20 Best Water Jug For Sports (2023 Updated)

Bought this for work and the first one arrived damaged. Looked like it had been smashed, possibly in route. It entire neck of the bottle was broken off, so I don’t know how that reflects durability. \n\nThat being said, I had a new one immediately shipped to me at no cost.

That one has worked very well for me and I’ve had no issues. I do recommend a wash before use. \n\nThe cossie is very well made and keeps the bottle insolated. I’ve had cold water stay cold for close to 2 hrs.

Might last longer but I usually finish by then. If you take it off, the bottle does have measurements on the side, which is very helpful. It would be great if it had it where you could easily see it, rather then take the whole cover off.

\n\nAlso, the bottles does obnoxiously whistle when you drink from it. This can be avoided if you use a large straw (bendy silicone works best for closing the bottle) or basically poor the water into your mouth rather then seal your lips around the mouth peice.

Otherwise, it definitely sounds like one of those fake bird whistles. You will get looked at.

The bottle lasted almost a year and then it exploded out a small chunk of itself after a drop from waist height while full. The plastic might not quite be up to the task of such a large capacity. Overall, it’s a good bottle.

Well-balanced, carried well, looked cool and water tasted fine after a break-in period. Some of the threading was coming loose on the sleeve even though I never removed it. The handle was nice. The bottle did not leak.

The mouthpiece’s stopper was a bit susceptible to fracture stress, but mine did not split in a critical spot that affected the seal, luckily. \n\nMaybe not reliable enough for the price, but I might buy another one.

I liked it overall.

I must be honest, I was hesitant to buy a bottle than costs this much and thought it couldn’t be that much better than the usual ‘keg’ bottles. \nHowever, I am glad to admit I was wrong. Just holding the bottle you can tell the type of plastic it thick.

If you squeeze in an attempt to ‘crinkle’ the bottle like the average water bottle, only the very middle section pops in slightly. \nThe handle is sturdy and doesn’t bend when carrying around. \nThe jacket really does keep water cool and the wrist strap is strong and stable even when at full weight.

\nThe lid does make a whistling sound when drinking heavily due to the air hole which stops pressure pulling the bottle inwards when drinking. (Think ‘sucking’ in the air from an empty one-use water bottle.

The bottle collapses in on itself, right? That air hole stops that type of pressure building up by letting air go into the bottle). While this can be ’embarrassing’ for some if you slow down your drinking, it stops, and it isn’t super loud anyway.

\nNeedless to say, despite the strength, you shouldn’t be throwing this around anyway. I’ve only had it at home during the lockdown and I haven’t been super cautious with it, but it’s totally fine. I knocked it once when empty, off the kitchen counter, and it bounced.

Can’t say what would happen at full weight, but I have a feeling it may be better protected with the ‘jacket’ on. \n\nOverall, glad I spent a little more than I usually would to find a bottle that lasts rather than making my way through multiple bottles and doubling the overall cost.

What can I say that I haven’t already said before? This is my second Iron Flask bottle. My first one did everything I could ever expect out of a bottle. It kept my drinks ice cold for more than 18 hours.

Around 9 AM, almost every morning, I fill my bottles with ice and then water, or more accurately, Monster Zero energy drink. That lasts me well past midnight, when I refill my bottle which usually still has half the ice left.

That’s really great performance. I expect nothing less with my new bottle.

I received three different lids. I thought I was getting a straw like my friend has. But, I don’t have the lid for it, or the straw. But, I love it nonetheless. 😀

Love it! Attractive, keeps beverages cold and ice frozen for a LONG time. (Haven’t tried it with hot beverages.)

Works for Iced Teas and Fruits, lemon or limeade and cold filtered water for the beverages, non-BPA plastic, so far I like them. they are a bit tall for my old refrigerator, but I arrange/maneuver things so both the bottles will fit.

( need new fridge. ). Used everyday nice for my gallons of beverages, for the sun teas I steep in glass gallons then transfer. I noted that the bottles do handle high temp. water/tea not boiling. I sanitize them at a quick boiling from the kettle and that’s too hot for the plastic.

Great! I needed something smaller and lighter than the 3 gallon containers I use to bring Reverse Osmosis water home from the store. This has been really helpful!

A few reviews mentioned a metal taste but I’m extremely sensitive to tastes in my water and haven’t experienced any at all. I hand washed mine with mild (I use free and clear dish) soap and water. I also am putting very pure water in mine.

The lids all work well and I find myself using the flip top the most. Also, someone mentioned the color coming off in the dishwasher but, clearly they didn’t read the bottom of the bottle: “Hand Wash Only”.

If you don’t care and just wanna run it in the DW I’m sure the premium stainless steel it’s made with can take a beating but yeah, the color would come off if you repeatedly run it through. I follow the instructions and hand wash it.

The wide mouth makes it SO much easier to wash than my other brands! Things I love: -Wide base of this 32oz size prevents it from tipping constantly like my other brands. -Wide mouth for easy hand washing/drying out -3 different lids included lets you pick a favorite or change them out equally.

(The straw lid includes 2 straws) -Flexible, bendy handle on the flip lid, and ability to hook all lids onto something -Color (Dark Rainbow isn’t really a rainbow but purples/maroons-very classy) -Large capacity but not TOO large.

I like this 32oz size. -insulated and keeps things cold Cons: -if you drop it repeatedly on cement, it eventually dents. (Haha!) But seriously, this thing is strong. -it gets heavy when completely full I got this in exchange for an honest review.

receieved this water bottle in exchange for a review. first thing I was impressed with was that it includes 3 different lids–all in the same package and for a really good price. I tend to prefer a straw lid, but having the clasp lid and the twist lid give me the opportunity to use the bottle in ways that I wouldn’t if I only had a straw lid.

I also hate having to track down and purchase accessories separately, so having them all available from the start is awesome. A couple of things to note — the straw mouthpiece doesn’t go past 90*. so it just sticks straight up.

Not my favorite design but not a deal breaker. I also noticed that at times it seemed like there was more resistance to getting liquid out than I would have expected – like I had created a vacuum on accident and had to work harder to take a drink.

Not sure if that’s user error or a design issue, but the bottle itself is high quality enough that I’m willing to try and sort it out on my end. Didn’t love the branding/logo on the bottle but that’s just my preference.

The motivational sticker that came with the package was really cute and I did put it on the bottle right away :).

I’ve had this water bottle for a few weeks. It’s basically gone everywhere with me. It holds ice well when kept out of the sun. I’m a big fan of the 40oz holding as I’m a big water drinker. It came with 3 different lids, I’ve only used the flip top and the straw lid.

I like the straw lid best. all kids have a nice sized handle for easy carrying on walks etc. My only “gripe” (and one that stands for almost every brand of water bottle), is that I wish it was designed to fit in the standard car cup holder.

I would also mention that if you live in a warmer climate and spend a lot of time in the sun, tId opt for a lighter color bottle as itay help to keep your beverage colder, longer. All and all it’s a good water bottle that I will continue to use.

it’s holding up well considering I use it daily!.

I first switched to Polar Breakaway water bottles when attempting to downsize to a 20-ounce size. Two 20-ounces of hydration wasn’t really enough for one ride, so since I liked the Breakaway bottle as much as I did, I went ahead and got two 24-ounce bottles.

What I particularly like is the strong lid that screws on positively and tightly, the spout that gives generous fluids quickly, and the correct bottle wall thickness that can draw air back into the bottle without waiting long after it has somewhat collapsed from the vacuum created.

It’s an excellent weight, holds tightly in the bottle cages, looks great, and my hydration drinks aren’t contaminated with unwanted flavor. Now I carry one 24-ounce and one 20-ounce which is just enough for me.

Unfortunately, one of my favorite bottles for sports has been “cheapened” some. The cap is rough and the part one drinks from has raised letters or bumps on it which actually scratches my lips when I take a drink.

The holder or handle is rough and made with an unpolished or cheaper version than I’ve ever owned. It’s abrasive to hold. It isn’t smooth on the edges which is crucial when lugging it on runs and aerobics.

This product has been reduced in quality which is a shame. It almost acts like it could be a knock off. I’ve used this brand for years. I just bought two of them with regret.

These bottles are just about perfect. They are attractive, lightweight, and insulated. The pop-up top is easy to use. There is no straw to worry about cleaning and no awkward spout to position when drinking.

They are easy to fill and clean. The grab loop is so useful, and the sports cap attaches very easily and keeps the top clean. I’ve had my 24 oz. bottle for 3 years and it’s still like new. I take it everywhere.

I just purchased another and also, 2 12 oz. bottles, one as a gift. There were no problems with ordering or shipping. Hydrapak got this right. They should advertise more 🙂 !.

For what this cup seems to be designed to do (hold a lot of water and keep it cold for a long time), it does a fantastic job. As a test I filled it two-thirds full of water and then filled the rest with ice and let it sit all afternoon and overnight.

By the next morning, there was still ice in the cup! Capacity This cup holds a surprising amount of liquid, relative to most other cups in this general range. While this is generally pretty helpful, I noticed that filling it “only” halfway can have a substantial impact on how long liquids stay hot or cold.

In other words, if you only fill it halfway, all that space inside the cup might not allow the liquid to stay as hot or cold as if you filled it entirely. The shape of the cup also allows the bottom to fit into car cup holders, however because it flares out (to hold more), it might not rest as far down in the cup holder as you might like.

Construction The overall construction is very high quality and the powder coat on the outside seems quite durable and scuff-proof. There’s no ridges or seams inside the cup so cleanup of the cup itself is nice and easy.

The lid is held in place by a double-ridged gasket (nice touch), and the portion you sip through slides open and closed and appears to be held in place by friction. However, that sipping portion of the lid doesn’t appear to be removable from the lid for cleaning under that slide (though I haven’t researched this) I wish it had an anti-slip rubber on the bottom as well.

This is, without a doubt, the best water bottle that I have ever used. The wide mouth allows you to add ice cubes, sliced fruit, or whatever else you desire to your water, and the top screws on tightly so you can bring it anywhere with you without worrying about spills.

The flexible silicone handle also makes it easy to carry around in your hand, although I would probably recommend getting a bottle sling if you want to attach it to a bike or something. For such a huge capacity, the size really isn’t that bulky, and the fact that you don’t need to refill very often makes it super convenient and simple to stay hydrated.

However, what really amazed me about the HydroFlask was how well it insulates my drinks! I can throw in a few ice cubes, fill it up the rest of the way, and the liquid inside will stay cold for hours as long as the lid is screwed on.

I’ve tested it by leaving it at room temperature for over twelve hours, and there was still frozen ice inside when I checked. The only downside I’ve noticed is that if you fill it up too much and there is a lot of ice inside, a vacuum somehow forms inside the bottle that makes the lid very difficult to unscrew.

I’m not sure how or why this happens, but it probably has something to do with the air at the top of the bottle becoming denser at a lower temperature. That said, it’s not that difficult to avoid, and the fact that it happens at all is a great testimony to how tight the seal on this bottle is.

Grab one, you won’t regret it!.

My Hydro Flask is the best water bottle I have ever had. With all the different colors and sizes to choose from, I had an easy time finding the one I liked most. They are easy to take with you wherever you go as well.

Personalization wise, they are very good with stickers. You can put on whatever stickers you want to make it more personal to you. I have put stickers on mine and none of them are even close to coming off.

Just make sure when you put one on, you want it on for good. Another thing I like is how there are many different types of lids that you can use and switch out whenever you want. I have been staying hydrated ever since I got my Hydro Flask because I can carry water with me everywhere I go.

The accessibility of a Hydro Flask is just what anyone would need in a water bottle. Most Hydro Flasks range from 30-50 dollars. Which to me, is quite a lot for something you are just going to be putting water in.

But let me tell you now, it is worth the money. In the mornings, when I put water and ice in my Hydro Flask, I can leave it somewhere for the whole day and when I come back for it, the ice is still there.

Or when it is cold and I’m wanting some hot chocolate, I could bring it in my Hydro Flask and it would stay warm for a really long period of time. None of my other water bottles or containers can do that.

The Hydro Flask that I have now has lasted me 3 years and is still in almost perfect condition. The only reason it wouldn’t be in perfect condition is because I drop it every once in a while and it has some scratches and a couple dents.

If I was more careful, it would look brand new. Hydro Flasks are definitely worth the money and I would recommend everyone get one.

This bottle is great for people with larger hands but is kind of a pain to clean since water goes through the handle

I bought the “No Limits” half-gallon jug because I fell in love with the design and then bought this cow sleeve in addition because I knew that the jug itself was going to sweat profusely. I absolutely love the sleeve, the pattern and the functionality of it, but it’s counterproductive against some of the features that the jug itself has to offer, which I have issues with.

I would give this a 3. 5 stars if I could, but decided to round up because I love the jug and sleeve separately, just not as much together, and the company seems to have great customer service having answered my questions via Instagram insanely quick.

The sleeve itself is great, I love that you zip it up around the bottle for security and that it provides an adjustable carrying strap, a key ring, a secret pocket for IDs and money, and a place to hold your phone.

The clips for the straps seem durable and sturdy, and so does the strap itself. The stitching of the sleeve is also extremely detailed and of high-quality. Some of the things that I don’t like. The sleeve covers the graphics of the bottle.

This can be expected, as it’s a SLEEVE, but it’s still unfortunate. More importantly, the sleeve covers the motivational time markers AND the water intake markers, which is one of the main reasons I bought the jug in the first place.

In order to track my water intake in MLs (as the bottle is in MLs and NOT OZs) I’d have to unzip and take off the sleeve completely, or at least 3/4s of the way at the very least. I’d love to see future sleeves have a little cutout to be able to see the water tracker feature.

Another con about this sleeve is that I don’t think that my phone fits in the “X” elastic holder that the sleeve features. I’d have to try really hard, and did for a bit, but ultimately decided to just carry my phone instead of trying to get it in the holder.

I’m not sure why the alternative sleeves with mesh pockets and zippers aren’t offered anymore, but I think that the other design is a lot better than the “X” elastic idea. I also think that more sleeve designs would be nice, as options are limited.

I loved the graffiti sleeve that they advertise on sponsored Instagram ads, but it’s unavailable everywhere. I went with the cow print, but it wasn’t my first choice. Overall, I understand that it’s a sleeve for the bottle, but was kind of disappointed in the counter-productivity of it against the bottle itself as well as the limited prints and functionality of some of the advertised features.

I think that theres room for improvement (such as making a tiny window to track water intake and reverting back to the vertical pocket design) to make the sleeve and bottle combo even better. I hope to see more patterns and styles available in the future.

I’m still satisfied with my purchase, also because the jug itself sweats HORRIBLY without the sleeve and the sleeve stops all condensation from leaking completely, but I wish there was more functionality and color patterns and options available.

I took this water bottle and sleeve to the gym the other day, and it was nice because I could put my keys and earbuds on the key ring and not have to worry about carrying anything except the jug with the carrying strap and my phone, sine I didn’t feel like struggling to put it in the elastic “X” just to take it back out three minutes later.

I still highly recommend getting a sleeve if you have a H2OCapsule bottle in order to prevent sweating and add an extra measure of protection, there’s also nice features like the key ring and carrying strap, but I hope that the company makes improvements to their sleeve designs and inventory.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get another sleeve in the future that reflects these changes and in a pattern I feel more closely reflects me(:

I bought this for my Taurus G3C and it fits PERFECTLY! One gripe is that these are aluminum and painted black which are prone to scratches! I remedied this by removing the paint with sandpaper and it now looks fantastic! Makershot should actually produce these without painting them in my opinion! Pick one up if you want to accessories your “piece”!.

Good quality bottle, quite expensive which is why I only bought 1. The straw could be longer as my brother has to open the bottle to drink the last few gulps of water. Would gave got 5 stars if the price was more affordable and the straw longer.

One of the few heart rate monitors that allows you to manually set a zone above your maximum heart rate something you need to do if you want to measure heart rate above the maximum say when you are doing HIIT.

The newer models which connect to the internet tend to lock you into fixed zones based on your age and only record heart rate in the say red zone but not when you move above that zone.

Bought this only a week ago, first used yesterday. Had it outside yesterday during pond hockey. Worked fine the first few times I used it. After about 10 – 15 mins of being outside, the button no longer released the lid.

you’d have to pull the lid away from the button hold, and then it would spring open. But if the button isn’t being actively pressed, it won’t release at all. So to use this product, you have to follow these steps: 1.

Use one hand to hold the water bottle. 2. With second hand, push & hold the release button. 3. With third hand, pull on the spout lid, and it will spring open. Unfortunately I only have 2 hands, so this product is now useless to me.

The release button is a neat concept but it’s garbage & apparently fails after 3 or 4 uses.

Water remained cold all day until finished for the two jugs taken on our trip with only a couple inches of ice put in in the morning. The fixed position handle with the hooks is the only reason for removing a star, it makes carrying and positioning awkward and uncomfortable.

Over all a fantastic jug with pretty colors (Cerise and Royal). The teardrop mouth piece is perfect too! It allows airflow for smooth drinking from the spout. Nice seal too. The rubber side/drinking handle is comfy for drinking.

Would certainly buy another one without hesitation. It’s great having all of the required water intake at your fingertips, will def use for work too.

Such an easy and convenient bottle to carry. My 8 year old takes this to school for the day. While the water stays cool throughout the day, the ice does not last. We fill it up with ice and cold water around 7:30am and by the time I pick him up, the ice has already melted.

Unsure if it was melted before lunch or not but the ice in our igloo brand bottle doesn’t melt from sun up to sun down.

Really disappointed in the DURAPRENE™ finish. It is not strong at all, every little nicks and scratch show up really easily. One trip with it and it looks old and beat up already. Same for my other one that has the fake wood finish.

the DURAPRENE™ finish is peeling off like crazy after less than one year gently carrying it. Not worth the price. I have a few of there products, they do a good job keeping drinks cold (or hot) but other than that it’s not great at all.

Also the Sport Jug unlike the oher one always have a bit of a weird smell no matter how often I wash it. Will not purchase again.

I’ve been reviewing other brands and found a functional one (with straw, cool printed sports carry case with strap, etc) in the market but it’s not a brand I trust. I have several Corkcicle products and love them all, I decided to check out the site to see if maybe there was something comparable and so excited to see this Sports Jug, but with a heavy half-gal carrying around at gym (not to mention carpel tunnel symptoms) to carry this everywhere I go; having no straw is a deal breaker.

I’ve been reviewing other brands and found a functional one (with straw, cool printed sports carry case with strap, etc) in the market but it’s not a brand I trust. I have several Corkcicle products and love them all decided to check out the site to see if they are in the market with the half-gallons and excited to see, but with a heavy half-gal carrying around at gym and everywhere I go, the straw is a deal breaker.

Plus, for some straws help the water consumption go by faster, which overall helps many reach their goals of water per day!.

Let me begin on what I like about this company. I love cold water and looked on google how to make water extra extra cold (yes I know how dumb that sounds) but anyways this popped up so I checked out the company.

I liked the look of the product but was shell shocked at the price. Because of the I started out with a smaller one I believe the 32 ounce sipper one pink with no straw. I got it and lol it took all of about 1-2 weeks before I shelled out well over 100 for the gallon with my name on it.

And I’m not that kind of person to spend ANYTHING on a water bottle. So let me tell you why! The design is beautiful the color on point the quality truly worth it and IT KEPT MY ICE WATER ICE CUBES FROZEN for days!! Ice lovers will know what I mean it’s just worth every single penny.

Well a couple weeks after I had ordered it the support thing attached to the straw would not suction anymore. it was weird and since there was no customer service # I contacted them via there customer service email.

I had given them my order number and expect a response soon. 2 weeks later I was drinking the water without a top pretty angry I had spent all that $ and not gotten a response!! Well right before I was about to dispute the transaction my partner looked through his email and had seen that he had gotten a reply but it was in the SPAM folder! I actually felt really bad for being angry at them! Actually they had responded right away and even though they didn’t have the lid supper thingy in the same color I could care less I kinda like the black on pink better! So yea my overall review is yes get this bang for your buck good quality company strong 💪 company in customer service seems to care about customer satisfaction excellent product.

After the fact I looked in there faq’s where they answer questions you might have and give you a direct email for there customer service (I’m assuming manager). Now I know that’s tons of sugar and where’s the spice right? Well the reason I gave it 4 stars is because it seems some customer Sevice it outsourced and even though it says they are based in Florida and they warehouses there (which is true) the actual product is from China.

CHINA and I’m not a fan of customer Sevice coming from another country but the biggest thing in the world (in regards to products) is the fact that the product came from China. It’s just disappointing especially because there products are very very expensive.

I hope in the future they pull production in China and try to invest in our fellow Americans. Honestly I would pay more and not take the 10% off the company advertises. They have a bunch of other products that I would like to like a filter that attaches to the straw of your water bottle ❤️ Great idea! Now double thinking it now knowing it’s China made.

I know that this company has a bottom line I get it but stop cutting corners by getting your products from China :/.

I bought a water bottle from Coldest. Got a water bottle that had the engraving Degenerate on it. I had to return that bottle to them. They reprocessed my bottle order. Didn’t add my engraving from my original order.

I had to ask to get that refunded. I thought I would get a discount or a apology gift for taking my time to fix their mistake. Nope. So if you get the wrong order do not expect to be compensated for returning everything and fixing their mistake.

Let me start out by saying that I own many Yeti products. I own coffee mugs, water bottles, and various other cups. The Coldest Water bottles keep drinks colder for longer than Yeti bottles do. I have a 32oz bottle that I take to work with me.

I work anywhere from 12-18 hours during a shift, and my drink is always cold even after my shift ends. I also bought The Coldest Water ankle/foot wrap when I had achilles tendonitis, and it helped me alot too.

Great bottle. Very ergonomic design from material to grip. leakproof, easy to clean and very convenient. Highly recommend for sport or even casual use.

Love feel of bottle – easy to wash and good size! Only slight downside is little hole at top when drink sometimes a bit of water comes out of there too.

my son plays U11 ice hockey and has to wear a full-face cage to play and train. usually the players use special hockey water bottles with an extended ‘straw’ so that they can drink through the face cage.

after watching them it seems they have to tilt their heads back to get the water or turn the bottle upside down and drink that way; both of which work fine. but I thought there must be a better way. after trawling the internet I came across this bottle and thought I’d give it a go.

it works perfectly. the curved straw is great because he can now drink without tilting his head or having his view of the game blocked by his arm while he holds his other bottle upside down. and as all hockey players know-never take you eye off the puck! now he doesn’t need to, so I’m happy to recommend this bottle for junior ice hockey players.

meh. plastic is very, very pliable (hard to control the squeeze, getting red hydrating fluid all over me. Top is very stiff, om the other hand, making it difficult to open. Top doesn’t screw completely shut tight without grunting on it.

Not a big fan of the way the caps screw on and of not smooth like my old water bottles caps seem chinsey .

The design is flawless except the plastic bottle is so soft and pliable that to drink from it you have to grab it from the cap or you will squirt water all over yourself

I have to admit I was disappointed when I first open my delivery for this item. Firstly, I did expect its packaging presentation to be a little better, it was just a plastic bag. But to review the product, the plastic seems robust, and the colours are very striking.

The auto – seal is brilliant, its exactly way I bought it. I wanted something I could throw in my bag with no fears, and this does this. It is a little annoying you have to keep it pressed while drinking, and I would like an auto-seal lock, but it does the job.

I did think this models cap came completely undone for washing, and it doesn’t. This is a let down, because I feel it could harbour germs. This is the main reason it gets a three and not a four star rating.

I’ve purchased lunch boxes from HelloGreen that haven’t let me down, so after trying and failing numerous drink bottles cheap and expensive from other stores, stumbling upon these at such a great price was exactly what I was hoping for.

They look amazing and true to their selling point, don’t leak at all! I’ve brought two so far for my school aged kids (rough boys by the way!) and I’m definitely coming back for every member of our family!.

Love this one handed drink bottle. Dropped the lid of my first one and had to hunt down this one so bought two – thanks Everten for stocking this product. Best drink bottle ever. Great for the car, easy to drink from, doesn’t leak in my bag and goes fine in the dishwasher☺.

I bought this mainly for the insulation, color, and size. The color and size are great (it matches my matte bike better than any other bottle in my opinion and fits in the bottle cage with adequate clearance).

The insulation is good, but not great. It doesn’t keep my beverage cold for very long when I’m out on a 25+ mile bike ride in moderate weather. However, it is comparable to other insulated bottles. I feel that all insulated bottles are lacking in this area.

At least I haven’t found one that meets my expectations. I have a love/hate relationship with the lid. I love that it seals well (I haven’t had it leak), but I wish it were easier to use (especially with one hand) like some other lids.

I finally bought some fresh new Podium bottles to replace the three that I had which I estimate I’ve rotated between using everyday for the last 9-10 years (clearly I loved the bottle). Much to my disappointment upon receiving the new bottles, they were nothing like my original bottles and the design has gone TERRIBLY downhill since I first purchased the Camelbak Podium bottle.

All indentations and ridges that used to be around the outside-middle of the bottle and lid for enhanced grip during everyday or wet conditions had been replaced with a smooth, slippery surface. The locking feature on the lid is now a hard, sharp plastic that is difficult to grip and turn, as opposed to the more rounded and softer locking mechanism from before.

But the worst part is the awful new spout design which squirts a wider stream of water than before and does not shoot in a straight or even flow. I’ve always drank from these bottles by tipping the bottle down above my open mouth and squirting water in, but when doing that with the new Podium bottles, water mists and splashes all over my face and chin, forcing me to wipe my mouth area after every single use which is terribly annoying.

Safe to say I went back to my 10-year-old bottles!! When I ordered my 3 new bottles, only 2 came in the package and I had to work with customer service to get my third bottle shipped. just further disappointment in the apparent state of the company/brand.

I previously had a Podium insulated bottle, which worked great. The Podium Ice Series works even better at keeping my water cold or cool for long rides in the heat. My observations: Podium un-insulated bottle kept water cold for about 7-8 miles, then cool for another 5 or so miles.

After 15 miles, the water was warm. The Podium insulated bottle kept water cold or cool for about 20-25 miles. The Podium Ice bottle keeps my water cold (or very cool) for my entire ride of 40-50 miles! If I put a few cubes of ice into the bottle, then it will be cold for the entire ride, even if it’s 85-90°F.

Great for the summer heat!.

This is mixed for me. The jug is big, beautiful, & keeps my water cold. However, the description was misleading & it’s heavy. I purchased this because I get this unquenchable thirst when I’m breastfeeding.

The description talked about being able to sip the water from a straw. At checkout, the site told me I got a free hydro straw. So i think it’s reasonable to say, I thought I would be able to drink from a straw.

Not the case. The straw is inside the jug and does nothing more than slow down the flow of water when you drink from the spout. The free straw that came with my order was not for the stainless steel jug.

It won’t fit in the spout. With water in the jug, it’s very heavy and the jug is big. I only have 1 hand available while I breastfeed so I can’t drink out of this making it completely useless to me. I didn’t realize the straw issue until after I washed all the parts & went to put it together so I can’t return it.

Beyond the straw issue, a customer service rep told me, while not recommended, the sleeve would fit so I bought one. I just needed the sleeve for the strap to carry the jug upstairs because I’m also carrying a newborn & sometimes a toddler.

Well the sleeve didn’t fit. So this was a disaster of a purchase for me. A lot of wasted money. That being said, the jug itself is very pretty, holds a lot of water, & keeps my water cold. It just wasn’t a fit for me.

I’m usually not a fan of stainless steel cups/tumblers so I went back and forth whether to buy this one and i’m soooo glad I did!! Its amazing! I’m an ice eater, so a jug that keeps makes my ice last hours out in the sun is definitely a WIIINNN for me!!! Now don’t get me wrong I love my regular hydrojugs but sadly they just don’t do the job for me.

I fill my jugs up to the top with bullet shaped ice cubes and even with the sleeve my ice will be melted completely within 3 hours. I also am loving how there isn’t a bunch of condensation on the outside of the jug compared to regular jug.

I used to hate how the sleeves would get soaked in water from the jugs sweating, and with the sleeve being damp/wet, it would pick up dirt as compared to a dry sleeve. THE ONLY THING I WOULD LIKE IS TO HAVE A SLEEVE FOR THE STAINLESS STEEL JUG JUST BECAUSE I MISS HAVING THE CUTE LITTLE POCKETS TO HOLD MY PHONE.

WOULD THE GLASS JUG SLEEVES FIT THE STAINLESS STEEL JUGS???.

This was the most horriblr order I have ever purchased online. the straw isn’t like it’s pictured online. the straw doesn’t even stay. It’s inside the bottle and it won’t come out. I reccomend everyone buying the contigo bottle than this.

they won’t let me return the item, and I will be filing a law suit.

First time I filled it and tried to lift it by the handle it broke away from the cap. A gallon of water weights about 8#s and this flimsy plastic handle can’t support that. won’t buy this brand again.

I love the jug, if I had anything negative to say it would be that I wish the pop lid on the spout had a more defined click so you’re 100% sure it’s closed before you start shaking it around and moving.

But I did have a lot of problems with the shipping and this isn’t the 1st jug that I picked out. They oversold my first jug but they did email me to pick out a new one. I almost didn’t see the email, I only saw it because i went looking for a tracking number.

Once i picked a new jug it took forever to ship and then it got lost on the way here, which is not their fault per se but I would pick up more Responsible shipper if I was a company trying to get products to people.

The whole experience made me really wish I had bought it off Amazon but I don’t really like doing that because I want the company to actually get money. I think the other thing that I would be kind of mad about is that The sleeve I bought to go with the jug does not hold on to the jug at all like I don’t know why it’s even an option if you have the nice zippered up options why would you offer an option that doesn’t work.

It was cheaper so I bought it but it’s cheaper for a reason. I thought it would just be cheaper because it doesn’t cover the whole thing or it’s not as cute, I didn’t realize it was cheaper because it doesn’t stay up on the jug and it falls off and it slips around.

I don’t have any real problem with the jug, I still use it. It doesn’t stay cold because it’s a thin plastic but it’s lighter than my yeti and that’s what I wanted it for, I needed something light for the amount of water i want to carry so u have to sacrifice the cold retention.

I will not be buying another one and I definitely won’t be buying another sleeve cause I’m salty that you would even offer a product that doesn’t work.

I’m giving this a 4 star review because after finally receiving the product, I am satisfied. However, initially I ordered on July 6th with expected delivery being July 12th. It didn’t deliver so I gave it a couple of days and still no delivery.

I reached out to the company several times via email, online chat, and even instagram. Eventually, I opened a PayPal claim. Their customer service is the absolute worst. I understand being busy and being possibly short handed, but there is no excuse to not be able to answer an email when it’s being sent.

There also isn’t a direct line to actually speak to a person who is unacceptable to me. There’s a number you can text, but no one texts back on it. The only 2 things that I have to say negatively ab the product is that: 1- when the straw is in the jug, you have to mash it to close.

It doesn’t just snap and close. If you’re not careful, it won’t close and water will go everywhere. 2- I expect the strap to be a bit longer. Especially since these products are versatile for men and women.

The strap should be a bit longer for different body styles. That’s just me and my opinion. It’s also a nice product, but it truly wasn’t all that it’s been hyped up to be. I mostly wanted the mini jug but they’ve been sold out 🙃 but with the way customer service works with this company even if the mini jugs did come back in stock, I wouldn’t purchase directly from them.

So I decided to get one of these jugs because I do not drink enough water at all. I would have like 1-3 bottles per day, and then I would be drinking coffee. While I do still drink my coffee each day, I find it to be a fun sort of challenge to be sure that I also drink all the water in my Hydrojug per day.

I am getting way more water intake and although right now I usually just finish one jug full, I am aiming to start drinking two jug fulls per day. I feel like this has definitely helped me get a great start on my hydration goals and I absolutely take it with me everywhere.

I purchased the jug, the straw, and a sleeve and let me tell you, it is fantastic to be able to just sling my big ol water bottle over my shoulder and keep it with me wherever I go. I honestly want to buy more jugs just because they have so many color options that I love.

I definitely plan on giving a couple of these out as Christmas gifts this year as well. If you need a short answer on whether or not to get your own Hydrojug or not, the answer is yes. Do it. I would be extremely surprised if you regret it.
