20 Best Water For Coffee Machine (2023 Updated)

The simple metal pour overs that don’t need paper filters seemed attractive, but reviews gave me the impression that they clogged after a while. I’ve liked all OXO products, but hesitated because it looked like it took up too much room.

It doesn’t. So far, so good. I’m not snobby about coffee, and adjusting the measurements for my decaf is trial & error. Easy, quick, well made, and easy to clean. Serves my purpose. Update:I’ve used this several times since received almost a week ago.

Twice, I forgot to use the water reservoir and only used the cup filter part (with filter) and the cover. Of course, it dripped down faster, but I also think it tasted better and was hotter. I don’t regret buying this at all, but I will use without reservoir.

For years I’ve been drinking pour-over coffee, and what makes this a “must have” is the fact that you can pour all of the water at once* and walk away, the multiple holes disperse the water around the coffee grounds so all of the grounds are nicely covered for brewing, I love that it’s kept hot with the lid as you wait for the brewing to finish, and finally: the lid becomes a place to set the coffee maker.

Any small remaining drips are kept tidy! *I make a large 20-oz. cup of coffee each morning, so I fill the coffee maker with 12 oz. of water (the limit), but I wait only a few seconds to pour the remaining 8 oz.

We purchased to this to replace an old cuisinart coffee maker that had stopped working. It has many of the same great features on this coffee maker, plus the hot water on demand is a terrific addition.

However, the “Brew Pause” feature does not work well on this model and the coffee continues to drip significantly. There also seems to be a flaw with the black plastic carafe lid and you need to be very careful not to pour too fast or piping hot coffee may spill out the sides.

We also preferred the stainless steel option from our last coffee maker which isnt available on this new model.

As much as I love Cuisinart products, thought I would enjoy the newer design of this model. Purchased as a replacement, it operates as a Cuisinart product does, reliable just not as functional as older model.

I purchased to replace the cusinart model chw-12 due to constant water leak after only 1 yr of use. This Model appears better constructed. I hope it will last longer than one year because I love the on-demand hot water function.

First of all let me say that I only drink Water all the time, No coffee, tea, soda, milk, etc. etc. We go through Cases of it every week. But I will only drink “Dasani” water They say water doesn’t have any special taste, but that’s definitely wrong.

I have tried many different ones and Dasani is the best tasting water ever. It’s so fresh and clear. Try drinking a glass of your city or town’s water, and then one of Dasani’s. You will know immediately, which is which.

Even Walmart’s Sam’s water taste horrible next to Dasani ‘s water. The only problem I have with it, is sometimes the bottles are too full and when you try and take the cap off it squirts out all over you.

LOL But if the storeI’m shopping in doesn’t have any in stock, then I don’t buy any at al. l I will go elsewhere. Nothing, but the best for me. Even my animals drink it. They hate city water.

Most bottles of water are nothing unique or special. In fact I must admit, to laughing at some of the marketing. If I believed that, the Easter bunny would be a 19 year old stripper bringing me a steak.

What a bunch of nonsense! Yet on a plus note, bottled water can be useful on hikes or fitness sessions. Dasani will work for that. This filtered water from Coke is reasonably inexpensive. They sell it at my gym for a high profit margin.

Buy in bulk. Actually best thing is a Brita. Yet some of us need this in a lunchbox too, and that’s another scenario. This water when cool is refreshing, tasty, and rehydrates. We are 75% water, so having this at the ready can help.

This brand of water used to be my favorite! And you may ask how someone could have a favorite brand of WATER. But. It’s not just about the product. It’s about the memories and nostalgia I feel with this brand.

Not only that. But it’s really refreshing too. And I definitely recommend if you’re looking for water that doesn’t have an “artificial taste” or “sweet” taste. It’s really good. Especially for workouts or just when you’re thirsty.

If you care, Dasani has changed up their packaging. Their bottles used to be a decently nice quality (thicker plastic & large caps) and they now use flimsy plastic with tiny caps that actually take some effort to thread on correctly.

Their new bottles are equivalent to other store brand/off brand waters for the same high Dasani price. So that you understand exactly how flimsy the new bottles are, if you tap the bottle with your finger… the bottle will jiggle, yes actually jiggle.

The change of the water has also changed slightly. Not as crisp as it used to be but also this might be a placebo effect since realizing the bottle changed. Overall, not worth the price anymore in my opinion.

I realize this review might seem a little ridiculous but I know that some people chose this brand because of the nice/nicer bottle.

Our family used to be picky when it came to bottled water, we had a dispenser in the house! Since we moved, we decided to expand and try different options. First , then whatever was on sale! We have settled on , but did have a few months using Dasani.

Honestly, I found the water to have a different aftertaste which is the reasoning for the rating. For the price, which tends to be higher when not on sale, I didn’t expect the aftertaste. It isn’t a chemical taste just one I can’t put my finger on but one I don’t want when drinking water.

We got this to replace our Keurig and couldn’t be happier! I had read how some cities around the world had been banning K-cups due to their recycle-resistant nature, so I was really eager to get something that was a little better for the environment! I don’t drink coffee, but my husband does, and one of other things I didn’t like about the Keurig was if I wanted hot water it would sometimes taste like coffee, so this coffee maker and hot water system is so much better for us! It takes a few minutes for the hot water side to heat up fully, but it’s so much preferable to me than the Keurig! My husband really likes the coffee maker and that he’s able to set it on a timer so it’s ready for when he wants it in the morning My one minor complaint is sometimes when sliding this to open the lid to refill the hot water part, the water will leak out of the bottom.

It’s a little annoying, but certainly not annoying enough to get rid of it.

My favorite coffee pot was a Cuisinart and once that one went (after many years) I purchased this one. There was problem after problem with this machine until we finally replaced it a year later. The hot water system is only good if you’re having tea, the hot water alone tastes like coffee which makes no sense.

The carafe leaks every time I poured water or coffee. The mesh basket broke on it and I had to replace it. Finally, what made us give in was that the system kept turning off mid brew. We would have to keep checking on it to see if it was still going.

The coffee tasted good, though, and our previous experience with Cuisinart was a good one. However, we decided to switch brands after this. It was a huge waste of money.

After much deliberation, we settled on this model to replace our older model grind and brew that finally kicked the bucket. While it makes good coffee, and the hot water on demand is certainly a nice feature, I do have a few issues with the machine.

1) The ‘low’ hot plate setting still burns the coffee – I was expecting the low setting to be more mellow. can’t imagine how hot the medium and hot settings are and will never use them; 2) The coffee is absolutely piping hot after brewing – generally a good thing but other buyers may want to be aware; 3) It’s difficult to fill with water due to small openings in the top of the water tank; 4) The beep to alert you that the brew cycle is complete is obnoxiously loud and sounds like a speaker with a blown tweeter – wish we could turn that off; 5) Be sure to open the filter compartment to allow the massive amount of condensation to dry after each brew.

6) The machine materials just feel cheap and I’m not confident this will last me 7+ years like our old machine. I tried everything to resuscitate our grind and brew to no avail. We loved that machine but Cuisinart does not build those like they used to when it comes to quality.

This model will work for now but if I could do it all over, I probably would not buy this machine.

I’m an everyday coffee drinker (usually throughout the whole day) so needless to say this thing is a life saver(amd dollar saver too) when it comes to making a pot of coffee! I used to go through coffee filters way fast then I ran across this thing.

Its washable and reusable and doesn’t need replacing often if you keep it clean! If you drink coffee by the pot instead of making a single cup, get you one of these! Even if you have a Kuerig and make single cups, get a reusable filter! It’ll save you tons of money!.

Yes, I like this! This product enables you to stop buying disposable filters. You will not need them anymore. I don’t have any breakthrough grounds with this product, which I was worried about. And my coffee seems to be the same strength.

Buy this once and you will have one less thing to buy every month, one less disposable not eco friendly item you are using.

This is a nice option for your Mr. Coffee, if you do not have a filter installed on your faucet. I really notice the difference in taste from the first brew. IMHO the taste was somewhat flat, I guess we where use to the taste of chlorine in the water over the years! I did forget to rinse the filter the first time and I’m sure it will be better.

I’ve been thinking about buying this coffeemaker for about a year but evrytime I think I’m ready to take the plunge on a $550 coffeemaker, I read a negative review that turns me off. I finally couldn’t live with some of the issues with my 12 year old Cuisinart so I ignored the negative reviews & gave this a try.

Let me say from the get go, I couldn’t be happier with that decision. Do I wish this wasn’t $550? Sure. Is it worth $550? That would depend on who’s asking & why. To me, the answer is yes & I’ll explain why.

I really never wanted a coffeemaker that didn’t have a heating plate or a glass carafe. This machine has neither but what it does have is an excellent, insulated stainless steel carafe that keeps the coffee hot for well over an hour.

‘Hot’ is a subjective word & can mean different things to different people so I used my thermapen to find out EXACTLY how hot. Upon completion of brewing 4 cups of coffee, the coffee measured 178. 6⁰ in the carafe, in my kitchen.

That’s without preheating the carafe by pouring boiling water in it or preheating the mug. After exactly 1 hour the coffee measured 174. 4⁰ & that was after drinking my mug’s worth. After exactly 2 hours the remaining coffee was still a respectable 145⁰.

In my currently 75⁰ kitchen, pouring this coffee into an heated mug & adding just sugar (no milk) left the coffee easily drinkable but not hot. I would think that using a prewarmed mug the 145⁰ leftover coffee would have felt even warmer.

The carafe does take a little getting used to–it is heavier than a typical glass carafe & pours a lot slower. The reason for the slow pour is the smart lid design, as it’s also insulated to retain heat.

Some reviewers have stated there is a ‘keep warm’ function or heating plate but that is definitely not the case. There is a count up timer that tells you ‘how many minutes since brewed’. Besides how nice this coffeemaker looks in my kitchen there are practicalities & they are what attracted me to this machine.

They are a removable water tank & a slide out drawer where you add the coffee filter & grounds. These are 2 items I felt necessary on any new coffee machine I purchased & 2 items that I couldn’t, find together on ANY other coffee machine.

Some machines had a removable water tank, others only had a way to add the filter & coffee without lifting the entire machine out from under the cabinet. But NO machine had both. Another feature of this machine is that it has a grounds scale.

This is a nice feature for some but not really for me as my Breville burr grinder precisely measures the amount of coffee. Using my grinder for comparison, in order to get a similar flavor (though tastier) in this machine as in my old Cuisnart (as it happens to be the flavor I like) I use the Accu-Brew setting on 1 notch towards bold past the normal setting.

I could get the same result without measuring the coffee, & using the AUTO setting, since my Breville grinder is so accurate but I like to use the tech when I buy something! Almost forgot to mention how fast this machine brews–my old Cuisinart would take 8-10 minutes to brew 4 cups of coffee (depending how cold the water was), this machine is less than half that.

As I’ve previously stated, this Wolf coffeemaker actually looks stylish under my cabinets, with my Breville burr grinder on its right side. The settings are easy to understand & buttons & dials clearly labeled & easy to see.

I heartily recommend this Wolf Coffee machine to anyone seriously considering spending this much, you won’t be disappointed.

This coffee pot is exceptional. I cannot speak to longevity, as I have only owned it about a week, but what a week it has been for coffee. It brews quietly, is more aromatic than my previous coffee maker, easy to use, simple to clean.

I love that I can take out the water tank and dry it out. I do notice some complaints in the reviewa about the grounds drawer not pulling out far enough by 1/4 inch give or take. Please note that yes it has a cabinet drawer style slide rail on the grounds drawer which is wonderful.

Ours didn’t have that issue but I noticed it at the store floor model and all that had to be done was to pull it out a little more if it paused to get the full length and then it opens full from that point on.

Others have spoken of the lid on the carafe. If it is on correctly it shouldn’t leak from what I can see. And while it pours slower than a normal pot, it is okay to have a bit of patience, maybe 5 seconds max, in order to get a perfect cup of coffee.

It also brews rapidly. I have seen some complain about temperature, but that I believe is subjective to the person. Ours brews hot and perfect temp to be able to indulge immediately or wait for more than an hour.

The book even advises if you need the coffee to stay hot longer than an hour or two, put boiling water in the carafe a few minutes before you brew to preheat it and then pour it out. Perhaps some people are used to scalding coffee from places that use temperature to hide quality or flavor.

Even my teenage daughter who hated coffee prior now asks for a cup due to how well this machine performs in the realm of flavor. The price point is higher than I have paid for a coffee maker before, but it is well worth the cost.

The best cup we have had, everytime consistently. No regrets.

The price for this coffee maker seemed high but, after reading reviews of various models, I reasoned that Wolf would put their name on a coffee maker and set a price multiple times higher than most other models only if it were a superior product.

The machine is heavy, has a large footprint, and takes up a lot of visual space. It comes with a gizmo that holds a replaceable water filter (think added operating expense). It can be operated in either “manual” or “automatic” mode.

Automatic mode is intended to indicate the amount of coffee needed to yield the desired strength of brew for each amount. Nowhere does it refer to the recommended grind of coffee – a significant factor in determining brew strength.

I tried both manual and automatic operations and found no noticeable difference. The result was mediocre coffee either way. Speed of operation seemed to be prioritized over quality of brew. In automatic mode, the machine required more coffee than my old machine, yet the coffee tasted weak.

Like stainless steel carafes in general, this one tends to leak when pouring and is difficult to empty completely. I would have given this machine a satisfactory rating if it had priced under $100. At $600, it is a profound disappointment.

Fits our Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee pot. I would suggest running hot water through your coffee pot with this in it because it had an odd taste when we brewed our coffee in it the first 4-5 times. It’s gotten better now though.

To see if this would fit your coffee pot, measure your inside filter holder (the part you would normally put your filter in) from side to side. Ours was 5 inches and fits perfectly. It’s super easy to take out and empty then refill with fresh grounds.

Great way to get rid of filters and less trash.

This filter is awesome because it is reusable and lasts a long time. I have been using mine for about 2 years and with regular cleaning, it still looks and works the same. I never have to worry about running out of coffee filters.

The only down side to this product is the sometimes messy dumping and daily cleaning of the filter, especially if you’re clumsy like I am whenever first waking up in the morning. I do highly recommend this product.

It’s worth the price and lasts a long time.

I have been searching at the local stores, to include Walmart, for these water filters for our coffee maker. Had pretty good success in the past in obtaining them. Since Covid 19, it suddenly stopped appearing everywhere on the shelves.

Had to order it through Walmart, on-line, for a quantity that would keep me good for a year or two. “Seriously”, who likes to shop this way? But I am grateful that Walmart was able to take care of me in minimum time.

I’m reserving giving these a 5 until I actually use them. The shape and size is exactly the same as the Cuisinart filters, though I don’t believe there’s as much charcoal in these as the original. We’ll see! At this price, if I have to swap out once a month vice every two, it’s still worth it!.

They fit, but they are in no way the same as the Cuisinart brand. I’m keeping them. The price was good. They aren’t firm like the original one I just removed. They are filled with charcoal but only filled up maybe half way.

They do not have as much filter material as the original brand. Probably would not purchase these again. They came n a plastic bag and half of them were crushed. Did not come in an outer box. They were packaged in a soft envelope.

I recently purchased this coffeemaker because of its favorable reviews, exceptional price, and some promotional credit I needed to use at Best Buy. I have used the Cuisinart DCC – 1200 Brew Central for many many years and have always gone back to that model when I needed to replace a coffee maker.

In this case, I decided to try the Cuisinart DCC – 3650. For purposes of this review, I thought I would compare some of the pros and cons of this model to the DCC- 1200, which is one of the most popular models Cuisinart has ever made.

First, the coffeemaker is very simple, modern, and attractive, with minimal buttons on the front. The buttons are incorporated into the base. I did have some slight difficulty programming the auto brew setting and the clock.

Specifically, it’s hard to hold down the auto brew button and catch it at exactly the right timing to set the auto start time before it quits flashing and reverts back to normal. It took several attempts at it before I could get it to work right.

This is probably a learning curve-I followed the instructions but the buttons on the auto brew weren’t cooperating. Fortunately I was able to make the settings and shouldn’t have to change them very often so this is no big deal.

One of the things I like about this coffeemaker that is an improvement over the DCC – 1200 series is the lid. There is not as much condensation on the lid dripping down in back of the coffee pot, so there is no need to have the reservoir for the water to drip into at the back.

The reason for this is that the brewing chamber of the coffee maker is totally contained within a compartment below the lift-up lid. It is accessible by pushing the button to open the swing-out door where you insert the filter basket, coffee filter and the coffee.

This does mean that there are two steps you need to take to prepare for brewing- open the lid to pour in the water, close the lid and open the swing-out door to put in the coffee and filter. The DCC – 1200 is easier in that respect because you can access everything under the lid.

Another plus of the DCC-3650 is that there is a viewing chamber to see the level of the water in the coffee maker. It’s a little more awkward to pour in the water because the charcoal filter holder is on the right side rather than the left, as in the DCC– 1200.

The carafe is modern in appearance and easy to pour. I do have a little bit of trouble getting it in and out of the warming plate as it fits tighter on the coffee filter basket. Perhaps this will become easier as it wears a bit from use.

However, the good news is that you can pull out the coffee pot to grab some coffee before the brewing is finished and it does not drip! I had been having trouble with my previous DCC- 1200 in that regard, even after changing the brew basket twice.

The coffee on the “hot “setting is perfectly hot, but there is an “extra hot“ setting if you prefer it hotter. There is a button for “bold“ coffee but, to be honest, I don’t find the coffee to be that bold, even with this setting.

As I seem to recall, the coffee from my DCC – 1200 series seem to be a bit stronger and more flavorful. I don’t know if this is because the brewing process is different and/or faster. I did notice that the grounds did not seem to float all the way up to the top like they sometimes did with my DCC- 1200.

Occasionally I had had the grounds float to the top of the filter and clog the opening on the lid when they were too fine, but after brewing several full-size pots with this DCC-3650 model, the grounds stayed well below the top level of the filter.

Finally, this model is very quiet when brewing and does not gurgle loudly and spit steam like my old DCC-1200. My previous model had so much steam coming out of the top when it brewed that I had to pull it out from under the cabinets.

This one has relatively little steam escaping so it is a big improvement in that regard. All in all, I like the features of this coffee maker a lot. Being honest, I think my old DCC – 1200 did a better job in terms of coffee flavor, but I’ve only had the DCC-3650 a week and time will tell.

I will try doing a finer grind in the future and seeing if that helps with the brewing flavor.

No better than an average coffeemaker. I’ve had better product service from least expensive pots. I drink coffee, daily. And, have had my share of makers, ranging from least to most expensive. And, can honestly say that this did not perform as well of my least expensive.

This stopped brewing hot coffee within 15months. I’ve only replaced makers for other reasons. Not, because it stopped working.

After first week of use I’m pleased to announce this was a good buy. The hot setting was too hot for me and have started using the regular setting and like a previous reviewer stated this maker has minimal steam coming out of the machine.

I have noticed some noise when it is making coffee, but not a deal breaker for me. I purchased this on sale and couldn’t justify paying the full price, which seemed alittle much for a standard coffee maker.

Received this with the purchase of my last Keurig. Install was effortless. Used Keurigs for about 3 years prior to installing one of these. Installed this about a month ago and I can’t tell a difference.

Maybe it would make a difference if the water quality was lesser than what I was already using but for me this seems like it would be an extraneous purchase.

I bought the water filter that was supposed to fit the K Classic. However, it evidently doesn’t fit the newer models. I called CS and told them I wanted to return it. I was put on hold and then someone came on to ask if someone could call me back.

No one has called me back. I just bought a new K Classic and it isn’t working as well as it should but I don’t know how to return it either. I have decided to upgrade to a different coffeemaker but not sure I want to deal with this CS dept anymore.
