern and the fuzziness is lovely to me as a human. I ended up returning it because it was louder than I expected (common for waterproof blankets) and my dog wouldn’t lay on this and instead kept chewing it.

He’s a puppy and that’s kind of his MO for half the things we give him so, you may have better luck! I ended up going with the Victoria Orton one which is more velvet and quieter, but that’s twice as expensive and my dog still avoids laying on it if he can lol.

I have rescue pets & older pets an every now and again someone will have an accident or throw up a hairball etc which I normally have to take the whole bed/couch/what ever Apart to wash No more!!! This is an amazing blanket nothing goes thru it & it is washable!!!! I wish they made a real king size.

But 2 work great for a king bed!.

The blanket is well-made and my puppy likes it. Right now we’re using it for car trips as she gets very excited and leaks a bit from time to time. I love the vibrancy of the colors- blue/black Buffalo plaid.

Absolutely love this waterproof throw. Just got new furniture and daughter brought 2 pups for the holidays. my furniture is still looking great and throw washed nicely. I keep it on my couch regularly now and I don’t have animals.

Older dog having per problems. The large blanket covers the area of our bed where the dog sleeps. So much nicer than having to change the bed in the middle of the night. Better quality than another brand I tried.

False advertising. Claims to be a king sized (the ones I ordered) and even indicated the appropriate inches but when the items arrived they were not even close to the advertised size. Measures full 18 inches less than advertised.

Wow!! I have to use both king sized ones I ordered to cover my king size bed. HUGE WASTE of MONEY. Buy if you like throwing money away.

Love love love it. Washes well and dries quickly outdoors. I leave in on a chair outside. Your instructions say no dryer but it isn’t a problem. Virgil is very happy. The blankets is so soft and he is very happy cuddled on it! Wonderful!.

My dogs really love this blanket. They climbed on it immediately and got comfortable. The king size is big enough (and then some) to cover the chase lounge they love to nap on. They love it so much that I purchased a 2nd blanket for the bedroom.

It’s a vibrant color, well made, soft and easy to clean.

This waterproof throw is perfect. It’s so soft it feels like the material is actual animal skin, but completely without the guilt. I put grommets on the border and placed it it on my couch then secured it to the back side of the couch at the frame.

The material is very thick and durable so I had a hard time getting the grommet to pass through the material. I didn’t mind the struggle because it gave me confidence that the material will most likely stand up against the wiles of my new puppy and protect my leather loveseat.

I love my pet blanket from paw. com. I had an issue with the blanket I received being smaller than advertised, but they quickly replaced it! Their customer service is awesome and the product is very high quality.

I purchased a small and large blanket, as well as the bed. My dogs love the bed and my wife loves the blanket on the couch where the Frenchie sleeps. One thing I don’t like is the non-response I’m getting from customer service.

I have yet to receive the large blanket, which I wanted to give to my daughter for her dogs. Crickets, even after daily emails and messages. There is no service department, or customer service! In short, Great Product, no customer service (not bad, or lack-luster-NOTHING!).

This thing sheds WAY more than my dog does. It sheds on my couch, on my clothes, and on my dog. I’m amazed at how this blanket that’s supposed to solve a problem actually makes that problem much much worse.

I emailed customer service a week ago but haven’t gotten a response. They use the terms “luxury” and “high-quality” in the description. FALSE. This blanket is a huge disappointment. At this price point I expected a lot better.

I did a ton of research to find a dog blanket that would protect our furniture yet be attractive. I do not regret this purchase. The PupProtector throw really does what it says + adds some interesting texture to our bed and/or couch.

And our dog really loves to bed down and take naps on this. Contrary to other reviews, I found the blanket’s texture to be really soft and comfortable. I’m about to order another blanket in a different color!.

I like the thickness of the blanket but thought it would be bigger but it’s fine for the puppy. I found it $7 cheaper on another site but it’s ok.

The quality is great. However, the blanket is smaller than I expected (labeled king makes you think the size of a king size bed) and the one I was sent measures slightly smaller than the measurements on the website but not as small as the regular sized blanket.

I was also misled by the website saying I would receive a $30 gift card at the time of ordering, but it was just a credit towards a future purchase. So over, the product is great, just need a handle on advertising, marketing, quality control and customer relations.

Love my faux fur protector. It hides the hair of my black dog. Light cover and easily fits in my washer and dryer. My only dilemma is that it slips off my couch and I have to reposition it constantly.

I wish there was some elastic loops to hook on my couch or something like that. I have a felt couch too and the backing is felt yet it doesn’t stay put. Maybe if it was larger and I can drape over the back side but I have the largest the make.

Great product! Well made, soft and the goldens approve!! All 5 of them! I bought the “king” size. We have it on our bed and they love it. It is almost true to sze measuring 77” not 80”. In reality, it would be nice if the king was about 90” long as it makes a great top blanket for the bed!!!! We love it, the dogs love it.

This blanket is perfect for protecting my couch. It is good quality, waterproff, easy to spot clean, and very soft. Satisfied with my purchase.

I keep this in my car and use it all the time. It’s excellent quality and perfect for picnics, outdoor concerts, and is cozy if you do use it as a blanket. Washes well and stows easily in the bag. Just this week I was at an outdoor concert at Tanglewood and the skies opened up AND POURED.

We actually held this blanket over us and stayed warm and dry, allowing us to continue reveling in the the songs and sounds of Brandi Carlile. This product certainly overdelivers on its promises. I love my picnic/park/poncho blanket! :D.

This is the third blanket I have purchased. The first was for myself! I have had it in my car for 10 plus years. Used for many a picnic & concert. It looks like new & is completely waterproof, but soft to sit on! Have washed every time I have used.

The waterproof outdoor plaid blanket I purchased is made of synthetic fiber and it is just ok. It does the job to provide a dry place to sit on because one side of the blanket is plastic, the other side is made of polyester, I think.

The blanket will also provide some measure of protection from rain and cold while being outside. It has a storage bag that is REALLY difficult to get the blanket back inside. I was thinking “really, the designer could not spare another inch of fabric for the bag to be a little bit larger?”.

This waterproof throw blanket totally saved my couch this mud season! I have two GSD’s at home who love to roll around in the mud and then come inside and jump all over the my couch. They love this blanket and I love it too.

It’s easy to clean, cute, and I often find the boys curled up on it for a snooze. I bought them the cutest dog beds too. I will be back for more!.

I ordered the King Throw. I do like it and I am glad I purchased it, however I am very happy I didn’t pay full price as I believe it is way to high for the size. The dimensions are listed in the description but the use of King in name led me to believe it was the same size as a king blanket.

Unfortunately it is not that large and barely covers my queen bed. My dogs burrow under the blankets if the are not tucked in so I always buy king sizes for my queen. The King throw isn’t long enough to go up over the pillows or tuck in at the end or sides.

Again I do like the throw very much but wished it was larger (wider and longer).

My dog finds this blanket the best spot in the house. My house is unusually cold and I also find this blanket the best spot in the house! Every time someone stops by they ask about it. Hopefully I can pick up another one to cover the rest of the couches because I love not worrying about any doggy mud paws on the couch.

Although the color was a little darker then I anticipated (closer to a dark blue), and a little slippery on a leather chair, It is great for so many other reasons. The best reason is that it is waterproof, childproof, foodproof and just plain animal proof.

This is not my first product from Paw. I have a couple beds, a couple blankets and other items. I love these products.

We absolutely love this blanket/spread. We have 6 dogs, a doggie door, & a pool…recipe for disaster! Lol! This waterproof cover keeps our king sized bed clean and dry! We also have the short haired blanket, but we especially love how soft this one is as it stays on our bed.

We love using this on the couch for our senior pup. It’s soft to sit on and looks nice. The pups all love sitting on it. It has paid for itself and saved our couch so many times. It would be great to have even if you have kids.

Easy to wash. It takes a while to dry but that’s why your couch stays dry even with big accidents.

The PupProtector definitely protects whatever its covering. We had it spread out on the floor and our pup decided to test it out while we were at work. Her accident never touched the carpet underneath the blanket.

Very soft and slippery surface. This makes it very nice for “the team” to lay on, me and the Aussie/Border Collie team, and it does not trap hair and dirt like many other covers I have tried. A minor problem with that is it can be a bit hard to keep in place with 6 full sized dogs bouncing on and off the couch, since it is so slippery, on both the top and bottom.

Also, it seems to actually be water proof, unlike many we have tried. It doesn’t seem to soak through when a team of wet pets pile on. I would recommend this cover for anyone trying to save their furr-niture from a pet disaster.

Excellent thus far! The reversible blanket is a nice weight, not too lofty, and so, so soft. Our Goldapeake Retriever agrees; he has several spots set up around our house, but his favorite by a mile is wedged between us on the hooman bed.

Still, we don’t like sharing the detritus. This blanket is a nice option, protects the bedspread, looks fetching, and seems to perform as well as pricier blankets. I’d buy it again, for sure.

Exceeded our expectations! Purchased for an aging loved one to use as a ‘just in case’ barrier for any mishaps. This throw is so lovely to the touch, and is made with great quality! It’s not only given a sense of security and helped to best retain modesty, but it has become a full time use comforting blanket – So much so that we have likened the weightiness of this throw to feeling and acting similarly to a therapeutic weighted blanket! Very impressed with the durability of the fabrics and appreciated the fast shipping as well.

I ordered 2 blankets – one original and one large. I received 2 blankets. The large was not the color I ordered and the receipt confirmed I was sent the wrong item. I called and left message. Tried a few other times to reach company.

No response. Originally, I was going to have them send the correct color, but the company cannot be bothered to respond, so I’m not keeping the wrong color blanket. Completing an order is not rocket science.

I won’t do business with this company again and will share my experience. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

He LOVES it! And so does mom! Washes really easy but I do have to run it one more time on the spin cycle because it soaks up water like crazy! (Which is what I wanted this blanket for) we have a natural spring pond at the house and they love swimming, so we have to deal with wet dogs a lot.

This is PERFECT and it doesn’t show dirt like normal light colors. Everything I wanted in a blanket! They immediately fall asleep on it! Also, my bed is a King and it fits all the way across and from the edge of the pillows to the end.

I love the waterproof throw & so do my dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers & they tend to want to mark their territory if something smells like the other dog. I got sick of washing the whole dog bed so I bought this to put over the top to protect it.

It works well & is great quality. It’s already been peed on & been washed. It still looks great. My only problem is that it needs to hang to dry & it takes quite a while to dry because it’s so thick.

But that’s something I can handle. I’m very happy with my purchase.

It is very soft. Feels extremely durable. However, it is a little stiff. I’m hoping it will loosen up after washing, and to be honest I would have liked it larger. Wish there was a choice for a larger blanket.

But, over all it is a wonderful blanket for our pets and really protects the couch from critter messes.

My dog absolutely loves this blanket. She sleeps on it on our couch and in her crate at night. It is very soft but durable. It does a great job keeping the couch protected from anything she tracks in or all of the shavings from her toys.
