20 Best Water Boots For Work (2023 Updated)

Normally, I’m a size 10. 5 wide. I want these boots for winter kayaking and after reading the reviews complaining about tight fit I ordered size 12 and 15 boots to see how they’d fit wearing wool underwear, two wool socks and a dry suit covering all of that.

The size 12 felt tight and remained feeling that way after 30 minutes. The size 15 felt comfortable the whole time. That said, size 15 is a whole lot of boot for someone used to 10. 5. The width is great but the length extends an inch and half beyond my big toe, so 15 is a compromise but I’m going with that to keep comfortable feet kayaking during the winter.

I wonder how well they will work as a hiking boot for a few miles, were that to become needed. I wish NRS simply made the boots with a choice of much wider widths for a given size.

Shoes were great way to keep warm. Used them in lake Erie with about 59 F water temperature and air temperature around 60-65F so just at or slightly above the 120 rule. Feet and toes were warm all day(9 hours) Stones and mud were kept away from feet with the neo sock and the stones easily washed out with a little running water.

Only drawback is the internal sock is cold when putting on the next day and wet shoes were a bear to put on when wet shoe and dry foot. Normal for wetsuit. Stones and sand tended to collect between the neo sock and the shoe side under the laces.

Stones and sand were not noticed until the end of the day when cleaning mud from shoes and I had a pile of silt in the wash sink. Laces stayed locked in place even while kneeling in the canoe.

After reading other reviews on the difficulty of putting this boot on and off I sized up and ordered size 12 and a pair of the 2mm booties, my normal shoe size is US 10. 5-11. That arrangement is way too tight, the boots fit me fine without the booties.

It does take some wrestling to get them on and off, that’s why the 4 star rating, otherwise as a wading shoe they are great and so is the price compared to anything else out there. Traction is good for not having steel studs on the treads.

Tip: after lacing the shoes up secure the laces with the Velcro strap and they will stay put instead of catching on debris and untying.

It really works well my feet are dry and safe so I can perform my activities confidently and comfortable.

Great boot — so comfortable. Wore fishing and waded in to almost the top of the boot — no leaks!

Have worn Muck Boots almost every single day for roughly the last four years, for work in kennels, dog walking, nipping to the shops, really just about everything. I’ve had a few pairs in that time as I do really put them through their paces – they tend to last around a year to eighteen months before getting a hole either in the upper or the sole, which I think is fair enough given the abuse they take! As my current pair, in the ‘Tack’ style, have become too holey for any kind of damp/wet weather, I decided to get a new pair.

I usually go for the Tack, which is no longer available, or the Hale, which unfortunately was out of stock in every colour in a size 3. Becoming desperate, I decided to spend a little more and order the Chore.

When they arrived I was pleased, they look good quality and are a bit more sturdy than my previous styles. When I put them on, they felt ever so slightly tight but that is normal with a new pair and I expected that with a little wear they would stretch like all my previous pairs have, so foolishly I decided to go outside and do some work to wear them in a bit.

I took them off after an hour and had lost all sensation in my toes – they almost seemed to have got tighter rather than looser! I don’t really want to continue wearing them because I’m concerned that they might damage my feet.

I did realise that I shouldn’t be eligible to return them as I had worn them, but hoped that customer service might at least offer some form of alternative if I explain that I had had several perfect-fitting pairs of Muck Boots in the past, all the same size as this pair, and that I can’t really afford to buy yet another pair at the price (finances having been hard hit by Covid), but that I need boots for working.

Unfortunately I was just asked if I had checked the size guide on the website (I had, I have a 22cm foot so a size 3, not that I should need to as all their styles should fit the same and all my previous Muck Boots have been size 3), and then told that they can’t accept returns of worn items.

With a clean up they’d be almost like new. Now left with a choice between wearing ill-fitting shoes and potentially hurting my feet, wearing my old leaky ones, or spending money that we don’t really have for another new pair.

A shame as I’ve always been so impressed with my Muck Boots and can’t find much else like them.

I received these as a gift for when I want to do some casual fly fishing in the creek by our house. I wore them on day one and was in the water for only a short time before hiking upstream to try a few different spots from the bank.

On day two I wore them in the creek again, which was about 8 inches deep. Before long I noticed my left sock was soggy. A short while later my right sock was soggy. When I got home I confirmed both boots where wet inside.

When I held the boot up and pointed the toe at the ground, water started coming out of the seam where the rubber half-circle on the heal meets the sole of the boot. This leak was present on both boots, and on both sides of each boot.

Muck boots have a great reputation so this is probably an isolated issue, but it is still an issue. I hope this review helps them identify what went wrong during manufacturing so they can fix it and save future customers from the hassle of wet feet and extra trips to the store.

These work amazing (when they work) and are comfortable in muddy, water filled conditions. Not cold either. Issue is that you have to make sure they are 100% waterproof. I HIGHLY recommend trying them on then test them in water up pass the seams with the soles.

Just cover up your entire foot then rotate, flex and bend as you would in uneven ground. If you feel any micro leaks then they’re probably going to be bad. I used my first pair live in a stream and I had occasional leaks (just a drop or two, so very small leaks) when moving through mud.

It happened more often on my left boot than my right. Mind, my socks never got soaked but you can’t mistaken the kiss of water on your socks so I got through the day just fine. If you don’t test/use it in similar conditions (lots of water) you probably won’t ever notice this.

Since these are advertised as 100% waterproof then they better be and it’s price. My first use was 99. 99% waterproof at best. At the very least, these micro leaks hints at where the boots will fail at and which one will fail first.

Hopefully this is a fluke since the boots are great otherwise. I got a replacement incoming so hopes it goes well. Edit: Replacement pair went through a bucket test with me flexing my feet without any lick of water.

The first pair was like within 5-10 minutes of me feeling it without the amount of flexing I did with the test pair to get any hints of water. I’m going to keep the review as a three star due to the need to even test my purchase.

I’ll update if this fails too.

I go through a lot of muck boots on the farm. I seem to cycle through a different brand of cheap boot every time I wear a pair out. I usually buy them out of convenience, whatever is available at the time I need a pair.

This purchase was no different, I was in need of boots, and these were being promoted. They look well made, a bit on the flimsy side, but the biggest drawback is they feel like a tire is strapped to my foot, not a boot made for human beings.

I bought a pair of gel inserts, hoping that would help, but while that made them as expensive as a better pair of boots, they were still miserably uncomfortable. Sad to say, these are a failure, I would not recommend them to a friend, or a respected foe.

These boots are made by Dunlop (the tire company) and they are very well made. I like the pull-up holes at the top and the smooth interior lining that make it easy to slip these on. I ordered size 13 (my shoe size).

They originally fit a little loose, but I put in some sole inserts I had and now they fit snug and with improved comfort. These boots weigh about 2. 5 pounds each, but I quickly got used to that, and I’m sure my legs benefit from the extra workout.

They measure exactly 14″ from the floor to the top of the boot, per the published specs. Zoro got these to me in two days, and I think Zoro’s pricing is a bargain. Whenever I go to any local stores to buy these kind of chore boots they never have my size, so that’s why I bought them from Zoro.

I purchased these boots because I was getting tired of getting my tennis shoes wet or grassy. I was also concerned with copperhead snakes so figured having these would give me an extra layer of protection when combined with pants.

They run large however. I’m a size 10. 5 US and they came in 10 or 11 so I purchased the size 11’s. Ideally, I think the 10’s would have been better but now just wear two layers of socks and that seems to do the trick.

I purchased these as a gift for my husband. He tried them on at the store. He wore them out hunting the first two days. His exact words were ” These are the most expensive worst boots I have ever owned.

” The sole was not strong causing his feet to hurt. The boots rubbed on the back of his shins causing sores not on one but both legs. I have read hundreds of reviews on these boots and did my research, disappointed is an understatement.

These boots are overrated. I contacted Muck boot by email. Their response was bring it back to Tractor Supply and return them under the warranty, and they would let them know they were coming back. They did not.

Spoke with Manager at my store and she advised me to bring them in and she would return them no questions asked. Spend your money wisely, and my opinion is this is not wise.

I enjoy lengthy walks in nature and whilst my walking boots were adequate for the summer months, I needed some totally waterproof boots for ventures into extremely muddy places during the wet winter season! I had some basic, inexpensive wellies and after a short walk in these, I ended up with sore ankles as they rubbed and were a poor fit.

After much research, I settled on trying some Muck Boots for an upgrade. Happy to say, these wellies are excellent and very comfortable for extended periods of wear having walking on varied terrain, and they are 100% waterproof.

The neoprene upper makes them feel lighter and not at all clumsy like traditional wellies do. The insoles are cushioned and soft, featuring a special coating to prevent odours.

I bought the pair primarily for gardening because I don’t like dirt getting inside my Muckster II mid all the time. I wear size 7. 5, so I ordered size 8 instead of ordering 1/2 size down as suggested on the webpage, because I wanted to wear thicker socks (my Muckster II mid is also size 8).

Plus, I trusted the product description that the boots would accommodate wider feet (My left foot is wider than the right foot). WRONG! First of all, a pair of size 7 boots came in a size 8 box. (I shouldn’t put the blame on the Dicks if the mistake was made by the manufacturer.

) But since size 8 is no longer available (and nowhere else including the Original Muck boot itself), I have to settle for size 7 wearing thinner socks. I tried to make it work by trying out different shoe inserts that I had with me (the ones that came with the boots were a joke), and Keen shoe inserts worked Ok giving me just enough arch support.

Second, while size 7 boots were OK for size 7. 5 feet, they were definitely not very comfortable for someone who likes Birkenstock-style wide toebox shoes. “Flexible fit” description only applies to various calf diameter, not feet width.

So don’t be fooled. I didn’t have to write this review if I received the correct size or if I could exchange for the correct size. So disappointed because I like my Muckster II mid.

I literally researched about garden boots and this brand came up as ones of the most recommended ones. Then I found out that zulily had them on sale. The package took almost two weeks to arrive, so this is not for impatient people.

When I finally got them in my hands, I was pleased with the quality of the boots: the perfect sole to prevent sliding on the mud, sturdy toe box and heel to prevent hits when working around your garden, a little bit heavy but that just makes them great as garden boots.

Although they would work well as rain boots, my sense is that these are made for work -garden/outdoors work. The sole is not flexible and seems sturdy. There’s a detachable tag with the temperature that you’re protected against and it’s 65 F or 18 C, that means, these are not for winter.

They have detachable insoles for you to clean them easily; comfortable to wear, definitely beautiful. You can fold down the neoprene shaft and use them as booties and they look pretty with a Muck logo, visible only when you actually fold down the shaft.

Then the booties are just green, no veggies visible, just the Muck logo. Why just 4 stars? Because they are way too large. I usually wear 8. 5 and when there’s no middle size available, if I size down, shoes won’t fit.

That’s why I order number 9 and they are waaay too large. I suspect even 8 will be perfect and not a potential 8. 5. Unfortunately, I have to return them, and there’s the possibility that I won’t find them available from this brand, when I finally get my zulily credit, after they receive the boots back and process everything, since they don’t make refunds and I don’t want to pay again.

I’m sure I would have loved them till the last day of my life if I could just keep them.

I was thrilled with these boots when I first got them – warm, robust-feeling, well-soled and very comfortable. They were also easy to get on and much less hassle than full-length wellies. I wanted to use them for gardening and dog-walking in bad weather, and initially they seemed perfect for my uses.

But. less than a year later (and after only moderate use), I suddenly became aware that the sock on my right foot was damp when I took the boots off. I dismissed it at first as perspiration, until, after a particularly muddy session, my right sock was also mud-stained.

Close inspection revealed that the crease formed in the boots above one’s toes when one kneels or squats while gardening had caused the rubber to split and was now leaking. Although disappointed with this development, I continued to use them while being careful to never walk in mud or water deep enough to get the top of the foot wet.

Although somewhat limiting, this was generally manageable, until I then discovered that the same boot was now leaking just above the sole, and getting the edge of my right foot wet/muddy. Inspection has shown that the seam between the moulded sole and the part covering the foot had parted, and now lets in water.

This has happened in a part of the boot that doesn’t seem to suffer any stresses from movement during use. Is it a coincidence that both failures occurred in the same boot (while it’s partner remains intact)? Was it simply a rather poorly made boot that slipped through insufficient quality-control? Who can say.

My Muck boots are now dry weather-only boots, which rather defeats the whole point of them. Very disappointing, and I have no intention of spending that much on another pair, seeing as I can get a similar performance with superior durability far cheaper.

I fail to take off house shoes when headed to the garden or mail box. Then shoes get muddy. Time to try Muck Boots. Had to order them at TractorSupply. com as they were not stocked in my local store.

Ordered a 10 though I wear 9. 5. Added thicker sock and wore them the better part of a Saturday working in the woods. Lost count of how many wheelbarrow load of soil and mulch I moved. Surprised by secure footing controlling full wheelbarrow down slopes and pushing empty wheelbarrow back up slopes.

Have used them with rain gear as it is just so simple to slip my foot in and out. No shoelaces to slow you down. Heavy socks barely fit in my mocks so then I have to reach for shoe horn. Can be in and out of Muck boots in not time.

I do have a narrow foot so counted on heavy socks. May experiment with adding to provided insole. Not looked at that option yet. Happy with my new purchase.

Ive has these for a week now. I work in a kennel and deal with a lot of water to clean them as well as concrete and tile. I love that i dont slip in these boots on wet tile like other similar boots. They are flexable with is amazing because ive had boots split where they bend when squating.

My feet also didnt hurt nearly as much as they normally would in a pair of new boots worn all day long. They were a little tight at first but the leather loosened up quickly and they are very comfortable.

I also love that the sole is sewn on, with extra on the toes to ensure it wont come off, ots also a thick sole so i dont have to worry about them wearing out fast. My only complaint is that they are meant to be water proof but my feet are still getting wet.

Im going to try sealing them with an oil and hopefully that will fix it. Id suggest getting the next size up with boots (you wear size 8 1/2, id get 9). I gave 4 stars because the water is a major thing in my job and it is extremely unpleasant to work 8 hrs or more with wet feet, but otherwise the boots are amazing.

I have worn these boots for two winters, only around the house, and in the beginning maybe to church. I liked them because they were quick to get on and off to go in and out to the shed for tools, or just working outside after I got off my actual job.

I do not work hard in these. The leather on the interior by the heel detached from the back of the boot within 6 months of wear. I really liked the boots for those 6 months. My wife sewed the leather back up and that held up for about another 3 months.

Just pulled them out of the closet to use for the fall and stepped into them and the fabric above the heel is now ripping also while I try to fight to get them on. I love Carhartt stuff. I’m currently wearing Carhartt socks, shirt, and pants.

I have the same Carhartt coat from High School, I’m now 30. These do not deserve the Carhartt name, especially for the price.

Short answer- if your rough on boots id skip these Long answer- i work construction up in the mountains and decided to give these a try for their waterproof feature for mud and snow. They lasted one winter for me and were hard to break in.

I bought these in the normal size i wear and tried them on in the store, they felt great. I will attest that the traction, looks and waterproofing were great!! Longevity is the issue. The leather wore out over the steel toe really fast from kneeling and toe rub on the steel toe is horrible.

The leather being thin and wearing a hole makes them no longer water proof. For the money im bummed about these issues only owning them for about 3 or 4 months. Theyre about to get swapped back out for my old broke down thorogoods for good.

My fiance bought these for me for Christmas and I absolutely Loved them. But then I hated them because 6 months later, they started falling apart. The outside toe started fraying apart and the sole completely fell off of them.

Would not recommend anyone to waste their money on these. And here I thought Lugz was a good brand. No repeat customer here.

I love these boots!!! These boots are light, comfortable, and warm, and best of all, cute! I bought these in pink. First I ordered my usual size, but it was a bit snug, so I went a half size up (6. 5) and with thick socks, they were the perfect winter boots.

I definitely recommend these. It’s very rare to find shoes that are comfortable AND cute!.

I read reviews and took a chance on an online purchase. I wanted something to wear for when I need more warmth and protection from snow and slush than I’d get from regular shoes, and boots would be overkill.

I believe in being practical without sacrificing fashion. These shoe boots look and feel great. I haven’t given them the ice and slush test, but I think they’ll pass as well as any boot, even better with the foot support that some boots don’t offer.

I think I ordered a half size larger to wear thick socks when I want. With thinner socks, I have enough volume to insert my orthodics. They look really cool in tights — high quality. I stain-treated the suede for added protection.

The fur is a really nice tough. It looks real — soft, not like a rat chewed on it.

Couldn’t give a 5star. I ordered wide got a medium. Don’t know if they come in a wide now. If they do, then shipping personnel needs to be able to read the invoice. The INVOICE states in black & white (10 wide).

After loosening the laces all the way and putting in my arch supports with the original foot bed liner, adjusted laces and was very glad that the boots did not feel too tight on my toes. These boots will be my new EDC/ hiking/ out and about wear.

Would still prefer a wider toe. I’ll see how they hold up come this spring. Not recommend for winter as they are not insulated. OK for short periods in winter. And thank you to customer service for providing tracking information.

Still don’t know if I ever got the original as I delete a ton of junk/spam daily.

I love the fit of these boots and have owned 4 pairs. But, twice I had to replace boots with a lot of remaining life due to one of the rivets holding the lacing eyes pulling out of the boot. The first time the boots were new enough that the manufacturer replaced them.

The second time it was the replacement pair that developed the issue. Since this pair was older and I had no receipt I didn’t contact the manufacturer. I have bought this same boot again because it is easier than finding a another option.

I work in a warehouse and put 8-10 miles on these boots every workday. I’ve had them for 11 months and can’t believe how well they’re holding up! Still look like new! Even the laces are tough as nails! BEST boots I’ve ever bough! Comfortable, durable, good looking, etc.

I walk so much that I need to swap out the insoles every 30 days but the boot soles show almost ZERO wear! I’ve blown through several heels in my socks but the boots are rock-solid! Crazy! Worth every penny!.

They are the most comfortable rain boots I purchased. I currently own some muck boots (that I still like in the snow or mud but they are way more bulky), owned some hunter boots and other cheaper ankle rain boots and they did not compare to the Xtratuf rain boots.

I bought these last spring and I am so happy with them. The size 6 fit perfectly! I typically wear size 6 or 6. 5. The boots aren’t too narrow or too loose. For the price, comfort and versatility this item gets two thumbs up! On the plus side they are lightweight, easy to put on and off to go in the garden, and they are great for any fishing trip (white/neutral sole).

Small downsides; not made to go on a big walk/hiking adventure, they are flat, and don’t have grip. The Xtratuf sticker on the front peeled off after a week of use, but it doesn’t affect the quality of the boot, so I don’t care.

If you choose the black color it may get hot in the sun (in summer) and rain boots aren’t breathable so you can expect sweaty feet in that case. Still one of my best purchase!.

I own a Browning Bar Sarfari II with Boss and have tried other ammo and could not get pass throughs and not getting quick humane kills. Purchased these to try and was impressed with 3/4 “ 100 yards group.

Sweet spot Boss setting of 2. Shot a 150 hog tonight and she didn’t take a step. Shot was at 60 yards and center of shoulder. She was quartering to and the exit was last rib. Exit was not large but bullet could have fragmented.

Regardless the bullet causes an enormous amount of trama. These animals are extremely tough so drop dead on impact shots are not expected. These rounds are my new go to rounds. We will see how they perform on deer but I think they will perform great!.

The boots themselves are perfect. Great boots for any wet or sloppy environment, comfortable for a lot of walking, while still being “cute”. I’m a true size 8. 5. For these I had to size down to an 8, whereas the tall legacy boots I size up to 9.

My only caution is shipping. They advertise shipping from the warehouse in 1-3 business days and I received a shipping confirmation email on day 2, but the boots were not actually received by the shipping company until day 10, which feels like false advertising.

Not the end of the world if you’re not on any specific timeline. Customer service was less than helpful. They were defensive, rude (interrupting/talking over me), and unconcerned about helping to find a resolution.

Fantastic boots, just leave plenty of time when ordering, and don’t need customer service for anything.

I’ve bought these before and was very pleased with how they fit and how long they lasted. They are your standard issue rubber boots and they serve their purpose just fine. Wear some thick socks and your feet will be more comfortable, if you need to wear them for an extended period of time.

We use them for oil field, crude oil hauling and most of our drivers have a pair. Don’t absorb oil like so many other work boots, and are easy to wash off if needed. Definitely recommend.

They’re good boots but you will definitely need some padded soles. Once i put them in they are great before though it was like walking barefoot! I hope this helps!

This is a good work boot and I use it around the garden all the time. The treads grip well and it is completely waterproof. The reason I did not give full stars is that these boots run very large. I am a size 10 E (wide) in dress shoes.

I need to wear two pairs of thick socks and the size 10 I got still feels loose. I missed the return window to exchange for the right size so have been working with them. Also, maybe related to the size issue, the tips are fairly loose.

I have pretty thick calves and these boots are still loose on me. So after a day of yard work or power washing, my socks get soaked or I constantly need to remove them to take out random debris that falls inside and starts to poke.

I wound up tying plastic bags around my calves and shoving them into the top of the boot to try and block things going in. See the attached picture my wife took of me power washing our brick walkway, I dropped it so you can see what they claim to be a size 10, looks to be at least a size larger if not a 12 in the picture.

The plastic bags I stuffed around my calves have already slipped in, more there is still room around the calf, can you see how easy it is for dirt and stuff to slip in? For the price I’ll live with it, no need to ruin my nice Timberlands doing yardwork.

My requirements for rain boots are kind of low (it’s hard to be choosy when you wear 10. 5W-11W in women’s shoes); they just need to be waterproof, comfortable to wear, and not cost more than about $25.

These men’s work boots fit those standards pretty well. The top half of the boot shafts are too big around my calves, so there’s a weird flopping sound as I walk. They are super basic and also kind of heavy.

They are 100% waterproof, I’ve worn them in the snow and they have great traction, and weirdly enough, they are pretty warm. Not hiking-on-the-Siberian-steppes warm, but I-need-to-run-errands-in-town warm.

Also, I am not sure if this is normal for men’s work boots but this product has a little lip at the heel to help you kick your boots off. So helpful! They are just wide enough across the forefoot, which is exactly what I needed because my feet are extremely wide there.

The down sides: the steel plate over the toe isn’t well padded or lined, so I can feel it against the tops of my toes as I walk. I feel like the toe box isn’t nearly high enough for my toes. And remember when I said I have super wide feet at the front? Well, my heels are normal width (they’re pretty much flipper-shaped), which means they swim in this boot, so unless I wear socks that extend up my ankle a little, my socks always roll down my heel and under my foot.

Overall, I feel it’s hard to beat these boots for what I need them to do. Excellent value!.

I like that these boots protect my feet and my shins, cause I do bump them as times. Very heavy. And I’m glad I didn’t go a size up (I’m an 8 in women’s, 6 in guys) cause they would’ve been heavy and loose.

The left toe is also very tight. The right one is normal. Been wearing these for 3 weeks at my new warehouse job, and my feet still haven’t adjusted to these boots. Taking a loss and finding another pair that’s more comfortable.

I bought these a month and a half ago and they’re not holding up. Given my occupation is dealing with concrete on a daily but since it’s rubber, I thought they would hold up longer than 6 months but nope.

Disappointed in the pricing for I could have gotten a regular concrete rubber boots at home depot for less than $20 compared to these at 100 dollars more. But I will say that the comfort is nice, although, the insert wore out quick as well so I’ll give it less than a star.

But since it’s vegan friendly, I’ll give it 2 stars.

These rubber work boots are a good choice for keeping the feet dry and saving other shoes from moisture damage. I bought these to wear when there’s still dew in the mornings and ,of course, rainy weather.

The construction is hefty and the tread is aggressive for a slippery conditions. Like most rubber boots, the fit is pretty loose. However, with some thick socks, they are reasonably comfortable.

I’ve owned 3 pairs of steel toe stormers and all 3 were very comfortable. Unfortunately none of them stayed waterproof for more than 4 months of normal use on a brewery floor. The seams around the sole simply don’t hold up and I ended up with soaked feet daily until replaced.

If these were priced for replacement 3-4 times per year I’d keep getting them, but unfortunately that’s not the case.

Bought these to wear to take out our puppy for potty breaks at our apartment. We just had a foot of snow and ice melt (Feb 2022) and the ground is saturated so I needed something to wear for water, mud, pee, and poop protection that will be easy to clean off.

I wear a size 10 medium in ladies (U. S. ) tennis shoes and I ordered a size 9. They fit just fine with or without socks. Not sure what a size 8 would feel like. They might be too small to get my foot and ankle past the ankle part of the shoe? They are on the heavy side, but I don’t mind that as long as they don’t leak.

Easy to get on and off but they are stiff. I’m 5’6 and 180lbs and the calf part of the shoe is not too tight. The outer sole is very think and they seem like they will hold up.

i have purchased about 6 of these boots over the past 2 to 3 years. I used to interchange them with my muck boots. I had to toss them because the heel wore out. Last year when I had to retire My mucks I used the habitat daily.

The heels wear out in a few months. I have ordered some black ones and it looks like the soul is different from the ones I have now. I hope they last I didn’t think to return them because sams club has a 90 day.

I bought these boots a few weeks ago and am writing this review as a warning. The boots performed well for about a week, and then they began leaking water. In the winter snow, this is unacceptable. I can’t wear these boots now.

They were a waste of money. I’m really mad and feel like someone should return my money. It’s a bad product.

I have had these a few weeks, and have already ordered the pull on variant as well. They fit perfectly, the ankle support lace guides actually have holes in them, so you don’t have to reroute the laces every time for ankle support.

Great grip on oily surfaces, waterproof, padded ankle support, and comfortable stock insoles. Internal Metatarsal protection, which is a requirement for my job. I will update in about 3 months, after I’ve had time to truly put them through their paces, but they are definitely worth the investment.

If you work in an industrial/production environment, these are worth the money. My feet are not fatigued at the end of a shift, plenty of ankle support for crouching/squatting repeatedly in a shift. Also very lightweight for safety toe/Metguard protection.

Have yet to find another pair of lace up boots that offer this level of protection, comfort, and *so far* sustainability. Take care of your feet, and they’ll take care of you.

I am writing this with my first wear, I will try and update down the road. When I first open the box I was impressed with the overall look of the boot. First try on I though the boot fit a little snug.

The tongue of the boot seam to sit a little funny. It seams to sit right on top and does not come down the side of your ankle at all witch to me makes it seam a little bunched up?? This also cause the top set of lace holes to line up with the top of the tongue.

When you use the top set and tighten the laces it will cause the knot to come over the tongue and rub on your leg (sometimes). First walk around in them and the boot is pretty loud (might be a break thing).

Interested in seeing how the boot holds up and how the new Flex Metatarsal works. The boot has very good grip (tire company has their name on it so I would hope so… lol) They are light and overall pretty comfortable to wear.

I will try and update in a few months. This boot was bought as a Beta test for the Flex Metatarsal for my employer. I bend and neal down to the floor and walk 8-10k steps during a normal work day.

Boots look very nice, just a big heavy. There are steel toe, but I guess I miss that description where I bought them.

I can’t remember the exact date that I bought these shoes but. I’m going to say it was up to a year. You get what you pay for. They’re expensive, but they have lasted me longer than any other steel toe shoes that I’ve used at my job.

I’m a route delivery truck driver, meaning I’m doing a lot of deliveries, pushing and pulling a lot of heavy weight on pallets, and going into restaurants with greasy floors, walking in snow, walking in the rain, and these shoes have stood the test of time.

Highly recommended.

I have one other pair of Keen boots and they are solid as can be. This new black utility boot with steel toe for my job is tough as nails and can take a beating. These Keen products are top notch footwear and comfortable too.

You can wear them all day without any foot pain for discomfort. The best boots I have ever owned. I’ll keep buying them in the future.

I’ve never had a pair of work boots fit like they were made for me before. From the first second I slipped into them. I’ve only had them on a couple days now and truly hope they soften a little, not much shock absorption to speak of.

That would be my only critical word so far.

I wouldn’t brag on their comfort but I have worn these for the past 6 years all the time during any month that is not summer. In the snow and wherever. Despite me not breaking on their comfort I continue to wear them Time after Time because they are really just that great and I now need another pair.

It took almost 6 years for them to wear out and they have lost their waterproof ability and that is only because I negligently poked a hole in them. I highly recommend these boots. Also I am a female.

I live in South Florida and often go hunting or camping. The land is usually low and marshy or even flooded in the rainy season. On my recent hunt I knew the area was going to have a lot of standing water and muck you sink in when you try to walk.

Not wanting to get unnecessarily wet the first day (of 3 days) I decided to purchase some knee high rubber boots; the price was very reasonable and I was hoping I had not purchased a use once-and-throw-away pair of boots as it is now the rainy season here.

The boots arrived within a couple days and after careful examination I was amazed at the quality of the boots. Every feature was exactly what was advertised and what I was hoping to receive. The ultimate plus was.

they are made in the U. S. A. !!! I previously purchased knee high socks to prevent chafing of my calves, and when I tried on my new boots they fit perfectly, and was comfortable from the first instant.

However, the test would be in the wilderness. 4:00am, up and at ’em. Wearing my new boots, I slogged through the terrain with water and muck over a foot deep all three days (about 3 miles each trip) without one drop getting to my pants leg (and winding up inside the boots).

The tread was aggressive enough to maintain my footing as well as my stability and felt very light. The boots remained flexible enough to walk, climb and wade throughout the various conditions with minimum effort, which was a nice surprise.

I have upcoming hunts planned and will take my boots with me on every one of them; these boots are so comfortable I’ll wear them instead of my go-to tennis shoes! VERY pleased.

I picked these up for my husband because we have property that’s extremely rocky, occasionally swampy, strewn with rusty metal, and has fire ants in the low brush. These are sturdy and watertight and don’t contain rubber/latex, so I can handle them even with my latex allergy, which I can’t do with most other workboots.

The price is excellent. They fit pretty true to size (he said that if there were half sizes, he’d consider going up a half, but then would probably regret it) and accommodate his special insoles, so they’re a hit.

But I ordered a size nine, thinking worse comes to worse I can return them. I won’t be returning the boots, the fit is perfect. I do need to wear a heavy pair of wool socks to get a solid fit, but that’s fine for me, I bought the boots to keep my feet /ankles dry when I am out tromping around in high grass in early mornings.

I always go up at least a half size when ordering work boots and I did note the reviews that say they run “big”. In the A. M. the fit is loose, but not sloppy loose, as they day goes on tho and my feet swell, fit is a bit more snug but not uncomfortably snug.

I have no doubt an 8. 5 would have been on the snug side in the A. M. and uncomfortable by the P. M. The shaft has a good give to it, but they are still a little awkward for driving. I’ll be buying two more pair for my daughters, one who has thick calves and has a heck of a time getting a boot with a shaft that isn’t to tight.

She tried these on and was impressed with how she still had room around her calf to tuck her jeans and not have the foot strangling her legs. Use wise,,,worth the bucks! Not on a farm now days but my life can imitate the farm life I had as a kid.

I walk two huge dober kids twice a day cuz right now we don’t have a place for them to run free and burn energy. They each get 30 minutes twice a day on a long lead. They turn me into a sled at times, we are convinced they were both pull ponies in past lives.

My neighbors joke it looks like I am working a green pony in a round pen when I have them out on long leads and frankly that IS what working them in the morning is like! The boots have a solid non skid sole so they aren’t dragging me across the wet grass/mud/gravel.

I can LOCK DOWN when I need to. We trot and run when we are out and the boots are light weight, have no effect on how well I can pick up my feet to move at a good pace, steady with the guys.

These are great boots to keep my feet and lower legs warm and dry even in single digit weather with thick socks. They are very comfortable for several hours of doing chores around the farm. Down side – top buckle always comes undone but doesn’t change the performance of the boot or how they fit.

Good, affordable option since they last about two years then start cracking and leaking. To me, worth the price for two years.

These are boots are great for a quick jaunt to the curb with the recycling bin on a rainy day but if you intend to wear them for long walks, these are not the boots for you. Buy the lined Classic or Suave model instead.

I have a pair of each and they are very comfortable for walking. As their name suggests, the Digger Mid Farm Boots are better suited for stationary activities in wet or mucky conditions (digging in the gardening, washing the car, etc.

). They are very easy to slip on and off, an advantage if you intend to go in and out frequently. They run big but that’s preferable for traditional rubber boots like these. Better to get them a bit too big and wear a thick pair of socks to improve the fit than run the risk of blisters because they are too tight.

Beware if you want to wear these boots with bare shins – the front edge of the boots very quickly caused a chaffing sore which made them unwearable. The slight gape of the opening and the mid-height size does also mean that soil will easily enter the boot if you’re digging.

Digger mid IMHO is best suited for general gardening but not digging. I also own the Classic mid ultra farm and I wish these Digger Mid’s also had some soft lining at the top edge to prevent chaffing.

My partner wears rubber boots daily, and I found with a tall pair, with his mobility issues, they were getting crushed down as he would pull his pantlegs over the boots. Also cumbersome to get the tall ones on.

When I spotted these Bogs, I ordered a pair and they have been a success. Lightweight, easy on & off, and great for daily wear. True to size, reportedly comfortable and no issues with pantlegs.
