20 Best Water Bowl For Dogs (2023 Updated)

I suddenly got paranoid about chemicals that might be in my dog’s old bowl, which I bought from a discount store near my house. I was happy to find these fancy Waggo bowls, which are the right shape and size (I got the small, for my chihuahua mix) and come in a lot of pretty colors.

She seems to enjoy eating out of it. So do I recommend it? Sure. Would I spend $22 on a single bowl, for myself? Absolutely not.

I had a problem with my American Bully slopping water all over the floor when he drank. I was constantly mopping the floor. This bowl is wide and deep enough to prevent this issue. It’s just what I wanted.

I just got the Neater Pets Elevated Giant Bowl for Dogs. It is a plastic trough style bowl, in the color called gunmetal, a dark grey. It holds about 2+ gallons of whatever you want to put in it. For example, it can hold close to 35 cups of dry or wet food.

Same for water. I have a couple of dogs who only like to eat or drink out of plastic. I have observed that they find it uncomfortable (at least my perspective) to bend to get the water or food because they stand very tall.

This elevated bowl helps them to go to the bowl without bending and eat or drink what’s there. The amount it holds means that I can fill it with water or dry food and leave it for them all day. It has (thankfully) leg extensions for mine which can be removed if your dogs are shorter.

It has higher walls making it deep so less drips and spills from the dogs enjoying what we put in it! It has rubber feet to prevent them from moving it around and causing skid marks, I love that so much! Since it is plastic, no more rust and is durable if you use it outside! Since I have multiple pets, indoor and outdoor, I plan on getting more of these! Highly recommended and the price is great!.

I have had six different Junkie bowls for my dogs, currently using five as one broke to the point I could not repair. The old model used to be more sturdy in the biggest size, which is not made anymore unfortunately.

They also used to have a variety of colors which is not offered any longer. The material is heavy enough for big dogs not to tilt it, but in the event it falls, it will most likely break as it is hollow.

Regarding my picture: ⚫️ This was the biggest size but not as heavy as the new brown one. I also like that the base was wider. 🟤 New model, heavier but wish the base was wider and for more colors. 🔴 My favorite design overall.

We prefer this design cause of the bowl attachment. Saves us from bringing a separate bowl with our bottle of water. Love that it’s all in one. We weren’t sure if our boy would like drinking from the other bottle designs where the vessel flips down cause he’s a flat nose.

He seems to have an easier time drinking from an actual bowl. Also a great size when we know we’ll be out for a good portion of the day. Keeps the water nice and cool for him. Would purchase again and is exactly what we needed.

I love this bottle! I use it on family outings with my 55-pound dog and 3 kids. It keeps water cool for everyone. While the bowl is significantly smaller than my dogs regular bowl at home, it is larger enough for her to drink from comfortably.

I just refill it if she seems particularly thirsty. It\’s the perfect size for on the go. I feel better about the reservoir being stainless steel. Water in a plastic bottle on a hot day just isn\’t good.

Plus, it\’s well-insulated and free water stays cold and fresh. It is a bit heavier than other options, but for its large capacity, I don\’t mind it as I\’m not living multiple bottles for the whole family any more.

Another plus is that Asobu has great customer service! My first bottle had a slight defect with its screw on the handle bracket. After sending photos of the issue, the company sent a replacement to me within a week.

This was my 5th Rtic Dog Bowl to purchase. I have replaced all 3 of my Labradors’ food and water bowls with these (3 for food and 2 for water). These bowls work better than any other bowls that I have tried.

We absolutely loves these for our big dog. They’re heavy duty making it great for pups that tend to chew everything. We’ve had ours for almost two years and they still look new.

the bowl is an addition to others our pup already has. Initially, there was a production flaw with the latest bowl, but the vendor immediately and graciously took action to replace it. Very pleased.

Great- only annoyance is when you put it in the dishwasher the inside of the bowl collects water and it’s difficult to get it out

I have a golden retriever who can make a giant mess when getting a drink of water, but this bowl has helped to change that. My dog loves car rides and we typically take him with us for outings. I have always had to bring a dish and make him get out of the car for a drink because he makes a huge mess.

I couldn’t believe what a difference this water bowl made. The lip on the top really does help to keep him from splashing water everywhere. Now it just runs back into the dish. The inside of my car stays dry and my dog is happy to not have to jump in and out of the car so many times.

He is a little older and his hips get sore fast so I like to save him from climbing and jumping whenever I can. We have taken a few trips now, and my car has stayed dry through all of them.

As long-time dog owners we have tried various ways to easily provide water to our pets while traveling. So excited to have found “Wander Water Bowl”! The angled design and gripper bottom help to keep the bowl lying flat on the car seat; the tapered lip helps to limit splashing.

And if your doggie thinks it would also make a fun chew toy, the bowl is flexible, but very sturdy.

So I really put this no-spill bowl to the test! I filled it halfway with water and then put ice cubes in it. I then put it on the floorboard of the passenger seat of my car and drove to the park with my dog (he always gets cold water after good walk).

I drove a little crazier than usual: some hard-ish stops and sharp turns. We made it to the park with no spills. Very impressive. You need a no-splash, no-spill bowl? This is your bowl. Tip: to empty the container in full and dry it out, turn it inside out.

Otherwise, you’ll leave water in it to sit.

I LOVE this bowl! I have a 36lb female pitbull rescue named Brie. She is the sweetest dog, but inhales her food like a vacuum cleaner on steroids, and then acts like she’s expecting seconds! I mix dry kibble with basmati rice, poached egg with the water or broth, and canned food.

I then pack/smash it down into the compartments with a spatula. I have a 106lb Anatolian Shepherd I feed just outside the back door off the laundry room, and a 5lb Chihuahua fed in the kitchen. Brie gets her bowl ‘last’ in the laundryroom/mudroom.

Prior to getting this bowl she would eat like she hadn’t eaten in days and be the first one done. With this bowl, once she’s finished, she isn’t anxiously looking around for more food. Her stomach now has time to send a message to her brain that she’s actually eaten and her stomach is full! Since I keep towels on the floor to prevent dogs tracking in dirt and mud, I put her bowl on one of the bath towels, and with her standing on the towel, the bowl barely moves.

She also has a big dog bed in the laundry room and I sometimes put the bowl down in the corner of the bolstered bed. Washing the bowl after every meal also helps prevent the bowl from sliding around smooth surfaces.

A good rubber backed rug or outdoor rubber welcome mat would probably prevent sliding as well.

First of all, I got TWO for under $10 (total with shipping). Also, in the store, I trually believe these would easily cost at least $15-$20 EACH – maybe more. We are very happy with them, they are not cheaply made either.

If I had a criticism, and this is not a complaint, but the non-skid is not as good as I was hoping. Part of the problem is the edges are curved and the dog will push it agaist the wall. Being plastic, they are not very heavy, so very few skids will work.

But the skid protection on them is pretty good (but not amazing). Maybe a 7 out of 10. Everything else is a 10 on them. As far as slowing them down, our dogs will still still eat faily fast, but it is much better.

Also, we bought large bowls and we have medium sized dogs (50-55lb), but the small were too small. so went with medium. They are the right size in my opinion. If I had more money, I do believe the metal ones may be heavier and skid less, but they are $25-$35 each and I just could not afford that for two dogs.

So we love these and they should last for years (easy, very well made). They are not thin or flimsy and the grip on the bottom is not going to fall off easiily. Also, shipping was very fast ship. Especially for free shipping.

We have two big dogs in separate pens and bought one for each of them. Installation was quick and easy and these are so convenient! Now we can feed our dogs without opening the gate and having a possible escape.

And, if someone else feeds our dogs when we’re away, they don’t have to go into the pen with the dogs to feed them. We love these and wish we had had them years ago! We highly recommend them!.

I have a Blue and Gold Macaw, which is a large parrot. She is difficult for strangers to approach, so this feed and waterer makes it possible for her care when I am away

I have not installed yet on my AKC 10×10 Kennel, but it is a good, sturdy product. It was cheaper thru Petco than other sites, including direct from manufacturer. Looking forward to using it, it will make my life easier.

Great extra pet bowl to have in the house. We enjoy having it because it’s sturdy and easy to use. Doesn’t have a weird plastic smell either.

All of the reviews say how their dog or cat hasn’t (or has barely) knocked this bowl over, but on day 2 of using it my 11 pound cat was able to spill the whole bowl all over the kitchen floor. The floor is a smooth laminate, so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work there.

But, for the sake of not giving up too quickly on this, I tried it on the smooth kitchen counters and even a glass topped table and it’s incredibly easy to push over with one finger. I have to be doing something wrong… Right? At this point it just feels like a slide resistant bowl, not a non-tipping bowl.

I purchased two sets of these and they both got food under the hard plastic that’s holds the sticky bottom. This caused the food to become rotten and smelled horrendous. I could not get the smell out with anything.

I ended up throwing both sets away. The concept sounded great until the smell came and I could not get rid of it. It’s very Unfortunate for how expensive these bowls are I was expecting top quality.

Just got these 2 days ago in the mail They are amazing if you have yet to replace your metal strainers. That tend to never come clean it’s time my friends the future is here and germs are a thing of the past.

Great size and ultra convenient to store. Plus I didn’t realize I got 2. So now I leave one in the car and put the other in our pet bag of water, food, treats and waste bags when going out. Super convenient.

These bowls are both collapsible and light weight, yet hold a good amount of water. Perfect for outdoor activities in the yard and at the dog park.

Great for a light weight bowl to take on hikes. It is very convenient just don’t have plans on using as a regular bowl

I bought this dish for a 3 month old puppy, loving the idea that he wouldn’t be able to dig and play in the dish or tip it over and dump water all over the floor. Unfortunately, the dish has a hole in the side so you can pick it up easily.

Within 5 minutes my pup found the hole, picked it up and proceeded to run around the house with it, covering everything in his path! It is a great concept, just need to get rid of the hole!!!.

My two rotten cats love to dip their paws into the water bowl and drag the water out onto the kitchen floor. Not only did it make the floor a wet mess all the time but their dirty paws made their drinking water dirty.

This bowl stopped them from successfully wetting the floors and now they don’t even try. True fix to a problem. The ring lip on the top of the bowl is removable for easy cleaning.

This bowl works great! The only issue for me was that the bowl is too small. I have 3 small dogs and they drink a lot of water. I purchased the 32oz bowl and found that I really needed the next size up, the 64oz bowl.

So I ordered that bowl, I’ll use the smaller bowl when we go camping.

I walk dogs at a local no-kill animal shelter. Bought this bowl to use on my walks. It is great. The snap is strong and stays on the dog leash handle. Sturdy bowl. I liked it so much I went back and bought one to use when I walk my two dogs.

I had tried many travel bowls for my service dog (a lab) before this one and he didn’t like to drink out of any of them. This one he loves. So do I. It dries quickly, holds enough for quick drinks when we are out for the day and is lightweight and compact.

It’s compact, easy to carry anywhere. This is just what we needed. No clumsy plastic bowls needed.

I have a large lab, and he is forever going through bowls of water, since he likes to play outside so often in the Florida heat. This bowl has been perfect for him! It’s perfect for his size (especially to keep him from making so many messes surrounding the bowl), its heavy enough to stay put on the floor, and it looks clean and classy.

The stainless steel look on the inside appears to stay rather clean, and the black outside gives it a sleek appearance. I love that it has a lifetime warranty, just in case anything happens, but I think this bowl is in it for the long run.

It’s manufactured very well and cleans up nicely after each wash. I give this a 10/10, and so does my pup! We cannot wait to keep using it.

The no-spill water bowls are nice and water does not spill out. I bought two of these and unfortunately one was slightly bent. The bracket hooks were bent offset that made it a bit hard to hang on the crate and have it level.

The cost of these bowls was quite high to not have better quality control to prevent any problems. The fact that they fit the vario crate like they do make them still worth the purchase.

I was excited to replace my black plastic ray Allen non spill bowl that my k9 chewed to pieces with this metal one. The metal one gets the job done but it still spills and lid comes off very easy.

This bowl is a very innovative design and I am pleased with my purchase. The bowl prevents splashes and spills, even while my car is in motion. That said, it is still JUST a stainless steel bowl and I feel the price is very excessive and should be adjusted downward.

It may seem insignificant when purchased as an add on with the kennel but it is a large amount of money for a small stainless bowl.
