20 Best Water Bowls For Cats (2023 Updated)

This thing has saved me so much time and hassle! I was having to reheat food, bringing it in and out, to make sure my feral guy could get wet food (so important during freezing temps) and even then, I couldnt be sure he’d get to it before it froze overnight.

Then there was me bringing out hot water, breaking ice out of the bowl so i could refill it. Now I only have to set him up twice a day and I can go to sleep knowing he has access to both food and water.

Though I’ve tried to get him on a schedule, he still shows up rather randomly so I stir in a little water in the wet food if I think it may be a while until he shows up. When left for hours, the top of the food may dry out a bit but the added water helps with that and it can be mixed up again.

As with any electric appliance like this, keep it out of direct weather. I adapted a small doghouse to use as a feeding station (took the top off, added hinges to make it into a lid so I have easier access) and cut a small hole for the cord to feed through.

At first I didnt want to spend as much on a heated bowl but its made my life so much easier that I really cant explain.

100% recommend! Used one of these for about 3 years outside on covered porch for multiple stray/feral cats. The plastic base eventually cracked but still worked just fine. I later donated it to an animal rescuer.

Just bought 2 more in 2021. 1 for me, 1 for neighbor and she loves it too. Keeps water at an indoor room temperature so kitties have fresh unfrozen water all winter. 100% recommend!.

We rescued a starving stray kitten this past summer, she likes being outside and doesn’t want to be confined to garage or house. I bought the warming food bowl and the heated cat houses, put a house on enclosed porch and garage add on.

She uses all of it all and I know shes eating warm food and staying warm in her little houses. Great products and highly recommend!!.

I am very pleased with the fact that the Neater Feeder has been helpful in keeping water off my floor. It is a nice looking feeding station and easy to clean. I think the concept for this product was great.

a product much needed. Upon receiving my unit I was surprised to not see the unit and bowls wrapped for protection and what I did find was a unit that was a bit scuffed u and two damaged bowls. Honestly, I felt the bowls were thin and cheaply made.

The positive note is that once I contacted customer service, they responded promptly and then sent out two new bowls very quickly. They were both pleasant and efficient to deal with. not easy to find that kind of customer service these days, so I much appreciated this about this family owned business.

Unfortunately I still had issues with the unit and mostly with the bowls. When the new bowls came, I immediately washed them and proceeded to dry them. I was surprised to see black on the cloth I was using to dry them.

I washed them again, filled them up and put them down for the pets (I use both for water only). Shortly afterwards as I passed the bowls the water didn’t look right to me. like there were little specks in the water.

I immediately took them up and emptied them only to find there was some type of residue if I rubbed with my finger. I proceeded to use my own bowls, not a perfect fit but they work. As for the unit itself, I feel it too could be better made.

The two separate pieces don’t exactly sit well into each other and the unit then tends to wobble a wee bit, but once I put the filled water bowls in it and placed on a small area rug, it eliminates that wobble.

All in all I think the concept behind this product is great. something truly needed. I just wish the unit was a bit more refined and that the bowls were of better quality. I would prefer to pay less for the unit and purchase better bowls on my own.

As I mentioned, I am using my own bowls since I’m not sure these bowls may turn out to be a health concern.

I like the product very much. I found your website misleading. I ordered a large, a small and a cat. I received the large, perfect, the small was very small so opted to keep it for the cats and returned the cat.

I then ordered the medium, and the confirmation said large. I replied back and said it should be medium. I then was told, there is no medium in express, only in deluxe, which of course is a much higher cost.

Very misleading and disappointing. I’m thinking maybe this is a company I don’t want to do business with.

We love the Neater Feeder! My dog, Jax, is around 50 pounds and is classified as a cocker spaniel, so he is not extremely tall. The large version of the Express is perfect for him as far as height. I researched a similar solution for this purpose from different companies.

I am glad I chose the Neater Feeder, as the system is of very good quality and is a fair price. I read in some of the reviews that the bowls were not very nice, but I am not sure what was meant, as they are also of good quality.

I like the look of this product and I feel it completely gives me everything I was looking for in the way of a pet feeder. I am very pleased with the concept and the quality of these feeders!.

These bowls were exactly what I needed. I purchased the medium size and they are just the right size and heighth for my cats. Two of my four cats were eating too fast and air was getting in their stomach resulting in them throwing up their food.

The vet recommended that I get raised cat bowls so gravity could help. So far, my cats have not had any more instances. Wish I had gotten them earlier! Good product at a good cost.

I have tried several different bowls for my 2 ten month old cats, but have been unhappy with all of them until now. These are the purrfect size for water or food and you get 2. It doesn’t hold much, but for a cat or a small puppy, it is just right.

I bought these elevated bowls for my spoiled kitties. After reading about them I decided it made a lot of sense to elevate their food. They have never had a problem but I’m Pro everything. They turned out to be very nice indeed.

I especially love the water bowl. It has measurements written on the inside so I can tell how much the kitties are drinking. I mix their distilled water to the 2nd line and fill with colloidal silver til full.

It seems they are drinking more water since I bought these which is a very good thing, keeping them hydrated for good health.

This extra wide dish with slope is great. Wet food stays in the bowl. It is great that there aren’t any side walls where food gets pushed into, therefore making my cat struggle for the food and eventually give up.

She gets to every drop with this bowl! Rubber ring on the bottom, which makes this non-skid, falls off if I’m not careful when moving it to wash it or refill with meals. However, I like that it comes apart to wash.

I wish the pedestal was a tad bit wider, as I have seen on other bowls to prevent tipping, but surprisingly, this seems to be okay. It seems sturdy enough for my calm 13-year-old girl. I still worry about it tipping with four 7-month-old crazy kittens in the house, so I pick it up off of the floor after my senior cats’ meals.

I’ll do a kitten test sooner or later. I also wish this was about a half inch or so taller for her, but it really is okay. This is SO much better than what she had. She doesn’t seem to have complaints.

I know it is helping her. I’m thinking of ordering another one (1 for dry – 1 for wet) and/or 1 or 2 deeper pedestal bowl for 1 water and 1 dry. If these pass the kitten test, I’ll be ordering a lot more so they have their own.

I’ve been using this bowl for about 8 months and I’m very happy with this bowl. I found this bowl kind of by accident, but I’m so glad I did! I didn’t know “whisker fatigue” was a thing until I saw this bowl, and then I realized my fur baby was having a lot of trouble with that.

This bowl made a HUGE difference for her. The porcelain is a nice quality and the design is cute. Our senior cat is blind so she bumps into everything, but she has never tipped the bowl over, which is saying something.

There is a silicon ring on the bottom that keeps the bowl from sliding. I was skeptical of that, but it really works. Initially it was attached at one point, but after daily washings it has come off.

But it is easy to put back on and then it stays put. Overall the quality of this bowl is terrific and I am very happy with it. 1000% would recommend.

So I have a Bouvier and Xoloitzcuntli that slop water every where which I hate. This dish was recommended by a fellow Bouvier friend and I love it. It keeps a small but constant amount of water in the dish so water isn’t being splashed around everywhere when drinking.

It goes through a filter and the additional water is kept clean and fresh in the reservoir. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because it’s only 1/2 gallon. I have four dogs so a gallon capacity would be preferred.

You can also lock it so no water comes out for traveling. There is a smaller size available for smaller dogs.

I asked when I bought this ‘how to change filters”. No instructions. You said to contact the company. How do I do that? No address or phone shown anywhere. I can see no filter to lift out and replace.

So for 3 months, I wash it almost daily by filling with soap and water followed by several rinses. Today OMG it smells like a sewer. Even if I had never washed it (but I did) it shouldn’t smell. Every couple of days, it’s refilled with fresh water.

This is the first time I feel Chewy hasn’t followed thru or helped me. This bowl is going into the trash unless I’m able to change filters. I’ve never bought the filters cuz I don’t know how to put them in.

I’m guessing they’re expensive. Was very surprised you doubled the price on this bowl since I bought it 90 days ago.

This dish holds a surprising amount of water and it is weighted. features I like because of convenience and the fact that I have a robotic vacuum that always seems to bump my pet food bowls and water dishes.

My pets prefer gravity water bowls. They are fascinated by them, so I was hoping they would be just as interested in something like this. They tolerate the bowl because the water is fresh and filtered, but I do find them gravitating to the other gravity bowls more.

What surprised me was how shallow the water is when the bowl automatically refills. It seems like there is barely any water in it. My pets do not seem to mind and at least I know that the water is always recycled and fresh, but it does seem odd.

I bought one of these bowls for my cat. After less than a month, the bowl is now chipped and the black paint in the center where it reads “yummy” and has a cat’s head has begun to flake off. For the last day and a half, I’ve been cleaning up cat vomit and diarrhea because the paint flakes mixed into his food and made him VERY sick.

The description of this product says it’s an “anti-vomiting” cat bowl, but instead it’s caused my cat to do nothing BUT vomit!! Really think this item should be recalled!.

About two weeks after I got this dish, he started getting sick and throwing up all over the place. He was able to lick the black paint right off the dish and it was making him vomit up his food every time.

When I realized what was happening, I took the dish away from him immediately. I wanted to be sure it wasn’t some sort of fluke though and after a week, I used the dish one more time and he got sick.

I like that these elevated cat bowls are heavy. and I’m pretty sure my cats won’t tip them over. Nice design and sturdy. The shipping was quick which is always a plus. The packaging was sturdy and held up during transport.

I will be using this vendor again when the need arises.

Not happy with the quality. I bought 3 bowls to replace the same exact 3 bowls that were several year old. The difference in quality stands out. They feel different and they don’t clean up as well, discolor, scratched up easily, etc.

Not the same, good quality stainless steel as before. Not very happy with the purchase.

I bought three blue and three red because they met my requirements for stainless steel, dishwasher-safe, and desired capacity. The blue ones are fine. The stickers on the red ones have such a terrible residue, they cannot be used.

IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I hope Chewy won’t sell these anymore.

I’ve been using a self-waterer for my dogs for about a year. It’s been convenient for me; but I’ve noticed black spots developing inside the reservoir (mold?) that I cannot reach to clean. So I bought this.

The dogs like it and I like it. There are rubber grips on the bottom to keep it from being pushed around the floor. It’s big enough to hold 3 – 4 days of water and I put a few drops of apple cider vinegar in it each time I clean and refill it.

That’s supposed to be healthy and the dogs seem to like the taste.

Excellent small food/water bowl for cats (too small for most dogs and too big/awkward for rabbits). I bought 15 bowls, since the price was wonderful; the bowls are easy-clean and sturdy; they are a just the right size, stack beautifully, and take up little space in the cupboard.

Five cats rely on me as staff, so I needed better bowls than thrift store variety. Cats also seem to be satisfied with them. These bowls are perfect, and I highly recommend for cats.

Not fancy, but exactly what we wanted. A stainless steel bowl with a rubber bottom. Easy to keep clean, stable on the floor, won’t slide around. There’s not much more to say.

I found this site and these 8 oz. size bowls which are perfect for our cat boarding facility They have been used daily for the past 18 months and have held up great. Can’t beat the price for the quality that I just ordered another 20 and will continue to order this size and the larger size for the dogs.

I highly recommend these bowls. I already have several of these bowls. I bought most of them in our local Pet Store in Northern California. Had to go on line to find this last one. I use them for water bowls for my Kitties.

I change them out every morning. The dirty ones go in dish washer and the kitties get a clean ones. They hold enough water for them so I do not have to worry until their evening feeding. Love these bowls.

Bonus factor – they are very attractive you can have them out in an open kitchen and they look great.

Glad I checked them out in the store first since I almost bought the 1 cup versions online. The 3 cup bowls are the perfect size for water and kibble. The one cup may work for feeding a small amount of kibble but I like that there’s less of a chance for food dropping outside of the bowl with the larger one.

The one cup seemed way too small for water. These are nice and heavy so there’s less chance of the cats tipping over the water when they play which I had an issue with with previous bowls.

I love the size of this bowl. My adult cats share one and we refill the water daily. However, it’s been a game changer for my foster kittens! We have 6-8 kittens at a time, who need to stay hydrated.

We found that the smaller size bowls would empty too quickly while we were at work and unable to refill, so we replaced them with two of these and there’s more than enough water for everybody all day long.

I bought 6 dishes. My cats like them. The dishes stack well in my dishwasher without wasting space. The only problem was removing the sticky label on the inside of each dish which was resistant to peeling off, coming off with spray oil and soaking in hot soapy water.

I find a lot of the bowls I have too deep and this is small and shallow, perfect for a cat’s sachet or portion. Easy to clean, also dishwashers well. Product as expected. Considering buying another one.

This bowl set is so easy to set up you just twist it in and twist to take it off. Cleaning is super easy too. It’s very secure there is no bouncing around as I have had with cheaper elevated bowls. It’s great you can have them on an angle or have them sitting flat, I always have mine on an angle.

I was worried thinking they weren’t as high as my previous elevated bowl but my cat can easily walk up and take the food.

This Nano bowl is such a great idea! My kitty loves it ! It’s easy to clean and easy to return back to its position! I especially enjoy that they remain secured until you turn it and slide it out of its catch ! My feisty kitty is not able to flip the bowl and watch all her friskies fly everywhere!.

Bought them for my pupper who has no complaints. Food goes in the bowl, doggo extracts food (with delight) and everyone is happy. My dog gives it two paws up.

I love this dish it is adorable. My cat however seems disinterested but at least he has fresh water and I have something to cute to look at instead of a boring old bowl!

This bowl is small but adequate. I think the little painted gold fish could have been better but I like it and the Cat well she hasn’t really paid any attention.

These Double Diners are more solid than you would expect. They should be good for several years use.

I hadn’t been able to find these bowls in any pet store, and came upon this site. They were so inexpensive and exactly what my 3 tiny dogs needed. This company shipped quickly, and I couldn’t be happier with these easy to clean bowls.

I wanted at least one of each color, and the company complied.

Switched to these because they’re supposed to be good for cats since they’re shallow. Love the design and it’s heavy so it doesn’t get knocked around. I like that it is dishwasher safe, although I find my cats too impatient for that so I hand wash.

My only complaint is the wording on it, I find it unnecessary and not in my personal preference. But I just turn it around and not big deal. Also that’s just my opinion and it does nothing for the function of the bowl, so no stars removed.

These are absolutely adorable and the cats love them too. There is a rubber ring around the bottom so they won’t slide around. Heavy duty with a nice weight. And they will match any decor!

I purchased 4 of these for my cats. Excellent quality-nice and heavy as well as a large size compared to other cat dishes. In addition, it does not slide all over while the cat is eating as it has rubber stoppers on the bottom.

Between 4 determined ferrets who consider everything they can reach to be a toy, it IS tippable and will skid a little, but it’s a safe and durable pet bowl.

Its a perfect bowl and very easy to keep clean

Used to have plastic ones that are joint together which wasnt that great as kitten just licked the jelly of her wet food and left all bits to dry and to clean had to remove dry food to another tray. With single bowls is much easier as after shes done eating can just take one bowl for washing and she can still nibble on dry food.

I am pleased with these new bowls as they are easy to clean and use. The stainless steel bowl is good for keeping clean BUTI am slightly disappointed with the thickness of the metal and would have preferred a stronger material as I am not totally convinced it is that strong and could bend quite easily.

Time will tell how long they will last.

Bought theses bowls for my cat. They are excellent quality and because they are stainless steel they will last well. The non slip ring is a good idea. They arrived quickly and were packed well. Would recommend the product.
