This underlayment is good quality at a great price. I am using it under some vinyl plank flooring and it works great and is super easy to install. Lowe’s costed. 30 cents a square foot for almost as good product.
You can’t go wrong with this product. The seller bulk shipped 5 rolls in a big box with no problems. I highly recommend this product.
Enjoy a quiet experience as you walk around the house with the QuietWalk Luxury Vinyl Underlayment. This fiber underlayment is ideally designed for luxury vinyl tile, plank, and multi-layer floorings like WPC, SPC, and rigid core vinyl planks.
The underlayment goes directly under your floor’s surface and provides superior sound reflection by absorbing the sound and reducing how far it travels around the house. Plus, the floor protector features Dri-Wick moisture-resistant fibers for the utmost durability.
During the winter months, if you want to install heated flooring, the underlayment is thermally insulated and compatible with the QuietWarmth heating flooring system. Enjoy ample coverage around the house, as this underlayment covers about 360 square feet.
Constructed from recycled materials, long-lasting underlayment provides a high-performing product while still being environmentally-friendly. With the excellent sound reduction and moisture-resistance, the QuietWalk Luxury Vinyl Underlayment is the ultimate flooring complement for your home.
We had installed this under an SPC flooring with pad attached. Quietwalk says it will work under this type of flooring. We had noticed our flooring breaking at the locks and unhinging over a few months as well as a spongey feeling while walking on it.
I had reached out to quiet walk. They had us pay for an inspector ,$500 out of pocket, to check the problem. The inspector said it was installation as well as the underlay contributing to the problem.
They denied paying for anything. 2 Months later we had made the difficult choice to rip the underlay out and again be without a floor for about a week. IT FIXED THE PROBLEM!! Should have never used this product and I am warning anyone else to avoid this at all costs with Pad attached SPC!!.
Quality product that significantly decreased the hollow sound of walking across the floor while providing a pleasant little cushion to the vinyl tile surface under-foot. Provides another degree of separation from the concrete pad.
Fast and simple install. Made noticeable improvements and pleased with the result. Did the complete basement floor with it and recommend. Would use it again without hesitation.
Excellent underlayment product, great price. Has to be ordered from Home Depot online, not carried in the store. Delivery to store for pickup was quick – only 4 days & well worth the wait. I highly recommend this product.
The choice of flooring underlayment is an often overlooked, but still crucial decision when updating, renovating, or installing new lamiante or floating flooring. Protect your click-together and floating floors from moisture while dampening sound with the MP Global Quiet Walk Acoustical Floating/Laminate Flooring Underlayment.
This acoustic floating flooring underlayment is designed for use with laminate flooring, floating engineered wood, floating bamboo, and wood/plastic composite (WPC 5mm or thicker) floors. This laminate flooring underlayment is even approved to use with in-floor heating systems, letting heat permeate the surface while protecting flooring from thermal shock.
Made of recycled fabric fibers, this interlocking floor mat absorbs and dampen sounds. The floating floor underlyament prevents sound from traveling to other rooms, making click-together floating floors sound solid underfoot.
This convenient sound-muffling floor underlayment also wicks moisture away from your flooring and subfloor. The moisture-wicking underlayment uses DriWick tehnology to wick away harmful moisture from the subfloor while the attached vapor barrier protects the overlying flooring from moisture.
The barrier is not a suitable underlayment for ceramic tile, glued-down wood, sheet-vinyl, or VCT flooring material. This MP Global Quiet Walk Acoustical Floating/Laminate Flooring Underlayment comes as a 6- by 60-foot roll for 360 square feet.
Great product, easy to install, the floor is very quiet. Great price too. The material is high quality felt like fibre that is very firm and supports the laminate well. Our subfloor was not very smooth and the Quietwalk covered the imperfections perfectly.
The Roberts 70-193 Super Felt Premium Underlayment is a 4mm thick insulating underlayment made to reduce noise and help cushion flooring. By absorbing noise instead of deflecting it, Super Felt provides a deep, rich sound.
This felt underlayment is made from recycled fibers and compressed using a high heat manufacturing process. The film overlay protects engineered and laminate flooring from any moisture from the subfloor and includes an adhesive strip and 1-3/4-Inch overlap for linking multiple rolls.
Super felt adds a great sound quality to the laminate flooring. It also provides better insulation than other types of underlayment. It is easy to lay and splice thanks to the “pretaped” sides. Only a minimal amount of underlayment tape may be needed.
It can be somewhat difficult to cut. If you are using a razor knife or carpet knife, keep a new blade in the knife and you won’t have a problem. You may only be able to make a few cuts before the blade will dull and not cut clean.
I used it on two different laminates of different thickness in the same house. You really don’t hear or feel a difference.
My 19 year old son and I (an obese 60 year old lady) recently put down a beautiful laminate floor after removing the wall to wall carpet. This was the first time for me and the second time for him. He had never put underlay lay on before.
He had no trouble whatsoever laying it down and cutting it to size. Each roll did a 10 by 10 foot room. The final results were impressive.
For use prior to the installation of ceramic tile, natural stone, resilient flooring, carpet, wood and parquet. Can also be applied to concrete, WonderBoardĆ‚Ā and cement backer board, sheet vinyl, PVC, concrete terrazzo and stone.
Can be applied up to 1 in thick. ASTM rated for ceramic tile installations over wood subfloors with joists up to 24 in o. c. Controlled cured technology eliminates installation problems of bond failure, crumbling, mildew and staining of resilient flooring due to free-moisture.
Moldguard technology resists mold and mildew growth. One 50 lb (22. 68 kg) bag mixes with 6-3/4 qt (6. 1 L) of water.
I have a small washroom in the basement and the floor wasn’t level, sloping almost 2 inches from one corner to the other. Granted, this was for drainage in the basement but is not desireable or necessary in this particular spot.
I’ve never used self leveling cemtnt before but chose this because of the mostly positive reviews. I built up the doorway opening and then closed off any exit points below the wall framing using backer rod.
I also made up an 24”x18″ kneeling float (scrap boards with 4 #12 x 3″ screws protruding from the bottom) to allow me to stand in the middle of the room to pour and trowel and stay above the cement.
I used three bags of the compound / 3 pours and mixed as per directions using just over 5L of water per bag. By the time I got to the last pour the previous two had fully self leveled and the third pour brough it up about a final 1/4 inch.
The finish was perfectly level and required minimal work with the trowel. I was VERY pleased with the results.

This MP Global Quiet Walk Acoustical Floating/Laminate Flooring Underlayment comes as a 3- by 33. 4-foot roll for 100 square feet.
This was the first time using this underlayment; it’s much sturdier and thicker than some of the other underlayment that I’m accustomed to using. The side that rests on the concrete reminds me of carpet padding, just not as spongy.
The side that the flooring rests on is an orange, rubber-like coating. I did notice a slight odor when rolling out the underlayment; however this smell quickly dissipated within a couple a minutes. I didn’t have problems cutting the material to size or marking with a permanent marker.
I used duct tape to bind the seams together as indicated on the instructions on the back of the roll overall this product met all expectations.
Installed in a loft over a plywood floor. It is definitely quiet and it also provides some forgiveness when the floor is not quite level so it is worth the money. Easy to work with and saves you time in the long run.
QuietWalk is a premium recycled fiber underlayment built for luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile and multi-layer flooring like WPC, SPC, and rigid core vinyl planks. Suited for both floating and glue down installations either in residential and commercial applications.
Impressive sound ratings (providing exceptional through-the-floor and footfall noise protection) make this underlayment the ideal underlayment to be installed under LVT, LVF, and MLF flooring. Provides additional comfort to the entire home during seasonal temperature changes.
Recycled fibers allow installation over concrete to “breathe” – managing vapors from becoming bulk moisture. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from harmful moisture and alkalinity.
Treated with anti-microbial to inhibit mold and mildew growth. STC rating of 62, IIC rating of 70 and Delta IIC of 28.
My husband is re doing our floor and we figured we’d give one a try. He said that he liked that it had a very easy peel strip so you can stick the extra strip of plastic to the next piece. The directions are easy to follow and the underlayment cuts with scissors or a box knife.
It is easy to work with and is a good value. It also does truly help with the volume as well as we have a basement below, so walking and running on that is annoying. So needless to say we will be buying more for the other rooms.
The Quietwalk luxury vinyl underlayment is a really great product. We used ours in a playhouse we were building in the backyard and it has turned out to be a really great find. This underlayment has less noise and it has a little cushion under your feet.
it also has a dry-wick technology that helps keep the floor dry. It was very easy to install. It has a built-in seam seal. It is made from recycled materials. I love this product and I would definitely recommend for anyone that is putting down a new flooring.

When I started to cut the roll to fit the corners, the green plastic barrier started to shred apart as it it was kept in storage for many years past its lifetime. Not sure if this was a return item but I can say this item is no where close to the quality of felt underlay that I bought from another company (different brand) a month ago.
I had to use vapor barrier to replace the green plastic.
QEP 72003 1/4-Inch (6mm) Natural Cork Underlayment reduces sound transmission from both the surface of a floor, as well as through the floor to living spaces below. It is engineered for high performance under porcelain, ceramic, marble, slate, stone, laminate, engineered wood and hardwood flooring.
The natural cork underlayment also acts as a crack isolation membrane that resists transfer of stress cracks from subfloor through to flooring surfaces. Underlayment is easy to install and can be used under ceramic tile, stone, marble, engineered hardwood and laminate floors.
Best installation practices include Roberts Cork Adhesive and a 75 pound roller.
I have order 3 rolls of cork over the last year and they arrive in great shape. It’s easy to rollout, cut and install. A roll is heavy but can be handled by a single person. Have some weights on hand to hold down the ends as there is a tendency for them to curl.
Once the laminate is on top there is no problem. The overall benefit I found are; firm footing without the hardness off concert, insulates and helps reduce the chill from the concert and deadens some of the sound.
The product quality in regards to the material is just fine. However, the description states it is 25′ (300″). Mine was 4″ short. I needed exactly 25′, and I can’t stand when manufacturers cut lengths shorter than stated.
So don’t plan on getting all the 25′ if you buy this. Short changed.
I needed a little more thump to my system. Well this subwoofer did not disappoint. The low frequencies are absolutely phenominal. Extremely powerful and clear. This is a professional grade sub and makes any audio system sound 10 times better.
I would recommend this to anyone. It literally shakes the house.
MP Global Products Insulayment Acoustical Fibre Underlayment for glued-down and nailed down hardwood or engineered wood floors. Simply glue the pad to a structurally solid concrete or wood sub-floor, and then adhere the planks directly to it.
For ceramic tile use latex modified thin set mortar both below and above the Insulayment.
Easy to work with, very good soundproofing, and nice support. Looks Great, Comfortable, Easy to Install, Effective, Great Instructions, High Quality of Material We used the underlayment to protect the new laminate we installed in our upstairs.
The barrier protects from water and condensation and also provides a dampener between floor levels. It is very easy to cut with a utility knife and stays in place without too much effort. I highly recommend using this on ground floors and upstairs.
Looks Great, Comfortable, Easy to Install, Effective, Great Instructions, Material is High Quality The extra cushion helps level out floorboards.
Definitely a good choice! Although I did not use this insulation for its intended purpose, I must say it works very well. I removed all of the interior trim panels from my vehicle, and lined the back of them using this insulation and then reinstalled the panels.
Road noise has been cut down by an estimated 40 percent. Road noise is much louder than what’s going on below most home’s floors, so I can imagine that this will have a huge impact if installed under your laminate or wood flooring.
This product really tied the job together and help make it a project I was proud of. I really liked how the MP Global Insulayment Accoustical Recycled Fiber Underlayment did exactly what I expected. Made my floors more quiet and more comfortable AND helps keep them warmer.
I would recommend this product, and am glad I decided to make it a part of my project.

This underlayment is great to work with. The grid pattern helps to accurately cut and fit to your floor. If you take the time to make sure it is squared up with your starting wall it will help you check your progress as you add each row of flooring by giving you a guide on the grid pattern that you can verify that you are not getting out of alignment.
When you add another section it is important that you line up the tabs correctly so the grid stays accurate. If you aren’t using tape seal for moisture it helps to tape some of the tabs with packing tape to prevent separating as you work your way across the room.
It does hump a bit but as you add flooring it flattens right out. I have worked with rolled underlayment but this is much easier. A brand name product but at a much lower price than the boxes.
QEP Aquabar “B” floor and tile underlayment is an extremely effective moisture vapour retarder for use in a variety of interior construction applications. Consisting of two layers of Kraft paper laminated with asphalt, Aquabar “B” is a non-reinforced 30/30/30 duplex type Grade “B” paper.
In the battle against interior moisture damage, the best defence is a strong offence. When you block moisture vapour from creeping underneath finish materials or reaching moisture sensitive substrates, you help increase the useful life and appearance of surface finishes.
To help win the battle, the Fortifiber Building Systems Group offers Aquabar “B” as inexpensive insurance to reduce moisture-related problems.
The quality is good in terms of the thickness. However, it smells quite strong and the smell lasts quite long. Any chemical components or coatings are our biggest concern in a house. Had to return them.
With a thickness of 3. 2mm, impact insulation class rating of 72 (IIC) and sound transmission class rating of 66 (STC) LessCare LCU3-100 acoustical-pro underlayment reduces both reflective noise and through the floor sound transference for extra quiet, premium floor feel.
The underlayment comes in rolls and can be trimmed to fit any room size and shape. Walk in silence and comfort with LessCare!.
I was a little apprehensive about the purchase, due to the fact I would be using it under Garage Trac snap together tiles in the garage, but my dreams came true. It went down easy and feels thick to the touch.
It doesn’t tear easy, but you still need to watch it when sliding around on it—-mostly your shoes. The Plastic tiles laid flat on the underlayment and were easy to stomp on and snap together, without damaging the underlayment.
Only minor indentations were made at points of impact, but went away after a few minutes, so I carried on! The floor looks great and with the underlayment it feels great as well! It is quiet when walking on it and has a bit of cushion to it and the weight of moving heavy cabinets, 800 lb.
Motorcycle and my car rolling in and out of the garage and parking in one spot for several days at a time have not seemed to bother it. Also, i can walk on the floor barefoot now without freezing my feet! It was a toss up between this and rubber, but the rubber was too expensive, so I took a chance with this (after extensive research, of course) and I am very glad that I did!!! Only time will tell how well it holds up, but for now; I am extremely satisfied and would recommend this for the garage or especially inside your home.
I will buy this again for future projects!!! Thanks!!!.
I have been a builder for forty years and we installed 900 feet of flooring in our personal home using this padding This is an excellent product very good firm padding for click flooring and about 1/3 the cost of any other comparable product I have found.
It seems to be the same as the orange padding at Home Depot.
LessCare LessCare underlayment is essential for installation under any flooring surface. The underlayment perfectly conceals minor sub floor imperfections and reduce noise from walking while attached moisture barrier film protects it from harmful moisture.
The product is ideal for installation under laminate, engineered and hardwood flooring and can also be installed on all types of wood sub-flooring and concrete. LessCare foam underlayment is designed for a better noise reduction and a longer floor lifetime.
Used in basement installation with LVP flooring and it was easy to install and provided great vapor barrier and a bit of padding. This underlayment was very cost-effective compared to others I compared when shopping.
Project turned out great! I will definitely use this product again on future projects.
I’m glad I discovered this product. It’s much better than the product I was previously using. My contractor that’s installing the LVP flooring likes it too. I plan to buy more for future rehab projects I have planned.
Generally this seems to be a good product. It came with a “V” shaped tear with each arm about 1 1/2 inches that extended through several layers as I unrolled it. I did have a hard time squaring it at times.
I stapled 1 corner and maybe due to slight stretching it always seemed to bunch up some when I got to the 3rd and 4th corners. It seems sturdy though. It’s only been in place about a week so who knows.
Overall I’m satisfied and don’t anticipate any problems.
DRICORE Subfloor R+ is the first and most important step towards creating a new living space as warm and comfortable as any other space in your home. DRICORE is the 1-step engineered subfloor solution that is specifically designed for basements.
Concrete continually releases moisture. DRICORE Subfloor R plus panels have been designed with air gap technology to keep basement floors dry, comfortable and cozy throughout the entire year. DRICORE Subfloor R plus combines high density Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and extruded polystyrene (XPS).
with an R-Value of 3, DRICORE Subfloor R plus provides greater insulation against cold concrete. Enjoy a warm, comfortable basement for years to come. XPS’closed-cell structure resists moisture and maintains R-value.
DRICORE Subfloor R plus panels are fast and easy to install, a typical 500 sq. ft. basement installs in an afternoon.
Easily installed. Feels good underfoot. Accommodates the bumps and dips of my 70-year old basement floor. I was able to modify the panels for obstructions (e. g. telepost, water meter). Shims functioned as expected.
(I have only one quibble: to accommodate the upcoming carpet installation, I screwed down every other panel along the perimeter, plus the room’s centre panel. Now, whenever I step on the highest area in the floor, the panels there feel ‘squishy,’ as if I hadn’t shimmed them enough.
Maybe, with the increased house humidity of summer, the panels have expanded slightly; and with the perimeter screwed down instead of floating, the floor has buckled upwards ever so slightly. ).
This is the 2nd time I’ve used Dricore products on a basement renovation and I couldn’t be happier. I priced out doing a traditional sleeper, foam board and plywood vs. Dricore and found that it was about 20 cents more per square foot to do Dricore R+.
In my opinion, the time savings alone is well worth going the Dricore route, despite an additional cost. Panels are easy to maneuver, can be laid quickly, can be cut easily, and provide a finished subfloor in a fraction of the time that it would take to do the traditional method for a basement subfloor.
I’ve already noticed a huge difference in how it feels temperature-wise in the basement – especially on some of the cold winter days we had in early January. If I ever do a basement renovation again, I’ll be using this product 100%.

So, I had a customer pick this out for a remodeled home i sold them. First, I love Sams, I personally buy alot of things at Sam’s and this review is by no means a knock against them. This floor has some major issues that I think make it a stay away from on remodeling projects.
IT is suppose to be easy to put together, but it ended up being a nightmare for my installer. It will not stay together. I think the problem is unless your floor is perfect, it will not lock or stay together.
I have remodeled thousands of homes and its hard to find a perfect floor. Do your installer a favor and stay away from this product. Mine refused to go any further with it unless we switched to a different product.
We put this brand of flooring (just a different color) in our rental home approximately 8 years ago and it still looks like the day we put it down. When we built our personal residence 2 years ago, we decided to use the same thing to hold up against grandkids, granddogs and for easy upkeep.
We absolutely love it. Some people turned up their noses when we said we were not installing hardwood, but it’s just so beautiful, and we get so many compliments. Our installer loved working with the product and he said it was top notch and great quality.
This color is perfect for our home. We would not hesitate to use this flooring again.
Terrible product! The lips on the planks are very narrow and do not hold well. They are also very thin card orard and break off easily. When they lock on the ends, entire rows pop out. Took three days to install in a small room (17 cartons) due to them not staying connected and having to do over and over.
I have used Pergo in another home and there is no comparison to the ease of installation and the quality. Pergo is also very forgiving of errors. This product requires very percise connections and then as stated before, does not stay together easily.
I would have returned if I did not have to carry down stairs, then through the yard to the garage load in the vehicle, then unload at the store. I would never purchase again and do not recommend. at all!.
After installation and before applying the finish flooring, an underlayment must be installed over the subfloor to provide a level surface, to act as a moisture barrier, and/or to serve as a sound barrier.
The underlayment should be laid in the same direction as the flooring and should be butted tightly together and taped at the seams.
