I had this product for a long time and has been performing A+ without any problem. The water quality is very nice and we have stopped spending money on retail water bottles. I would say it is much healthier water.

I am also very impressed with the customer support directly from the company. I had an issue with water pressure and support representative Michele helped me to first diagnose the issue by first checking the pressure in my tank, when it was not resolved she immediately took action and sent me a new water tank as a replacement without any cost.

I highly recommend the company and their products.

Have been using this for six weeks now and very happy with it. Compact, easy to install and no noise as it an issue with some models. I decided to go with this over the fancier models which have pressure tank and more filtering stages because my past experience with fancier model which stopped working after few months and I had to return it.

I haven’t done any testing on the water since installing this under my kitchen sink yesterday, so I can’t say anything intelligent about the quality of the water. but it has an excellent flow rate and compared to our last undersink system ($300 plumber bill in 2010 dollars), it was very simple to install.

The directions cover all the questions that come up in installation. It took me about an hour, including 10 minutes to drill new holes and reposition the unit because it didn’t fit comfortably in the first spot I picked to hang it.

This filter has been and hopefully will continue to be very helpful for our family. It isn’t in the way of washing dishes and it can be moved around easily. I can fill up larger containers without forcing them to fit into the sink.

This filter is the best I’ve ever invested in so far. I highly recommend to anyone who drinks a lot of water and doesn’t like buying gallons or bottles of water at the grocery store.

I had a much larger filter inline with more filtration that yielded greater flow and pressure. This filter greatly reduces my water pressure.

This is a great filter for an apartment. Easy to operate and easy to clean. The water tastes good. The only complaint I have is the filter doesn’t remove floride. I have a countertop pitcher that does however for drinking water.

I checked our water provider’s website for water standards and the floride ppm is very low. I mainly use this filter to wash veggies and fruit. My drinking water is double filtered. I know this might be extreme but after having a tumor removed from my bladder I am doing the best that I can to keep it from returning.

We have tried what seems like every water filter pitcher on the market thinking that was our only option living in an apartment, we even tried the PUR filter for the sink but none of them lasted or produced great tasting water.

While this unit does have some size to it due to its filter, it does an amazing job filtering water. The water this filter produces simply tastes great and removes the smell! Makes drinking water enjoyable without the work of dragging it home in jugs.

This filter us made such a difference in my tap water before there was a weird taste now it’s a big difference. Don’t freakout the first time you put on your filter the water comes out black at first it’s from the filter getting to work let it run for a bit then you get fresh clean tasting water.

Horrendous. My wife bought one of these to switch from a Britta pitcher due to better filtration. Now, my typical “water flow” is to fill the LifeStraw container and dispense water into 1L Sodastream bottles for carbonating.

Below are the problems I would run into, which previously took me all of 15 seconds with a Britta pitcher. First of all, the dispenser container is only a little over one foot deep. That means it doesn’t touch the back wall of our kitchen counter if out of the refrigerator– And doesn’t touch the back of our refrigerator if inside it.

Wouldn’t be a problem if the product was heavy enough so that when pushing the water dispensing button the container stayed in place. Not the case. When pushing the dispensing button, unless completely, to-the-brim full of water, you will push the entire container backwards while dispensing a trickle of water– Because it’s too light to withstand the force of pushing the button.

And now you have water spillage as well, just for trying. Perfectly maddening. This then results in Greco-Roman wrestling attempts to find your handling on the container to both keep it in place and dispense water.

Add double difficulty if this is in your fridge and it keeps sliding back within the confines of your shelves. Half a star for inventing a unique torture method. As for when the water actually dispenses, even at full capacity– It is very slow.

It takes just over a minute to fill a 1L Sodastream bottle. I promise you, it feels like an eternity. Another half star for forcibly teaching me a lesson in patience. In addition to that, after refilling the dispenser to the top, the cover barely seals, and thus almost always guaranteeing some spillage of your new water as it filters if you are moving it back to a fridge or just away from the edge of your sink.

Sure, it’s a problem with refilling any water filter device, but now you don’t even get a handle to transport it. You just get to spill water on yourself and your floor as you move a slippery Dell desktop sized container away from your sink.

Also, bear in mind where you will be using it. We have a horizontal split fridge, and thus if we keep it inside (the bottom half), it results in 30-60 second long squats to refill glasses or bottles.

That’s on us, but I feel like a faster stream would make this complain null. I guess at least now we’re getting some squats in. Tl’dr ; this container is a micro-plastic filtering torture device, go with the pitcher to alleviate woes.

I wasn’t going to leave a review but Lifestraw keeps emailing me, so here goes. I have ordered THREE of these now and ALL have been faulty. I had my first for about 6 months before the spout just gave up and started leaking.

Lifestraw kindly sent me a replacement, but the spout on that one did not work at all! It would only push in about a millimeter and I could feel some sort of resistance behind it. The water came out in a trickle.

I told Lifestraw it was faulty and they told me it was a problem with the model that they were working on fixing. They sent me another replacement and I assumed they would at least check it to make sure the spout worked.

Nope. They are shipping out brand new, completely useless dispensers. Why was I even given one before they made sure there were no more broken ones in their inventory? I put it straight in the recycling.

What a huge waste. I love the filter system itself and the water tasted great, but the dispenser is so moronically designed and manufactured so poorly it is literally impossible to use. Even Deer Park knows how to make a water dispenser correctly.

I hope other LifeStraw products work better for the sake of all the people who depend on them.

Pur has bad problem with system not able to handle high water pressure that is causing leaks. Seems they have installed some type of “shut-off ” valve that will totally shut off your water flow if you have a large volume of water flowing through the faucet, even your hot water.

Guess this is their answer to fix the problem of leaks. Wrote their web site and asked but they did not bother to respond. Best filtering system for the money, have used the product a long time but am now considering going to something else.

Only my kitchen faucet has it installed, all other faucets do not have this problem. If I remove the system, I have no problem with the water flow from this faucet. Also I keep the small filter inside clean.

So it has to be something of this sort. I would recommend to a friend but with this warning about this aggravation.

Do not buy any on PUR products!! It contaminates your water Evan worse! Before my well water is filtered through the pur filter its at 240ppm and after I filter it through the pur filter it comes out at 400ppm!!! And its a brand new filter and I Evan let the water run through it for at least 10 mins to see if the numbers improved and it did not! I would recommend getting a zero water pitcher great value brand, it Evan comes with a tds meter so you can measure the ppms to know when the filter needs replaced.

Zero water comes out at 0ppm and it Evan alkalizes the ph from 6. 8 to 8. 0! Great value filter products out my new favorite technologie.

I’ve had really good luck with this product. I’m only buying a new one because the internal battery that controls the flow light has quit working. It snaps on easily. I have good water pressure and have never had any problem with it shutting off.

It would only do that if you don’t change the filter as recommended and it finally becomes clogged. It’s also important that you NEVER run hot water through it. That destroys the filter. I’ve had no problems with leaking.

I see the new model screws on. That’s the way it used to be years ago. I don’t understand Pur going back to that style. It often came loose and was a pain. This snap on is much better!.

The item and the products work really well. I just wish that the products are over here in the USA so I don’t have to pay an international fee. Then they use a company that sucks. They were able to get from Canada to where I live very quick.

Then UPS took 12 hours to get to me. So I don’t know what to do now. I have another filter to change it out in April. After that I am not sure what to do. Not sure if I could recommend this product.

I have had 3 new filters since I bought my Santevia, and this was the first filter that seemed to be blocked and was not letting water through. I realize that that happens sometimes. You were wonderful to deal with and you replaced that filter quickly and efficiently.

For 10 years, we have live in a house with city water that is so heavily chlorinated that you could smell it and taste it, very very strongly. So we started buying bottled water. Ughhhh, the amount of plastic!!!!! After realizing that my dog was drinking this terrible water, we knew it was time for a chance.

The PUR 30 Cup Dispenser Filtration System is the best fit for our family. The large yet narrow design fits perfectly on the top shelf of our refrigerator. The pull-down tab makes dispensing water a breeze.

Installing the filter was also very easy and one filter lasts up to 40 gallons or up to two months! There’s a lot less water bottles in this house! The water tastes seriously amazing. I cannot believe that I’m actually drinking my tap water! No more intense chlorine and chemical tastes and smells! And best of all, I feel sooo much better about the water my dog drinks and I am 100% sure he would agree to the amazing taste of the water now! This filter is easy to install, if I use the original fitting from the very first filter I bought. They have changed the filter 3 times. This fitting does not work on the last two. I have to use the white tape to go around the fitting to stop the leak.

I’ve been using this water filter model for the refrigerator’s ice maker for a while after moving into a new home and have had no issues with it. Installation of the recent replacement was fairly straightforward until I got to the part where it says to wrap PTFE tape around the threads.

I called the manufacturer’s 800 number and they were able to explain what this meant (since I am not familiar.

This product in and of its self does what is expected. I can see the debris when I change the filter! The issues are that the electric indicator on the top of our unit completely stopped working after the very first filter change.

I “rinsed the top” and “changed the battery”, but it never responded or lit up again which defeats it purpose. It also leaves one to guess when to change it out, which is not the best, because each water source had different sediment and/or contamination levels requiring filter changes at different intervals to ensure optimal benefits.

The other issue is the effort of changing the filter, I mean, we unseal the unit from the base, rinse out the parts, attached the new filter and then the nonsense of it leaking out the top or continuing to drip after you fully shut off the water is becoming the “norm” at every filter change.

We thought it was the filter, but it had happened three time in one year, so.

Awesome. In an apartment temporarily without a filtered refrigerator. After drinking 6+ bottles of “bottled water” daily, included Smart Water, had to find a better solution. Looked at Brita but remembered the ’80s when I had several Multi-Pure Carbon-Filtered silver countertop system.

After searching, found the dream. Happy since mid-Jan 2022!.

I was introduced to it by my roommates at my old apartment had it. I liked it so much, I bought one for myself when I moved into my own apartment. When the lights on the filter were not operating, I simply emailed support and they got new parts sent to me immediately.

My water filter is working as expected and I’m so glad to have peace of mind and clean water for health! One of my most valuable purchases.

I took the time to do my research. seeking alternatives to softener & filtration systems for well water. I settled on Pelican for several reasons: 1) American made. Although a few components are made in Canada, the majority of this product is made in the USA.

2) Long term maintenance costs are manageable. The cost for the system up front was a bit higher than other similar systems, where Pelican won out is in the long term maintenance. Compared to other systems I’ve found that may be cheaper up front, you basically have to replace all the components every 5 years or so! 3) The sales person was knowledgeable, admitted when he didn’t have an answer, researched and followed up with the answers, and worked to give me the best price around.

4) While installing, I found the directions simple, yet detailed. The install was pretty straight forward and logical, and the end results were clean and polished (quite literally!). 5) So far the performance is as I hoped it would be.

No spotting on the dishes, showers don’t feel “slimy”, and clothes wash clean and white with out any tangible hardness buildup (really important for cloth diapers and towels!). If you are looking for an all-in-one system, then this is it!.

I like the concept, however I disliked a few of the components. One of the plastic snap rings broke, and the plastic on the male threads for the bypass valve were of low quality. I realize the filter is relatively inexpensive but would expect more durable components to make a smoother install.

Thankfully I prefabbed the bypass piping the day before my install, had I broke and damaged parts day of I would have lost money on the job. I will say customer service was good and they got me replacement parts next day.

One more thing I did not notice a pressure release on the sediment filter. That being said the customer is very happy with the water quality provided by the filter. One other thing I would recommend is better literature for these units I did not realize the bypass valve did not come with 90 degree fittings so I had to use the straights.

All in all after installing this I would likely install this unit again per the application.

First of all, i did not bought from Bestbuy, coz they charge more than Offical Store and Amazon, and there is no way to Match it over the app or website. The system all in one design is nice looking even under the sink, need power outlet to run.

Water flow rate is ok, but takes over 30 sec to get the TDS down to ideal value, every time. Maybe my area water is bad, but I would recommmed get a jar to fill.

When I purchased my Alexapure from My Patriot Supply, I purchased it with the four extra filters. It was a great deal, and I couldn’t pass it up. With all the supply issues, I decided to get another 4 pack of filters to have on hand, and then later on, I purchased another 4 filter set for backup of backup.

These filters are great. They are the best and clearly filter out 99. 9999 of the impurities in the water. We only use bottled spring water for cooking and drinking, and we even filter that. The water tastes so much better going through the Alexapure.

Care is so easy. Depending on your usage level, either every 2 weeks, or 30 days, take the filter and get a green Scotchbrite sponge and go at the surface, scuffing, which is what you want to do. Once you’ve scuffed, simply soak the filter in a bowl or jug, with the opening at the bottom facing up, and the water level below that but having the body full submersed.

Let it soak for 24 hours. This will push any trapped air out. Your filter will work without flaw. I have two+ years on my filter doing this and it works great. I was using a blue Scotchbrite, but it wasn’t doing the job as well as the green.

After years of drinking bottled water and realizing a) it’s not always as healthy as I believed it to be with issues such as trusted sourcing, plastic breakdown, etc…. and b) not to mention the hassle of buying and carrying them….

I finally committed to buying the water filtration system. I absolutely LOVE how pure and clean my water tastes. I can smell the chlorine from my taps city water as I pour it into the container but it comes out tasting like real water.

I would say the only potential issue would be only having one with a family with maybe 3 or more. I constantly fill mine daily a few times a day because I use it for everything – drinking and cooking so I go through it pretty quickly and i live alone most of the time (part time empty nester) So one would need commitment to help keep it filled from others sharing the living space and one may not be sufficient.

But other than that it was money well spent and an investment I should have made many years ago.

When we purchased our Alexapure Pro several years ago, we also purchased 2 of these four-packs of filters (four filters to use immediately and four filters for back-up). We are living on Social Security and had to save up many months for this purchase, but now we are so glad that we did.

With all four filters in our Alexapure, water runs right through it almost immediately. After using our Alexapure Pro daily for more than 3 years, the original filters are still filtering water as fast as when they were new.
