I was spending a lot of money to have my hair colored and highlighted only to have it fade and turn brassy in a week. Completely frustrated, I looked for an effective product to keep my color true. Even hats didn’t prevent the fading completely.

This works. I pair it with color conserve leave in treatment and my recent visit to the hairdresser is three weeks and lasting! I am in the sun daily with time playing tennis and gardening. I wear hats regularly too, but this product has been a game changer.

Bought this for my daughter to use to protect her color treated hair and keep her part from burning. She was under a cabana in the shade at the beach most of the day and out in the sun no more than an hour.

Sprayed this mostly on the top of her head since the rest was pulled back in a short pony tail. Her scalp still got burned. If it did not protect the scalp of her part for an hour I do not trust that it is doing anything for her hair either.

I noticed the description does not include an SPF. Bought this based on reviews that said it keeps your head from burning. It did not in our case. She did apply correctly as recommended. I guess we are back to putting regular sunscreen on her part which is really disappointing.

If this is just supposed to keep the hair from drying out and has no sun protection factor, I think there are better Aveda products for dry hair.

I can’t even use this product regularly because the scent is so strong. And it’s not even a nice scent. Do not spray this inside. Even with a mask on, it was so strong it bothered me inside and outside.

I love the idea of this since I work outside at a plant nursery in FLORIDA and I can tell it’s taking a toll on my hair. Humidity and UV. I don’t know how well this actually works because the scent is so harsh I don’t wear it.

Just tone it down 90% and it would be nice.

So I was hoping this product would give me a final glossy shine to my curls once they dried, however I cannot recommend this product for curly hair. The spray on it is so strong, blasting your hair with dry oil at this velocity just ruins the curl.

I think the thickening mousse is something that would be great on my roots. I’m using the BB Curl Defining Cream and it is wonderful and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all! But this jet spray ruined everything I was going for.

If you have fine or thin hair, this is the hair oil for you. It provides all the benefits of a hair oil without the greasiness or weighing down of your hair. Did I mention it smells fantastic? The price is a bit cringe-worthy, but a little goes a long way with this one, so one bottle can last you a long time! This oil is actually blend of 6 different oils, which are listed pretty high on the list.

Macadamia seed oil and argan oil are pretty popular oils you’ll see in hair products, and I’ve personally had great experience with coconut oil as well. Grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, and safflower seed oil are of the dryer oil types, making this great for fine hair folks as it won’t weigh your hair down.

It makes my hair nice and soft, but the labeling of the product is not clear enough about whether or not it provides UV filter, and which ingredient provides that protection. The English version of the label does not say anything about UV filter, but the text in other languages has “UV” there.

The website suggests it does, but doesn’t say specifically which ingredient provides that protection. I trust my hair only to sun-protection products that clearly state the UV protection. I wrote to Kerastase’s help function multiple times asking for information on this, and have never received a reply.

My scalp never burns when using this product but as someone with thin hair I have absolutely applied too much and had some greasy looking hair but that is 100% user error lol highly recommend! I’ve purchased many times from other retailers.

Since I never previously tried to use sunscreen spray on my scalp area, I can’t comment on whether it looks better than your average sunscreen spray used on the scalp. Before today. this would’ve been 5 stars. You do need to shake well before use because the blue and clear liquid need to be combined before spraying. I love the smell of this product-very beachy. & I actually did feel like it was protecting my hair from my flat iron.

However, I’ve recently gotten to the point where there’s about an inch or two of product left. At this point there is only clear liquid left, which I didn’t think would be a big deal. Oh was I wrong.

I sprayed this in my hair, getting ready for work and immediately noticed how GREASY my hair became. So apparently the clear liquid is just pure oil. I immediately made the executive decision to wear my hair up for the day, and now I have to add another hair wash day into my schedule-UGH.

I even had a backup of this in my cart but there’s just no way I’m gonna buy this again. It was good until it wasn’t. I like to be able to get a lot of use out of my products, especially when I can find better products at a cheaper price point.

Ok I’m torn with this because I love the ease of just spraying all over my scalp so I don’t get those annoying sunburns in my hair part, but it’s too greasy. I used it on clean hair and it instantly looked like 3rd or 4th day hair.

My hair is black for reference. If you’re going to be at like the beach or pool or something where you don’t care what your hair looks like, go for it! But it’s not good for daily use, which is what I bought it for.

It does have that classic Sun Bum smell which is always nice.

Not a fan. Description and other reviews indicated this product would not make hair appear greasy or otherwise interfere with regular styling. NOT the case at all. This leaves hair and scalp VERY greasy looking.

Does not maintain any sort of style. Just makes your hair look like you haven’t bathed in a month. Would not recommend.

I really liked using the product as it was great for Protecting my hair and had a refreshing smell to it and basically does everything it states. The only down side is it doesn’t come out as a mist or a generous spray , it comes out in a line so it’s quite tricky trying to cover all you hair without it targeting one area from the way it comes out.

Fantastic product! This is a wonderful leave-in conditioner. I use it after swimming, rather than a shampoo and conditioner, and my hair is soft and full of volume for days after. Believe me, it works, and talk about easy! Think what that means to holiday needs – less to pack, less to do.

I too am enjoying this product. I have super fine, straight hair that is color-treated. I use this product for shine. I like that this product gives shine AND doesn’t dry out my hair; With my super fine hair, I find that spraying this into my hands, and then rubbing it through my hair by hand, works better than spraying it directly onto my hair.

Spraying directly onto my hair can cause too much product to be in one spot, and thus be too heavy. Another alternative is to spray into the air and let it cascade down onto my hair. This product is slightly slippery though, so be careful if any gets on the floor.

Voile Protecteur also works great as a smooth-on product for ends alone. Also, I found that if I put too much on, I can use my hairdryer and it seems to dry a little of it up. This really is a useful, multifunction product.

This is an anti-humidity and anti-frizz savior. It helped protect my hair against lightening in the sun this summer. It is a light oil with glitter specks – so that’s why I wouldn’t review it for everyday use / I probably wouldn’t repurpose.

I liked how it protected my hair from the salt and chlorine and sun this summer – but it is a little too greasy and sparkling for the natural look I go for!.

I’ve used this color protector for years-ever since I started coloring my hair. It’s easy-just spray! And a bottle lasts a long time. I tried other color protectors but none do the job like Paul Mitchell does-truly locks it in!.

I have used Paul Mitchell color protect locking spray for years. It helps lock in color and protects against sun damage to my hair. I spend A lot of time around the pool in the summer. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on here tho.

Beware of imitations. Its best to order from the Paul Mitchell Store.

I used to use this on bi-weekly-bleached hair, daily in 2011, and it kept my hair super soft. After years of getting my hair back to virgin (no dying since 2012, shaved head in 2014), I finally took the plunge and got baby lights and balayage and remembered how much I loved this in my hair so I purchased again in 2020.

It continues to keep the bleached hair super soft. I use it after showering on damp hair or on next-day dry hair for a pick me up, or before I go outside for a day at the beach/outdoor activities. The quality has been consistent all these years and I highly recommend it on bleached hair.

The Good: I got to review quite a lot of products from this line over the last few months in large-ish sample sizes. I somehow acquired 2-3 minis of this and loved the product enough to purchase a full-size of this after I ran out.

I also want to point out this is the ONLY product from the invisible oil line that I felt was good enough for me to repurchase it. I’m extremely impressed with this primer, it’s more of a thicker and “milkier” formula in comparison to a misty dry-oil spray like most primers come in.

At first I thought I would hate it for that reason, but it’s actually fantastic! I have natural curly and fine hair that sometimes gets frizzy especially due to weather factors and oily consistencies in primers can oftentimes make my hair simply look oily and unwashed.

This is the perfect solution to this. I also love using this as primer under heat styling products, it doesn’t make my hair overly wet (unless I overdo it) and it’s easy to comb through. It doesn’t “sizzle” when damp under heat styling tools like many other water based primers tend to do and there’s no gross scent after the heat touches your hair with this on.

The overall scent on this product is very nice, vibrant and light. I had a former go-to primer but I tend to reach for this one more simply due to the fact that it doesn’t make my hair oily even if I accidentally over-do it (unlike the other primer).

This is the sample I ran out of first despite having multiples of it and truly the star of the invisible oil line from Bumble and Bumble. Skip the other products and try this one first. The Bad: The nozzle on this is subpar and can spray funky sometimes both in my regular size and the mini bottles.

For the price it sells for I believe the spray nozzle could and should be better. The Ugly/Honest: I think this product is a bit overpriced (as seems to be the theme in bumble and bumble products) however, it IS a good product.

I deducted one star due to the spray nozzle and high price point.

I’ve been using cheap heat protectants for years now, and I’ve noticed that all of the blowdrying and straightening I do has made my hair really dry with lots of breakage and flyaways. So I started looking for better, more expensive heat protectants, and this one came up in so many recommendations.

First of all, one thing that I noticed about this product is that it is much more fairly priced compared to others like it. While it’s expensive compared to drugstore products, compared to its other high-end brand competitors, such as the Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Blow Dry Primer (which goes for $37 for 5.

1oz) or the Oribe Balm D’or Heat Styling Shield (which is $45 for 3. 4oz), this is a steal at $29 for 8. 5oz. And the thing is, with this product, you really don’t need a lot. I have thick hair, and I probably use about 10 sprays before blowdrying, and less than that before straightening my hair, since I don’t want my hair to be too wet before straightening it.

After blowdrying, this spray leaves a lustrous sheen all over my hair, and tames any flyaways/breakage that I’d usually have without using the spray. My hair feels so soft after using it, and it also smells so good – it’s sweet but not cloying, like a light vanilla.

The scent also lasts for quite a while, which was a nice surprise! I also use this product before straightening my hair, but you can’t use too much before straightening, because it can make dry hair feel a bit tacky if you use a lot.

I just use around 7 to 8 sprays, and that’s good enough to leave my hair looking shiny and healthy with minimal flyaways, which is a miracle after straightening it at over 400 degrees Fahrenheit (which is what I have to do to get my thick hair to straighten).

Ultimately, if you’re looking to make the step up from drugstore heat protectants/primers to something a little more expensive but still affordable (which I strongly suggest you do), THIS is the product is that I’d suggest, for any and all hair types.

These products can be a bit on the pricier side, but a little goes a long way and the results speak for themselves.

We get enough damage from over styling so why allow the sun to damage out hair by drying it out? You should protect your hair from harming rays just as your skin. No-one says they seek dry and unmanageable hair.

If you seek and use my reminder the issue of dry damaged hair can become a issue of the past and this product does just that. The only reason it’s not 5 starts is the extra weight added but the cons are out weighed but the resolve the product gives with much needed protection.

I’m always on the lookout for good haircare products. My hair is thick, wiry, coarse and naturally dry because of its texture. I always dry and straighten it after washing so need to have good products.

At the moment Ive been using high street products but nice ones, plus hair prep before I dry which have been ok but not “wow”. Ive heard of this range so thought I’d give this set a go as its a great idea to have mini sizes to try instead of purchasing the full sized and discovering theyre no good for your needs.

What can I say? The shampoo is a dream! Only a tiny blob is needed for a rich soft lather and for the first time ever I didnt feel the need to lather up twice as my hair felt so clean with just one wash.

The conditioner again, only a small blob required, rinsed off and my hair felt just “different”, definitely more moisturised and a lot softer. The miracle worker for me though was the balm. A few spritzes of this onto towel dried hair, dried and straightened: what a difference! My hair is less “bulky”, no hairs sticking out as is usual, smooth, sleek and shiny, and my hair never shines usually! That balm is a miracle in a bottle! Ive deducted one star, not because of the performance of these products, because theyve worked wonders on my hair, but because there’s hardly any scent to any of the items and personally I do like to have a nice smell to my hair.

But that aside, my hair is clean, soft, shiny and marvellous so I think I will forego a scent in favour of great results which is what these products achieve.

I’ve got fine curly hair that’s easily weighed down by stylers, so I try to get as much hydration moisture in my shampoo/conditioner as I can. Then I don’t need to use as much styling product to lock out frizz.

The shampoo conditioner from the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil line are working very well for my hair – it feels soft, manageable, not weighed down at all. I do notice that my hair dries much faster than usual, which can actually be good for fine hair – stylers are more effective because not as much evaporates.

You do have to get your stylers on right away after you shower, though. I can tell these are exactly what my hair needed – lightweight moisture anti-frizz without any heaviness or oiliness. I just used a light leave-in spray a light air dry cream I am getting juicy ringlets now!! Super happy I got to try these.

i seriously don’t understand all the bad reviews. im perplexed. this smells so light and fresh (wish they had a perfume spray) and this comes from someone super sensitive. but this leaves my damaged hair so soft.

my hair is clean, but so so soft and shiny. i actually notice a difference. i go back and forth from oribe shine and this. my hair is fine but there’s a lot. my daughter has super thick thick hair that is very long (fine texture).

she doesn’t process her hair but has that long california hair. hers is naturally straight and her roots get oiler and greasier faster then mine but this does really well with her hair too. she loves it.

i buy the 8 oz bottles for myself since i switch back and forth with oribe but get the large 33 oz bottle for her. i wash mine every 3 days (sometimes 4 days if i add a little dry shampoo) she washes hers every other day.

highly recommend. the conditioner isn’t moisturizing enough for me. i love oribe gold lust and my daughter uses pureology conditioner. i also can’t do rich protein shampoos etc. olaplex wrecked my hair.

it’s super drying. this will not cause that at all.

Freshly blonded and off on holiday. I knew I had to care for my hair. I decided to use shampoo conditioner and conditioner spray from Care Sun. Now after the holiday I can say I am completely satisfied with the products.

They care and smell good my hair looks good. Absolutely recommendable.

I love the smell and the detangle effect, but not sure if it works to protect my hair as it still lightened in the sun. Perhaps it would have lightened more without, but difficult to tell. My hair is its natural chestnut brown but it definitely lightened during my holiday.

It does feel nice though.

I don’t use hair spray very often but I like this one. It keeps hair in its place without giving my hair that hard crunchy feeling. I like the sun protection because it is a extra layer of defense against brassiness.
