20 Best Water Toys For Toddlers (2023 Updated)

All four of my children love this ranging from age 2 to 8 years. It is very durable once you fit it together. Pump was quite tricky to assemble as instructions aren’t great to follow. Worth the effort and money as the children love it.

Consider adding “Crackle Baff Colours” to the water or some washing up liquid and food colouring to add variety and fun. Excellent for warm to hot days especially if you encourage creative play by adding small dinosaurs or toys.

The accessories it comes with are very cute – my 4 year old watered my plants for around 30 minutes using the little watering can and enjoyed refilling it. It is small but I’d say 2 small children can fit inside and play at a time with good monitoring.

I’m not sure I could fully express how much I love this toy! It has so much potential for learning and exploring, not to mention the amazing water features that have my kiddos wanting to be outside for hours! Delivery: The toy was delivered in one very large brown, cardboard box.

The outside of the box had the name of the toy on it, but no pictures. My girls can’t read yet, so that worked perfectly for me! Assembly: Upon opening the package, I appreciated that there wasn’t a lot of styrofoam inside.

There were several bags to keep the pieces in, and they were all taped to the back of the base. I was worried that the tape would leave a residue on the base, but thankfully I was wrong. The instructions were in the box as well, and were very easy to read.

The item does require a screwdriver (more on that in a bit) and a bit of elbow grease as the holes for the screws are not present but rather have to be made by the force of the screw in the plastic (per the instructions).

I wouldn’t say that was a negative, but it was definitely unexpected and required a tiny bit more time and effort than I was anticipating. Overall, it went together fairly easily, and I (32f) was able to assemble on my own.

The only negative to putting it together was the screwdriver issue (mentioned above). There is one spot at the top of the pump where the screwdriver needs to be narrow and long in order to get the screws in without damaging the surrounding plastic.

Unfortunately, I was unaware of this and did not have another screwdriver on me, so the plastic was slightly scratched. Nothing too concerning, but something to be aware of. Play: my girls (2 and 4) love this toy, but I think I love it more! There are so many different learning tools to it (the use of a pump, water being pulled down by gravity, how the water filling the bucket causes it to dump and spin).

Plus my girls are excited to go outside and play in the water! I definitely think this toy was a win and was so glad that we got to try it! One play negative- after the 2nd or 3rd time playing with the toy, the pump stopped working.

After messing with it a bit, I realized the tubing that goes up the pump had come loose. It would be beneficial if that could have a better attachment somehow. (Hoping to update with pictures after the rain stops!).

Of all the water tables out there, this is the coolest. Since the pool sits right on the ground even the littlest of toddlers can play and have fun. There are many “activities” to do with this water table or they can just enjoy sitting in the bottom to cool off.

It was a bit difficult to put together to be honest and my husband and I are no strangers to assembling toys/furniture/what have you. Just be sure to really align everything properly before you screw it together.

**Here’s how to keep the pump from breaking! First of all, we left the collar a little loose to allow the pump to swivel a bit easier. Second, pull the pump handle out and grease the disc inside. Our pump had seized after a few weeks and after greasing it it worked better than it did new out of the box.

I wish it had come with a bit of lube to begin with. Occasionally the tube that reaches to the water falls down but you can just reach down and push it back up and the water should flow again.

I had been looking for a water table, bought one, then returned it after finding this. It makes so much more sense than a lot of the other tables out there. The ability to cover the sand after each play time was enough to make me purchase, but there is so much more.

Easy to build with simple picture instructions. Easy drainage plug. The table holds a bucket of water and when my kiddo is finished, I can easily collect the water back into the bucket then water the plants.

I absolutely recommend this product to any and everyone. And if he understood my 19 month old would agree too!.

You have to drill holes through each piece of plastic to assemble. It didn’t come with predrilled holes so you have to figure out where the hole should go then get a electric drill to make a hole. It’s was so problematic to do I just gave up.

I’ve never seen a children’s item like this that requires professional assembly. Pretty sure it shouldn’t came predrilled but mine didn’t.

My kids, 3 and 1, are in love. Just FYI we received a green umbrella and instead of the dolphin and fish toy, we got 4 fish and 2 turtle. All the other toys pictured we also got. It is definitely worth the price and I can’t wait to have them play with it all summer.

The only con is that like someone else mentioned, there are no screw holes. You’ll need manly strength with a screwdriver or a drill to put it together properly.

My rating is more of a 4 and a half. Half been because I wish it had pre-deilled holes for the screws (it did however have indentation where the holes would need to be made which was helpful) and wished it had more entertainment to it.

Other than that this water table is great and my toddler does enjoy it. Its just simple and very durable. Love that it comes with a small umbrella to give shade under one of the water bowls. We use it not only as a water table but also use one side as a sand table so you can use for many purposes which is great because it makes my toddler use his imagination as he adds his personal toys to it.

I would recommend using a power drill (i had one handy) if you are more on the weaker side like me. I couldn’t get the holes to get started with just a simple screw driver so I used my power drill to get the holes started, but I’m sure it can be done with just a hand held screw driver.

Easy to put together-good size for a little one. Maybe not tall enough for older kids-mine is only 2 1/2 so it’s perfect for her. All parts were there and work fine-the ducks are cute and float just fine.

Too cold to be outside with full water today so on this first day she just played with it inside and was so happy. With water and outside it’ll be even better.

Purchased for our daughter who turns 1 in June. She LOVES water and I can’t wait for her to enjoy playing with this. It will also make a great sensory table for the colder months! She is tall for her age but the table definitely seems appropriate for any child that can stand confidently.

Opened and assembled early to make sure it was functional. All pieces came included, assembly took me maybe 10 minutes. Some pieces are a little tough to snap into place but I like that because they won’t fall off.

Overall we are thrilled with this purchase and will probably let her play with it early because it looks like so much fun. *Disclaimer- we have not yet filled it with water or left it outside for a period of time so I cannot really comment on its durability but just based off the quality of parts I have faith it will be just fine!.

The child likes it so it must be a good buy. It’s easy enough to assemble. I think the hardest part was the drain plug. You have to fit the crease in the rubber plug into the hard plastic. The launchers on the table edges COULD potentially break if a child pushes/pulls too hard on them.

They do make the frogs fly which also could hurt. If I am going to make ONE product suggestion it would be with the frog design. They are a hard plastic and shaped a little odd. I think they could be a silicon or a think rubber so when launched and they hit something or someone there is not a loud plastic crashing noise.

This could also help reduce the likelihood of someone getting plunked with a hard piece of plastic, in the head or face.

This is a well-made product, which is what I expected from Little Tikes. My grandson is 18 months old, and I can see he should enjoy this throughout his toddler years. The little toys that accompany it are perfect.

The box is huge, but the table itself is perfect for a little patio. This met my expectations and I am very pleased. So is he!.

The plug is awful and leaked instantly after trying to seal and adjust several times. The table was completely empty of water in less than 5 minutes. Very bummed this did not work at all to hold water.

Looks like it would have been a fun sturdy table despite this problem. But it is unusable for water.

I am a staff reviewer and received this item as part of a sampling program. My son is 2 and PAW Patrol is his favorite. We have everything from character blankets to tee shirts, so I had a feeling a PAW Patrol water table would be a huge hit.

I was right. We had an indoor “beach party” over the weekend with my 2-year-old and 4-year-old. Grandma even joined in on the fun! We played for HOURS and had a blast. The slide and water spinner got the most use.

My kids pretended that the three included characters, Marshall, Skye and Zuma, were at an Adventure Bay pool party. I love that this encourages imaginative play. If it wasn’t snowing outside, they’d be playing with this everyday.

Step 2 makes very sturdy products for children and are somewhat affordable and pretty reliable. Im always critiquing the toys I buy, sometimes a little too harshly, and this is no exception. I love that the Lookout Tower is a part of the set, especially if you have yet to drop the $80-$100 for any of the individual lookout towers (like myself).

The water table is cool, but after a little bit, my son lost interest. It doesnt have a ton of features but it is a brand within a brand, so. but if your child loves Paw Patrol anything and everything, you still cant go wrong.

It is a Step 2, so theres some assurance right there.

I’d been researching these until I almost turned another age for heaven sakes! Many had great reviews and looked super but we have an almost two year old and wanted her level of items and ease and we got it.

This water table is sturdy – no leaking as others pointed out with other tables and we are very pleased with our purchase for her! Furthermore it prompted without even asking LOL that she turned and watered “grandma’s” outdoor plants which happened that day to be next to the water table.

We got a kick out of that! Anyway you will not go wrong with this purchase. Nice item – well made and gosh how she loves it!.

This was an instant success with children from 2 to 10, who sometimes helped each other and also became quite competitive about who controlled the crane and paddle! Nobody has developed boredom with the toy, which has proved to be good value.

The only downside for adults is storage and keeping track of all the bits.

This is a great product. My 3 year old grandson loves it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is 2 accessory pieces were missing. Some of the attachments just balance in place, instead of snapping on which is difficult for a 3 year old, but will be fine as his motor skills develop.

Product has no real instructions for assembly, you just follow a few pictures and the picture on the box. Once together, it does not leak and keeps him occupied for hours.

Although I’m not the biggest fan of plastic toys, this is very well made with thick, sturdy plastic. I have two boys aged one and four and each of them got something out of this toy. This particular set is good due to the lock, pump and bridges.

My eldest was able to play around with flow and the lock system, were as my youngest was just happy to push the boats around. A good toy that will last us many summers. You will need a fairly large level surface to build this upon, grass or patio is suitable.

Very pleased with this water tray bought for my grandson,s 1st birthday. The height is perfect for him and he can just about throw the balls into the spiral funnel. His 3 year old sister declared it ‘brilliant’.

There is enough room for 4 children to play happily round it. Be warned the ball wheel makes a wonderful splashing spray when turned at speed by an older child. It was easy to assemble BUT the only disappointment was that the Ferris wheel handle is only connected by a small screw and this broke very quickly when turned energetically.

Fortunately my handyman husband strengthened the connection with some wooden pegs for support and this seems to have lasted so far. If the handle can be more robustly joined to the water tray in future models this would get full marks.

My daughter loves this water table. There are enough different activities to keep her occupied for quite some time. I like how the accessories are simple in nature. It allows her the excitement and enjoyment of figuring them out all on her own.

It seems fairly durable as well. My daughter is quite rough but this table has not fallen apart as of yet. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars across the board is because one of the legs falls off whenever I lift the table up.

It will just not lock in place. It does not affect the safety or usability of it; I just find it annoying. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

We got this water table from a friend of ours for the summertime. My almost 3 year old loves to head out in the early morning and splash with his toys while I drink my coffee. I do wish that it had a proper cover so that I didn’t need to dump out the water so often.

Pollen in my area has been really bad and it collects so quickly on top, as well as the issue of open standing water attracting mosquitos. There is also an issue with cleaning it well because of the little details of starfish and other shapes that trap dirt.

The only way I’ve been about to get into those crevices is with a Q-top, so i try not to let it get dirty in the first place. But for the price, the quality of this table is better than some I’ve seen with a higher price tag.

This was for our 3 year old nephew. He had an accident in bathtub (get ready for too much info) lol he pooped during a bath and after that absolutely refused to take a bath. Shower only and not happy about it.

I got this as part of his Christmas gifts to lure him into giving taking a bath again. Worked like a charm he was ready to get back in the tub right after opening it. Happy to report he is once again loving bath time and plays with this both in and out of the tub.

Absolutely useful to entice children into bath whatever their reason to not want a bath lol. Mom and son loved it was worth far more then the cost will buy again or one of company’s other bath pool toys for sure.

21 month old loves this toy in the bath. Loves sharks and kept saying “shark” I kept trying to correct her and say “orca” which she would reply, “orca shark” The other day I realized she’s right, this orca colored animal is in fact a shark.

The tail is up and down like a shark not like a whale and there are gills cut into the side which are normally on fish not mammals. Kiddo loves this shark and if it’s not in the tub she will yell “shark” until we find it.

The paint has started to fad with lots of use but then we will just be left with a white shark that I think is probably more accurate in color to a real shark so I’m ok with it. If this ever breaks we are definitely getting another and have been thinking of getting the bird version of this although kiddo is not into birds as much as sharks.

I’d definitely buy it again :)How we used it:I searched for a whale that had a opening where a little toy figure could fit in for the acting out of JONAH THE WHALE Bible story in the bathtub (for obvious reasons).

I searched high and low to no avail. UNTIL I came across this little gem! It comes with these little fish guppies that he’s supposed to gobble up, but we are using our little ‘guy’ as Jonah and a boat we already had.

Fun summer water toy for kids, and even adults. Super easy to assemble; you just snap the post into the base, and screw in both floor supports to the base. Takes less than 5 minutes if you have the tools out.

You do have to use the stakes that the product comes with. The base support is not sufficient to hold the toy upright, especially when tugging. Also, need a long enough water hose to attach to the base.

I thought the base itself stored water but instead, you feed the water hose directly to it for unlimited water play. That actually works out better so you’re not constantly refilling the tank/base. Water sprays out if one side is pulled in one direction farther than the other.

Little Tikes has done it again! They have come up with a unique Tug of War water toy for kids. Living it Texas, we were able to try this out early in February for a fun afternoon of pre-summer adventures.

My kids and several neighborhood kids enjoyed using it. I like it because it wont take up too much space in the garage until the next use. It appears to be duarble as even the 13 year olds using it did not break it.

This is a great toy to keep the kids giggling! The kids had such a fun time playing with this at my sons birthday! It was hilarious watching them battle. It was super easy to put together and the kids really love.

My son has been bugging me to take it out again all week but it’s been raining. I see a lot of fun memories with this toy this summer!.

More a question than a review, before purchasing for boys. How big are these? Just a little concerned that my two boys might decide to play “throw the missile at your brother”, and knowing my luck … there’ll be tears and eye injuries.

Are the ends of these a decent size as well as being blunt? My pair can create “opportunities” to injure each other with a pillow in a padded room, I’m pretty sure. I’m probably creating thoughts of problems that can never happen, but I’d rather be sure.

Fun diving toys! They work great and really zip through the water. Would be best in a pool though, we took them to the lake but the black one and grey one got lost right away as they are difficult to see in natural waters.

We use them a ton. We play a game where the kids close there eyes and I toss the entire set in the air and these things scatter all directions under the water. the moment the kids hear the splash they can go after ‘their’ color.

Once they get those, they can get the other ones and the one that gets the most wins. We play it a lot.

Bought it because my 1. 5 year old played with his cousin’s water table the month before and he enjoyed it. This was easy to assemble by myself, and has entertained not only my 1. 5 year old, but also his cousins (2, 2, and 4) as well as my friend’s child (4).

It’s a big hit with all the kids and keeps them occupied for long periods of time. We set it up under a canopy for added sun protection. When 2 of his cousins are over (2 and 4), all three of them can comfortably fit at and play with the water table.

My 19-month-old little girl loves this water table! It was super easy to put together and we could start playing right away! The only very minor flaw is that the ball launcher falls out every time you use it.

It pops right back in though so it’s no big deal. y seven year old even likes to play with it. especially the ball launcher. This thing has gotten us through this very hot summer, so thank you!.

The gears in the middle of the table actually don’t move at all when you pour water over them. You have to manually spin them. Still glad we purchased! Even though it doesn’t work as expected, it has still resulted in hours of fun for my 2 year old.

This is a great set of colorful plastic pool toys. They are great fun for the kids and will help them enjoy the pool and get a lot of exercise playing games with them. They won’t last forever but pool toys seldom do.

The combination of sun, pool chemicals, and kids loving on them limits their life a bit. That said, this set will last a season and maybe two (most of them anyway) and that is as long as we can possibly expect.

You get what you pay for. It did the job for a family vacation. You lose some and you aren’t mad at the kids. Something breaks, oh well. This is not a durable home pool option. This is a use for the random vacation type thing.

SHE THEN SCOOPED THOSE ITEMS UP AND PLACED THEM IN ANOTHER BIN. THE WATER SQUIRTER WAS A LOT OF FUN BUT FELT A LITTLE SIMILAR TO THE DROPPER – THE CONCEPT OF SQUEEZING THE WATER OUT. AND FINALLY, THE SPINNER WAS MY LEAST FAVORITE.

THE PIECE DOESN’T PHYSICALLY MOVE UP AND DOWN – IT JUST SPINS. MY DAUGHTER JUST SPINS IT IN THE WATER, BUT CAN’T REALLY SEE US USING IT FOR THE SAND. PROS 3 OUT OF THE 4 PRODUCTS ARE PRETTY NICE AND DEFINITELY WORK ON REFINING FINE MOTOR SKILLS.

I am an avid, almost exclusive, user of Learning Resources products, which are among the best I have found. This toy, while a solid, well-made toy, is merely average. I bought it for use in the bath, as an alternative to the standard “squirty” toys.

It does most definitely help with fine motor skills, but it is not as entertaining as I had hoped. Some of the items like the scooper or spinner, might be more fun in a sandbox or bowl of rice. In the water, they seem somewhat less functional.

The dropper is probably the best item in the set, as it is somewhat interesting to watch the water run through the twisty curves. I would recommend this product for a 2 year old, rather than 3 as they may find it more entertaining at that younger age.

As a special education teacher of students having multiple disabilities, including cognitive impairment and autism, I am always looking for well made, functional tools for my students to manipulate as they build fine motor skills through sensory activities.

They have been able to learn how to collect water in the Twisty Dropper and then squeeze it out. It worked nicely for our recent experiments with combining droppers full of different colored water to make new colors.

I like that the dropper doesn’t separate into two pieces. The Silly Scooper and the Super Spinner soon found their way to our playdough station where they have worked well, too. The Squeezy Squirter has a pretty big opening so it sprays a pretty heavy stream of water.

Bathtub or outdoor use only!.

These are great toddler bath toys. They begin singing as soon as they hit the water and stop when you take them out or after a few rounds of singing baby shark while swimming. I bought them in a three pack from Costco over a year ago and they still work.

We used two in the tub and one in the water table outside all last summer. One of them is now broken but that was my fault as I didn’t unscrew it all the way when changing the batteries. My son loves them and they are holding up really well.

The one that we used outside was brought into the garage every night during the summer, so it didn’t stay outside all the time. I would definitely recommend these and will buy again if still available when all of ours wear out.

I bought this and used it that night for my daughters bath. I was trying to make the bath more appealing since we were switching her from the sink bathtub to the big girl bath. It only worked for a few minutes so I thought maybe the batteries needed to be changed even though it was new.

I changed the batteries and it still wouldnt work. Not sure if I just got a dud or what.

Bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas. She adores it and it is so cute in the tub, swimming around and singing it’s iconic song. However it also sings the same blooming tune randomly according to any amount of moisture the stupid little fish thinks it senses.

Take a shower. Song. Brush your teeth. Song. Flush the toilet. Song. Nothing quite prepares you though for that dark, silent toilet dash at 3am. You tiptoe down the landing and gently open the bathroom door.

Sleep clouding everything but the need to pee and not wake the toddler. As the door silently swings open you are suddenly attacked by an incessantly cheerful rendition of “the most annoying song on earth.

” I will never know how the toy got louder than usual that night. All I know is that I am sure it smiled at me as it heard my toddler join in the second verse. It now lives in the shed with the possessed furbies.

Good idea but I’ll stick to the soft plush sharks.

We love this toy so so much. Consistently the toy that is used in every bath. Both my 3 & 5 year olds play with it. Holds a decent amount of water so hair rinsing too. Opening up for easy cleaning is a nice touch.

I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review. This colorful blue and yellow submarine makes for the perfect toy for water play in the tub, the pool, and even at the beach.

When you fill it with water, the front acts as a spout and is a great “hair rinser” that holds a lot of water. If you tip it to the side, the water flows out of the four portholes like a waterfall. It’s also great because it floats and doesn’t roll over.

It’s also great because it floats and is very colorful and holds allot of water so it eliminates extra cups or bowls in the bathtub for rinsing your kids hair. I love that all green toys are made from 100 percent recycled plastic milk jugs and is free of BPA and phthalates.

The packaging is also nice as it is made from recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics or twist-ties and very easy to open and start playing right away.

I gave this to my friends little boy for his 2nd birthday and he was absolutely thrilled. I love that it’s made of recycled plastic and that you can put it in the dishwasher to clean it. Would buy again.

we set up the table, put it on the patio. directions for the attachments is very involved and discouraging to busy parents. we removed from the plastic bags a couple of items like the cups and bucket, left the rest in the bags.

in less than 2 weeks, the sun caused the purple bucket to fade to blue over half of it, so now it’s 2-toned. this is a patio that does not get sun all day. I’ve had toys like plastic slides and chairs that take years to fade in color, not days, and not become 2-tone.

the big pieces like the table and supports have not faded , yet. buyer beware.

I was extremely DISAPPOINTED with this product!!! We received this for our nephew and it came withOUT any of the accessory toys! It was just the table! It said both on the box & when ordering I asked if it came w/ the toys & I was told Yes! Not only that but when we went to put it together most of the screws were missing! Thankfully my husband is handy & he was able to put the toy together himself! I called customer service 2x’s and was told they would send out the accessory toys ASAP…that never happened! We paid for a toy that was DEFECTIVE!!! I went out & bought other water toys for our nephew so he had toys to play with! This is a lousy piece of junk! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! Very Disappointed!!!!!.

This is perfect for my little one he is cooped up in this house because of the Rona so what better way to put a smile on his face then give him this. it comes with 13 simply can’t-do-without pieces, including a bucket, spinner, maze pieces, flipper, and water animals.

the shower feature is so neat. this keeps him so busy he forgets he is stuck inside all day. we took a blow up pool and put this inside it because it was to cold to go outside yet but the pool kept my floors nice and dry.

It is marked where the screws go but not pre-drilled. Hubs used a small screwdriver to start the hole but said it would have been easier if he had a drill. The table is sturdy and I expect it to remain so.

It is long enough that two babies have plenty of room to play and splash. So well made and sturdy. the colors are very vibrant as well. Highly suggest you gets this for your babies or grand babies. MY grandson came by and he loved it.

After looking at a variety of water tables available I decided to go with this one due to its simplicity. The price wasn’t bad either in comparison! It is the perfect height for my 2 year old. Her favorite piece is the plastic net and the fish and sea turtles.

She even plays with them in the bathtub! This water table is lightweight and very easy to assemble. Took me 5 minutes max. Seems pretty durable as well. Would do great with rocks or sand instead of water if looking for more of a sensory type use.

I bought this for my toddler who loves water play. We have a small balcony which already containers planters and a couple chairs so I needed something small space friendly. This takes up the footprint of a bistro table (so for us it worked nicely), It comes with a nice range of accessories for different types of play, and empties *fairly* well (you need to drain and then tip).

just received the water/sand table for my 2 year old who is severely adhd. she loves to run and play outside but tends to try to wonder off. she loves playing in the dirt. filling buckets up. and she also loves baths.

i ran across this while looking online and knew it would be perfect!! not hard to assemble very light weight not too big but not too small. literally perfect all the way around!! cannot wait til she sees it!! must buy!!.

I bought this for my 9 month old granddaughter and she loves it! Even though she is not walking yet, she leans against it and splashes in the water. Dory, Nemo & octopus squirt water and we make the water swirl with the center paddle.

The fish go down the slide when we pour water on it. This is a great toy for those hot summer days. Great quality.

Product arrived sooner than expected. It was easy to put together, instructions were clear. My grandson loves it! I gave this product 4 stars and would have given 5 stars but the tower doesn’t stay fitted into the space and falls off easily.

Overall this is a great water table!.

My grandsons just love this table! They will spend an hour on the porch pouring water from container to container and shooting Dory and Nemo off the launchers! I got them magnet fish and fishing rods that they like fishing for too.

Lots of fun. Be warned-put your kids in swimsuits as this is splashing fun!.
