20 Best Warm Blankets For Winter (2023 Updated)

We’ve struggled for months with our electric mattress pad. It seemed to be spotty in warmth. Then I invested in this wool blanket. That night the warmth was held in by the wool and we were warm as toast with no cold spots all night.

We also love the weight of the blanket and that it stays where we put it. These new blankets with the super-soft plush feel are lovely, but they seem to slip or allow the blanket/bedspread that is on top of it, to slide off the bed.

Not with this blanket. Everything stayed perfectly!. Highly recommended, but I’d put a softer blanket between it and the top sheet if you’re sensitive. It’s warm, but not what I’d consider soft.

This company tricks you to get reviews saying you’ll get 30% off the next order but then after reviewing you find out you have to spend $200 to get the 30% off. I am changing my review score to Average since that’s all this product is, an average nice product, nothing more special than if I had gotten a wool blanket from anywhere else.

This blanket is exceptional. Growing up I always had wool blankets and now they are extremely difficult to come by. They keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. They last forever and are really treasured.

These are made in France and are a beautiful quality. This one is their thickest wool (500) and it is amazing!!! Highly recommend. I don’t know of any other brand that makes wool blankets with satin trim like this.

This blanket is so nice! I have never had one from this particular brand but I have many blankets! Compared to other blankets this one is by far the warmest! Perfect for our cold winter nights here in Ohio.

It so plush and soft. I have been fighting over it with my husband and toddler. Though it is big enough for us share on the couch. It is well made and very pretty. I love the plaid design on the one side.

I’ve never had a blanket with this popcorn material but I am obsessed with it! I am definitely putting this on my gift ideas list because I know so many people would absolutely love this! I would absolutely recommend this blanket and will be getting more for myself and others! Love it!!!.

OMG, I love my new blanket. The London Fog Popcorn Plaid Plush Grey/Neutral 50×60 Throw is fabulous. It is so warm, especially in these bitter, cold winter days. I keep my thermostat low to save money, so this blanket/throw is well worth it.

The size is perfect. I’m tall and it fits my whole body. It is very soft. One side is fuzzy and the other side is just soft material. The color is true. It is a neutral beige/creme with grey and brown plaid lines.

I love this blanket! I got the London Fog Popcorn Plaid blanket in the subdued grey/neutral tones. It fits a queen bed and makes for a wonderful, oversized couch throw. It keeps me warm while reading and it immediately became the dog’s favorite spot.

The blanket was a bit lighter weight that I thought it would be, but I’m glad that’s the case. I purchased the full/queen size and it washed well in my regular home washer / dryer. The fabrics are so incredibly soft, it’s like being wrapped in a fluffy cloud.

I live in a colder climate and this blanket has kept me warm. I was hesitant to buy this because of the price ($ 50. 00) but if it holds up it will be more than worth it (owned for about a month now).

I love the texture of this blanket. It’s incredibly soft. The color is very close to what I saw online also, so I’m very happy with the whole thing. It came vacuumed sealed, so at first I thought it was too small.

But after I opened it up and washed it, it fluffed right up, and is what I expected.

Great throw blanket. Just like described. This is very soft and fluffy. Colors are good and washes nicely. I wash this in cold water, NO fabric softener or dryer sheets and low or medium heat. Blanket came in good packaging, not odors and arrived within two weeks.

This is by far my all-time favorite throw. It is super soft and warm. Definitely one of the nicest things I have ever owned and I have many lightless. I definitely think if you buy you will fall in love with it.

Beautiful and so soft we love it but it is small for our King Size bed. We ordered a King Size but doesn’t fit the way it should. King could fit a Queen bed nicely. The picture was deceiving for the size.

This is the softest silkiest blanket ever. Everyone that sees it can’t keep their hands from touching this amazing blanket. It is awesome. It is a very heavy blanket, weighing approximately 10 pounds.

It isn’t a weighted blanket with weights, but a very heavy blanket. It’s great for winter time. We have a typical weighted blanket, but this beats it out by far. We sleep so much better with the Korean Mink Plush, than the normal weighted blanket.

The color is true to what the website shows. My photos don’t do it justice, so won’t submit one. It is absolutely beautiful. My husband loves the royal purple with the dark bright red roses. His only complaint is that it isn’t a bedspread, but a blanket.

He just wished it was a little wider so I don’t steal the silkiness away from him. I’m excited to find more Korean Mink plush blankets for my guests beds so they can sleep with this wonderfulness too.

Even my 14 year old grandson wants one for himself. We absolutely love this plush blanket.

The light blue print is the same on both sides, Of all the heavy king size fleece blanket the light blue is the lightest in color I have bought thus far. I have also bought two light pink blankets. But this one is closest to having the most white in it and the other colors in it are not as dark.

I think if you took a picture from the light side of the bed you would know what I mean. There are people who are looking for white bedspreads and white blankets, so this heavy comfortable fleece blanket comes the closest to that.

I like this blanket as all the other king size heavy two ply blankets I have purchased and it stands out from these for its light coloration plus the amount of white color in it. This is something I did not see in the picture of the blanket on the internet.

This blanket is warm and it feels very soft. I ordered a King size but it would fit a full size bed. I contacted Wal-Mart about it and the customer service representative was very nice and told me someone would get back with me.

That was several days ago and nobody has contacted me about it yet. Like I said, it is warm and it extremely beautiful and luscious. I will put my king on a full size bed. Even though it is small I still would recommend it because it will fit in a full size bed.

The sherpa is so warm and the outside is so beautiful. I don’t recommend this for a queen or king size bed. It will not fit one. The shams are small too.

Soft and cuddly, warm and fuzzy. it did a little shedding when I first opened it. I washed it and no shedding since. It’s a pale pink with a blend of slightly darker rose pink. There’s little bit of a lavender tint.

Which is perfect for me because the design in my quilt has the same “barely there” lavender tint.

These are extremely soft and about the size of a full size bed. I bought several to give as extras to my teenage nieces. They all sleep under them at night, and they take their blankets everytime they leave their houses to stay the night away.

They wash up great and are exactly as pictured. The material is the same on both sides. It is on the thin side, but very warm & cozy. I purchased the pink, gray & teal blankets.

This review is specific to the product and not the vendor providing the service. Delivery was very quick and smooth. Was very surprise with the lack of quality and basic features (or lack of basic features).

1. The main controller, although apparently working, had no light to show it was on. 2. Neither controller has any type of blacklisting, making it impossible to change heat settings without turning on a bedroom light.

3. The blanket felt heavy and the wires really protruded making it very uncomfortable under my arms. I’ll stop at this point. I switched to a less expensive blanket that blew the sunbeam away.

Bought this in February, used for a short time, then put aside for the next winter. This November used it regularly for a week in a row, now it’s working randomly, heating up only on the bottom, other times heating all over but with barely detectable heat on high, yet other times working normally.

The return period has expired and so far no answer from Sunbeam. Now I can’t decide if I should keep or start over with another brand, because it does work sometimes, just randomly. I paid $66 for it at the time and I don’t think I got more than a month’s use out of it cumulative.

Also the fleece fabric looks velvety in the photo but it is not very thick and starts to look old quickly. There is nothing “quilted” about it. The stitch lines down the middle are just long enough to keep the wires separated.

That is not quilting. I also hate how much they cheat you on the size. If you want to hang the plug part over the end of the bed so you don’t bump it with your toes, then the blanket doesn’t even reach the top of the bed.

Same for sides.

My husband uses his electric blanket EVERY night ALL year LONG. This is much heavier usage than any electric blanket is expected to endure in a year’s time. These blankets last about a year before they start not getting as hot as they did when they were new.

While that does not sound very long, he is using them 5 to 6 months longer each year than most other users would. I have read reviews for many different electric blankets and until you get around the $125 and over price point, I do not see much better ratings for any other blankets.

This blanket comes with a 5-year warranty. I have never filed a warranty claim for one. I have read in other reviews that buyers have filed claims and had to jump through hoops, pay return shipping, etc.

I pay $25 for these blankets at WalMart. My time is worth more than that kind of hassle. My parents had the an electric blanket that lasted 15 years. Unfortunately, those days of quality manufacturing, of most things in our lives, are long gone.

I purchased the Queen blanket for my full-sized (low profile) bed. Unfortunately the blanket width was too long. I folded the blanket in half (length wise) & placed under my fitted sheet. provides warmth & extra padding! Works great!.

The St. Moritz blanket by Sferra is absolutely perfect. It is warm and cozy but not too heavy. Washing only improves the texture of this beautiful blanket. It is the go-to blanket for Spring, Winter and Fall.

This blanket runs on the small size. Do not purchase it for a queen bed. I found this blanket uncomfortable to sleep in. It also shrunk by about 20%. Cold water and low cycle on drying does not work.

I’m in love with my new Oceas blanket!! I keep this blanket in my car and whip it out all the time!!! I simply put the waterproof side down on any surface and have a place to sit or lie down immediately, anywhere!! It also kept me really warm on a cold night.

The only 100% wool blanket with no nasty chemicals added that I could find at a reasonable price. I get night sweats so I am using this blanket folded in half as a mattess pad between my fitted cotton sheet and memory foam topper and I am very happy with it.

The wool keeps me dry and I don’t get so over-heated. Now that I know this is a good product, I will buy another to use for the actual purpose of a blanket, lol. Not scratchy like military surplus wool blankets, but not soft either.

This blanket does not irritate my super sensitive skin, but I prefer a soft cotton sheet between me and it. Seems well made and I expect this blanket will still be in use many years down the road. If you need a good, warm blanket that breathes and naturally regulates temperature, this is a great choice.

While I live in Florida and it’s not known as a cold state by any means, sometimes during the winter there will be a few days where the nights aren’t absolutely freezing and my normal blankets meant for regular Florida weather is definitely not good enough for my poor soul.

These were described as silver percale deep pocket sheets. When they arrived they were more beige, but they still worked so I kept them. Now i have washed these twice and they are NOT percale. They wrinkle like plain muslin! I am extremely disappointed in them and in Zulily.

I have been looking for over a year for cotton sheets for a king bed but not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars. I saw these and they were 100 percent organic cotton and the price was so low I was really skeptical about the quality but since they were Kathy Ireland brand, I took a chance.

I really live these sheets. I’ve been looking for this shade of turquoise for quite awhile. The price was great and they are 100% cotton. Because they are all cotton, they come out of the dryer pretty wrinkled.

If wrinkles are an issue for you, these may not work for you.

I have a thick comforter, as well as a plush fleece throw blanket; both of which I love for keeping warm during the cold winter months. However, during the summer months, it’s much too hot to sleep with those blankets; even with a fan running in the room, and the AC set to keep it colder at night for sleeping.

I was looking for a thin lightweight blanket to use in the summer months so I could have a cover without getting too hot. This blanket is perfect for that purpose. I’m able to pull it up around my shoulders the way I like to sleep, without feeling like I’m in a sauna all night.
