I bought the official Apple camera adapter because I had naively assumed this would guarantee compatibility with our iPad Pro. How foolish of me! Many of our peripherals will not work without the addition of other accessories, and none of our cameras were recognized until we updated the OS.

Sure, updating the OS isn’t a big deal, but it makes one wonder what would have happened if we had bought this thing when we first got the iPad and that update wasn’t even available yet? Just suffer that it can’t recognize common Nikon and Sony cameras? Our iPad is only a couple years old.

That covers the software issues, but let’s talk about the actual hardware for a moment. As you can see in the photo, the connecting cable is extremely short. This makes it nearly impossible to use without putting severe stress and strain on both the iPad’s lightning socket and on the wire.

This would no doubt cause one or the other (or both) to fail in a very short time if the user isn’t extremely careful with handling it. The only safe ways we’ve found to use it are to either leave the iPad sitting flat on a surface (which would cause trouble for anyone needing to use it on a stand, like when a musician is using it to connect a peripheral to a music app, a common reason to use this), or alternatively you can connect a USB extension cable to it so the force isn’t as sharp on it.

I cannot understand why Apple didn’t see this obvious problem that could easily be solved by making the cable just a few inches longer. Seems to me they WANT it to fail quickly so you’ll have to buy a new one.

Yet another shoddy product from an overvalued company who’s sole purpose seems to be creating products for the wannabe faux bourgeoisie to show off their petty wealth through conspicuous consumption.

It works, in a strictly electrical sense. However, if you have an iMac, expect to spend some time securing the adaptor andor connected FireWire cable to the stand by some means, to stop it falling out if brushed by a falling hair.

Apples Thunderbolt accesories and Apples iMacs are disfunctional together. The ports on an iMac are situated so that the weight of an Apple ThunderboltFireWire adpator, even without a FireWire cable plugged in, is problematic.

At very least, the cable part of the adaptor needs to be longer and more flexible, so that the socket part can rest on a table surface, reducing the strain on the tiny Thunderbolt connector. Here, a functional design fundamental has been compromised in the name of eyecatching, priceleveraging aesthetics.

Its increasingly part of the Apple way. As is the commitment to never admitting to any misjudgement or fault.

Noone was able to answer the question of whether this would work under Windows 8. 1 on an Asus laptop equipped with Thunderbolt but I was quite desperate for a superquick solution so I gave it a go. And it works flawlessly so far without any set up trouble.

I confess I hadnt read the description sufficiently to realise it was FW800 so I had to make an emergency last minute trip to Maplins to get a 800 to 400 cable another 20, but on setting it all up and attaching a Canon XHA1S video camera to it everything connected seamlessly and without any intervention or tweaking from me.

It just worked. For anyone interested I am capturing using Sony Vegas Pro 13. Next challenge is to see if it will capture for up to an hour without dropping frames. Fingers crossed. Im a professional videographer with fifteen years experience of flaky firewire connectivity so my hopes were not particularly high, however I am delighted that I can continue to use this old camera as a capture device.

Its sat in a box for two years and is probably unsellable now. In my case the adapter has already paid for itself as yesterday I was asked to supply a third camera for a product launch event in 36 hours time.

For a total outlay of fifty quid I am able to charge my client an additional amount many times more than my outlay. The alternative would have been to rent a third camera for several hundred, if I could get one at such short notice.

Next day delivery co Prime meant I ordered the adapter on the Friday afternoon and it arrived on the Saturday morning. Despite all the good news, its still rather expensive for what it is but thats Apple for ya, and thats why I dropped a star Recommended.

This 25-foot Outdoor Magnetic Charging Cable for my Arlo Ultra Security Cameras is a must have for me! I hate climbing a ladder to take down the camera to charge it every time the battery gets low. Where my Arlo Ultra is located there is no power outlet nearby, so this 25-foot magnetic charging cable is just what I need to keep the camera powered on constantly! The quality of the video appears a little better with it constantly plugged into power.

My only complaint is that I feel that it is way overpriced! Just wish it didn’t cost as much, or that they would go on sale periodically! It would be a 5-star review if it were not for the high price!.

Must have item for Arlo Camera’s in any location picking up traffic. Forget the solar panel if you want to use all the features of the camera that gets a lot of hits. Go right to this cable. Cable is long enough to reach almost any outdoor plug.

I ran this one from garage and snaked it through garage door insulation trim up to the camera. Zip tide the few feet extra I had. No more power issues! Do yourself a favor and go right to this solution.

One other note. Here in New England it gets too cold for the cameras to charge. They quit at about 29 degrees for charging. This power keeps them working even if they won’t charge. Think of the Arlo battery as backup power only and you will very satisfied as the Arlo solution becomes set it and forget it maintenance wise.

No worries about turning on all the features which makes Arlo the great product it is. You will be frustrated if you don’t implement this product.

Outdoor charging cable has made the use of our system so much easier. We have one camera mounted high, and it would be a huge pain to change the battery as often as required. This camera captures the most motion events of our entire system, and therefore uses way more power.

This cable eliminates the need for battery changes. Cable is well built and looks as if it will hold up well to the elements.

This is a battery for a Canon R5 camera. It is recognised by the camera no problem, the Canon original is 7. 2 V as is the Duracell but with a slightly higher capacity. Running both batteries I see no difference in performance,or operation.

It is well priced and I will get another battery as the camera is a hungry beast. Con’s. you dont get the battery tray, to cover the bottom of the battery and the terminals.

Advertised as equivalent to the Canon LP-E6NH battery. Works fine with my Canon R6 camera giving the full motor drive rate. So far so good at a fraction of the price. Hope it lasts.

Batteries have been used for several cycles each now and I believe them to be just as good as the Canon originals. I had 1697 shots off one and that included some video and WiFi transfer from my R5. Very pleased.

Excellent product easy to install. Good addition to the rest of the eufy products. The only issue I have and I don’t go for 5 stars is that the activity zones are not accurate, the camera activates with movement far our the activity zone.

added to Eufycam 2 pro system for added security already covered by a camera to view blindspot, has a small lamp built in and excellent picture quality if not mounted too far away, night vision good too, recommended ( excellent for a garden cam IMHO).

I bought the charger for my gopro batteries and it does the job well. The battery is a snug fit in the charger and the charging lights are accurate, when green the battery indicated 100% in the camera.

It only charges one battery at a time but I chage the other in the camera so for me it fine.

I recently purchased the Nikon Coolpix P900 but was disappointed that the battery had to be charged through the camera, I was on a 31-day road trip so stopped at Best Buy to see if there was a charger that would just charge the battery indecently from the camera.

I had already purchased a spare battery. None of the packaging showed the charger could be used for my camera; however, the salesperson was not deterred. He tried a few chargers until he ended up with this one that showed the battery was charging.

He further explained that when I used the replacement battery, since it didn’t say Nikon, to make sure I put it in the opposite way of the Nikon, otherwise I might think something was wrong and it had stopped working.

The charger works like a charm, and I couldn’t be happier. I was never without a charged battery during my entire trip. THANK YOU.

This charger works great! It fully charged my camera battery in record time. It’s the third type I’ve bought and the first one i finally like. Highly recommended. I used it on a recent trip to recharge my camera battery.

This is the first infrared camera I have used, so my comments are not intended to be a professional review. This amazing little gadget connects to a smartphone through the usb port (USB B, C or iOS) and works with a free app.

There are no ongoing charges or subscriptions, so the cost of ownership is limited to that of the camera and a mobile phone (monthly contract or pay as you go). The app is simple and the settings are relatively easy to understand, even with the very limited documentation provided.

It does occasionally lose the connection, but is generally stable. The imaging is good, with a focusable lens, and the scalable side-by-side imaging (using the mobile phone camera and infrared) helps to identify and pinpoint areas of interest.

Accuracy of temperature readings is initially good, but it seems to offset, once it has been running for ten minutes or so, so it cannot be relied on for accurate temperature measurement. Nevertheless, it does produce clear images of hot and cold, which can be easily interpreted and may help to identify faults in electrical systems, areas of damp or animals in dark conditions.

Temperatures can be shown in Fahrenheit, Celsius or Kelvin and, because the sensor reads only infrared, the subject does not require any illumination: it will produce the same image in daylight or total darkness.

There are multiple modes to choose from and a range of different palettes, to suit different subjects. The ability to highlight areas above, below or equal to a defined temperature allows easy identification of objects of interest and images can be stored, sent and further processed with other imaging software.

The camera comes with a custom shockproof and waterproof Otter box case, which slips easily into a pocket and keeps your camera safe. Although it’s not cheap (a few hundred Dollars or Pounds), the Thermal Compact Pro is remarkably versatile and much more accessible than high end devices and great starting point in the field of thermal imaging.

In my opinion, The only competing thermal camera with this one would be flir ones that cost 10,000$ This is the fast frame model, I get a very pleasantly smooth video image and a high resolution. This thermal camera has a shutter that clacks every 3 seconds and freezes the image for about half a second.

I dont like this feature but for the refresh rate and resolution of this unit. I dont care. Nothing beats it. I also made a modification to this unit, in that I added a TEC cooler to the back of the sensor area, and a extension wire to the lightning port.

I use this item on my desk when diagnosing electronics. the TEC cooler assembly helps cool the senor so it has less noise and you get a sharper image. If you have the time, do this modification. Excillent camera for the specs.

I dont know about the company seek, I like the name FLIR better, but seek gives me more frame rates and resolution.

Performance better than expected. Good value but there are a few design problems: the shell of the unit is held together by glue that fails when trying to gently focus the camera and the lightning plug is not as robust as the android micro usb style causing intermittent communication with iphone.

I own both types and it works better on iPhones than android devices but it is an amazing device hands down. My units have the 206×160 Thermal array – I consider this to be the minimum size people would want.

There are larger arrays like 320x 240 and FLIR has one thats 640×480! Seek is coming out with a usb-c model soon and I am skeptical as that connector in the past is well known for its problems. Thermal array size dictates the price of the unit.

I use mine for inspecting for water leaks and electronic shorts in circuits and any overloaded fuses or wiring and heat/ac leaks around doors and windows. The resolution is high enough not to need the visible light photo with infrared overlay at least for me anyway.

A few micro drops of gorilla glue on the external case seams now keeps the device from coming apart unexpectedly and the lightning connection I just have to live with. Check manufacturers website for compatible android devices if you decide android over iPhone as not all androiddevices are compatible.

Amazon Fire tablets are not compatible and running a Windows 10 tablet with an Intel processor maybe with android emulator and suitable connection adapter. However, using the iPhone model with an iPhone 6 or higher is amazing if you can live with the drain on your phone battery as these units are powered through the connector.

All in all – amazing! I would recommend it.

I bought this dual USB-C 40W power adapter because of it’s compactness and ability to allow a charging station for two devices. The adapter plugs into the outlet and it’s compactness does not block the other receptacle of the outlet.

The 40W power rating allows fast charging for two iPhones, or one iPhone and an iPad. The iPhone uses a USB-C to Lightning charging cable. When connected to a 20W power adapter the iPhone can charge from 0 to 50 percent in half an hour.

This Anker power adapter allows two iPhones to accomplish that at one charging station in a compact form. It would be nicer at a little lower price point, but still a good buy. Overall, excellent!.

Awesome charger block/brick. Bought for my wife and she absolutely loves it. It charges very fast and gets her phone and/or tablet battery back up to full capacity in no time (compared to all the other charging bricks we have used).

Only down side is that we of course had to buy another charging cable for her because this charging brick only accepts USB-C type inputs, and all of her cables were USB-A type inputs. So that meant buying new charging cables, which was it too bad it needed to be done anyway but that just meant that new cables were needed before being able to use this charging brick/block.

But in buying the new cable, it helps in lowering the charging time and speeding up the charging process. Would be nice to see a package deal or combo deal offered to help buyers ensure that they get the proper cable to take advantage of the excellent charging times and fast charging speed of this new charger.

I recently purchased a new Apple Watch series 7. Include with the watch the charge cable but no power brick. That charge cable is a USB-C. What I didn’t own was a USB-C power brick I could dedicate to the watch.

I purchased this one because of the duel output, knowing that when I upgrade my cell phone it will include a USB-C cable as well. Anker makes great products and every time I’ve had to work with her customer support, they’ve been fantastic.

The watch battery isn’t very large and this charges it in a flash. Well built from a great company. Would definitely recommend.

I got this for clearance price for cheap. I use it to charge my TG-6 batteries and it works wonderfully. I do have other chargers but this will help in charging quickly. The camera can also charge through a cable.

The Best Buy sales assoc. recommended the right battery charger for the wrong spare battery for a new camera I purchased all at the same time. I always keep a spare charged battery on hand just in case the primary battery (that comes with the camera) fails or runs down in the middle of taking large blocks of pictures.

Had to return a few weeks later (once I opened the new camera and accessories and realized the mistake) and exchange the wrong battery for the correct battery. At the same time, I did not want the battery charger (which would then be the wrong charger for the correct battery).

Had to accept a store credit (approx $40) instead of getting my money back. What a waste of time. I can never get that part of my life back. Do NOT trust the BB sales assoc.

So I’ve had my iPhone 11 ever since it came out and I noticed that it would not hold as much charge as it used to. Upon checking my battery life, I saw that it was at 81%. Instead of spend the money and time getting the battery swapped or buying a new phone for that matter, I figured if I could charge the phone faster, it would not be an issue for me.

I have been a fan of the Anker line of products for a while now (both phone and laptop) so this was a no-brainer. I was absolutely amazed at how fast this actual charges! If I had known, I would have purchased this sooner.

I am so disappointed in this product!!! I’ve been using this cord (on and off) for my Nikon d7100 the past few months and I’m ready to rip my hair out. I’m lucky if it works at all when I’m shooting.

I bought every accessory that is supposed to keep this cord in place with no luck. It’s actually embarrassing because I will be with a client shooting, then it disconnects. I have to wait several minutes for it to decide to reconnect (if it does at all) all while my client is standing there looking at wondering what is going on.

It makes me look like I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. I wanted a fast transfer to lightroom. This slows me down dramatically. It’s garbage.

I ordered and returned this cable because it did not fit the port correctly. The OEM Nikon cable “snaps” into the port and fits tightly without falling out. This cable does not correctly fit the port which means that it will not create a connection unless you press the cable in manually and hold it at a certain orientation.

It also falls out of the camera very easily. I ordered another cable and can confirm this issue is replicated with that one too. Since then, I have seen reviews on other sites that list these issues for a multitude of other Nikon camera models.

Unfortunately I will have to send that cable back too.

I was sick of my kids fighting over chargers for their iPads so I bought the Rockstar. It is super easy to use (plug in and its ready) and has a really long cord, which when combined with long charge cables means the kids have plenty of space to charge.

I could’ve saved a few bucks on this cable certainly as B&H has plenty of lower cost options. But I’m a product photographer who does model shoots and this cord is a lifeline to the laptop where my client reviews the shots live during a shoot.

It is a cable that literally cannot fail as my living depends upon it. The Tether Tools TetherPro is very well made and designed to take all of the abuse that I can dish out during all-day model and product shoots and is worth every penny of its cost.

So many things can go wrong while out on a shoot and the best pros take steps to eliminate as many issues as they can. Taking your tethering cables up to pro level can only help eliminate another weak link in you set.

This changed the way I work for the better! I can photograph and cull at the same time thanks to this! I make minor adjustments while shooting because I can view the images right away and this saves me a ton of time in the post processing work.

The orange is great for safety and the length is perfect for working in a larger space.
