1. Seiko 5 Blue Dial Stainless Steel Men’s Watch SNK793
Blue Sunray Dial With Luminous Silver-Toned Hands And Indexes
The Seiko, Series 5 series features a silver-tone stainless steel 36mm case, with a fixed silver-tone bezel, a blue dial and a scratch resistant hardlex crystal. The 16. 8mm stainless steel band is fitted with a deployment with push button release clasp.
This beautiful wristwatch, powered by a Seiko Caliber 7S26, Japan automatic movement, supporting: date, day, hour, minute, second functions. This watch has a water resistance of up to 100 feet/30 meters, suitable for short periods of recreational swimming.
This stylish timepiece is sure to complete any man’s collection.
I purchased this watch after much consideration. The Seiko 5 is a fine piece of craftsmanship, and I expect it to last many years. I actually purchased it for my dad, to replace his backlit, batteried Casio with a high quality timepiece, but he rejected change – although it’s basically exactly the same width, styling, etc.
He also prefers a stretch band, which I could have gotten, but no go. Sigh. So the watch is now mine. I have worn is every day since that time, and it has worn very well. There’s not a scratch on the glass/crystal, and just the faintest wear near the lugs.
The SNK381K1 model in particular met all my wishes (for a gift watch for my dad any way). Fairly large face, but not too big or heavy, easy to read Arabic numbers that illuminate for a decent amount of time in the dark, the date, all stainless steel construction, and a deployable clasp.
If you’re looking for a solid, automatic, this is a great buy. I got it for around $100, which I thought then and now was a steal. Update: After about a year of use, give or take, I personally prefer a larger watch face.
I think this face size is 36mm, and I would like a 45mm+ size instead (see Lumino Atacama). I have a medium sized wrist I’d say, and yet the watch appears fairly small. I would say the watch size is rather’classic’, but todays modern styling I think is towards more pronounced, wider.
Chalk it up to personal preference. The Seiko has been exceptional for daily use. Wears well, looks clean. The lug width is 18mm, and I’ve swapped out the stainless band for a custom leather NATO strap.
It does keep time really well I have found, although, as far as losing seconds, I haven’t noticed any loss, perhaps because I have a habit of setting the time 5 minutes ahead so I’m always early. ha The stainless band I found less polished, and had semi sharp edges.
I thought perhaps I’d got back to and upgrade the stainless band, but I think I’ll resell the watch instead and buy a larger width, perhaps a larger Luminox Atacama field watch, although 4x the price of this Seiko 5.
For a first and or everyday wear automatic, I can recommend the Seiko 5.
The watch is automatic winding, with numerals, florescent, day, date and waterproof. Everything you need in a watch, but incredibly difficult to find. Only one model in the Seiko/Pulsar range has all these features, and there is only one shop in England that stocks it.
I hope it lasts as long as my old similar Pulsar, which I used every day for 30 years. One small niggle, the metal strap cannot be adjusted to fit without specialist tools and a jeweller’s knowledge.
This is not mentioned in the advert or handbook. However it only took a few minutes for a local Seiko jeweller to alter the strap to fit.
A very unusual mechanical watch. The bracelet nips the occasional wrist hair but it’s a sad day if that’s the reason to put you off buying. The dial is legible with good Seiko luminous. It has a day and date function and these are white text on a black background which blends nicely with the black dial.
The watch diameter is 37mm so is ideal if you don’t want a large watch, and lug to lug it’s about 42mm. It takes an 18mm strap. I’d suggest that it’s ideal for either sex with wrist size up to 7 1/2”/185mm or so, though the strap will fit a larger wrist or can be adjusted smaller.
It’s easy to adjust the strap if needed with a pointy screwdriver or similar. Keeps good time, and it’s fun to watch the mechanism through the caseback window. It well designed and looks a much more expensive watch than the £99 price suggests.
We have several Fossil watches from analog to smart in various styles personally. A friend has been jealous of one particular analog watch my husband wears so we planned to get him one for Christmas this year.
We were lucky to find a super flash sale and saved a lot of money which is a great bonus then learning that engraving is free. So we chose this one and have it engraved. It was shipped out in 3 or 4 days and arrived very quickly, well packaged.
The watch is absolutely gorgeous, sized, and weighted right. The band looks and feels great. As this is a gift I cannot say more about the durability but if it is like any other Fossil watch we have there should be no issues for years to come.
Casual analog watch with a silver tone bezel and large easy to read Arabic numerals on a round white dial with a date window at 3 O’clock and a genuine black leather strap with buckle closure. Gender: Male.
i have now owned this watch for five years and replaced the battery once. i can say i absolutely love this watch and highly recommend to anyone who just wants to know the darn TIME! yes it displays the day AND the date but it keeps time very accurate i can say this again, it keeps time very accurate! i loose no time from month to month and even year to year this watch is worn daily in south Florida proudly and looks great on this average man.
easy reader is good for the young and the old or anyone who just wants to know the darn time! i swim in the ocean , sweat on it and the sun punishes it every single day. my watch takes a licking and keeps on ticking and as i say if its good enough for grandpa its good enough for me, if you feel that you truly need to spend a few hundred dollars for a watch go ahead it too will tell you time but for me this very accurate extremely affordable watch tells darn good time and eventually it may break and i will run out for another.
this watch LOOKS ok, but it was sent to me with a dead battery so i can’t tell how well it works. I have to now go to the trouble of finding the right battery and buying and installing it. this watch was not boxed in any sort of mfr packaging.
it was an Open Box item. it came attached to a retail display plastic stand instead of any packaging. I do not consider this brand new, as it was obviously handled by others. they just grabbed it off a counter in a store and packed it in a box with brown paper.
What a disgusting and painful experience this is already. Walmart doesn’t have any clue how to treat merchandise, or customers, NOR how to conduct mail order commerce. Extremely cheap, unprofessional, and sub par handling of orders.
Bought to replace 25yr old example. Brighter screen, but day/date difficult to adjust, & no instructions!!! Directed to website for details, but unfortunately it’s a bit rubbish. Why Timex don’t see fit to include proper instructions to facilitate adjustment, is beyond me.
I like the watch very much, but I suspect it’s going to be a bit of a pain to live with long term, which might be a long time, if it’s as reliable as my last one, which is still going strong after 25yrs plus, & more new straps than I care to remember.
Imagine a watch which has a history dating way back to 1881. That was the year of founding of Seiko Holdings Corporation. Today, Seiko watches are almost always linked with high-precision quartz watches which are dependable, affordable and personable too.
The word Seiko stands for exquisite in Japanese. That is one adjective that can be applied to Seiko watches because they have gorgeous attention to detail. Seiko is known to produce almost all components for its watches through in-house manufacturing units.
Seiko also has a rich sporting legacy, having been official timekeeper to several Olympic Games and World Cups too. Seiko is known for its watches which offer a great deal of value for money. With the 5 collection, you get the most important features of an everyday watch automatic movement, water resistance, shock resistance, date display and day display.
There is another number for you to consider 21 the number of jewels in the watches of this series.
A very nice looking Seiko watch. Lovely blue dial, shiny hour markers and well finished case. Keeps great time and looks much more expensive then what you pay (< Aus $140). As many reviews say the cheaper Seiko 5 bracelets can pull the hairs from your arm, but they are comfortable.
I plan to try a couple of leather bands, to make mine look even more classy. This watch will be great to wear out, as a dress watch and will also look good in the office. The case is just under 38mm diameter so should fit those with a smaller wrist.
Case height is just right to fit under your shirt cuff. The watch case-back is clear, so you can see the reliable 7S26C watch movement at work. I’m sure once you buy one Seiko 5, you’ll want another.
You get way more than what you pay for, an automatic watch with day/date. The finish is great, they even contour the date window. They blue dial will get you more compliments than your more expensive watches.
With the hidden crown at 4 this is the perfect watch for smaller wrists. Getting a Seiko 5 as your entry to real watches is a right of passage.
Seiko Men’s Stainless Steel Watch – For a Debonair Look With contemporary and functional styling, the Seiko 5 automatic casual watch is a swanky yet practical accessory. The timepiece features a date and display at the 3 o’clock position on the silver-tone dial.
Adding subtle detail is the textured design of the dial. The stainless-steel band adds a rugged dimension to the timepiece and allows for comfortable wear.
Just receive my watch (ordered on 04/03). I choose the airmail sending, and I have to say the package was just stunning !! Really, the watch was safely wrapped wtih bubble wrap (twice, the envelop was bubblewrap and the product itself).
And the watch is so beautiful on wrist and the dial is just so amazing : I cannot stop look at the dial ! Thank you so much to the people at CreationWatch ! (this is my 4 th buying !).
This watch from the Vintage collection is a watch that never goes out of style. Gold-tone stainless steel watch with double push button fold over closure. Digital dial with LED backlight with afterglow.
Day of the week display. 1/100 Second stopwatch. Daily alarm. Hourly time signal. Full auto calendar. Case size: 35mm x 35mm x 9. 5mm. Splash resistant.
I found it bad as the product which is sold has nothing to do with the photo. I think you should – must clearly specify the size of the product (small). I was expecting a watch much more bigger. I am honestly frustrated, but I need to say that it is the first time.
Bad experience. For sure I will never buy a watch again.
Casio digitals have a ton of credibility, the very cheapest being the F-91w and it’s classier looking brother the A158. Cool as they are, they are a little lacking in the backlight department. The A168 costs a little more and is a little thicker, but has the fantastic electro-luminescent light which really makes the watch shine.
The base A168 does suffer a little from some rather ugly grahics on the fascia, which has always out me off, but these new editions in shiny silver, black, and green have a really classy look that makes them shine day or night.
This is the classic Casio digital of my dreams, and I’m tempted to get the other colours too so I can have a complete set. The only negative is the cheap bracelet, but the case has drilled lugs so swapping in a different bracelet or strap is doable, although a leather strap would be a very tight fit in the hooded lugs.
Metal bracelets and NATO straps shouldn’t be a problem though. I’ve swapped in a thick 18mm milanese mesh bracelet which adds some heft.
Love it! Its so beautiful. Its the perfect addition to my casio watch collection. I love how inexpensive it is! I had one from American Apparel that costed me twice as much. Mine is 5 years old and I’ve scratched it up.
My gf wanted it so I gave it to her and bought myself this one. But this one looked so nice and new that she decided she wanted it! So glad I got it because its such a classic watch and reminds me of the one my grandfather used to wear.
From the Waterbury Collection. Timex pays homage to their original watch collection by using the iconic Waterbury watch company logo on the dial, crown, and sweeping second hand, which bears the stylized W.
Each watch displays the brand’s attention to craftsmanship and detail, with finely finished surfaces and careful applications of watchmaking ingenuity. Powering this watch is a 21-jewel automatic movement, chosen for its robustness and accuracy, it will wind itself whenever worn, and it can also be wound manually using the crown.
Mechanical automatic wind movement Green dial Bar hour markers Date display a 3 o’clock Second hand Stainless steel case Leather strap Buckle closure Wipe clean Made in Japan SIZE Stainless steel case, 40mm Leather strap, about 20mm.
Pro: This is a great-looking piece. The layout is classic and quite nice, with some nice touches such as the “W” mark on the back of the second hand. I also appreciated the quick-release bars on the strap, which makes it simple to swap between the leather strap and a NATO, if that’s something you’re into.
Con: While I’ve usually had good experiences with Miyota movements, this one runs unacceptably fast. I’m gaining multiple minutes per day, which is well outside the variance range for an 8000-series movement like this.
Perhaps I received a bad one? The rotating bezel is nice and stiff, but doesn’t line up well, it’s always just a touch off center. I’m not sure how Timex can call this a “dive” watch without a screw-down crown.
Be aware that the crown snaps into place and that’s it – so I’m not sure I would even get into a pool wearing this. “Dive-inspired” might be more accurate. All in all, it’s a nice looking watch, if you are prepared to wear it only as a style piece and to adjust it every day or two.
This has been my most worn watch – one of my favorites. I love the general aesthetic of the watch and the subtle, dark green, face allows me to wear it with any outfit. The watch itself works and functions great.
The only downside I’ve experienced with this watch, is while I’m dancing. sudden or jarring motion can briefly stunt the time dials, causing the displayed time to be inaccurate. This watch is perfect for formal occasions however, and like I mentioned before my favorite watch to wear right now.
Winding is not necessary and these timepieces will run practically forever with little or no maintenance. Comfortable to wear, sleek design and classic look. The smooth lining case and the conservative oyster type bracelet are made of solid stainless steel.
While luminous watch hands glow in the dark, making this a real advantage for night visibility. Sturdy and long-lasting bracelet and casing (37x11mm). The crown recessed at 4 o’clock position giving it a more sportier look.
To add to that, the case back is transparent; and day and date displayed in a single window. Scratch and Shatter resistant crystal or glass. The transparent protective covering of the watch’s dial comes in a Hardlex crystal which assures excellent legibility as well as protection for your watch.
Shock and Water resistant. These watches are tested to meet international standards for shock resistance and water pressure of 30-50 meters depth. Faucet spray or rain won’t hurt them as long as the case, crown and crystal remain intact.
Disappointed in that soon after I take it off, it stops. Only runs for 2 hours even though worn all day, performing active tasks. Unfortunately there is no manual reserve winding mechanism. As an automatic I had expected 30-40 hours reserve following being fully wound.
So, to keep it going, has to be worn all the time. It then keeps good time. I don’t want to sleep with it on so it has to be reset and restarted each morning. Not what I had in mind!.
Engineered with a leather strap and bold roman markers, this analog watch from the FOSSIL is an instant winner for its refined construction. It comes with an adjustable tang buckle closure and is water-resistant up to 50m.
A perfect upgrade for any occasion, this one exudes an authentic vibe to your ensemble.
The beautiful Seiko SNZG09 watch features a stainless steel 45mm case, with a fixed bezel, and a green dial covered by a scratch resistant hardlex crystal. The stylish wristwatch is equipped with an exclusive 22mm canvas which combines comfort and sturdiness.
This horological trendy device has date, day, 24 hour, hour, minute, second functions. At the heart of this timepiece is Seiko Caliber 7S36. The Automatic movement operates at 21600 A/h and keeps the hands revolving smoothly and accurately for precise, reliable timekeeping.
It contains 21 Jewels, and picks up all the advantages of this high-performance ‘engine’, including a 40-hour power reserve. This magnificent watch has a water resistance of up to 330 feet/100 meters, suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.
This elegant masterpiece is sure to complete any man’s collection.
I’ve had several automatic watches, mostly from Invicta. This Seiko is comparable in cost, and so far much higher quality. Getting it set up with the day, date, and time was easy. It’s been in operation for several weeks now.
I’ve worn it almost constantly, and it’s keeping excellent time. If there’s been any drift so far, it’s less than a minute. It’s easy to read the face thanks to the simple number layout. The day and date font might be too small for some eyes, but the many available photos of this watch give you a good idea what to expect there.
One surprise is that the highly polished Seiko 5 logo below the 12:00 position is a bit distracting sometimes when you glance at the watch. Yes, that’s pretty nit-picky, and the fact that there’s not much else to complain about tells you how good this watch is.
In certain light, the outer ring where the luminous material is located is a slightly different shade of tan from the face. So far, after several weeks of use, the band looks almost brand new (see photo; those are wrinkles, not cracks) and the case absolutely looks brand new, even though I dropped it once from waist height onto a hard surface.
If you’re in a really quiet space, you can hear the weight that makes this watch self-winding move. I really like the display case that lets you see the mechanism when you take the watch off.
I have a “standard” Seiko 5 with a cream face that I really enjoy, but I live be the beach and at 5 bar it’s not really suitable to wear in the water. I found this SNZG09 and it ticks all the boxes, looks really good and is a fraction of the price of anything comparable (I had been looking at the Hamilton field watch with the earth brown face, but that’s four times the price of this one).
Boxes: mechanical, 10 bar, day date. I really like the green face! As with my Seiko 5 I did buy some easy change watch bands (I really like Barton Watch Bands) in silicone, nylon and sailcloth that give me a nice set of options for different occasions.
All of these look preferable to the Seiko band. Face is clear, lumens bright, no problems going in and out of the water. Needs to be worn for a few hours each day at least to keep wound. Very high bang for buck value!.
It surprises me again and again to see the level of quality Seiko can deliver for the price. I was looking for an inexpensive military-style watch for outdoor activities and with my previous good experience with Seiko 5 Sports, this model was a logical choice.
I have no reason to regret the decision. The watch has a beautifully low profile and wears very comfortably (I often forget its actually on my wrist). The dial is super legible and the lume on the outer ring indexes only underlines that.
On top of that, the 100m WR is pretty cool for a watch in this price range. The one thing I could do without is the display back. The movement is not exactly fascinating to look at and a solid steel back would seem better-fitting this style of watch.
Speaking of the movement, the precision has so far been quite impressive (no serious deviation detected after a week of use). To conclude, the longer I have the watch the more I appreciate the incredible value you get for your money.
Upgrade to style and sophistication with this elegant Timex watch. Boasting a stunning 38mm stainless steel case matched with a secure nylon band, this timepiece makes an ideal accessory for any affair.
The white dial sits under a mineral crystal, which combines a stylish look and an easy-to-read display. The sleek, subtle design instills this watch with an unmistakable sense of luxury that cannot be matched.
Additional features include measures seconds and water resistant to 30 meters.
POOR Quality!!! This is the SECOND watch I have had to buy with in a short time frame. The tabs for the battery are too short, with in 6 months from buying the 1st one, the battery keeps falling OUT, therefore NOT making contact.
I tried to adjust tabs to make better contact, but to NO avail. I therefore had to buy another watch similar to the first one because my wife likes, and uses the 24 hour numbers. If I I had a chose, I would NEVER buy another TIMEX again.
Timex has LOST their good name! Timex is no longer a good watch!.
I purchased this as a workaday watch, but the sales images didn’t actually do it justice, as they don’t quite show off how the high polish finish catches the light or quite how solid and robust this watch really is.
This watch introduced me to NATO-style, thread-through nylon watch straps – and each additional strap I’ve bought for this watch makes me love it even more. Given its great value price, it’s very easy to spend more on a collection of extra straps than the price of the original watch.
It’s turned out to be a watch to be treasured way beyond its sale price.
This is a new Seiko automatic 5 Sports watch that features a Seiko 24 jewel automatic (self-winding hand wind hacks) movement. The black dial has a day and date display at 3:00 highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for low light visibility an offset crown at 4:00 a uni-directional rotating bezel a Hardlex mineral crystal and an exhibition window screw-down case back.
42. 5mm diameter stainless steel case. It comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp.
I love watches and collecting, I see them as tools and at times ingenious little mechanical marvels. I have many and they are all across the spectrum of cost, from less than $20 to more than what I paid for this one ($295 at time of review).
I’m by no means a snob, a good watch is a good watch no matter the cost or the brand. I will admit Seiko is one of my favorites, I just seem to gravitate towards their styling and sizes. I think they do give a lot of watch for the money and this one is no different.
It’s an amazing watch that looks, feels, and works great. Mine arrived with really good alignment (chapter ring and bezel), the chapter is off just a hair but bezel is perfect. Honestly only those that are extremely detail oriented would notice and they’d have to just stare to see it, or get out a magnifying glass.
So normal use or someone admiring on your wrist it’s just nonexistent. The dial is amazing and catches the light very well. It’s not a flat finish but more of an anodized type that has a nice burst effect in the light.
The lume is strong and bright, lasts for several hours even with a quick charge from a flashlight. The major point that has sold me on it is the bracelet. It’s not the most refined or the best one can get but at the price of the watch, it’s done extremely well.
It’s all brushed instead of having polished center links, which has become really popular. I prefer brushed on a daily type watch as it shows less scratches and I’m just a fan of brushed finishes. The bracelet has lots of adjustment, all of the links are basically removable and the clasp has 4 position micro adjustment.
I have a small wrist so it can be difficult to get the perfect fit, no issue here, removed 3 links and dropped to the 3rd adjustment point (only can go one tighter). My wrist is 6 3/4″ so generally watches with just a 3 point adjuster are just a hair too big or small, wearable but not perfect.
While $300 isn’t cheap (in my opinion), in the watch world it is and so this is an entry level watch. However I think you get a lot for the money, there are other brands that may provide more in the price range but this is no slouch.
It’s a reliable movement, quality build, great fit, and good looks. The biggest thing I can see many want to fault is the water rating being 100 meters. I personally don’t swim much and I don’t dive, so it’s a nonissue.
While swimming is perfectly fine with this one diving isn’t. The rating though is more than enough for most people and daily wear. I actually like the push pull crown over screw down, faster to wind and make adjustments as needed (day or date).
If you like the style and looks, it’s definitely worth checking out.
I own or have owned various SKXs over the years. This version, the SRPD61, comes with a green dial and bezel and looks really good in various light conditions. The SRPD is the SKXs successor and while having the same case shape and similar specs its missing a few key elements that would have made this a better watch.
1. With only 100 m WR and no screw down crown, this is its biggest miss. While most people dont go diving with their watches its just good to know you can! 2. Bracelet clasp is bulky and I miss the jangly bracelets that were on the SKX.
Overall, for $300 its decent value and will please a lot of people. However, every time I wear it I cant help but think of my SKX but I suppose thats not a bad thing. Cheers!.
The orange dial version of the Seiko 5 dive style watch is great looking. Mine has been very accurate for a self-winding watch. When worn 24/7 for an entire week, it gains less than fifteen seconds total.
an average of two seconds per day. Most of my other automatic watches gain five to fifteen seconds per day. But, it is NOT a real diving watch. The crown does not lock down and the timing bezel stopped rotating after a few weeks.
And, I was unable to register the warranty because the serial number is stamped onto the rear glass cover in faint microscopic type.
The Seiko, Seiko 5 series features a stainless steel 42mm case, with a fixed bezel, a champagne dial and a scratch resistant hardlex crystal. The 22mm stainless steel band is fitted with a fold over with safety release clasp.
This beautiful wristwatch, powered by a Seiko Caliber 7S26, Japan automatic movement, supporting: date, day, hour, minute, second functions. This watch has a water resistance of up to 165 feet/50 meters, suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not diving or snorkeling.
This stylish timepiece is sure to complete any man’s collection.
A nicely finished, stylish watch with a decent automatic movement for a lot less than 200. Whats not to like. Yes the strap could be a little more robust, the links are folded rather than solid but its flexible and comfortable on the wrist.
Keeps great time, very well finished and very pretty sunburst dial. Looks way more expensive than it is and has great brand recognition.
Seiko produces some of the best value for money in watches, and this watch is no exception. It’s stylish and the quartz movement is precise and of good quality: And yes, there’s a difference between quartz movements.
Without going into geeky details, this is a solid choise for those who prefer quartz over mechanical, and the sapphire glass is far superior to any hardlex/mineral glass that you’ll normally get at this price.
SGEG96P1 is a dress watch; not exactly suited for an ordinary t-shirt and shorts, but it really shines when you’re wearing a shirt, whether it has long or short sleeves. The watch is flat so it can easily hide underneath a sleeve.
The gold color is not as pronounced as shown on the image here, nor is the pearl dial quite so sparkly in that reddish tone that the product image shows. The bracelet is of decent quality, although it has that rattle which is common to Seiko bracelets.
The crown is easy to pull out and adjusting the time and/or date is easy. 100m water resistance may not seem as much, but it’s enough to combat skin humidity/sweat and even the occasional splash of water one is bound to receive when walking in the rain, doing the dishes etc.
The only drawback is that people tends to think you’re older than your age when you wear it, but that’s rectified by the fact that they also tend to think you have more money than you have. It’s kind of akin to a well-kept 15-year old black Audi A4 in this regard; great for picking up chicks because it looks much more expensive than it is.
Get those datejust vibes at a fraction of the cost. Ditch the bracelet and get it on a leather strap. Classic size of 37mm, this is no bro watch. Looks great dressed up or casual, this watch is very versatile and goes with many looks.
It’s hard to get a mechanical watch this sharp for around $100. This is the older style of Seiko 5 and is not being made anymore. Get yours before they are all gone.
Show off your great style with the Men’s Classic Sheffield watch from Daniel Wellington. The stainless steel construction offers a polished look that will boost your style point ten-fold. The quartz movement system is accurate and reliable, requiring little to no maintenance outside of replacing the battery.
This men’s watch displays the time on a white background with white dials and silver number and markers. The face-plate is made of a durable mineral that makes it scratch resistant and water-resistant up to 30 meters.
The leather strap has a 10-hole design with metal buckle that allows you to adjust the fit as needed and offers a secure, comfortable fit. With clean lines and a polished look, this watch will work in most situations.
Pair with anything from jeans and a graphic tee to a dress shirt and slacks.
This watch was purchased for my husband. He likes the fact is has a large eggshell face. The back is stainless steel. The face of the watch is simple. He just wanted a minimalistic piece which this watch is.
The stem is very easy to change the time with. The black leather band is stiff at first but softens up the longer you wear it. It does have two straps to hold the band of the watch. The watch is also light weight.
The only negative he has with the watch is he has to be very careful not to get it wet. It is rain resistant. I would recommend this watch for special occasions but not everyday wear unless you like to take it off every time you wash your hands.
Seriously. check out watch forums and facebook groups for yourself. Daniel Wellington just sold you a quartz movement of equivalent quality to the Casios and Armitrons selling for $15 at Wal*Mart. Not that there’s anything wrong with a $15 watch! If it serves your needs, great.
But DW is essentially trying to sell you a Ferrari with a Honda Civic engine in it. You are honestly better served by either getting that $15 Armitron, or spending $80-100 on a lovely little seiko automatic or an entry level citizen eco-drive.
OR, if you’re looking for something that looks like this, Tissot Everytime quartz. $130. AND IT’S A REAL SWISS WATCH. People in an office somewhere are laughing their way to the bank because you spent considerable money on a watch literally worth about $3 in materials.
Seriously, there are CHINESE watch makers (Sea-Gull and Parnis for example) with more horological pedigree and commitment to quality than DW. Don’t. Just. Don’t.
Stunning Watch with a hybrid dress/sporty look. The shape and size says contemporary and the style of the dial says traditional dress. Its therefore ticks many many boxes. Its a fabulous watch to wear , quality and stylish.
The supplied strap is very high quality , but I chose to swap it on arrival for a more modern stitched strap to make it less “Dressy”. The Hardlex glass gives the watch a classic appearance and its not as clinical as some modern Sapphires.
All in all , its a fabulous watch. I own 2 Seikos, a Bretiling and an Omega. ALL are superb watches and this may not be up their price wise but its no lesser a piece in my view. Simple and stunning. Can not recommend highly enough.
The Seiko, Seiko 5 series features a stainless steel 38mm case, with a fixed bezel, a black dial and a scratch resistant mineral crystal. The 18mm stainless steel band is fitted with a deployment with push button release clasp.
This beautiful wristwatch, powered by a 7S26, automatic movement, supporting: date, day, hour, minute, second functions. This watch has a water resistance of up to 100 feet/30 meters, suitable for short periods of recreational swimming.
This stylish timepiece is sure to complete any man’s collection.
I have a love/hate relationship with Seiko so I couldnt pass up this model (srp605) being such an enormous bargain, for a Seiko. I guess the old adage is still true, you get what you pay for. My two biggest complaints (my only two actually) is that the strap is complete garbage.
Its stiff and not even close to comfortable but I didnt expect much at this price point. Its now on a proper Seiko silicon strap. My other gripe in the bezel action. I know that it can be hit or miss, even with much more expensive Seikos, but the action on the one that I was delivered is absolutely atrocious.
I popped it off and hit the spring with some silicon lube which helped a little but the actual bezel itself doesnt appear to be true and rocks back and forth on the case. Anyways, the watch is quite stunning and I love the colour way theyve used so these things can be overlooked.
I was looking for a automatic or mechanical field watch and reviewed many options. I wanted a solid reliable movement, a clean dial, a stainless bracelet and useful lume. The SNZG13J1 checked all the boxes for me.
Although I was concerned the 42mm case would be a bit large; it is only 12mm thick and hugs the wrist well – no issues. I have been amazed by the 7S36 movement – after one day it has settled in to losing less than a second a day.
Although it doesnt hack or wind it has a stellar reputation and is amazing me already with its accuracy. The lume is also nothing short of incredible – a brief charge before bed and it is very legible throughout the whole night.
I dont understand the lack of love for the bracelet. It is superior to the old folded link bracelets with solid links that are nicely finished. It does have a folded end link but it fits very flush and tight to the case.
Sure the clasp is stamped but so is the one on my $600 Sumo. For a $160 watch; I am blown away. Dont want to take it off!.
I do not even know where to start. I will say that the watch is lovely but unfortunately it was sent to me in an absolutely appalling state, so I will be returning. I wish I could upload some photographs to show what I received.
It is so bad, It’s embarrassing. Scratches all over the case, both sides, scratches on bracelet and clasp. Watch has clearly been worn previously, yet H Samuel deemed it acceptable to sell me this as a ‘new’ watch.
They also send the wrong manual and tag for a completely different model. I have ordered 3 watches from these over the years and every single time there has been some sort of issue with the quality of the watch.
Well no more. I will not give H Samuel or Ernest Jones a single penny more. I would be absolutely mortified sending this out to a customer. I contacted customer services who offered no real apology but just told me to return it for a refund.
H Samuel regularly send out poor condition watches- just look at the forums and Hot Deals UK. This is a regular occurrence for them. From experience, you will never receive a watch with stickers on the dial, bracelet or case back.

This stylish timepiece is sure to complete any man’s collection.
I have one other Seiko watch and this one seems to be as good as my other watch. Seiko makes a very good entry level mechanical watch that offers fairly good accuracy and for a watch of this price is quite good at neither gaining nor losing time.
No, it is not as good as a more expensive watch, however for the price it is actually better than a couple of my watches that cost 2/3 times as much. As appearances go, it is quite good looking, the face has some very nice detail and the gold hands and indices are easy to read.
(My other Seiko is the same model, but this a gold face and gold hands and is very hard to read) The watch probably appears quite small compared to the large watches that are currently popular, but I find it to be comparable to the types of watches that were popular when I was young in the 60’s and 70’s, so the size does not bother me.
My only complaint is the same complaint made by anyone who has purchased a low end Seiko. The band is crappy. However for the price, it seems worth it to buy a new band so that you can have a reliable daily wear watch that will be attractive and yet will not break the bank if any mishap should befall it during daily use.
All in all a very good product at a very attractive budget price point.
Its a watch that stands out! A magnificently stylish dial with a textured centre of soft vertical lines giving a velvet grey appearance in certain light. This is separated by a mid minute counter track which is surrounded by a bold black ring with Roman numeral markings at the evens & bar batons at the odds.
The day/date matches the dial colour & its window is framed in silver to match the the outer track numbers & sword style hands. The finish is good! Don’t forget this IS a sub $200 watch. As with all Seiko 5’s, the bracelet is a cheap feeling hollow link & it rattles.
I’ve replaced it with a burgundy red Ostrich strap that just makes the whole watch go BANG! I’m impressed!.
I have a modest collection of watches, including 2 other Seiko 5 models, one of which is 14 years old. So, the Seiko 5 is well known to me. These are fantastic watches and unbelievable at this price.
Why people buy some ‘fashion’ watches costing 3 or 4 times the price of a Seiko 5 is beyond me! I guess some individuals follow the herd and are more concerned about brand names. Personally, I believe in the saying Fashions come and go, but style is permanent! This particular watch looks very handsome and understated with its 37 mm polished case and finely brushed lug tops.
It looks especially good if you have a slim wrist and modern 40 mm plus cases look too big and ungainly. The black sunburst dial is really subtle and looks great when it catches the light a particular way.
It has a legible dial, with nicely applied batons and highly polished hands. The red seconds hand adds a sporty twist to the classic look. Theres the well proven, bulletproof 7S26C automatic movement, and a hardlex crystal, which whilst isn’t as tough as sapphire crystal is much more scratch resistant than standard mineral crystal.
The style of this particular Seiko is very much that of a business watch, and whilst it still looks fine with jeans and a polo shirt, its not really my idea of an outdoor oractivity watch, although its more than tough enough to handle almost anything you can throw at it! What’s not to like? Well, not much! If you’re not used to automatic mechanical watches, then you need to accept that they’ll gain or lose a few seconds a day; even luxury automatics costing thousands do that.
Night visibility isnt great, theres some limited lume applied to the hands, and small dots of lume at the foot of each silver baton. However, if you do want a really good watch in the dark, then Seiko do plenty! For starters take a look at the Seiko SNXS75K or SNXS77K.
Also, whilst the bracelet on this watch is fine at the price, it’s not fantastic. It was always my intention to buy a leather strap. Do this and the watch moves to an entirely higher level, even if you only spend as little as 15.
00 to 25. 00. Personally, I bought a black Hirsch Forest strap, and now the watch looks like something that would have cost over 300. 00 in a high-street jewellers. If youre looking for a classy and reliable timepiece for the office, or going-out, then you can’t really go wrong with this watch!.
The Fossil brand was founded in 1984 and its main focus is on bringing fashion to functionality. Fossil watches are offered in an array of sizes, styles and materials. The company’s founding principal of bringing fashion to function are still in place today and can be seen season after season in their huge array of watches offered.
Stylish watch for just about any occasion. Leather strap is a pleasant dark-brown color and appears to be durable (too new to tell). The whitish-cream colored dial with black Roman numerals provides nice contrast and is good-looking on the wrist.
Please note the number 4 is written as Roman numeral “IIII,” not as “IV. ” This variation is perfectly acceptable in watch making circles; it is not a mistake as some have said in other reviews. Just take a close look at most watches with Roman numerals including all the high-end Swiss-made brands.
I actually have an older grant watch that I love and wear all the time. But I just noticed that it and the new watches listed here have the wrong roman numerals. The 4 is supposed to be IV and the 9 is supposed to be IX.
I still love my watch and think the designs and color combinations of them are great, but they are wrong. I’m surprised that no one caught this mistake for years and that they were created with this type of faulty.
For a mistake like this they are definitely not worth full price. Still a great watch and wouldn’t mind buying another like it, just know that some of the roman numerals are wrong.
The Grant is a really nice automatic watch. The white hands over a black face are easy to read. Its light weight and high quality leather strap make it very comfortable to wear. The Miyota automatic movement is rated for 40 seconds per day accuracy but many owners report even better results.
A full winding (40 turns of the crown) keeps the Grant running for up to 42 hours. Your movements automatically keep the watch going but if you sit at a desk all day, an extra 20 winds of the crown will keep your watch running smoothly during the night.
The Grant is water resistant for hand washing but NOT for showers or swimming. Take good care of your watch and the Miyota movement will be reliable for many years.
The watch by Casio is perfect for any athletic man. This watch is made with a resin band and resin case. These long-lasting materials guarantee extended use of the product and a satisfied owner. The green band black dial and grey hands add to the tough exterior.
This piece is also crafted with a sturdy mineral crystal to protect the dial and is powered by a japanese quartz movement to ensure you are always covered. The durable hardware and unmatched quality of the watch by Casio will help you accomplish anything you put your mind to.
Hi guys. 2 things. Make 100% sure the order you place is exactly what you wanted. I made that mistake. Should have tripple checked. I ordered a black watch instead of a silver one. MY MISTAKE. and make sure you enter your discount code.
I assumed on ordering it was automatically generated into the price. My mistake. but other than that Bella Luna was extremely effective as promised. Regards Mark.
I had a similar Casio watch that was over 20 years old. I tried to change the battery myself and unfortunately damaged it in the process. I was thrilled to find that I could replace it for not a lot of money.
I like this one better than the one it replaced. Easier to set and the light actually illuminates the face in the dark so that it is readable. I am hoping this one lasts me another 20 years. :-).
Great watch. Styling is simple, yet attractive. Very rugged. I work on a ship and am constantly banging it bulkheads, ladder rungs, and anything else that gets in the way. Not to mention, being exposed to saltwater, paint, and other corrosive substances.
This watch takes a licking and keeps on ticking! The letters in the face have worn off, and the crystal is a little scratched. But, for less than 20 bucks it has held up very well in a tough environment.
