20 Best Ultrasonic Contact Lens Cleaner (2023 Updated)

I would give it a million negative stars if that was an option. BEWARE!! If you have a sensitivity or a full blown allergy to polyvinylpyrolidone or any of the polymer’s variations, DO NOT USE THIS or ANY solution that contains Hydraglyde.

It is a code name for PVP also known as Povidone which has caused documented cases of anaphylaxis. I’m currently recovering from the effects of using Clear Care Plus because I mistakenly purchased this product instead of Hydraglyde free Peroxide cleaner.

Like another reviewer, I am experiencing temporary uncorrectable visual acuity changes caused by terribly swollen corneas. PVP is an ingredient in many CL solutions and Hydraglyde, in particular, is in many Alcon products including Opti Free Pure Moist multipurpose solution.

It is also used as a structural component in many contact lenses. Read labels, have a serious discussion with your eye care practitioner. If you experience blurred vision discontinue use and see your physician.

Povidone allergies are real and can be life threatening.

I thought i would give Clear Care Plus a try for cleaning my contact lens vs the traditional rinse requiring me to manually clean the lenses with my fingers. I have only used for 3 days and followed the instructions for a 6 hour soak to allow solution to neutralize.

I had my contacts in for no more than 3 hours when i noticed everything starting to haze over – never happened with my contacts in 20 years! I immediately removed my lenses only to find that the haze was still present.

I now started to become concerned and decided to search on “Clear Care Plus cloudy eyes”. The results were astonishing! It seems that what I experienced is somewhat common with the use of this product.

Fortunately shortly after removing my lenses my eyes cleared. I am really surprised that this product stays on the market with so many people experiencing the same symptoms with the use of Clear Care Plus.

I know i will no longer be using the product.

Get the same product; at the same price, without having to pay that fee for Costco! I’ve used this product for years; due to constantly having eye infections, and it works better. plus NO need to scrub each lense prior to soaking.

Easy to use too. Just put lenses in appropriate marked sides, add liquid to the bottle’s line (which this contains 2 bottles to soak lenses, one for each large bottle of cleanser), and place cap with lenses inside to soak overnight (or at least 6 hours).

Please follow the instructions to prevent any injury to your eyes. I haven’t had one infection since I started using this product though, and highly recommend it. I don’t struggle with torn lenses either from “too much pressure being applied” either.

I use this to get a better clean than the daily AMO Totalcare One that I use as a soaker and a cleaner. I find the AMO gentler on my eyes than the Boston equivalent. The Boston cleaner really gets oily deposits off the lenses.

Excellent contact lens cleaning solution. It cleans the protein off my gas permeable lens well.

The best product ever. I am using it since 1988. Guaranteed disinfecting and much better than the product with metal catalyst ring for a number of reasons. Works great with protein removal tabs, since Ultrazyme disappeared you can use Avizor.

Unfortunately you cannot find Oxysept in the stores anymore, the lens industry and the optometrists are pushing one month lenses. Thanks to online drugstore for offering it for a reasonable price.

Great product for people with allergies to many of the chemicals in one-step cleaning solutions. The only drawback is the need for a separate daily cleaner for your lenses, so it adds an extra step. However, if you use another peroxide solution like Clear Care and are looking for an alternative, this is it.

Keep in mind that if you use a daily cleaner with Clear Care the results will be similar unless there is a specific ingredient that is causing discomfort in Clear Care. Regardless, I like to switch between Oxysept and Clear Care several times a year and noticed that my eyes are a bit more comfortable than using one all of the time.

This is by far the best peroxide disinfection solution on the market used to sterilize contact lenses. This disinfection solution leaves contacts perfectly clean and sterile in six hours. It also has a built-in lubricant so the contacts are both sterile and comfortable.

Have used Solo Aquamarine for years and have veterinary had a problem with my contact lens wearing. Comfortable for 24 hours. Cleans in less than 20 mins if required.

As someone who wears lenses for a number of hours during the weekdays, and use a computer screen extensively, I needed a lens which had a high water content – which this lens provides. I have however on a number of occasions had to put in a new lens immediately after putting one in as they were uncomfortable.

This means I have to throw away lenses which are new. This means on some days I use 3 lenses – making these not very good value for money!.

5* product. The Best contact lens disinfecting product as used by a lens wearer of 45+ years. It helps the eyes stay comfortable and lenses clean despite make up usage and lens wear of 14+ hours every day.

I feel these are probably the best lenses you will find. They are super comfortable and last all day. They are a little on the pricey side but they are definitely worth if you can afford to use them

I’ve been using this contact lens solution for somewhere between 5 and 10 years now and it’s great! Provides enough hydration to the contacts to wear all day. One thing I did discover, though, is that you do have to gently rub the lens with it for optimal comfort, although it didn’t hurt me not doing that for years.

My contacts were just more comfortable when I started doing that. I use this with Air Optix hydraglyde and I soak the hydraglyde out of the contacts overnight since that compound bugs my eyes (allergy maybe).

It works well and I still get better wear than the older Aqua versions with the same solution. The PureMoist version is supposed to be more hydrating than this but, since I have that sensitivity to hydraglyde, I can’t use that, so I stick with this.

I always use a different brand of contact lens solution. However, my optometrist told me to just try this one. I don’t always do what he says to do but I did try it and I have now switched to this brand totally.

However, it is a bit pricey but it’s well worth the price. My eyes thank him for getting me to change. I usually wear my contacts way too long and my eyes get a little dry and irritated. It’s also good for that but it’s really great for getting the protein off your contacts and making them feel fresh and new again, almost.

9% of germs. This solution cleans rinses disinfect and stores it is a ph balanced formula provides a cushion of moisture for comfort. I also love the fact that every new box I buy of this it gives a new lens case in every box it is the number one brand recommended by doctors.

This is simply the best contact solution there is. I was given a sample of it by my eye doctor and she said it was the only one she recommends using. I have VERY dry eyes due to Sjogrens so my contacts often got so dry they would just fall out of my eyes.

I couldn’t believe the difference how well this solution revitalized my contacts and added moisture back into them, Every morning it’s like putting in a fresh pair of contacts! I also now use the daily contact eye drops and between the two I have had so much relief from my dry eyes and I’m truly grateful for that.

I have used this product for many years with great success. My local store stopped stocking it a while ago. I’ve tried a couple other brands, but they either made my contacts difficult to handle or did not clean them effectively.

Complete has the best balance. I was very happy to find it again online for a reasonable price!.

I have severe allergies due to a condition called Urticaria. This is the ONLY product that does NOT cause me problems with my Urticaria AND also works FABULOUSLY for the reasons it was created. My contacts are sterile, have no buildup on them, and they remain moist! It works SO well, in fact, that I’m able to wear contacts for 6 months that are designed to be worn only 1 month!!! So, it SAVES ME MONEY, too!.

This contact solution is great if you have sensitive eyes and sensitive skin. Hands-down the best I’ve ever used and I’ve been wearing contacts for 4 decades.

The price point is good. Although it has been years since I last used it, but I didn’t like it one bit. I have an astigmatism so my eyes dry fast, and my lenses get alot of protein build up. This just sucked.

It didn’t get my protein off my lenses like other brands do, and I had alot of issues with my eyes drying out faster then usual while using this product. I haven’t purchased since. I rate 2 stars because of price point.

I swear by Complete solution. I used it for about two decades and never needed to switch to a different solution. Complete solution works great! It cleans well, is gentle, and keeps your eyes moisturized for days! I always feel like I’m putting on a fresh pair of contacts whenever I soak them in Complete solution overnight.

Didn’t want to make a second stop on the way home at a crowded grocery store or drug store, but I needed more contact solution for that night and morning. The price was too high for a bottle that size.

It was only 2 ounces and looked like it would be something you’d get as a free sample and not actually sale. Barely counts as travel size. It didn’t last a week.

I bought this product by mistake. I thought it was eye drops and it turned out to be contact lens cleaner. Several years ago, I did wear contact lenses and I used Opti-Free products at that time. They work well, but I bought it accidently for the wrong application.

Ive used a lot of cleaning solutions for my contact lenses Acuvue Oasys 2 week disposables and this is by far the best and now only solution Ill use. It cleans wonderfully without needing to really roll and manipulate the lenses yourself Ill rub my lenses a few times with a finger to dislodge any buildup but most times shaking them in their little case for a few seconds is sufficient.

This has not been my experience with other cleaning solutions that often required me to shake, rub, rinse, and re rinse to get them cleaned well enough for comfortable wearing and clear vision. Its super hydrating as well.

I find myself using my rewetting drops FAR less often than before I used this solution and my eyes dont get tired, dry, or feeling heavy multiple times throughout the day. The drops I use are expensive so this is a huge plus for me.

The set comes with a ton of product, and the little travel bottle is perfect for me to toss in my bag for work in case I get something in my eyes and need to quickly clean a lens or two. I love that it also comes with two lens cases as well! Im always misplacing mine when I have my lenses in and having a backup for when that happens is nice.

Overall, this IS a pricier cleaning solution compared to other options but its by far the best Ive used. If you struggle with dry eyes or buildup on your contacts, try it. You will not regret it.

I have been blessed in many areas of life but not when it comes to eyesight. Your man HH can’t see a damn thing far away at all. I also don’t have a glasses face so I was left with contact lenses for vision correction.

BL has been my preferred lens cleaner since Reagan was in office 1st term and does an exceptional job. In the before times, you had to uses a separate cleaner and saline rinse. Renu changed the contact lens game and doesn’t get enough credit for that.

It doesn’t even sound real when you describe it. It’s a cleaner but you can also pour it directly into your eyeswait, WHAT!? -HH.

So happy to get this stuff, my eyes thank you! Had a hard time finding my go to eye lube and grabbed a knock of brand and oh did my eyes pay! My contacts tried fluttering away like little butterflies that land on the end of puppy noses.

They turned bloddshot, started to burn, I went blind. Then my go to eye lube returned! I can see again! Far away, up close, up your butt with a coconut. Might buy more so I can have them. Thank you good blue eyeball lube.

I started using this solution, based on an optometrist’s recommendation. I was not disappointed. It almost feels like my contact lenses aren’t inserted after this solution is used for overnight cleaning.

It is also very good for when one has to remove a lens to remove debris (an eyelash, a fiber in the eye. ) I carry one in my office backpack for such emergencies. It is a good investment to use this solution to clean your contact lenses overnight.

I’ll start by mentioning that I received a sample of this solution through PinchMe. In return for receiving the sample, I am asked to leave an honest review, so here goes… I have been using the same contact lens solution for as long as I’ve worn contacts, which is Opti-Free Replenish.

So let me begin with the fact I have very dry eyes, so dry I get sties a lot. I need to use eyedrops regularly but it’s been so hard for me to find eyedrops that do not make my eyes worse by burning so bad I have to rinse my eyes out with water immediately.

Then I finally found lumify which are also from the same brand, but they are a bit pricey. I’d been wanting to try Bio true, so I was thrilled when I received them in the mail. They work better than the only other drops I use.

Biotrue are so hydrating I can literally feel the moisture in my eyes, if that makes since. My eyes aren’t itching, burning, or irritated while or since I’ve been using these drops. So here’s some cool facts-They are preservative free + Ph balanced, with naturally inspired ingredients, such as, HA, a natural moisturizer + antioxidant + electrolyte.

All of that will give you instant moisture + instant relief for dry, irritated eyes due to screen and environmental stressors. Also active ingredient is a goodie, Glycerin. I totally recommend Bio true.

You just can’t go wrong with these drops.

So I am avid in a particularly lovely website PinchMe. com which offers FREE samples to many people provided they offer to write a real and honest review after trying said products. You even get to choose which samples to claim or not and it’s been a completely amazing experience to continue to participate with them.

Check them out for sure. But as it is. This was a product option I opted for. I had eye drops from lumify from pinchme. Com before and was so amazed when this item was up for grabs I just had to take dibs and see if it was of similar quality.

And it was. Now I usually use the refresh optic but this was way more. Satisfying. Very smooth and fresh and clean feeling not sticky and super hydrated. Almost like a silky soft experience for my eyeballs which is not something I thought I’d ever say! But they hydrated beyond well, kept contacts comfortable and from sticking whatsoever, they felt clean and comfortable and provided especially all the qualities needed from such a product.

I highly recommend and am grateful to sample this product, will purchase, and am a loyalist from hence forth. Def worth checking out. Worth the price.

I like this formula just give. It works good for an occasional rinse, but I have severe eye allergies and I was told by my optometrist that basic rinses do not remove that many allergens. If you do not have anything like that to deal with then yeah it’s great.

Why have one when you can have two? This multipurpose solution is great, and two bottles just allows me not to have to replace so frequently. It’s also affordable, and my go-to contact solution.

I feel confident using this contact solution that my contacts will be clean and that it’s not harming my eyes. It is pricier compared to others but in my opinion it’s worth it. I’ve never had any eye issue or any irritation since using BioTrue.

I’ll even use BioTrue to flush out my eyes if I have an eyelash stuck in there. For those that have never read the bottle (I know it was a while before I did!) There are proper steps to follow for cleaning your contacts to remove most of the protein build up.

Each contact should gently be “washed” (rub contact with solution in palm of hand) before sitting in the solution over night. The solution is clear and has no scent. It does bubble up a bit in the bottle if shaken or near the end.

Bonus that each bottle comes with a new contact case.

I received the biotrue contact lens solution from Pinch me to try the product and keep as a free sample. I have seen this product but never purchased or even thought about trying it as I was sold on my regular contact lens solution and would not dare switch.

Upon receiving Bio true, I noticed how bright and appeasing it was since I had not really noticed before I was now noticing and paying attention to every detail. it was easier to get open than ,y normal solution, it was definitely not as cloudy, in fact it was crystal clear.

my eyes felt cool and refreshed after putting in my contact from them soaking in Bio true, not dry and itchy. even after all day wear they were still comfortable as whe I just put them in. Unlike a lot of these reviews that’s been incentivized in some way…I actually use this item and my review is based on long term repeated use as opposed to those who “got the item free” in exchange for their honesty.

I was fascinated by the bubbles and wanted to see it in action. That’s why I initially bought this. Used PureMoist before and boy…what a difference for me & my eye comfort. My eyes are extremely dry & sensitive to the allergens.

Stands to reason they’d end up on my contacts & even after a thorough cleaning I could still feel the dirt left behind. The bubbles cleaned my lenses so well I notices I didn’t need my eye drops as often throughout the day.

What I didn’t know & learned the hard way is you can’t use this to rinse your contacts; a separate saline is needed for that. It’s hydrogen peroxide & it burns.

I was provided this product for free in exchange for my honest review. That being said, I was already a user and have been using the regular Clear Care solution for many years I’ve also now been using the HydraGlyde version since it came out.

I’m not a generally lazy person, but I do get up well before dawn and have to get to bed before the sun sets in the summer in order to get enough sleep for work. So since my time is limited, anything that can shorten my evening and morning routine is a plus in my book.

The Clear Care solution has always done a great job at cleaning my contacts well and leaving them feeling good as new when I put them in again in the morning. The regular Clear Care solution has done that for me for years, but now with the HydraGlyde version, they feel not only refreshed, but practically like brand new lenses each morning.

The extra lubrication makes all the difference, especially if you’ve had a long day of wearing them and your eyes would usually feel dry by the end of your day. Since this stuff achieves its cleaning power using hydrogen peroxide, it is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE that you use ONLY the included lens cleaning container and that you let them clean for AT LEAST six hours, or you will be dealing with some burning eyes.

The packaging warns you of all of this, but some folks still don’t seem to listen. I find that 8+ hours is even better for neutralizing all the peroxide with zero burning afterwards. But follow the directions and you’ll be just fine!.

Bausch & Lomb Boston Advanced Cleaner has been unavailable since the beiginning of June after a recall, and suggested alternatives did not suit my eyes so It was such a relief to be able to purchase some from Feel Good Contacts and I was even more impressed to find it was the 30 ml size, having keratoconus my vision is only corrected with contact lens.

I purchased 2 bottles so now I dont have the daily task of checking if there is any available anywhere in the country. Thankyou I will definately be buying from you again.

Ive worn RGP lenses for over 50 years and would never consider any other cleaner. It effectively cleans and removes proteins, leaving lenses sparkling and comfortable. A fantastic product.

This is fabulous for gas permeable contact lenses. I have never found anything else that will clean as well as this product. No more cloudy contact lenses! Thank goodness.

This solution is so soothing to tired and itchy eyes. No need for Optrex anymore with this product. Visualize must have a moisturiser in the ingredients so cleaning lenses is slippery yet it is superior to the solution provided by the Opticians.

No more dryness, I wore my lenses all day and forgot I had them in.

This keeps my contacts really soft. I love the built in case at the back of the bottle, was a surprise as I have never seen that before.

Great when only taking cabin luggage. My bottle lasted 10 days and had some left so would do a fortnight no bother
