It was helpful as a source of therapy but it didn’t last long before it stopped working. I purchased it in January 2020 and used from February through April and then again from November until December 12th.

Then it just stopped working. The lamp flickered and went out completely. I don’t think that I can repair it. So basically I got 5 months of use from it. Disappointing.

It’s too early to have a solid opinion ( just a few days). But at this point I can say I enjoy its use. The tone of the light is cheerful, and I enjoy it’s use. It knocks the cloudy blues out of my spot.

Long term I’ll get a better sense of its affect on SAD.

When it arrived, it was bigger than I thought. Which is great! It emits a lot of light and is very powerful. I enjoy using it when the sun isn’t coming out for the day. I will do yoga with it on, or meditate while listening to forest sounds.

If I close my eyes it feels like I’m outside in the sun. I love it!.

My friend lives in Alaska The weather in that area of the US has been very cloudy the last several months. So it’s difficult to get exposure to the sunlight when you have a busy schedule. You suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder.

If don’t get enough sunlight exposure You may feel very unhappy. I sent this as a gift to my friend , she is very happy of using this lamp. She says by using it reaction delayed and usually feel better the next day.

I I myself using this one and i am very pleased This may not be the same for others but i and my friend got best result from it. You may place the lamp on a table in front of the chair or sofa where You sitting or laying and make sure the table is close to you so the lamp light is about 2 feet from shoulders, neck and face, you may wear wear sunglasses if you feel the light is brigHt, also there are 2 lower settings you can set it.

The lamp has included a plastic extension to attach to the base to give it more stability. The lamp gets pretty warm after an hour usage so I let it cool off before I put it away. I feel this is a good product for the price and it has helped me and my friend I hope it would help you guys too.

I would give a plus to the slim, stylish design which gives it additional usage purposes as a desk lamp/backdrop light besides therapy lamp. It stands firm on my desk. The hinge is also very sturdy as you adjust the light up and down, and it can be pulled straight up to 180 degree.

If you sit in front of it, there is ample light to immerse yourself in. The light is more on the gentle side, not intense so it’s rather comfortable, just don’t look straight at it to avoid hurting your eyes.

Beyond the desk space, it does a decent job of illuminating my bedroom space which can lift up your mood on a dark day. I have not experience any mechanical issues with the lamp. The power plug does get very warm quickly, something to keep an eye on.

There is no battery involved.

I was experiencing dizzy spells and having a difficult time adjusting to the climate of the high-humidity/ rainfall area we moved to. I had heard of these lights and decided to give it a try. Within 2 or 3 days I noticed remarkable results! I put it off to one side, about 12 inches away, angled toward me, on the couch arm as I do my morning reading, check emails, etc.

About 30 minutes or so.

This item seems great so far. It is VERY bright, and may take some getting used to. Look and functionality is great. I like it much better than other happy lights I have seen. It feels reminiscent of a Kindle.

Easy to use, easy to assemble (the little kick stand that tilts it up). Quality. well, I haven’t used it for long so can’t speak to how it will hold up, but it seems a little cheaply made – just based on look and feel.

The stand seems like it will probably break if not treated with care. I’ll drop it or knock it off the end table at some point so we’ll find out.

I have been using the Happylight for 2 months or so, since mid-October, and it’s helped me transition into the winter. I use it every day or every second day, while I eat breakfast, and I’m also taking vitamin D supplements.

I think the combination has really helped prevent my usual slip into sluggishness in the winter. I work out every day and I have sustained energy and a more positive attitude. I also sleep well at night for a full 8 hours.

This is really a major improvement compared to my usual couch-potato self in the winter. Definitely recommend trying it!.

The Lucent ‘HappyLight’ is a powerful, LED light panel with light color temperatures engineered to simulate sunlight. We have been using the light panel – approximately the same size as an iPad – over the past couple of weeks.

We have noticed our moods to have improved, but also our energy levels. The panel is well worth the investment and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The instructions mention the ability to dim the panel, but this is not an option.

We have no complaints about the Lucent ‘Happy Light’ product and highly recommend it.

Owning a bearded dragon, I looked to the opinions of people who have successfully owned them for years. This is one of the three UVB lights they recommend and the best part is that it only needs to be changed ~every 6 months.

This helped in recovery from my previous beardie that had ended up with MBD (metabolic bone disease) from not having proper UVB and Calcium Powder. I’ve had my new beardie a year now with no signs of MBD.

Glad I didn’t listen to the store employees on getting Petco’s “Kit” that does NOT include the right lights for a bearded dragon to actually live.

Been using the brand uvb for years with great results. So many reptile bulbs are junk, this one is not. Please come up with better/smaller packaging for your tube lights though. I was surprised it didn’t break rattling around in a huge box with a small hard jar of supplement.

Great battery life. Really does a job getting all the aches out!

Very bad 90’s design! Especially the base and arm that the light box attaches to. Plastic and cheap. Curves and t akes up loads of space on my work top. Arrived used and base was missing parts, so I switched to regular monitor base which was an improvement! The lightbox itself works fine, super bright! Maybe my mood has improved, hard to tell.

I have been using this lamp for three weeks now. As a person with SAD, I wanted to get a jump start on the time change. I felt a remarkable difference in a matter of two-three days and continue to use the lamp every morning.

You just need to figure out where to place it for your individual needs. I am not an early riser, so I have it on my bedside table and read for 30 minutes while still in bed. I highly recommend it whether you have SAD or perhaps any sort of depression (like myself).

I spend most of my time inside in my office nook. I read about this type of light therapy and this particular light seemed to be a good buy. Ihave it set up next to my computer and it’s like sitting outside on a nice sunny day.

I’ve been using it for about a month and I think it may be having some positive effects: more energy, better mood, a sense of improving wellness.

After a few days, mine did not smell. I purchased this product quite some time ago and it still works like a charm. Very durable. This combined with all of the benefits of light therapy make this a good buy!.

Just a couple of fluourescent bulbs behind a bit of plastic. I have not used it enough to know if it works, but I get the sense of working beside a very bright window. The stand is as advertised and allows several positions.

Chewy does not specify the size of the bulb is T8. I should have looked closer or not bought this. T8 is the traditional standard size of lightbulb for reptile habitats but more recently T5 size fixtures are available online–I have a T5 fixture.

Zoo Med makes T5 lightbulbs and many online retailers carry the T5 and T8 bulbs. Chewy does not state which size they carry. I ordered this by mistake, thinking I had finally found the T5 size bulbs I wanted.

Wrong. If Chewy had put more of the import size details of the bulk in the item description. Sure, its my fault for buying before I was certain I had found the correct item, but it is also Chewy’s fault for not including the bulb size (not talking about length) when most other online retailers do include that detail.

I would not have ordered from Chewy at all if I had know this was coming. Extremely disappointing online shopping experience.

These have a long standing reputation for being the best bulbs for keeping reptiles from developing the horrific bone disease that come about when they UV is neglected. You don’t want to wait as you can’t fix it when it’s too late.

You also must change them every year as they no longer emit the right properties after a full year of use. It’s just part of keeping reptiles.

Ordered it a month ago and didn’t test it immediately since my current one hadn’t went out yet. Well now it’s a month later and I went to replace it and it doesn’t work, which really stinks because it’s hard enough to find this style of light as it is.

I suffer from severe depression all year round and this light has been a life-saver! I have tried many of the cheaper versions in the past, and the experience is incomparable! This cool design, great functionality and durability, combined result in a phenomenal treatment experience.

So glad I bought this lamp. I live in Chicago, where the winters get very dark. Not sure if it’s a magical cure for the blahs, but it adds a welcome light & warmth to my house. I like the shape and size — it’s sleek, well-designed and big enough to work while small enough to easily move around the house and place on my desk without taking too much space.

In my field, we work indoors 12hrs, from dawn to dusk. No sunlight. I’ve purchased several of these. They work as well as much more expensive ones (I have had some of those also. ) Lightweight, compact, easy to carry in backpack.

They have made more for sized or cannabis products and increased potency with UV flashers.

So far so good. Using it for a bloom closet 5×5. Red 99 white 80 blue 80. Because i’m using more red it’s not stretching as much as the other closet ( same type). And it’s ahead on the 8 wk harvest alot.

I’ll get another if this works as well as i think. i’m using the 315 cdm bulbs in my other closets and they are great for veg but not so great in bloom. Anyway these look like they are real deal. i held out on led’s because i didn’t think the technology was there but i think it’s getting there.

Plants are in heaven. Using the 1100uvb in a 5×5 tent and the coverage is more than adequate. The controller seems to be essential, although I have no comparison. If you have been on the fence about making this purchase.

Overall there usually pretty good lights it’s a hit or miss with any lights anymore. I wouldn’t say that they last any longer than the cheaper one so I would probably prefer something a little bit cheaper than this one because this is maybe one of the most expensive I found at my store at least.

If a cheaper one is at the same quality and stays around for longer then I’m going with that one. I get these for my bearded dragons I have two of them and usually they will both burn out around the same time unfortunately few days apart so you still have to go back to the pet store within that month yay me!! Please start making your lights a little bit longer lasting than 2 months people!! Hope this helps!.

Powersun lamp arrived in great condition and works as advertised. With the deep dome fixture and adjustable lamp stand it’s a great set up. Can’t beat the price for the lamp – saved $25 – $30 on that alone versus the brick and mortar pet stores.

I only buy these if they’re the only ones available. They get the job done in a pinch, but they tend to burn out quickly for no reason. I’ve also had problems with 2 of them randomly exploding right over top of my baby.

I bought the Zoo Med mini dome fixture and a separate Zoo Med 100 watt bulb at HERPS reptile convention for my bearded dragon that has worked great. Time came to upgrade his tank to a bigger size which meant additional heating.

I bought this combo pack since it was on sale and a great deal for a second heating lamp. The first one I purchased had a short in the power switch. I exchanged it for another which lasted 10 minutes before the bulb popped.

Other bearded dragon owners have always recommended Zoo Med T8 or T5 bulbs for UVB light but so far I have had 2 out of 3 Zoo Med heating lamps prove to be bad. Florescent lights by this brand may have great scope readings over all but they seem to make questionable heating lamps and fixtures.

I have two leopard geckos. Although some people believe they do not need UV exposure I disagree. In the wild leopard geckos do absorb some measure of UV rays. They do get a natural source of vitamin D from the calcium they get but also through the vitamin D absorption in their skin.

This mini combo is a great light for my 15 gallon tank. I bought two of these. They do give off some small amount of heat. But the heat is so small you can only measure it by a couple of degrees. It is a good kit and if you could get it for the price I did around $20 for both the fixture and the light bulb that’s pretty awesome.

Considering this item cost $40 or so retail. Zoo Med makes great products. I got mine from Josh’sFrogs on their eBay Marketplace. It’s actually more expensive on their website.

bulb broke first 72 hours of use first day ran it 24 hours second day worked and turned it off in the night turned the light back on in the 3rd day and it didn’t work , the lamp dome working still, I had a spare bulb of another type, in the next few days before I could send it out, my roomate dropped the bulb, and then when looked see if could order another I see I have pay 5.

99 shipping or spend up to 45 dollars to have shipping free. its not peco fault my roommate dropped the bulb after it was already broken, its Petco fault and the product for breaking in the first 3 days off use, I proubly used the bulb up to 36 hours first 36 hours then turned it off for 8 hours or 9 hours till woke.

this product I thought I read bulb would run 24 hours on daylight and heat light but also work in night which did for the first day and about half before third day.

Works great even when I switched out the bulb for a 100W because I have a 40 gallon tank. It warms up my baby bearded dragon’s basking spot perfectly. I’ll be switching back to the 75W bulb once it starts getting warmer during the summer.

I decided to buy the Reptisun UVB to see if it could be a cheaper alternative to Arcadia UVB tubes. While it produces the same amount of visual light the UV readings do not reach as deep as my preferred brand.

It is also recommended that these bulbs are replaced every six months while the other brand can produce d3 for a year. It does what it needs to do but I think I will stick my original brand.

These are never sold in store. If they are, the price is ridicules. Zoomed also went cheap on the conductors. They used to have a copper color but now its aluminum. If you buy online, chances are good you will get some broken ones until you get that one person that actually knows how to wrap the product.

So be prepared! If you can get your hands on Arcadia lights, those are 2% higher in UVB. So if you have a sick reptile with MBD I would recommend Arcadia.
