20 Best Unlocked Phones Under $100 (2023 Updated)

I bought and recieved the AO3S and it started freezing the minute I put play store games on it. The pictures are not great. It is big and hold alot of apps. But not to crazy about it.

I bought it it a month ago. Within 1 month the screen was blank but the phone was ringing. So disappointing. The phone was 17 days old.

Cons: dropped the phone by accident three weeks after i received it, it landed on the front glass panel cracked immediately the strength of the glass on most of these phones is completely inadequate .

This phone feels about right — nice screen, perfect size and decent camera. I’ve had S series and note series Samsung phones in the past but this time I wanted to give one of their A series a go and liked the clean lines of the A32.

AMOLED is important and so too regular updates but equally important is smooth operation and this is the one area where I think Samsung cheaped out a bit. The G80 is by no means a bad chip but it would have only cost Samsung a few dollars more to have used a Dimensity SOC and this phone would have been almost perfect for the money.

I am not devastated by the use of the G80 as it performs very well under most circumstances but with other manufactures using better silicon in cheaper phones I do wonder if this was a missed opportunity.

Regardless, I love the phone and have no regrets buying it. I bout the official Samsung S-View wallet case for it and it looks superb. There are some better value phones out there for the money but at the end of the day they are not Samsung and they certainly won’t be receiving the updates Samsung is promising for this device.

All in all I am happy.

I bought this phone a week ago and so far i am plesently surprised. I decided on purchasing it because of the price point, battery life, screen size, and fingerprint reader. Throughout the week i found that i only need to charge it every other day even though use Spotify to stream music or podcasts my entire 8 hour work day and during my commute.

The fingerprint scanner has proven reliable, if your having trouble with it i recommend adding your preferred fingerprint 2 or 3 times and ensure your finger is clean. The performance is way better than what i expected at the price i payed.

Its faster than the a21 i had previously. Dont expect to run 14 apps at once though. I also dont play games on it because thats not my thing. Movies come out crystal clear and play smooth with good sound quality.

Calls come in clear and with the volume all the way up it has hurt my ear at times. Not a bad thing because some people talk super quiet. Ive had no one ask me to repeat myself. Connection seems strong unless im in a rural area where no phone has service.

Internal storage is smaller than i would like but a sd card helps upgrade the phone. The camera takes a decent picture and it has most of the modern features. I will continue to use it everyday and promise to update this review if anything changes.

Before you buy just remember its a 79. 99 dollar phone. If your expecting s22 ultra super features you will be disappointed. Also Its 4g and ive never used 5g so cant compare. plenty fast for me.

As a long time Samsung mobile user, I have very disappointed with this once. The fingerprint scanner is next to useless for starters which makes answering calls a pain let alone accessing the phone for anything else.

The camera is unimpressive and I don’t get the same quality of pics I was getting on my Note 5+ or my S8+ even those models are so old. I didslike that when I try to MOVE pictures from the Gallery into a folder, they remain in the Gallery and the folder.

I was given support on a work around but that didn’t work at all so appears to be a defect. I used the supplied weather app widget to load up a couple of different world wide locations to get time and weather but on the old phones, I was able to carousel the view between those locations via the widget without my having to open the app, go to the menu and select which other location I wished to view.

Grrrrrrrr. I don’t get any light flash notifications to indicate I have messages waiting. All in all, a very disappointing phone – it does the basics but that’s all. I will be changing to another brand going forward.

The cost of $140 not only covers the phone but any additional fees that come with activation and charges. You’re getting the equivalent of a prepaid phone and then a great deal. If you go through the actual site and app you’re paying a bit more I’ve noticed.

I say, first,read the fine print or you’re going to end up giving a bad review and that’s just because the small details are not understood. Excellent phone, and it makes it easy to transition all of your Mode app deals, offers and points effortlessly,without having to go from one app to a deal and then back to the app.

Please read 100% the fine print before stepping into a contract and this is not because of any hindrances I have in giving a 100% go get this phone review. This is because I’ve noticed a lot of people who I know, who invested in the mode current phone,did not read the fine print.

So when they came up against charges, there was a fit. So I’m not saying the people who give a bad review here did not have a bad experience, what I am saying is the people who I’ve spoken to who did get the phone and did activated under the company.

That is with mode current app. They gave a bad review they had a horrible experience. So should you do get this mode phone, think of it as a MetroPCS type situation but with a bit more to it. Make this the alternative phone you get for everyday Little things.

That way you’re making money while buying movie tickets. You’re making money while surfing the internet and maybe shopping at Sephora and bath.

The phone is pretty fast. The screen size is good and and battery life is still amazing, but it’s early yet. It came with a bunch of games already installed. I liked the fact is had a memory card and a set of headphone.

The mode app is a little glitchy on my other android phone but I really like the app, but unfortunately, this phone does not work on the Cricket network, so I can’t use this phone. Darn shame, I wanted that new phone and to be able to earn the extra points using the Mode phone, I will pass it on to someone in my family to use on another network.

first of all the phone that i bought works very well. the battery like is excellent. i would recommend this phone to anyone who wants one. now the downside. not the phone but the app called mode earn app.

please consider updating your profile before they ban you. this happened to me few days before i knew my account was suspended because i forgot to update my profile phone number. keep in mind i might win this appeal to keep earning the points i need to keep me going.

overall the phone is worth buying.

I have never had a problem buying electronics from Target before. But, this time, the box for the phone was literally glued together. When I opened the plastic container, the silver tabs of the actual box were cut, and the box had wear and tear.

Target shipped me a used phone. Today, when I reached out to Target Cust. Svc. , they first told me “unlocked” means “used” phone to Target. This is not true. And, it wasn’t a good excuse. I have worked retail, and know that phones are kept in a locked bin until a customer gets to checkout.

So, customers are to always be sold an unused, un-tampered with phone. There is no way to know what someone else did with the phone that Target shipped to me. I didn’t buy a “used” phone, and the description says it should be new.

So, until the Target distribution center adheres to product integrity and safety, I will not take a chance on buying electronics from Target.

Best phone I’ve had. It’s fast and easy to maneuver. The battery lasts all day. More screen 5. 5″, no physical buttons on the front. Android beats iphone hands down. There are more and better apps for Android.

The only draw back I’ve found is you cannot add memory. I could not add/insert my memory card from my previous phone. However it does have 32G of internal memory and so far that has sufficed.

Internet keeps going off. I have reset it several times. So I don’t know what else to do. Otherwise, this phone is great. Pls email with tips so that I can write another review. Thanks.

My BLU studio 5. 5S stopped startup in black suddenly last month. Its 3. 0 front camera is not good but the rear camera 8. 0 is REALLY bright and clear. I relied on my phone to scan textbooks, instructors’ writing, kids’ activity.

Long battery life, amazing speed for game, video, browser, glass was Really GOOD quality (my phone dropped once a week) So, I bought another BLU phone. BLU Life One XL 8GB: The reason I bought was because of its 13mb rear camera and 5mb front camera.

Very disappointed. Front camera 5. 0mb is clear and bright. Rear camera 13. 0mb is dark and not-adjustible (software maybe). I tried to take pictures in classroom but hand writing were all blurred. the distance of the board was just 8ft.

Battery life is shorter than I expect. Some problems happen about the BACK and HOME buttons, they pop up and bling several times. Automatically quit the browser. I am heavy relying on the rear camera.

I will return it.

This phone has a big, easy to use touch screen. The 13 MP camera with a flash takes great pictures. But as an actual phone, it stinks. It’s hard to hear the person on the other line during phone calls, it lags over every little thing, it wouldn’t stay connected to my WiFi in the same room as the router, it even struggles to send a regular text message without freezing up! I don’t know if it’s music or video streaming is good or not because I never tried it.

I got so fed up trying to get it to send a text or make a call that I didn’t dare try more advanced stuff. The battery drains crazy fast and takes forever to fully charge. All in all, it’s garbage. Although, it is cheap so I don’t know what I was expecting.

Bought this phone when I switched out from having an iPhone and I love it!! It’s fast, battery lasts all day if you don’t spend every waken hour on youtube. The camera is awesome for it being such a low cost phone and it has AWESOME camera effects and options.

It didn’t give up. Recently switched to new a20some weird things i’ve noticed: The gaming fps seems to increase a lot when you have your brightness at the minimum, why can’t it be high all the time – the bluetooth connection definitely varies when hooked up to different devices – having power saver mode on dosen’t help much – it can freeze for up to 5 seconds at a time (not that often though).

overall: Reliable mid price phone, not the best for gaming but good for essential functions. Do not buy if you want a good camera. Do buy if you are looking for a starter android for your kids. Would reccomend an iphone se over an a20 – worth it for the 1080p 60fps camera, home button, storage, and battery life.

I bought this phone in July 2020 as my first brand-new phone for $200-$250 and an upgrade from a hand-me-down S7 Edge. At first this was a huge upgrade because the screen was huge (6. 4 inches) compared to the S7 Edge (5.

5 inches). Its battery was better than the S7 Edge by ten-fold as I did not charge this phone overnight every night. The A20 has the same amount of storage so that wasn’t an issue at the time. Over time I started to notice performance issues, especially with multi-tasking and CPU-demanding apps.

Storage began filling up after one year of use and the phone became a pain to use on the regular. You can expect lag if you have more than two apps open at a time. I would spend a little more money for the A42 or A52 to get a MUCH better phone that will last longer.

I am currently looking to upgrade to either of these phones or an S21 FE to get a phone that will last. As a student I need to multi-task easily so this is not the best choice for me. Overall, if you want a phone that works for more basic functions and for cheaper, go for the A20.

It’s very similar to my 4 year old Motorola g7 only it has the android 10 update. Screen is barely larger just taller by a tiny bit. If I knew that I would never have bought it even for the $70 it cost me.

I paid $40 fir my moto 6 same memory and didn’t have to struggle with Samsung’s BS account which won’t even let me sign in so I just reset it and skipped everything, not even using it now, will be selling it and getting a new tablet like I should if done to begin with.

Battery ran down faster than my 10″ tablet with a 4g sim while snapping pictures all day and selling on offer up. Don’t let them fool you, they claim long usage, half a day and it needed a charge, my tablet would go nearly 2 days with the same use and a way easirrr to work with screen.

Camera seems to be better than the tablet and the motor even though they have same Pixel count. Moto can is hard to use constantly changing every time it’s touched. I don’t see how they can get people to pay so much for phones? The tiny differences are so slight and most features are simply useless or too involved to bother learning.

Do much easier to simply use a good DSLR camera and transfer high quality pictures to the tablet and sell than trying to work with a phone and waste so much time trying to get a perfect shot. This phone is worth the $70 I paid but nothing special, battery dies quick screen is in s useless skinny tall format, which I don’t see why they would even bother making it like that other than to be able to post a larger number for screen size, (it worked on me so I guess they accomplished the task.

Oh don’t plan on actuslly bring able to hear anything through the speakers, maxed out and I couldn’t even tell if the video had sound or not until I put my ear up the phone in a quiet room. You get exactly what you pay for and nothing more it just depends on what you plan to do with it.

Make a few calls and not worry if it breaks it is lost then it’s perfect.

I keep a cheap phone to use for businesses that I don’t want to have my main phone number. The Samsung I was using was from around 2011 and had horrible reception so I decided to upgrade. After looking at all the reviews I decided on the Moto G7.

Reception is much better, but the speaker that you talk into is much smaller than my Galaxy S9. After putting the Moto in a case, the hole adds to the difficulty of other people hearing me clearly. I found a case that is better but probably need to try to enlarge the hole.

They say I am muffled. It has some nice features but I can’t get some to work, like flipping the phone to temporarily turn on the “do not disturb”. There’s not a lot of storage but at least it takes a micro-SD.

Also, it updated for days finally to Android 10, but I understand that no other updates will be forthcoming, including security updates. Most of these issues don’t bother me since it’s a phone I only use occasionally.

Since I don’t use it often the battery will last for about 4 days if I leave it on. It also comes with the typical bloatware that uses up storage. The camera is so-so, but I don’t buy phones for the camera; however, the photos seem to be of a lower quality than my S9.

In spite of all the downsides, it serves my purpose.

The Bad: This phone is initially very annoying to work with. I needed to turn notifications off, and disable Device Pulse, which is an app which consistently goes off if the fingerprint reader isn’t setup.

I had to also disable notifications for Google Play Store which was sending vibrations without notifications displaying on my phone (3 consecutive vibrations at seemingly random times). The Good: Phone can easily be upgraded to Android OS 10, though this process does take an hour or more as there are several security updates needed prior to installation.

Phone is fast, perfect for browsing the web and watching videos. The speaker has a nice range of volumes so long as the protective glass shield has been removed from in front of the speaker. Interesting facts: Phone comes with a built in FM radio, the screenshot sound does not appear to be able to be turned off but it’s so loud that it would be distracting in a quiet environment.

I recommend getting the Battery Widget Reborn 2020 app for your phone as the battery reader that comes with the phone is impossible to read (other than the vague battery bar graph in the corner).

I was prompted via message from TracFone to purchase a new phone, as newer 5G networks would eventually quit supporting older non VOLTG compatible phones. So I purchased the Motorola G7 to replace my old LG flip phone.

Well the first instruction in the book is to install the SIM card. I searched all the packaging and found no SIM card. There’s no mention of the SD card (not included) that fits in the same tray right next to the SIM card.

The SIM card was in the tray, but the large gap in the tray prompted me to call customer service requesting a SIM card which they sent. After receiving the SIM, I see it’s already in the tray. I learn afterword from YouTube videos that gap in my tray is for an SD card which was not included.

Do I need an SD card to set up this phone? The instruction booklet should inform users two cards fit in the tray, and the SD card which is not included, should not be confused with the SIM card. I don’t have wireless in my home, so I’ll have to figure out how to set up this phone to work as a phone first.

When I eventually get the phone up an running I may change my rating, but the vagueness of instructions and no mention of the SD card or, earns a one star from me.

I wish I reviewed phones more often because all the great ones I had didn’t get my review. This phone is so awful that it needs to be said. If you’re okay with a below average battery, a horribly inaccurate autocorrect keyboard and a fingerprint reader that works about 20% of the time (with no protector) then you’ll be satisfied with this phone.

Those are the biggest misses. Smaller are things like a slow processor, a slightly confusing OS, a rear camera that takes 2 minutes to focus etc. I didn’t pick this phone. It was a “comparable replacement” for my Moto G Power.

Not even close. I hear Samsung’s flagship high end phones are worth it but this is a piece of junk. Moto fan but really not a Samsung hater. Had a Samsung Galaxy S10 for a work phone and it was amazing.

I’m just not into dropping a ton of cash on something that’ll be outdated so quickly. Moto is the way to go for mid priced quality phones.

Finally got this phone, no fault of the seller who has been excellent in terms of contacting (quick and friendly). Came with a charger and it looks like they put a screen protector on it. Thought at first there was a imperfection on the screen because it had a bubble on the top right.

No noticeable scratches on it. Battery seems to deplete quick, but that could be because I’m playing hide and seek with intrusive android/google apps still. Sound is pretty good, screen is pretty vibrant too even with the screen protector on it.

Needed a bit of cleaning out of box. I can only give this 4 stars because the back is falling off. I thought these clipped in? it appears to be glued on and it’s bond is no longer holding. The only time it’s been outside is when it was in transit to my hands, it will rarely leave the house going forward.

Ordered on Dec 4th, shipped on Dec 4, received on Dec 16, again, no fault of the seller. Certainly would do business with them again but would hope the item would be checked a little better before going out the door.

I bought this phone on August 2019, and from the beginning, the fingerprint scanner wasn’t working properly. The camera was quite decent, but more megapixels won’t make a better camera if it is nor properly optimized.

After usage, the front camera started deteriorating A LOT and the pictures worsen over time. After three years, the battery duration is awful. If I unplug my phone, on 100% charge and not touch it at all, the battery drains at least 20% in less than an hour.

It is impossible to properly connect to a PC to move photos or music archives. The outside paint started peeling off after a year of good care, and you can see the plastic underneath. Too expensive for its worth.

as far as phones go, the IDOL 4S has a great design. It’s light and feel good in the hand. The issue Is the software. Tbis model runs windows mobile 10. An OS that is all but dead in 2020. I bought if for nostalgic purposes.

I had one before, it got stolen and wanted it again. As a daily driver this phone could be used for the basics. Anything beyond that there will definitely be an issue. Windows pbone suffered from lack of support before, even more so now.

But to have just foe the sake of having it, its a nice little look back at what might have been.

I’m not a power user, mainly texting and checking email. I also use it as a portable music player. I have the Windows version also. The phone is sleek and has a gorgeous display and fantastic speakers.

The specs are fine for me and I have no complaints about the phone. I have an Axon 7 which is supposed to have the same screen but there’s no comparison. For the price the phone is just plain good. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that the battery only lasts a day.

I feel it should last longer because as I said I’m not a power user. But the quick charger is exactly that, the phone charges fast!.

I like the phone very much,not just because it is a windows 10 mobile, but also its good looks. It really very nice! And it has a very good condition ,95% new. Though there are some scratch on it back.

But all in all, it still looks very new. One big problem, it seems the system doesn’t attach to the phone very much, though the phone it has snapdragon 820+4+64, sometimes it shows a little bit stucked, and it works not very smoothly.

And when I record a very beatiful video ,it get stucked and restart, everything is goneI was very angry and very despointed. I wads considering about return. But, finally, I guess I like the win10m phone ,and it does really has a good price.

So ,I kept it. Now it seems better now. I don’t know will the problem will happen again. I hope it won’t.

I bought two of these for my grandchildren as a punishment replacement for their smart phones At first they were not happy but now after four days of using these phones theyve actually told me they prefer them to their smart phones! They appear less stressed with these phones as they are not constantly answering alerts etc The phones are excellent, robust with a long battery life everyones happy Ps they love snake and Tetris!!.

This is a good replacement for a 10-year-old Nokia 100, which I was never able to get unlocked. I had to buy an unlocked LG equivalent, which I have been using since then, and is pretty useless, at least for texting.

At first, I thought this was damaged, until I realised that the protective film was still covering the screen, and it was just this that was marked. Happy with my purchase.

Sweet little basic phone but I cant use it. It came with no box, no instructions and no charger. The charge point is small and round like a headphone socket but slightly bigger. Not worth the cost of returning it.

motorola makes the best value phones. ive done lots of comparison shopping with blu, lg, samsung, motorola, etc. motorola offers the most for your money. though their phones are a bit thick and heavy, i didnt want to spend a fortune on an iphone.

id definitely recommend the motorola moto e4, e5 play, and g5s unlocked phones. i had all of them. the call quality, speakers, screen, charging speed, etc. were all A+! also, though its not waterproof, jt has a water repellent surface.

so you could use it by the pool or in the rain for a while. the android operating system is pretty clean with no bloatware. my only small complaint is that motorola skimped on using usb c ports. it still uses microusb ports.

but its no big deal. make sure you get at least 16gb internal memory. best buy, amazon, walmart, etc. have great deals on motorolas.

When turned on I am greeted with the perfect voice, “hello Moto”. When I pick up the phone the face lights up showing the time of day. The battery can last me 3 days when used lightly. Photos are good enough.

After 3 months of ownership I have not needed to add a memory card for more memory. Easy Battery access / replacement. Compatible with $15 a month Mint Mobile. Available to be purchased for under $100.

I paid $50. New open box. This cell introduced me to DUO so now I can Android facetime people. One complaint. it has the stupid micro cord that has an up or down side. All charge cords should be the C cord.

Buy this phone, it does whatever I want for $1000. 00 less than my wife’s Apple.

Caveat: I love technology but I will NOT pay more than $150 for a phone! I spend $1k on a laptop, but not a phone. My expectations are therefore different from many others. This phone works find, battery life could be better but that doesn’t impact me much.

The sound quality with speaker on is Very Good – and that’s super important to me. I do not dig having a learning curve each time i switch phones of find features/apps have changed – but heck, that’s the way everything’s headed.

The phone is fine – and I use it mostly to read the morning paper and play a few games, look up quick info. For all that, it’s great. I can’t imagine a phone that I would want to spend more on could give me that much more value.

I mostly need to be reachable by family members without fail – this is great for that. I’m not on social media, so I can’t comment on that. Best part??? I’m NOT paying more than $20 a month for text and talk (with phone cost factored in).

I have friends who are paying $80+ for service and then the &&@)@)(|{ ?> phone costs $500-800, so yeah, I can go out for Thai food many times for that.

The Nokia 6 (2018) edition, aka, Nokia 6. 1 is a well built phone with all the essentials you need in a smartphone. Decent screen, decent camera, fingerprint security, long battery life. The phone itself is a well designed, and made piece of kit.

HMD global has really resurrected the Nokia reputation from the mistake that was Windows phone. Unfortunately for me. the phone that I ended up with is the TA-1054. This is the Chinese version. It is perpetually stuck on Nougat 7.

1. 1 Nov security patch, as OTA updates do not seem to work. The listing I bought it off (probably where you are reading this review) does not specify the specific phone model, and just that it is a Nokia 6 (2018).

Be sure the phone you are buying is TA-1068 (Global version), reason being is that the TA-1054 has a different hardware configuration for network Bands. It will only satisfy 60% of the network availability in Australia.

This means call drops, no LTE in the CBD, and other oddities. Buy a TA-1068 if you want to have decent mobile coverage across the world, and the ability to upgrade the software to the latest security patch and OS version.

As well as not having to deal with the chinese pop-up ads courtesy of tencent (China’s ‘Google’).

This phone is awesome. It’s processing speed is fast (Octa-core 1. 4 GHz Cortex-A53) and plenty of RAM at 3GB so no freezing up. It came with Nougat 7. 1. 1 but there was an update to Oreo 8. 1 which I did and it runs great on the phone.

This is my first Nokia Android phone since Nokia Windows (years back). Nokia knows how to build great phones. My last phone was Motorola G4 but ever since Lenovo bought them out, their quality and service has gone down hill but Lenovo builds great laptops.

This phone is my first for having an Aluminium case which is awesome as it doesn’t feel like a cheap phone. Now this phone was first released back in January of 2017 so it’s over 1 years old but still a great top of the line phone but a lot cheaper than the Nokia 9 that’s coming out.

This phone has a 3,000 mAh battery so it will last me the whole day with heavy Internet usage (except for YouTube). It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen which is an old product (Nokia 9 will have Gorilla Glass 5).

You can use 2 nano sim cards or 1 sim card and 1 micro memory card. It does come with a pair of headphones but they are crappy. I am using this phone with Straight Talk AT&T.

I’ve had a few Samsung phones , pretty much all top of the range or latest models until. Recently I lost one so I thought I’d try this rather than big bucks of a new Galaxy S9 to replace my S7 edge. This was 130 2nd hand.

And It’s great. It does the job ! Nice and snappy to use and Im really happy with it. I’m not going to upgrade the OS if I can help it, They seem to deliberately slow older phones down. It’s bigger than my lost 7 Edge too.

This isn’t a review about specs just the fact I don’t miss anything and i have saved ‘s because I could afford to buy this outright AND now I can reduce my contract to sign only and gone from 36pm to 11pm on my monthly contract.

You can get a techy review elsewhere but the the camera is good, the OS is fast, the sound is good the call quality is good. no complaints so far. Yes I can get the latest mobile phone without paying out 800 + up front and get it “included” in a 24 month contract but It really doesn’t seem worth it when this phone covers all bases.

I don’t require much of a phone. I don’t play games, etc. This is a gorgeous phone with dual Sims and a nice form. HOWEVER. It will barely run with only 3 tabs open. The screen is extremely frustrating, refusing to move at times, and then suddenly scrolling 20 pages at lightning speed.

This phone will no doubt anger you if you are used to anything over 50 bucks. Don’t buy for the look. You get what you pay for. This phone has an “amazing quad core processor” but the memory is severely underpowered and dated.

Maybe adequate 8 years ago.

Didn’t know brand but trusted Abt to sell good phones. Very pleased with all aspects of phone — speed, screen size, nice little features like auto-adjusting brightness, reliable response to touch, protective partial case, etc.

I bought this phone because Nokia’s relatively recent flagship, the Pureview 9, is obsolete, as it requires the 3g network. I bought this to hold me over for a year or so. The price is good, but the phone definitely lags a bit.

It also uses the Micro-USB instead of USB-C for its input, so it’s a bit outdated there. The display also doesn’t seem to refresh as quickly; there’s a noticable display difference between this display and the display on more expensive phones.

However, for the price, it’s decent. The fingerprint scanner works well (unlike the disaster of a sensor in the Pureview 9), a headphone jack is included, and the memory can be expanded with a Micro-SD card.

Overall though, I’d rather have a phone that doesn’t lag as much, but for $100 it will hold you off until you can justify buying a more expensive phone.

So I bought this phone in fall of 2021 after I lost my last (Samsung) in a pool. Loved the style and the price was unbeatable. Plus Nokia makes good phones, right!? Ugh. Wrong. I’ve had so much trouble with this phone.

It was mostly between running apps and switching between them. The phone would freeze so bad I couldn’t even unlock it fast enough. Especially to answer phone calls. I constantly updated the software and it didn’t change a thing.

So I stopped using it for a few months or so and bought a moto g 2021 (love). Well that’s getting fixed so here I am using the Nokia again, temporarily. I googled some troubleshooting ideas. Nothing.

Googled the constant error message that pops up “quickstep app not responding. ” Turns out it is the home launcher. It helps navigate your home settings and the phone in general. So what I did was go to play store and downloaded a new one.

I am using Nova, set it as your main home launcher in settings. It’s been 10 hours since I’ve downloaded it and it has made such a difference. I can navigate through apps and open and close out of them without freezing or errors.

It runs like a normal phone. I hope this helps you as much as it has for me.

First let me say on looks alone , this phone is nice. It was a breeze to set up. Mine also came with a clear case that I thought was a nice touch ! However that is where the nice things ends. I did not like that it did not have the arrow, circle , and square , you know the ones that we are used to using to navigate on most phones.

This one you have to swipe from the bottom upward to get out of whatever you are looking at. It is a major pain , I kept running into the google assistant popping up every single time. I thought it might be user error , but nope.

I handed the phone to my 19 year old son and it did him the same way. It was very annoying ! That would take some definite getting used too ! The speaker is loud which I love but this one is easy to cover up and get muffled.

This phone also freezes constantly and is very sluggish. This is also very very annoying ! This phone might be good for a VERY light user but definitely not for heavy ones. Pros- 6 inch plus screen – not a lot of bloatware ( all makers should be doing this ! ) – fingerprint recognition – facial recognition – easy set up – decent camera Cons- screen freezes constantly – no arrow , circle , or square to navigate – you have to swipe upward to get out of screen – speaker is easy to cover up.

Its ok, its very old, and was second hand, so didnt expect too much. I just needed a temporary phone.

Too bad Motorola dropped this bomb on the market. The casing is nice, battery life is great, the size is really good. It’s like they did no trouble shooting whatsoever. I have had this phone for 8 months now and find so many irksome mistakes that really impact quality.

Like the screen always going black, email draft saving closing the window while typing, screens popping up for notifications while engaged in calls. Always having to Close 3-4 windows to gain access to the keypad while on a call.

Features like rotate screen and screen swipe turn on when disengaged. The alarm clock is inconsistent working whenever. The vibrate feature doesn’t turn off when off. Unending problems with dialing out from contacts, adding contacts, viewing phone numbers, etc etc Definitely a low functioning device.

This is my last Motorola (#5) in a row. The first 4 were good qlty/value, but it’s just not there on this device.

This phone is great overall. The call quality for me has been good. Callers hear me clear and I understand them as well. The processor on the device is decently fast enough, I really haven’t had too much lag or slowdown while using or switching apps.

Battery life lasts about a day for me with moderate to heavy use. Internal memory is kind of disappointing. 32 GB would be okay if a good chunk wasn’t used for the OS and some preloaded apps. I’m starting to see budget devices offering 64 GB of internal storage, I hope in the future Moto starts doing that as well, so I would advise getting an external memory card.

I like the main camera on the phone. It takes really decent pictures with little to no noise. The wide angle camera is okay as long as you’re in really good lighting, and I really haven’t played with the macro camera too much.

To me, having a macro camera on any phone is unnecessary. But I have to say, if you download the gcam camera app on the Moto G Fast, you can really tell the difference in picture quality. The pics are a bit more vibrant and defined, plus having night sight is a bonus as well, especially with low light.

It’s almost like having a budget pixel without breaking the bank, and shows the true potential these budget cameras can have if these companies could put a bit more focus on the camera hardware. Overall I would recommend this phone.

This is my third Moto phone following the E5 plus and G7 play. This company proves you don’t have to break the bank and spend hundreds or $1000 to have a good experience on cell phones, and offers better value for the money compared to the budget offerings of Samsung or LG.

When it comes to a phone these days, there are so many things to consider. I mean, things that are not even in the potential phone’s hands. Like, choosing a network. Deciding on which launcher fits out needs.

And hell, even the storage capacity with the option to insert an sd card. But when it comes to the things that the phone is responsible, the question remains, ‘why the g fast?. ” The answer is simple.

Its cheap. Dirt cheap. Im not going to go spend twelve hundred dollars on a phone. The chances of me getting drunk and dropping it are just too high. So, I went with the one I can afford to buy and to lose.

That was the g fast. As far as owning it goes. Its alright. I have mint mobile, so the thing does work on carriers outside of the big 3. I put in a 256gb sd to get some much needed additional storage.

It doesnt do anything for the ram/memory though, well as of yet. I will look into converting storage memory into ram memory. More on that later, maybe. The phone does tend to stall every once in awhile and on reboot not recognize the sd card.

Just reboot it and it will be fine. As for the launcher, i went with Microsoft Launcher so i can access Office. Its a thing of beauty. The phone can handle it with no issue. And thats really all i can say about the thing.

I sont use the camera much, except to scan scratch off tickets and it does a good job of that. Oh, the battery is good. Lasts for the amount of time that i need it to. However, doesnt have wireless charging.

Thats a real bummer. Other thatn that, it still works and I havent lost it yet! So, if youre like me and go drink and have fun and wake up in weird places with and without your phone, depending on the day, this phone is for you! Its so cheap you wont be too upset when, not if, when you lose it.

Perfect size phone for my hands and eyes. Great battery life. Excellent call and camera quality. Comes with a high quality protective case. Hard to see how you’d get hundreds of dollars worth of quality or utility in a more expensive phone.

Worth more than the price except only one minor problem: volume level adjustment not as desired , because it is digitally discrete and not analog wise continuous.

Terrible phone so I don’t know where to begin. So many bugs. The smart lock rarely works and the lock screen glitches all the time. Sometimes it takes me several minutes to unlock my phone. It turns off on me for no reason, camera is delayed often, the texting literally has a mind of its own and copies words by itself or autocorrects a properly spelled word into either a word that doesn’t exist or a misspelled word.

Camera delay even in good lighting. Apps fail all the time. I’ve had this phone not 4 months and it had been a problem since day one. NOT WORTH 250. This is the second A model I’ve had and my last cheaper one was better than this A50.

That one had similar issues. Even now it’s giving me problems writing this review. I want to destroy this phone.

Bang-for-buck I feel that the A50 is the best smartphone available. Camera quality is as good as the top line Samsungs and exceeds my friend’s new I-phone images in still AND video in every category.

(Sharpness, depth, saturation, contrast, clarity, etc. ) The display is equally as good as the camera with many of the same attributes. Overall phone performance is excellent in spite of lower RAM than higher priced phones.

(If you don’t overload it with apps it should present no problems. ) Charge time is reasonable and amazingly lasts through most full days of high use without recharge. So minor are any “issues” that they are negligible.

(eg: the earphone jack is on the bottom which for me is not convenient, but with Bluetooth does it really matter?) May sound a bit crazy but after a couple of months of use I was so satisfied that I bought a 2nd A50 and keep it synced with my daily use A50 “just in case”.

My businesses require constant connectivity with the net, files, contacts, etc, and being without these things for any duration is not an option. So I have two A50’s for less than half the price of one upper level Samsung or I-phone.

(And the peace of mind is well worth it to me. ) I am a picky person and usually find fault with everything, but I am so satisfied with my A50 that nothing negative even enters my mind. That, for me, is something I can seldom say.

If you choose an A50 I doubt you will be disappointed.

A couple of older relatives of mine cannot use a smartphone no matter how many times you try to show them so I wanted something more simpler for them. After purchasing the white version of this for one family member and it being a success, the other family member wanted one so I’ve bought them this grey one.

They love it! Before, they had to get me to read all their text messages and take photo’s, now they can do it themselves, it’s great! I would reccomend purchasing a memory card (micro sd) for the photos as it doesn’t have much memory.

I purchased this for my 84 yr old father. He had a similar one from Doro previous. Doesn’t sing or dance, phone not father. Simple functionality. Used for text and phone only. This comes with a basic camera.

Buttons easy to see and manipulate. Screen a good size. Volume is good and a speaker phone function. Pleased with it, suits the purpose for which I wanted it for.

Pros: Easy to hold, not too heavy. Good button size and display. Cons: I want to use predictive text mostly, but am annoyed that it’s not easy to use capital letters and then complete the word in lower case.

unless I’m being a dumb senior and missing a trick! Also, my ancient mobile made it easy to show when a stored number was landline or mobile, but when transferred across they come up as, say John and John1 and I have to keep checking which it is.

Looks nice. Works fine with included apps, but if you download more than 2 or 3 apps, the phone will lag. If you need to send messages quick, this phone is not for you. The camera takes about 30 seconds to load, then freezes for another 30 after each pic is taken.

There is no ‘gallery’ to view your pics. they get scrambled up in a ‘files’ folder, leaving you to search for them. The phone freezes during phone calls, to which I’ve wasted about 1000 minutes, because I can’t hang it up.

and you can’t remove the battery, forcing you to just wait for it to work again. You have to constantly exit out of apps and restart them because the phone isn’t powerful enough to start them up most of the time.

This phone may be good for playing games or using minimum tools or apps, but if you need to use anything on it quick. I would not recommend this phone. It’s simply a toy, and rarely compatible with anything not already installed on it.

If you want a smartphone for basic functionality, go for this model. It is not a heavy-duty machine which is clear from the RAM. Only con I found with this was the gooogle assistant button; I didn’t need it.

But that is easily remedied.

This 6. 2″ phone is substantially better than my previous nokia one plus. It has small improvements in all the areas i. e,small improvements in response time from keypress to an open browser window and the insertion of a nanosim is very easy compared to other phones.

This is a refurbished unlocked phone from Tesco and the battery within this is good so a new phone would be superior to this one with regards to battery life. Im running android 9 as i like the bookmark tags for chrome on my homepage, although I will upgrade to android 10 eventually.

The disadvantage may be the handling of the phone as it has a 6. 2″ screen (although I utilise a mobile flip phone case so i haven’t directly held the phone really). Nokia were once one of the best and for 65 i think this refurbished model will last about 12-14 months.

If your looking for a phone for multitasking in this price range then it would be okay.
