20 Best Washers For Cloth Diapers (2023 Updated)

I am an old lady challenged by gadgets, machines, and technology. and yet, I was able to get this set up easily and doing wash within a short time. Read that some people put the machine on a dolly to move it around easily, but it does have two rollers on the rear and I can push it over to the sink with little effort.

Wish I had bought this long ago. It appears to be a really good quality product, and it washes clothes very well. You have to use cold water only, and if you are germphobic like me, you can just ad a laundry sanitizer to your wash so you won’t miss the hot.

I think it is really worth the money, from one who lives on social security.

We are full time RV’s and our RV does not have a set up for a washier and dryer. And we needed something light weight. I ordered this washier the 0. 9 and the 2. 65 cu ft black and decker dryer. I meant to order the 1.

9 to a family member who camps alot). This little machine is amazing. It is easy to move around in the RV and really got our clothes clean. I could not believe this little machine could work this well.

If you use the extra spin time it gets the clothes super dry, but the dryer also work extremely well. It was easy to vent out a window and I am impressed that it does not get hot on the outside or heat up the RV.

NO more laundry mates!.

I received this washing machine within a week of ordering it. Well packaged and easy to remove packaging. I started a short wash cycle to see how it operated. The two wheels make it easier to move around but I bought a 4 wheel dolly with locking wheels and that makes it incredibly easy to move and use.

I am impressed with how well this machine operates. Easy to use, and spin dries the clothes to the point that simply hanging the clothes will let them air dry in a few hours or longer depending on the air movement around the clothes.

Overall, I am very pleased with this washing machine and highly recommend it. Be sure to clean out the lint trap after each load. I hook it up to my kitchen sink and the parts that came with it fit perfectly.

No leaking out of the faucet hookup once I added another rubber washer to the adapter, which was included with the machine. I use the second wash cycle and avoid using cycle number 1 after I read a review that said avoid cycle number 1 because of abrupt stops.

The same review I read posted a picture with all of the wash cycles and times and I found it very helpful so I saved the picture to my photos so I can refer to it anytime. I also purchased the extra warranty offered through Walmart as I know some people experienced problems with their machines.

Extra cost but peace of mind.

I was using a smaller apartment washing machine that broke, and I decided to move up to this unit so I wouldn’t have to move the machine around or put water in myself. I got a bigger adapter to hook it to the laundry faucet in my closet.

It works, but I don’t think this this machine is designed to have that high pressure connected all the time, so I turn the faucet on and off manually when washing. It’s a bit annoying, but less work than with the cheaper units.

I could buy a full sized machine, but those are $400 on sale and I don’t have a truck to transport it. This unit is smaller, lighter and has the two wheels so it’s a lot easier to move. Good overall, but the included adapter wouldn’t fit my bathroom sink, so if that is what you’re interested in I would get more info first.

The hose adapter I got from Walmart was only 7$ to fit this to the laundry water faucet (Siaonvr Brass Garden Hose Tap Connector (3/4) Quick Hose Adaptor ). It leaks when filling, but I think I was supposed to put a second washer in it which would probably fix that.

I love this washer. I have a large family (7) and this has eliminated going to the laundromat. I can wash everything in it, pillows/jeans/full size comforter. I don’t over stuff one memory foam pillow/2 regular ones, I fill the washer 2/3 of the way with clothes, bath towels, and so on.

I wash our bedding weekly (full/twin comforters, sheets, throws) washing one comforter at a time since they take a lot of room. 7 months later and the washer is still perfect! I also purchased the dryer and it’s wonderful as well.

Love this machine so far. It seems everything I buy lately works for a week or two then it dies. It washes clothes well, is easy to set up and its the perfect size. What I did not like, was the condition in which it arrived.

It has a huge dent or three on it. Really disappointing since it looks like it lost a fight and kind of embarrassing when you want to show off your new washer.

This thing is awesome! I love that I’m able to keep up on my laundry now. Yes you do have to do smaller loads. But I read the manual and it said as long as the water level is higher then the clothes you good.

And I noticed the only cycle that the water goes to the top is the (7) heavy soil. I absolutely love my washer! Now to get the dryer before winter.

Not very impressed with the product. I’ve only used it a few times, after the 4th use the barrel had a small crack (this is a plastic part) after a very strong spin cycle. I was very surprised because I followed the manual instructions to ensure the machine was levelled.

Also the manual says you can choose how long you want your wash cycle for, however the machine has only pre-programmed settings, so you really can only choose out of those settings. I found that misleading.

The machine did arrive 6 days after shipping which was a very nice. I’ve contacted the supplier directly as the damage occurred more than 30 days after the original purchase.

It works better than a regular capacity washer. The only drawbacks are: the drain hose is permanently bent downwards so not very flexible when placing into kitchen sink. Furthermore, it is hard to move around.

You have to tilt it backwards to move it. I live in a tiny apartment and Tia a pain. *please note: the drain hose has to be secured when placing in a drain. I had to tie mine to the faucet. Also, do not forget to put it in the drain or you will have tons of water everywhere (I got distracted, lol).

I am gobsmacked! This little beauty is genius, absolute genius! It’s designer deserves a medal. I have multiple chemical sensitivities so cannot use the laundry room in my apartment building. I have paired this little gem with the Ninja spinner/dryer and the result is a life-saver for me.

It is light-weight. I put it on my kitchen counter and crank away! It uses little water, little detergent and washes every bit as well as any washing machine ever could. And takes a fraction of the time with no electricity! There is nothing not to like.

Love this product. I’ve purchased a Wonderwash in the pst. I love that it now comes in colors. I got the minty green one and it’s so pretty. It used to only come in white. It’s great for doing small loads.

It’s amazing how much fits in it. I can wash 2 pairs of jeans, plus a few tops and some undies. Or I will wash a blanket or a quilt. You can also fit about4 or 5 bath towels. It saves a bundle on the laundromat.

I also have a spin dryer by The Laundry Alternative which plugs in and spins out all the water. Then you can hang up the items on a drying rack and they are dry by the next day. Some cotton tees are even dry in a few hours in the summer.

You could never wring out enough water. I suggest buying the two product together.

There is a bad product, simply will not remove 50 pints or six liters in 24 hours. Maybe 2-3 pints. My AC eliminates the rest. I bought this for my AC stop working and maybe save a few bucks. Stopped continued use of my CA follow my kicks when my room reaches 50% humidity.

I had the unit plugged in and work during the past week and still have not even fill the tank once much less halfway. UPDATE: The unit seems to have started working Now I’m emptying the tank once a day and my AC is not continuously rotating to remove moisture from the air.

Uploaded my opinion 2 stars to 4 stars, still I do not believe that this unit can eliminate 6 liters in 24 hours, but does the job. I would buy again if I had to.

The machine has a squeak, it’s located in the middle of our living space and is super obnoxious, we can only run it as we’re leaving the house. The manufacturer took weeks to give me the contact info to a technician that doesn’t even exist.

I asked them to have the tech call me, I’m now a month in and I’ve not heard anything else from them. Camping World will only help me if the item is ruled by the manufacturer to be defective. That’s going to be impossible since the manufacturer won’t respond to me, or get me a technician.

Basically I’m stuck with a squeaky machine.

Works great, as expected. It was a struggle to install in the camper. Tight quarters and a 190 # appliance make things interesting. But approach the job with a plan. Read the supplied instructions and you will not have any problems.

After installed and tied down the machine worked as advertised. I am very satisfied. Plus side detail. It is very quiet.

This unit has been a life saver. We rv full time, as a chemical technician and a nurse. Laundry mats were just not cutting it with our shift work schedule. We ordered this unit and cannot stop raving about it.

I’ve owned this compact washer for almost 3 years now. It still feels new to me, as I don’t do a lot of laundry living alone. I’ve loved using it. It has worked very well and has been very convenient.

I’ve had no problems with it up until recently where it has started to screech when in spin mode. I’ve checked to make sure my loads are not too heavy or over filled, so that’s not the issue. I’m worried that it’s a sign that something is going out that will eventually cause the washer to fail.

I’m now looking into getting it serviced. Other than this though, I do recommend this little washer. It’s built well, not cheap. Just take care of it and it should serve you well. until it starts screeching at you.

This is my second one. The first one I sent back because the drain would not close therefore could not wash clothes because tub would not hold water. This second one seems to be okay. So far.

Ever since I traded in my reliable old washer for a new “Energy Efficient” washer that would never get my clothes clean, never use enough water, and take forever to complete a cycle of shaking my clothes without any kind of agitator.

I couldn’t find anything! Until I finally discovered this Speed Queen washer. It was love at first sight. From the first load I washed, I was hooked. I have had the washer for almost a year, use it regularly, and it has been trouble free.

I know that Speed Queen makes its machines to last. and makes them in America. My adult daughter now brings her laundry to my house now, too, because my washer gets her clothes so much cleaner than hers.

If you’re looking for a washer that will really clean your clothes, buy this. I promise you will not be disappointed.

The washer itself works well. But the installation was terrible. Firstly, the installers let the water from the existing washer hose drip all over the floor. Secondly, they were quite unfriendly, no smiles, no hellos.

Thirdly, as the installers were leaving they turned the washer on and told me to let it run a full cycle. So I wait about 5-8 minutes and I keep hearing the washer pump inside the washer “stressing” as if it is attempting to pump water that isn’t there.

I go and check the hot and cold water valves, and it turns out that THE INSTALLERS DIDN’T RE-OPEN THE WATER VALVES. So I open them, the water comes through, and the washer performs the cycle without any issues.

Still, I hope this hasn’t prematurely damaged the pump on my new washer. After the deplorable installation, I tried calling the Sears store I bought it from to get customer service. The automated voice said to hold on the line for a rep, but instead the number ” double beeped” and cut off.

I repeatedly called back and the same cut off kept on happening. How does anyone get proper customer service this way? By leaving a bad review?.

This Machine works very well so far and I am quite happy with it. My last Kenmore finally gave up after 22 years, so I had to get another. Great Brand. This one operates a little differently than the last in the way that it uses water.

It has an auto mode where you add your detergent and clothes and close the lid and push the button. It then starts adding water but only a little and then it stops momentarily while the machine senses the load and balance.

(I think it might due this by weight scales). It adds more water and stops and senses again and then when it is happy it continues with the agitation process, rinse and spin etc. It make some unusual noises compared to my previous machine, but the manual says this is normal.

It washes quite well and doesn’t take long to do it. For the price it is a great machine. I ordered it with delivery, and the Sears guys showed up on time and had it installed in my basement in about 10 minutes.

I would recommend this.

This is my favorite brand for appliances and the washer performs as expected. I love it. The crew tat delivered it was expert and polite. Despite losing $ 800 when the other washer was just not performing like I needed it to and I asked the crew that delivered my Kenmore to take it away, which was my mistake, I will continue to to use this service Thank you.

If I could give this review a zero star rating I would. We purchased this washing machine in Feb-21 and was delivered in March-21, from a huge appliance dealer in OKC. From the beginning, we’ve had error code after error code with this machine.

Apparently, this machine requires that you put socks, bra inserts and anything of small size in a separate mesh bag to prevent such items from clogging the drain pipe. Speaking of drain pipe, have you ever cleared one on a front loader? Get ready to flood your laundry room floor, as we have several times.

it requires a dismantling of half the unit to get access to the drain plug. The washing machine was serviced by a certified Maytag repair man about 6 months after the first use but it has done nothing for the performance of the machine, it is still terrible and a constant discussion between my wife and I.

The wash cycle will freeze and require a restart to get a response (typically by flipping the breaker). We typically have to re-run the load 2-3 times before it will complete a full cycle. Our clothes have an unpleasant mildew smell and we are incredibly unhappy.

It’s become rare for a full cycle to run through on the first time. To sum it up, this machine is very, very needy – it requires a lot of babysitting and produces a very poor result. After contacting Maytag they, of course, play the “out of warranty” card but this is absolutely unacceptable for a machine less than 2 years old.

Maytag needs to send me a new machine or provide a full refund.

I had hopes that this would be a great washer I purchased for my first home, and my family. HOW DISAPPOINTED I WAS! I’ve owned this for a little over three years and Maytag came highly recommend at the time.

1. Certain Cycles had “low flow” problems. Whenever we put the cycle on “bulky items” it was never an issue but other cycles it was a problem. It was recommended we cleaned out the trap in the back (which is a pain in the butt to get to and clean) to see if that solved the problem, it did not.

2. Any detergent pods that was HE approved ruined our clothes. The washer is so efficient it wouldn’t melt the plastic on the little pods. The plastic would stick onto our clothes and make them hard as plastic when they dried.

It would require another wash to fix. 2. I bought the Geek Squad extended warranty, 3 years (how stupid of me). It expired last month and yesterday the washer died, IT DIED! I had a Maytag person come out and look at it, they said it was the “Control Board” and was going to cost me $500 to fix, not to mention it was “out of stock” and they didn’t know when they would have more.

The control board is not covered by the “extended warranty” by Maytag. My family is my husband and I and our three little dogs. The worst thing we wash is a rug that someone peed or puked on. I’m now having to go find a new washer (not Maytag) at 39 weeks pregnant.

Not what a first time mom due any day now needs to be dealing with. I find it unacceptable that big companies such as Maytag, Whirlpool, and etc. manufacture items that don’t last as long as they are “suppose to”, or “should” last.

It’s irresponsible and creates such a waste in our environment to manufacture something that lasts a few years, and costs an arm and a leg to purchase. What happened to appliances lasting 10+ years and made of quality? Those days are DEAD!.

We have had this washing machine for just about a week and i really wish it came with a user manual. We had our maytag Neptune for over 20 years and obviously the technology is totally different thesr days.

I love the washer and i find that it seems to clean the clothes very well. When using the preset cycles, i. e. delicates, the clothes come out of the washer very wet. I know that it prevents harming the clothes but they are dripping! One thing i must say is that this machine is huge! I can put what i think is a normal size load in only to find that i must split it on half to dry! I wish that we were in a position to purchase the matching dryet.

but that’s not an option at this time. All in all i definitely live it and it is so quiet! I would recommend that if you need a well made machine that works well and is large don’t think twice about purchasing this one! Also, Best Buy service is top motch.

They sent texts to keep us updated on delivery time and the delivery man called us to let us know when he would be here. And they arrived 5 minutes early! Great system and the installation was perfect.

I purchased this washer in May 2020 when I saw great reviews and the high efficiency of this machine, but I haven’t been happy with it since almost the beginning. I clean the pump drain and filter about twice each month (which is a pain without the washer being on a stand because there is always a lot of water, but it’s hard to find anything shallow enough to fit underneath when it’s so low to the floor).

I also run the self clean cycle with bleach usually twice a month. With these two measures and the venting, my clothes still smell awful after each cycle, regardless of the scented HE detergent or fabric softener that I use.

I even check the detergent drawer occasionally. I don’t know what else to do to get rid of the smell. I’d also say the door leaks from the gasket about 25% of the time which I’ve deduced can be from just a tiny bit of dog hair sticking to the bottom of the glass window on the door.

I wipe the window down after each use now (and clean the gasket whenever I see hair or lint near the gasket holes), but if there’s dog hair in the laundry, the door will almost always leak water. Finally, my clothes pill pretty quickly.

I’m not doing anything differently than what I did when I ran laundry with my old machine, but I notice my clothes pilling more frequently, even if I try to run on cold and gentle cycles. I am so disappointed to have spent so much on this highly “efficient” machine when it has been the most annoying washer I’ve ever used in my life.

We decided to purchase this washer model after reviewing various washer in Consumer Reports magazine. it was the highest rated top loading washer according to CR and was recommended with high scores.

This LG washer doesn’t clean as well as the Kenmore front loader I had for years. The Kenmore cleaned very well but developed an odor and was hard to keep odor free. So, we decided on this LG top loader because we have the matching dryer and it works well.

This new washer doesn’t clean as well and sometimes leaves spots. We use the washer according to all proper instructions but still have these problems after one month of almost daily washings. We sort the clothes properly, use the correct detergent and temperature and so forth and sometimes need to spray the spots and rewash the same items just cleaned.

Also, clothes came out of the previous washer mainly wrinkle free even after a high spin. This new LG has the clothes coming out somewhat to highly wrinkled and cottons are wadded. I like to hang T-shirts to air dry right out of the washer.

I did this with the previous washer. But this LG doesn’t allow that despite different settings so all clothes have to be put in the dryer and risk possible shrinkage. I remove clothes from the washer immediately upon the load being finished but it doesn’t matter.

So, this new LG doesn’t yet have an odor problem (as many front loading washers eventually do) but it’s overall a less convenient and less efficient washer to use. Additionally, the wash cycles take an average of 15 minutes longer to complete than the Kenmore did.

I would advise people looking at this model, to look at others, possibly even a Kenmore.

Updating my review from months ago: We hate this washer. The only good thing about it is that it holds a large load. We have had it for months now and find that it doesn’t get things clean. We can’t soak anything for a useful amount of time (30 mins soak cycle is pointless LG).

You can’t just stop it and let it sit for awhile because it will automatically drain. All of our white linens are now dingy. We always have to use the extra water option and extra rinse option in order to have a chance at having the clothes come out without white residue and bits of crud all over them and even then most of the time we are cleaning all of our black dress pants after they come out of the washer and before they go in the dryer.

Ridiculous. In order to mitigate this problem we have tried the tub clean cycle with expensive tub cleaning tablets, we have tried using more soap in our loads, we have tried using less soap in our loads we have tried different laundry detergents, we have tried warm water, we have tried cold water, we have tried washing clothes insideout, we have tried washing clothes rightside out.

The only thing that sort of works-sometimes-is using more water and an extra rinse. And then sometimes an additional Rinse & Spin after that. So much for high efficiency. Or any efficiency for that matter.

It mangles and wrinkles clothes like I have never seen before. Hoooow can it make such a wrinkled tangled mess without even having an agitator to wrap clothes around? Adding items after it starts is a pain.

First you press and hold the button, then you wait for it to stop, then you wait for it to think about unlocking, then it finally unlocks, THEN you can finally add that sock you forgot. Then you have to press and hold the button again so it will start back up again.

I really miss the days of lifting the lid of a washer whenever you wanted. Definitely don’t recommend this washer and definitely won’t put LG high on the list of brands to consider next time.

My LG Wave-force 5. 0 top load washer was 2 months shy of 11 years of continuous RUST. (Note to new buyers) don’t ever use the Liquid Bleach dispenser to pour in your Clorox as I found there’s a small air channel between the plastic dispenser that’s adhered to the top of the metal, leaving a void that collects the bleach causing it to start “rusting”.

There’s a You Tube video available that teaches you how to lift the entire top up recommending to fill that void with silicon to help prevent rusting. My machine actually had some metal eaten away. I ordered a new LG on April 30, delivered and installed today 5/5/22 @ 11 am.

I asked the installer if something went wrong with this, do I have a 30 day return? Reply: “15 Days”. He ran a short wash cycle to clear factory dust then said I could go ahead and use it after it was completed.

I followed the directions for my small cold water dark load on speed wash and everything went just as I’d anticipated. Then, I put in my second load of mixed colors, cold wash and pressed the top right *Extra Function: Hold 3 seconds, Cold Wash *Signal.

I heard a funny beeping, pushed and held the Start button and got an immediate flashing CL display. Grabbed the instruction Manuel, followed the guidelines of turning off, unplugging from the outlet, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in but still produced the flashing CL.

After 3 repeated attempts and finding nothing more as described in the manual, I called the LG 800 number. That was a 45 minute conversation with the tech trying to find the proper guidelines (in English) to follow the procedure that’s NOT described in the troubleshooting section! Finally, she tells me to press and hold the EXTRA RINSE *Control Lock.

This did work and then I started over again with a cold water wash. My previous LG start button was a simple touch and go, this model needs to be held for at least three seconds before it fires up. Not quite as easy to use as my last “WaveForce” but that particular model is now discontinued.

I’m hoping this machine lasts as long as my last LG because it served me well for the many years of use. Were it not for the immediate problem I encountered, I’d have given this 5 stars. I may change the review before my 15 day return policy is up tho.

Like others said here, the stacking kit was missing. Both LG and Best Buy were referring to the incorrect stacking kit 27″ for a 24″washer/dryer. the incorrect part # is 4930EL3021A and 4930EL3023A. The CORRECT part # is 5001EL2001H, that includes the hose with 2 little brackets.

Some say it’s included in the dryer, other say it’s not, but the manual says that IT IS included. LG offered me to buy it as an optional accessory. Best Buy refuses to order it, sends me to the parts distributor or LG.

I made multiple calls, endless frustration! 10/27 – received a delivery with stacking kit missing, installation rescheduled 10/27-Best Buy ordered an GE (yes, GE) stacking kit 10/30 – installers come with a GE stacking kit, DOESN’T fit, rescheduled 10/30 – call LG, I am told that the part # for stacking kit is the one above starting with 493 10/30 – I call Best Buy, they order the 493 part which is a NO GO as it’s a completely different set up and is used for 27″, not 24 inch 11/2 – call Best Buy asking to exchange the dryer hoping the new one will come with the kit as stated in the manual.

The person exchanges the washer instead! grrr 11/3 – call Best Buy, give them the correct 5001 number, get sent to parts distributor and then to LG I waited to receive these for a month, now that they are delivered, but not hooked up, I have been without a washer/dryer for all this time.

MANY MANY conversations with Best Buy, still unresolved. Worst experience ever. Zero stars.

This washer and dryer combo was a lifesaver for us. We recently moved into a house where we needed the stacked washer and dryer to fit in am opening only 71″ tall. There aren’t many options if you encounter this kind of restriction and we were so thankful that LG had a solution.

Overall, this machine leaves our clothes smelling fresh and perfectly dry. It’s a quiet unit and looks great. Honestly, some of the reviews I’ve read about these machines are just downright hilarious: “The washer is small and doesn’t hold as much as a commercial washer,” or, “The wash cycle takes forever,” or “There are too many features on this machine and it’s confusing,” etc.

Okay, so, all statements are true, but LG didn’t try to hide any of these facts. It’s advertised as a “Compact Smart” washer and dryer. It’s meant for being installed where space is lacking. It holds up to 2.

4 cubic feet of clothing which is significantly less if you’re used to using a commercial washer or a home machine that has the more standard 4. 5 cubic foot capacity or larger. It’s a Smart Washer (and dryer).

It calculates the correct amount of time your clothes need to be washed (or dried) based on the weight of the load it’s washing (or drying). You can download and customize your own washing and drying settings.

The hefty manuals included will tell you how to do so, but for those of us that don’t have the patience or know-how, the presets and touch screen panel are very intuitive and easy to operate. Some tips: Get some pros to install this.

If you purchase both machines, it will include the mounting brackets. Further, they’ll level the unit(s) correctly ensuring proper drainage. You want faster wash and dry cycles? Wash and dry smaller laundry loads.

Do not overload the machines – they will not wash or dry optimally (and you could end up breaking the machine). We are a family of three (3), the youngest being 7 and generally have a half a dozen loads of laundry each week that includes our clothes, sheets and towels.

Having the unit linked to our phones to let us know when wash or drying is complete has been super helpful. This is a great unit if you understand the parameters of what it offers.

Washes and spins well. Easy to clean, operation is straightforward – you can hook it up with your phone to see how much time is left, remote start, pause, etc. Lots of settings and the option to download others from the app.

Fairly quiet when it isn’t spinning/pumping water, and not too bad then either. The filter is easy to clean and the detergent drawer has slots for softener, prewash/main wash, etc. Plugs into a normal 3 prong outlet, but the dryer needs a special outlet.

Delivery was great. Keep in mind capacity is small. I was surprised how small when it came, but have adjusted to it quickly as one person. I think for a large family this could be hard. The reason it’s small, as I understand it, is because the dryer can only take so much volume; so on top of the drum itself being small, you’re only meant to fill it halfway.

This isn’t an issue for me because it’s true of all condenser washer/dryer pairs. But keep it in mind and see it in person/watch videos if you can. Super happy with the purchase.
