20 Best Water Purifier For Faucet (2023 Updated)

This is my third filter in five months. The light stopped working on the first one within a month and Walmart replaced it. Three days ago the light stopped working in the replacement. I only purchased this third one because I had purchased filters and it’s too late to return them.

If this one goes out in two months, which it probably will, I’ll be writing the company. My advice: if you are looking for any type of longevity buy a different brand.

I am obsessed with my Britta. I always used my pitcher but it became very dreading when I had to fill it up and wait for my water to get cold. The process was very blah. So when the the pandemic hit I had just had a newborn and water was another thing that was flying off the shelves so I invested in this as well as another pitcher so that I wouldn’t have to worry about not finding water for myself and children.

This is a game changer. I love it 👌 ten out of ten recommend. And I love that theirs a light that tells you when you need to replace the filter.

Got replacement filter on 12/1/2021. Been using faucet filter system 10+ years now. Filtered water tastes better and for coffee to. Used to live in a studio apartment. Water lines 100+ years old stuff in the water glad I bought faucet filter system.

Filtered water also good for pets. You can taste the difference. Only thing green light does not last long. But great product though.

I bought my filter about a year ago (?) because I was going through coffee machines two or three times a year because of mineral deposit build up. I also have two cats that drink filtered water ONLY! My coffee machine has been spotless and working great since I got the filter and both of my cats are drinking more water.

YAY! My only complaint is that my filter leaks like crazy! At first, it was ‘spraying’ water at the attachment and I had to wiggle it to get it realigned. A few days later and it started up again. My son-in-law removed it and reinstalled it and it worked great for about a month, then started spraying again.

Now, when I turn it on ‘filter’, 50% of the water comes out of the filter and 50% comes out through the tap. UGH! I have always been very careful to not use the filter to move the faucet left and right.

I live alone so, I am the only one who uses it unless my daughter and son-in-law are here. They have the same filter at their home and treat it with care BUT, their filter leaks too! My son-in-law got so fed up adjusting theirs that he finally fixed it with duct tape! It looks like crap but it works! LOL.

It is frustrating that it leaks so much! I have been dealing with it but have also been considering tossing it in the trash and buying a new one in hopes it functions better because I REALLY like the way it filters the water.

The only reason I would get another Brita is the price but, I have been looking at other brands. reading reviews, talking with a couple people I know who have ‘other’ filters, but can’t come to a decision.

Do I spend money on a filter that will probably leak after a few months of use, or do I go with one I am unfamiliar with and hope for the best? Has anyone else had an issue with theirs leaking a LOT? I need help!.

This filter has literally helped the quality of my life when I’m inside of my home so much I am so grateful for this brand. I have hard water and limestone build up and other different types of materials in my water and it really makes a difference in the quality of being able to use my water out of the faucet when I need to.

I don’t have to worry about fragments in my water when I use that or when I make something to eat when I need to make something to drink that calls for water. it by far saves me so much money not having to buy pre-bottled water at the store.

I live in the country so it also saves me gas so I don’t need to go to town to buy water. I’ve had my water filter installed for about a year now ever since I inherited my father’s property and I am so grateful that I was able to get a filter that was not super expensive that I could afford due to the fact that I’m in the process of remodeling and fixing up the home.

It’s definitely something that I think everybody should have regardless if they have hard water or not. My water tastes smoothe and clear. It used to smell weird aswell due to the limestone and I also have a system with this brand that helps filter the water in my shower as well as the pipes to my washer.

This brand just makes my home and my drinks and my food and my laundry and everything feel so much cleaner. My water is so clear when it comes out of the faucet. Thank you Brita!.

Honestly, this has been a nightmare for my husband and I. Install is painful. Three weeks of trying to adjust and still struggling with leaks. Flow is a huge problem. Takes forever to fill one cup and water runs out quickly.

It also changes the flow of your regular faucet. Overall, if I could redo, I wouldn’t purchase. It’s a headache. Also, customer service is a pain. Not responsive. Sending water filter replacements on day one incorrectly and then on top of that sending to the wrong address.

I don’t know if there are better ROs out there or if they are all a headache. I will be returning and purchasing a Berkey filter.

Lady in our church asked for help in fixing leaking water filtration system. this system. She is blind so she thought that the leak was coming from the 2nd stage membrane cartridge. Turns out it was the spigot for this system and the water was wicking down.

Very difficult to reinstall the spigot because of limited access. There is a nut one tightens against a white cylindrical plastic piece which applies pressure to a metal washer to clamp the spigot in place.

You’re going to need a 9/16 socket driver with a deep socket & a really long extension to tighten the nut. The problem is, when tightening the nut, the white plastic piece kept kicking out. This is a real pain when working in a confined space with limited access.

Horrible design. This RO system is one of the most complex systems I’ve seen for undersink filtration. Lines everywhere, including a drainline. I guess that’s the nature of an RO system compared to a much simpler absorptive system.

Anytime you change a cartridge you have to run water through the system for 24 hours. how wasteful.

In theory this Aquasana filter sounds like a great model. It’s theoretically easy to install and reasonably prices. In reality the filters are impossible to change because they consistently vary in size resulting in a poor seal causing leaking and air entering the line.

Aquasana support recommended adding a coin in the bottom of the filter to improve seal. The concern I have with this is it seems I am introducing additional elements to my water supply I am trying to filter.

And secondly with the inconsistency in filter size in takes a different coin or combination of coins each filter change to get the proper seal. For example, last change it was a quarter, the change before it was a nickel and quarter.

I have just lost two hours of my Saturday trying to change filters and have not been able to get a proper seal. So far I tried a quarter, a penny, a nickel and quarter, a penny and a quarter, two quarters, a quarter and a dime.

Hopefully I will find a combination soon that works so I can enjoy my weekend.

I am a builder. I have installed quite a few whole house and under counter systems. Customer service used be spot on. Not anymore. It took 3 weeks to get an under counter system. That was 3 weeks in transit between DHL and USPS.

Customer service was of no use in figuring out what was happening. And the system came with too short of tubing. If you mounted on either side then one tubing was going to be short. In most applications you can’t mount in the back due to supply and waste lines, dishwasher drain lines and faucet pull out lines.

Plus it is hard for an average homeowner to change the filters if it is in the back of the cabinet. So. You can’t install right out of the box anymore. You have to go to Lowes and get another length of tubing.

For another. 05 they could have saved me 1 1/2 hours and $7. 50. The escutcheon for the faucet is about 1/16″ bigger than an average hole in a sink or countertop. Even my soap dispenser has a big enough escutcheon to look beefy enough and cover the whole hole.

This is my most recent upgrade in water filtration. I kept forgetting to fill the large fridge filter and would be stuck without any filtered water let alone cold filtered water. After purchasing this, my life became so much easier.

It’s also a lot better for filling pet water bowls then my large fridge filter since I don’t have to worry about having enough in the reservoir. Delicious filtered water, at any temperature, on demand, what more can you say.

I use this product on my island kitchen sink faucet. It gives or provides refreshing water which I use for drinking and for making my coffee. Anytime when I make tea, I also use my filtered water. I can definitely tell the difference in the drinks.

To me, it is better than bottled water.

The main asset of the PUR filter is ease of use. It fits practically every faucet. It doesn’t require any plumbing work, and it works very well. I’ve been using the PUR filter for about 10 years. During that time I’ve gone through 4 housings and about 20 filter cartridges.

The filter light generally turns red long before the filter actually needs to be changed. The housing requires serious force to open it and change the filter. The housing is inexpensive, so it tends to break.

That’s just a cost of using this filter. Installation is quite easy, requiring only a pair of pliers. But the adapters are plastic and they tend to loosen up after a while and leak. Consequently, PUR has available a stainless steel universal adapter that they will send free of charge for the asking.

There’s a lot of talk about water filters, because it is very difficult for a consumer to determine whether or not they actually work as claimed. All I can say is that this filter produces noticeably better tasting water than straight tap water.

And I live in an area with pretty good city water. If you want a filter that works, is easy to install, easy to use, and fairly inexpensive to operate, the PUR filter is the only one I’ve ever found.

I used Brita for 4 years, had to keep buying new unit because it dripped so much to the point it was a constant drip when i used the filter. No matter how many times i tried, i could not get it to stop dripping.

I did some research and came across this one. It was very inexpensive so i decided to give it a try. It didnt take but 1-2 uses for me to absolutely love it. The water comes out in a waterfall type fashion, which i really like, it was easy to put on and NO DRIPS.

I highly recommend trying this. It is so much better than the Brita. I wish i would have switched a long time ago.

This filter was easy to install and the water tastes good. It is smaller than the last brand I used, but the water runs through the filter faster, and each filter filters 320 gallons. It would be nice if it had a gauge that showed how much water has been used, but I’m very satisfied.

Love the filters and faucet filter system. Just bought my second one as a reserve. The original system is still working now for 2 years. Great product! Better than all the others on the market!

Great tasting water from these. Easy to replace. I have used these for many years and the only issue I have is that the water flow can really suck. It goes a bit like this – replace filter and flow is good, replace next time and flow is bad.

I have found a ratio of 1 with good flow to 3 with bad flow. These filters are not cheap and it annoys me that the results vary so much. This 3 pack is a good price though. I do not know if they remove all they say and that is taken on trust.

If I ever come into some money I would love to have a water test commissioned to see what is actually being removed. I do recommend them as they take out any bad tastes and appear to work as advertised.

Seems totally legit. I’m not sure why some people thought they were fake. I observed the water going from cloudy to very very clean. It tastes very clean. The box and wrappers were correct. So I’m happy with the product.

In my case they were the real product. I think the price is somewhat fair considering the state of things. If your filter is starting to clog, run really hot water through it. That seems to clear my filters so they are usable again.

You might think that’s illogical but it works for me. The water comes out very clear after. It says it doesn’t filter microbes, so you will need a sawyer filter to use after. Always double filter with pur then sawyer if you can, if you want a good method.

I got this purifier for a couple of reasons. The first being because we have a well. This purifier made our water taste like the bottled kind! We knew we had minerals and sediments in our water because of all of the deposits on our faucets, shower and sinks.

This makes all the difference! Installation was extremely simple and changing the filter looks simple as well even though we haven’t had to do that yet! There’s an indicator light on the unit for when the filter needs to be changed.

The second reason I got it was to hopefully eliminate all of the bottled water bottles that we were recycling. So far this item has done exactly what we hoped for… improve the taste of our drinking water and help with the environment.

Would recommend you try it to see if you achieve the same results we have!.

I bought this filter as I have done many other types. My conclusion has been that these are worse for the environment than they help. Once these degrade or break, they are not recycleable. They cannot be recycled as plastic or metal, so to the landfill they go.

The filters you have to buy don’t do much to help the environment either. Sorry to say I don’t have a solution, but if someone does please share. This particular faucet filter eventually eroded from my hardwater.

There were holes from the faucet attachment where non filtered water spewed out. There was residue of calcified white stuff around the rectangular part of the filter. Not sure the solution, but this is not it to lowering the use of plastic when the filters are non-recycleable too.

Convenient, does the job, easy to service, but has two problems. One is a minor annoyance: the “filter indicator” light may not reset when you put in a new filter. When you remove the old filter, a little plastic tab in a slot inside the filter compartment is supposed to pop up, but it can get stuck in the slot.

The tab is about 1/2 inch wide and 1/16 inch thick, and it’s at the same end of the filter compartment as the plastic fitting that engages the outlet at the end of the filter. Look in with a flashlight and you’ll see.

It’s easy to free up the tab–gently press the tip of a blunt table knife against it and try to wiggle the tab back and forth a time or two, and let the knife slip off the tab, and the tab will pop up.

Easy to get the hang of it; works for me. The more serious problem is that water pressure that is too high can damage the body of the filter, causing leaks. Our pressure is sometimes higher than 100 PSI, way too high.

My crude workaround is to turn the valve on the filter just far enough that only some water flows through the filter, while most is pouring out of the faucet. This reduces the pressure that the filter itself sees.

Takes some practice to get the hang of it, but has has prolonged the life of the unit for more than a year. But be careful–just one exposure to high pressure lasting a few seconds is enough to make it leak, and when that happens, you’re sunk.

Why don’t I just get a plumber to install a water pressure reducer/regulator? That’s a different story.

Actually , Didn’t work for 2 bathroom faucets. Came with 4 nozzle tips. And they were all too big. Needed a smaller nozzle for a Moer brand faucet and didn’t work. Tried it on a generic brand and although 1 nozzle tip fit.

the adapter filter didn’t snap into place due to the nozzle being tightened and hidden slightly that the adapter for the filter wouldn’t fit. So Just used it in my kitchen. Yes I agree with others that it drips out when it’s on the filter mode but I guess that’s the way it is.

Color is fine. Light turns green when active for filtering and when you move the switch , Light turns off to go on regular tap water.

I got this because my teens are picky about what they will drink. Even though I have 1,000 different flavor packets they will NOT touch tap water. Their water must be bottled water, i got sick of wasting rhe money so thats where this comes in.

It hooked directly to my kitchen faucet (I’m a woman and it took me maybe five minutes) and it has the ability to filter a lot of water between changes. I already had the pitcher for in the fridge but that thing tool forever to fill and my teens are also lazy, so filling it is a chore to them.

With my new addition they can easily get filter water any time they want without the difficult task of filling a pitcher! It has saved me money over buying bottled water and saved me tons of recycling.

Its so simple to use and doesn’t get in the way of when I’m trying to rinse dishes either! I guess it also makes me feel a little better knowing my children are drinking filtered water as well! The water comes out tasting great, no hint of chemicals or anything and again saves me time and money.

Definitely worth it for the busy parent!.

This water filter was so easy to install, it took all of (maybe) 2 minutes. Remove one piece from the faucet, replace with piece from kit, snap filter into place. Ta-da! You’re done! Once that’s done you can start enjoying filtered water almost immediately.

We usually buy 2 or 3 cases of bottled water a week but since we’ve had the PUR filter we’ve just been filling up a pitcher and keeping filtered water that way. There is a definite taste difference between regular tap water and the PUR filtered water.

Tap water taste dirty but once it has gone through the filter it taste just like regular bottled water. It is also a lot cheaper and better for the environment than using bottled water! I for sure recommend this filter for everybody.

(Plus, it came in a cute real color, which I love!).

I kind of had to laugh at the reviews that complained about the lid falling off while they poured so I conducted an experiment after I’d been using it for days without any issue of the sort. When my nephew came over, I asked him to pour a glass of water and just as I suspected! He took all 5 of his fingers and wrapped them around the handle, not using his thumb to hold the top the way I do.

I’d like to think that mystery is solved. People who had issues with the lid falling off hold the pitcher like a child, simply put LOL. As for my use of the thing, I have a Moccamaster coffee maker that requires filtered water so that was my main reason for purchasing this pitcher.

I mostly drink tap water but occasionally pour a glass from here when I want one that’s room temperature. When the filter that came with it needs to be replaced, I intend on buying the long-lasting ones that can go for 6 months.

In my opinion, it’s a good buy and works as advertised!.

No more Brita for me. I have had 3 Brita pitchers in my possession so far, and 2 out of those 3 pitchers leaked from the top. I will be returning my 3rd one. Only one pitcher has been functional so far, and in addition, the Longlast filters that I bought do not last long.

This is my detailed experience: The first 6-cup pitcher that I had bought 2 years ago (I do not remember the model) leaked and I managed to exchange it at the store for a different model that actually worked.

However, after 2 years, I wanted to get a bigger pitcher, as our 6-cup pitcher did not suffice for my family. We have a lead problem in our neighborhood. Only the Longlast filter is effective against lead, so I bought a couple of them a year ago.

Despite my initial problems with the very first 6-cup Brita pitcher that I had owned, I decided to buy a 10-cup pitcher because I already had Longlast filters at home. However, this 10-cup filter leaks too.

By “leaks”, I mean that whenever I pour myself a glass of water, the water that is in the reservoir (therefore not filtered) leaks from the cracks on the side of the pitcher (onto the counter) AND gets into the “flap” with the filtered water (which means that I end up drinking unfiltered tap water).

Originally They Were Good. I Got Replacement Filters Every One, Water SHOOTS Thru The Filter Splashing All Over. Taste Is Nasty. By The Speed At Which It Shoots Thru, It’s Not Filtering Anything. Taste Is Nasty And It Says No Chlorine Taste.

Well There’s A Lot Of That. These Have Changed To Garbage. Zero Pitcher With Filters Is No Good Either. Water Still Tastes Nasty With Them Too. It’s Not Filtering Chlorine And I Believe More. Worst Filter Ever.

Even My Old Filter Worked Better Than The New One. Seriously.

Have been using these in my RV for years without any problems. Recently purchased a new PUR filter. Inside the packing was a note from the manufacturer stating that “certain parts” have been deleted in the manufacturing process.

A quick examination revealed the O-ring for the cartridge was deleted. After 6 months the filter assembly has now developed a leak due to the filter cartridge not sealing correctly in the housing! Apparently PUR decided to save a few pennies by deleting the O-ring.

Stupid decision.

That’s a good deal. 2 filter last about 6 months. Much cheaper and environment friendly than purchasing water bottles. Water tastes great, it completely removes the taste of tap water which that what I dislike most, it also removes 98% or so of chemicals.

After receiving notification from our water company that higher levels of PFAS were detected in our water, I embarked on a search to find a water filtration system to protect our family. Our water company is building a new facility with a new filtration system, but it won’t be operational for a couple of years.

After researching online and checking reviews by both consumers and Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase this system. It was easy to install, fit easily under my sink, and after a quick adjustment to the water feed to tighten, was leak free.

Initially my sink water stopped working, we discovered that sediment had built up in my regular faucet aerator which needed to be cleared (having nothing to do with this system. ) Once that was done, the water flowed perfectly and we were in business.

My only suggestion for BBB is to include all of the specifications for this system in the product description. It does filter out 2 of the most common PFAS (PFOS and PFOA). Also, the system comes with a shiny chrome faucet, which does not match my other kitchen faucet.

I discovered that Brondell does offer one other style of faucet, and also three different finishes (chrome, brushed nickel and antique bronze. ) When I contacted them to inquire if I could trade in my (still uninstalled)chrome for the brushed nickel, they said no, but offered me a 60% discount on purchasing the brushed nickel, which I did.

It looks beautiful and was well worth the added expense.

carrying heavy bottles of water in and out of the house started to take it’s toll on my back, so I needed an affordable under the sink solution. I installed this system myself and it was fairly easy but I know nothing about plumbing, yet the Youtube videos helped a lot.

I installed it in May of 2021 and got the red light warning as soon as April. We live in Central Texas in an area known for its hard water. Still, I was amazed that the filter lasted until Brondell Company got the replacement filters in after having them stuck at port like most things these days.

The red light was just a warning but the entire time we waited for new filters, the current ones kept doing their job well. You can smell the chlorine in our water so I know the are working becaus the water still tastes and smells good.

I just placed an order for my replacement filters and the videos on removing and installing them look easy, so I’m not worried. What I like about these filters is that it keeps the minerals in the water withjo9ut leaching them out.

Most of all, this system is sleek, attractive, and fits under my small cabinet space. Best of all, it was the most affordable and the filters definitely last 1 year, if not a bit more! Thank you!.

This filter system has been great. Easy installation, excellent flow rate. I ordered the optional (separate) brushed nickel faucet to match my main faucet and it’s nice also. I do wish that was an option instead of discarding the chrome one it came with and ordering that one separately but it all works well.

A very good filtration system so that was the main reason I chose it. The added expense and waste of the default faucet gets a one star ding.
