I’m currently using tatcha’s rice wash cleanser, paula’s choice (on days where I don’t wear makeup and don’t double cleanse/exfoliate with peace out blemish balm), glow recipe vitamin c serum, and skin fix+ moisturizer along with cerave moisturizing cream.

The bumps on my face have disappeared, I see less and less redness on my cheek area AND my acne scars are fading. Like any other product, it’s not going to work unless you have other products to help combat your concerns.

It’s definitely on the pricey side but I feel it’ll go a long way. I saw major improvement after 3-4 days of use. I usually do one pump and it’s enough to cover my entire face. I also chose this one because it’s a whole lot cheaper than some of the other brands on Sephora.

I wanted to love this product but ultimately was not happy with the results. The jury’s still out on whether this did much to improve my dark spots. Pros: – The bottle is adorable. – The fruity smell is very pleasant.

– The serum is a nice texture (not super sticky), felt nice upon application, and absorbed quickly. Cons: – As several folks here have already mentioned, the adorable bottle is also SUPER impractical.

The pump tube does not go all the way into the bottle so you cannot get all the serum out with just the pump. Fortunately the pump comes off and luckily I have makeup spatulas handy (a MUST have, by the way), and I was able to get all $45 worth of product out of the bottle that way.

This product is REALLY good. I have pale skin and the sun damage on my face is super visible and noticeable. As I’m going in my younger 20s, i have heard to start using Vitamin C products during the day for an anti aging treatment.

I read that this was a super light vitamin C and that it was safe to use everyday. I even read that this could be combined with the BHA toner from Biossance since they are both so gentle. Well let me tell you, that did not work for me.

I used the BHA squalene toner and the Vitamin C serum together ONCE. By the end of the day, my face felt super greasy, which is unusual for me because i have normal to dry skin. No irritation whatsoever afterwards.

I used this serum everyday for a week straight after that without the toner. My face got SUPER irritated. It was so bad that even my squalene and amino aloe cleanser was contributing to redness in my face.

But don’t worry, it was nothing that a little vaseline couldn’t fix. As I have learned from my mistake, this product and probably any other vitamin C products shouldn’t be used everyday when it is your first time trying this product.

Take your time, slowly transition into a routine, a little break out and redness can happen, but it’s all about getting to know your sensitivity on your face. Now I learned a proper routine to use this without irritation, my face has never been so glowy.

I can already see a difference in sun damage being reversed and acne scars lightening, so this product is definitely worth it! Just don’t make the same mistake I made in the beginning. And remember, everyone’s skin is different.

I was waiting to finish a bottle before writing a review. I bought this serum knowing that it takes time to lighten dark spots (and difficult). After using this for about 5 months very generously every morning, I discovered using it makes my skin more moist and definitely has brightened my skin.

My mom who I see only once every few months immediately noticed that my skin looked clearer and brighter and said my skin looked like it was glowing. I bought this mostly for anti-aging preventive measures and wanted to see if it would do anything for my dark spots.

I still have dark spots (they might be freckles) but my overall skin is much clearer. I only use it in the morning and I found it works better in the morning for me because it doesn’t mess with any of my night time routines.

I think it’s a good general serum that has benefits. I have generally clear skin so I’m not sure if there are any other benefits but overall it helped brighten my skin (just don’t forget sunscreen!).

Biossance products are generally hit or miss for me, but I really really love this one! It has a beautiful milky texture that absorbs really well and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy like most vitamin c serums.

I’ve noticed some overall brightening to my skin and fading of hyperpigmentation, but am not sure if it can be fully attributed to this product as I’m using it in conjunction with a few other targeted actives in my routine.

This serum is very sensitive skin friendly, and I also enjoy using it under my eyes. The texture is incredibly nourishing as well, and I find this eliminates the need for a separate hydrating toner or serum in my routine.

All of that being said, it’s still a lot of money to drop at once for a product containing a form of vitamin c that lacks peer reviewed scientific evidence to back up its claims, aka all of my results are purely anecdotal.

I’ve added vitamin C serum into my regular routine for the past 10 months or so. This is my 4th vitamin C serum that I’ve tried. I do love the brightening effect and am a fan of the formula! However, I did noticed that the vitamin C serum was a higher concentration than of other serums and it stung a bit when i first started using it every day.

I had to slowly get my skin used it to, starting every other day and eventually using it every day. Despite the fact that my skin was already used to vitamin C. I’d recommend slowing integrating this to your routine, especially if you’re never had a vitamin C serum in your skincare routine!.

GREAT product for my hyperpigmentation from acne. I broke out bad from using a different tranexamic acid product from Paula’s Choice, that resulted in really bad pimples. I got this product and started applying every night and the redness went down super fast and I’ve never had post inflammatory pigmentation go away so fast after.

Usually it takes weeks for them to lighten up after redness goes down, but for me it’s only been a week so far. Every day I can see it getting lighter and lighter. My older brown marks are noticeably lightening up, too, but not at a crazy speed which makes sense since they’ve been there for months aka stubborn marks.

It’s more progress than I’ve seen with three months of hydroquinone though, and not as bad for the skin. I will be buying this again and again. Protocol: Evening shower, cleanse, tone, BHA exfoliant, this serum, moisturizer, then benzoyl peroxide a few hours later before bed.

This doesn’t have super high Vit C so you could pair a Vit C cream for the morning for max brightening effect. This product is great for the cost. The Paula’s equivalent was like $40.

I think this is a great product ! I’ve been using it for a few months now just at night, sometimes one night after the other or when I want to use other actives like BHA or retinol I’d use it every second night.

I have stubborn pigmentation most likely from sun exposure in my teens but I think that this product is slowly helping them fade ! I will definitely repurchase because I do love how my skin is doing.

This is a great serum – it has a thin (slightly thicker than water) texture and no discernible smell. It’s very easy to slot into a routine; I’ve used it in the evening underneath a moisturiser, followed by prescription tretinoin, as well as in the morning alongside an antioxidant serum.

I can’t speak to the long-term results on hyperpigmentation, because what I mostly deal with is post-inflammatory erythema (which apparently isn’t targeted by tranexamic acid), but what I found quite remarkable about this serum is how overnight it took down the inflammation in my active acne a TONNE.

For this reason, it’s been a valuable addition to my routine, more of a rescue serum for the days when I had a lot of tretinoin skin purging. My skin is a lot calmer now so I only use it once in a while if something quite inflammatory surfaces, but I’ll make sure to keep a bottle in supply for times like those.

I have acne prone skin so I ALWAYS do my research on any product I intend to try. All of the ingredients in this did not come up comedogenic in any of my research. Comedogenic means most likely to clog pores in acne prone skin types.

Most ingredients on comedogenic lists break me out. Like coconut oil, cocoa butter, sodium chloride, etc. So I was really surprised that this caused my face to break out! After 3 days of use, I noticed a few small white heads on my forehead, chin and cheek.

I have been searching for a good Vitamin C Serum and I finally found the right one! I struggle with sensitive acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation and this product fits perfectly with my skin needs.

Not for dry skin and not for those with a sensitive mouth/lip area. I did the allergy test: applied to neck and waited two days to see if I had a reaction. After two days, no reaction, so I applied it to my face and neck after cleansing.

At first, the application left my face a bit irritated and my skin was the tiniest bit flushed, but that went away quickly. For most of the day I didn’t notice it was there. Then by nightfall the skin around my chin and mouth was peeling and I could feel my that my lips were about to breakout (cold sores).

I have sensitive lips and have to be very selective for products used around my lips. I didn’t apply this product to my lips, of course, but I think it was close enough to cause a reaction. I’d not recommend this product for those with similar issues.

This is a new upgrade to the popular Vit C serum from Goodal in a lovely and slightly bigger sized glass-like shaped bottle! Feels more luxurious. If you enjoyed the original, you’ll definitely fall in love with this again.

The texture of the serum feels similar to the original when applied but more moisturising. I can definitely see the improvement in my dark spots fading quicker and making my skin brighter with the “x2 brightening ingredients” compared to the original version.

I can’t use this product at all on my face or I wake up the next day with tiny bumps literally covering every cm of skin on my face. It’s awful. For the price, I’m super bummed. Total waste & I had really high hopes for these products as someone who is super conscious of ingredients.

Save your money. Avalon organics vitamin C moisturizer is way better, doesn’t break me out & less than half the price.

I was gifted by Farmacy Beauty the ” 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum” in exchange for a review. Thank you at Farmacy Beauty for giving me a chance to try this item. This is a waterless vitamin C serum that visibly brightens and reduces hyperpigmentation on the skin.

This allows the serum to be more shelf stable and reduce the chance of oxidation. The packaging of the product also plays part of this, with Farmacy using an airless pump for the product. The serum also contains 1% of alpha Arbutin to help brighten skin tone and Ferulic Acid to enhance the efficacy of the Vitamin C and helping reduce hyperpigmentation.

The serum is oil-free, synthetic fragrance free, paraben free, phthalate free, and cruelty free which is great. There is a faint hot dog water scent which is very common in vitamin c serums but it doesn’t linger and doesn’t bother me.

The serum is clear and easily spreads and absorbs into the skin. I use two small pumps during the day followed by an appropriate amount of SPF. Because the serum is only 10%, I have not experienced much irritation even though I use tretinoin.

I do try to keep my use to about twice a week as anything more than that will cause my skin to start peeling. If this is your only active, you can probably use it everyday. So far, I am really loving this serum and all it’s doing for my skin while reducing the amount of irritation I usually experience while using vitamin C products.

There are no ingredients listed on CW website. But I see Advanced Brightening Vitamin C ‘concentrated serum’. That is so misleading! I bought two bottles thinking it’s just Vitamin C. The ‘serum’ feels good and smells so good but I am feeling suspicious because Vitamin C doesn’t smell.

Upon searching up the ingredients on the box, it’s loaded with stuff including parfum! I am really disappointed putting all these stuff on my face and I bought two bottles. Vitamin C is only 5% and loaded with strange chemical names.

I have been purchasing this serum for over a year now and unlike other low budget vitamin C products I’ve tried, this one is hands down the best one I’ve come across. It helps to fade away the hyperpigmentation left by my monthly breakouts and has brightened my complexion overall.

I have visible hyper-pigmented smile lines as well, and I’ve noticed that whenever I use this serum, it is barely noticeable. One downside of this product is that it runs out fairly quickly, and maybe it oxidises too over time, however, that hasn’t been a major problem for me to stop using it.

I was skeptical at first using this product, I apply the serum on my clean face & neck (day & night). This serum makes a huge difference to my skin feeling hydrated, nourished and my skin feeling glowing.

I have been using this serum for 4 weeks now and very happy with the result. Will definitely buy another one for a back up. Iam asian and in my mid 40 feeling even younger. Great buy and worth the money.
