I bought this digital piano here at MF back in 2018. Originally, I bought a white P-255 and then I saw that these would be available in just a few short months. I loved the P-255, yet when I called Yamaha, and the rep told me that you can not even compare the two pianos and that for the extra $$$, the P-515 was leagues better.

A couple of years earlier, I was trying to upgrade from my old P-120 and at that time, (2014-2015), the P-155 was supposedly the upgrade for the P-120. The P-155 was so horrible that I opted to have my P-120 repaired 6 times rather than keep that very inferior instrument.

Then I saw the ads for the P-255 and really wanted one. A couple of years passed and I could not take the sticking keys of the P-120 any longer and decided to order the P-255. After it was shipped, I saw the advertising for the new P-515 and knew that I had to have it.

In the 30 days that I kept the P-255, I grew to really love it. It sounded better than the P-120 and had the EQ faders right there on the top panel as well as a slider volume adjuster. The P-255 is a great gigging piano.

I played a music festival in Bend, Oregon and made several videos of those shows with that Piano, all the while knowing that I was returning it in favor of the newly announced P-515. This is the finest slab style digital piano at this or any other price.

Allow me to explain. 1 out of every 4 instruments in the world today is made by Yamaha. Roland is a terrible choice for a digital piano because they are not manufacturers of acoustic pianos of any kind and their sounds and actions are just awful for recreating piano music.

Also, Yamaha bought out Bosendorfer and so all of the sounds inside of the P-515 are sampled from instruments that Yamaha actually makes. This is also the least expensive digital piano made with real wooden keys, synthetic ivory, synthetic textured ebony and an escapement movement for playing soft passages with more speed and accuracy.

Kawaii also make some world class acoustic grand pianos and they also make some really fine digital pianos, but Yamaha makes the very best digital pianos. I used to own a 9 foot Steinway concert grand piano.

The Yamaha CFX Grand sounds a great deal like my 1929 Steinway. However, I have never in my life heard a piano sound like the Bosendorfer Imperial inside of the P-515. This is why I can definitively say that the P-515 has no rival, except a real acoustic Bosendorfer.

This piano sample growls and breathes fire when one leans into these keys. It is an animal that lives inside of the patch, and this animal has unlimited dynamic range. I have read reviews that say the keys on the P-515 are exceptionally heavy.

All I can say about that is I have played some of the most blisteringly fast music on the P-515 that I have ever played in my life. Remember that this is primarily a digital piano, not a midi controller or a keyboard designed to play synthesizer music.

That being said, I have used this keyboard for other uses besides that of its world class sounding pianos and it always performs flawlessly. My only gripe about this digital piano is that it does not save your settings.

(unless you happen to own an Ipad) This means that you need to “set up” this instrument every single time you power it off and back on. There are some 9 steps that you need to scroll through to fully “set up” the pianos inside of the “piano room” feature.

So all in all this is truly an incredible home studio or home/living room digital piano. I would not want to gig with it though for a variety of reasons. However, this piano can not be beaten by any other manufacturer of digital pianos for the various reasons I have already pointed out.

Recap: Real wood keys, All piano samples created using their own manufactured acoustic pianos, a real escapement movement, a great new built in stereo sound system. This is the most realistic piano experience one can get from a digital piano at this price, period! I have been composing for 50 years and know what I am writing about.

You will never regret purchasing a Yamaha P-515 Digital Piano and it is only going to get more expensive as time passes.

I purchased the “bundle” instead of just the keyboard because I knew I would need a keyboard stand and a new bench. I wish I had done my homework on the accessories before buying. First of all, these are Musicians Friend stock items (not Yamaha brand) that, purchased separately, would have cost less than the amount they added to the keyboard price.

So don’t expect that the “bundle” pricing is saving you any money. Second — looking at reviews of the bench showed that many people were unhappy with its height and adjustability. I concur with those reviews that the lowest setting of the bench makes it too tall for shorter adults and children.

Third — the X stand also places the keyboard height either above or below the height of a standard upright piano’s keyboard. The horizontal support arms are 6″ longer than what is needed for this keyboard, so they either push the keyboard away from the wall or they stick out where you will bang your thighs into them when approaching the keyboard to sit down at it.

And I cannot adjust both the stand and the bench to put me at the correct height both for my legs to the floor and my arms to the keyboard. Purchase the keyboard only, then get a stand designed just for it, and find a better-rated bench.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this piano. The keys feel solid and respond like keys in a traditional piano. Extremely impressed with the quality and the sound. I assembled everything in about 20 minutes.

Went together easily and was a lot more light weight than it looks (I was dreading moving it and was pleasantly surprised by the weight). The damper pedals feel solid and responded nicely as well. Six months later and still zero complaints.

Overall a fantastic piano without having to break the bank!.

My grandsons are taking piano lessons and when they got to all those Italian terms, they just weren’t getting the real feel of a piano on their keyboard. I bought this piano for them. The sound quality is amazing and the touch is just like a piano with all the benefits of digital.

Beautiful sound and great price. I’ve wanted a piano for many years and did not have the space, this is an excellent alternative. The key touch feels like a real piano and the sound is outstanding. It is very well made and looks beautiful in my home.

Not impressed at all. The stock sounds are mediocre, at best, and editing is a nightmare. Simple example: most of the organ sounds have a percussive attack, as was common on a B3. However, I can’t find the parameter to turn the percussion off.

Look how easy it is to do on a Nord. I can go on and on about the shortcomings of this board, but again the main downfall of this board is the terrible stock sounds, especially the pianos.

The SP6 has a great selection of out of the box tones that won’t overwhelm the user. There’s enough tones in each category to get you where you need to go, and it does allow for some tone editing that makes it just right.

I like the favorites buttons, which I preset to combinations that I can switch to quickly in a live setting. That plus its light weight and narrow width make it perfect for use in dueling piano shows.

So many great sounds. Customizing as much as you want. So much storage available as well. I love this piano/workstation!

Product is very easy to put together. The sound of this piano is amazing. The keys are weighted and feels as if you are playing on a grand piano! The fact that it has headphones jack, both small and big size, is great as my kids can practice while we can work!.

This is everything I wanted and more. My son and I wanted to learn piano and we had the primary requirement of weighted keys and great sound. This definitely fits those requirements. The next thing we looked for was something with a pedal setup and USB/Bluetooth connectivity.

This has all of it. We bought the table and three pedal setup with this piano. Then we wanted something that we could just play with if we wanted it and was simple to get back to the piano if we got a little lost, this makes it easy with the giant piano button above middle C.

As a reliable niche product targeting the basic needs of professional stage performers, it does it’s job well. Portable, solidly built, controls easy to use in live mode, consistent action, acceptable sounds, especially after the last OS update (thanks for the CF3!) Overall, I am satisfied.

A suggestion for future models: the keys should depress an additional 2 or 3mm, in order to emulate the range of movement and expression of real grand piano keys. the CP88 hits bottom just a bit too soon.

Also, I suggest a new CP88 OS update to address the following: Add a few of the excellent samples that Yamaha used in previous models, such as the P250. For example: – The Rhodes had distortion audible ONLY when a key was hit hard.

This was a welcome expression tool, and is absent on the CP88. – The Imperial sounds different between sectors of the keyboard, almost as if different techniques were used at the low, mid, and high range, and the shifts happen from one key to the next, not subtly.

– The S700 decay has been deliberately cut too short. – The C7 sounds too metallic in the low range, almost as if the “hammers” had less felt. – The acoustic bass sounds like a deeper bass guitar, very metallic.

The sample on the P250 was better, with the softer sound of plucked gut strings. – The B3 sample on the P250 was also closer to the real thing. I hope this helps. Best, MxB.

I’m absolutely in love with this keyboard. I can’t stop playing it. It’s the FEEL of the thing. It just wants to pull music out of me. The real test of a musical instrument is not whether it has this or that “feature,” or how its technical specifications compare with others – it’s whether it inspires you to make music with it.

You can’t find that out by reading reviews on the internet. You just have to sit down with it and see how you react to each other. When I started seriously looking for my next keyboard, I was sure I would end up with the Roland RD-2000.

It seemed to have everything I could ask for, plus it looks great! So I tried several of them in different stores over a period of weeks. It is indeed an awesome instrument, and I can see many reasons for its popularity.

But somehow, I just didn’t fall in love. I won’t go into detail on that, because the details don’t matter. It was like going out with the prettiest girl in school, only to find out you have nothing in common.

The CP88 wasn’t love at first sight. My first impression was the control panel looked kind of busy and cluttered, and kind of limited at the same time. The small sound library was a concern. I didn’t want to give up “modern” functionality for “retro” styling.

But I finally decided to really sit down and PLAY the thing. After a few minutes, I knew it was the one for me. I’ve been playing it pretty much nonstop since I bought it, and rather than exhausting the possibilities, I’m actually seeing more than I did at first.

There’s a lot of complex functionality “under the hood” that hasn’t gotten much attention. For example, you can easily map almost all the knobs and switches to your VST/AU synths to control them remotely, layer them onto the keyboard, and mix them into the audio signal from the CP88, all through a single USB cable.

But the main thing is this is a PLAYER’S instrument. It will bring out the best in you.

This keyboard has superb action. I mean, the keybed is simply amazing. I was contemplating buying the Nord Piani 4 or Piano 3, but ultimately chose this because it was much more reasonably priced, and because there’s an additional zone for extra layering vs.

the Nord. I also LOVE the piano sounds on this much better than the Nord. The only thing that gave me pause before buying this keyboard is that it does have a limited sound selection, compared to, say, a Roland RD 2000.

But every single one of the sounds included are excellent and usable, unlike other boards that come with 1000 sounds, of which you end up using only 10 on a regular basis anyway. Also, Yamaha provides updates to the OS, which gave me comfort that the library will expand over time.

I think it’s important to keep in mind that this board was probably created to compete with other stage pianos used primarily for gigs, not with workstations designed primarily for the studio. The best thing about this keyboard for me is how little menu-diving I need to do.

Everything control I could possibly need is right there at my finger tips, easily adjustable with a nob, flick of a switch, or press of a button. For a gigging musician, or a pianist who wants a realistic-feeling and sounding keyboard to play at home, and you hate menu-diving, this thing is hard to beat, man.

Simple, intuitive, sturdy, lightweight, and it looks so darn good!.

Working it thru the smart piano app makes it a breeze to operate. I recommend down loading the app while you wait for the piano to arrive. earphone jacks can be connected directly into the board, which works out good for recording thru digital board.

have had the piano for 2 months now and I have no complaints, its pretty well built and its pretty too. lol The piano has many options, even being able to split the piano into two, so you can teach the little ones.

Really cool option for four handed playing. The piano sounds are beautiful, and the keys feel really sweet. I like straight piano sounds, haven’t delved into the effects much. Yet. Over all I love my new piano.

We’ve owned 2 acoustic pianos and this is our first digital piano. We got the rosewood one and what a beautiful finish. But the sound, so rich and full of the Yamaha Grand. We bought during the Covid-19 shut in so we weren’t able to listen to in person.

I looked at the Kawai KDP 110, Roland 501, Yamaha 144 and 164 and Casio. Ruled out Casio and Roland due to Roland reviews showing various problems, same with Casio. I liked the mellower sound of the Kawai, 5 more voices, and bluetooth.

However, there were too many reviews with noisy key action after 6 months to 1 year. Also closest authorized dealer to service is 2 hours away. I chose the Yamaha 164 due to the upgraded amplifier and speakers with 40 watts.

I figured the sound would be better even at low volumes, and it’s excellent! I don’t care about having 10 voices as our purpose is to play piano and improve our piano skills, so though we’ve tried out the other voices, we keep it on the concert grand.

I’m an android person so I was happy to see the Yamaha smart pianist app is on android too, unlike the Kawai. It’s easy to maneuver and select voices, etc. I was disappointed that the music conversion feature so hyped in the utube videos only converts to chords, i.

e. a minor, b flat, etc, not musical notation. Also the memory is a little lacking. Neither of these would change my mind. This is a beautiful instrument, great action, wonderful tone, love the key cover, pedals are good, though they seems to scratch easy.

Oh, and the headphone jacks are a god send, now I can practice at night without disturbing my wife. First time I used them, even with cheap headphones, I had to take them off because I thought they weren’t working the sound was so natural and clear.

The page stays on the music stand are a nice touch also. The rep at Sam Ash was super helpful and gave me a great deal. The piano was shipped over 1100 miles in 4 business days. It was packaged very well and took about an hour to assemble and was very simple.

Bought this for my wife who really wanted an acoustic piano, but finding a quality one and then the weight of moving led me to this budget friendly digital piano that plays and feels like the real thing.

It also can be moved easily and never has to be tuned. Also looks very sleek. Would recommend for the average player.

Great samples, controls are easy to use, sections are divided on a very logical way. The action on the keyboard is good nothing spectacular but decent, a little bit noisy. My disappointment came when the key for the G below the middle C got stocked.

So I had to return it. I had owned two Roland Digital pianos the RD700SX and the RD800 and the action is great and never had a problem. Researching I found that the majority of companies don’t manufacture the key bed they buy it from Fatar an Italian company.

Except for Kawai and another company. So I am thinking on Nord Stage which Kawai manufacture the keyboard for them.

This is my first Nord instrument, and now I realize I should have done this before. Too much waste of time and money to date. Nord is not a cheap keyboard, but what is really expensive is investing tons of money in instruments that do not deliver enough, that do not meet your expectations, and sooner than later, will be sold, or worst: you will be carrying then for years unsatisfied.

I am impressed. Sounds out the box are beautiful. Once you start playing around with effects, layering, etc, the magic comes out!If you are reading this, probably you are thinking about buying a new Digital Piano.

Do yourself a favor: Do not waste your money and your time. You deserve the best. Go for it. Any Nord Piano is a great option.

I just got mine on Thursday 3/28. I spent a considerable amount of time with it, editing presets and arranging them in the live sets so that I could use it on my gig on Friday (3/30) night. My main stage piano is a Roland RD700.

Lately I have been getting gigs with small performance areas and difficult load ins. The RD is not practical for such gigs. I have to say that I still prefer the RD piano sounds to the CP73 but I love both.

The EPs, Clavs and other sounds are as good as it gets! The “Italian Combo” organ is way too much fun! The Hammond sounds are not so great but acceptable if you are not soloing with them. I have a dedicated clone-wheel organ so I will likely never use the Hammond in the CP but I will use the Vox and Farfisa sounds.

I will happily use my CP when 88 keys is not practical. My first gig with the CP was with a seven piece jump blues band. I had no trouble hearing myself and some friends in the audience said my solos cut through perfectly and that I could be heard in the mix when comping.

Remember, this is a stage piano and it’s primary function is to act as a piano and electric piano and other keyboard instruments, and it does this well. It has a few basic synth sounds but not many, it’s not what to was designed for.

Very easy to use, there is a button or a knob for everything so if you want to do any live tweaking it’s very easy. It’s a great design, kind of like a Korg SV on steroids!.

The P-45 was delivered open and obviously used. So the store offered a discounted P-125 which was the only thing available in this covid busy season. Do I wait 2-3 weeks for the P-45 or even longer for the Roland FP-30.

Hmmm. Well, here I am with the P-125. Really decent family keyboard, but mainly for learning for my kids! I am not a keyboardist but a musician dad, but I will say, it does feel solid with the weight keys.

You pay for what you get with the limited extra functions, but it’s good enough for a clean piano sound. It’s loud enough and there’s also two headphone jacks which will probably come handy when we need the kids to play in isolation.

Not sure why, but the Roland FP series piano seems to be more popular or just hard to find, and the Yamaha P series a bit more in stock. Is it cause the Rolands are better? Not sure. But, overall happy given my situation, and happy with the feel of the Yamaha.

Was hoping to get the Roland fp-30 but opted for what was in stock which was the Yamaha p-45. They sent me a used unboxed item so had to return at a store nearby. Thankfully , the manager guy promptly helped me with options of getting the p-45 at a later date with a discount or get the p-125 that day as it was in stock in store.

Opted to pay the similar price with the discount to the p-45. Solid all round keyboard. Loud enough with full weighted keys, and enough functions for the price you pay/needs for piano learning and growing.

I like this package over buying separate seat and keyboard stand as it seems to be holding up better than the possibility of the keyboard being knocked off. Full weighted keys are def a plus over the p-45 (which the manager said was half weighted?).

the “cabinet/stand” is of extremely low quality. plastic footboard and particle board sides and back. the keys were not as responsive as advertised (at least not much more than my less expensive model described below) and the only real wood may have been the frame the keyboard was built into.

i’m a novice player so i can’t speak to the sound quality of the keyboard, but it did not sound better than my $530 keyboard (UMOMO 88 Key Weighted keyboard also purchased from Walmart. com). if the sound of the Casio was amazing then i would understand the low quality stand, but as i said, it did not sound significantly better than my UMOMO, which is built into a solid wood cabinet/stand and sounds fine to me (some keys are a little less responsive on faster tunes but mainly when i’m using headphones or a Midi cable and listening through my tablet).

there are a lot of digital soundboard features for different sounds/looping/recording, etc. on the Casio, so if you’re looking for that you may like this product. but if you’re looking for something that sounds like an acoustic piano but let’s you wear headphones and connect to your piano apps (for a great price), there are less expensive high quality options.

i opted to keep the less expensive and better built UMOMO over the more expensive Casio with it’s super low quality stand. i appreciate Walmart’s return policy and the great customer service rep who helped me cancel my original request to return the “cheaper” product.

note: the legs, on the included UMOMO bench, are rubbish. vinyl and wobbly, so i did buy a separate bench to replace it, bringing the total purchase price for keyboard, stand, and bench to $600). still less expensive than this product.

Great instrument! It was easy to assemble, but you will probably want two people to move it around. I love the weighted keys. Even the pedals have a genuine feel. The sound is nice and the response from the keys can be adjusted.

There are a number of voices. There are only two negatives I can think of. First, the headphone jack is inconvenient to access and can leave a cord in your way. Second, the cabinet is really narrow. It’s nice that it has such a low profile, but it would be better with more room on top for music.

All in all, this is a great piano for the price.

I spent an hour in the store trying out every electric keyboard with 88 keys available on the floor. This includes electric baby grands too. This was the only keyboard that sounded like a real piano for all the keys.

I was shocked how many other recognizable brands made pianos that only sounded legit for just the middle range or sometimes not even that. They all distorted the sound of the notes in different places to the point where it didn’t sound like a real piano at all.

Having realistic sounding notes was important to me since we were replacing a real piano with this and I didn’t want it to ruin any ear training. The keys have the weighted reaction feature that feels right and they feel higher quality than many of the other keyboards whose keys felt like plastic.

Note that while the keyboard itself is quite heavy, the stand is made if MDF particle board so you will want to take great care when putting it together so you don’t accidentally crush part of the board or scratch it.

Also don’t recommend moving this piano much after after it’s assembled. One of my family’s favorite feature is the preprogrammed music that you can play along with too. With an iPad you can scroll through the entire collection and the selection is huge.

You will really hear the quality of the sound demonstrated when you listen to those songs!.

I must add to my previous latest comments reviewing the Roland RD 800 digital keyboard. Not all of the voices and sounds are good. Roland has a drum kit section; which is not necessary, in my opinion.

for a keyboard player in a professional setting. in addition, with further investigations. not all of the voices and sounds are good or of any good use. However, as one explores this keyboard, one will discover quite a bit of useable sounds with exceptional sound qualities.

other than, those I have commented on. such as the acoustic pianos, electric pianos, strings, bass, and organs. Some of the pad and synthesized sounds are excellent and with a good imaginized charged composer, the possibilities are unlimited.

for the electronic music venue. The right choices for the traditional instruments are excellent. such as within the vibraphone section, which carried me away, I could not stop playing. along with the pad/synthesizer section.

I am a person of integrity with all that I do and speak. thusly, I have added these further comments. and taken the time do present as such. Neverthless, overall, this Roland RD 800 digital keyboard is outstanding; outside of the negative comments; and I stand firm on my other positive comments about it.

Although the RD-800 is a fantastic keyboard, my experience on this particular one was not good. It was described as having “slight wear and/or scuffing, but fully functional”, which made me go for it at the price, which was about 300.

00 less than purchasing it new. However, when I opened the package and fired the power up, there were several non-functioning LEDs and even a function button that was jammed in. I called customer service, who were friendly and understanding.

They e-mailed me a return shipping label immediately. I packaged it right back up and it was shipped back the next day. I must admit that I am getting antsy about my money being refunded to my bank account in a timely manner.

I went and purchased the same keyboard brand new in a bundle which effectively made the new keyboard about 40. 00 less than the faulty one I received from Musician’s Friend. I am sure this was a random case as they are a highly reputable company; however I must say I was less than thrilled at the condition of the product I received.

Mostly used for self pleasure. I love everything about this Kurzweil. I have no complaints at all. It has bass, piano, organ, strings, winds, and brass. It also has a reverb function.

Very pleased with this purchase. Great sounds and loads of wonderful features. Love the fact that the lid can be ‘part opened’ so that the digital display can stay hidden while you’re playing. It’s also a beautiful piece of furniture in its own right and looks lovely in our lounge.

My wife and I don’t have a music background. So, when our whimsical 6-year-old daughter expressed an interest in taking piano lessons, we searched for a piano that would facilitate good practice habits, but that would be fun for her to continue playing even if she gave up lessons.

We chose the CSP-170, and it served our purposes as well as we could have hoped. The iPad interface was very intuitive and user friendly, so our daughter was able to operate the piano immediately without adult assistance.

We also discovered a few good third-party piano-lesson apps for kids, and the interface between the apps and the piano was also very user friendly. Over time, our younger daughter (who’s now 5yo) could also navigate the piano controls and third-party apps very easily.

Because the piano is so easy to operate, our young daughters had a ton of fun with it and literally played it daily. They periodically dabbled with the various “voices” and the stream lights, and they periodically plugged in a microphone so that one could sing while the other was playing.

The stream light software was way too difficult to enable either of them to play along with their favorite songs. Instead, they would play the piano together (like a duet) with the stream lights going, and they’d just each choose two or three notes to focus on and play; that alone was fun to them and actually sounded pretty nice.

They had so much fun with it that when they would have play dates, they and their friends would spend a bunch of their time having clean fun with the piano. So, ultimately, this piano both launched and has maintained (for nearly two years) our daughters’ interest in the piano.

For us adults, it was nice to have a piano with volume control and with headphone jacks while our kids were learning. We just traded in our CSP-170 for an acoustic piano. Although we stand by that choice, we already miss this piano!.

I just bought my CSP 170 two weeks ago. It was shipped from California to New York and then to South Carolina. It came a long ways! I love the clean look of the piano and the different piano voices. Playing the piano alone, sounds kind of plain to me.

I have to use the app to enhance and layer the piano. Unfortunately, I am forced to use my iPhone X, because my iPad does not have the IOS version necessary to run the Smart Piano app. I have a 9. 1- IOS with 64 gig iPad and it is not upgradable.

My only solution is to purchase an upgraded iPad, costing hundreds, to accommodate the software and incur additional expense, which I never anticipated! I was never informed about the IOS version that I needed.

All I was told is that I could use my iPad to run the app. Using my iPhone with the app, is not user friendly, as reading the small letters and icons become difficult and straining to the eyes. I wrote the VP, who sold the piano to me and explained some of these issues I was having with the piano, therefore, I was hoping and expecting a call or email from him.

I have not received anything yet. Another issue I am having when using my iPhone, piano and the app, is when I receive a message on my iPhone. My phone rings and the audio goes into blasting mode. This can ruin the audio on the instrument.

I should have been informed about this, before purchasing the piano. In addition to these issues, the manual that came with the piano has very short, general instructions on how to use the app, therefore, I had to search the internet for days, in order to get more information, yet I still can’t get everything to work! The app will not go into teaching mode.

All it does, is play the songs. It will not wait for me to play, nor will it stop till I play the next note. It stays in play mode! I cannot even slow it down! If I select an accompaniment background rhythm, it does not allow me to slow it down either, so the app is useless to me!.

Great sound. Also with sound effects like car chase sounds etc. Am still learning all the sounds. Lots of really interesting sounds (voices) eg Asian bells, South American instuments. Very easy to dial the different voices.

There are over 700 including sound effects. Groove samples are very. Inspiring. Headphones are great. Sounds like you’re listening normally – Hard to believe the sound is coming through a headphone. It is a really good quality headphone.

For most people I think the headphones are essential. I did not get the stand. I use a table which works OK but stand probably better. Just can’t figure out how my legs would fit under the stand. with the X bars but people seem to manage.

It’s fairly light and is reasonably portable but it’s large (76 keys) Would not want any bigger. Could easily carry in a car. but need two hands to carry it. It would be good if it came with a carry bag.

It would be light enough to carry with one hand then. But then again I only use it at home. Unlike concert keyboards it has built in speakers. (with excellent sound). Have not had a chance to try everything yet.

but love everything about it.

Having ordered this piano from a suppler who claimed to have it in stock and kept messing me about for months, I did what I should have done in the first place and ordered the piano from PMT. I placed an order on the Friday and Simon from the Liverpool shop rang me straight away and arranged delivery for the following Tuesday.

The piano was delivered on time and I have to say it is amazing. I already have a Casio piano which I have had for 12 years and has served me very well. The Roland hp 704 is a completely different league.

The keys feel like an acoustic piano and the sound is amazing, both through speakers and headphones. I find it very simple to use and the Roland Apps are easy to install and use too. The only difficulty I had was the power lead which required a fair amount of force to push it in.

Putting it together was a piece of cake but it does need two people to move it because it is around 60 kgs. I have been on it every day since it arrived and because it has Bluetooth, I was able to play Jamie Cullum from Apple Music and jam along with him.

I could not be happier with this piano. It’s gorgeous and very well built. A minor but very nice touch is that the key lid can be positioned to cover the control panel, giving the piano even more of an acoustic feel.

The key response is very smooth and the sound is incredible. Playing is so much a joy that I never need to force myself to practise – something that wasn’t always true with the entry-level keyboard I had before.

I recommend this piano to anyone.

Originally I was going to buy the Yamaha CLP735. After speaking with the experts they pointed me in the direction on the Roland LX705 and i’m so glad they did. Its stunning, sounds great and ticks all the boxes.

I would recommend paying a little extra if it means you can take home this product. A big thankyou to the staff at PMT.

Just a super experience. Fast delivery and managed to get the piano up and going quickly. Sounds super. I haven’t fiddled around with all the options and things yet, but it’s got me playing again, which is a lovely thing to experience.
