Best Voice Changer For Discord (2024 Updated)

This is an absolute life saver! I have 2 pc’s for streaming and getting audio between the 2 is a headache. With this it’s just a total of 2 aux cords going between the pc’s and connecting the the mixer and your done.

I did have a little bit of static between the sources so I just bought a few ground loop isolators and now it’s perfect. I very very highly recommend getting this if you are going to take streaming/content creation to the next level.

Purchased my first GoXLR in May 2019. This device is a game changer for any streamer looking to put control at their fingertips. I highly recommend both the GoXLR and the GoXLR mini. I recently picked up a second unit (GoXLR Mini) for my streaming PC to expand and provide just a bit more flexibility.

The only issues I have had are not related to the product but to the manufactures ability to provide service only due to high demand. If they can get their feet under them and up the service and support game I would move my review from 5 starts to 5+.

Again that has nothing to do with the actual product.

If you were screw these ear pieces into your ears as recommended, it would no doubt cause damage to your eardrums. I tried, and even gently trying to fit these in your ears hurts a lot! It causes pressure on the ear drum that is too painful to securely fit these in the ear canal, or even loosely in the outer ear.

Even as tightly placed as i could, they did not cancel outside noise at all. In fact the $4. 99 pair I bought at Ross actually cancelled outside noise out better. The tiny, shallow buttons are hard to find, and also hard to press.

You have to press extremely hard for the unit to turn on or off. Also, I was unable to use the buttons to skip to the next song. I have always had a problem finding earphones that are tiny enough or shaped correctly for my ears.

My ears are not especially small, but are small on the inside. I thought by investing a lot more in a specialized pair of headphones, I would finally have a decent pair that would at least not fall out.

The yellow rubber part was way too large for my ears and could not be wedged in, in such a way that I could comfortably wear them. I did like the tiny clip to hold the cord onto your collar, and the battery lasted for a very long time.

In this way – these are superior to other brands. I wish I had not trimmed off the yellow flanges in an attempt to make them more comfortable, because I could possibly have returned them, and used that money to buy two other pairs.

These definitely will not protect workers from the noise of machinery or any other noises. I could not hear any music above the sound of my lawnmower, and to do so, I would have had to turn the sound up to dangerous levels.

I don’t understand how the designers thought it was a good idea to force a vacuum against the eardrum, and then to exacerbate that by screwing the object in further. I shudder to think what “popping” this vacuum might do, when you take them out!.

Got these for my factory job about a year and a half ago and they’re really great. The sound is legitimately impressive and my battery lasted about 12-14 hours on average I’d say. They have some flaws though.

Battery was wearing out towards the year and a half mark but they still lasted me an 8 hour shift. Also they would randomly just… freeze? Like my music would pause randomly after like 6 hours of listening.

Turning them off and back on would fix it but turning them off was glitched. Wouldn’t turn itself off for like 10 minutes. Not a huge deal, I’d just have to go like 10 minutes without music, then restart them.

But it was mildly annoying. Also, one flaw is, after like a year and a half, the rubber cord eventually cracked like cords do. This made the wires exposed and somewhat glitched the sound out if I jiggled it too much.

Today, I snapped the wire and broke them for good. But they were definitely good enough that I came back to get new ones. Also the customer service is good, sent my cousin a brand new free pair when his broke, no questions asked.

All in all, I’m really impressed with these despite the flaws I dealt with.

I am happy with the purchase. I was worried I would not be. It has good sound, simple, easy to insert, charging simple as expected. Phone calls not only sound good, but am being told the sound is clearer than the phone itself.

And my truck has loud exhaust, but that didn’t come thru or bother caller at all. Nice to know! 😉 There are only two things I think Elgin could work on. Making them light is nice. But I would almost want a tad more weight hangin on each side, and more balanced.

The headset seems to constantly turn and make one side longer than the other which will eventually make you have to even them up every now and again. Second is, sound has good mid, great lows for such a small speaker.

However, the highs are almost non existent. There is no way I can call the high frequencies crisp or clear as they don’t appear to be there. So Elgin, keep the mid and low, give me some more high band, and these things would almost be perfect 🙂 But thanks so much for the product offered.

Just can’t beat the value. Steel construction at a cheap plastic price. Plug and play, Windows 10 automatically installed it with no user input. Volume on the mic itself is crazy handy for making quick adjustment without changing programs or opening settings.

The design drawback is that the microphone is not connected to the center of gravity of the tripod. Because of this, it cannot be stable in an upright position. For balance, you have to set it obliquely, which is acceptable, but not very convenient.

Quality is good.

Sturdily built with a gain control. I’d bought a cheaper mic, but you get you generally what you pay for, and it wasn’t that great – I had to get too close in order to record at decent levels. Whilst this isn’t by any means a “Studio Quality” mic, it’s not studio quality money either.

It does a decent job at. adecent price, and I’m very happy with it because of that.

Constant radio static: Steelseries support claims this is an unavoidable part of wireless audio. Im not sure if they are dumb or think we are. This is the only wireless device i’ve owned, besides a cheap kids walkie talkie set, to have static.

They sound awful: The have almost no base at all. As in when you run the sound test from windows sound menu, you almost cannot hear the base voice line at all. Same for the steelseries GG softwares audio test.

The software is severley lacking: The equalizer is missing most of the sound range, giving you very few options for improving the sound. They have a beta software called sonar, which has some of the best features iv’e seen and drastically improved the quality of the headset to atleast match cheap earbuds.

But this software works with any audio device from any brand. So your still better off starting with a better headset. The construction is flimsy, impossible to repair and uncomfortable: The ear cups are connected by a single hollow rotating joint.

Any drop or big bump threatens to turn this $500 headset into a useless lump of plastic. The weird way they connect to the headset makes it nearly impossible to tape or glue it back together if it did break.

The headband design is bewildering, the single thin unpadded strip is guarenteed to start causing pain in any extended gaming session. The solid arching piece connecting the ear cups, seems to just add unnecassary weight and barley holds tension.

The cups are only just wide enough for my above average ears. But not nearly deep enough. if your ears stick out these will likely be painful for extended wear.

I have had this headset since November 2018 and It’s an ALRIGHT headset but definitely not worth the price. PROS – 2 batteries so you can quickly switch between them so you can charge one while using the other – Wireless – Good mic – Good sound – volume wheel on headset is good – Wireless base station with a good screen – Bluetooth connectivity so I can talk to someone on the phone while simultaneously having game sounds coming through the headset – Mic retracts to be nearly invisible Cons – The on button.

You have to hold it for what feels like 5-10 seconds before it turns on. – The headset turns off when you switch the batteries so you have to turn it on again when you put the new one in. – The mute mic button is really sticky and doesn’t feel high quality.

Plastic rubbing against plastic and not pushing in smoothly. – The “game audio” and “chat audio” thing is horrible. My chat audio always comes through with a high pitch wine. I have all my audio running through “game audio” – The headset sometimes switches on and off when I put the headset down and pick it up.

– Head band does not have enough range for different sized heads. – The small nail cut out for taking the side panel off is difficult if you have short nails. – Ear cup “leather” degraded and disintegrated, leaving black stuff on the side of my face.

– Part where the metal head band arm met the ear cup broke on the ear cup plastic. – It can connect to your computer via a cable but not USB C. -.

The comfort is good and the overall sound quality and mic is pretty good. That said, i believe it is way overpriced for what you are getting, and the HiFi aspect is a bit of a gimmick considering what these are made for.

Some games don’t play well with the HiFi 96hz mode enabled (I also have a MOTU M2 audio interface that can run at 192KHZ with my 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros). The problem with Hifi mode in games with the Steel Series DAC mostly has to do with the directional quality as the sound isn’t fluid as you pan around.

It randomly jumps sometimes instead of panning smoothly when orienting your character in a video game. That isn’t the case with HiFi mode off, but there is also an issue the appears when running these in the normal “PC” mode.

There is a well known glitch i quickly discovered when running this headset on the default “PC” mode which gives you separate controllable channels (thru the DAC) for both your chat and game audio. They are called “GameDAC Chat” and “GameDAC Game”.

If you do not put your PC to sleep with the “GameDAC Game” set as the audio solution currently being used “GameDAC Game” will disappear in the audio menu when you wake your PC. You will have to either unplug and re-plugin the DAC, or go into the DAC menu and turn on “HiFi” mode for a second, then turn HIFI mode off.

Windows 10 will display the “GameDAC Game” audio selection again. Just Google “GameDAC Game disappearing” and you will see what I am talking about. It is an issue that has been going on since release of this headset, but hasn’t been fixed for some reason.

i’ve been using the headset for about 3 weeks now and i can say im very happy with it. My only concern has been the joints where the headphones meet the headband as theyre kind of weak looking – but theyre solid and made out of solid material and after having the headset in hand its not much of a concern.

The sound quality is great after a little bit if fine tuning in the steelseries eq software that you have to download for the headset. It doesnt sound amazing out of the box with no eq settings but its still passable but with the eq its definitely a LOT better so play around with it and get it to where you like your sound.

The mic is a lot better than i had anticipated aswell. I’ve watched multiple reviews on the headset before deciding to purchase it and was very pleasantly surprised to find out that the mic is loads better than my previous headset mic.

(hyper x cloud stinger). Given that is a budget option it makes sense, but i was under the impression wireless headsets compromise the quality of the microphone. Well that seems to be kind of false as this mic is actually very good.

The only thing i would suggest is getting a little foam tip pop filter for the mic as S sounds can have a hiss to them from this mic but other than that i would say its pretty flawless. The skimask type headband also surprised me with how comfortable it is its a very comfortable headset and doesnt cause any discomfort over long periods of time.

If you have a humungous head then this headset may be hard to fit on your head but the biggest setting fits me comfortably. (6’4″ 210 lbs for reference with fairly sizable head). The only knock i can put on this headset is that it doesnt come with an aux cord so you can plug your phone or what have you into the receiver to listen to music while gaming at the same time.

The headset also has a game/chat wheel feature which is very nice if you get into clutch moments and need to only hear the game and shut off any discord sounds in the background of loud friends or what have you.

Overall this headset is worth the purchase and if youre looking at getting a new wireless headset i would recommend it as it beats headsets in terms of quality at even higher price points than this. Steelseries has done a good job with their headsets and if you get even newer models im sure they’d have improved on what they had already established.

PS: Im glad i did research before ordering as the Arctis 9x and the arctis 7 are essentially the same headset but i thought higher number = better headset like a monkey brain. The sole difference is that the 9x is specifically for console whereas the 7 can be used for basically everything (could be wrong) but it works for PC and should have SOME compatibility with consoles but not full capabilities.

But the 9x is specifically FOR xbox. So if you mainly play on PC then dont even look at the 9x model.

Everyone I knew warned me that the charging port would go bad. I assumed it was just unlucky. Nope. Within 7 months it will no longer charge unless you hold the wire just right while there’s a quarter moon in retrograde.

This is with normal use and without any ripping the cord out or jamming it in. Because of the warnings of my friends, I tried as hard as I could to be careful with it, but it still biffed it 7 months in.

But the sound quality is good. The Sonar feature is amazing and really enhances the surround sound of the headset. The comfort is perfect for me and the ability to adjust the volume mix on the headset itself is awesome.

If only it would actually charge.

Excellent value for money. Sound quality of this set is simply amazing, bass is DEEP, midtones are clear and voices are very distinguishable. Battery life lives up to 2 full days of office work, easily.

The headband feels somewhat odd at first, but after a few hours use you realize how comfortable they are. Hearing your own voice was a little fiddly at first but can be tweeked in the supplied software.

This a premium headset, the quality of the product is inline with above the price point expectations as is the audio quality, and whilst you will never be on the receiving end of your own voice, I am told by my colleagues, that the mic is excellent and it sounds like you are in the room with them.

The product is a pair of black headphones with a power/ Bluetooth switch on the right side of the headphones. Also on the right side, is the volume and pause/play button. The purpose of this product is to play music or audio with great sound performance.

My personal experience with the product was amazing. I have had this product for about a year and a half now. I feel like the sound quality offers more compared to Beats headphones and AirPods. My reason for saying this is because with Beats by Dre you feel every beat drop and with AirPods, the quality isn’t bad but in my opinion, it needs more work.

Personally, I don’t really have that many cons of this product but, a couple of pros and cons are that yes they are noise-canceling so if you don’t like hearing outside sounds when listening to music then this product is for you but if you like be aware of your surroundings this product isn’t for you.

Great sound quality compared to other headphones like Beats by Dre and Skullcandy, I found this product offering better sound performance. A helpful pro is that the headphones can fold which makes it easier for me to store them in my bookbag when I am traveling.

A big con that I have about this product is that the padding for the ears did kept coming off, so I had to replace them a couple of times. For the overall product, it is accurate compared to the product description.

My overall impression of the product is that I would give it a 9/10 only because of the padding part. I would definitely recommend this product to another customer. If I had enough money I would buy another pair for just work and keep my other one just for at home.

I had, and still have, the Bose QuietComfort 25s, which are still incredible headphones. They’re not bluetooth which was fine when I get them. But I wanted to bluetooth to my laptop to listen to my music and Youtube, to my cell phone to listen to music and to take and make calls, and to ultimately connect to my TV.

I purchased the 35 II. They’re just as amazing as the 25’s, but with bluetooth. The best part is I can make calls from my cell and no one can tell I’m actually using headphones to talk. The microphone(s) in the ear piece picks up my voice without having to talk louder.

I called my friend in another state and didn’t tell him I was not only using these headphones, but walked all over two levels of my house while my cell was on the kitchen table and he could not tell I was on headphones.

I told him after an hour that I was using headphone with no microphone in front of my mouth. He said he couldn’t tell the entire time. I connected to my laptop and put on my favorite music and the sound is outstanding.

The channel separation is great and I’ve heard instruments and singing in songs I’ve listened to for 40 years that I didn’t know was there. I’m hearing my music in a whole new way. The Noise Cancelling is as perfect as I want.

My wife can listen to the TV in the next room, which I can perfectly hear normally, and I hear nothing but what’s coming through my headphones when I have the noise cancelling on. The best part is I can also not use bluetooth and plug directly into the audio jack of my phone or computer with the supplied connector.

I’ve not had another brand to compare these to, but after reading many reviews, and my personal experience with other Bose products, I didn’t even consider another brand. I bought these on sale before Thanksgiving for ~$180 which really made them a great buy.

They are so good that I bought a second pair as a Christmas present for my son who I know will appreciate them as much as I do. It did take a little getting used to using the volume control on the right cup just because I’m not used to adjusting volume without seeing the controls, but that is minor.

I haven’t tried using Alexa while wearing the headphones so I can’t comment on that although I will be experimenting soon.

This Headset works great, I lost the mic a couple of time and just contacted corsair they sent a brand new one right over (I did this twice). The headset aux port stopped working 1 month after warranty and they still said to send it in as warranty.

The audio works great the range on the Bluetooth is a little week but will probably get you about 50ft from the device before fully cutting out about 20ft before it gets distorted. The delay on the Bluetooth audio is there but not as bad as some of the cheaper wireless headsets/ear buds you could get.

The mic has alright audio, sounds the best over the type c cable, the mic did not work for me over Bluetooth. comes small and takes about an hour for it to take the shape of your head, (P. S. DONT LET FRIEND WITH BIG HEAD WEAR), my headset now falls off my head if I shake/turn my head too fast.

The build quality is really good with a metal brace going all the way through the headset with plastic and fome/pleather exterior. this might not be the headset for you if you are looking for light weight, the good build quality comes with the flaw of weighing more.

for those who are too lazy: you put it in paring mode by having it off then holding the button till it flashes red and blue, then it will show on your device.

These are all-purpose headphones that work really well for all of your devices and for multiple purposes, everything from gaming to Zoom. Features: By far, the best thing about the these headphones is that you can listen to up to three devices at once, just NOT all three over Bluetooth.

I recommend using usb if it’s applicable because the sound quality is best over USB (more on that in Sound), but you can pair two devices at once on Bluetooth. These can play audio over Bluetooth, AUX (3.

5mm jack), and USB at the same time, although I’ve never found using all three at once useful. I have used USB and Bluetooth together for some background music while in boring Zoom meetings. While only using Bluetooth, it isn’t possible to listen to two audio sources at the same time.

However, keeping your phone connected is really useful in case a call comes in while gaming you want to quickly switch to answer the call. Sound: Interestingly, these sound markedly different when listening using the 3.

5mm cable when compared to using USB. I’m not sure why, but this is normal for theses headphones. The audio fidelity is much higher over USB, better than over 3. 5mm or Bluetooth. The sound is pretty full, with decent bass response and accurate reproduction of mids.

Although the passive noise isolation is below average, they get fairly loud, so drowning out some noise is possible. Build: The detachable microphone is of really good build quality and sounds clear.

The headband can be adjusted above the ear up with a numbered guide to keep both sides even. The ear cups angle up and down, and there is even some swivel. Overall, the build is solid but surprisingly light.

Comfort: I recommend these for anyone who spends a lot of time on Zoom, because the large ear cups are big enough to completely surround my ears without pressing on them uncomfortably. I wear glasses, and they remain comfortable for a good period of time, however, after a few hours the top of the headband can be uncomfortable.

Buttons: The volume scroll wheel is useful for having quick access to volume controls without having to fumble with volume controls on your connected device. I like that there is a dedicated microphone mute button, but I would prefer a different implementation than a button switch.

Essentially, when the button is flat, the mic is muted, but when it is raised, the mic is on. For me, I don’t like having to remember whether or not I am muted and I still cannot tell at times. This could have been improved by using a normal switch, and maybe even including a voice prompt or sound indicating the mic is muted.

Software: The Corsair software is fine, but not required. It gives you plenty of control over sound presets and EQ if you need, but I haven’t even installed the software on my new computer and don’t really miss it.

I own the original HS70 as a backup headset for my Lan bag. I made the mistake of buying it as a refurb, and paid the price with poor battery life (roughly 6 hours). Outside of the battery life, Ive always liked the clean simple design of the HS70.

No RGB (runs the battery down + I cant see it anyway), reasonably comfortable, and the RF always connects without issue. Also shows up in Discord with the proper outputs every time. My regular headset is a really expensive Steeleseries Arctis 7, and while the sound quality and comfort are a hair better, the connectivity and volume levels in Discord are always a box of chocolates very annoying.

So I was excited to give the HS70 BT a try. Im not a Bluetooth fan. I always get weaker volume levels, and inconsistent connectivity with BT headsets. I see reviews on this model that say the same thing.

My experience the past couple of weeks has been excellent. The included USB-C cable is plenty long enough to use as corded, but I dont see the need. I have about 30 hours of game time on the HS70 BT, and not a single Bluetooth issue.

No drops, volume issues, nothing like that. I will also say that I run a larger external antenna off the Ryzen X570 board my system is built around, so maybe that helps. The fit of the HS70 BT feels better to me than the original.

Slightly looser band doesnt crunch my glasses/ears nearly as much feels great. Sound quality is solid, and I had zero issues with pairing. Ive also had no issues with the device losing its pairing to the machine so far.

It has that same great removable mic (though the foam mic diffuser really needs a dot of glue, as it just falls off really easily), and Corsair includes a USB-C cable, and a 3. 5MM cable, as well. The software isnt great at all.

Ive never been a fan of iCue, and that hasnt changed with the implementation on the HS70 BT. I really see no reason to run it, or even install it. First off, you have no access to the headset settings unless connected via the USB-C cable.

Forgivable, but when running the software without the cable, your headset doesnt even show up. Instead, you see a small piece of temp/CPU frequency monitoring software in the upper-left corner. Looks half-baked and incomplete, like theyre still working on it.

When you connect the cable, you see your headset, but outside of some EQ settings, and the ability to set profiles, you really don’t have nothing else to see/do. The most glaring for me is that they dont have a battery life indicator.

I must be blind as I just dont see it. Not on wireless (nothing to see) or plugged in. Theres a Home and Dashboard view, and the Dashboard view is just a black screen. So thats a big whiff for me. Better bring the charging cable at all times.

Regarding the battery life, it seems fine. I gamed for nearly 12 consecutive hours with the HS70 BT, and no issues. However, I have no idea how much juice is left, so Im inclined to just plug it in when not using it.

The manual says that it doesnt have a trainable battery, so no need to let it run down to nothing all of the time. Overall, the HS70 feels like a quality headset, and is priced comparably to what you see out there in the gaming sphere.

The lack of a battery life indicator makes no sense to me, and is a huge detractor, and the EQ settings all sound similar enough to me that I wouldnt even bother installing the iCue software unless they added a battery life indicator to it.

No need right now, as its an easy Bluetooth pairing, and basically just plug-n-play. Your results may be different than mine regarding BT connectivity on the PC, but Im impressed so far. Recommended buy, but dont waste time with the software.

I purchased this product because of one single feature(baby voice effect) and found it to have quite an array of other useful features as well. The build quality is excellent it doesn’t take up too much precious room in my studio and I think the value is very good, the only downside is it does not come with a power supply.

Great product as always from zoom , lots of bang for you buck and quality , I will use this product all the time , the harmonies are terrific, easy to use , sound natural , tip don’t colour your sound too much , don’t over do it , just a little it will do the rest.

Fun piece of equipment that delivers surprisingly great results

bought three of the Electro Voice Cobalt 9 microphones for my PA system. I used them this weekend when I was sound tech for a local band. Alongside Beta 58’s I couldn’t tell the difference as far as clarity and the way they cut through the mix.

No feedback issues at all on a very tight stage. These are clear and hot mics that will get the job done for a rock band. I did notice a slight bit of handling noise but not enough to care about. I only wish I had discovered them sooner.

recently purchased this mic for a higher price than currently offered, and thought it was good at that price; it’s even better now, a great buy at this price. Up against an sm58 i also have, it’s clearer and not quite so much midrange, sounds more natural, but still adding some warmth and presence to the tone.

sensitivity is about the same. handling noise somewhat more than the sm58, but that’s not a problem for me, as i keep it on the mic stand. The plosives “t” and “p” pop a bit more, than that fabled mic though, and i look inside and look through the mesh and find that the foam on the inside of the cover is of low density, so maybe this could be fixed by a tweak from the manufacurer.

I just use an inexpensive wind cover on it and it’s great, fixes the problem. Sturdy, feels good, looks good. haven’t compared it against a cobalt 7 or 4, though the specs look identical, and with the sale, they’re basically the same price.

I have now lived with one of these for over a year. It’s a great vocal mic, and is roadworthy. It’s been dropped hard several times and it works as good as new. Head to head with an SM58, this one wins hands down, not just my opinion, every singer and musician who has heard them side by side says the same thing.

This has a crystal brilliance and fullness that the SM58 lacks. Since it is less expensive and just as tough, I’m replacing all of the 58’s. This is the mic you want – you would need to spend $300+ to get anything close.

I’d been borrowing a cardioid XLR mic to stream (via a USB Audiobox) but wanted something more versatile for my own needs. This was so easy to plug in and go – we did have to sit and play with the settings a little, most notably there was a little too much bass for my voice, but you can play around with the audio filters in your streaming software to perfect that.

With minimal gain, it picks up my voice crystal clear and, most notably, doesn’t require any ‘fiddling’ when I sing (my previous microphone required me to change settings quite frequently). 100% recommend to any streamer or anyone requiring a USB microphone.

I use this to record ambient sounds. The stereo recordings sound very good. If I wear headphones and close my eyes, I can actually point out where the sounds are coming from. Almost a binaural experience.

The recorder is easy to use, feels well-built, the USB direct port works well, and I like that it uses AAA batteries instead of being another thing I need to recharge every day. I can just put this recorder in my drawer, pull it out a week later, and it’ll be good to go.

Side note: I’m really glad that you can still buy these dedicated digital recorders. I know that my phone has a recorder app, but I hate using my phone to record stuff. It’s cumbersome to need to unlock your phone, return to the homescreen, find and launch the app, and then tap on a virtual button, and all of it while needing to look at a screen.

The Olympus recorder is much easier to use. It’s a lot smaller than a smartphone. It’s just one button, and having actual physical buttons that you can feel and press means that you can use it without looking at it.

The recordings sound better than the less expensive Olympus Voice Recorder (the VN-541 PC). I also purchased a mic to try and get a cleaner sound but will not even bother trying the mic out. Upon starting the device there is a short animation displaying the Olympus logo followed by a request to set the time and date.

This request happens every time you turn the power on, or it decides to turn itself off due to “low” battery. Although it is showing 3 bars and a full battery it will turn off suddenly or flash a low battery icon until manually turned off.

This claims to have battery life of 100 hours but has apparently burned through 4 triple A batteries while I have owned it for less than 24 hours. The product also claims to record over a thousand hours of audio but after 5 hours of recording, 17.

5% of the memory a used up, indicating that it only records over a thousand minutes. The menu is buggy. The icon for each menu item changes as you scroll through the menu.

The product is quite appealing in design and usability. It feels good in the hand and looks well-made. Very portable and easy to use. However, the downside is that it needs to be placed on a firm surface whilst recording and not touched or moved.

Not something that can be carried around whilst recording as it produces scratches and noise that is picked up through the plastic body. This is extremely distracting and undesirable. Otherwise, the recorded quality is adequate.

Overall I think the price is about right.

I didnt like the product at first, the sound was to traveller and harsh. Instruction manual that came with it didnt explain that this could be changed. After a considerable search on Google I finally found instructions to tell me how to fix the problem.

The reverb on the unit is good,But certainly not excellent. The reverb on my inexpensive behringer mixer is better. The pitch correction is excellent, which is the main thing I wanted it for. Overall a good product, especially at the price.

I will certainly be using it on stage.

I?m a guitarist trying to dip my feet in singing and wanted something to give me a little safety net. The pitch correction is definitely effective and not really noticeable in a mix. The echo, reverb, and multifunction tone button really do sweeten my vocals.

I can?t really imagine gigging without it. It seems to be durable and well built. I?d recommend this to anybody.

This works for exactly what I needed it to do: Playing venues with limited sound mixing options, and/or no sound tech. It allows me to quickly dial in a fair amount of atmosphere, because a dry sound is not suitable for the style of music we make.

Not sure quite how the tone button achieves its effect (I suspect it’s a bit of compression, with low cut EQ and a boost in the highs), but it definitely helps add a little bit of polish before the desk.

The autotune seems to work best in small doses, especially in a small room where your natural dry sound will mix with the PA sound. Reverbs and delays sound great, but may be too restrained for some singers though.

I find the sweet spot to be at the max of each reverb/delay type. It’s obviously been designed with some restraint in mind to avoid reverb and delay causing feedback. So don’t expect the effects to get super saturated.

While I don’t need anything more than what this pedal offers, it might be a bit too tame for some.

Firstly I’m a huge Alienware fanboy, but I’ll list the pros and cons as unbiased as I can. Pros: 7. 1 Surround sound is excellent, greatly improved directional sound and footsteps in fps gaming specifically in Valorant Ear Pads are super comfortable and overall build quality feels solid The cables are long enough to where they don’t get in the way The microphone is decent for the price and compared to other headsets in this price range Cons: The pressure that the headphones apply to your head is a bit much so it will get uncomfortable after a couple of hours in my opinion.

This factor will be different for everyone. Audio EQ – These headphones are very low mid heavy so if you have and EQ to adjust it then my recommendation is to cut in the 300hz frequency range 5db and boost the 5Khz – 10Khz 4db.

If you prefer bass then a boost in the 40hz -120hz of 3db will be good too. You can Alienware Command Center with these headphones to make the adjustments but Alienware Command Center acts buggy and often requires a clean reinstall of the program to make it work properly.

If it’s your first time installing ACC then you probably won’t have an issue. Overall I enjoy the headphones and love the Alienware aesthetic. Really the only con I listed that can’t be fixed is the amount of pressure the headphones apply to your head but that’s not a huge issue to me and It’s a matter of getting used to them.

I got these to replace my company provided headset, which were on ear and generally not too great. The sound these put out is decent, but I use them mainly for talking with my colleagues (Teams) and listening to training videos.

They are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and I really like that the mic recesses into the headset to get it out of my way. They are not the best headset available, but they work great for work from home and are comfortable enough to wear all day.

I did try to listen to some music on them, and while they sounded good, they were not stellar. I know this is a gaming headset, but I have not had the chance to use it with a game. I wish the cable was a little longer, but it is of normal length and so not really an issue.

I have had no issues with the mic, and my colleagues say I sound normal, so I guess the mic on these is pretty decent.

PROS First off, I want to say that these are very comfortable. I have a larger than average head so naturally finding a comfortable headset is a little harder than most people. The audio quality is equal to or slightly better than my already good old Razer Kraken V2’s that I replaced with these.

As with most modern Alienware products, build quality is also solid; these things feel like they could last a decade and still look as good as the day you bought them. FLAWS If you were looking for a gaming headset to use for comms in competitive games, I sure hope that you don’t like to listen to music/game sounds at more than HALF VOLUME because otherwise, THE MICROPHONE WILL PICK UP THESE SOUNDS!! As you can imagine, if you are open mic in Discord this can be extremely distracting for your teammates.

Now you may be wondering why the mic picks up so much of this sound, that is because the cans on this set leak an ABSURD amount of audio; not to mention they are not effective at all at sound isolation; so I hope you enjoy hearing everyone in your room; while they hear every game sound/lyric you are listening to.

Lastly, Alienware Command Center is GARBAGE!!! It is a buggy mess and is a horrible user experience. Do not recommend using that if at all possible lol. Only get these if you don’t care about competitive comms (or if you plan on strictly using Push To Talk) and don’t care about any sort of sound isolation.

(I bought these on a different retailer but wanted to get this review here to warn people if these are things that would make them unhappy with their purchase).

IšverstiShow in original languageI use this as my primary microphone; I also have the Yeti-X. This microphone is absolutely perfect for remote work and makes life on virtual meetings MUCH easier. Any stand can work based on needs but I did get a Blue mic arm because I like the look and feel best.

I set up the HyperX QuadCast so it is positioned higher than my monitor between me and the monitor in a horizontal alignment. My audience can hear me clearly and I never have to touch it. I do use the 3.

5 audio jack back out to the laptop and set Teams to use HyperX for both Microphone AND Speaker. This allows the HyperX to effectively eliminate the meeting audio so it is not echoing other participants on the calls.

I also like the red LED glow because it is clear I am not on mute and the mic is live. The slightest touch mutes/unmutes the mic. The gain is something you find easy to adjust when you first start using it and its one and done for the most part.

I never have to consciously look at my microphone or hold my head a certain way to be heard. This mic is perfect for me. I use a Yeti-x on my secondary system and while its good its not quite as good as the HyperX.

Previously I used a studio style condenser microphone was worried this USB style would be “less” quality but it was actually MORE quality. The technology is SPOT ON! The price point is a little less than its competitor and in my mind at least since I own the competitor its a real value; it is the best microphone for virtual conference type usage.

I have also created some training videos that have very clear and robust audio. I think the audiophiles would agree the videos I created are quite good considering my lack of experience and equipment LOL!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI looked at several USB type microphones for game chatting and I didn’t want to listen to distorted voices all afternoon, either. After some checking around I decided to try this model.

This model is a mini USB input verses type “C” and just RED LED, but this is inconsequential for the difference in the prices. I am more interested in the voice quality. This may be game specific, but playing WARFRAME the chat sound VERY, VERY good using the frontal directional cardioid pattern.

I do use GENELEC G Three speakers or FOCAL earbuds, which helps. Still, this is a very clear and even handed sounding MIC for the money. It is built really well, too, and easy to use immediately. All the drivers auto-load fine and work.

The tap on top to turn on/off is nice as is the volume knob at the bottom of the MIC. The stand is heavy enough to stop tip-overs and sliding around. The POP filter is built-in but the MIC is sensitive enough to not need to be close mic used.

My initial problem was one channel out! The 3. 5 mm ear-bud connection needed a FAR, FAR firmer PUSH than I expected. Once I figured that out, all is fine. That input does seem awful stiff. but better than too loose.

The wire routing through the back is good, preventing the mini USB type plug from damage. I do hate those plugs over type “C” but it is well protected from side to side impacts that can mess them up.

For this application it is fine. Plug the plenty long cord in and leave it. For a USB PC based non pro MIC, I can’t say enough about this choice for gamers, and even streamers, the voice quality is that good out of the box.

tested EQ responses are really flat, with a small step rise above 2K but is inconsequential at less than 2 dB or so. The treble rise is there on the tested unit but overall the MIC is aimed at FLAT.

IšverstiShow in original languagePlease note that when I received the HyperX Quadcast, the same week the Quadcast S released. I used the Quadcast before returning it and believe that functionally, theyy are nearly identifical.

The biggest difference is the color scheme and the RGB lighting. The Quadcast S uses a USB C connection while the original Quadcast uses a USB Mini connection. The Quadcast is a very high quality product.

HyperX (which is Kingston Technology Company’s gaming division) set a high bar with their Cloud line of gaming headsets. And while the Quadcast may not be the BEST microphone you can get your hands on in this price range, it’s loaded with features that give it value and flexibility.

While the Quadcast looks great, especially in an e-sports environment, the Quadcast S is elegant. I would recommend the RGB Quadcast S, unless you’re buying multiple microphones and building a themed studio.

The recording quality on this microphone is the best I’ve ever personally experienced, outside of some specific academic situations. If I project my voice, I can comfortably sit back in my chair and the mic will pick up my voice.

It works better when I’m in proximity to the mic. Naturally a boom arm will add some flexibility there. Communications and audio devices on computers tend to not be the most straightforward thing, but the mic works plug and play.

The tougher part is putting all your audio settings together for, say, game recording. But it is do-able and even for an amateur, the end-results are presentable. While playing some crossover Modern Warfare Warzone with friends on PS5, my voice was described as “very HD” The only knock I can give it, is you don’t really get any kind of way to monitor your levels in real time.

Although the pop filter and shock mount help, even just a simple overlay that displayed the levels would have been nice to include. I’m sure you can find applications that do this, but since HyperX offers a variety of audio products, they may consider developing their own software sweet for controller and monitoring them.

So It’s important that I have a working mic at all times. This is what I do for extra money, at the time. And eventually I hope that this will become my full time job. So my Blue Snowball Microphone kicked the bucket recently.

It lasted me 3 years. And that microphone cost me $90. This one is $30 and. well, the sound quality is good. It’s a four star rating, type of good. So basically what this means is you’re probably going to have to buy an arm in order to make sure that this thing is kinda up close and personal to your face all the time.

This is fairly normal, but I’m really not used to that. When the mic is close to it’s subject (you) the quality is pretty dang good for a $30 microphone. Technically is’t $29. 99 but we all know that means $30.

My Zoom meeting friends day this mic improved the sound 100%. The tripod is very light, and the mic heavy, so I am careful not to knock it over. The sound quality is excellent given the price is so affordable!.

Great microphone quality for what you’re paying, I use this for streaming and occasionally music recording and it provides clear audio quality. 10/10 would (and will) recommend!

My child has wanted one of these for a while now, and although she has been having a lot of fun w/it, i would say that it produces 4 distinctive sounds rather than 8. So, she does like it, but I was hoping for slightly better results considering what i spent(about $14 w/tax).

Fun to have, but should prob be priced at $10(total).

Fun thing that makes a lot of noise. It is not a highquality item but a toy. Cannot expect more than that for $7. Anyway, I am going to pick it apart to use it for a cosplay-helmet. Should be okay for that.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for an 8-year-old boy, and HE LOVED IT! In fact, he didn’t want to put it down. He found it VERY entertaining! (The adults, however, found it a bit annoying after a while, so I would have to say that it’s entertainment value depends upon your age.

).

This caused many laughs over the Christmas period, for a whole mix of age groups not just the intended 3 year old!

The kids as well the adults really love using it.

Grandsons very pleased with the voice changers.

I researched the Cobalt 8x extensively several months before buying it, with the reviews given by Sound on Sound, Sonic State and Andertons being the most informative and in depth. The Sonic State and Andertons YouTube reviews swung it for me, in that they showed off just how capable and forward thinking the Cobalt 8x is on almost every level.

It’s sounds go way beyond virtual analog, with the Oscillator section alone providing an incredible amount of possibilities to shape the sound. This is before you even get to the 3 LFO’s, filters and effects sections.

It can do warm fuzzy analogue brilliantly, but also FM too. The presets are pretty good as it is, but the oscillators and algorithms invite you to do much more. I have the Argon 8x too, and they complement each other very well.

Both are built like tanks, with aluminium chassis, and have premium quality Fatar keybed. The Cobalt 8x is a joy to play and, like the Argon 8x, I feel I will be exploring the sound shaping possibilities for many months (years?) to come.

I’ve owned many analogue and digital synths over the years, and Modals gear is up there with the best, in my opinion.

Quite a challenge to get started but it’s a sophisticated and proper grown-up bit of kit. You have to work quite hard to get bassy lush polyphonic pads but they are there with a little perseverance. Step into mono or stacked voices and it gains some real power and character.

I think it is different than analogue but in a good and complimentary way. Strong points are build quality, polyphony, 61 note keyboard, and the huge number of voices available. It’s an addictive beast that makes it difficult to switch off.

The app is really good. Phaser, echo, and negative flanger are all excellent. Will make a brilliant controller. Great metal structure and endless encoders. Some weak points (although the list gets shorter with familiarity).

Reverb doesn’t really do if for me. It’s a bit unintuitive to access the mod matrix and LFOs without using the app. The apps fonts are a bit too small as are the machine’s. The filter is not the greatest but the dynamic oscillators more than make up for this.

I would like a separate noise oscillator. Overall when you look at the cost of just a control keyboard the synth is nearly (ok not quite!) free. This was my first serious investment in a synthesiser and really do not regret it.

I wanted a poly with enough for both hands and nothing else really came close for the money. Ok I have dm12 now too at about the same money and it compares and contrasts with the Cobalt8x in a proper pleasing way.

No regrets. Highly recommended!.
