Best Vr For Note 4 (2025 Updated)

While Nikon touts on its website that the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4. 5-6. 3 VR has the most effective Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization system of any NIKKOR yet (up to 5 stops), all I can say is that in my personal experience I was able to handhold an exposure of 1/10th second at 250mm (equivalent 375mm) with the lens mounted on the Nikon Z50.

Razor sharp. The AF system works extremely well, and even makes using Manual Focus super easy and convenient. This lens and the (Z DX 16-50mm) kit lens are obviously designed to work together seamlessly on the Nikon Z50.

The 50-250mm f/4. 5-6. 3 lens exhibits superb sharpness and contrast, and renders out of focus backgrounds (bokeh) with a very smooth and pleasant appearance, although it has a maximum aperture of f/6.

3 at 250mm. One of the undeniably annoying characteristics of the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4. 5-6. 3 VR is the need to unlock the lens before it can be used. It definitely slows down the process of photographing.

Nikon has also implemented this annoying characteristic on the smaller kit lens, the Z DX 16-50mm (which also has outstanding image quality). The NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4. 5-6. 3 VR is light in weight although very plasticky, and when it is collapsed does rattle slightly.

The rattle does not seem to indicate a problem with the lens. Due to its light weight the lens balances perfectly on the Z50, even when fully extended to 250mm. All in all this lens is outstanding with great image quality.

The worst thing about the NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4. 5-6. 3 VR is that Nikon does NOT include a lens hood, which you will definitely need, and they charge $35 separately for it; but you can get around that by using one from VELLO ( HB-90A) at B&H for less than half the Nikon price.

Though this review is about the Nikkor Z 24-120 f4 S lens, I begin with my favorite workhorse lens: my Nikkor Z 24-70 f2. 8 S lens which I have owned and used heavily for over a year. The 24-70 has exceptional sharpness (even out to the edges) and its maximum aperture of 2.

8 has been very helpful for low-light event photography. Yet I was intrigued by this new 24-120 for the reasons so many other contributors here have mentioned: compared to the 24-70 it is lighter with extended reach and many claimed it is nearly as sharp.

After long thought I decided to purchase the 24-120 with the plan to test it very carefully and then compare it to my workhorse 24-70. On a Z7, the 24-70 does have a bit better sharpness out at the edges and its bokeh (at 2.

8 and 4) is decidedly smoother than the 24-120 (whose bokeh at f4 for out-of-focus foreground detail is at times edgy and jittery with strong onion skinning in background out-of-focus detail). My first inclination was I could not accept those few weaknesses of the 24-120 and would return it.

Yet after much more comparison with various styles of shots (landscapes, interiors, near-macros and more) I saw that the 24-120 is VERY sharp (and in all shots as sharp or nearly as sharp and in some cases seemingly sharper than the 24-70), silently focuses very rapidly and reliably, is noticeably lighter (useful for this 64 year old) and most notably has that extra reach from 70-120 in which range it performs wonderfully! So with some surprise and much satisfaction I have decided to keep the 24-120 and have now sold my former standard: the Z 24-70 f2.

Intro: I got this lens summer of 2020, but didn’t start using it until late 2020. I have been using this lens with the Nikon D7100 (DX Size sensor) which means this lens is actually a 300-750mm f/5. 6.

Design: Coming in at a whopping 5lbs this lens is heavy, but it feels light in the hand and it is well balanced even at 500. The zoom ring does require a lot of movement to get form 200 to 500. The Focus ring is smooth and easy to move.

If you want to use a filter for this lens you will need to get a 95mm filter which can cost up to $500. This lens comes with a lens hood that twists on the the front of the lens and can be flipped around reversed to save space, however this hood can fall off if you bump it.

The tripod color is comfortable to hold and is super sturdy, it has a small indent when it is vertical and horizontal which can be useful, the one downside to this foot is the way it comes off. It is too easy to slide off if the color is unlocked.

Usability: This lens will work with any F-Mount cameras and the FTZ (1 & 2) adapter, as well as the older film cameras with the F-Mount. All of the switches are easy to use even with gloves on. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 7.

22′ (2. 2m) which allows you to get macro photos VR: This lens has a really great VR system, I am able to handhold this lens even at 500mm and still get sharp shots even at 1/200th I will mostly use the sport mode for wildlife and action shots and I’ll use the normal mode for stay shot where the camera isn’t moving.

I will keep it simple. This is the best sub $1500 wildlife lens you can buy for your nikon dslr, or even z mirrorless. Pros: – IQ is SHARP! It really produces some brilliantly sharp images. – VR is very good, I successfully keep grabbing panning shots of birds upto 1/600 of a sec for my shutter speed, I find many keepers.

1/800 upwards it just gets better. Don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise, it’s ABSOLUTE USER ERROR! – The build quality is good, the focus ring is smooth. Buttons for manual/AF, VR is always a plus.

– At this price point you would be hard pressed to find a better wildlife semipro lens! – for 5. 6 it produces beautiful bokeh, especially when close to your subject and at 500mm, the compression is just buttery smooth! Cons- – heavy, get ready for a workout, if you’re planning to handhold, and in my opinion this causes most problems for people missing focus.

Get yourself a tripod, a gimbal head tripod and you will unlock its real potential! – there is no weather sealing, if you want weather sealing you need to go for the 500 PF, coz that and weight is the only main areas where the PF 5.

6 has a leg up. That being said I have used mine in the rain, not torrential downpour but in light rain and no issues. just don’t keep changing focal length otherwise you will be pushing water into the lens barrel.

Save yourself the headache get a good lens rain cover and you will be fine! (FTZii is weather sealed FYI) – the filter thread size, is a pain, 95mm is huge, and cumbersome to even store and carry in a bag, or a lens filter pouch.

But you Get yourself a good ND and guess what it takes some very good video. Biggest point for anyone considering this with a Z system. I use this only with my z6ii and let me tell you it’s performed beyond my expectations with the ftzii.

The Z system just takes this to a whole new height, coz yes the f5. 6 is tad high, but with the lowlight capability of the z6ii I can push upto 12800 iso in some cases and get some great shots. I cannot stress how much better this is then the 150-600 sigma or tamron, those lenses are never going to outperform a native lens, even on a Z system.

Also for the third party lens you need to buy a separate tap in console to update the lens, extra purchase. WATCH B&H for price drops, I picked up this baby at $1000 when it was on sale! And it was practically a steal!! The only way I would replace this when the 200-600 Z lens releases, because that with a 1.

4TC would be my next upgrade. Unless that lens is also not weather sealed, in which case I would opt for the 500 PF. And it would be only for this reason, the weather sealing. For me its constant rain as I live in Brazil, for now while a rain cover does do well its just cumbersome for zooming in and out with the rain cover on.

It can scare off birds at times, especially owls and hummingbirds.

I purchased this lens after several years of debate and am really glad I did, even though I shoot exclusively with Nikon Z series camera bodies. I’ve had a 300 f/4 Nikkor Af lens since the mid 90s but have rarely used it in the past 20 years due to its slow focus, noisy, and temperamental nature (especially with mirror less).

I actually used it on a portrait shot yesterday with a young ballerina for a different perspective on my Z7ii. I was very pleased with its ability using the FTZ adapter under overcast lighting. My only problem was the longer focal length distance requirements as I had to rethink most of my positioning with my subject.

Full length shots demanded much greater distances (duh) than my usual practice. Headshots were sharp as a tack though! Very pleased.

One of Nikon’s best 300mm lenses even by modern standards. Lack of VR doesn’t bother me at all. Took me a while to find a good example, but it was worth the wait. Great results on Nikon and Lumix G9 (all manual 600mm equivalent).

Image degredation barely noticeable with 1. 4 converter. The AFS motor can be a weakness. Warning sign is often a squeak while focusing. About 400 should get you a good one. The older screw-drive model is a lovely lens too, and for even less.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with it, but it’s definitely not for everyone. I’m a Hammond B3 enthusiast who has neither the money for a higher-quality organ nor the space for a real B3. Depending on your budget, you might prefer a Casio WK-7600 on a super-tight budget, or a Hammond or Nord for larger budgets.

But for a good in-between of “on a budget” and “wanting good quality organ sound” with drawbar functionality, this keyboard is for you. It might also be for you if you’re a synth player. There are three modes: Organ, Piano and Synth.

Even if you’re not in it for the organ, you still might like the VR-09B as it does not lack in features. It has three organ sounds: jazz, rock, and transistor. It also has nine drawbars, a Leslie simulator, vibrato/chorus, overdrive, built-in compressor, split mode, USB, MIDI in & out, and more! If you have an external MIDI keyboard, you can plug it in to the VR-09B’s MIDI In port, set the MIDI In mode to “keyboard” and do split mode, and it will perform a dual-manual mode where the VR-09B will act as the upper manual and the external keyboard will be the lower manual.

You can use this to simulate a dual-manual organ, or you can change either/both sound(s) as you please, including to other modes. Just keep in mind that effects like Leslie and percussion will only affect the upper manual no matter what instrument it’s set to.

Unfortunately no organ bass pedals, as that attachment (Roland PK) is discontinued. It’s got a plethora of sounds in Synth mode, sorted under eight categories. I don’t know how well this compares to other synths as I’m not a synth guy myself.

As for piano, there’s nothing wrong with piano mode. It’s got plenty of sounds and it sounds good. But if “piano” is your primary focus on a keyboard, you’re better off looking elsewhere and spending less.

I bought this k’bd as it was on sale (run-out model?) and having read reviews and watching YouTube demos it seemed like it would fit the bill as a LIGHT versatile 2nd board. I had a small problem with the online ordering but phoned Melbourne head office and a very nice gentleman helped sort it.

I haven’t used it much yet and have only just scratched the surface but I will suss exactly how I am going to configure and set it up as I use it live. Initially it seemed very bright (toppy), but there is a master tone control and I have graphic EQ on my amp, I am also used to my RD300 which is very phat but weighs 5 million tons! The brightness may cut through the band on stage and will be eq’d on FOH anyway so no probs.

Love the draw-bars and the clone wheel/Leslie sounds. Also love the effect knobs on the LH side for overdrive, delay, rvb etc (Jon Lord here we come. !! 🙂 too easy. Love the way you can put Rhodes and synth sounds through the Leslie.

Love the panel layout for live, simple and intuitive, no searching involved. I would like Roland to bring back the bright coloured knobs/buttons they had on some of their 80’s synths as black against black is sorta hard to see in low light on stage (and it is made primarily for stage).

After having a play I am now considering using only the VR ‘cos the layering an split stuff is easy and quick with heaps of polyphony. I need to sort out and save some registrations as short-cuts to my most used instrument combinations.

Oh yeah, the keys are very light and velocity response not great but good for ripping lead solo’s (and as I said I am used to an 88 note fully weighted board so most feel light to me). Very plastic (read light) is good as I don’t have a crew and I’m careful with my gear when lugging, but I do wonder about durability on the road with so much plastic especially if it gets thrown around by roadies! Does what it says on the box, cheap, light and looking forward to taking it gigging.

I’ve owed my note 9 for 18 month’s and never really had any problems with it. Only thing I’m upset about is updates for a phone not over 2 year’s old. I’m more than happy to update every few year’s as the note will last if it’s looked after, my note 5 is still going to this day.

I didn’t update to the 20 because of price the fact there is no headphone jack among other thing’s and battery is a big thing on a phone and it is just crazy they did a test on the 9 vs 20 ultra and the battery on the old note 9 out lasted the 20 by an hour and a half and it’s a brand new phone so how would it go in another 2 year’s after hard use? When your paying 2k for a phone you expect upgrades correct me if I’m wrong but to find out that a 2 year old not 9 last an extra 1 hour 47 minutes compared to a brand new 20 ultra is scary to me, than investing in Bluetooth earbuds will set you back an extra 3 to 5 hundred for a good set and ive tested wired connection over Bluetooth and lossless flac I really noticed the difference so too bad if you have high quality wired connections that you would like to use because you simply can’t anymore, I’m so surprised by all the people like myself that like having a jack and require it.

Are sumsung listening to there customers because it dose not feel like it. 2 year’s have passed and you want me to buy a phone that will not last along on day to day use. No headphone jack a huge big camera on the back that feels top heavy in hand.

Ive looked at countless reviews with people saying the same thing I am right. How can you justify spending 2k on a phone that will not keep up with the abuse my note9 takes and lossing features I need in the process it’s just crazy to me.

If you sit on your phone watching movies or playing game’s than you will like having a 120hz refresh but really how many of us use our phone to watch TV and movies like we would on our at home TV? I understand it makes the phone run alot smoother and thing’s will load faster but how many of us out there use our phone as a day to day TV or laptop I ask? I have a TV with a 200hz refresh with q dot tech and my note 9 has Dolby atmos for my music.

If I wanted to take advantage of watching high quality movies I’m simply not going to be doing it on a 7 inch screen? Isn’t that why we have laptops and tablet’s TV. And please don’t even start me on the note 20 stock not the ultra because sumsung did no justice.

60 hz screen same as note 9, battery isn’t good enough, it’s a 1500 hundred dollar phone made completely of plastic apart from the metal sides! They couldn’t make the fan edition of the s20 to much better for the price just no s pen is really the only difference and maybe just maybe a better phone at near half the price brand new it’s so confusing what sumsung are doing and after all my hifi stuff is made by sumsung and I buy there products as I trust in the quality from past experiences.

it’s really troubling to be honest. And everyone is holding on to there note 8s there 9s because of all the reason I’ve mentioned above. Every second comment is someone saying ill be holding onto my device for another year or 2.

I would hate to see the money they are loseing, the pushed people to but offering me 480 dollars for my note to buy a 20 ultra plus free earbuds and another 250 off for something else aswell which bought the price down to around $1350 which still wasn’t enough for me to take a drop in battery performance among other thing’s.

I really hope sumsung start listening to there customer’s otherwise I’m going to be switching something I never thought i would ever ever do. Wow glad I got that off my chest lol hope it helps someone.

Great when it works but I am sure I got a lemon. Seven months after I received the phone the entire display died. Was in for a service for a week before it was fixed. About six weeks ago when I used the speaker during a call, the other person kept hearing a dreadful screeching noise.

Received a code from Samsung to get feedback from speaker and the noise was dreadful! Followed Samsung’s advice to wipe phone before going on for service and as a result fault could not be identified.

Put in “voice of concern ” to Samsung who said phone was working fine and to consult other Samsung owners for help. Phone put in for third service due to screeching noise. Tech not sure of cause but ordered lots of parts.

Get phone back and yup still making screeching noise. In for fourth service and finally seems OK. Very very disappointed that phone has had to be serviced four times in 15 months and Samsung could not give a flying whoopee!! Extremely bad customer service from Samsung and will think twice before buying another Samsung phone.

Surely after four services a new phone is warranted???.

I have had a number of Samsung phones over the years and feel they set the standards in the industry. I used to root, maximize performance, complete customization, and compare phones but anymore I am fine with a stock user interface.

I am in love with Samsung’s AMOLED display. In my opinion there is nothing better. But the nerd in me still lives and I absolutely dislike bloatware. The Samsung U1 models have the least amount of bloatware running in the background without root.

Not to mention the good ol snapdragon also. As for the 960 compared to others I don’t see much of a difference in the performance department, but I have become a casual user so it is capable of more than what I need.

I must say the DEX option is fun to play with but I haven’t used it enough to have an opinion yet. Overall everything checks out as genuine, and worth every penny so two thumbs up from me.

I had a Sigma APO 70-300 which was amazing, every time I used it. After roughly 17 years in my bag and or closet ( I live in Florida) I noticed that it had considerable fungus/haze visible on the rear inside element.

I am a true Nikon lover and bought the Sigma because at the time I purchased it, Nikons only offering in this range was rated optically inferior. Since then, Nikon updated its 70-300 three times, I think, but the price has increased substantially with each offering.

The latest version is around $800. Since this focal length range is not one I use often, I started pricing new sigma APO’s which are still an amazing bargain. Then I thought to look on Ebay for a used nikkor and found an excellent deal on this modern VR lens.

Retailing for $500, I obtained a used, excellent copy for just over $220 and could not be happier. this lens has VRII and makes an amazing difference when shooting hand held, as I almost never use a tripod.

The Sigmas have no VR. Both lenses are great, but the VR is awesome!.

This lens obviously isn’t the constant wide aperture and very expensive pro-zoom. It is however, probably the most zoom lens that most of us will ever need. 70mm starts the portrait range and by 300mm, you can shoot the long distance stuff comfortably.

I use this lens on full-frame bodies and I find it to be excellent across the zoom range. Optically, this lens is very good indeed – I haven’t experienced any noticeable CA or distortions. The autofocus on both a D3 and D610 work very quickly with this lens.

VR is incorporated – both standard and the “dynamic” VR – that which compensates for the movement of a vehicle or such, that you might be shooting from. The lens is switchable between AF and MF. In manual focus, the focus ring is located close to the camera.

I find this to be a comfortable position to use it from. Both focus and zoom rings travel smoothly with no creep. My only criticism is that the lens is quite heavy – expectedly so, given the large ED elements, but there is no space for a tripod collar.

I don’t think the lens is heavy enough to pull a lens mount off, but the weight is something to think about when the camera is sat on a tripod. I would have preferred that little bit of better balance.

Minor thing and my taste. Don’t let that detract from the fact that this is a superb lens.

I have a 80-200mm 2. 8 D lens which is built like a tank and performs better than this. But for half the price, a lot less weight, and extra reach to 300mm; this lens can’t be beat. It has a pretty good VR system and relatively quick auto focus.

It’s much lighter than the pro lens and performs almost as well. It’s cons are: slower f-stop 4. 5 vs 2. 8, variable aperture (dependant on zoom), some purple fringing (which can be fixed in post processing), and a more fragile construction.

My first copy of this lens rolled off a park bench onto a wood boardwalk (2. 5 feet tops), it was even sheathed in a neoprene lens pouch, and it stopped focusing. I tried to live without it, but the 2.

8 is too large/heavy to drag around for everyday shooting. The long focal length gives a pretty great out of focus background separation for portraits. I usually bring this, a 50mm and 28mm prime to family outings.

This item was left charging overnight. When first plugged in a red led light was blinking and upon unplugging it in the morning, it was still the same. blinking. Once I plugged the battery to the Oculus, absolutely nothing happens.

No light turned green at any point and no power was being transferred into the VR. The manual is very brief and does not offer much instructions, which at first I didn’t even think I needed any, after all it’s a battery pack.

But when it didn’t work, I went back to review and the manual doesn’t even mention anything about charging the battery pack itself prior to use, and implies as if it would be charged by plugging into the VR, which makes no sense.

I contacted the company already for further information and have not heard back from them. I would not recommend this item to anyone at this point. Will update my review should this change.

I liked the reviews that I saw but once I got the product I was highly disappointed. First it came opened from the original packaging. (No stars were removed for this issue because it doesn’t reflect that actual product.

) Once charged fully, the battery was attached as described. First issue that I had was while playing a game the battery wasn’t able to keep up with the game and actually was depleting the headsets, albeit slower than if I didn’t have the battery pack.

Second issue, and this was a big one, is the battery was running hot on top of my head. That’s no bueno for obvious reasons. Third issue is the added weight. Although it wasn’t super heavy it’s still extra weight on your head.

Nice thought but overall 1 out of 5. I would not recommend to a friend. This item was returned to the store.

This was received in early December. I needed a charger for my virtual reality headset. But I wanted to be sure that the charger’s power output wouldn’t harm my Oculus 2’s internal battery. I’m happy to report that this was specifically created with that in mind.

This charger is fantastic.

An excellent game that allows you to go wherever you see in the game. Graphics are on the high side, similar to the graphics a player would see in Far Cry 3, Mass Effect Andromeda and The Witcher 3. The music sound track is excellent and is similar to orchestral / classical music.

Having a non-linear questline, there are many side quests and much to explore; there are over 250 quests which includes some infinitely repeatable side quests. A few of the quests cause the player to make some heart wrenching choices, some of which are corrected through mods (more on that a little later).

This edition allows the player to add player created mods that can add several 100 extra quests, additional sound tracks, improved graphics, textures and changed gameplay: even to the point of restoring significant / cut game content, correcting glitches of all types and making the game more realistic and enjoyable.

The major notable downsides of this Mods feature is that the mods must be kept in a logical order (which must be maintained and learned of only through careful research w/ a limit on (a) certain type(s) of mods)) which becomes increasingly complex as the number of mods increases (or the game will freeze up) and the console versions of this game variant is limited by thetotal number of mods and the total size of the mods (5 GB Total Mod Limit for xBox One & 2 GB Total for PS4 & 150 Total Max Mods).

Additionally, the PS4 Game version does not allow the use of external assets, greatly decreasing the variety of content that can be added.

A very nice lens I rented to try out on my Z7ii via the FTZ adapter. It is surprisingly sharp in the center wide open even out to 200mm. The focus is quick but not quite as quick as some of the newer generation lenses.

The zoom ring was a little loose but it didn’t get in my way shooting portraits all day. It doesn’t weigh a ton and it’s not a huge lens. I wish the VR functioned more like it did on my DSLR bodies in that it only activates when you half-press the shutter/AF-ON button, instead of just being on all of the time that the switch is in the on position.

No big deal since you can flick it on/off pretty quickly and easily. The experience with Lensrentals was a smooth as ever, and the packaging they provide for the gear is second to none.

I was seeking a good quality middle-distance zoom to complement the Nikon 16-85mm and Sigma 150-500 zooms in my bag, for use with my Nikon DX body. As such, I looked at the usual suspects: Nikon 70-300, Tamron 70-300, Nikon 70-200 f2.

8 and f4. I settled on the Nikon 70-200 f4, as it strikes a good balance of speed, weight and claimed performance. Having received the lens (purchased at a sensible price through WEX), I have been delighted with the performance and quality of this lens.

images a ultra-sharp at f4, focus is fast and the feel of the lens is great, with smoothly rotating focus and zoom rings that offer sensible ratios of movement. This is a multi-talented lens – fast enough to work well for (daylight) sports and wildlife, produces beautiful bokeh for portraits, sufficient reach for most needs.

I have tried this with 1. 4x, 1. 7x and 2x Nikon teleconverters with impressive results, though of course aperture is reduced accordingly. That brings me to the main downside – price. However you look at this, it is expensive compared to the alternatives, even looking expensive next to the f2.

8, which offers better build ( though the f4 is not flimsy) and of course the extra stop of shutter speed, for not a lot more. However, that lens was too heavy for my needs (I have access to an f2. 8 and it is an impractical option on a lightweight DX format camera, such as my present D5100) and interestingly, the f4 offers much longer focal lengths at near-focus ranges (where the f2.

8 cuts this down). The brace of 70-300 options are appealing and offer the extra 100mm reach for much less and I have seen excellent results from both these lenses. However the extra speed, better build and possibility to use with Nikons TC, make this worthy of the extra for the keen enthusiast, particularly if you are looking to upgrade bodies in the future, or are already a full-frame user.

Even on a “lowly” D5100, images are so nicely resolved, cropping an area from a shot is perfectly usable. Overall, a superb addition to the Nikon range and sure to delight anyone taking the plunge!.

There are no cons to this lens. It is very sharp and lighwieght to carry. One of Nikons best. Unlike its f2. 8 sister which is very heavy, this lens is not as durable and would not handle mistreatment as well.

For the money its a must have. The images compare very well to the F2. 8 in like for like testing. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Wow. With a certain plumber lacking his platforming charm recently this is a welcome addition. For its first full game and on VR this lol astro bot really leaves u wanting more. The fame is short and simple with a slight replay value.

There isn’t much reward or sense of achievement with the game being rather simple but the ideas are superb. The VR experience is fab. I really hope they build on this and make the next installment more challenging using the same ideas and fresh ideas.

There is plenty that can be done with what is there though. It feels more like a taster of what’s to come!! Kids love it too.

So I just purchased a PSVR, and went looking for a good game to go with it. I had tried some of my other games that came with a VR mode included, specifically, Resident Evil 7. The VR mode in that made me sick.

So when I saw this game was highly reviewed, I picked it up with hopes that it would be good. I was so impressed with the level of detail and creativity Sony Japan put into this. I paid full price ($40) for it, and I am totally satisfied with it.

Astrobot is great for kids and adults.

This is Vr at its very best! The incredible graphics and dreamlike design made me feel like an excited kid again! The gameplay is flawless and offers so many new gameplay experiences it makes you want to see the next level so much! Astrobot character is fantastic too, as are the huge boss battles.

The levels have so much variety between them with huge scale and superb music – this magnificent 3d platform even outshines Super Mario!!.

I bought a Oculus Rift sensor and controllers hoping to get them working with a different brand of VR goggles. I was able to get the sensor recognized but when I tried to get the controllers working the software said it needed the Oculus headset.

Apparently the controllers do not work with early Oculus goggles. It may be that the Controllers talk directly to the headset rather than the computer, or Oculus writes their drivers and software to make it hard to used the controllers without their goggles.

Recently Oculus began selling the controllers with the headset as a package, essentially giving the controllers away in the deal.

These controls are precise and just feel right. Lovely design and just works great. They fit any size hand and always feel good. They have a nice weight and have good feedback with vibration. Having worked alot with vive controllers and these I can safely say these win by a huge amount.

I’m so new to VR and this is the game that got me going. Love being impressed and this one has it in, especially first time trying it out. If you like to share crazy wild experiences with your friends this is the game to put on.

I loved Arkham too but very short game, lots of nice surprises in it. Robinson Journey I was actually getting sick moving around and the play got really boring, I would continue to finish the game but I just couldn’t feel that motion sickness anymore.

VR World, fun, but damn so short so this is really best game for me so far because I like to share and this one is for sharing. Get your friend over and set up a camera while his playing. Lot of laughs afterwards.

Can’t wait to get Resident Evil VR in my hand, looks promising. Right now Rush Blood is so cheap it’s a must for collection, very recommended.

I didn’t think that I would enjoy horror games that much, but Until Dawn: Rush of Blood was well worth the purchase. This game is great to show off VR to your friends, it will definitely make you flinch and might make you scream.

I was worried about simulation sickness, especially on the fast roller coaster portions of the game, but I didnt experience any simulation sickness when playing this game. Put this one on your “must purchase” list for Playstation VR.

Terrifyingly fun and you feel completely immersed. It has great jump scares too! Got some hysterical laughs watching friends and family replay the same levels I played that had terrified me. So much fun!! I would say I lucked out since I got the game on sale via PlayStation store for $5.

99. Worth the full price of $20.

I took a chance on this lens, since most of the reviews seem to categorize it as a replacement for the earlier 16-85 f3. 5-5. 6 – with marginal improvements. Many reviews spotlighted it’s shortcomings and the fact that the reviewer was expecting more It also seemed like many of the reviewers were of the opinion that the 16-85mm was the better “value” I was also “concerned” about the fact it is a reconditioned unit – which can be viewed in one of two ways 1.

the unit has been hand inspected and EVERYTHING is in tip-top shape ! 2. or, something is bound to get overlooked ! Well – the answer in my case was- #1 – it is an Excellent Lens! I found that many of the reviews cited sharpness as being only “marginally better” than the earlier 16-85mm.

But right off the bat this lens proved to be significantly sharper when I viewed images from both lenses in my on camera display screen and then confirmed the findings on my computer using View NX. Bokeh is very good and it will work well for portraits i.

e. unless you are REALLY picky. Granted, distortions are a bit more pronounced at the 16mm end of the zoom, than the 16-85mm, which I found were very good. But if you zoom just a tiny amount (i. e. to 18-19mm) barrel distortions start to disappear.

Pincushion distortions at the long end are negligible unless you shoot subjects that have a lot of straight lines in them. But realistically – would anyone consider this lens as a replacement for architectural or portrait lenses? – NO! – so don’t expect it perform to the same levels.

This is an extremely good multipurpose lens that provides very sharp images in lower light levels with surprisingly good Bokeh. It’s MY new “walking around” lens that will go on many more vacations to come And my last concern – Who is Visions? – Most of my purchases are from stalwarts like Henry’s and Vistek Well, I placed the order online, I received email updates on delivery progress, right up to the final “Delivered” email.

I’m very Happy.

A standard zoom is something most enthusiastic photographers have in one form or another, and having had a few during my photographic experience they can be useful but limiting. Nikon offers a number with the 16-80mm being at the top-end of the scale and it shows.

I bought a used Nikon 16-80mm f2. 8-4 from Wex which for the price, plus the trade-in credit I recieved from a Sigma 17-50mm f2. 8, was an absolute steal, particularly given the RRP of the lens. The optical quality of the lens is fantastic, while the zoom range of 16-80mm (equivalent to 24-120mm on a full frame) gives it a real edge over most wide-angle-standard zooms.

It is perfect for a whole host of photographic subjects/genres from being a walk-around lens to dedicated travel and landscape photography. Additionally weighing 480g it is noticeably lightweight, certainly lighter than the Sigma 17-50mm I replaced, with the weight being well distributed making for a nicely balanced lens+body combination.

The aperture range of f/2. 8, at the widest focal length, to f/4, at the longest, is also an excellent inclusion from Nikon. This range, like the focal length, is an advantage over other wide-angle-standard zooms placing the lens above most non-pro-spec lenses.

Really the competition this lens has is from the Sigma 17-50 f/2. 8 which has the benefit of the fixed aperture across the focal length and is cheaper. Finally the autofocus is fast, smooth and crisp.

Some reviewers elsewhere have said that it’s noisy, and it is if you’re using it in a really quiet room as I did when I first opened the box. However in reality the AF is whisper quiet out in the field, no louder than my Nikkor 35mm f/1.

8G which is beautifully quiet. You always notice AF noise when you’re listening for it in a qiuet room, but out and about I have no qualms that I can get the shot without disturbing anyone. I would definitely recommend buying one of these though given the RRP is dear it’s worth looking out for second hand copies.

Excellent lens. I wanted a lens that would work for most occasions and this lens fits the bill. The actual range is 24 to 120mm on a Nikon DX camera, so that makes for a very handy wide angle to medium range telephoto lens.

So far, I’ve used it for portraits and small group shots, architectural photos and some landscapes. I’m very pleased with the results. Light gathering properties are also very good with a maximum aperture of f2.

8. Build quality is very good, as you’d hope for a ‘gold standard’ Nikon lens. Handling is excellent – you can fine tune focusing manually without flicking a switch. This is the lens I will fit to my camera most often.

I’ve had my Van Staal VR200 for a few months now and have enjoyed pairing the reel to both a 10ft Cape Cod Special Surf II rod and a 9. 6ft Dark Matter John Skinner Surf Rod. The reel has performed flawlessly surf fishing from the rocks in Rhode Island, the beaches on Cape Cod and the Canal.

The Vr200 replaced my aging bail-less Penn 706Z (weighed 22 oz). Pros: Manual Bail, Sealed Body, Weight (18OZ), No Wind Knots, Even line lay, Braid Capacity, Line Turn Per Handle (40”), large Drag Knob; the bottom line is that it is worry-free for me.

I also like the fact that the reel is a fairly simple design (should last forever) and I can get it serviced/repaired at Saltwaters Edge in Middletown RI. Cons: 1) Price: the reel did NOT come with POWER KNOB when purchased – I expected it for what I paid.

2) Supply Chain: I wanted to purchase an extra reel (175 size) spooled with lighter braid for Albie Fishing but the Gen 2 175 spare spool isn’t available yet. Conclusion: I no longer have to worry about getting sand in this reel while surf fishing as I can dunk it to rinse it off.

Prior to the VR200 I was constantly servicing my Penn 706Z. Guess what – I’m no longer worrying. Thanks, SWE for a great reel.

I wondered what all the fuss was about with Van Staal reels. I’ve had Penns, Shimanos, and Daiwas and have liked most of them. This reel is a big step up clearly. It feels like butter. So smooth. Paired with a new Century Mag Weapon Jr 7’3″ rod I am as happy as can be.

It took a bit to get used to manually closing the bail, but that isn’t a big deal. The whole set up makes small fish seem bigger and big fish feel manageable. One thing that I like about the Van Staal that stands out is the drag.

The adjustment is very progressive. It doesn’t tighten up all at once. The adjuster has the perfect level of click detent and easy adjustment. Just right for playing a fish that is pushing the limit of your leader or line limit.

I can tell you for sure what my next purchase will be when it comes to a spinning reel! My partner says about the new reel/rod combo “This is a rig I could really fall in love with”. I guess it is time to save my pennies and get her one too:) You will not be disappointed.

Decided to finally get a Van Staal, went with the VR 125 on silver. I love it. Saltwater Edge is a great company with exceptional shipping, most of the items I ordered are shipped the same day. I live in NE Florida.

I do mostly jetty and inlet fishing and wanted a slower gear reel with more power to throw swimbaits and Flairhawks. I will be pairing this reel with a Phenix Black Diamond 8’6FT 15-40 Lbs rod and spooling it with 20 Lbs braid….

Investing in lenses of this type, you expect the lens to be first class. Indeed, it is, optically and in its build quality. I prefer this lens to the 600mm f4, which is another top class lens. I hand hold this lens and get tack sharp images as well as sometimes using a mono pod, those saying you cannot hand hold this lens are wrong, it’s all in the technique.

I use this lens on a D5 and D500. Well mainly the D500 as you get increased reach with the DX body over FX. Rent one of these lenses before considering investing your money, it’s the best way to checking this lens is right for you.

Wex do a fantastic rental service. There is a marked step up in optics with the fix primes over the lesser lenses, you’re paying for the quality of the glass and speed of operation. I’ve never had to send the lens back for repair, or broken anything.

I’ve had the lens years. Yes, you can field review the lens and read all the tech, but to get the feel and to see if this lens is right for your needs you have to get one out and use it. So I am not going to go into all the bits and bats about the lens.

If you’re seriously looking at spending this sort of money, you’ll have had the sense to hire one out a few times before committing to owning one. I know it’s been one of the very best buys I’ve made, plus earning money from your work is important in recouping some of the financial outlay for this and other top end lenses, unless you have a spare 11k stuffed in the back of your sofa.

The worst telephoto lensI have rented. It had a major focusing issue. I took over 2500 shots of large wildlife animals, which were either still or moving very slow at shutter speeds of 1/1600 or 1/2000 sec and most were not in focus.

In some I noticed that background was in focus but not the subject I was focusing on. I used software Topaz sharpen but that could not sharpen to acceptable level. It didn’t help that I had a major expense participating in this photo tour.

I bought 2 devices, one for my wife and one for myself. One device came in mint condition, no blemishes. However, that unit had a technical issue where it could not be set up for data in my country. The second unit came with scratches along the top, bottom and sides.

Thankfully not the screen or back glass. That unit was technically functional. As for the device itself, you would be very hard pressed to get such an awesome device for the same price new. This thing is a beast.

12gb of RAM and the 256 internal storage. You are never without. The screen is almost bezelless and is an amazing panel. I’d recommend it to anyone who can afford it!.

screen protector is not warrantied so i spent an hour this morning getting set up with your local repair center to replace my scratched factory installed screen protector before the warranty ran out.

so now the repair center called and said they don’t replace those, and basically i am out of luck because samsung does not replace those. why put a screen protector on that you don’t stand by? all my previous phones i used a high end phone case with built in screen protector to protect my phone.

i am so disappointed that i will just have to live with scratched screen instead of having the ability to replace it myself. samsung really fell short on a great phone by claiming you had a screen protector, but not standing behind it.

This was not a new phone as described. How is this allowed by Best Buy?.

Bethesda allow MODS for their games, which blows them wide open; play without, then add a MOD or two for a second play through. Don’t expect to be done with the game in 30 hours, this is more like 30 weeks.

I have come across the series quite late as I’ve been busy with other titles, and I can’t see that I’ll be done with this one and trying Fallout 3 before the end of the year. This is a fighting and building game and not only do you follow quests, you can upgrade weapons, armour and craft chemical based ‘potions’, throwables and mines.

I’ve not used a chemistry station yet, as everything can be found in the world. The power suit is available early on and a few can be found just waiting to be claimed – though the fusion cores to power it aren’t prolific.

Building settlements can be a bit samey, so I try to use different materials and layouts, colour themes, etc but what works is usually repeated. Google for any advice on MODS, and GOTY has selected ones so you can start right away if you choose.

The Fallout franchise goes back to the old text based 3rd person action game days. It really took off in popularity when Bethesda took over the project and introduced Fallout 3 as a 1st person shooter with great improvements to richly textured, open-world playing map that allowed you to go and do whatever you wanted and not have to strictly follow a scripted game.

You had a choice of character types to build from a good-guy melee fighter to a bad-girl sniper. There were various factions you could ally with or fight against and a post-atomic war wasteland full of mutated creatures to fight.

Whereas Fallout 3 was set in Washington DC, Fallout 4 is set in the Boston area. The graphics are even better, with textures and scenery that are amazing. The city scape is a maze of crumbled buildings with winding streets that are densely packed with a new challenge around every corner.

There are new factions added to the old and a new story line to investigate from Vault 111 where you awaken to find your child has been taken and it’s up to you to venture out and find him in a destroyed and dangerous world.

But, before you do, there is another feature to the game. You can also use workshops to build structures, furnishings, defenses, water and food resources to create safe settlements for people to inhabit and earn money for you.

You can craft better versions of the guns, melee weapons, and armor that you find. You can craft useful chemicals and medicine to heal yourself or companions who join you in taming the wasteland. Beside the basic, main quest, you will constantly find side-quests to assist other groups along the way and be sent on missions where you will find specialty “legendary” items that benefit you in your future battles.

There is a huge following to the game with a presence on social media sites including full walkthough gameplay videos on Youtube. The game is available for PC, XBox One, and Playstation 4. The PC version requires a high-end fast gaming PC that can be more expensive than the game consoles but at the top end can outperform them.

It would also require a large amount of memory and an expensive video card, but you can enter “console commands” via keyboard to interact with the game the way the developers do in creating special items or unlocking items that would normally be out of your current level of difficulty.

The gameplay on the consoles is very good with graphics set to less than extremely high settings. The game is a mix of shooter and role-playing games. It offers a little of both worlds in visually stunning and entertaining way.

It isa hugely popular game for a reason, it is pure fun and well worth the money.

I bought this because it has dropped recently to sub 5 if you shop around. For that money you get a helluva lot of content. I am not the biggest fan of the Fallout games, much preferring the swords and sorcery of the Elder Scrolls.

I have really been enjoying what I’ve played so far, the base building and collecting all sorts of random crap is probably my favourite part – the combat is what ruins it for me, no matter how good YOU are at aiming a gun you can still miss some shots unless you use your limited VATS but I like my combat to be more instantaneous.

Give me a sword to swing at someones head anyday. There is no denying the workmanship that has gone into creating a believable Post apocalyptic world and graphically on the Xbox one X it looks as good as on the pc for me (My pc can’t do 4k yet) you will often be surprised at how colourful the world is with some really beautiful skies.

I will profess and this is my problem with the game, if you don’t have much spare time then its really hard to do anything. Took me about an hour to get in game in the first place and it can take a good 10 – 15 minutes to even arrive at a story location, and then you need to add on time to complete it.

Luckily you can save whenever you like and carry on from that exact point, otherwise I would not be able to play it at all – I am lucky if I can grab 1 hour a day for gaming these days. If you’ve never played Fallout and have got a lot of time on your hands, you could do a lot worse than spending a fiver on picking this up for your hard earned money you will be getting a lot of hours of play as long as you can get to grips with the combat system.
