Best Voice Chat For Gaming (2025 Updated)

First, I am extremely picky when it comes to shape, weight, and fit of headphones, so it’s rare for me to find a pair that I can wear all day comfortably. After a week of wearing the the Logitech G535 Lightspeed headset, I’m excited to share that these are, by far, the most comfortable pair of headphones I’ve tested.

In the box are the headphones, USB dongle and charging cable. Setup is very easy, plug in dongle to either PC or PS4 (I tested both) and the headphones are connected. The design is unique, in that there is a band of stretchy mesh material that sits below the headband frame.

This fabric supports the weight of the headset over the top of the head, and distributes the weight evenly, so no pressure soreness or discomfort even after a 10 hour day of wear. There are two height adjustments for the fabric, giving plenty of ability to fit various head shape/size, and the fabric is reversible for either an aqua or purple-ish color.

The ear cups sit over the ears and are a light weight breathable foam, that were appropriately roomy for both myself and my teens. Lastly, the overall weight of the headset is ~1/2 lb, making these much lighter than the majority of other headsets I’ve tested.

Build wise, the materials feel like a quality lightweight plastic versus flimsy, such that I don’t worry about the occasional fall off my desk. The controls are on the left ear, and being left handed, this is preferred.

On the back side of the left ear cuff, from top to bottom are the indicator light, power button, volume wheel, and on bottom is the USB charging port. Battery life was two full days of back to back meetings and into the third day, this is without me powering off when I’m done, but rather tossing the headset on my desk and taking off for the day.

The mic does not detach, but will rotate up (mute position) fully out of the way. The range distance from dongle is impressive, as I can go downstairs, across the house and not lose audio feed. I estimate I was ~40′ away from the laptop, through two walls at the farthest point.

As far as sound, during videoconferencing / music / and routine PC work stuff, I found the sound quality to be strong. This means I could hear everyone during meetings, the mic doesn’t pick up my nearby background noise or my breathing, and I didn’t find myself having to adjust the volume during different audio tasks throughout the day.

Note, while the 535s have a strong quality, these are not music studio audiophile quality, however neither is the price point. As far as gaming goes, I found that I could clearly hear game based environmental noise (players behind me, footsteps, weapon reload, etc), with slight directional nuances, and zero noticeable lag.

Overall, highly recommend, the comfort for a wide range of head sizes is the number one feature for me, closely followed by sound quality, weight, and battery life. This is a fantastic versatile headset that I can’t say enough good things about!.

Honestly surprised by Hyper X. I had tested out the Steelseries arctis pros and arctis 7s aswell as the Logitec flagship model going for 200$ and they all sounded flat and didnt have much Bass to them.

The logitec did have more bass than steelseries but these Hyper X Cloud Alpha S headphones are Fantastic their mids highs and lows all come in sounding ultra crispy and very well balanced out of the box! The ability to go open back or closed back is fantastic and for a trained ear you can hear the difference.

Most of the reviews on here say they cant hear a difference and it almost made me turn away from them until I tried them myself. If your on the fence and are looking at the 200$ steel series models or logitec flagship models save the extra 70$ and get these.

The 7. 1 virtual works great with windows DTS headphone:X the spacial audio on these are very good for FPS games and the ability to go open back and get more bass has made my music listening experience improve 10 fold.

Im hearing things in music ive never heard before and its almost like listening to a song for the first time. All my gaming buddies say my voice is alot clearer than my previous headset so that tells me the mic is a difinitive upgrade over my previous set, For reference I had hyper x Cloud cores that lasted me about 5 years and they still work but the sound quality was diminishing due to age but I loved them Another thing I have to say about hyper x headphones is the comfortability and durability I dont think I could break a hyper x headset if I wanted to these babies are tough! On the comfortability side nothing beats hyper X if you suffer from headaches from headphones hyper X headphones are the only ones I can sit and game for 8 hours with no pain.

I spent days looking at headphones and im glad I chose these. hyper X has never let me down. Highly reccomend them if a pair of 200$+ headphones is a hard pill to swallow for you.

I hate to say it, but these are just horrible if you care about sound quality at all. When connected through the included USB audio control mixer, the sound is “fine”. Nothing about it is great but nothing is too bad.

yet. I tried to use these on my Dell laptop and while they work in their normal mode, the virtual surround mode just flat out doesn’t work at all. No audio whatsoever. Their instructions are outdated so you have to just kind of mess with things until windows says surround is on.

When plugged into my laptop without the USB mixer things really get bad. The bass is weak, the mids are muddied and the highs are tinny. When I hooked them up to my FiiO DAC/AMP things improved a little.

There was more power and I had a little more room to try to boost the bass more, but it was still pointless. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t get these to sound good. I hooked up my old Oneodio A71 headphones to compare and they sounded world’s better.

What’s sad is those A71’s only cost $30-40. These advertise adjustable bass, but that’s a lie. What you get is a switch on the back of the cups that opens a little port hole, making them work a bit more like open back headphones.

It doesn’t boost the bass, it lets more air move around, thus changing the whole sound profile. I do admit the build quality is solid, though the headphone cable could use another foot to its length in my opinion.

A few years ago I would have recommended HyperX headphones. I loved my Cloud II’s. And maybe those are still good headphones. But I would avoid these like the plague.

I am loving my Logitech Pro Gaming Headset for Oculus Quest 2 so much that I forgot to write this review. Versatile I especially love that it’s NOT configured just for Oculus Quest 1 and or 2 but can be used for normal regular computer activities including calls, zoom, Google meet, etc.

Adult Size My wife and kids used it a few times but complain that it’s too bulkie and heavy compared to other head sets they’ve used, and they are correct. But I like that about it as those are solid reasons why I’ll be the only one using it since I don’t mind it’s weight and bulk.

Noise Cancelling I’ll say most because I do hear a little of what is happening outside my zone. I’ve used quite a number of headsets but yet to come across one that cuts me off from the outside world.

However, I don’t discredit my headset because I still want to hear the knock at the door or my wife and or kids calling for my attention. Features Three I must highlight but feel free to ask me anything else of interest to you.

1. Aux cords; yes there came two, a short and a long, to be detached and attached as needed 2. Mike; can also be detached as well as adjusted up, down, in and or out. 3. Volume; on the long Aux cord is the means to control volume being done distance away from the volume control on the device you’re connected to.

So far this is the best headset I’ve had the privilege of using.

I was highly skeptical on gaming headsets as I own a pair of high-end audiophile headphones and microphones and from past experiences gaming headsets were not all the good. Until these. I didn’t want to spend too much money on a headset since I just wanted something that was easy to transport for lan party’s and for on the go.

I spent some time looking around and a friend recommended these to me and WOW! They are amazing! For what you paid, you got amazing sound quality and microphone quality. Friends complmented me on the new headset.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from these when I bought them. Obviously they’re not gonna sound like $600 headphones and $300 microphones but for only $100 you’re getting an amazing deal. The mic is cleared and detailed, while the speakers themselves were crystal clear.

My friends can hear me perfectly and I was able to hear the smallest details and listening to music with these were not all that bad. So if you’re considering these, buy them. You won’t regret it!.

The price of this grip compared to a Nikon made me nervous. However, it works and feels great. It’s secure, fits well and is comfortable. Everything works and the camera reads the battery level just find.

I was impressed with the finish as it matches the camera really well. Glad I didn’t spend more money needlessly.

Overall, I would give this headset a 4/5 starts based on the perceived quality, price, and value. This is by no means a Turtlebeach headset, but it gets the job done. If you’re looking for a headset for your middle-school or high-school aged child to use, this is probably worth considering.

PROS: The portion of the headset that has the earpiece is pretty comfortable on the ear. It’s not too tight, fairly soft, and projects a decent amount of sound. It’s by no means noise-canceling, but it rests firmly enough to your ear, allowing you to comfortably hear what you need to.

Adjusting the volume is straight-forward since the volume wheel is also located on this portion of the headset. CONS: Headset fits a little tight. I have a pretty small head, and the side without the earphone presses rather firmly into my temple, such to the extent that I had to move it around into different spots after playing several online matches because of a slight headache.

That being said, I only had to do this for the first few days. And I’m not sure that this is that fair of a criticism–I’d rather have a headset be too tight than too loose, always falling off my head.

I imagine that it will get a little bit more stretched out over time, making it a little more comfortable. Just something you should anticipate if you have a larger head.

At first glance this headset looks to work for a multiple of age groups because of its expandable design. All three members of my family can easily fit it on our heads and have it be comfortable. I would say that the design overall lends itself best to a teenager.

The ear cushion was lightweight and soft to wear for multiple hour gaming sessions. I prefer a wired headset for longer gaming sessions so I do not have to concern myself with charging a headset or an issue of power arising at an important battle.

This cord was of decent and average length, though I would love to see the core slightly shorter so that it isn’t in the way with extra cord length. The volume was easily adjusted and also easy to mute thanks to its flip up design.

I really love this feature as I like to mute my conversation when a family member walks in the room. For a simple headset with just enough features to get by I really enjoyed this one.

The audio quality is pretty good, and the microphone turning off when you flip it off is extremely useful. No need to fiddle around with wire controls or software controls; just flip up the microphone! The only grievance I have is that the DAC comes with sidechannel audio enabled.

If one wants to change this, they need to install Logitech G Hub and turn it off. For those unaware, sidechannel audio means that anything the microphone picks up will be played back through the speakers.

This can be quite annoying when unwanted. The downshot of this is that Logitech G Hub is not available for Linux! In order to change this, one needs access to a Windows installation or a Mac. It’s a small issue for most, but a major issue for others.

Otherwise, well worth the money spent for it, especially if you can grab it for cheap.

I like these headphones a bunch, i use it way more than my PC speakers, actually i just removed the speakers, now i only have this headphone, the bass is strong and i love it. I recommend to use the dongle that comes in the box for the extra bass and better surround sound.

The mic disconnect feature when you flip it up is really useful, i don’t need to mute it manually or anything is just a simple flip and that’s it. People say they could hear me fine so that’s cool. I was worried about durability at first but after using it for months now.

its solid. For now at least. this plastic build worrys me alot. I don’t want it to break down one day just for using it. and i took real care for it too trying to not let it drop off my table. Overall, for the price i paid for, its a really good headset.

Ah forgot to mention, i used it on a PS4 controller trough the headphone jack port, it also worked really fine, no problems there. You only miss the surround thing.

I’ve always loved the Logitech headsets and have probably had 4-5 in the past. So far this one is my favorite. The sound is great and helps eliminate any other sound outside of the game I’m playing. It has volume up on one of the ears which makes it easy to adjust versus some of the other that have it on the cord.

Sound quality for both games and voice chat is very crisp and clear and from what I’ve been told, the voice output is also clear for those you are speaking too. the padding on the ears is great and very comfortable especially when wearing them for a couple hours of gaming.

My only complaint is they are a bit heavy. I find the top of my head gets a bit sore after a bit and I have to move the headset so it is rest more toward the back of the top of my head instead of right in the middle.

The top of the headset does has a good amount of padding but even with that you can feel the weight.

(’22) IC: Daily Task – Microsoft and their gadgets! Pfffttt. Let me tell ya, We ought to have invested in this company. Our Grandsons just have to have this headset to chat with people while playing their games; I guess it’s ok but REALLY? So that’s what you do with this headset, communicate while playing with others; works only with Xbox.

I would recommend it for that purpose.

I am a heavy gamer, and own multiple headsets. I always end up defaulting to this headset, since it doesn’t take up a lot of space and is convenient to just grab and plug into the controller. I always have 7.

1 atmos surround sound, and I like to take advantage of that as much as possible, and a dual ear headset just doesn’t have the same sound profile as full room sound. The chat clarity is fantastic on this headset.

It’s amazing that these sound so good, especially compared to the PS4 chat headsets. I know its two different consoles, but even the PS4 Gold headsets sound about 1/4 the bitrate of these. It’s very noticeable on Fortnite with crossplay.

I have not ran into a PS4 person with chat quality anywhere near these stock headsets. I’m giving 4 stars because these are really flimsy, and sometimes are broken right out of the box. There are multiple breaking points.

I’ve had the 3. 5mm pin, the wire connecting to the dongle, the wire connecting to the headset all become faulty on multiple sets of these headphones. Still, they are a great value and the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for chat only.

I pick up one of these every few years. They are perfect for me as I don’t need the full headset that plays the game and chat, I have a set but rarely use it. I prefer my surround sound in my room. But this headset is perfect for just game chat and I can wear for a few hours and it doesn’t really bother me.

Idk why people complain about these not lasting.

The only reason why this doesn’t get a 5 star from me is prolonged comfort. If the non-earpiece side had a better mesh covering, it’d be perfect. But after a couple hours of use, you will definitely need a small break from the headset being on your head.

Other than that, it’s a fantastic headset. Initial comfort is good, easy to control, and the mic has a light telling you when it’s on. Best thing is, you can hear your room sounds/audio while clearly hearing the party chat.

Something else that’s cool is the cable is long enough to not be a hinderance, and your volume can be controlled on-ear by rotating the outer ring! Honestly, that’s a different feature I’ve not seen before.

This headset is a simple plug and play. Out of the box it’s easy to use. Simply snap together and your ready in minutes. The headset adjusts to fit a variety of head sizes. The the mouth piece is easily adjustable to bring the arm toward your mouth or push it further away.

This helps in making your game play more comfortable. Easily mute your chat by tapping the ear piece, and control the volume by turning that same ear piece in a clock wise/counter clockwise direction.

This headset plugs right into your controller. This is comfortable to wear, I don’t get tired, or find this uncomfortable on my ear or head.

I was expecting more from these headphones. At first look and try on, the headset was comfortable. I could position and move the mic well, and it wasn’t too tight on my head. But after a bit, I could tell it was very cheaply made.

The strap length adjuster was very hard to move, it didn’t glide smoothly. The sound coming through was okay, but speaking into the mic caused my voice to come out grainy. Also, the ear piece was basically a speaker.

Even with the volume turned on low, I could easily hear sound coming through, and on high volume the headphones were useless (might as well not be wearing them). The headphones were majority plastic, and the cord length was pretty short too.

Comes with a 3. 5mm jack, so can be used with most types of devices including mobile phones. I’ve been using a PC8 for a long time and wanted to buy a 3. 5mm input one. PC5 chat serves the purpose, and a great value for money.

Note: Volume and mute buttons are not available, whereas they were present in PC8. Would be good if they are added to PC5 as well as a new product variant.

1. headphone grip is loose so good for long working hours on laptop but not for joggers or while doing exercises. 2. microphone is good but noice cancelling of microphone is not very good, i have Logitech h111 which has better microphone quality and noice cancelling.

3. Sound quality is clear not too much of baas so music lovers may not find this good but for conversation it is best.

I am quite disappointed with this Chinese make which looks different from the original one I saw on internet. When a person is typing something on his computer during a course I hear a pounding sound of each of his typing.

Even its microphone is terrible as it catches the sound of fan running above me. I purchased this for such noise cancellation and this microphone does not serve any purpose. Also I found like the demo model it’s ear base is too small in diameter and can not slide up down.

Will never buy any products in future!.

Amazing headset. One I always use. I’m not a hard core gamer so I don’t look for a headset for hearing games. So with that being said this is an amazing mic to use for usual online chatting. My favorite part is the mute button over a mute switch so no one even knows when you mute your mic.

Easy to use volume adjustment and great voice pickup. Also being one ear I listen to the game through surround sound instead of a tight headset and I’m aware of my surroundings.

Very happy with this headset. I’ve gone most of my life using Razer headsets and honestly don’t know why it took me so long to change brand. I was constantly disappointed with Razer headsets and always having issues with them, whether it be the terrible software, driver issues or the headset itself.

The EPOS headset hasn’t had any of these issues or really any at all. It even has a longer cord than any other headset that I have owned which is very important for me because of how my computer is set up and the minimal space I have (My computer is up a little high and most cords struggled reaching that far).

This headset is also just plug and play so you don’t need to worry about getting some terrible software that just takes up space and causes problems. Other great features this headset has: – Mic is detachable and has covers that make it look like there never was a mic.

– The whole thing is very very light. – The closed design is actually really great and cuts out a lot of other sound. A little too good. Best not to put these on if you’re meant to be listening out for things.

– Comfortable with a soft fabric around the ear muffs rather than the whole thing being that cheap leather so it’ll last a lot longer. – Braided cables, so no need to worry about the cables getting ruined.

I’ve followed the EPOS lineup closely for about two years now after my girlfriend gifted me the Game Zero’s for my birthday. This is my first purchase with the company and it’s been absolutely amazing.

Capturing the bass from the intense explosions on the occassional battlefield in 2042 or just capturing the roar’s of the t-rex from JWE2, this headset was a huge upgrade from my game zero. I totally recommend it for anyone interested using it for FPS genre or good soundtrack-oriented games.

It hits on another level.

Excellent headset. Has a very natural sound, not over exaggerated on bass like Razer or high on treble like turtle beach. The most comfortable headset I have personally ever worn. Also everyone who has tried has said same thing.

Is plenty loud enough also but if you have a dac will make it louder and more customisable on sound eq. High price but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Shame the racing green were not available.

I like the comfort. I don’t like the USB plug is only for the lights. The mic and headphones is via jacks only the USB does not transmit the microphone. In short maybe it was in the fine print but I typically read things carefully.

I went and got a real USB headset. I don’t think these have active noise cancelling, just big ear cups.

i really like them they are comfortable to wear and dont hurt my ears like my last one. they really do cancle out the noice too like people arguing in the back ground and other stuff. Definitely getting another when i need a new one.

fied Purchase This gaming headset is very comfortable to wear, have tried wearing them for four hours and could not feel any pain when taking them off. No problem with the sound quality and sound transmission delay.

The only I will say is that they are a little bit bigger than I thought, but it is fine because I am only using them at home. After all I think it is a very cost-effective product.

Got it on sale, but it’s the best gaming headset I’ve had. It’s built solid, I’ve had headphones break due to cheap plastic design flaws, this one is solid. It blocks out alot of background noise, the sound quality is also very good.

The mic is clear and detaches (they give you a face plate to cover it so they look like normal headphones, so you don’t look strange on the Train ect. ) The only downside I can find is if you wear them long term (3 + hours) your ears might get hot.

I’ve had many headsets from hyper x, turtle beach and SteelSeries. I can’t believe it took me this long to stray from the usual mainstream headset. The noise cancelling on this headset is insane! You won’t be able to hear anything outside of it.

The quality for music and gaming is better than any other headset I’ve ever had. I genuinely think this is worth the money, considering I got it at sale price of nearly $200, its a steal!.

I have absolutely love these headphones. super comfortable, great sound quality. only downside is the joints split and broke after a few months of use, might just be my big head, but the plastic construction certainly doesnt help.

After repeatedly slipping the headset on and off the joints have produced cracks. Buyers be aware! But certainly worth the money!.

I was skeptical because the price was so low but on there website it cost $99. 99 at the time of this post, for $20 something can not be right. I chanced it and I am extremely impressed with the quality of it.

It is Logitech and the quality is there. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget and wants good quality. The bass is crispy and it is lightweight and the foam ear pad is not to hard on your head.

I could not think of a better set to have for the price of $20!!!!! Dont think about it parents, just buy it for your gamer children. It wont disappoint!!!!.

The wire is easily jarred – touch it even slightly in the wrong way and the audio messes up – the ear cups aren’t comfortable and the headset itself is just not something I want on my head for hours.

Literally used it for about 4 hours trying my best to give it a try. In the end I went back to my much cheaper but more comfortable and reliable headset. I know people on eBay seem to like it, but I recommend checking out Amazon’s reviews for this item.

The headset is fine, but worth $200? Idk. The build quality is pretty solid despite it feeling like a cheap material. It’s relatively comfortable and light, a little tight at first but that gets better with continued use.

My biggest issue is with connectivity. I’ve used it with the Series X and it connects well and the app allowing you to customize its settings is cool but, and maybe this is a problem with Xbox wireless technology in general, it tends to have poor connection with sounds pulsing.

Like cutting in and out basically, idk really weird. Also you can’t turn the headset on without turning your Xbox on, which for me isn’t an issue but some might find it to be. Also the Bluetooth was one of the major reasons I bought this headset so I could use ot for both my Xbox and PC but apparently BT isn’t as far along as I thought.

The headset sounds great through Bluetooth, a little delayed but that’s normal with BT but as soon as you try using the mic through BT the sound quality drops abysmally. Like unusually quality when it need the mic on Bluetooth.

I ended up purchasing the Microsoft wireless adapter it was so unusable through Bluetooth. In conclusion, decent headset in some areas, but really falls short in others.

Sound is very crisp but doesn’t get too loud. I had an arctis 9 before this and it broke so I had to replace it. I thought that the Steelseries headset was bad because it would it would periodically turn off without notice and drove me nuts but I will say I miss it now.

There were a number of good reviews for this headset which I find very puzzling but I think it’s because the reviewers didn’t use it as much with bluetooth on at the same time. The sound is often distorted and requires frequent resets, and this includes times when I am not using bluetooth.

And I mean multiple resets every gaming session. If I turn the balance heavily to bluetooth, it will reliably disconnect from the xbox with no notification. I am unable to turn it on to use for bluetooth without turning on the xbox, which is fine and how the Arctis was.

Conversely, if I turn off the xbox the headset will automatically turn off even if I am connected to my phone which is just mind-boggling. When it works, it is fine. My speech seems to be clear and the microphone doesn’t have to be too close to my mouth.

Reading about it is very impressive, but it is so horrendously unreliable. I wouldn’t buy from them again.

Very nice headset at a sale price, but not as good as I had hoped. Volume is good, with minimal distortion, however I found connection issues when using the app for controlling the equalizer and other customizations.

Headset could be more comfortable if the head band had thicker padding and covered a little more area on top of the head. Ear cups did a good job covering my ears but I found them to be a little loose.

I have an average size head and felt the cups could use a little more clamping force. Overall sound was good and could be modified in the app directly from the Xbox. Positional accuracy was very good when using Dolby Atmos.

Battery life is acceptable and as advertised. I like the lighting on the ear cups, however it does take a toll on battery life. I found it cut the battery life by approximately 25%. Build quality is good and I have had no problem connecting to my iPhone.

Firmware updates require access to a PC. Updates are not possible on a MAC.
