Best Vacuums For Thick Carpet (2026 Updated)

Hands down this is the BEST and ONLY Vacuum Cleaner you will ever need to buy. It is the lightest weight of any Vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. It 9s an absolute must to purchase for people who have had neck and back surgeries or any type of Orthopedic issues.

An absolute must for independent elderly people who take pride in their homes and enjoy vacuuming daily. I could literally work this Vacuum with using two fingers and it is a breeze to Vacuum stairs.

My British Shorthair cat Teddy Bear weighs more than this Vacuum cleaner. The suction is amazing and it picks up Persian Type Cat hair with one simple pass. It comes with hospital grade HEPA filtration and a light air freshener pods.

My only complaint is that we don’t have several air freshener choices. I have been spoiled with the wonderful Febreeze air freshener Vacuum accessories and would love for Soniclean to allow Febreeze to create one for the SFC-7000.

This Vacuum cleaner is worth every penny and I promise you won’t be disappointed. If you like barely there scents you may enjoy the air freshener that comes with the Vacuum but personally I couldn’t really smell it because it was way too light for me.

I enjoy the stronger scent of Febreeze, but make no mistake, that was my one and only complaint. Do yourself a favor and by this Vacuum and you will be vacuuming your house in half the time and with the greatest of ease.

I haven’t owned this vacuum very long, and will update my review if my first impressions change. I purchased Mohawk Smart Strand carpet for my whole house because I was impressed with the warranty and tech specs.

The carpet store I purchased through didn’t really talk about vacuuming except to say that my old vacuum cleaner may not roll across this softer carpet. Well my Panasonic did seem to work just fine. However, when I went to Mohawk’s website to get all the specifics of their 25 year warranty, I discovered some surprises regarding how to care for this style of carpet fiber.

They want you to have the carpet cleaned by a certain type of cleaning company (certified) and save all your receipts! Plus after reading their specifics about vacuuming, I questioned whether using my Panasonic was a good idea – the bristles on the rotating brush are very stiff, almost as stiff as a grout cleaning brush I use.

So I called Mohawk customer service to discuss. They were helpful and sent me a list of approved vacuums for Smart Strand carpet fiber. At first I felt miffed at the thought of spending more money when I have a perfectly good vacuum, but then I thought about the investment I have made in purchasing this carpet (over $12,000).

So spending $379 to protect this investment seems like the smart thing to do. I do prefer a bag over the bagless vacuums (which I have found to be filthy), so this Soniclean is a plus. It is very light (I believe 10 pounds vs my 35 pound Panasonic).

Very few features and No attachments is a negative. So, I use the Soniclean only on the Mohawk carpet, and my old vacuum for everything else. The Soniclean is LOUD. I wear ear plugs and that solves the problem.

It rolls nicely over the carpet and adjusting the vents is not an issue. I have the vents on the middle opening for plush carpet, and adjust to wide open to vacuum the “shag” carpet. It works. The cord is long.

I have not experienced any negative issues with the operation of the Soniclean.

We had new soft carpet by Karistan installed in our bedrooms. This vacuum is the one that is recommended by the manufacturer and it’s use doesn’t void the carpet warranty. I was not expecting to purchase a new vacuum as my Dyson is perfectly fine but with soft carpets, you need a special vacuum.

This is a good machine but for the price that you pay, I wish it came with attachments. It is very hard getting into corners with it. The machine is also very loud. So far, I am happy with the purchase.

This vacuum is extremely heavy. It took both my hands to swivel right to left. I can only vacuum for ten minutes at a time because of how heavy this vacuum is and it took all my force to swivel right to left.

A vacuum should not be this hard to use. I’m only 33 years old and am exhausted after only ten minutes of using it. They need lighter vacuums, and bigger dust cups. My old shark swiveled way easier to, so they need to go back to the old parts for easier swiveling.

Plus I’m right handed, which is another big issue. The cord is on the right side of the vacuum and I’m right handed. I use my right hand and right leg to move the vacuum back and fourth, so the cord is constantly under my feet tripping me.

They need more vacuums with the cord on the “left side” for us right handed people. Also why are they using really shiny plastic on the vacuum and hand tools. Everything looks horrible after a couple uses, its all scratched up badly.

They use to use a better, stronger plastic that was not shiny! I wish they would let me build them a perfect vacuum lol! I don’t know who’s all designing them, but they’re doing a bad job. A vacuum should be built good and easy to use.

The last four I purchased, I had to return. Either the shiny plastic came out of the box all scratched up and looking cheap. Or the cords on the right side, which was the majority of them. Or the dust cup is so small, I would’ve had to dump it every 10 minutes.

Or the vacuum is so heavy, I could barely push it and the swiveling is very hard to use. And one of them wouldn’t suck up dirt in reverse. One more thing to add, the hose should be on the right side, for us right handed people, not the left side.

I’m really hoping this post,so other people can find the right vacuum and not go through everything I went through.

This vacuum is really powerful, yet manages not to pull the rugs out of place and up the hose. I have several cats and a real hair and litter mess constantly. I can see litter in the path and it pulls ALL of it into the canister.

No bits pop across the floor and away like with other vacuums. This is a huge improvement over past engineering. It’s easy to maneuver. Some state it’s heavy, but I don’t have any problem with the weight.

With a vacuum this powerful, I don’t know how you’re going to have a light weight motor, so just think about this a minute. It’s about 17 lbs. I think it will be important to clean filters often so the motor doesn’t burn out.

This is what happened with my Shark Rocket, but it was completely my fault. I’m upgrading from an expensive well -known other brand and expect to be a Shark vac customer for life. I love the lift away feature too.

I *really like* this vacuum a LOT and would have given it 4. 5 stars if possible! It maneuvers nicely and has great suction in both the floor and carpet modes and it does not bind up, as promised. The cleaning wand with power head option is super! It’s is just a bit heavier than I would like and all the attachments don’t have a “place” on the unit.

I do empty out the canister often as I’ve got a furry one. A retractable cord would also be a helpful feature. Overall, a really great Shark product and a nice upgrade from the other one I own elsewhere.

Price, on sale from Best Buy, was right, too!!.

The Hoover Onepwr Blade plus 2 is a convenient and powerful cordless hand held vacuum cleaner that’s been designed to perform a number of tasks. The unit also has a couple of features that make life simpler.

Although not as powerful as my large roll-around, I can pick up the Hoover Onepwr off the convenient wall mounted storage unit and get to cleaning up instantly, especially between the big cleanups when i use my full sized unit.

The Hoover arrived with 2 batteries so that the Onepwr can be in use instantly, not having to drag out the plug-in unit, which is a great convenience, in between major cleanups. I had the provided storage rack up on the wall in minutes, it has storage for all the attachments as well as the vacuum itself.

The Onepwr comes with a crevice tool as well as a dust brush and upholstery brush which fit snugly to the hand held unit or onto the extension pole that allows you to stand upright as you are cleaning with the lighted, multi surface, spinning head floor nozzle and carpet beater.

The Hoover runs for just over one half hour, for each battery, giving over an hour of total cleaning time available continuously. A convenient charger is provided to keep your batteries always ready.

One feature that I really like is the ability to remove the dust canister to empty it, separating from the main unit so that you don’t have to try to awkwardly handle the entire unit while dumping the canister contents into the trash.

Again, a versatile and powerful unit that will quickly clean up almost any mess stylishly and easily.

The Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet vacuum really sucks! And I mean that in the best way possible. This vacuum cleaner has significantly better suction than our previous vacuum. I was able to fill it twice in a single bedroom and it hadn’t been that long since it was swept.

That may be the best feature of the WindTunnel, but it wasn’t my favorite feature. Upon unpacking it my wife and I were struck by how long the power cord is. Holy cow! Whoever designed this thing has clearly ran a vacuum cleaner and understands the misery of having to move the cord constantly.

Our home isn’t that large, but it isn’t tiny either. I was able to plug the Hoover WindTunnel in in my living room and sweep the entire house including the two bedrooms and family room that are upstairs.

Color me impressed. I was also fairly impressed with how well it handled hair. My pets are short haired and don’t shed that much, but my wife and two of my kids have long hair. It gets everywhere and tends to wind up really bad in the brush on vacuum cleaners.

I don’t know if it’s the design of the brush or the massive amount of suction, but I don’t have miles of hair wrapped around the brush, so that’s a plus. It wouldn’t be appropriate to only highlight the WindTunnel’s strengths, so I’d like to mention a few things I didn’t like.

First, about half of my house has hardwood floors, so we generally sweep a lot with the vacuum on the lowest height setting. I had the WindTunnel sitting on a small runner in my dining room while I was using the hose to suck up dust bunnies around the edge of the room and I heard an awful growling noise.

I looked over to notice that the WindTunnel was trying to eat the runner it was sitting on. That’s how I discovered that the brush never stops spinning. Every vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had turned the brush off when set to the lowest height.

Fortunately the WindTunnel has strong enough suction that it doesn’t fling stuff around, but I did find it strange. I have a really bad dust allergy and I was hoping that the WindTunnel High Performance Pet vacuum might be better than average at trapping allergens.

No luck, I was still completely miserable after running the vacuum. I’m not sure this is Hoover’s fault, but it’s worth mentioning. The last thing I want to mention is the various accessories that came with the WindTunnel.

Most vacuums come with some sort of brush-like attachment for the end of the hose. Hoover redesigned this tool to not have the brush stuff around the edges and instead it has these rubber veins, which I can only assume are meant to avoid hair tangling up in it.

My experience was that these rubber veins are too long and even with the powerful suction of the WindTunnel, I found this attachment to be mostly useless. There’s another attachment that has a small head with a roller that spins around.

I’m not impressed with it either. So both of the attachments that make this WindTunnel for “Pets” weren’t that useful. The long tapered attachment is pretty nice. It has a little groove in the end that I’m guessing is to keep the thing from sucking down too much on a surface, but I noticed it was awesome for cleaning the blades on our ceiling fans.

The little groove fits around the edge of the blade in just a way that you can suck up the dust without knocking down a bunch of dust bunnies. Overall I like the WindTunnel. Hoover knocked it out of the park with the super long power cord and that great suction.

The attachments are somewhat unimpressive and I don’t know how I feel about the brush running on the lowest setting.

I received this Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet Upright from BzzAgent for my honest review. This Hoover vacuum was extremely easy to put together. I will mention if you have long nails you may have issues with the power button, but once I figured it out I was able to turn it on with zero issues.

This vac offers a setting for hard floors to low to high carpet. This is a perfect feature for myself since I have vinyl plank flooring, rugs and carpet in my home. This vacuum did a beautiful job picking up dust and pet fur from my vinyl floors.

The real test however was when I used it on my carpets and rugs. Need I said holy suction it did not disappoint. I’ve been using my Shark upright but I noticed right away the significant difference in suction power in this Hoover WindTunnel.

No more having to use my pet lint hair roller multiple times before I vacuum. This Hoover WindTunnel did the job picking up hair, crumbs the kids dropped and all other debris. In comparison to the vacuum I have used I would say his Hoover performs exceptionally well.

I love that this pet Hoover WindTunnel includes the pet attachments for furniture. It’s easy to use for hard to reach areas such as ceiling and is great on stairs. I would absolutely purchase this Hoover WindTunnel Pet Upright for my home cleaning needs.

This is a vacuum that I would absolutely recommend to my family and friends. This would be a great vacuum for homes with pets and children.

Omg, I didn’t think it was possible but I am in LOVE with this vacuum cleaner. I’m the type of person who painstakingly researches all of my purchases before going through with them, and this vacuum was no exception.

The reviews were great but this vacuum surpassed my expectations. It is light enough to be able to vacuum comfortably but it packs some serious sucking power. I used to have an inexpensive handheld before I got my American Eskimo Dog, and it showed to be no match for his extreme shedding.

I was stressing out because a lot of models, even specifically pet ones, had many negative reviews about the hair getting caught and having to stop and remove it several times each vacuuming session.

This product has been amazing and I’ve never had a problem with anything, especially hair getting caught. I also have long hair (to approximately my mid-back) that winds up everywhere. Sometimes I wonder how I have any left on my head.

This vacuum picks everything up like a champ. I clean the roller after every session just to ensure there aren’t any problems but it really isn’t even necessary. I have a 650 square foot apartment with tile (kitchen and bathroom), laminate flooring everywhere else, and several area rugs (two of them are thick, shaggy ones that my dog loves to lounge on).

The True Pet motorized attachment cleans them like brand new in a matter of minutes. You’ll be amazed (and maybe horrified) at what it picks up from carpet/rugs. I empty the canister twice per session when I vacuum the whole apartment, which is great considering how much it picks up.

I can’t even begin to tell you how pleasant it is to do everything with this vacuum. Moving it, swapping out attachments, and even detaching the handheld top portion to use by itself is a dream. Everything glides in and out so smoothly.

I had to struggle with my previous vacuum to attach the various pieces which was really frustrating and led to chipped nails and an annoying experience. It also overheated several times during each session and would shut itself off, so I couldn’t clean the whole apartment with it at once.

This model never overheats or loses power. You don’t realize how much little things like that matter until you have something better.

First of all, I liked the Shark corded electric broom, its stability. It can be placed in an upright position, without it slipping or falling. I appreciated the double brush that manages to reach even the edges of the baseboard and the narrowest corners.

And I also liked the rubber edge of the brush so it doesn’t damage items if it accidentally bumps into it. The LED lights placed on the brush of the broom are also very useful to make the most microscopic dirt visible.

Convenient the system empties the dust container, without dirtying or having to shake the container to let the dust out. The noise level of the decibels is normal. But here’s what I would improve: certainly its weight and also the possibility of having a more compact and small floor brush to reach small spaces.

Even the plastic wheels, if they were replaced with rubber wheels to make less noise on the floor, would be the top. And finally, I would improve the suction force. In conclusion, I found so many good points about this vacuum cleaner that mine doesn’t have.

In fact, I use it in addition to mine, because this one from Shark is able to clean more where mine does not reach. It is equipped with an electric cable, guarantees an unlimited autonomy of the appliance.

In conclusion, it is a product that I really liked and still give 5 stars, because it is competitively priced on the market and really useful for removing animal hair effectively. I recommend this product if you are looking for a corded electric broom that cleans well and without too many pretensions.

Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights.

It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home.

The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris.

It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming.

So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.

We’ve been through four different vacuums in the last year for the new, longer/thicker carpeting we had installed and have struggled: A Dirt Devil. SO LOUD we returned it. A Shark that one could not push through the room no matter what and boy was that a LOUD machine, though highly rated.

A cordless, expensive Bissell, that was light and easy, but did not deep clean carpeting. Now we use that just on the hardwood floor. Finally we bought this because my inlaws have an old Oreck. This Oreck is clearly louder than theirs, has only one speed, works well enough, but still a bit hard to push through the thick carpet.

Has a good light on it. We’re satisfied enough to keep it.

Sigh. This is the third review that I have written to pan my current Oreck vacuum purchase. Apparently there was TMI in my previous posts. So, Oreck, in their intrepid task to be as transparent but protective of my PI as humanly possible, has not published those reviews and requested I revise.

Here you go: this vacuum is heavier than any of the other Orecks I have owned in recent years. It is not as efficient as other Orecks I have owned. It requires ALL NEW vacuum cleaner bags that will not fit my older Orecks.

Planned obsolescence? (Look it up). Perhaps. But, to reiterate: it’s not the solution to climate change, it’s just a vacuum cleaner.

Excellent vacuum! It has REALLY powerful suction, it’s easy to operate and very maneuverable, and the dirt hopper is very simple to empty. Most striking of all, it’s the sort of vacuum that you don’t think about after using it – only its results.

My carpets are wonderfully soft and floors clean and smooth after vacuuming, and all I think about is just how nice they are to walk on. Not the vacuum. I believe an appliance like this should perform its function so seamlessly that the results are more noticeable than the device itself.

This is precisely the case with this vacuum. It sits in the corner until it is needed, then it does a wonderful job, and I go on living my life with clean floors!The HEPA exhaust filter is a great touch.

You can literally see all of the dirt swirling around in there that would otherwise be blasted out into the air.

I’ve never bought a Kenmore brand vacuum before, only HooverBissellShark. I usually have to buy a new vacuum every year (big dogs who shed and a son who brings home all the dirt from the ball field with him every day), so I’ve owned quite a few to compare to.

So far, this vacuum out cleans them all. It’s a bit heavier than I am use to, but this vacuum is self propelled and I barely have to push it along, even on thick carpets. It does a really good job keeping dust and dirt sealed within the system.

There was a definite noticeable difference in air quality and my allergies weren’t as bad after using this vacuum. (Compared to previous Hoover and bissell vacuums).

With only limited use so far: I love this vacuum. It is self propelled when the brush is on, very powerful suction and great dust containment. The roller tends to wad up my throw rugs on the back pull, but will continue to look for a way to address that.

I would change: NEEDS more and better on board attachment holders. I have the crevice tool in the holder and it tends to fall off. Plus no way to carry/store the other great attachments. Love the long cord!.

I got this vacuum, it was a great deal no question there but beginning to believe good deals are not always good things. I hate the short cord, the design on how you twist it to take it apart to clean is very hard, very difficult and if you do it the wrong way very painful.

I don’t like the design at all. I am very tempted to return it to be quite honest with you but with COVID issues, things being hard to get, and of course everyone is over all the bull I am not sure I want to waste my time starting a return.

Do I think this will last for a while NO without a doubt in my mind this vacuum I don’t believe will hold up for my needs at all. I don’t have unrealistic needs, I have a special needs little one that is always on the floor and always will be on the floor no matter what age she is, so my floor needs to be always clean.

So I will always be vacuuming daily, sometimes maybe more than once a day just for her health and safety and I don’t believe this vacuum will be able to handle this at all. I wish I had not grabbed this deal and just got a different one.

There is not one thing different about this one that makes it stand out from the others at all. It was just the price that made you grab it, I think that is what Hoover played on with the sale. Everyone is out of work, been out of work, not everyone has a special needs child like myself but again everyone was looking for a deal and here it was.

So to be honest with you, don’t purchase this at all, you will wish you didn’t like I do now, its was not worth the sale price at all not for my needs and its not user friendly at all. I am very very very disappointed.

Had this same/similar one for the last several years and was pleased with it. Replaced with new model because the old one had a split in the corrugated tube and the handle cracked, which kept pinching my hand.

This new model no longer has the option to shut off the roller brush! When the vacuum is in the upright position, the old model would stop the roller. The new one just keeps digging into the carpet. Even with it on the highest floor setting, SHUT IT OFF if it isn’t being moved.

Otherwise, you will have a shredded look to your carpet where it was sitting, even for just 10 seconds. Also, the power button was moved from the convenient position on the handle to halfway down the back of the body, which is a real pain when having to shut it off periodically to move things around to clean.

Also, having the roller brush going when on hard floors usually just flings things around instead of getting them sucked up. VERY poor design to remove this option.

Zero stars if it was an option. Bought this some weeks back, used it a handful of times. Just realized when vacuuming the sofa, that in an upright position the brush never turned off. I didn’t realize it until it ate its own cord down to bare wires.

I called Hoover asking them if by design this thing was suppose to stop spinning or not. I was assured it is not suppose to be the case and I should try to return it to Target. I’m a bit of a pessimistic fella, so I was asking the woman at Hoover, that in the instance that Target can not find my receipt, how would I go about a warranty through Hoover.

She explained there are no options for that, and despite telling me the unit has a 2 year warranty, and also verifying the manufacturing date placing it to being built last year (meaning I’ve had it for well less than a year), all of that means nothing without a receipt.

I did reach out to target, and the woman was great and spent 15 minutes digging for my receipt. Now that it’s all settled and fixed, I sit down and notice this vacuum burned a patch in my carpet. I tried to brush it out, but the damage is done.

This vacuum cost me more than I paid for it. Don’t see an option to upload a photo, but I promise my carpet is ruined. Horrible experience, and I won’t ever touch a Hoover again.

I bought this vacuum because I have two high end vacuums and I’m tired of buying bags for them. I was a little nervous about this one because of a few bad reviews. This vacuum truly is self propelled.

It’s like holding a tiger by the tail on my carpets. I have thick carpets, thin carpets and hardwood floors and stairs in my house. The power fin attachment really vacuums the carpets on the stairs. This vacuum gets it all clean.

The plush rollers are amazing on the tiled floors. I’ve recently vacuumed up christmas tinsel and I’m happy to report that it’s not wrapped around the rollers! I have a dog and a cat and this vacuum is getting it all clean.

It’s heavier than my oreck but not as heavy as my miele. It’s still not a very heavy vacuum overall. When the vacuum arrived, I vacuumed my carpets first with my current vacuums and then with my new shark and the shark found more stuff to pick up on a second pass.

I was impressed. I like that I can detach the dust cup area to carry around when I’m doing stairs or using the wand attachment. Each time I vacuum, I can empty the dust cup and all the dirt goes away.

That said, the dust cup is just that and it looks dirty from the outside because it’s clear. Personally this is not a problem for me but I just figured I would mention it. I’ve read in reviews that this vacuum only goes so far under furniture and beds.

This is correct because of the dust cup size however, the power fin attachment can get under those areas aggressively. This will take a little effort and perhaps require getting down on the floor but it can be cleaned effectively.

I got this vacuum a month ago and I love it!. I’m getting rid of both of my other vacuums and saying goodbye to vacuum bags forever.

This is the newest vacuum in my lineup (I have both the Vertex upright and Vertex cordless and have had the Apex models in the past as well), and it fits right in. Shark has nailed it with the DuoClean and PowerFins design.

The two brushrolls work wonderful together and I have yet to see any hair tangles in any of the models I have (the prior Apex Zero-M would occasionally have some hair wrap). You can tell that this Rotator is built cheaper than the Vertex upright, but that leads to a reduction in weight which makes the Rotator a breeze to move around and carry around.

Lately I have been taking the Rotator with me to my cleaning jobs and I would say it cleans pretty close to the Vertex upright. I never really use the Powered Lift-Away feature on the Vertex upright and have only used the Lift-Away (non-powered) feature on this Rotator once.

The vacuum is light enough to move around without worrying to remove the pod and then you must make sure it is placed back on the floor nozzle correctly, that was a pain. The dust cup is sufficient for medium jobs, but needs to be emptied for larger jobs.

I love the HEPA filtration on all of the models that I have, it feels good to know that the air coming out of the vacuum is cleaner than the air that went in. I sometimes but the baking soda carpet deodorizers to help freshen the smell that comes out of the HEPA filter, and it lasts quite awhile and the box is only $1 at your local retailer.

If the Vertex upright is too heavy for you, try this Rotator, it cleans about just as well as the Vertex and it is much easier to maneuver. The floor nozzle really wants to “run away” from you, so be aware of that (I have seen this on all of their DuoClean models, it gives you an arm workout when vacuuming which I don’t mind but I can see how it could be bothersome to some).

The Rotator, and all of Shark’s vacuums are quite easy to assemble and the parts click together to ensure the proper connection. The cord is the same length as the Vertex and I can easily vacuum the majority of my home without moving the cord.

This model, like the Vertex, lacks the LED light on the hand nozzle (as was the case on the prior Apex model, please Shark bring that back!). I am very happy with this purchase and can’t wait to see what Shark will come out with next.

I’ve been using cordless vacuums for a few years and they come with their own set of problems. Basically, if you prefer corded, or are willing to sacrifice that for a super strong vacuum, you’ll be thrilled with this.

The suction power here is miles ahead of other corded vacuums and especially cordless ones. I have mostly hardwood floors, with some door mats that are carpeted and I found this did a fantastic job at picking up everything from cat hair, to stray wooden litter, to accidentally dropped craft supplies and food.

It will suck up everything, so make sure you lift toys and whatnot before using it! It does have some downsides, which I’ll discuss, but as well as offering stupendous suction power, the added Pet power brush is amazing at cleaning upholstery.

My tufted velvet sofa is notorious for being difficult to clean and so far the best option I’ve found is a roller. The Self Cleaning pet power brush attachment included is fantastic and even gets the stuff trapped in the tufts.

Which leads me to one of the negatives. The lightness of the vacuum is actually a double-edged sword. It’s obviously heavier than a cordless handheld vacuum, but considering the monstrous size of this vacuum, it’s actually not that heavy.

Presumably this is a result of their newer, lighter model. It’s a bit of a trade off though, because it being so light means when you’re using the ‘wands’ the vacuum easily tips over. This is compounded by the hose not being stretchy or long enough.

I was happy with the cord length, which is really long. While I still prefer cordless overall, you need to pay about double this amount for a decent cordless vacuum. The versatility of this vacuum is a big plus, I can see it being great for somebody like a cleaner.

It’s lightness despite the size and the ability to ‘lift-off’ the top to reach higher areas, is really great. The wand also retains a lot of power as a result, so my bathroom fan has never been more dust free! I’m not the biggest fan of the design choice, which I feel is old-fashioned and clunky looking, but I really can’t complain about the function of the Shark Rotator Lift-Away, which prioritises function and strength of suction over everything else, making it a well rounded, strong vacuum for those who want a serious clean!.

The vacuum was easy to put together, and I decided to use it initially after my old vacuum to see if it could vacuum up additional things the old vacuum could not. The vacuum has a nice thick cord, that wraps around, it has height adjustments for the floor, and it has two power modes.

The handle is ergonomic and feels comfortable on my hand, and there is level you step on to release it to retract and vacuum. The first mode is the quietest and gives off a light low mellow bold hum as it works.

I could see using this mode most of the time as I vacuum every few days with younger kids that can naturally get things messy with the carpet. There were a few stickers from my younger sons activity books that got stuck to the carpet, the other vacuum could not lift them off, and to be honest I was a bit lazy and left them there for the time being.

With this vacuum I first went over it in the low mode, and the stickers still stayed, I then for the first time tried the higher power mode, and the vacuum let out a deep transcendent sound, as the power kicked it, it was pleasant, and I live on a lifted home, so the ground even vibrated under the power of the vacuum, and over slow pass over the stickers and they were uprooted from the carpet, I was very impressed! I carpet felt much cleaner than with my old vacuum, I really felt this vacuum picked up a bunch of dirt and stuff in the carpet the other one could not.

The vacuum is easy to maneuver, and the noise levels are acceptable in each power mode. The like the fact the vacuum motor is supposed to last 5 times longer, the vacuum has certifications, and is LEED qualified, so its manufactured with the environment in mind.

The vacuum appears to be exceptionally durable and constructed to last, it has a cable that will almost reach across much of my house. I would recommend this vacuum for anyone looking for that lifetime vacuum purchase that will be the gift that keeps on giving.

The instructions talk about general maintenance, and the vacuum almost comes with an extra belt replacement.

Easy to assemble. I have a hard time with vacuums either breaking belts or just not have the suction power to pick anything up. I chose this one because of the metal parts and the hope that the old fashion design meant it has been around long enough that I won’t have any problems with it.

The suction is AMAZING! I have carpet throughout my entire house, including one of my bathrooms. The belt has not broken yet and that is great because the moment I turned on my last vacuum, the belt broke.

Another plus is the roller is easy to clean. I have two teenage girls that have long hair like me, so you can only imagine the amount of hair I have to take off of the roller and having to clean the roller every time I vacuum a room.

The only problem I have had so far is the top plastic cord holder broke. So, I will need to find a replacement because it holds the bag upright as well.

Before I get started, I do like this vacuum cleaner! Most of this unit seems to be well made metal construction. Its a simplistic design, simple durable functionality. However. as I was putting it together I noticed 3 minor flaws.

1. Flipping over the main head of the machine youll notice the area where the bag attaches to the main head is entirely made of plastic, as is the bag vent/housing that attaches to the plastic port on the main head of the unit.

A foam gasket was used and stuck on with double sided tape where the exhaust screws to the plastic manifold. This gasket had slipped off center because the double sided tape didnt hold well, and therefore when I screwed the two pieces together there was a gap where air, debris would have leaked past.

So, I had to remove the screws and recenter the gasket and screw it back down again. A rubber gasket would have been nice where the foam gasket was used. And the Im not entirely sold on the plastic vent from the bag which bolts to the plastic manifold/head, I guess time will tell if it will last or crack in that area.

2. The main handle/shaft set of holes were not drilled properly and therefore out of alignment, thus I was unable to get the sleeved nut to slide through the hole in the shaft, as it was drilled off center causing one of the holes of the handle to not fully line up.

So, I drilled it out myself, see the photos. It really didnt take much, it was easy enough, so if you end up getting the same defect by some chance, just make sure you take the handle out of the vacuum cleaner before you do drill it.

Be sure to clean up all the metal shavings because they can cause a lot of trouble if you get them under the skin etc. wear safety glasses. I used a wet paper towel to clean up the small amount of metal debris afterwards.

3. The height knob seemed loose and was not lining up, I didnt have a Star Allen set so luckily I was able to get it to turn all the way back by picking up the unit and making sure the plastic wheels are off the ground and no pressure on them, from there the knob got much looser and I was able to turn it to the correct setting.

By the way, one set of these wheels are very nice rubber, the other set is plastic. Im a fan of the rubber non-marking wheels. Im not sure rubber would have worked on both sets, if so it would have been nice to have all 4 wheels non-marking rubber wheels.

Ok, thats about it excuse the video, my daughter insisted on helping me out with the review so I was thrown off mark a bit, but she helped get me back on track. Probably should have extended that 20 industrial cord a little bit more before she started vacuuming, but all turned out well.

I can only offer my first impressions at this time, because I just received this product today, and used it for the first time. Like any new item that replaces an old item, it will have an adjustment period.

I’ll have to get used to the stiff curve in the hose where the extension tube (REAL METAL) attaches — I’m used to a more flexible hose at that junction, which allows me to create my own angles freely, whereas the hose on this vacuum cleaner is rigid at a set angle.

As for its power to pick up, I like the adjustable suction, which I placed at two-thirds strength, which is already twice as much suction as my old vacuum cleaner had. Overall, It has a nice selection of tools, it is a good size, the retractable cord works well.

My only constructive criticism would be for the company to make the instruction manual a bit more detailed by explaining EXACTLY where to find the motor filter (it’s in the same compartment as the bag).

The locations of the other filters were very clear. Also there are a couple of buttons for which there is no explanation in the instruction manual. And the font size used in the printed instruction manual is way too small.

The font size on the instruction insert, however, is much more reasonably sized for reading. So, at this point, I’ll still give it five stars, because what’s most important is that it has good suction, and I foresee it continuing to work.

I’m satisfied with the purchase.

For the price, the PowerSpeed Turbo Pet Cord Rewind Upright Vacuum is a decent solution for home cleaning, but some design quirks left me scratching my head. This vacuum cleaner faces the same challenges of any other model or brand that uses a dry bag or paper filter.

Once the pores of the aforementioned filter begin to clog you lose airflow, and thereby, your cleaning ability. This is why the decision to include a “more suction” or “less suction” adjustment left me scratching my head.

Why would anyone ever want less suction and thereby less cleaning power? Speaking of the auction adjustment, this vacuum is like many others in its class, in that, it has a detachable wand for non-floor cleaning.

Head scratcher #2 is that fact that this wand has no locking mechanism to keep it attached to the main hose. It simply slides down onto the receiving end, which is easily dislodged during normal floor cleaning.

I had to reattach the wand several times during my first use of the vacuum due to this reoccurring. This is a major oversight in my opinion. The attached pet tool works well, as does the dirt collection chamber and retractable cord, all of which are positives for this model.

The positives don’t outweigh the negatives for me unfortunately. The lack of a locking mechanism on the wand is a deal breaker and a constant annoyance.

We received this pet vacuum when we were searching for a backup. We wanted a second to compare since we vacuum daily. We have a messy toddler, one long haired cat and five long haired humans living in our home.

There are multiple settings to choose from (carpet, bare floors, etc. ). The cyclone grabs dirt and dust, holds pet and long human hair and is easily able to access and dispose. I love how you can just dump the dirt and not have to use vacuum bags.

The filter is reusable and can be rinsed out to clear. The eject button is in a good place (so you don’t accidentally bump and dump. This happened several times with our other pet vacuum. Such a hassle to clean up another mess when you are already cleaning up your mess of a home).

The cord is surprisingly long and can handle a big home. There are multiple attachments to use in your home or vehicle. The attachments work okay. The suction is adjustable on the pet hair attachment.

They don’t pick up everything and the components feel cheap. It doesn’t feel durable and the plastic feels flimsy. The handling of the Eureka Pet Vacuum is okay. Compared to our other upright pet vacuum, this vacuum is harder to maneuver around corners and around furniture.

It doesn’t swivel around or under furniture with ease. The vacuum has a lower light but it’s not very bright. This is a good backup vacuum for us. It helps pick up dust, dirt and hair. It works well for a big home since it has a very long retractable cord.

Compared to our original pet vacuum, this product is just okay. We’d still choose to spend more to have a much better quality product that will last longer.

First off, I have a long haired and short haired cat, and a fluffy 2 coated dog. Needless to say I have a lot of fur in my house! I waited a few days to see just how much this thing could do, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I was able to do my while living room before emptying the canister! And most of the fur came out pretty easily.

I did need to open the top to get some that had wrapped around the inside, but that’s almost to be expected. The hose worked well, although I’d like to have seen an extra tube to extend it other than the skinny furniture attachment.

It did decently along the edges, did still need to use the hose on the right side though. The power button is a foot pedal next to the unlock pedal, which is both good and bad. It seemed super powerful and moved relatively easy on my thickish but not long carpet.

It was easy to put together out of the box, and I love the extra attachments that all have a place to lock onto the vacuum. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with this lightweight vacuum in terms of suction and ability to get pet fur up!.

I have been using the same Miele Canister for over 19 years. It is a good vacuum cleaner. It does reach hard to get places like under a couch. That’s if there is space under your couch. It does suck up what you have on the carpet very well.

I do have two complaints first the cost is high so you pay a lot at first. If you have it a long time it doesn’t amount to much each year. Second pulling it around can be a bit much. Oh it does come with good attachments.

I hd a Miele canister vacuum a few years ago that I regrettably left when I moved across the country. I currently have a big ol’ Hoover Wind Tunnel upright that is so heavy and takes up so much space in my apartment.

It doesn’t even clean as well as my old Miele did — and I recently learned I had picked the wrong one–mine was only for hard floors, not carpeting — which worked just great on my hardwood floors covered with rugs.

I’m going back to Miele.

I consider this my first adult purchase after my home. I was so nervous spending so much money on an appliance it took me over a year to finally pull the trigger and get my meile. It’s only been a couple of years and its definitely been performing as expected.

A few reasons I chose this over other brands/models. I liked the lightweight/compactness of it. The multiple attachments and the length of hose. Certified HEPA filter and bags. And the reputation of its life expectancy.

I truly love this machine! Our log cabin home has six different types of flooring, and in addition to bringing in dirt from gardening we have a wood stove- which causes a good bit of dust. This machine handled everything! The high torque xl cleaner head is AMAZING and I cannot tell you how incredible it is to walk around the house, unencumbered by cables, and see my floors cleaner than they have been in years.

This machine has literally cut my vacuuming time in half. The capacity of both the debris container and the battery makes it possible for me to continuously clean the entire top floor of my house without having to stop! The performance of this thing is just incredible- everything it touches gets so, so clean.

I used the hair screw attachment to vacuum the carpet where my sewing machine operates – no jammed rollers! (I used to have to get on my hands and knees with a flashlight and pick up any stray threads before I vacuumed.

) My husband’s wood carving leaves tons of little chips that end up traveling through the whole house. Due to the convenience and performance he has actually been using the Dyson himself to clean them up daily.

The lcd screen is great- clear and easy to use and understand. I love the fact that I always know how much battery life I have. Also, being able to choose the strength of the suction is a sweet feature, especially when using this to clean upholstery (which it is really great at, too).

I have also used the crevice tool to clean the dust from our log walls- which is just life changing, frankly. This is such a great machine- I can’t say enough good things about it. If you have a challenging situation when it comes to keeping your floors (and house in general) clean, I highly recommend this vacuum.

I am new to this type of vacuums. The technology seems amazing and super friendly for households since it packs a tremendous succión power with a pleasant low noise environment and easy handling. The design and functionality of all the attachments and main unit is truly revolutionary.

For all that, the high price (compared to similar equipment from other brands) is somehow tolerable. Seriously, paying over a thousand dollars for a vacuum is a decision not taken lightly. But when you see the results from that first time tests, a sense of relief comes to you.

The downside here is that you are paying a premium on the technology itself but not on the product overall. This vacuum is constructed with the cheapest possible plastic material Dyson could find out in China.

It is scary manipulating the unit with the sensation that a wrong turn or an accidental fall from the hands will break this vacuum in thousand pieces. Honestly, I do not see the usability of this product (based on the quality of the material) beyond 2-3 years if left in a high temperature garage, or exposed to the elements in your back porche or if it is not handled with extreme care, which I don’t think should be a factor when using a vacuum cleaning.

In a fair comparison with another premium product like Kirby (similar usability, functionality, and price) I prefer by far this Dyson unit, admitting, however, that it is very likely, that Dayton Outside Absolute (for awesome it is) will not last the 10 years that Kirby has given me without a single problem with the same results (although the noise, the heavy weight, the outdated look and the lack of cool technology where Dyson shines as a King).

I was leery of spending over $700 on a vacuum. I had used a corded Shark machine for years and thought it worked fine aside from lackluster performance on bare floors. The Dyson Absolute Outsize+ has made a believer of me, though.

First things first, I love not having to deal with a cord. I was worried about sacrificing performance for battery life but that turns out to be a non-issue; this machine offers better suction than any vacuum I’ve used in the past, and works exceptionally well on tile and wood floors.

Maneuverability is amazing. It cleans edges very well and easily gets under all but the lowest furniture, including beds. It’s quite lightweight in my opinion. We have a 4200 square foot house that takes a lot of vacuuming and I fine it easier with this machine than the old upright Dyson my wife used previously.

We also have a 90-lb golden retriever who sheds like mad, but this machine keeps the dog hair tumbleweeds away. Take out the long tube used for floor cleaning and attach the floor head directly to the motor assembly and it works great for vacuuming carpeted stairs.

I use the upholstery attachment for cleaning patio furniture, where a corded machine would be a pain. Some other reviewers have complained about the weight and lack of a trigger lock. Personally, I think older upright vacuums are much more backbreaking than this model, between the need to carry up and down stairs and deal with a cord that’s always in the way, and having to keep the trigger pressed saves battery in my opinion.

It’s hard to believe that some folks have issues with suction, unless the machine is clogged or they’re doing something wrong. Some have complained about too much suction on carpets, and I get that; I had the same issue until I discovered the slider on the brush head that controls suction.

It’s a simple matter to open it up for use on carpets and to switch to Econ mode on high-pile rugs. My only quibble is that the wall mounted charger seems perhaps a bit flimsy and I wonder how it will hold up over time.

Since that’s the only potential negative I can find, 5 stars is well deserved.

I had a Dyson that lasted 20 YEARS & it was wonderful until it just finally broke, took me 2 yrs to decide on another vacuum because of the various good/bad reviews, I bought a very cheap one until I could make a decision on a better one, BUT instead of spending $400-$500 on another dyson, I decided to give this one a try, on sale it was a great deal I thought! I do like it, BUT it is heavy, can get kinda backbreaking all the pushing & pulling & ONLY has 2 settings> hardwood or carpet, otherwise you can’t move it up or down for short or longer shag carpet/rugs & ect, so it goes full speed suction on everything & will shred a rug & get hung up in seconds.

Cord length is minimal, so have to constantly stop & plug it in closer. No light & only 2 attachments. It gets the job done I guess. I don’t know why in the world anyone would need a 3XL cannister but whatever.

It puts out A LOT OF HEAT, like pushing around a blowing heater. It has a good attachment for furniture & stairs. All in all, for $150 on sale, tax & all, it is a good buy! Hopefully it will last a few yrs!.

Great Black Friday Deal. No model is perfect. This is my 2nd shark. A few complaints on this model. 1. The power cord placement. If you are not holding or manipulating the powercord, because of its placement on the unit it can wrap under the neck at the base.

Then if/when you try to lock it in the upright position the cord can get pinched. Even possibly damaged if you force it not realizing. 2. It does’nt have the power switch on the handle like my other older Shark.

I constantly have to reach around to turn it off instead of pressing a button on the handle where my thumb is already. 3. The filters are different. Standardize to save everyone time and money. Does a great job otherwise.

They hold up better than a comparable model at the price. It’s a household vacuum that I use in my house like a shopvac and I’ve had shop vacs that didn’t last or do as well a job.

We’ve always had Dyson vacuums. They have incredible suction and I’ve literally never had issues with them. So shame on me when I thought we’d pick this up for the main level in our home (mostly hardwoods and rug coverage).

Well, we have 4 long haired dogs and need to vacuum a couple times a week and this thing clogs constantly. The roller brush on the front for hardwoods leaves massive clumps of hair and needs cleaning constantly.

The suction is less than any dyson I have, and I couldn’t dare imagine trying to use this on my real carpet in the basement. Good thing I left my dyson down there for the basement carpet. Sad I wasted my Sam’s rewards on this last year.

I bought this to replace a Dyson stick vacuum so my comparison is to that. I use it mainly for wood floors throughout a kitchen, dining area, living room, entry, etc. but also for carpeted stairs and pet beds.

Things that it does better than the dyson: Way better suction and more power Obviously never runs out of battery And my personal favorite…it sucks up so much larger debris!!! My dyson struggled to get up anything bigger than a grain of rice and shot things in all directions if it was too big but this thing sucks up entire potato chips in an instant.

It has different power modes like a dyson but even on the lowest setting it seems stronger than the dyson on boost. Makes even super thick carpet look awesome (perfect for stairs) Things that might be better with a dyson: Dyson maneuvers ever so slightly better because it has the ball at the base rather than the wheels Dyson doesn’t “lock” into an upright position which I actually prefer Dyson is more stylish and space age looking It’s nice not to have a cord Overall none of the minor downsides even come close to outweighing the positives.

I so wanted to keep loving my dyson but even after trying a super expensive new model I just couldn’t love it. I wouldn’t use this to vacuum my entire house but I wasn’t using the dyson for that either.

If you’re looking for a good stick vacuum to do the high traffic hard floors, rugs, etc that are too tricky with a big upright vacuum try this. I can’t speak to how long it will last but hoping it can make it the two years my dyson lasted.

The box appeared as though it had been in a demolition derby and was left by Fedex in the vestibule of my apt. building where it could be easily taken; I was home waiting for it but the driver did not bother to buzz me.

Sadly part of my ordering from Target was thinking that it would ship via UPS. The box had no seal/tape at the openings which was surprising; I do not know if this is how the manufacturer packages their products.

It arrived in the Shark box which it did indicate in the description and I am just thankful I hustled to get the box before someone saw it and took it (because the contents are boldy marked. ) I just finished vacuuming my home and I must say that it did do a very nice job.

It is a little bit of a nuisance in terms of storage though. It will stand when you removed the handheld mechanism from the top but then the cord needs to be wound and you need to find space for all this (if you are like me you do not buy cannister vacuums because they take up more space and this seems to be a similar situation.

) No wall mount is included. I have had Sharks before and I am hopeful that this will last; just know that if you are having it delivered anyone can see (even from a distance) the picture of a vacuum and the bold writing on it and regardless of how pleasant your neighborhood might be theft is a problem everywhere these days.

I recommend this vacuum but suggest if possible that you pick it up in the store to avoid an unpleasant situation.

I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4.

No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere.

Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3. 5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it).

I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug.

4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall.

Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.

1. A 2nd Battery should be Included with the intial purchase. High power suction is rarely USEFUL as it drains the Battery run-time MUCH TOO FAST to clean more than A VERY SMALL surface area. 2. The floor tool LEDs, are very “bright” to our eyes but only “Dimly & barely” light up more than even a few inches of floor.

Those tool lights are placed too low, their lighting is too unfocused, and that also leaves the other tools with no lighting. Solution: 2a. Leave the LEDs ON the floor tool but also ADD a circular ring of LEDs to the main body of the vacuum.

2b. Use a lens to spot-focus ALL of the lights. Space them so the edges of each of their lighting areas slightly overlap. 2c. That would create high & low, mini-LED spotlights, with focused, overlapping lighting coverage, that is usable with every attachment & also more effective w/the floor tool.

3. Include a lights On/Off option. LEDs ARE efficient but, battery-run-time WILL be longer if the lights aren’t needed & can be turned off. 3. Can that white filter be water rinsed & air dried? If not, Then, 3a.

Publicize the cleaning steps necessary to re-clean it. 3b. Engineer a future, purchasable filter replacement that IS eithet water rinse-able & air dry-able OR, easily re-cleanable. (The following is a product Feature Request, for a future version of this vacuum.

It is NOT a Criticism. ) 4. Can future iterations/versions of this vacuum include 4a. additional internal sensors that would trigger the Wyze app to issue the following notifications via our (the customers) choice of Phone/Alexa/Google: 4b.

This vacuum is quite impressive. The suction power surprised me. The battery has always lasted long enough for us to do our medium sized living room carpet, a fairly large kitchen with a hardwood floor, and a carpetted master bedroom, plus a quick once over on the living room furniture.

We’ve only ran the battery dead because we forgot to plug it back in after doing all of this. We have an 18 month old plus two huskies and it does very well with all the mess that comes with them. I wish the cannister was bigger.

I have to empty it after each room, mostly because of the dog hair. It’d be great to be able to do the entire area before having to empty it. The built in filter scrubber to knock fine dust particles off of it is a great feature and so is the removable roller with the gooved cut lines.

Being able to pop it out and use these lines to run a knife or scissors underneath the hair and string that gets wrapped around it makes this process so much easier. As for noise, it’s fairly quite. Even on turbo mode the noise is less than that of a traditional vacuum.

In addition to wanting a larger cannister, it would have been a great feature if the wall mount doubled as a charger. I’m surprised the ball was dropped in regards to this. I’m picturing a charging system similar to how a drill battery gets charged where the battery slides into a charging station and automatically charges.

It’d be much more convenient if I could just plug the mount in so that when I hang the vacuum on it, metal contacts on both would clip together and begin charging. It would eliminate having to plug the vacuum in and out as the mount would be powered and would stay powered.

Expanding this concept further and it would be easy to incorporate a second charging dock on the same mount for a spare battery or at least a spot for a spare to clip into for storage when not in use and also for easy access to it if an exchange is needed.

Overall, it’s a great vacuum. As is always the case, wyze has overlooked some fairly basic features that should have been obvious to the design and engineering team when making the product a reality.

I received my Wyze cordless vacuum last week and I’ll admit up front: I’m a bit of vacuum nerd. After recently upgrading our floors to wood floors, I thought this cordless stick vacuum would be a quick way to spot vacuum our behemoth Texas dust bunnies.

Initially, I’m very impressed with this vacuum. I read all the reviews ahead of time so I knew battery life was an issue and I thought, “Maybe they are exaggerating,” so I was not shocked when I saw the percentages on the battery start dropping immediately.

Our house is a little over 1500 sq feet and I was able to vacuum all surfaces on the medium setting and only dip down to around 30% battery life. I didn’t stop to smell the roses, but got after it. Aside from how lightweight the vacuum is one of the other things that I was so stoked about was that it fits quite a ways underneath furniture allowing me to vanquish those dust bunny foes without moving the dresser away from the wall.

I’ve been extra careful in emptying the chamber so as not to disturb the supposedly fickle gasket. The two attachments are great for vacuuming crumbs off of the couch. The LED lights on the front of the unit are very helpful in seeing things that need sucking in corners and crevices.

All in all, I’m quite pleased with this purchase. I’m hoping that Wyze makes additional batteries available for purchase which will really push it over the edge for me.

There are three sections the dirt goes in and I have to clean all three out each week, not just the one section it’s supposed to go into. The cat hair stays at the top, so I have to remove the middle section with the dirt then stick my hand up to take out the top cylinder and get it out to clean, dumping dust and other things all over the place in the process.

makes a terrible noise the whole time. Other vacuums we have had we had to wash out the filters every few months – this one it’s once a week. And that is all just for our home use, where we vacuum no more than twice a week and usually less than that!.

This is not what I would consider a commercial vacuam. Light cabinet, does not pick up well. Considering returning.

The Dyson V7 arrived double boxed. Opening, it was neatly packed. There are only a few pieces to assemble: Vacuum power unit Wand Powered floor brush Hand brush tool Charger I have used a few cordless “stick” vacuums, so have some experience with these appliances.

As with any product, I felt this vacuum is mixed bag of pros and cons. Snapped the unit together – the sections snap and unsnap easily. Then fully charged battery prior to using. The battery seemed to last a fairly long time during use, but also takes a long time to charge.

Using the vacuum mostly on carpet, the vacuum power unit was reasonably quiet with a slight whine. However, the powered floor brush was a bit noisy. As far as cleaning, the vacuum did a reasonably good job for a cordless “stick” vacuum.

Suction was good, and it has a “turbo” – high speed mode for added suction. The powered floor brush seemed to pick up pet hair and the nap of the carpet well. There is a “hand brush” that also has an extension for use as a short crevice tool.

I did not notice any suction loss, but did not allow the dirt chamber to overfill, which can affect suction. There are 2 filters – a “pre-filter” that can be washed, and a final filter that looks to be a paper filter and I think it sould be replaced periodically.

As far as cleaning – and picking up pet hair – this vacuum did a respectable job. The carpet looked good, with the nap lifted. The floor brush cleans itself so hair does not accumulate on the roller.

Overall, does a good job, and could replace a larger corded vacuum. However, I think there are a few misses with this vacuum: There was no “trigger lock” for power – I found constantly holding the power button while in use, applied pressure to my thumb joint due to angle – it got a bit uncomfortable after some time Would have been nice to have some kind of charging “caddy” to store the unit and attachments neatly – maybe a wall mount Also a bit pricey for having just a few attachments and no caddy or storage ability.

If you’ve never used a battery powered stick vacuum, you’re working too hard. The Dyson V7 Advanced Origin vacuum Is one of the lightest vacuums I have used. Easy to maneuver around furniture and items with a flick of the wrist and with its thin beater bar, it fits under furniture with ease.

The battery provides about 30 minutes of vacuuming. At first, I thought this may not be enough considering how much time I used to spend vacuuming. But it turns out once you eliminate the time spent plugging and unplugging the vacuum, minding the cord so it doesn’t get stuck or knock something over, or moving things to vacuum around or under them, I found I could vacuum the house much faster than I ever could before with much less effort.

Not that I have much battery left, it’s just about all used up. I do feel a bit of “Range Anxiety” having just one fixed battery and do rush more. A replaceable battery pack as used on cordless drills and other tools would be a welcome addition.

This Dyson comes with a combination tool, the wand/pipe, and a de-tangling motor bar cleaner head. with hair removal vanes that clear long hair and pet hair from the brush bar. The motor bar cleaner head seems to work, no hair or strings got wrapped around the beater brush.

Be aware that this model comes with just what is listed in the product description, the combination tool attachment. There is no crevice or other attachments which used to be standard. Nor is there a wall mounted charging dock.

If you know you will need the attachments, you should look at other Dyson models that include them or purchase them separately. Not a problem for me replacing a well-used Dyson vacuum that came with the attachments which are all still in excellent condition.

Not including the attachments keeps the older ones that are in good shape from going into the landfill and should help keep the price down. This seems to align with the packaging which was all fully recyclable cardboard.

No foam, plastic or other environmentally bad packing material was used. Replace the wand with the combination tool and you have a very powerful hand-held vacuum to clean furniture, drapes, the car, or whatever you need one for.

The normal/low power setting seems perfectly adequate for hard wood floors and low pile carpet. The High-power mode adds a very noticeable increase in vacuum power and noise. Nice to have when you need it, but I found I rarely did.

The Dyson is a well-made vacuum. Very nimble and powerful. Everything fits and functions exceptionally well, which is what I have come to expect of the brand.

Excellent Cordless Vacuum! However accessories is the weak point. I have another cordless sick vacuum, which I use pretty religiously, as well, however that one has a place for most of it’s accessories, and can hook upon itself and store upright without the need to buy additional mounts or stands.

Which this is the case here. The vacuum itself is high tier and top notch quality wise for what you pay for, especially for this brand. But the part the engine once detached, is a sore thumb of sorts when putting it away.

There is no wall mount included but I have heard that the wall mounts can tear off the wall pretty easily. Whereas, in my other cordless stick vacuum, I can hang the engine on it’s actual stick and have physics do it’s thing.

I adore that! For this, you can stick it with my other brooms and I have to lay the engine down on the floor to charge. I mean you can leave the stick installed and prop it in a corner, but you risk damaging it, if it slips off the wall or whatever.

This comes packaged really well, but like mentioned, the accessories seem more like an afterthought and also with no wall mount or anyway to neatly put it away takes away from otherwise a really nice vacuum.

Out of the box, the vacuum was charged barely. However the suction did not let up and you could not tell that the battery was running out other than the LED on the side. I mean the suction is constant! Very impressive there.
