Recently purchased the Strike King tour grade titanium umb rig for a big open tournament on a local lake that is well known for its huge shad population its one of those lakes that in the summer just getting a bite is a huge obstacle and i fish a tournament every week between NC.

SC. GA. &VA so i know that its just not the time of year go be chunking a big A-rig with water tempts in the highest ranges we see all year and on top of that its a cooling lake for a huge power plant so they average a little higher than normal lakes we fish.

Luckily i was able to pre fish 2 days before i found a few deep points where fish were schooling a month ago but on bait about a inch long and its hard to match that hatch but soon as we pulled up on a big secondary point my son noticed a big group of shad sprinkle the top and a few bass came up on em i had a umb rig ive been throwing for years and it just didnt produce i tied on the Strike King umb rig with igs smaller profile and my 3rd cast was 4lbs 3oz and caughf 2 more 3lbs or better i loaded up fished it this past Saturday weighed in 24lbs 3 oz for 2nd place and big fish with a 6lbs 13oz out of 103 boats ind lost 1st by 4oz and had him beside the boat this is a awesome umb rig Strike King figured out the perfect materials to make it lighter and stronger and a much smaller profile it really catches fish even when most would say it not supposed to.

Love it due to size and flexibility. When I reel very fast from slow or sing, swish or jerk my rod back, the rig closes and looks more realistic like a school tightening up because of predictors nearby.

This makes the baits look more natural. Love them. A Must have in You umbrella rigging for Stripers or A rigging Bass.

This A-rig looks nice out of the package but the first time I used it two wires failed at the crimp. After the first one I figured it may have been a fluke but after the second one failed I went back to my Yum Flash Mob.

Not a good situation when you’re on a school of 5 lb’ers!.

These are top quality lures that fish incredibly. I have caught several striped bass up to 40 lbs on these. They are expensive, but they are very effective and well made

We troll the white and chartreuse tandems during the trophy rockfish season. These are well made with good hooks and soft shads.

A good quality parachute rig. If the bass are there and you know how to troll, it’s a sure catch. If you don’t know what your doing, it’s an expensive rig to lose.

Used these off the Apache pier in Myrtle beach South Carolina in October 21. The mackerel run really wasn’t in full swing but I caught a few. This in combination with a rod rocker and a 12’ rod would be an awesome combination.

The gold spoon would get the mackerel and the silver seems to get the bluefish. Make sure you have spares! Tight lines!!.

I have great luck with this tree jigging on the pier for Spanish and Blues!! I use a 2 oz or 1oz spoon on the bottom depending on the water. Just a really good tree for the pier , less effort than a plug!.

These are so much fun to pull when you’re in the macks thick. Pure chaos getting multiple fish in the boat at the same time.

I’d been looking at starting to use Ned rig set up and this is a great way to break into using the system. The kit is a value over buying the pieces separately. The variety of jig heads and and different shaped and colored bodies is the way to go.

Has exactly what you’ll need to get started on Ned Rig fishing. I’m getting back into fishing this season & had zero luck with the usual gear I was using. So recently I used this Ned setup for the first time at my local lake and caught a bass on my third cast out.

I gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical. I was wrong. Fish must really like the way this stuff presents itself. Try it and see for yourself.

I do a lot of river fishing locally which means smallmouth bass. Never met a smallie that could turn down a Ned rig. This rig will catch any size smallie and is hands down my favorite river bait.

Used these trying for fluke while fishing from kayak. Didn’t catch anything. Don’t know whether to blame these rigs, bait used or what. That being said these worked ok otherwise.

Used the rig twice and hooks already dull. The teaser hook has too long of a leader which tends to wrap around the bottom hook. Had to re rig the top hook to keep it working. Would not purchase again.

Cheaply made. Hard, stiff Monofilament line with way too much line memory. Line was also rough and not smoothe as you would expect a brand new rig to be. They did do the job but I was not impressed at all with the quality.

You’d be better off tying your own.

As always Tide Rite is a very good brand when it pertains to fishing rigs. Always made strong and to last. Also made for almost every type of fishing. So far only brand I buy

When I ordered these I was expecting an Al Linder type heavy jig with a large flat head which would sit on the bottom. These are thin headed jigs which are light, and would work probably best in a rocky bottom to avoid snags.

I use the Yum Money Head Jig with both Cabela’s swimbaits and Keitech swimbaits with excellent results. The hooks are extremely sharp, the hook shank is plenty long enough for all sizes of swimbaits, and the painted jig head is very durable.

And I have yet to straighten a hook on a fish or snag. After trying several different brands, this is the only swimbait jighead I use. Give ’em a try, you won’t be disappointed!.

These jigs make it simple to setup an Alabama rig that is well balanced. The jigs are good quality with a sharp hook.

I love fishing Zoom Super Flukes, especially shallow. It sinks slowly and is very flexible. The tail kicks nicely when worked as a jerkbait. I catch a ton of bass on these, and the pickerel like them, too (which for me is a bonus because taking a pickerel home for dinner is a great treat after a day bass fishing.

) I rig it weightless Texas style on a wide gap hook and it works great. My favorite colors for clear, highly pressured water are: watermelon red and bluegill.

Love the flukes. They are cheap and very effective way to catch some nice bass. Had to try the lemon shad color for my river since chartreuse is a top producer. I think these actually do better with the added pearl color.

First started using flukes because of a tiktok video I saw of some dude cathching everything with these. Landed my PB off of a white pearl. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I tried the WATERMELON RED since I saw so many people commenting about this color.

First time using this color yesterday and landed 3 fish in a matter of 30 minutes. THEY ATTACK IT! Favorite lure to use and I can use it all day.

I bought this specific color (pilchard) to mimic the greenies and they worked great. I was fishing for Spanish mackerel at Sebastian Inlet and casting next to people using Gotcha lures, silver spoons, and jigs and I was easily outfishing them.

I was casting into the breeze and was still getting a decent distance thanks to the casting weights inside the X-Rap. I would recommend the X-Rap for anyone fishing for Spanish mackerel. In my experience, it also catches plenty of bluefish, but I would recommend changing the hooks out to 4X hooks.

The hooks that come with the lure tends to bend too easily from the violent head shaking bluefish tend to do.

I have been using Rapalas for years and I have caught plenty of fish on them. Lately I’ve been getting into Smallmouth fishing and have found that they are partial to Fluorescent colors. The X-Rap 10 in Hot-Head, Hot-Pink, Clown and Silver Fluorescent Chartreuse UV are deadly for Smallies.

This lure has all the action of their more expensive cousins at less than half the price. They suspend, they can be jerked, walked underwater, snapped, and whatever other way you want to work them. Don’t get me wrong, I love and use Megabass, Lucky Craft, Ima and others, but to purchase 10 of those baits would cost at least $200 and up.

To purchase the same amount of Rapalas would be anywhere from $100-$120. As technical as fishing has gotten with all the different colors and actions and variable ways to use the same lure, I’m 61yrs old, yes old school and on a budget, the moto is Keep It Simple.

With something that is tried and true, you can never go wrong. X-Rap 10 and Deep 10.

This is by far one of the best rapalas I have ever used. The xrap has carried me through thick and thin, and it feels good to know their lures never disappoint. Out of the 200+ times ive gone fishing with this xrap, I have never skunked due to the suspending feature that I love.

They cast far, have good action, and rarely get snagged. Works wonders on smallies and largemouth too.

Thought about it for long while to dump the money, but I purchased 2, PM ghost shiner and GG deadly black shad colors. The workmanship of these lures are excellent. Paint quality is on point. Noticed that the barbs are backwards and at first thought it was odd, never seen anything like that.

Had the opportunity to go fishing on a sunny and 75 kinda day for my birthday weekend out here in CA. These baits suspend in the water column almost perfectly at 58 degrees according to the fish finder.

In a window of 4 hrs (fishing was tough), had a bass follow the 110 and later, I was able to catch 1 bass at a point with a rocky bottom when my 4 other buddies didn’t even get a bite. Could it be luck or the right bait? Wish they were a few bucks cheaper.

These jerkbaits are the standard by which all others should be judged. Pricy but worth it The plus 2 truly gets down 12 ft on lite line. Have hit bottom in 15 on a very long cast with 10 pound braid.

Plus 1 a meter shallower, standard 110 , 1 meter shallower than that Action is very erratic but predictable erratic if that makes sense. By this I mean it’s not going to suddenly shoot up for example.

It works it’s window and constantly tries to dig deeper. Retrieve resistance is surprisingly mild for a deep jerk. Color selection is seemingly endless and all are things of beauty. My go to are French pearl , pro blue , tenn Shad , deadly black and ito wakasagi.

With these I can work all conditions effectively. Be warned. These are addictive.

Purchased the Megabass Vision 110 Jr. and couldn’t be happier. Chose the junior due to forage size in the Winter in the Northeast. First, this thing casts a mile even though only being 3/8 ounce! As a bank fisherman fishing in the Winter, distance is important as the fish are out in the depths of the middle of the lake.

Second, you do not have to work this bait hard as it has tons of action even with small jerks. Important in the Winter when bass don’t expect big twitches to the bait fish. Third, the finish is second to none as is the action.

It rolls, darts and walks back and forth. Now the reasons for only 4 stars. First, the bait rises slowly. I want more of a suspending bait right out of the box, especially at $20 a clip. Water temperature has to do with rise but, wish my 40 degree water didn’t make this bait rise.

Second, although the hooks are the sharpest and stickiest you’ll find (they stick to everything including skin, clothes, fishing bags, car seats. ) they do tend to bend a little easy. Just today I had one bend taking it off of the hook keeper! I’ve caught 5 pound bass and haven’t bent one but, getting untwisted from my hook keeper did.

Go figure. Great lure, great size and action and worth every penny of $20! Get one. My fav, and only one so far is the “Megabass Sexy Shad. “.
