20 Best Water Bladder For Hunting (2023 Updated)

I used this every day over the course of three field seasons in the desert, as well as on backpacking trips, day trips, and camping. After filling, carrying, using, and refilling this thing hundreds of times, I have a pretty good understand of its strengths and weaknesses.

Pros: – Easy and not-frustrating fold-and-seal closure method – Good seal, does not leak even under pressure – The mid-hose disconnect feature is convenient and does not leak Cons: – Blue handle is awkward to hold – Cannot hold bladder with one hand while filling Meh: – The rigid back is supposed to make it easier to slip into a backpack, but it is not rigid enough for that.

There is a little bit of rigidity that helps in this regard a little bit, but not enough. I have tried other bladders with the screw-mouth, and filling and closing those was always so frustrating. Lining up the threads was always difficult, and sometimes you didn’t seal it right and the thing would leak everywhere.

This bladder has a much simpler, and safer, fold-and-seal method that works much better overall. I also like that the hose has a disconnect halfway through, which means you can disconnect the part of the hose threaded through your backpack strap and then take out just the bladder without having a hose waggling around.

I did not think I would use this feature very much, but I actually use it all the time. What I do not like about this bladder is the blue handle. Because of where it is placed and how it is shaped, it is really awkward to hold it with one hand.

And holding it from this handle does not allow the top of the bag to open up to allow water in. This means you cannot hold the bladder with one hand while filling it :(. This is one case in which the bladders with the screw-mouth lid are better – they are easier to hold one handed while you fill.

I would give 3. 5 stars if I could. My biggest dissapointment is that it can’t be filled one-handed.

I really like the features on the Hydra Pack Hydration Reservoir as compared to the previous Nalgene pack that I replaced it with. It is much easier to fill and close. However, there is a major issue for me with the pack leaking over time.

If they can solve this issue I’d recommend the pack hands down. Nit pick – The blue plastic handle eventually pulled away from the silicone bladder after several months of use. If this is indeed meant to be a handle it really should not come unadhered over time.

Deal Breaker – This will be the third time in under a year I have RMA’d the pack due to a pin prick leak that develops in the top corner of the bladder. Warranty support is great, but discovering a wet trunk and half full bladder when I get to the hike isn’t great.

Hydraulics Design Team: I suspect the leak is a design / process issue with how the weld is terminated on the corners. Perhaps rotate the plane of the weld 90 degrees (may be a manufacturing challenge) so that the weld becomes a strip and the pressure is distributed over the area of weld instead of a line terminating at a tangent point.

Either that, or continue the weld around the entire bag to avoid the termination geometry all together. The way the weld is currently being terminated is causing a stress concentrator and there is no margin in the design for the weld degrading.

We have an assortment of Osprey reservoir sizes to match our packs and weather/season conditions. We bought both red and blue Osprey versions, but I gravitate toward the red LT Reservoirs because they save a few grams over the blue reservoirs with plastic plates that assist with sliding full hydration bladders into narrow reservoir sleeves.

I’m sensitive to ‘off’ tastes, so I mix lemon juice with water to neutralize the initial plastic flavor (let it sit overnight then dump before filling with your preferred beverage mixture) and I usually carry Nuun tablets in citrus flavors to pair with water on backpacking trips.

The quick disconnect on the tube is compatible with Katadyn’s pump model attachments–if you kept those small Katadyn adapter pieces that came with the pump. I’ve blown out the seams on three other hydration reservoir brands during ski and cycling falls or rough baggage treatment, but never the Osprey models.

I do have to install replacement silicon nozzles on the bite valves (replacements sold in three packs) on these reservoirs after three or four years of regular use. Worth the investment.

Here’s what I do like – it is wider & not as tall as my other hydration reservoirs so it fits better in my small climbing backpack; the zip top seems secure and didn’t leak; the bite valve has great flow; the stem of the hose leaving the reservoir is attached vertically up the length of the reservoir which keeps it from getting strained, twisted, or pinched at the insertion point and keeps the hose going in the right direction.

Here’s what I thought could use improvement – the attachment clip is difficult to get the hose in & out of (I prefer the ones that have a magnet attachment as they are easier to manipulate while doing any activity); the on/off switch at the bite valve is difficult for me to maneuver while being active (I personally prefer the ones that are lower profile and twist, like on the Osprey), but I’m getting used to it.

All in all a good design, just could use a couple tweaks to make it great.

This is my second hoser because I love my first. I bought this to replace two bladders of a different brand that both broke and leaked. I wanted to have an extra to share with my adult children or my boyfriend whenever I suggested a hike, which is almost every weekend.

My boyfriend ended up taking it to replace his broken bladder after he shopped his brand but noticed how light weight this one is. I got the cover for the bite valve so that it doesn’t get accidentally squished and let all the water out but you do have to be careful you don’t pull the whole valve off when opening the cover.

I took this along on a 50-mile hike near plenty of water sources. I like the hose to sip water as I go. In that sense, it is as good as my 3L Platypus. The hose cllip on this 1L reservoir is not great, though.

I wish they’d use the same clip that I have on my 3L version. Also, the small opening on this 1L reservoir is less convenient than the zip opening on the 3L version. I didn’t have any problem with leaks, so that was good.

I’ll keep using this when I don’t need to carry a lot of water, but I really wish the features of the 3L version would have been incorporated into this 1L reservoir.

This is the best water camel hydration units i have had the pleasure of useing and owning. Its mil spec. Which to me at least means it will stand up to and is built for heavy everyday use. And i water bladder that the rubber is impregnated with a chemical the hinders bacterial growth in it to keep down any bacteria transferred into your mouth or body.

A great idea on hot summer days.

Seems good quality and durable. No reason to believe it’s not the same issued to our military. Highly recommend. Pieced with a surplus carrier, this is a perfect way to score a hydration system for much less than buying as a new, complete set.

Fits a wide mouth Camelbak carrier perfectly. I like the UTA adapter fill and mouthpiece better. This one had better features in my estimation. I have found that the items manufactured in Israel are very good quality and value.

I purchased a hydration pack last August and have been very happy with it until today. It leaks at the insertion point from the straw to the bladder. On inspection, the O ring is loosened and deformed.

As a matter of maintenance, I disconnect the straw and allow it to dry completely with each use to avoid mold growth and have been successful. But I noticed it getting progressively difficult to remove and seat properly and now it leaks regardless of placement of the straw.

Now it leaks whenever placed in the connection. Can I repair this with a replacement O ring or must it be replaced completely? Is it still under warranty – as it has been less than a year? I’ve loved the design of the pack with this one exception.

Hopefully you’ll be able to help me navigate this problem.

It’s the recommended size for my Nathan Vaporhowe 4L vest and as such, fits perfectly. Sliding the plastic top open and closed is sticky but it doesn’t leak because it’s tight (it’s also new so that will slide easier in time).

It came with a strong plastic smell/taste but a 24-hr baking soda/lemon juice soak made a signifcant difference. Adding a Nuun tab to my water since has helped with any residual taste, which improves with every fill (I’ve been using it for two weeks).

The hose was too long for me so I cut about 10 inches off at the bladder. Reattaching the hose was a tight squeeze, but I did it and it doesn’t leak. All in all, I recommend this bladder.

Disappointed in the new 1. 5L bladder. The old 1. 5 liter bladder had a quick release valve, to easily remove the hose for easy cleaning. The new bladder does not have a quick release valve although the bladder itself says “periodically lubricate O-ring for plug-n-play” – there is no O-ring/plug-n-play.

The hose is not easily removed/inserted from/to the bladder. Very disappointed this has gone backwards in usefulness. The 2. 0L bladder does have the quick release valve, wish it continued in the smaller version.

This is a large hydration pack it will go from your neck down to the base of your vest if you are wearing one. Very sturdy and honestly one of the best bladders on the market for the price. The drink tube is extremely long will go from your back all the way over to your opposite shoulder.

Definitely could give water to you and all your kids.

I got this hydration pack about a month ago and after pretty consistent use it has turned out really well. It’s surprisingly nice for a low priced item, and it’s really nice to have on the field, especially for the two Milsims I was at recently.

A couple notes I’ll make are that the actual bladder quality isn’t anything special, but it works for me. The water might taste a little weird after awhile, but that’s to be expected anyways. The entire carrier is also quite long.

I’m 6’3” and it goes down just past my waist, which looks a little strange with my shellback PC. To wrap things up, this is seriously a really good buy for the price, and it’s unbelievably nice to have the water during a long airsoft game.

Would totally buy again.

I use it all the time while Hiking, Camping, And exploring. Holds enough water for a good size hike. attach other things when needed like first aid kit, Another water bottle holder, Phone holder, Food pack, Ect.

Ect. attachments are endless that you can bring along when starting with just this. Durable,And Good quality for the money. I beat mine up pretty good and it’s still going strong. I will replace it with another just like it when this one wears out.

Straps are also adjustable on the front and the chest strap helps a ton. Even with the bladder full there is still a little room in it for some small stuff. Great item for the money so many uses for it.

Received this today – fast shipping, thanks! The fit of this 1L reservoir on the back of a Monster day/waist pack is not ideal (at least in my case). The easy access top of the Hydrapak is too wide for the upper netted pouch, nor does it fit well inside the packs zippered pouch for the net pouch (if that sounds confusing, the Monster pack and some bino cases have a drop-down netted pouch for hydration tucked inside a pouch located on your back where the shoulder straps converge) — However, both left and right sides of the pouch show stress points due to the width of the top plastic slider lock.

Also, my Monster hydration pack does not have any built in lashing material to “hang” the pouch from. Haven’t decided to keep or return yet. A less rigid hydration pouch might fit better but I like the way Hydrapaks open and close and don’t taste.

The product was even more than I expected. Every feature I was looking for in a durable build with a great warranty. Comes with a bite valve to prevent leaking from mouth piece as well as a twist lock feature.

I like the redundancy just in case on stops working. The bag itself feels well built. After filling completely and shutting, I squeezed pretty hard a few time to see if it would leak and it did not. I left for a few days in a brown paper bag and still not leaks.

Great product so far. I’m taking on a elk hunting trip September 2021 so I’ll text it out for two weeks and come back for my final review.

I purchased this bladder for my Badlands pack and it fits well. From reading some reviews mentioning taste in the water, I was anticipating this especially during the first use. I didn’t notice any flavoring of the water.

I have a well and where some reviewers (possibly) used treated water that may have reacted with the bladder, I can only guess. My experience was great tasting water. I’d recommend the bladder.

I’ve been shopping around for a water reservoir + filtration system for a while now; so this CamelBak and LifeStraw combo had me pretty excited. The LifeStraw install/uninstall was easy as pie. The quicklink system is well designed and it honestly couldn’t have been easier.

This is important due to maintenance of the LifeStraw requires you the blow the excessive water out after each use before storage. The auto shutoff with the quicklink system is a nice touch. I love it so much that there is no mess and it’s all as simple as literally a click of a button.

There is no need to worry about dirty water backflowing with the drinkable supply – unlike many of the other bladder/filtration combos I was considering. Refilling the bladder was pretty easy and straightforward as well.

The large opening of the CamelBak reservoir not only makes it easy to clean out but easy to fill up in just about any situation. Really, the only downside I would say is the flow rate can be frustrating, especially if you are thirsty.

On my initial home test I tried it out with tap water first, as to see how the filter flowed at its best and I was not as satisfied as I would have liked. However, considering the water is going though both a hollow fiber and a carbon filter, and then through the drinking tube, maybe I’m asking for too much with a faster flow rate.

Overall it’s a sweet addition to my REI flash 18 bag and I’d highly recommend it as its is great to have for a wide range of outdoor activities for just about everyone.

I bought this CamelBak a month ago to replace an old reservoir. I have somethings I like and somethings I am not as thrilled about. Pros: 1. Easy open/close leak – proof cap seals well, makes filling easy, and makes cleaning easy.

2. Easy to drink water from with the self – sealing Big Bite valve without water dripping. Quick Link System-this is absolutely great for quickly and easily removing the tube and makes it easy to disconnect because it auto shuts off.

3. Shape – I don’t like the new shape compared to my old rectangular shape which I used in my CamelBak brand backpacks and regular backpacks. Now I need to get a new CamelBak backpack for mountain biking because this does not fit great.

Yes, I have older equipment which I still like to use. Cons: 1. Leak-Proof on/off valve is more difficult with one hand to turn on and off. 2. Reservoir Baffle- Not bad, but this makes cleaning a little more difficult especially with the tapered shape.

I just started using this Camelbak, but overall I am very happy with it. There are just a few things I don’t like which I’m sure I will get used to.

I am sure there are other water pouches, I am not going to claim that CB is better or worse than others. I like CB and have been using them since they came out and long before they had competition. This one is BIG, used it as a water source for the family walking around Yosemite and while it wasn’t enough for all of us all day, it sure put a dent in our needs.

It is heavy when full, but the fact that it isn’t in your hands helps. If you really need to tote around about a gallon of water, then this is how to do it, it will get 1 person a very long way. I like that the tube separates, and that it has a shutoff valve so it doesn’t leak.

Every time I get a new CB pouch, there is something new that makes them interesting. For something so simple and plain, you wouldn’t think there would be much to improve on, but they do every once in awhile, I like that.

I disliked the fact that when I received it the product smelled funny. Then before its 1st use I test it and added water to see if product works, water tasted funny. I cleaned it with products designed for this product and water still tasted funny.

This is first time I ordered outside for this product from regular vendor and still water from tap when put there with no ice no nothing still water tasted funny. So now I have this product just in corner gotta go through regular vendor now and wait.

Shipping-I am not going there. BAD.

The cap that goes on to the bladder is held on by a loop of plastic. That loop broke right away when I was putting it on. Disappointing, but the bladder and cap should still be effective. Havent filled it up with water yet to see if the cap seals well, which is what stopped working on my last bladder.

I bought this 3 liter military-grade Camelbak as a replacement for the lighter 2-liter that came with my hiking day pack. I had used it with success while backpacking, but after running out of water on one long day I bought this one at the recommendation of my fellow backpackers.

I have used it one one trip so far and am very pleased with it. It is very sturdy. I admit that I did like the shape of the mouthpiece for the other one a little better, but that’s a minor inconvenience.

I’m actually quite happy with this overall. The magnet and valve got immediately swapped out because I just prefer Camelbak valves and magnets compared to others so far, but this is actually turning out to be a rather tough little bladder.

Granted, I keep it in the insulation kit I picked up at the same time unless I’m filling it at home, but the rigid back this has does make it easy to slide into sleeves. I noticed others stating the zip top feels like an issue, and I don’t know if it’s just my first zip top reservoir, but I like it.

Haven’t tried with the 3l, but I stress tested the 2. 5l that came in my Mira by filling it to the max line and hanging it upside down over the sink all night. The 2. 5l had zero leaks, so I’m confident in this one too.

My only gripe would be the baffles inside it. Not sure if they come undone for cleaning and then close back up but they don’t seem to, so there are these weird angled baffles in there. Would be nice to be able to get in there with a towel and dry it off, or turn it inside out for cleaning and drying.

Top quality. Totrue tested. I carry it in my bag every day since I’ve got it. No matter what my day might be. Skating, Camping, snowshoeing, hiking, at work, driving around, even just going to the mall or to visit a friend.

I always have water available if I get thirsty. Easy to clean. And easy to fill up. Love the lock on the drinking tube. My old 3L camelbak I’ve had for 6 years still works great but the bite tip leaks now.

This one won’t have that problem. Love it to death and very very happy with this resivior. I give it 5 stars and more if I could. And definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Some people have said that the new model leaks at the fill point. I wasn’t going to take the chance so I went with the old model. Takes a couple of turns to put on the lid. Doesn’t have the plastic stands for drying.

Doesn’t have the center channel to keep it flat, but my clothes hanger does a good job with the drying and my backpack keeps it flat.

I love the OMEGA Water beast. Instead of carrying several water bottles during a track meets in San Antonio, TX. I have my camelback reservoir inside my back pack which is designed to carry one. I can go several hrs which keeps me from getting dehydrate while coaching athletes on the field.

Seals very well, took me a while to figure out how to open it. No issues with this design…. Just not happy with the bite-valve hook-up. These hydro packs should ALL come with the magnetic bite-valve attachment across the chest buckle.

I have hiked and biked for many years and I think the magnetic bite-valve attachment is superior to all others.

I purchased the EVOC CC 6L Plus 2L Bladder. The EVOC backpack is comfortable and seems nicely made (well the color is not so great but 50% cheaper than the other colors made it more palatable), but the bladder arrived with a small rip in the seam (even a small rip sends an impressive stream of water out of a full bladder).

I wasn’t completely shocked since the bladder material seems surprisingly thin. However, a call to BC and a replacement is on the way. We will see how this replacement bladder holds up.

I’ve only been able to use this once since I got it. If it’s anything like any other camelbak bladder I’ve had, it’ll hold up just fine. My complaint is that the photo had a brown hose sleeve not black, and the fill port is to big and bulky.

Idk why camelbak put black on the drinking tube, then marketed it as a “military” bladder, with a picture of a brown one, then sent me black. I know there’s was no color options when I purchased it, directly from their website.

Additionally there’s no military branch that uses black as their primary uniform colors. Coyote tan, or FDE is pretty much industry standard for these types of things. The full port and cap is freaking massive.

It’s a 1. 5l bladder, it shouldn’t be that big and shouldn’t have a silly handle either. It goes on the back of my plate carrier, so I want everything to be as lightweight and slim as possible. Zero reason for the handle, and the cap could have been the size of a Gatorade bottle and I’d still be able to refill it just fine.

Bottom line, the quality is fine, but I’ll be replacing it eventually with one that had a smaller fill port and no handle.

The market is saturated with hydration packs, but I tend to lean toward Camelbak products, as they are typically the gold standard. My family is going to a western national park, and planning to do a lot of hiking while there.

I bought a “mil-spec” bladder to slip into a backpack that features a compartment specifically for a hydration bladder. To see how everything works together, I filled the bladder up to use while practicing on a local area hike.

It had a bad seam and/or pinhole in it right from the start, out of the package. Can’t use it now! It couldn’t be returned because it had been “used,” but luckily, Camelbak has a great warranty department that, once I sent the defective product to them, dispatched a new one.

Hopefully it gets to me before I leave, as of this review. I ordered this bladder direct from Camelbak, so as to avoid a situation like this, but it is what it is. They made good on their warranty service.

As for the bladder itself, a less expensive version would’ve been just as good. I do like the insulated drinking tube and shut-off valve on the spout.

Only used it a couple times, but I already love it. Careful though, brand new the mouth piece has a rubber like odour/taste. It fades quickly though. Another caution is that you must purchase the correct size/design for the carrier you intend to use.

This can not be carried by itself. I have a backpack that accommodates this design, but I had to measure the pocket before I made my purchase. Some packs will need the long version, not this one (short).

To carry 3 litres of water this easily takes my hiking to new places. You won’t regret this purchase.

It definitely has a better feel than the standard Crux bladder. The bite valve cover, insulated hose and baffle are a great combination. I paired it with my Cabela’s Transporter 12 lumbar pack and it fit quite snugly.

I filled the bladder half full and froze the night before and still had ice in it by the time I got home that night (Roughly 10 hrs). I am very pleased with my purchase!!.

Fits perfectly with the Eagle industries USMC coyote brown hydration pack with the zippers and extra compartments, it the exact bladder thats supposed to come with the pack if you happen to buy one without the bladder this is the one that is designed and made for that pack.

Its vary easy to fill and to put ice inside with no problem. Has a quarter turn to open and close the opening and seals tight never has leaked once on me. Its hands down the best bladder money can buy, perfect compact size yet carries a 100oz of water, has 2 different quick release points one at the bottom of bladder and one to separate the bite value from the hose so you can easily replace if needed or clean the inner hose or clean the bladder or bit valve if needed.

Ive left water in mine for months and threw some ice in it and taste 100% fine where others ive left water in them and stuffs growing and its basically had to be thrown away. The bite valve is the best Ive ever used, has an on off switch but never needed to use cause the bite valve it self is so well constructed it doesnt even drip after drinking from it.

Also has a dust cover for bite valve and the bladder itself is very think and well constructed. I didnt even wash mine out the first time and doesnt have any weird plastic or rubery tasesince day one.

Definitely worth every penny.

With more than thirty REAL Condor products, this product is a poster-child for a rip-off item from China. The name Condor is no where on item or packaging. Extremely thin plastic fittings and inferior materials to make this hydration bladder overall.

Yet to put water in it and only give it credit of one star because zero wasn’t an option. Businesses pawing off Chinese rip-off products as the real products need to be prohibited from all forms of sells and services on line.

This product is awesome and fits perfectly in my med bag/pack. Very durable, so it’s going to last for a long time for all you outdoor enthusiasts. The lid and tubing is top quality–no leaks. Though it is only a 1.

5 liter, I wouldn’t recommend it for long hikes or camping for long periods without wanting to refill the bladder daily or not having another water source. 1. 5 liters can quickly be consumed when you’re always on the move.

Because its size, throwing it in a smaller pack is efficient for light weight activity.

I had read some bad reviews, after I had ordered, so I was a little worried. I got it and it is awesome! Not even a bad taste from the new bladder, after just one initial rinse before using. No Leaks.

Thanks for the great deal on a great product. Unfortunately, I see that is not made in the U. S. A. Easy to clean and can be hung up.

The large 3L water bladder is nice but the nozzle drips unless you shut the valve. Also, the hose is a bit stuff because they started using a thicker tubing. The pack is nice and holds all my gear and nutrition with room to spare.

Overall I highly recommend this pack.

For years I watched people at Bonnaroo with a Camelback and I didn’t really think it was for me. I used one this year and I felt so wonderful after the 4 day festival. I now wear it on my walks and the extra pockets to keep my items safe are ideal.

I brought the original one I bought back because I thought it leaking was because it was faulty. When it happened with the new one I knew it had to be something else. It turns out when you pull out the bladder to refill it, the hose can slightly disconnect at the base of the bladder.

It does not leak on you until you bend over to pick something up. All you have to do is secure the connection at the base of the bladder.

I bought this to replace my 5 year old Solstice Camelbak. It has substantial storage area big enough for 6-8 hour rides or longer. The 100 oz bladder is the quality connection system we expect from Camelbak.

I will say the zippered area the holds the bladder is a bit fussy to insert and connect a water filled bladder. Takes a bit of practice.

Bought this for hydration for a four-day backpack with creeks/river as water source. The plastic tab to open/close the mouthpiece snapped off in the parking lot for the trailhead and things went downhill from there.

This reservoir lacks a one-way valve between the body and the hydration tubing. Any time the tubing is disconnected, water shoots out of the reservoir bag. This turns out to be a real hassle when you’re trying to pull the reservoir out of a fully packed backpack to refill it.

More than once the tubing disconnected and leaked water into my backpack. The reservoir is also extremely difficult to fill without a faucet if you’re not using an MSR filter. When you dunk the reservoir into a lake/stream for use with purification drops, the bag collapses on itself and barely fills.

Compared side by side to a similar Platypus reservoir, this was ridiculously difficult to fill, especially with the tubing still connected (again, no one-way valve). I ended up using a bowl to scoop and pour water into the reservoir.

I give this two stars only because I can see this being an effective hydration system for day hikes or bike rides where you have access to a faucet and shouldn’t need to refill during the day. Not at all recommended for multi-day backpacking.

An ongoing frustration that I have had with 3l water bladders (and I’ve had many) is their inability to fit easily in photography backpacks because lf their length. I’ve usually managed to work something out but it usually meant leaving pockets and zippers open.

When I saw the Gregory 3D on the MEC website, I was sold immediately since its configuration was wider, shorter, and deeper than the typical bladder. This gave me a lot more flexibility in regard to fitting the bladder into a backpack.

In practice I was really happy with how easily I could fit this bladder into a variety of packs. It is premature for me to comment on reliability but it is great to have a bladder that fits the needs of this outdoor photographer.

I do have two quibbles though. The hose requires a lot of pressure to engage and lock into the bladder’s reciever. This is the most difficult hose to seat of all the brands that I have used. The other irritant is that the fill cap is not captured by the bladder.

You can take it off, put it down, and then panic when you can’t find it. I nearly lost it once and have attached a rare earth magnet to the cap so that I can attach it to (the thoughtfully included) hose magbet when filling.

Overall, this thing is good. 3L size is good for day trips and backpacking. I was attracted to this reservoir because of the tap/spout feature that allows you to refill your bottles, rinse your hands, put some water in your pot for cooking.

This feature works great! The back of the reservoir is rigid enough it holds its shape well, and the detachable hose is a must-have feature for me as well. However, compared to their other 3L, I have to say I personally prefer the longer shape compared the shorter/fatter shape of this one.

I want the weight of the water to be distributed along the length of my back ; I don’t want to make my pack top heavy by placing this full of water on top. I also found that because it is “fatter”, that I had a harder time fitting this into the reservoir slot in my pack.

Yes, ideally I would fill the reservoir and put it in my bag before it is fully loaded, but there are times where I need to pump some water and not take everything out. It was a bit of more of a struggle compared to my last reservoir, and left me a bit frustrated.

I’m still on the fence about returning it because of the shape. Can you just make the tap a standard feature???.

Was surprised to see how much water I consumed while cycling vs being limited to a 600ml bottle. The contents remained cool vs the drink bottle which had no insulation. Stored in the pack that I use, i will probably change the straight mouthpiece to a right angle mouthpiece.

Insulated hydration pack was as advertised (not the one pictured above) and it worked great. Used for winter fat biking with the pack stored inside a shoulder mounted bag. Insulated tube and bite valve cap work excellent to keep water from freezing or leaking while winter riding.

Bought to both keep water slightly cooler in summer and prevent freezing while skiing. So far used this summer hiking in Sedona, Grand Canyon and Zion and it worked well/as expected. Definitely an improvement over the uninsulated & exposed drink tube during 90+ degree hikes.

Was intended as a Christmas gift for my husband, but the packaging had been previously opened, and the box was ripped and crushed. The item itself was dusty, and the tubing appeared almost dry-rotted.

Also had a strong plastic smell. I was charged full price ($50 with tax) for a damaged item. I did return the item, but so far it has been 19 days, and the package still has not been delivered, so my money has yet to be refunded.

I’m sure that, brand new, the item would have been fine. This instance was unacceptable, and I’ll never ever use this company again.

Easy to use. Easy to clean. Fits perfectly in my 5. 11 backpack. It good quality and doesn’t leak. I hike trails about 3 to 4 times a week and haven’t had any issues with it. Shipping was fast. This is a must have if you’re hiking, going down range, or use any type of gear that causes you to consume water.
