UV Light is bright, works best in darkened room. Picks up not just “organics”. found some clear spots other spots on tile left from paint work. Also found places where cats had tossed hair balls. had cleaned up but residual was visible with light.

Using it on home toilet is scary.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good of quality this item is for the price. Works well, made of metal–not a flimsy unit. Good purchase. Highly recommended.

It is lightweight, aluminum and appears to be reasonably durable. It does shine a bright UV light in the dark, but in a reasonably lit room it is hard to see it. So far, it appears to be a reasonably good value.

Standard small size mercury lamp with quartz envelope which emits UVC light which has germicidal properties, so it kills bacteria and destroys viruses. Works with the standard battery supply and lamp holder easily purchased for visible light fluorescent tubes and also the UVB lamps used to fir fluoresce to detect forged bank notes WARNING the radiation from the lamp can damage the skin and cause conjunctivitis if you look directly at the lamp for even a few seconds.

Need to use a shade so the UV only goes in the article to be sterilised Good value, and quick service. Recommend.

Supposed to be a 24 inch bulb acvording to the specs on the website. I received 9 inch bulbs.

This light does not show pet urine stains whatsoever. I walked right into a “wet spot” with my socks after having searched the area with the light. I’m not sure why they feel they can advertise it as doing something is doesn’t do.

It’ll sit in my junk drawer & possibly be used for a flashlight if the power goes out. , and that is all. Very disappointed. And who are these reviewers giving it 5 stars and saying it’s so great?.

I have a mate who lives near the Old Kent Road and the walls around his place used to be part of the Ffyffes banana depot. This lights up the scorpions that live on the walls. Also finding lots of deleted inscriptions in old books – so another use.

Good quality and useful size so dropped into backpack for trips out.

Very good quality and value. Used it just the once to check security markings on my motorcycle which it showed very clearly. Compact and lightweight. Batteries included which is an added bonus. All told a very good torch.

Love this Black light Flashlight. Needed one because we own cats that sometimes mark. Amazing how it highlights organic material. It is also strong enough to do the job well. I tried a small sized version that didn’t last.

So far, so good! It seems to be priced very well for a ‘black light’ type product. This is something which in my younger day had been far more expensive. To find it in a flashlight was kind of exciting.

Hotel rooms.

We are going to a hotel soon and will take light with us to see what we are missing. Have you ever wondered whats on those comforters. Ever wondered if they are really clean or holding something. not sure I want to know but will use.

It works grate in the house. Bright and does the job.

This light is brighter than i expected. Its extremely compact, easy to throw in a pocket and go. My only issue with the light is the on/off button. for me, i’m 30, its somewhat difficult to fully depress, especially one handed.

it requires a much harder push than any flashlight i’ve used before, and it also needs to pushed into a recessed part in the cap, which just makes it kinda awkward. but overall i think its a good light, and im not sure if it can be beat for the price.

The PX100, for me, is a new product from Coast. Previously, I purchased a Coast flashlight with LED and UV options for use in Costa Rica during night tours in the rain forest. I had purchased five (5) lights then gave them to the guides for future tours.

UV light was perfect for spotting scorpions on the jungle floor as they luminesce a green hue. Since purchasing the PX100, I have found numerous usages for the LED/UV light such as spotting puppy urine on carpets to ensure the carpets are clean.

The PX100 is slim and easy too handle. Nice product.

It’s may not be the fault of this product but when I compare the effectiveness of a UV fluorescent light that I have and this torch that I bought, there is a big difference in what you can see in a room at dark.

This torch emits lots of visible light that prevents you to see whatever you want to see on the surface. It may be related to specific wavelength or the coating on the glass elements but it would be much nicer if the torch didn’t emit any visible purple light.

PS: for scorpion chase it should do well. just not very good for urine spotting or dirt finding around.

I fell upon the Home of Poi website purely by chance when I was searching for a Blacklight for some of the Forensic work I do as a private investigator. Here in the UK these lights are a so expensive.

I couldn’t beleive my luck to find one at such a brilliant price. The light was delivered very quickly. Its dimensions are perfect to keep in my case or even in a pocket. and don’t let its small size fool you this is without doubt a superb bit of kit.

Believe me you’ll not find this quality at such a great price anywhere!!!!! So a little message for all PI’s. this light plus a Check Mate Kit is your first quality step to proving an infidelity case.

Great simple to use item and SO reasonably priced. I was initially going to bid on ebay (where similar items were selling for $20!) before I found Home of Poi. I’ve bought 2 and both were well- packed for posting and arrived in perfect condition.

A+++++ 🙂 PS – Strange as it may sound mine were bought to look for old pee stains thanks to my naughty cat so if anyone else’s pet is misbehaving out there and you can’t figure out where that pong is coming from exactly then this little gadget will come in very handy! :P.

Great handy sized pocket UV blacklight flashlight. Priced under $10. 00 it’s a value. The pros are it’s aluminum alloy construction, rubber gasket seal, end cap click on/off and three AAA batteries for longer run time.

What I’d prefer is a single diode lamp/bulb. I’m not certain if 9 LED lights is an advantage or not. I also know that there are 2 classes of UV light. 395nM and 365nM. From my research the 365nM UV light gives off a more “true” UV light and will perform better than the 395nM.

This packaging doesn’t specify which of the two UV class lights it is but I suspect it’s the 395nM. A fine UV light. Works well for pet urine and stains. I haven’t yet tried it for curing resin for windshield glass repair (which is why I bought it).

Although the packaging clearly states this light will cure resins. I will have a more expensive UV light on hand 365nM when I actually do use it for resin curing just in case. I will update the review at that time.

Also the bedbugs and scorpion spotting aspect of UV light was new information to me. Intruiging and useful I think. I would definitely want the right UV light for those jobs. I recommend this product.

Note: This Is A 365 nm (blue) UV-A Light NOT A 395 nm (violet) UV-A Light. Both 365 nm and 395 nm options are within the UV-A wavelength range. Generally speaking, UV-A lights are useful for creating and observing fluorescence effects, as well as for plastics and paint curing.

UV-A wavelengths are safer when compared to stronger UV-B and UV-C rays. What then, will a difference of 30 nm mean? The main difference is that the 395 nm LED emits much more visible light than the 365 nm LED.

The 395 nm LED emits a pronounced violet-colored light, while the 365 nm LED emits a dull, bluish-white light (the result of residual light energy that “tails” off into the visible spectrum). Both types emit in the UV-A wavelength range and are generally capable of producing “blacklight” or curing effects.

This does work as a UV light and will show detection dye however it is low intensity and a extremely short range and narrow beam making it hard to use in tight spaces under and around the engine bay.

You have to get the light extremely close to the parts you are examining to the point its almost impractical. I guess if you had a big leak it would show up more easily but not great in the nooks and crannies of an engine compartment.

I would think the UV lights used by professional AC techs are much stronger and intense, making seeing leaks more clearly. May be fine for other uses.

This light isn’t the brightest , but is fun to use. Shine it to see scorpions?? nope. Spider eyes show up, as well as missed spots while cleaning. I have to keep shaking it to become brighter. guessing the spring inside isn’t long enough to make full contact.

It’s a good buy for the money, compared to the rest though.

The title says it all: good for finding stains, but useless for testing sunglasses. I bought this specifically in order to test sunglasses for UV protection, but the wavelength is wrong for checking sunglasses.

The flashlight itself is well made- all metal construction and the light is bright- you can easily see stains and hidden dirt/spills/urine under the light.

Super bright black light, lightweight, easy to carry. Rugged case, should stand up to any abuse you could dish out. Highly pleased with this. Advantage is that it will make objects flouresce, even under bright, natural conditions.

No need to take the object to a dark room.

GwwpI love flashlights and pocket knives. I can’t stop buying them even though I have one of each that I carry from the time I get up until I go to bed. Recently I’ve had an automotive AC issue and a water pump leak.

I also bow hunt but don’t lose my animal so bad I have to search with a pen light. Nice idea though. It has to be pitch black dark for you to see the black light effect. Hunters would go back in the morning if it was that bad.

Shade tree mechanics? Forget it. It will light up coolant , yellow dish soap and a flourescent t shirt but not from across the street. A drop of blood in the woods? Ah yeah. It takes two 3 volt camera batteries which are worth more than the flash light.

I’ll probably leave this in my old van and pray the batteries aren’t dead when I overheat at night on the side of the road after hitting a deer while playing Dark Side of the Moon. It’ll come in handy along with the Chinese survival knife with a compass in the handle when I have to dress the deer, start a fire and try to catch a fish while I wait for a tow truck.

Take my advice. Don’t listen to me.

I’ve have cheap UV torches and this torch completely outshines them. It gives a better quality UV light and illumiates much more when examing the UV details on a banknote. The build of the torch is minimalist and sturdy.

I would describe it’s weight as medium, as it seems neither light or heavy. It feels good in the hand and is comfortable to hold like the size of a chunky marker pen. It takes lithium batteries which come supplied.

They are slightly more expensive to replace than AA batteries but well worth it. If you are looking for a quality product I would highly recommend this. It’s worth the price. The cheaper torches I’ve owned lack in construction quality but most importantly the light from the Inova X5 is far superior.

Iluminating more colours and a wider UV range. It’s very rugged and I hope to be using it for years. One is enough, and this is the one for me. It’s great to have a tool which offers visuals of another dimension.

My eldest bought me this Inova 5x, 28 years ago and I have carried it every day and use it everyday since he got it for me. Over the years Inova has sent me 3 cases. Which I finally had a leather guy make me a case about 10 years ago.

And Inova has also replaced the back end where the rubber button wore outStill works as good as the day I got it. Also have the Inova 5x uv flashlight.

Use: Charging fishing lures and identifying Uranium Glass. Very compact, great durability, and very well designed. Adjustable beam is still powerful enough for distance use. Highly recommend. Ordered on a Sunday and received that Wednesday.

Great for showing off the glow powders if they haven’t had a chance to charge.

I make drink 2 cups of coffee every day. About 3 weeks in, and I’ve used this little frother at least once every day. Five stars so far. First impressions: it’s made from high-quality materials and that is reflected in the heft.

It’s not too heavy to be unwieldy, but has a comfortable weight that speaks to quality. Very easy to use. It cleans up easily even when the milk sits overnight. A damp cloth is all it takes. The single-button controls took a whole day to memorize.

If you get more sleep than I do, you’ll probably learn it sooner. Helpful Tips: I’ve found a mix of whole milk and coffee creamer makes the ideal (for my taste) foam. When I use straight coffee creamer, perfectly respectable bubbles form.

However, add a splash of whole milk and the mystery of chemistry makes magic. Different brands of coffee creamer make different kinds of bubbles. In closing (3 weeks in): I cannot imagine my coffee routine without this super silent appliance.

It is so quiet that I can literally be holding a sleeping baby right next to it, and the baby doesn’t even stir.

This is a very special frother! I am amazing at the quality for the low price tag! I had a nepresso for 9yrs that finally stopped working but it was very frustrating a hit or miss! Meaning sometimes it worked other times it didn’t! The nepresso nonstick coating wore off first month I used it.

It was one of my gifts from an employer for Christmas. At the $100 price tag and it was a gift I put up with it. This frother is amazing, in many ways! Its reasonably priced with heft and excellent quality.

I get same constant results daily thick whipped anything in seconds. never disappoints. It is easy to clean and a nice large size so no spill overs and I never use the top. And it heats up perfectly! I was lucky, it ran one day lightening sale for only $22 on memorial day! Buy it don’t spend the money on a more expensive frother!.

Really not sure how I lived without this milk frother. It’s whisper quiet and functions beautifully, it always provides hot foamy milk. Cleaning is a breeze I generally add a tiny drop of dish soap and water and turn the machine back on to whip it up before finishing it off with a very soft bottle sponge.

I bought it to go with my coffee machine. It uses two pods to make a latte macchiato, so sometimes I just buy the espresso and use the frother and make my own milk foam at home. It saves a ton of money on pods too.

Coffee made with this frother are amazing, every single time. I’m so happy with this machine is seriously don’t want go back to life without it.

Bought this to spot stray arrows at outdoor archery range that get buried in grass. Tested it at night and it does show up the flourescent nocks of arrows quite clearly although not usable for this in bright sunlight.

Quite a small torch and not extremely powerful but does the job I bought it for. The smooth pull-push zooming facility is very handy and easy to use with one hand. Don’t like rear button switches because it needs two hands.

All torches seem to have them these days, god knows why. This one requires quite a big hard push to switch on with a further short push giving a sequence of dimmer or flashing light , both of which are quite useless to me.

Shows up all fluorescent treated surfaces quite clearly in subdued light and at night. Seems quite robustly made with nice finish and the use of a single standard AA battery is a plus. Bottom line – could be bigger and brighter and switch not great but overall good value for money.

Tough to write a product review when it’s difficult to test it’s long term durability. First impressions though are that it is good. Threads feel a little cheap for the lense (plastic), but the housing seems okay.

The button is a little finicky, but functions well so far.

Small, compact, lightweight metal bodied torch. AA battery powered. Decent light output, 3 settings – high, medium and strobe setting.

If your UV water treatment unit is beeping continuously, it means your lamp bulb needs to be replaced. This replacement bulb is a direct plug-in replacement for the OEM bulb supplied with the unit. The connector on the bulb end matches exactly with the wiring harness end from the wall mounted ballast.

It is quite easy to pull out the expired bulb and slide the new bulb into the glass chamber, although in my case it involved both arms reaching over the pump unit at shoulder height to guide the bulb in place and then hold the bulb to attach the wiring connector.

The bulb is well packaged for shipping, but still requires careful handling to unpack and get into the glass sleeve without over-stressing the glass envelope or the bulb itself. My first replacement bulb went into continuous alarm mode after approximately 6000 hours.

I believe the failure was due to a power system interruption, or a surge associated with the interruption. The system started up correctly as soon as the damaged bulb was replaced. Cost of the replacement was less than half of the similar OEM bulb.

I purchased two of these lights because of the price. They work in the Aquasana Sterilite UV filter. The first bulb lasted about 70 days before it burned out. I had replaced a LSE Lighting bulb that lasted the 365 days with no issues.

I have a message into the seller to see what they will replace the bulb. My rating will change if the bulb is not replaced.

Exact replacement. Great price. When comparing bulbs check the wattage. This one was the same as the original for half the price. There are a few bulbs out there that are a few dollars cheaper but are less wattage.

Super impressed with the biodegradable courier packaging! Super quick delivery. Torch is smaller than I thought it was going to be, but it will fit in a tackle box no problems.
