20 Best Water Bottle For Bicycle (2023 Updated)

I already had one 24oz polar bottle for road biking that I really like then I bought a mountain bike. After my first ride I knew I’d need a different bottle since the lid stayed covered with dirt and debris.

So naturally I came to Polar for a quality USA made bottle. When I saw the breakaway muck bottles I ordered two. They are great. Keep water cold for a surprisingly long time considering its a plastic bottle ( don’t expect it to work like a stainless vacuum sealed yeti).

The spout cover stays in place and does its job perfectly. My only issue is that the outer plastic is much more cloudy than the pictures suggest so the bottle looks more white than black. If you are really particular about color matching and want a black bottle this probably isn’t for you but if you want a great preforming, USA made bottle regardless of color look no further!.

My daughter loves these! We have floral ones, mermaid, unicorn, etc. so many cute options. I particularly love these bottles because my daughter is a chewer. She chews the straw on most bottles and many brands you can’t buy replacements.

With these you totally can. When one gets questionably chewed, I buy a new pack, replace, and the bottle is like new. I love that they also don’t spill and that they’re a easy to suck on for toddler transitioning to use straws.

We loved these water bottles. I have a two year old and a 4 year old and both have two each. We are buying two more because the kids love them so much. I love all the designs the kids choose. Easy to clean and durable.

The kids drop them all the time and they always survived. Not sure what other people are complaining about. The straws leak a little bit if you turn them upside down and shake pretty hard. I have thrown out all the other bottles and only use these.

Great quality. Bottle size is on the smaller side, so if your bike has limited space in the front triangle, this is great. Wish it had a dust cap tho. Trails in so cal are dusty and dry. Typically shipping is fast but this time it took a little bit to get to me.

Still not bad tho with everything happening in the world.

Convenient water bottle for the days on track. wouldn’t really recommend for trail riding, the spout tends to open up under vibration and leak. Overall very pleased.

AWESOME bottle and “magical connect” system. but. I like to keep my right hand on the handlebars while drinking and riding. The mechanism only really allows the right hand to disengage the bottle when mounted on the top of the down tube.

Hopefully they come up with a left hand friendly mechanism. The cap isn’t the best. If you squeeze the bottle you’ll flood your Jersey. Not easy to find another cap but an old Hammer bottle had the right threads.

Otherwise the coolest water bottle “cage” ever!.

I bought this product in store instead of on the website. For under seven dollars this was a great value since it included a water bottle holder, a full sized water bottle and two metal strips and screws which I assume are meant to be used if you don’t have pre-drilled holes in your bike frame.

I don’t have pre-drilled holes in my bike frame, so I expected to purchase some metal hose clamps, which I did. The bottle holder’s frame is a good quality and worked well with the hose clamps I bought.

The water bottle can hold up to 23 OZ/ 650 ML of water and is of good quality. A plus was that this item included two metal strips with pre-drilled holes which I assume are for bikes that don’t have a place for a water bottle holder.

The problem is that the instructions are poorly written, so I had to guess what there were for and how to use them. Another negative is that they only came with a screw set for one metal strip. Either way, the strips weren’t long enough for the wide poles on my bike frame so they were useless.

Overall this was a great purchase. Because the holder is tabbed it works great for hose clamps if you need to use them to attach it to your bike.

The best part of the bottle is that hasn’t leaked yet! I guess that’s what one would want from their water bottle. The cage, however, is a different story. While the screw holes matched up with the bike frame screw locations, the cage does not grasp and hold the bottle in as securely as I would want.

The bottle falls out easily. I bought this while a reduced price was being offered and, for that reason, this was a good value buy. The materials are typical for this product and not much to write home about.

I have a Schwinn bike so this product fit.

Mine came in this exact silver color, arrived quickly, as depicted, in new condition. I have another water bottle that is clear, which makes it easiest to clean, however this silver water bottle does look great on my bicycle ! Good price, good quality, what’s not to like ? The aluminum holder was made accurately, and the mounting holes lined up perfectly, and the bottle fit securely.

I like the dust cover on top too.

I finally bought some fresh new Podium bottles to replace the three that I had which I estimate I’ve rotated between using everyday for the last 9-10 years (clearly I loved the bottle). Much to my disappointment upon receiving the new bottles, they were nothing like my original bottles and the design has gone TERRIBLY downhill since I first purchased the Camelbak Podium bottle.

All indentations and ridges that used to be around the outside-middle of the bottle and lid for enhanced grip during everyday or wet conditions had been replaced with a smooth, slippery surface. The locking feature on the lid is now a hard, sharp plastic that is difficult to grip and turn, as opposed to the more rounded and softer locking mechanism from before.

But the worst part is the awful new spout design which squirts a wider stream of water than before and does not shoot in a straight or even flow. I’ve always drank from these bottles by tipping the bottle down above my open mouth and squirting water in, but when doing that with the new Podium bottles, water mists and splashes all over my face and chin, forcing me to wipe my mouth area after every single use which is terribly annoying.

Safe to say I went back to my 10-year-old bottles!! When I ordered my 3 new bottles, only 2 came in the package and I had to work with customer service to get my third bottle shipped. just further disappointment in the apparent state of the company/brand.

Lots of scratches after one season of 2-10 hours of riding per week. Also, the mouthpiece was harder and less pleasant to use than all of my other bottles (including other Fox bottles?) But, they’re 6 bucks, and I’m gonna buy another one for aesthetics.

The bottle was a little smaller than I was expecting when it arrived. It hold approximately 500ml. It is made well though and is easy to drink out of. Super-light body that is easy to squeeze while you are on the move.

Compared to camelback it doesn’t take as much squeezing to push water out. The bottle itself is softer and would mold well to the ottle holder.

The Cannondale Speed C Waterbottle Cage works as intended.

I normally get your basic bicycling water bottles, but they were out of stock when I bought this one. 90% of the time I use these is just for every day water drinking. The anti-spill works well, but it is kind of distracting how the bottle will slowly over the next 15-60 minutes ‘creak-creak-creak’ as its pressure comes to equilibrium.

Sometimes it startlingly comes out of the blue after an hour of being quiet. The twist-to-lock feature is effective, but because of how hard it is to twist, I am unlikely to use it except for deep-in-the-backpack-on-a-long-hike storage – leaving no more casual ‘lock’ mechanism.

So I think I’m likely to stick to the basic pop-and-squirt bottles for future purchases.

Comparing this 21 fluid ounce variant to the 24 ounce variant. The do hold different volumes, and this one uses those 3 ounces of volume for thermal insulation. In testing water from the same starting temperature on the same day, the 21oz unit kept the liquid appreciably colder than the 24oz variant; the 24oz’s water had equilibrated to ambient temperature after about 2hr cycling outdoors (~20°C, mildly sunny), while the 21oz’s water remained cool.

It fits well within my Specialized water bottle cage, securely but also easy to remove from the correct angle. The nozzle is easy to clean, including the inner faces of the spout jet. The inside of the lid is a simplified design over CamelBak’s design from 10y ago, and is markedly easier to clean.

There is a removable element that greatly eases cleanup. The twist-to-seal function works as expected, and I am satisfied with it. Both this and the 24oz. variant are good products; one holds more water, the other holds its cooler.

Great capacity, the nozzle doesn’t leak, scratches appear but like on every bottle. Good protection against mud and dust. For a normal bottle it’s OK for the price. The weak point is the protection, you have to hold the bottle cap strongly and precisely to open/close it, otherwise it will just turn the protection around the cap.

As the main purpose of this bottle is the protection, it’s not well designed. So 3 stars. Also I hope the articulation seems weak, I hope it will not break quick.

It’s a very lightweight bottle. Body is made from a #7 plastic, lid from #5 plastic, and the nipple feels like a hard rubber/silicone. Fits very well in a tipsum pro team carbon bottle cage. The walls are rigid enough to not crumpled while going in/out of the bottle cage, even when empty.

The body gets scuffed up easily, but is only superficial. Hope the bottle lasts at least a year.

Hello! I ordered the Elite Fly 550 thinking this was going to be a great purchase. Unfortunately one of the bottles arrived with a huge bend in its side (as if someone had pressed and held it super hard for a good long while).

I thought maybe it would get better after it’s filled with water, but it didn’t. In fact, when squeezed, it only bends in this specific deformation, trapping water in the bottle even though it should all come out.

Update: Got an email from Cyclop saying they resolved the issue. But they haven’t done a thing. I guess they just don’t want a bad review being left unresolved (at least in public).

Saw a review of Elite carbon cages online. Bought a pair, then discovered they are not standard cage size- you have to buy these smaller diameter Elite bottles. So I did. How can a company mess up water bottle design in the 21st century? Rubber valve tip won’t stay open, keep sliding down/shut.

When I grab the bottle to drink, water squirts out sides of valve and onto face/jersey, not in mouth. Two carbon cages and bottle go into trash. Can’t touch the perfection of Camelbak bottles.

Perfect Quick buy cycling bottle. Great size 750ml. Fully clean new product. Had to purchase at department entry due to Covid 19, was given the option to view the item to check on size for bike. Over all fully happy with the purchased product and the help from the Eastleigh Halford Staff.

I initially bought two of these Elite Ombra bottles to match my new bike but ended up buying two more as they are that good. In fact,I tried to order two more today but sold out at the moment. The price was good.

I was able to order on the click and collect app so I needn’t worry that I wouldn’t be able to buy or if they had sold out. Social distancing at the store was in place and customers controlled at the entrance.

A good shopping experience.

Allows you to carry more water if you only have one bottle cage. It occupies the same space as a 700ml insulated drum. It’s very light. It gives the impression of being fragile but I have been using it every week for 4 months without problems.

The print fades quickly. This is a detail to take into account if you are buying another elite bottle with a specific design such as your favorite team. The stopper is of good quality, no leakage and good water flow when drinking.

The cover allows to keep the cap clean in case of mud.

I bought 2 of these and hoped they would live up th their reviews. They do! The best thing I like about it is the water flow. When riding you want to get as much water down you in the shortest possible time.

This has great flow and they are light and easy to squeeze. Time will tell if the lightness effects their durability.

Have wanted to get these Bivo bottles for awhile to try out. As has been said, the flow rate is great – just tip and the water comes out generously without effort. The spout opens/closes easily and it’s pretty lightweight – not enough weight for me to notice a difference between plastic and this, which is great.

I appreciate that this should last longer and not create more plastic in landfills too. My biggest gripe is that in this day, I don’t understand why the bottle can’t be insulated to keep the liquid cold/hot.

I do hope that a version is coming that will do so because these would be perfect if that was the case. As they are today, I can’t give more than an average rating.

Can’t see any reason why this is a $40 water bottle? The bottle doesn’t flow water any better than a standard Polar bottle that costs less than 1/2 the price, and the bottle is no better at maintaining beverage temperatures.

In fact, as far as keeping water contained in it cool I’d say it’s inferior to a standard Polar bottle. Seems like a take on Klean Kanteen products, and for what you get the price is silly. 1 rating is for the price based on the actual performance of the bottle.

This bottle was purchased mainly for the color and design. I wanted a larger one, but they were out of stock. The smaller version is a bit too small and doesn’t hold enough liquid. On longer rides, you will find yourself refilling often.

The exterior has also started to peel a bit. Not a win for me.

This is a great little bottle. The cap provides great flow, and the bottle material is supple enough to squeeze easily, but does not feel cheap. The bottle cleans easily and has not held onto flavors going from electrolyte to water.

I’ve ridden with it a few times during the #festive500, and have not had any leaks. As seems to be the case with other products I’ve purchased from Rapha, it’s the little details that I enjoy. In this case I like the pro team tag on the backside, yes I filled it out.
