I have been using this for over a year now and it is so nice! Nothing compares to not having to bend over to mop the floors or deal with lugging a soapy mop bucket around the house! I vaccuum first and then go around and steam mop the floors every single week.

This even has a hair catcher which gets up the hair on the rugs! Having two cats and my hair being 27 inches long, we acquire a lottttt of hair!😂😭I also love how you can get basically little swiffer pads to go on the bottom so your floor gets disinfected as well! The pads smell amazing and are safe for children and pets which is super important! After babe got me this for Christmas in 2020, I will never go back!!! (We have hardwood and tile floors with area rugs).

If you have hard floors that are CONSTANTLY messy (even seconds after you’ve done a deep clean), you need this HydroVac. My boyfriend and I clean our tile weekly because somehow throughout the week it never fails to get gross, it’s always a multi-step process of vacuuming, dry swiffering, wet swiffering, and dry again.

The HydroVac rolled that into one process and it’s blown our minds. The solution is quick drying, within seconds you can walk on it, we were so skeptical at first but this is a huge plus. The scent of the solution is nice and clean and it really left the tiles clean.

The dirty water was ridiculous. It’s easy to put together, and even easier to use. The self-clean function is a God send, so quick and easy, that alone is a game changer. The reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 star is that for some reason the product we received kept turning off while we were using it (we didn’t press the power button off, and it was plugged in the entire time) not sure if this is by design or if we received a faulty product, however when it did stay on consistently it worked like a dream.

Also the area rug cleaning function is great to refresh your rugs or for some spot cleaning, however if you’re expecting a deep clean like an area rug specific cleaner provides, this does not get as deep of a clean, and that was with us going over it multiple times.

Overall, this Shark HydroVac is what everyone needs to clean their hard floors! Save yourself some time and multiple steps and grab this appliance.

Since there is nothing else like this tool on the market, I’ll have to fairly review it by comparing it to a traditional mop and bucket. There are pros and cons for both. While I’m not typically one to invest heavily in a machine that just simply provides an electric way to do a simple manual job, this HydroVac offers so much more.

The rotating antimicrobial roller mimics repeatedly going over the floor surface with minimal movement by the operator. No difficult scrubbing to get a higher level of clean. The cleaning formula was effective and I felt most powerful when mixed with warm filtered water.

Dried on sticky foods came up easily and filled my home with a really nice scent. Where I would prefer a mop and bucket is when I was rinsing all of the tanks out: the solution tank and the dirty water tank.

With a mop and bucket, I just dump and rinse. However, the cleaning power of this HydroVac cannot be matched! I did find that the HydroVac did really well sucking up along edges on the side of the unit but not from the front, so I wish I made a better effort sweeping before using this vac.

At the end of the day, for an investment, you can get a better clean. In fact, I would recommend my friends with disabilities give this appliance a try as it allowed me to do a task that requires physical exertion with much less demand on my body.

This is my second Hoover and after learning from the first I am glad to have had the past experience before ordering this one. The design is, to me, much better than other models. Weight is important.

One doesn’t want something too light because one wants it to scrub hard when washing and go deep when drying. This does that, and the elongated bottom part seems to be well designed to help with that.

BOTH buckets (but especially the dirty one) are now just straight up open buckets. I can’t tell you how ridiculous the last model was. It had nooks and crannies and was impossible to get hands or even brushes in to clean it.

Besides that, the bottom piece cover clips on and off for easy cleaning. So important. They tell users that it’s important to keep it clean and this model makes it easy to actually do that. The automatic wash forward dry backwards (with the “dry only” option) seems to work very well so far.

Time will tell if there are situations where automatic is not ideal. I personally prefer the trigger for more control but having it was not a deal breaker compared to these other points. The stair tool is basic and they could always be improved upon, but its not bad by any means and the clip on brush is very useful.

I didnt give this 5 stars because I only used it once and I don’t yet know if its “perfect” but I’m very happy so far.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mop feature! What’s in the box: – DEEBOT X1 OMNI vacuum and mop robot – OMNI auto-emptying and auto-cleaning station – Extra dust bag – Extra pair of mopping pads – Cleaning brush – User manual When it arrived the size of the box was a little surprising, I was nervous about how big this robot might be.

Once unboxed, it is actually a very manageable size for our home. We have a perfect spot in our family room for the base unit which provides access to all the hardwood and tile flooring on the main level.

Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and made the initial setup a breeze. Ecovacs has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user.

Both the Deebot (vacuum) and the Omni station (base – instructions attached) require setup. The base needs to be plugged in and the clean water tank filled. The DEEBOT should be fully charged before initial use.

The side brushes and mop pads can be installed at this point or left off for initial mapping of the required spaces. Once the area is mapped a 2D or 3D map is available, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired.

There are numerous settings available based on user preferences. Cleaning: The DEEBOT X1 simply outperforms any previous robot vacuums I have owned. The unit runs quietly, and the mopping performance far exceeded my expectations.

We have a small dog that keeps us on our toes in terms of cleaning the hardwood and tile flooring and it’s now a snap. We get approximately 3-4 cleanings out of a tank and the clean up between uses is very manageable.

It’s probably the smartest “smart” device we own but is a breeze to setup and operate. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a robot vacuum with mopping capabilities.

Only prob so far was learning how to say yiko correctly, tec said it’s a common report and they are working on improving it but once you get use to saying it correctly she is all good, Would be good to give it your own name.

quick mapping works well and is pretty accurate and a bit of fun with the 3D plan. You can then name the rooms and schedule your own cleaning plan, down to how many times and what power on the vac. only jammed twice from one of the kids small pencils hiding under the bed and a large plastic wrapper kids bedroom again.

The station works really well with the auto empty and cleaning mop pads, no leaks and not to bad on the noise. I have about 180 square metres of floors to do,(the bot shows the area and time it takes) all at once the bot has to recharge and go out to finish off the last 30m, once it recharges for six hours, but once a schedule is set this won’t be a prob as only cleaning certain areas different times of the day.

Mopping does work well on fresh mess and a dusty floors but if its dried up sauce or liquid from kitchen cooking and you don’t get straight onto it the bot doesn’t have the scrubbing power to pick it up also no chemicals can be added to the water, ecovac are apparently going to have a product soon.

One other thing to take note is that it will not go onto carpet while the mop pads are in so you cannot schedule to do carpet and hard floors the same time, I have set up for hard floors on regular program and just pull out the mops for the carpet a couple time a week only bedrooms and a rug in the lounge bit of a pain for such an expensive toy, but not big issue as it takes thirty secs to change over.

The camera is great and being able to speak and check up on the kids is handy also to do a home security check, the cat comes out and checks the bot out each time I turn in on remotely. Overall very happy with it so far and believe it will improve as ecovac are identifying any improvements and adding to the algorithm.

Overall, the ECOVACS Robotics – DEEBOT X1 OMNI is a solidly-constructed robotic vacuum. I was able to test it in terms of mopping floors (which it did quite thoroughly) and am still looking at how it vacuums carpeting.

The base unit is about 40 or more pounds, even without water being inside one of the two liquid containers housed in the unit–so be prepared when you either pick up this unit from the store or have it delivered.

If you follow the directions in order, you’ll have no problems in getting the unit set up. I didn’t exactly do that, as I tend to be one to try to intuitively set something up (thinking if it’s engineered right, certain things should be obvious).

Follow the directions with this unit! The vacuum unit itself comes about seventy-or-so-percent charged, so you can begin a vacuum sequence straight out of the box. You will need to download the ECOVACS app (in my case, via the App Store) in order to interface with the device.

What’s interesting is that the firmware required two separate updates to become fully updated, reminiscent of going from Windows 9 to Windows 10 to Windows 11! I’ve not had a device before that required stepped updates.

However, once the updates were done, everything was set. It was too bad that there was at least one grammatical error within the app–one would think that in spending more than four figures on a vacuum system, folks would be more detail-oriented, but this didn’t effect functionality.

When I set up the vacuum to mop, I added Pine-Sol to the clean water container with no issues. As mentioned, the vacuum properly mapped the area to be mopped. The DEEBOT has a camera that allows you–via four-digit password protection–to literally see what it sees as it’s cleaning the area.

There’s apparently the ability to have phone calls and other interaction via the robot, which I think is a bit overboard, but I didn’t design it. Overall, this is a solid device that seems to work at least as good as the competition.

Is it worth the hefty price tag? I think that depends on what your needs are.

Robotic vacuums and mops have been around for years with names like Roomba and Scoober, etc. I have owned three, and all perform somewhat successfully, but somewhat unreliably. The Ecovacs Deebot T10+ is the best robotic Vacuum and mopping product I have used.

Alas, it still fell short of my hoped for expectations. Very close — but no cigar! First, the pros: It is well constructed with a long life battery and easy set up. The application that you load onto your controlling device is well designed with features that surpass those of competitors.

Pairing your device takes under a minute and then mapping begins as you launch the Deebot for its 1st cleaning. It is very fast and effective with the app displaying precisely where it is in your home.

When the Deebot charge wanes, it returns to its home and recharges (it also empties it’s debris haul), and then resumes cleaning. The app allows you to place furniture and other objects in areas where you can fine tune the map of your home and improve the efficiency of the Deebot’s travel.

The apps 3D view is excellent. I was amazed at the power of the Deebot to bump against and push/move light furniture. I have 2 small tables with legs connected by a metal bar approximately 1/2 ” off the ground that the Deebot climbed over once and pushed the second time.

In the bathrooms, I have throw rugs and a U shaped piece of carpeting around each commode. Deebot got hung up and needed help. Several times it got stuck in areas with small area carpeting, and therein lies the rub.

I was unable to set it to do its job reliably 99% of the time. There were several locations where I had to pick up carpeting and light objects such as TV tray tables. If I overlooked something, Deebot usually got hung up.

Whenever i was diligent in picking up throw rugs, small area rugs, light weight furniture, the performance was MASTERFUL! The fact that I could easily select a room and area for mopping was excellent, and the Deebot did a very good job.

I believe that Ecovac will continue to make firmware adjustments to it’s outstanding application and this product will then be reliable enough to set and forget, and maintain a clean home with minimal effort — which is the dream of owning a robotic vacuum/mop.

First, I wanted to mention that I’m a blind person so I will be describing the purchase, set up , and use of this robot without sight. I have a little bit of vision, enough to see light and dark and some objects but I can’t read print or see most colors.

I decided to go with the plus version of the X1 since mopping really wasn’t a big priority for me, I do have all hard floors but don’t have any pets and I usually don’t have issues with stains on my floor.

Also I have heard that the stations for the turbo and omni models are quite large. I did require sighted help to purchase the robot on the Ecovacs web site. Since I can’t read the computer screen I use a screen reader which allows a person to read and interact with the computer using speech.

On the last page of the ordering process, there is a check box that you need to select to agree to the terms before clicking the “place order” button. I was not able to check the option and had to get sighted help for this.

I have notified Ecovacs about this issue and hopefully this is something that they will resolve with their site. After taking everything out of the box, I was able to identify everything by touch. I do have a small robot vacuum collection, this is my ninth robot so I’m familiar with how they work and the set up process.

This robot has two side brushes and they are different colors. I’m pretty sure I installed them correctly, I had enough vision to tell that one brush was lighter than the other one, and I noticed the same thing on the robot so I matched them up that way, however, someone who has no vision at all could definitely have a problem.

From what I can tell, it would have been possible to install the brushes in the wrong place, I’m not sure if this would cause a major problem but I would suggest that Ecovacs change this so it’s only possible to install the brush in the correct place, unless reversing them would not really cause a problem, both of my side brushes are definitely spinning so I’m assuming it’s fine.

I use an iphone and it has a built in screen reader called Voiceover that allows a blind person to use the touch screen without seeing it. Depending on how an application is developed, it may or may not read well.

The Ecovacs home app works well with Voiceover. I didn’t bother trying to scan the bar code, I just opened the app store and downloaded the app that way. I already had an account that I created when I purchased the robot and I was able to log in to this account in the app.

I did run in to either a bug or a design flaw when trying to connect the X1 Plus to my network, I’m not sure if this is a hardware issue or if it can be corrected in software but at first the robot could not find my network.

It turns out that the robot will not work if the network is hidden, that is, the router does not broadcast the network name. I had my network set as hidden for added security but I had to change this in order for the robot to connect to my network, none of my other devices have this issue.

Once I changed my router to broadcast the network name the rest of the set up worked fine. I had no problem changing the robot settings in the app, I prefer to use the maximum power the robot has, if the power is available, why not use it for a better clean? I’m not sure if Ecovacs thought of this but the Yiko voice assistant might be very useful for someone who has a disability related to motor skills which could prevent them from holding or using a mobile device to run the app.

Once the robot is set up, the voice assistant can be used to access most of the robot features. In conclusion, I would say this is a great robot, I was able to set it up without any sighted help, hopefully the issue I mentioned with the web site can be addressed and if possible, fix the issue so the robot works with hidden wi-fi networks.

The robot cleans really well and it’s a robot that I would definitely recommend.

I bought this unit, which was more expensive than other, similar products, because of the 5-star reviews, though it is about half of the highest-end product. It is a good unit and I like it. It usually takes me 3-4 hours to vacuum and mop my floors, which are a combination of hardwood and tile, with a large area rug in the center of the living room.

The Deebot doesn’t take any less time, as it is VERY thorough, but I can be doing other things while it works away, only having to give it a nudge if gets stuck somewhere (rare). It took a bit of fiddling to get it set up; the first few tries at connecting to the wi-fi were not successful – operator error something else, I don’t know.

But I eventually got it to work, though the use of strategically uttered profanity. It vaccums well and has good suction. Some bigger bits get thrown off (such as a stray coffee bean), but there wasn’t much of that.

The Deebot 10+ doesn’t require guidance blocks, like the older units needed. While the mapping appeared haphazard, it worked well and I have a large area, close to 1000sf on the main floor with five rooms – living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and office area.

It found its way around to every room. For vacuuming, it goes from a wood floor to a relatively thick large area rug with no problem, provided the corners are firmly anchored to the floor. It also goes over raised edging between rooms (~1/2 high.

) One corner of my area rug was not anchored and the unit got stuck on it, but the good news is that the unit seemed to learn not to go over the corners. Small rugs must be picked up as well as other small items.

All cords must be off the floor (it WILL get itself tangled up in them) and of course, there are areas too small for the unit to reach. If you are standing in a room while the unit is cleaning, the unit may not to clean the rest of that floor, as it did in my kitchen first time around.

Second time, I stayed out of the kitchen and it worked fine. I had to manually vacuum the dirt from corners and around some of the edges of the rooms because the unit could get to these places. This is not the machine’s fault; just be aware this unit won’t “do it all” for you.

So don’t throw away your regular vacuum. I use a cordless wand to do the detail work, which maybe took 10 minutes. You can figure out what it will clean and what it won’t simply by looking at it’s size.

The mop worked very well. I recommend starting on the “Max” setting the first time around, to get a good baseline cleaning. I had no problems and it did a great job just using water. I did have to take a sponge to the same corners I swept earlier, as the unit could not get to them.

Again – no more than 10 minutes. Now, I’m sitting here enjoying da beautifully cleaned floor having done a fraction of the work.

As far as I am aware you won’t find better value for any similar product in Australia. It does do what it promises, and very well. The steam action is excellent. However, understand the limits of the machine.

To my mind these are: 1. It’s very heavy, and I find, v tiring. 2. It is not cordless. The cord must be wound up and unwound constantly or it gets in the way, and leaves cord lines on the floor 3. If your floors are dusty, a thin line of wet dust will be left wherever the machine butts up against a hard wall, and reverses, which you may want to remove by hand after your floors have dried.

4. I can’t clean my whole home just with the two included cleaning pads, if floors are v dirty – after a party for example. Have more on hand or be prepared to do the house in two rounds. 6. At least twice during the process I will need to clean off the base of the machine, as some of the dust bunnies get trapped into the bristles of the vacuum and don’t get sucked up, they begin to leave trails in the steamed floors… So, in my opinion this is a superb version of a steam mop plus vacuum and the quality of the finish left on the floor is the best I can find in a steamer- but it’s not yet perfect.

I like that I can spray my product on the floor, and the steamer cleans, isn’t harmed by the product, and so I don’t have to use their synthetic scent! My Lemon Myrtle non-toxic cleaner scents the air and assists with stickier patches.

A great compromise of features/weight/facility and excellent price.
