Best Valentines Books For Toddlers (2024 Updated)

We love “Little Blue Truck” in our house, and have every book in the collection. I have hesitated buying this one because of reviews that show a “floating cow head” on one of the pages. I finally bit the bullet, deciding that I could use the mistake as a lesson in how everyone makes mistakes.

I am SO GLAD I bought this book. Not only is it a super cute story and one that every “Little Blue Truck” lover should have in their collection, but the illustration has since been updated and our copy does NOT have the extra cow head in it.

If you are like me and have been putting it off because of the illustration mistake, I say go for it and if you happen to get a copy with the mistake, try again with a replacement! Don’t let it stop you :).

We love this book. My 2yo son chooses it pretty often because he loves Little Blue Truck. There is a misprint on a picture, however. On the page that folds out, there’s a floating cow’s head mixed in with the animals.

My son hasn’t noticed it yet. I’ve read reviews that say that misprint was fixed, so I was hoping when I ordered this online that we’d get the fixed one, but we didn’t.

Needed these books for the holiday and actually both came damaged. I was pretty shocked to see hard covers smashed. returned the worst one but needed to keep the least damaged one for grandson’s Valentines Day gift.

So disappointed but a thin bubble bag was not the way to go!! Actually the bag is torn through on the worst damaged end. First time I got hard books damaged.

The story is short and simple . It’s cute but not as cute as the original . Of note, mine came damaged .

Got this for my great niece, and it was so cute, ordered a second one for my grandson ❤️Both for Valentine’s Day!

I purchased this book for my four month old grandchild. Well done for small children-colorful, few words, but one page had a sticky heart. I had to cut a heart and fill into the heart shape to keep it from sticking to the next page.

Not the best texture choice. All the other textures were great.

Most of the pages had good touch and feel pictures. The pages we’re very colorful and eye catching. I got this for my new grand baby who will be able to have the book read to him now and later will have fun touching and feeling the pages with pictures.

A win win.

Love this book! Fairly priced and the last page is of a sticky texture and my toddler LOVES IT! it comes with wax paper to protect it for long term use but its rare to see that texture in “feel” books!.

I included “Peppa’s Valentine’s Day” in my 4-year-old granddaughter’s early Valentine gift bag along with a heart-shaped cookie, candies, stickers and drawing pens. Her expression of glee and excitement when she held up this cute book was precious! Her words of excitement…“I love Peppa Pig! Grandma, can you read it to me now?” She was so interested in Peppa’s party preparations, and told me about the valentines she was making for her preschool friends.

Her smile and, “Read it again” request made for an early Happy Valentine’s celebration.

Our granddaughter loves Peppa Pig so this was just the book to accompany some Valentine’s Day chocolate! She loved it…. just as much as the chocolate! lol

The other items shipped with this book were undamaged, but this book itself was wrinkly and looks like had some serious water damage. Will be returning this to the store. Very disappointing. The book itself would’ve been lovely if it was in a good condition!.

Perfect Valentine’s Day gift from mom. Our son loves Elmo and the book is about Elmo trying to find out who wrote him a valentine and it turns out it, it was his mom! Elmo is a soft fuzzy material on each page.

Our toddler will love this!.

My granddaughter loved the book. Carried it around and wanted it read over and over again. Of course it helps that she was aware of who Elmo is.

My 6 month old grandson loved this with all the red colors he was very aware of the book

This is a cute book for Valentine’s Day! My daughter is 1. 5 and loves the Llama Llama books. This one has a cute rhyme through out the book, it’s short and simple but perfect for her age! Highly recommend this book!.

Short story, but very cute and sweet for baby’s first Valentine’s Day. I like that it’s hard pages instead of paper.

I buy these for my 2 year old because she absolutely loves Llama Llama but she’s not getting it till valentines day with her other goodies in her basket. I cant wait to read it to her!

#sweepstakes Very cute book of vintage valentine cards. Comes with envelopes as well that you cut out and fold to make the envelope. I wouldn’t recommend mailing the envelopes, as there just a paper and wouldn’t hold up.

But very cute to hand to your love one.

It’s a very cute little book of 1950s-style kids’ Valentines. I left it intact and used the book as decor.

I ordered these Valentines for my mother as she is an avid collector of anything vintage! They certainly are cuter than the tacky ones you find at Wal-mart, lol! She loved these Valentines. They came very well packaged and I was very satisfied with the purchase.

There is nothing negative I can say about this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is a beautiful book. Really heartwarming and sweet. The sentiments within are perfect for a younger child and older children alike to relate to and the illustrations are nice. I read this to my 2 year old son at bedtime and he loves it as it rhymes and he also knows that mummy is directing the words towards him too.

I hope to continue with this one for a long time to come.

This book is so sweet. My daughter and I read it every night before bed. A lot of kids books can get super annoying after repeated reads, but this one doesn’t bother me. I have the words memorized and I still enjoy it.

I thought this book was super cute for a Valentine’s story. I’ve always loved Little Critter ever since I was little and I’m happy to finally pass that onto my kids. Every page has that little flip open page on the side which my daughter gets so excited to turn every time.

However, I really wish it was a little longer. I think it’s a little too short, they could have been a little more creative.

I love this book. It definitely brings back childhood memories that I can now pass on to my kids. Cute book. The paper is good quality. Definitely worth the price.

Bought this book for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. It’s so sweet 🥰 I especially love the addition of flaps to open on each page! I would recommend this book.

We bought a copy for ourselves and one for our one year old granddaughter so we can read it together on Face Time. Fun crazy rhymes. Its a study board book.

I purchased this book for my grandson. It is a book my children grew up with. I was disappointed that it didnt have the option to purchase the music that came with the older version. Ill just have to sing it instead.

This book is brilliant as it sings a melody of counting and rhyming that will teach your child through memorization. The story and illustrations are perfect for nap or bedtime. I still remember most of it all these years later.

I so highly recommend this book that I read to my children almost everyday for so many years.

Purchased for 6yr old grandson’s birthday. Have been reading the stories and find to my delight how uncontrived the applications are – real life, real fun and realistic life lessons. He will love this.

This is a great collection of real life stories for kids to read and they reveal God’s truth and promises in every day life situations that they can relate to their own life. My children are grown adults but I am going to give this book to my grandkids.

There’s no question that this children’s classic is beautifully written, so I’ll talk about our experience with and appreciation for it. We allowed our 2 1/2 yr old Great-granddaughter to open the mailing package and the box holding the book and bunny.

Both are a perfect size for her little hands. The hardboard book is going to hold up through countless reads, and the bunny fits right in the curve of her neck as we cuddle and read. This child rarely sits still and has a difficult time calming down to fall asleep, but the first time she climbed up in my lap to read Goodnight Moon, she was captivated by the calming words and pictures.

When we reached the end, she said, “Do it again. ” Gladly! Half way through our second reading, her breathing was deep and regular. she was asleep! Goodnight Moon is a peaceful little story that takes place in “the great green room,” which is filled with lovely details for young minds to enjoy seeing over and over.

Every time we begin the book, I read “Goodnight Moon, by Margaret Wise Brown. ” She’s a genius. she deserves the credit. HA!.

This is hands down one of my kids’ favorite books. Our first one was so loved I have to get a replacement. They’ve even memorized the rhyme. Also, there’s a little mouse hidden on each of the colored pictures that shows the room.

My older kids love looking for the mouse. Highly recommend and will always keep a copy in my house.

What a surprise! This hardcover book is absolutely beautifully decorated and colorized. Lots of clever popups. It’s a really cool book! I just LOVE it!! I bought it for my 3 year old nephew to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

I’m a huge fan of Curious George products as that’s my husband’s first name; so I’m always in search of CG products and especially love gifting them to all our nieces and nephews. The picture online didn’t do this book justice.

It has a nice weight to it, not flimsy. It’s all sweet innocent little Valentine’s antidotes. You feel proud to give a special gift like this to a child. They will not only enjoy it, read it over and over, but treasure for years to come.

This is such a poorly written story. There isn’t even a storyline. The twins come over, trash the bowtique, aren’t made to clean up, and then Mickey shows up with flowers for Minnie. The End Pretty much overpaid for a sheet of stickers.

Perfect book for a Minnie Mouse fan. The sparkly stickers are a lovely bonus. Printed in the USA.

My 3 year old grandson loved this book as well as the stuffed animal of Dougie that spun around the when activated. He gets to read 3 books before bed each night and this book always has to be the first while watching Dougie spin around the room! I went to three different stores before I was able to get this book!.

Great book to keep the crayon’s adventure going. It is on the small side (the actual book and story). Each page states “love is. ” then a color with a sentence why. It is a quick read. Better for younger children.

It is good to see how love comes in different forms depending the color.

Not a great book, but it’s ok. My four year old likes it enough not to return it but she never wants to ready it unless we read it with “the day the crayons quit”. you definitely need that book if you don’t have it.

We love the entire Crayons series. This was a very cute story about love through the lens of color.
