It does what it sets out to do. When comparing this adapter to those of other makers (Samsung, Google, etc), you can see the real comparison. The short cable is thinner between the two connectors, which may cause increased wearing over time.

Even if the conductors inside are similar, the outer case is what takes a majority of the abuse. Bending, pulling, etc. If this adapter is going to sit on your desk or workspace, it’ll be more than enough.

If you are using this on the go, or in conjunction with a Square reader for instance, pay extra mind to the cable.

I bought this USB-C to 3. 5mm Adapter a week ago and I was satisfied with the performance of the adapter. Worked wonderfully with an iPad Pro I borrowed for a little bit and found it able to output high volumes on regular earbuds, with the volume slider somewhere in the middle.

Pretty much on par with the Lightning equivalent adapter that apple sells. Build quality is the same as the Lightning counterpart so no complaints there. However, the story somewhat changes when you use this on Android devices.

It’s still a really good adapter, however don’t expect to get the volume too high, even with the slider maxxed out. Even with regular earbuds, I found that I had to crank the slider up to get relatively the same volume as the iPad, so much so that I had to go past the device’s volume slider warning about loud sounds.

Using this in my car’s aux cord, I found that I maxxed out both the radio and slider and it wasn’t loud enough, as in that you can still hear the road noise over your own music. Doing a bit of research, it does seem to be a universal issue with this adapter and Android devices, as the software in Android is not able to communicate with the adapter to output higher voltage to further increase the volume.

In short, I recommend these if you are in the Apple Ecosystem as these will function wonderfully and pretty much will beat out Google’s and Samsung’s adapters, as some tests can be found on sounds quality comparison’s through Google.

If you plan on using these for Android’s, I wouldn’t 100% recommend these as the volume doesn’t get loud enough. That being said, these are still usable as an adapter, but they aren’t for me and I will most likely be exchanging these for Samsung’s adapter as they are the next best thing from the sound quality comparison’s I mentioned earlier.

I bought this to use with a pair of wired earbuds I use occasionally for conversations. Over the past few years headphone jacks have disappeared and using an adaptor has been the only solution. Many “bargain” adaptors do not work or stop working (I have two of these), I would recommend sticking with a trusted brand like Apple or Samsung to deliver a quality item that works as designed.

Only downside is that the earbud features do not work as they would with a physical headphone jack so no volume, pause/mute, answer/hang up responses through the type C port.

Bought this in a pinch for my iPad. Later bought the Apple one once back in stock. Apple device far superior. Overall: Built well, sounds good. The details: (with iPad) It will highjack your device microphone, deactivating it and not allowing you to use good over-ear headphones and speak during a call or gaming.

You must use headphones with its own microphone. Essentially the Google 3. 5mm adapter notifies your device that a microphone is plugged in regardless if there is one or not, Its not “Smart”. Your device will deactivate its onboard microphone when the adapter is plugged in, so unless your headphones have a mic your screwed during a call or gaming.

The Apple USB-C to 3. 5mm jack adapter is “Smart” and lets your device know what is plugged in: headphones with mic, mic, or headphones without mic. This way you can make calls or game while using big mic-less over-ear headphones and still communicate with the device’s on-board mic.

Or if you are a music producer and need to monitor audio while speaking with onboard mic, you cannot. The Apple adapter is waaay better. Also if you google the two adapter’s head-to-head VS. You’ll find some hard-core audio files who scientifically tested their performance and the Apple one kicks the Google ones butt.

Lower noise floor etc. This adapter is also much larger than the Apple branded. I recommend the Apple adapter if you care about audio quality, communicating while using mic-less headphones, and if you are a gamer, Also, strangely, Apples lower price point makes it more affordable.

The price fact alone is shocking, given Apple is always more expensive. Hilarious.

I have an older model car that doesn’t have Bluetooth for audio so I’ve been using the audio port to play music. It worked, but didn’t give the best sound and the volume was low. I recently upgraded to a new phone without a headphone jack so I had to buy this adapter.

The sound comes through so much better using this adapter. The volume is higher at a low setting, the bass and treble come through. It’s an overall better experience and a huge upgrade at a small price point.

I just purchased my wife the new iPad Air (M-1 chip) which does not have a headphone jack (i. e. 3. 5 mm female) on the device. Here is where this great adapter comes in. Simply plug the male part of this adapter into the iPad (USB-C) and then the headphones into the female 3.

Purchased this for my S20FE phone and Thinkpad laptop. This dongle has measured almost the same with Apple dongle in AudioScienceReview, and both are considered to be USB C audio dongles with probably the best performance/price ratio.

I used it with my HD6xx and I’m actually surprised by the sound quality from this little dongle. I do have a dedicated amp+dac setup (JDS Labs Atom+) for my desktop. The Atom+ definitely sounds better than the dongle, but not really like a-mile better.

I usually just need some background music when I listen from my phone or laptop, so the sound from dongle is good enough for me for this purpose. I did purchased some cheap no-name USB C dongle from Amazon before this, at least the Samsung dongle blow these away and not being too much more expensive.

5 stars for the dongle. But if I could, I would give negative points for the shipping. Samsung is using Fedex by default and I didn’t find any option to change it. It was horrible. The parcel was dispatched 20km away from my location.

Fedex shipped it 10km toward my address on day 1, then on day 2 they sent it 1500 km away by “mis-sorting”. The Fedex customer support is extremely hard to reach as their AI system leads to the most ridiculous auto-reply loop I’ve ever experienced.

I really wish Samsung can change the shipping agency or at least give us option. I never really had good experience with Fedex and this just added up another bad experience for it again.

Product works soso but what im more mad about is the removal of the headphone jack and I just can’t wrap my head around it. When I bought the s21 fe I was disappointed that there is no headphone jack so now I gotta go out of my way and buy something that should’ve been in the phone in the first place.

Just why samsung? You clowned apple for removing it and now you removed it as well for some reason? I don’t understand why we need to remove audio Jacks from phones. It’s not like I look at my phone and go man I wish that headphone jack wasn’t on my phone because it gets in the way.

They barely cost anything to make it and im an audiophile. Bluetooth gadgets are cool and all but I want to plug in my expensive pair of headphones directly into my phone, I want to plug my av receiver for my surround sound system directly to my phone, I want to plug my car stereo system directly to my phone where it belongs samsung, not some cringe adapter that should of been in the box by the way.

Removing the audio jack is like removing shrader valves from an automobiles rims to put air in the tires, so now you gotta go out of your way and get a special adapter just to put air in the tires is just plain stupid and unnecessary.

Long story short these drive Sennheiser HD 600’s with reasonable oomph! I am A S22 Ultra user I hate bluetooth for serious music listening, this interface is actually quite good as in very good! I have seriously good dacs aplenty and audio interfaces that are serious pro gear and this little cable stands up to the task of getting music into my ear holes against my other equipment! Other strange use cases with a USB A to C you can use these on a regular computer as headset adaptor.

Or you could use a USB Micro To C and use it as a analog audio out for a Raspberry pi 0 W or the USB A to C for a Raspberry pi 4b and if your wired headset has a microphone you can use for voice input or zoom calls.

One of the use everyday setup I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 8gig with a USB SSD running as a server and using a Pi Zero W with one of these as a super HiFi streaming setup! Just think of it as a Quality USB Sound card with a mono input!.

When I Initially purchased my Samsung Galaxy NoteS20 Ultra, I in my excitement(also heartbreak for my wallet) I failed to realize or simply wasn’t paying attention that the phone didn’t have a 3. 5mm Aux port, So when I mentally Registered this need to know knowledge at the Last moment before finalizing my Purchase, I snagged this up to add in.

Yes, I knew I would’ve been able to purchase this adapter at Walmart or another Retail of similarity for $5 or less, I still put up the $ 12 for Samsung’s namebrand version. I didn’t think much of this adapter until I had forgot This at home, which resulted in purchasing a ONN brand adapter for $4 give or take via WalMart.

Normally I’m the person who preaches that major Name Brand & off Brand have No difference. 100%, Samsung’s adapter MollyWapp’s the off brand all day Long in Quality. I say this due To the immediate noticeable difference in sound Quality and Base Volume Output.

The Off brand was not at all Horrible by any means as I own multiple for back up’s( Incidentally kept misplacing adapters When needing them, Pick up replacement then find said missing item after the fact) But After using the Samsung at Start Off, I was able to notice that their Adapter has visible higher base Volume Output and the base out put for Pitch is noticeably more Profound and Leveled.

Don’t get Me wrong, I’m not at all knocking the offbrand/Lesser known brand adapter’s but in Quality means, The Samsung adapter has better base Output and has Evident better Durability as the cording Link between USB-C & 3.

While this seems like a simple adapter of sorts, not many people are aware that it also serves as a DAC (digital to analog signal convertor). DACs are used to decode digital files from, most likely in this case, your phone’s storage, into audible music that plays through your earbuds or headphones.

The higher the bitrate of the file and the ability of your DAC to read and convert that file result in the quality of the audio produced. This inexpensive dongle adapter serves as a 24-bit converter, which is actually quite good for such a small inconspicuous little device.

So, while it is inconvenient that the modern smart phone is abandoning 3. 5mm jacks, at least the adapters we now must rely on for connecting serves another purpose, which is making sure that your music files (as long as they are of a good quality themselves) sound good.

While it’s not the most powerful device out there and won’t power high impedance audiophile headphones well, it manages to serve it’s purpose and it meets the needs of most. I for one find that it translates my music files into some pretty good quality music through my Tin T2 IEMs, albeit not as well as most dedicated devices built to serve the same purpose.

Can’t ask for much more from this little thing at this price!.

I only wish I could write a book about this 3. 5mm Headphone Jack for all the readers here. How do I start to sing the praises of this 3. 5 piece of wire with two clips on it. First, the box opened flawlessly without any danger of opening it the wrong way.

Did not need to read the directions on how to open the package. Then the shear whiteness of the 3. 5 mm unit itself. How did they pick that color? Genius comes to mind. Why not black, green, yellow, pink, salmon, lime green? No white- the perfect color choice for this piece of wire.

Again, some genius picked it out. Wow. Marketing and design genius. Then we move onto the unit itself. Kinda like a thermos bottle. How does it know? The fact that you can now listen to your headphones via a wire? Are you kidding me? Wow.

And slick the way the male ends slip so nicely into their female counterparts. No need for instructions here. Brilliant. If you are still reading- have you not left the house for BB yet to make your $9 purchase of this 3.

5mm hunk of wire? Run do not walk the the nearest BB to get this unit.

Do you have a $200 pair of IEM’s that you desperately want to take on the go? Look a lot further! Sure this might work for someone with literally the cheapest pair of headphones imaginable, but im sure it would make even those sound worse.

Upon putting a couple of FLACs on my phone, I tried these babies out. At first, I played a song that is very dear to me that I’ve heard a million times. Cranked the volume and hit play, it sounded very tinny.

Then I tried another song with a lot more Bass since it sounded like there were issued in the treble, and heard scratching noises throughout, as if it were recorded from a very bad vinyl recording. So I paused the song and went to go find answers online.

Then I realized, I can literally hear the adapter hiss at a high pitch!! I don’t know if mine has something wrong with it specifically, or if I just have a defective one, but I’m not going to go out and purchase another and be out another $7.

To anyone reading this, go buy a slightly more expensive one with a proven track record if you have any intention to do any serious listening at all. I know quite a few companies in the Chifi scene are making them with actually good components for under $30 that will actually bring your listening experience up to the level of a dedicated audio playing device.

I only bought it because I was grabbing some RCA cables and saw this on the shelf. Save yourself the hassle of either getting a terrible product or winning the build-quality lottery and don’t buy this trashcan filler.

I went through three of these adapters. First one didn’t work at all. My phone registered it as an incompatible charger. Second one worked fine for a week, then started randomly dropping audio. Even though music was still playing, I couldn’t hear anything and the only way to get it back was to unplug the adapter and plug it back in.

The biggest problem with this is that I only use this adapter to listen to music in earbuds while I sleep. When the audio suddenly cuts out, I would wake up. So I exchanged it again for a third one and this one worked for a couple weeks just fine so I thought I was in the clear.

Nope. Now THIS one started dropping audio last night. Guess you get what you pay for.

Exactly what I needed! This little adapter saves my sanity! My son is able to use my really good old school headphones with my iPad and my iPhone to do his remote meetings and just watch his favorite YouTube videos.

Works great! I don’t know why but sounds are so distracting to me lately. With everyone home, it’s hard to get my work done. I use this adapter to plug in my headphones and it’s like I’m not even home.

I can zone out and actually get things done without any distractions. It’s great for my PayPal adapter too! Our movie projector, all kinds of other purposes! It is great not to be limited to only what is in my phone and iPad anymore.

Of course, I can buy everything to use with the Bluetooth feature but, we all know how that goes. It doesn’t always work! I’m so happy to have this. It’s reliable and in my opinion, the sound is always better when things are plugged in.

This unit works well, allowing use of a headphone stereo plug while charging an iPad. There is one small issue I noticed worth a comment. If used with the original Apple power supply, the unit works properly and allows for charging of the iPad through the unit.

However, if used with a generic power supply, especially one with a lower power, the unit does not charge the iPad. This may be why some reviewers say the unit doesn’t work. It appears to need either a higher power supply current (like from an 18 watt Apple charger) or perhaps there is some special protocol required of the power supply.

So, just to summarize, it works as advertised with the original Apple charger, but not with other, lower power chargers.

Was finicky after using it for the first week. It charges fine, but I noticed the 3. 5mm headphone jack wouldn’t work at odd times. It would take unplugging the USB-C cord from the phone and plugging back in to fix the issue, usually once or twice a week.

I bought this solely for listening to headphones while charging so I dealt with the annoyance for the time being but it soon became clear the poor build quality would affect the lifetime of the adapter.

A month later and now the headphone jack is 100% dead. Normal usage. Charging at night while keeping a dedicated set of earbuds plugged into the adapter. Do yourself a favor and avoid this to avoid wasting your time and money.

I had such high hopes for this device. I was hoping to be able to charge and listen to audio at the same time. The audio part is fine. However, the charging port did not work from the get go. I thought this might be due to the fact that I was connected to audio at the same time.

However, after disconnecting the audio, the charging port still would not work. Just to be sure, I disconnected from the adapter altogether and connected my phone directly to the power source and it charged just fine.

The Bestbuy rep offered to exchange it for a new one, but I refused. Hard to have any more confidence in the quality of a device when one failed like this on arrival.

Quality is great. Description doesn’t have enough detail. I was hoping it would work for a gaming headset with a microphone; it didn’t. Works well for standard headphones with a 3.5mm jack.

It was compatible with my Samsung S20, but it would not fast charge. Battery was at 85% and it said it would take 5 hrs. to charge. Plugged in the charging cord directly and it predicted 35 minutes.

I hadn’t realised that the new tablet that I recently purchased didn’t have an aux port (better research next time!). Happily this supplier had the accessory that I needed, as I like to use wired headphones.

Upgraded my phone and no headphone jack, tried my mates usb3 converter with my headphones and it was great. Got this and the sound it terrible! Totally useless, steer clear.

I always wanted these ear buds and was excited to use this discount that was offered. I really appreciated the tracking number that was provided with my order. The placement of my order to the delivery was quick and easy.

I like the sound quality of the ear buds because they have 4 different type of music styles to choose from. The fit of earbuds is a little concerning because they will fall out and I have to rejust the earbuds so that they will stay in my ears I’m afraid that if they fall out of my ears.

I have to watch were they fall and run over by a vehicle. The fit of earbuds in ear is a little bothersome because it will irritate the ears if left in for a long period of time. The call quality of earbuds picks up all back ground noise and it’s hard for the person on the other end to hear what the person is saying.

The keyboard I got does not lay flat and so it bounces. I put a pad (like an enormous mouse pad) under it to stop the noise but the keyboard still bounces when I type. The right spacebar also now squeaks.

While it is comfortable I am certain I’ll be replacing this in a few months.

A lot of great quality of life features. Solidly built, very good sound and noise cancelation. My only complaint is that the fit is a little lose when lying down.

Using with a Chromebook that does not have a 3. 5mm headphone jack and is equipped with only USB-C I/O. The experience is very much plug and play. The Chromebook does not appear to recognize anything when the actual adapter is plugged in (i.

e. there are no notifications and audio still comes through the device speakers). Once a 3. 5mm jack is actually plugged into the adapter, audio output transfers to the headphones and the built-in Chromebook speakers go silent.

A specific output does not need to be manually selected, at least in my experience with a Chromebook running Chrome OS build 93. 0. 4577. 95. On a quick side note, packaged with the adapter is a tiny booklet containing all the legal and safety information for this product.

Good Quality Chord. I had the best Tech Guys trouble shooting why my I could not enhance volume through making phone calls using a JBL CHARGE 4 speaker with a 3. 5mm to USB-C Chord. So, no luck with T-Mobile.

A Best Buy Associate in the Cell Phone Department assisted me. He told me to purchase another 3. 5mm to USB-C Chord with Best Buy. It certainly did the trick. Thankyou Terry for your best efforts in assisting me.

Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with this product. The sound quality is lost through this product. You can’t hear anything even without volume on high. People can barely hear me on a phone call.

Using with a Samsung S21+ and my old iPhone headphones. So disappointed.

I bought these from Miranda store 2 months ago, and the sound has almost completely gone. Perfectly good Pixel phone new, and these gave up after 2 months, was told they are fine as adaptor with Samsung.

Doubt I will get anything back.

Easily the worst apple product i’ve owned, and only reminds me why i’ve slowly swapped out apple wherever i can. Only owned these for a few months and they’re basically unusable. Connection is loose on both ends and no longer stays in.

As a result sound is very sensitive and will often disconnect or lose parts of frequency (i. e. go muffled). i’ve used these very infrequently as they’re just my backup in my gym bag, yet even with such little use are now useless.

If i’d kept my receipt this would be getting returned immediately and i’m ashamed that OW sells these at all.

In the first few days since purchase, the adapter began to abruptly pause audio until jiggled, unplugged and re-plugged, or prayed over. This was annoying but manageable. One month after purchase it has stopped working altogether, starting with an immense decline in audio volume and ending in complete silence.

I would not recommend this product, especially for the higher than average asking price.

I originally had a Samsung USB to aux cable that I use in my car, but it was too thin and got a short within 3 months use. The cord on the Ativa is much thicker and feels more sturdy than the Samsung cord.

Also audio has a better quality coming from these.

Excellent quality cable. Works with any USB-C device that outputs audio. Very solid! I use for a 2020 iPad Pro 13?with my headphones that have a 3. 5 mm input. Bluetooth has latency issues at times when using audio and video production apps.

So this was super easy to use and worked great on my phone (a Google Pixel 6 Pro) to my car radio. You just plug in one end to an aux input and the other end to the phones charger port. Viola! Instant connection.

I haven’t been able to get it to work on my husband’s phone, though. He has a Samsung G6+.

Unit does not fit OSMO Action Cam without modifications to camera and possibly Adapter. Unit includes no installation instructions and will not plug into the camera with out removing side door. Furthermore it does not seat firmly and a video on youtube recommends using a utility knife to shave some plastic off?????? I do hope they come out with another adapter that does not require modifying the camera.

The mic add on works great !! I have an attached Rode Video Mic Pro and the sound recorded is outstanding. On a side note, the box holding the accessory looks almost like a ring box you might receive at a jewelry store.

Does it work? Yes. Will you actually use it? Probably not. The design is terrible. It (obviously) sticks straight down out from the USB C port, which means that you really cant keep it attached without risking damage.

I take my Osmo Pocket on backpacking trips and hikes, and just found it way too inconvenient to have to fiddle around with this adapter every time I wanted to use it. They should have designed it so that there was a 90 degree angle after the USB connection point so that the 3.

5mm plug would go in from the side. Ive seen another aftermarket adapter that goes from USB C to a 90 degree angle with about a 3 cable that leads to a female 3. 5mm plug. Seems logical. Seems like something you can leave attached and just toss it into your pocket (with the right polarpro accessories).

But this design is horrible. Oh, and since I ended up leaving the audio adapter in my pocket most of the time, I managed to lose it last weekend. Less than 3 days from receiving it. The most expensive, useless adapter imaginable.

Its better than NOT having one if you are using it in situations where good audio is critical. Ill leave it at that.

It works as a mic adapter, but 1. The audio quality is awful, compared with the same mic on other cameras. Still better than Osmo Pocket internal mic, but far away from my expectations. 2. It does NOT work together with the wireless adapter of Osmo Pocket, meaning you CANNOT use an external mic while monitoring your record wirelessly.

In a perfect world there would have been a mic jack on the Osmo Pocket, in a better world this would’ve been in the box, in the real world DJI jacked the prices on all peripherals for this wonderful device.

Loved it but the material feels cheap and fragile, but works as intended/designed. sound quality is amazing for my moms 9 year old radio with the old aux input and it detcects it as soon as I plug it in.

I purchased your product because my Lenovo tablet does not have a headphone jack. The Lenovo P11 tablet is supposed to have an FM radio tuner, but does not. Your product works fine as a headphone adapter.

I use it only on my phone and the audio quality is pretty solid. The product doesn’t look or feel cheap, but the cable is thinner that I thought it would be so only time will tell how long it will last.

I bought this reasonably-priced adapter to replace the one that came with my phone. I wanted to listen to music from my phone via my car’s AUX input. This adapter is not recognized by my phone or my car.

I therefore cannot play audio from my phone through my car speakers except by Bluetooth.

It works. However, I expected a much more robust unit for the price. This looks like it won’t last long; the cable/wire is very light guage and simply hold together through general use. Also there is no tension relief or support at the connections.

I’d pay $2. 00 for this, not $14. 00 ($14. 00!!??). Too much trouble to send back. I’ll be thoroughly questioning any adapters I get from PE in the future.

This thing is Perfect! Just got a new phone but apparently, the audio cable went out of style so needed an adapter. This one works great however it seems that the sound is lowered compared to the original which is why it’s a 4 star instead of a 5.

Still loved it though (out of necessity).
