20 Best Vehicle For Family Of 4 With 2 Dogs (2023 Updated)

My girls are SUPER into this toy! My kiddos are typically more crafty or interested in hands on activities versus toys. But Bluey really ignites their imagination and when this toy went on sale I just had to give it a try.

It’s very sturdy and solid, the mechanics on it are so satisfying to work with. The whole Heelet fam can fit in the car and the possibilities of driving it on different terrains are endless. A must for Bluey enthusiasts!.

Cute and fun toy. My three-year-old enjoys playing with it, and it keeps him engaged for quite a while. I will be purchasing more of the characters and other vehicles to add to his toys. My only issue is the Bluey character will not stay put while in the car, but I will admit that I have not put much time and effort into seeing if he will stay if I put his hands on the wheel or add other characters in the vehicle.

2 year old loves this toy! The only complaint we have is she gets frustrated putting the figures in the car. Because of how their tails are positioned, it’s very difficult to get the characters “sitting” in the seats – even with the holes in the seats specifically for tails.

If you have a child that is easily frustrated, this toy might not be for him/her.

Unpacking this crate was not fun. The crate is packed with one piece of styro on only one side of the box for some reason, so it’s not really enough to adequately protect the goods but is enough to make a big styrofoam mess in your home when unpacking.

Several of the pieces of the crate were tangled and hooked together, so we had to spend some time figuring out to untangle the pieces, which included bending some wires. The crate didn’t arrive in the best condition either as one of the hooks snapped off completely and others were bent and needed to be bent back, while a few other pieces were just bent/curved, likely from something sitting on this box in the warehouse and/or shipping.

It’s definitely not rocket science putting this together, but the instructions could be better and for the money, you’d hope they could color code some pieces or put some markings on the pieces to make it a bit easier to understand.

Regardless, once we got this assembled, it seems quite sturdy (even with the missing and bent pieces) and it’s huge. It could even have fit my 182 lb dog fairly nicely for a short time. I’m not thrilled with this experience, but there aren’t a ton of choices for a 150 lb dog and I do think this will work, certainly until the puppy is decently trained.

Chewy. com, as always, was excellent in providing a speedy delivery as promised. The crate appears to be very sturdy, the wire gauge is thicker than most. I am giving this crate a 4 star rating instead of 5 because there are a couple of defects in the manufacturing of this product.

Where the top part of the kennel attaches to the end there is a bow which can not be bent or adjusted to fix it. The length of the panel itself is the problem. The other defect is related to the entry door on the long side of the kennel.

The door does not close tightly to the kennel structure. There is some play where there should not be. The bottom latch has a bend in the wire which if adjusted would negatively impact the ability to latch the door.

All in all I think it is excellent as far as sturdiness. At this time it will serve it’s purpose and keep the pup contained. I am a little disappointed it wasn’t perfect as this product is supposed to be top of the line.

This crate is SERIOUS. It is extremely heavy, which is bad for moving, great for NOT moving. As a 65 year old farm woman, the crate box was almost too heavy to lift. But, I got it into place, slid it out of the carton, and needed NO directions to set up as it basically fell into place.

Finished beautifully, LOVE the two doors-it now hugs the wall instead of being projected out into the room (single door). I feed inside the crate, and the second door (on the longside) makes access so easy.

The only trouble was that one clip did not line up but a hammer fixed that in a jiffy. This is the final size crate, and worth the splurge in going up in sturdiness. It is NOT portable, but just perfect for home use, and for the hefty puppy.

My pup instantly took to it.

I have a SAR K-9 (HRD) and we drive to training and call-outs. This means more road time than people usually have with their beloved animals. I wear a seat belt for my safety in the event of a crash, and I wanted protection for my dog too.

I hope and pray it never gets tested in a personal crash, but with the manufacturer testing done on this kennel I feel better about having my family pet and working K-9 in the back of my SUV. This is built sturdy and has very good safety features.

It went together fairly easily (follow the instructions). Another item that I like is that the construction is such that it gets good air flow to my dog. There are times when she is in the kennel waiting her turn in hot and humid weather.

I hang fans on this so they blow in on her and add a porous shade “tarp” to reflect heat away and add shade, but having good air flow through the kennel is very important so that the dog does not overheat.

I did some research on the Variocage dog crate. I recall they crash tested it for all 3 types of crashes. It showed several of the straps breaking, and I thought that was a bad sign. But according to info from a video posted below, the straps are only designed to keep the crate oriented in the rear of your car prior to the collision, after that the straps can break, but the crate is designed to protect effectively.

The angled part of the crate abutting the rear seat disperses the force of a rear end collision over the largest surface as opposed to a square regular crate which contacts the rear seat at the point of its corner.

The corners of the crate where the dog doors are (I bought a 2 dog medium crate) are blunted- that is to conform to the crumple zone of the back of your car in case of rollover- thus creating its own crumple zone.

Lastly the telescoping bars allow force to be absorbed, but still protect your dog inside. The Swedish designers have outdone themselves, The cost is around $1,100 but you get what you invest in. If your goal is to get one of the safest crates for your dog, Variocrate ranks among the top 3 in my research.

I picked it over the other choices because it fit into the rear of my vehicle the best. Very satisfied with the product and am confident my dogs have good protection while on the road with me. Here is the video I mentioned: https://www.

The kennel is great. Easy to assemble and I love that it is adjustable. However…. Many of the pieces were bent or scratched. Packaging needs an upgrade. I would give it 5 stars if I hadn’t had to straighten many of the corners before we could assemble it.

My 1-year old loves these cars. Great characters and bright colors. I’m happy for some softer, quieter car options. This gift hopefully will be exciting long term, especially when the kid learns how to pull the cars back to make them go!.

I received the Bluey Heeler 4WD Family Vehicle for my 4-year-old daughter. She loves the Bluey series and watches it a lot so she was excited to get this little set. The Bluey Heeler 4WD Family Vehicle comes with one bandit figure, the vehicle, two surfboards, roof rack and sticker sheet.

I like how the surfboards are compatible with all of the Bluey figures and sits perfectly on the roof rack. The car is well-made and the roof opens up so you can put four figurines inside. My daughter has also had fun decorating her car with the included sticker sheet.

Our dog loves this dog seat! We’re in the car quite a bit including a regular 21 hour drive to see family every month or two. She’s so comfortable in this carrier — she can see everything; stays near us and can snuggle up to the edges for a nap without falling out.

We put her in the seat the day we picked her up at 8 weeks old and less than 3 pounds. She’s now a year old and weights 10 pounds. We just bought a second one for another vehicle. It does slide a bit, but it just means we straighten it up every now and then — no problems or concerns at all.

Things I do NOT like about the console seat: – Straps do not tightly secure the seat to the console. It slides around and slips back at will. – The strap to keep the dog safely secured in the seat should be moved farther to the back of the seat floor and not so close to the middle.

Its current position makes it difficult for the dog to lie or sit down. Things that are OK: – Having a seat on the console makes having the dog up high so he can easily see out and I can have him close to me at all times.

– The seat has soft surrounding sides that allow him to rest his head and/or his front legs when he wants to visit with me.

Chewy had the best price on this snoozer. Tried a knock off from online store and it lacked structure to keep my pup comfy and secure. Minus one star because I had to cut one of the straps and hand stitch (which was difficult with the thick strap fabric).

It was the strap that goes under the flip up part of the console. You can slide the strap to shorten but even shortening as much as it would there was still over a foot excess. Can’t imagine a console this would fit expect maybe a pick up truck.

We have 3 BIG dogs and it’s big jump up into the back (and sides) of our SUV. It’s not good on their joints to be jumping from such a high vehicle and on more than one occasion a couple of them have fallen backwards while tying to jump INTO the vehicle and hit their heads on the pavement because I was unable to catch them.

This breed is susceptible to hip dysplasia and 2 of our dogs compete in Dog Agility so we try to put as little stress on their hips as possible. This step is easy to use and rotates out of the way easily and smoothly when not in use.

Our dogs all immediately understood how to use it – no training required. Installed in a few minutes. A lady who saw us at an Agility Trial using this step just loved it and was going to purchase one as well (she had been hauling around a ramp to get her dogs in and out of her SUV).

I have 2 x 45kg Bernese Mountain Dogs. They are 8 1/2 and 10 1/2 years old and although they have always enthusiastically jumped up into our Audi Q5 SUV, at their age I prefer them not to jump. This step was easy to install and easy to use and twist back under the car when not in use.

It is sturdy and stable and doesnt wobble to frighten my dogs when they step up or down on it. I have also used it to reach the door of the car when cleaning it. I have always wanted one of these as I find the dog ramps big, bulky and heavy and a pain to store in the car.

I wish Id bought this years ago. It arrived quickly and in good condition – thumbs up!!!!.

This definitely feels high quality for a pet step, does what it’s supposed to do and is much easier than carrying a ramp around for our newfy. It is a little loose in the receiver hitch but nothing that effects use.

Definitely a good purchase, just costly.

First of all, the poor quality of these cages is NOT Chewy’s fault. These cages used to be durable and built sturdy. Not anymore. MidWest iCrate must have changed manufacturers to increase their profit margin.

Unwise, if so. The super deal on two should have tipped me off but I trusted their name as I have used their cages for almost 14 years as a professional Dog Behaviorist & Trainer. The cages I received are very flimsy and have to be zip tied to prevent collapse if you should, lord forbid, lean on one.

The cage floors are simply the WORST. Thin, cheap, they even arrived looking slightly warped, and crack very, very easy. I bought 4 cages. One even arrived with a cracked cage floor and Chewy saw to it that I received an entire new cage, no charge.

Chewy is the BEST. Unfortunately iCrate MidWest is letting both Chewy and its customers miserably down with these new cheap version cages. All of the cage floors have now cracked after their first canine occupants used them and the dogs were not abusing them or acting out in them at all.

I had to buy several rolls of gorilla tape to salvage the cage floors. I carefully and tediously criss-cross taped the entire span of each floor, front and back so no further cracks will happen but I just think that’s pretty lousy that I had to do such a thing.

iCrate MidWest, what in the world???.

Fabulous crate, easy to build and very spacious for my two miniature schnauzers, could easily fit two more in it alongside them (the teenage boy got in with them 🤣). I was initially shocked at the size of it when I went to collect it, no way would it fit in my Ford Focus.

Fortunately it was purchased to go in a Ford transit custom to keep the woofers safe and comfortable when driving on long journeys. It really is a great price for such a huge crate, the dogs are very pleased with it.

In this advert it states that the crate has handy compartments in the top for storing stuff. This is not the case. The compartments were only pn the previous model. False advertising Crate is lovely

Pets at home’s description states that it would fit most average sized cars but believe me it wont. Its massive and my Seat Leon estate wouldn’t entertain it. The Ferplast web site actually states it is designed for a 4 * 4.

Returning was a breeze and I ordered the Atlas 100 in place. Fits perfectly and my 2 springers are quite happy in it.

This installed very easily considering it was the first time. I am happy with the quality and fit to my 2500HD GMC Crew Cab. The middle area between the seats has a Velcro removable flap which I like.

This will allow our small dogs access to the front without leaping. Now they can just step over. Just what I expected.

I have a Great Dane and a regular hammock for the back seat of my pick up wasn’t enough. He kept falling down, now with the bridge, it acts as one one seat. If you gave a large breed dog, I highly recommend this Bridge and also recommend Frontpet.

They pair ok but the sound quality is really poor. Can say that there is no low end so the bass is missing. Otherwise it sounds like listening inside a bucket. But hey, what can you expect with this price.

My advice is to get Better ones and put some more money.

Great toy, we are having hours of fun. Going lots of places with our imagination. We love it.

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson to drive my family of wooden dolls around from their doll house. Even with his heavy handed door opening and closing and rally style driving ability 😉 the feedback from the mummy and daddy doll is that it is a smooth journey and they feel extra safe with the strong sturdy timber design and are very confident to put there children in the back seat.

My lo is getting more and more into small world play, so I bought this to go with her people. I love that the doors open and there\’s enough room to sit the figures down comfortably. It is a lovely size, and my lo loves to push it around, take the people in and out.

It is also good to put in the changing bag as it\’s quite light.

This car is very nicely made, we enjoy Hape and have many toys from this brand as they’re definitely a step up from M&D and we try to stay away from plastic as much as possible

I have a 2015 Subaru Outback and was looking for a crate to fit in the back without needing to push the back seats down. This fit PERFECTLY in my car. For reference, I have a 42 lb lab mix and he is able to fit snug, but comfortably in the crate.

I have noticed some rattling with the door when driving, but nothing crazy. Overall, very satisfied with the kennel!.

I bought this primarily for a dog that can chew out of anything. We have 2 of those crazy chewers: wire crates broke the wires, plastic crates chewed out and climbed out the side. Bought one of those steel bar crates ( from somewhere else )and while there are teeth marks on the bars you can’t use that beast of a thing in a car.

With rainy season upon us and hurricane season never far away we need a safe place in the house for them. Happy with this one now going to buy another, the larger one. Have to commend the design team these mouthy dogs can’t get their mouths on to the vent holes to chew.

Only thing I see in a month of having this is some scrape marks inside where one of them tried to chew. Didn’t work ! Humans ONE Dogs ZERO Ha ! Seriously they seem to like this crate and for me it is a breeze to clean out with a hose.

Important thing when I have to go somewhere I know I will come home to safe animals that are exactly where I left them.

I have a 2016 Honda CRV. I purchased 2 of the large crates. They fit the back of my SUV really well. I love the door because of the hinges are on both sides so it doesn’t matter what side you want it to swing open on.

The only thing I don’t like is the air flow is limited for the summer. So I turned the crate around (facing the front window) to getting better air flow. It doesn’t seem to matter to my dog to jump in the back door instead of the hatch.

Love the kennel, quality construction!.

I’ve bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas, she hasn’t opened it yet but I know from experience that playmobil is a good quality product.

I searched the Internet for toy cars for my daughter that were real wood. I should have known to check Bella Luna first. These cars the perfect size for my daughter’s little hands. They’re beautifully carved from wood and you can tell the wheels are affixed with quality and care.

We like to race them down her rocker board (Also purchased from Bella Luna) and let them jump in the air. They stand up to the use!.

Awesome product! These wooden cars are well made and fun to play with. They are the perfect size for small hands to manipulate and examen how those fast spinning wheels work. The cars go easily across a smooth surface with a child’s touch.

Our grandson loves playing with them.

Beautiful quality little cars. They’re a lot smaller than I expected and totally missed the “not for under 3” notice. I won’t be returning these because I do love them, they’ll just have to wait to be played with until my son hits the appropriate age.

The car is really well made. You can choose what side the steering weel goes. The two coffee cups are original and having the pushchair that doubles and a car seat is great. We have also had the blue 7 seater car for a couple of years and the doors have become fragile.

Knowing that the doors dont open in this car i see as a benefit. The car details are amazing from the petrol tank lid that opens to the boot big enough for some shopping. Many hours of fun are already being had , this is a great addition to our little ones extensive sylvanian family world.

Purchased for a small girl’s growing Sylvanian Family collection. It’s well constructed and relatively easy for small fingers to use. However, some of the Sylvanian Family product ranges don’t fit easily in the vehicle, resulting in frustration on the part of the user.

It would have been helpful to know that it’s not universally applicable to all the figures in the same range. However, it is a good quality product providing considerable enjoyment to the owner and, consequently, good value.

My 5 year old daughter was so pleased with her birthday present and loved playing with the car and little pram. She will sit and play for hours with her sylvanian families, great for their imaginations.

This was also the best price around.
