20 Best V6 Truck For Towing (2023 Updated)

I’ve seen this toy and read that it pulls up to 200 lbs. This toy doesn’t even pull anything that weighs more than 5 lbs. Not sure if we bought a defected one, but it won’t pull anything that has some weight on it.

So my 4 year old just pushes the buttons. And just watch it drive off with nothing to tow. Glad we didn’t spend too much money on it. But this product isn’t worth the money.

The entertainment value lasted about 8 hours. Once the kids showed everyone what it’s towing capabilities were the kids lost interest. It might make a comeback in a few months. It definitely can tow a lot of weight (over 100 lbs) very short distances.

Tries to climb walls. Works best on hard surfaces not carpet.

I bought this truck for my son on Christmas and we are just now opening to use it. He saw it on tv and really wanted it. He is 6 by the way. To say the least it didn’t work at all. He didn’t move one bit.

All it did was make noise. I followed the directions to a tee. My son was so upset which made me mad. So I hope I can still return it because it does not do anything at all.

I installed on my 2006 Chevy Avalanche. Factory plug fit perfectly. I had to drill through the bumper plate next to the license plate to install. 1 3/4″ drill bit does not allow harness plug to clear in this install format so I had to use a metal file to enlarge the hole.

Harness had four corner fastener locations and allowed a very secure connection to the bumper using the included bolt and nuts. I like that this has separate 4-point and 7-point plug openings. The weather covers are tight and functional.

Great kit, nice price, pretty easy to install with basic tools.

Great value with two different styles of trailer connectors. The connection coming from the vehicle electrical was a perfect fit to install the new unit. HOWEVER, the bracket that holds the connector housing on my Expedition did not accept the holes or mounting bracket that came with the connector.

I drilled two small holes in my existing bracket and then it was a great fit. Even with a little modification needed to mount the connector, I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

I’ve already organized everything that used to take up half of my truck for camping/overlanding into it, and there’s still plenty of room to spare. I plan to mod the far back portion of the drawers to accommodate a couple of deep cycle batteries once I get my solar setup in.

It’s got plenty of room even in my short bed Ram to stretch out, so I threw a memory foam topper on top of it, and my sleeping bags. I expect it’ll be plenty comfortable when I hit the road for 6 months or so coming up soon.

Shipping was quick, and it arrived neatly packed. Instructions were delightfully condescending and absolutely crystal clear, like getting walked through it by a longtime friend who enjoys nothing more than ribbing you.

I did find that in my particular case there wasn’t much thread to grab ahold of on the drivers side cargo rings on the J hooks, even when the Decked was perfectly centered. I can’t imagine the issue is with the hardware or the Decked system itself though, but it was a bit of a pain.

I’m probably an idiot though, haha! Other than that, installation was easy, and I knocked it out by myself in a few hours. My dogs don’t know what to make of the new bed height, but they’ll have to get used to it.

Handling of the vehicle is the same. Let’s just say I drive. sportingly? Even fully loaded with my stuff, it doesn’t feel any different overall when driving. If I could come up with an actual drawback to this system, it might look something like this: I might have to start tying off my grocery bags before I set them in the bed and close my tonneau over top.

First grocery trip, I thought I had lost a thing of coffee creamer, alfredo, and a head of lettuce. Went back out and opened the tailgate, and my truck regurgitated all three in a hilarious moment. Girlfriend still hasn’t let me live it down.

I just installed my Decked toolbox. So far I love it. When I called customer Their customer service department to confirm the box would fit with my access tonneau cover model # 62329 I was told adamantly it would not fit with the decked toolbox.

Because the return policy is not very attractive cost wise and it took 3 full weeks to receive here in Alberta Canada i was worried. So I did my own measurements and checked it twice and it does fit.

What decked missed is they went by Acess fit numbers instead of calculating themselves. The part that was missed is they took the measurements on the width And did not calculator a part of their toolbox actually fits over the front of the truck box right behind the window.

My truck is a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD here’s a photo so any other purchasers will know in advance and not have to worry about placing the order. But so far I do love the toolbox no complaints about it, not cheap In fact it might be the most expensive toolbox available.

I’m hoping to have it for the most of the rest of my lifetime so I wanted a good one that I could count on, The latter feature is just a sweet touch my truck is so high it’s really made access nice without having to open up the entire Tanneau cover and climb into the truck box for Access.

As a footnote I was able to find a really nice 3500 pound winch that fits with room to spare underneath the toolbox very happy about that,.

Instalation was fairly easy, did it with out needing any asistance to lift anything. There was a misprint in the, other wise good, instructions, when putting on the last parts it listed the wrong bag of bolts.

The bolts listed were already used up putting the deck together, so obviously it was the last bag that had the bolts. Not really a problem since it was at the end of the build so it was obvious. Many of the bolts are modified, having the first few threads partly removed for better starting, I presume, but the way it’s done made them a bit prone to cross threading.

I figured that out right away so start every one by hand to be sure of thread engagement and it’s all good. It also comes with some nylon washers, some of the locations for their use is over a slotted hole, which the washers don’t do well in, so I added some flat washers in those areas and that worked well.

I haven’t loaded it up yet as the weather hasn’t been very nice yet, but I’m sure it’ll do what I want it to. I also made some cable loops that used the anchor points in the truck, the loops stick up above the deck, so I haven’t lost any of my tie down points.

Over all I’m happy with this product, and expect it to last, as it appears to be well constructed. Now I just need to find a good rack for the truck and I’ll have it set up as I want it.

Ok, it looks nice and all. But looks can often be deceiving. I Purchased this at a toy store near me and it was not the greatest. The quality of this little truck was so bad. When you pick it up, you can hear it crunching and crackling.

I went to open the door and after 2 days of use, it snapped off. Which was to no surprise. Do not recommend this unless you wanna keep it on display only. If you play with it, It will break because it’s cheap plastic.

We have bought this for our 7 year old Grandson as part of his Christmas present so obviously he has not yet seen it. It is however very robust & up to the usual Bruder quality. It was a competitive price on Ebay.

Our Grandson has other Bruder toys & has always enjoyed playing with them so we are sure that he will enjoy this come Christmas morning. Great detail for a toy.

For model 76004, square tube with higher capacity. You can install it yourself, kinda, but you really need help to put it into position. The Colorado step bumper and bumper support are light weight and can be handled alone but the new hitch cannot.

Plus it has a very tight fit around the frame rails and must be pushed on with some force or even with a mallet. The fit on mine was just right. The square tube is hidden behind the step bumper. Use 1/2″ drive socket & wrench as torque is 100 ft lbs.

Highly Recommended! (Both the hitch AND AutoAnything for their superb customer service) This is a quality well-built Class IV hitch at a most competitive price, and two people can install it in 30-45 minutes.

It fits well and looks good too. The local new car dealer sells a hitch that resembles this one, but for a much higher price.

FIT GREAT NO PROBLEMS. GETTING THE 4 UPPER BOLTS OFF THE BUMPER TOOK SOME TIME. BOLTS HAD LOCTITE FROM THE FACTORY. COULDN’T GET THE IMPACT ON THEM. TURNED A 40 MINUTE JOB INTO A 2 HOUR JOB. VERY HAPPY WITH THE FIT IT WAS A DIRECT BOLT ON.

The receiver hitch is very easy to install. The other reviews gave some helpful information such as lowering the spare tire before installing. This made life a lot easier. One thing they did not mention, but I found to be awkward to do by myself was the initial attachment.

The hitch isn’t too heavy to lift up, but it is heavier on one end making it harder to hold in place while you put in the first bolt (or two). Having a second set of hands nearby for the first two bolts comes in handy.

Well made, easy to install. Should outlast the vehicle. Nice to have a little extra iron under the bumper, out of sight. Sometimes listed as a round tube but this part number is square tube. Solid welds, decent finish aside from a couple scratches from handling.

Packaging was good, mounting hardware and instructions were complete and a snap to do.

I am Very pleased with the Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch. It is exactly what I needed for my truck. You almost don’t even notice the hitch unless you are looking directly at the back of the truck. Installation was easy, price was good and I am very pleased with it.

DO NOT BUY!!!! My son received this tow truck for his bday and he was so happy and excited not many remote control tow trucks out there. Well after putting in new batteries in both the truck and remote, the remote loses connectivity.

I literally have to remove the batteries from the remote for them to sync up again. I have read and seen other reviews and this seems to be the same issue everyone is experiencing. This is frustrating to be taking the batteries out like every 5 mins.

DO NOT BUY!!!!.

My son is going to absolutely love this. First off, this toy is WAY bigger than I was expecting. When I walked out to a 3 foot package from target on my front porch I was pretty confused. My son loves everything trucks and cars and, in my opinion, this tow truck blows his other tow truck toys out of the water.

Not only is it large, it has working lights and sounds, and a lot of moving parts which is great for kids like him who love to figure out how things work. Great value for the price. If you’re thinking about this toy for a kid who loves trucks, think no further.

My boys are ages 2 and 4 years old and they haven’t put this toy down since they got it. They both adore playing with trucks and vehicles of all kinds but a tow truck is one that we dont have in our collection so I think that its uniqueness is what really draws them to it.

It is realistic and has a hook and pulley system on the back just like a real tow truck and it actually works. The truck makes sounds and you can open the doors and the hood to see the engine inside.

I’m glad to have this set in our collection and I recommend it to any child who loves trucks. So much fun.

Truck is great. We bought this for our grandsons 4 th birthday. He is very coordinated. However there are parts that require an adult to do. (Even my hands hurt turning the dial to flatten the bed.)

Bruder makes quality products and they have great imaginative toy value. My order on line came when indicated and my overall experience was great

I’m 80% done with this set, and its really great! It’s my first pneumatic set, so I’m really enjoying the new functions. Personally I wasn’t a huge fan of the look, but I do like it better in person.

I’ve also decided to not apply the more OTT stickers. Not to knock this set, but I do wish I could buy pneumatic parts or other sets on the store. I would def buy this set again.

This truck gives you a lot for the money. Tons of working functions and the pneumatics work great and are fun to play with. The non pneumatic functions seem tedious to play with in comparison, but they are still nice to have and add a lot.

It might seem like a lot of money for a toy truck, but the mechanical nature the of this truck, especially the pneumatics, makes it something really quite special. I’m really impressed with it as an adult and I’m sure my nephew will go nuts when he sees it! Easily one of the best products Lego has released in a long time.

I bought this set the day it came out and was very excited but around half way through the build I noticed one of the pneumatic functions wasn’t working and I narrowed the problem down to one of the pneumatic valves, it was a bit disappointing but I ordered a new piece from Lego with little hassle.

I kept on building and finished in about 7 hours. All of the other functions work well and the truck looks good and doesn’t have many gaps and I just got the replacement piece today and it thankfully works.

Overall the set was very good it’s packed with functions, looks good and is great value. I would recommend getting this set.

My son really like the truck, he loves to play with the truck and with the car attached. The car can move back and forward. The truck has sound that makes the game more realistic and fun. My kid used other brand cars to play with this toy pretending that they are all broken.

For me, the quality isn’t not great but looks like the kids doesn’t care about that. He loves his toy.

My son liked this tow truck and was entertained a few hours. It has a rolling wheel to pull the little yellow car into the tow truck. Unfortunately, the little hook that attaches the cord to the yellow car broke after a few hours after receiving it.

My son still plays with it but he’s not as excited as I thought he was going to be.

This is such a cool little gift ! It is a great stem toy for kids to figure out how to load and unload a vehicle !! It is made well and will definitely endure a kids rough play !! The colors are vivid which draws kids in !! I love the fact of the materials it is made from !! This brand is the best and I’d buy all the toys.

Purchased this hitch receiver for my 2021 Ram 1500 Bighorn with the Class III Bumper Hitch. I didn’t realize you needed a separate hitch receiver to make it functional. It was definitely a cost savings instead of purchasing the full trailer hitch unit.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a 1/2” hex driver to start the install, so I had to visit a local auto parts store. Installation was easy, took about 30 minutes, torqued the bottom bolts to the recommended ft lbs, but the top bolt (350 ft lbs) exceeded my torque wrench capability, so I cranked it as hard as I could with the leverage I had.

Overall, I’m really happy with the product.

Bought this hitch nervously as it was an “open box” all sales final product. Was marked as scratched and chipped. Showed up in two days in fresh packaging with all parts and pieces. Looks fresh as the day it was made.

No major scratches at all so it leads me to believe the standards are pretty high for this company. We were very very pleased.

Shipped quick, easy install. Had my 15 year old put it in and it took all of 15 mins. Only issue the top bolt requires a hex wrench that is bigger than anything in stores. I just used channel locks but it seemed odd.

This is a great hitch. I purchased it online to attach to my new Cub Cadet tractor to move a wood splitter around my property. It took approx. 30 minutes to attach to tractor. It bolts onto the existing trailer hitch hole on the tractor.

It comes with two sets of brace arms to fit different tractors. I didn’t have to drill any holes as the braces lined up with holes in back of the Cub Cadet tractor. The trickiest part is attaching the braces to the back of tractor.

If you hold the brace bolt with needle nose pliers, reach up under the back of the tractor and feed bolt outwards and connect brace with bolt on outside it is very doable. Note it requires a 3/4” ball shaft.

The only drawback is that it has to be taken off when you want to use your bagger on the Cub Cadet as the bagger has to attach into the hitch hole where the hitch is bolted. However this is not a big drawback as it is generally different seasons when moving woodsplitter or using grass/ leaf baggers.

Would be nice if the height had some type of adjustment, trailer sits at quite an angle. Installed on my JD S240 and had to customize the brackets a bit to make them fit. Just use it to transport my utility trailer from storage location to driveway.

If you want perfect fit this could be built at home if you have the equipment.

Works Better Than I Thought, I was concerned about it,s strength being made of aluminum. I rebuild boats and I am moving them all the time from the back where I park them to the front where work on them.

I am able to pull 1,000 lb Bass boat ( this is the heaviest one I am working on right now) on uneven surface with no issue using it. First I bought a MoJack Multi Use Hitch but realized the center of gravity was too low and would cause the front end of my John Deere L120 garden tractor to lift and cause a problem with steering.

I bought The Great Day Lawn-Pro Lawn Mower Hi-Hitch and installed it with a extremely small modification ( Drilled two holes to attach the support brackets. ). Even with the modification on my tractor It took less than 1/2 hour to install.

I can not recommend this product enough.

Installed the day it arrived! Instructions and parts were easy to sort out. Fits my F150 perfectly all holes and fasteners lined up. You’ll need someone to hold the hitch in place while you put the first two or three bolts into place.

to do it right you need a good torque wrench. Perfect DIY project!.

I installed this on a 2008 F150. Fit perfect. All 6 bolts lined up exactly with factory holes in truck’s framework. Easy install, half hour, just two wrenches. Matches perfectly with truck, setting just below the bumper.

Very well constructed, heavy duty. I think it would last the life of any truck.

Caught this on sale for a great price, well built and lined up perfectly. I installed by myself in about 20 minutes

The hitch sits about 2-3 inches below the bottom of the bumper. The side plates are just a tad too long, otherwise it fits directly on the bolt holes and isn’t too difficult to install. I recommend having a second person helping to install.

The instructions were so simple that I was worried about it. No need, was able to install the hitch in short order. Took longer to find and put back the tools I needed. Looks very strong and rugged.

Bolted up perfectly to my 1997 Ford F-150. Thought I was going to have to my trailer plug-in, but it fit.

Bought this for our 2014 Ford Edge. The first order was returned because the wrong hitch was sent. When we got what we expected to be a Reese hitch made in the USA, it said PRO series by Cequent Group.

Yes it is the same company that owns Reese hitch, but not what it says on the web site that is advertised. It is also clearly marked as being made in MEXICO. The hitch also was bent which my husband managed to straighten out so we could use it and not send back another hitch.

We put it on today and it fits fine and looks good. It appears to be a good product otherwise. I think it is a decent product for the money. But beware that if you are planning on getting a USA made Reese product, this is not it.

I haven’t looked to see how this pro series compares to Reese or other hitches, just wanted to get it on so I can carry the bikes to the park.

Does not fit an 07 Edge. Bolt pattern does not line up, drivers side is too long. I had to grind and cut 1/4 steel in order to even get it under the vehicle. Then holes didn’t line up. Had to drill new holes into the frame to get it mounted.

Buy another product and make sure you physically match it before installing. Do not modify unless you go all out. Also not a Reese!!.

After reviewing several hitches I was glad I decided on this particular one. The main support bar is hidden and it looks great.. Have already recommended this hitch too other edge owners…

This is a great gift for a new Lego duplo kid. My son is almost 2 and he can easily take it apart and build it on his own. He loves the hook feature of the truck. Goes around the house placing the hook on different places.

He was also very intrigued by the fact that on one side of the Lego is a girl and on the other side is a boy.
