20 Best Ue Boom 2 Case (2023 Updated)

This was my first foray into the wireless speaker game, and I must say it blew me away. I would take these speakers on any and every outdoor adventure I went on and I never had any problems. They had a very durable, grippy texture to them and the volume buttons had a satisfying ‘click’.

I have never been a huge fan of “bass-heavy” speakers and I felt that this speaker was tuned perfectly for its purpose. It can become surprisingly loud for its size and has no problems projecting in open spaces.

I used to own two of these and I did eventually break both of them, but that was by no means the fault of the speaker. I put them through quite a beating and they served me well.

I’ve seen many videos reviewing this exact speaker, and of course watching through a video, you’ll never actually hear how a speaker truly sounds, but seeing enough videos made me believe this speaker was good enough.

Delivery was very quick! (Came two days before the estimated delivery date, and only took a couple days total to arrive!) And it even came with a full battery right out of the box, I’ve only charged it once ever since I got it.

It’s been about two weeks now, so the battery life is phenomenal. Now about the sound quality. Let me just say that although the videos I saw were well edited and constructed, none of them will ever do the sound justice.

But that’s a given, and should be expected of virtually any video testing audio quality of speakers. The sound absolutely blew me away. I was amazed at how a speaker this size could produce so much low end.

I’ll just say that anytime I’m listening to my music, all of the chaotic drumming, blazing guitar solos, crushing guitar riffs, growling vocals, and delicious bass lines all shine through with this little buddy, and I absolutely approve this purchase.

10/10 would recommend.

First off. I don’t have the red edition- mines blue and orange but this speaker is life changing. First it’s water proof! Like drop in the ocean water proof! So my showers have been enhanced for the last three years! Second! This thing is soooooo loud.

I can’t even handle listening to it at full strength. Third! You can connect multiple booms and create surround sound effects or just have them synced. The battery is impressive and lasts much longer than you’d expect.

The charging cord is neon yellow so has a very long cord. I really really love this speaker! I did tons of research before purchasing and all reviews said to buy this speaker brand above anyone else!.

I got 3 of them back in December 2019 and a Bose Revolve Sound Link II. The Bluetooth on them is way better then my Bose, it’s a shame, because the distance is at least triple of that on my Bose, and I get no interference, but my Bose, if anyone get to use the microwave, it does interfere in the sound.

The Bose has an annoying 10٪ battery protection, which if you don’t see is coming, it screws up everything, you have to reset to whole thing to work again, it just refuse to charge, etc. The sound on this little guys is strong/loud, impressive loud for its size and its crispy clear.

I find it better then my Bose, it just lack that booming bass of my Bose, but never the less is really good. I got 1 for each of my kids and 1 for me to bring to work, I work in construction. I did work for almost 2 years in Vancouver, under constant all day rain, it never bothered my speaker.

Once I dropped, back in January 2020, about 30ft, nothing happened. When I connect 2 of them, man,it’s powerful and so pleasant stereo sound. If I would give one negative aspect, is that you can only connect max 2 of them, this is a shame, I would buy more to put them together if I could connect more, it would awesome.

Great little speaker. Bought this on a Whim as it was cheaper and easier than buying a new car stereo. I managed to scoop this at the lowest price I could find in store, in wellington in nov 2020. Charge is great.

I don’t use it too much but i probably charge it less than once a week. it does have a outdoor bass setting which I found works great in the shower too. Super easy to connect too and zero drops. I did find it a bit of a learning curve getting used to 360 degree speaker projection.

I did find it a bit hard to find a good place to put it in the car. and compared to a proper 5. 1 audio system that far exceeds this little things costs it wasn’t the best sound quality. I would say if your a bit of a sound snob, don’t get it, chuck the extra coin in to get a proper boom3 at least, they go on special all the time.

How ever, compared to a 300 dollar soundbar I recently got for my PC setup, the Wonderboom actually sounded a lot nicer and louder. until I dug right into the soundbars settings and really got them going.

However Out of the box this Wonderboom is great. Chuck it down at the skatepark, beach and in the car. At the price though I wouldn’t be as upset if I lost it compared to the Boom3.

The case is clearly not designed to hold a UE Boom 3 at all as we couldnt get ours to fit into the case. Disappointed. Threw it away as no good for anything else.

These are truly great Bluetooth speakers. I’ve had 5 of them over the past 3 years. They are quite loud for their size with very good sound quality. Battery life is good, up to 8 hours, but not if it’s up all the way.

I read a review that said you couldn’t listen to music while they are charging. That is false. I often listen to one or more of mine while charging. They are also very durable and waterproof. One thing to watch though is the charging ports.

They are mounted on the top beneath a rubber cover. But, if you aren’t very careful, dirt will build up inside the port causing the unit to malfunction and melt the port. I’ve had this happen to 3 so far.

The charging boards are nearly impossible to find anywhere but it can be bypassed with a stripped USB cord. Not ideal, but it works and saves a great speaker from the trash. They also can pair with each other so you can have 50 or maybe 100 all working together.

From the outset let me say this is about the ability to couple 2 Boom 2’s together. There are 2 methods to do this, with the app or without the app. With the app impossible, download, update, reset, repeat and still nothing, contact UE and no response at all.

Without the app, review all internet based tutorials and follow tips and tricks, nothing then on the 3rd day it worked. Nervously turn it off and try again and nothing, day 4 success again but difficult to replicate, day 5 now 30% of attempts successful.

Based on this and their arrogance in not responding I suggest reading the general reviews and chose another brand, there are better units out there.

All the other Bluetooth speakers we have bought just don’t compare. We ❤ our booms. I had to buy 2 more just so I could have mine to myself. 😄. The first one I ever bought is 3 years old & sounds just as good as the new ones, & we can connect them via app for surround sound! ❤ So much value in this little guy! So these come from a third party seller called WILLSTORE, not from Walmart directly, and I cannot say enough bad things about them. My speaker arrived nearly 4 weeks late and only after calling the company twice.

The speaker I eventually received was defective and cuts out if you go above about 25% volume. It’s even worse with songs with prominent bass in the mix. Here’s the kicker though, on top of it being defective, they didn’t even send me the right speaker.

I received the original UE Boom when I ordered the UE Boom 2. At this point I’m still not even sure if I want to bother getting a refund because that would mean having to deal with this terrible company again.

Aside from everything else I just mentioned their customer service is also pretty terrible, but I won’t get started on that.

I’ve had 2 of these but will not buy again. Although the sound quality is decent for such a small speaker and the user interface is straightforward I will not be purchasing any UE boom products again.

Electronic waste is a huge problem and it is up to producers of these products to offer a lasting product that can easily be recycled (. not this product). This particular speaker is only designed to last a year before heading to the landfill completely unacceptable.

I am an Audio Engineer. Due to this my standards for sound quality are extremely high. Ive used Jbl electronics many times and they’ve proven to be one of the best at what they do. This little speaker while not studio or live quality is one of the better ones in it’s class of product.

Iofyen hear portable phone speakers in this class which sound terrible, they lack bass,and clarity is not good. This one fits perfectly onto the back of my Moto Z4 phone,and sounds great for what it is.

Bass is good for it’s size and format, mids and highs are good too. Not quite the Jbl I know but very good for. It’s application. Compact and full sounding, not very heavy but sturdy. Looks nice, compliments my phone, fits perfectly.

It has its own battery built in I would’ve liked to see it act as a backup battery for the phone also, and have it’s own charging port and charger but that’s part of keeping things clean simple and easy to use I suspect.

it would also be nice to have Bluetooth connectivity so I could use it separately and keep my phone on it’s case. i will probably keep it at home and use it there Since I need my case when I’m out at work and other places.

Also for the cleanest sound try not to Max the volume out. I’d really like to see the next generation as an integrated phone case or with the ability to be used on it’s own via Bluetooth and with its own charger.

Bought the soundboost 2 on sale at a really big discount and when I first got it and opened it I was pleased by the sound that came out. It was no more than a day or two that it seemed as though the speaker was not outputting much sound.

When compared to just the phone’s speaker, the quality certainly improved and I got a richer, deeper sound; but the volume was about the same if not less, which is somewhat disappointing when this is supposed to boost the sound out from my phone.

I’m not sure if this was a faulty unit as I do hear a bit of crackling when the soundboost is on high volume. Overall I feel its performance is underwhelming coming from the jbl brand, although if it is something that can be fixed through a software patch and gets resolved, I’d be much happier with my purchase.

So it sounds great and I love it. On low volume for nighttime music to fall asleep to. It barely uses any battery power from the speaker. My only issue is this. The volume control I think could use some adjusting.

Personally I don’t think it should have a crazy low volume like it does. To elaborate. When you move the volume from 0-100 on the phones speaker. It seems like it’s jumping by 10 volume. While the speaker amazingly louder.

Seems to jump by 20 percent. So going from 100 to 90 sounds like your actually at 80. And since it’s like this. The mood can get insanely quiet. If they were to make it so when the mod is at 30%. It sounds like the phone at 40% or even 50%.

Then when you hit 20%. The mod switches to phone? Maybe I’m just finicky, but eh. It’s how I feel personally. Lastly. Good luck keeping it animal hair free and clean.

These speakers sound amazing for the price and size. I purchased two so I could pair them, set them at opposite ends of the room, and experience immersive sound. I love the experience. until I pause the music for a few minutes and hit play and only one speaker plays.

In order to correct this I must retrieve the silent speaker, power it off, power it on, and re-pair the two together. The “magic button” on top, when pressed without powering off, tells me the speakers are still paired even though no sound is coming out the second speaker.

So basically, I cannot pause music for any significant time while using these speakers. I will probably return them because of this problem alone. There are no software or firmware updates per Ultimate Ears website: “Your WONDERBOOM 2 was created with the best possible features and will not need any updates to make it better.

A very affordable rugged case for a variety of things all which can be customized for whatever is being stored. They are just as strong as the more costly pelican cases at a much lower price. Very cosmetically pleasing meaning this is not only a very rugged case, but very attractive one as well.

Two layers plus the top and bottom pieces of foam make it so you can customize multiple layers of items, such as a pistol a mag on one layer and maybe some extra mags and a suppressor on the next. Very easy to fit to whatever shape required.

I do recommend and would buy again.

These Apache cases are probably the best item Harbor Freight sells. Actually, I have several of them. I use them to carry my GoPro cameras, tablet, GPS, and a couple handguns. They come in a few different colors, are full to the top with foam that you can pluck out pieces to make shapes for whatever you want to carry.

They are constructed very strong; I think that you could drop one from a plane without damage to the box or contents. Good price too. Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

A very Sturdy and Rugid Dry Box for safe storage, transport, and protection from the elements for almost anything. Lots of padding in every size dry box that Apache offers. I have bought two or three of each size as gifts, and for personal use.

My Friends and Family members who I have given these boxes to absolutely love them. They are amazed at such a gift. I am very pleased with the quality, and absolute toughness, of these boxes. They are the epitome of Tough Stuff.

I am very disappointed with this speaker and the service I was provided. After having the mega boom for only a year and a half my speaker stopped charging. With that being said I could not use this brand new speaker any more.

The speaker was never transported, it stayed in same spot in the house so for that to happen is completely odd. So I waited until things got picked up again after COVID and I called the customer support.

I explained my issue and how it came out of no where (not my fault) only after using the speaker here and there for a year and half. Well the gentleman had to talk to his supervisor because I was 13 days over my 2 year warranty.

They ended up declining and now there is nothing I can do with a broken expensive speaker. The fact that they couldn’t help me even after being closed for a pandemic and I’m ONLY 13 days over warranty.

That’s ridiculous. I now have to look for a new speaker and will never be purchasing from this company again.

Background; I work full time at Steelcase inc. with loud machinery, earplugs, and always working multiple jobs moving up and down on our line. I bought a few portable speakers and either I couldn’t hear them at all when they were maxed out or I could just hear them enough but the speaker would crackle at max volume and it would need to be right next to me.

Also they would die so fast at max volume. Finally I found this speaker and wow!!! You get what you pay for. 360 degree sound, I can hear it everywhere in my area (this thing gets loud) without needing to move it all the time, and its a great sounding speaker at any volume.

I use this speaker at least 50hrs+ every week and haven’t had a complaint yet. Features: 100ft blutooth radius, COMPLETELY water proof (IPX7 technology), 360 degree sound, 20+ hr battery life at lower volume levels, around 5-10hrs on max volume (depends on the music), has an aux port, uses micro usb for charging (android charger), remembers the device it was hooked up to last, turns off after 15min of no use, shows battery life on Iphone when hooked up, has a latch at the bottom so you can tie something to it or hang it and you can unscrew it and screw in a tripod, also it connects to any and every device easily if they offer Bluetooth.

Plus UE MEGABOOM has their own app in the app store that connects to the speaker and you can completely personilize the name of the speaker, EQ settings, set alarms and the speaker can be turned off, hook up multiples of them to one device, also you can turn it on and off from the app.

Conclusion: I always speak highly of this speaker, recommend it to everyone, fantastic sound, loud, 360 sound, long battery life, great app to personalize speaker, waterproof, very durable, sleek looking, and comes with a durable thick micro usb charger.

Best portable speaker out there for the money!!.

These speakers represent excellent value for money V sound quality. The rugged design is solid yet also unobtrusive. The relatively small size of these speakers makes them easy to position although carrying more than one in a bag when out and about could see your bag starting to get quite bulky.

The battery life is good. They run for about 18 hours on a charge and hold their charge well when not being used. I have four of these in my living room and the Party Up function on the free control App is excellent.

Easy to connect them all once paired. These are the older model of Megaboom now (The new model being the Megaboom 3). The sound: the quality is good. Strong treble and mid range modest but (reasonable for its small size) bass.

NB: The charger uses a bespoke cable – which means you need to take the original charger and cable with you. Overall, I think these are a 5 star product.

Terrible. I went from my old camelbak bottles to a couple of these Celsius bottles and they’re terrible!! Plastic goes ridiculously hard when holding cold water. Makes it near impossible to get any water out on cold days and mornings.

Bottle also split at the seam and the pop top would never close properly. Had this problem with both the bottles I ordered. In the end i threw them out and brought two camelbak bottles again far better bottle.

Should have never brought these.

Before this water bottle, I was carrying water around in my hands. It made it difficult to run, as I kept spilling the water. This bottle also holds considerably more water than my cupped hands. I would highly recommend it.

It’s pop-top sipper and squishy design make it great at drinking while moving quickly.

As a freelance classical recording engineer I’ve been in need of a small portable rig to carry a 1U interface and a 1U 8-channel preamp. Found this and it’s perfect. Clamps down really tight on the computer so I’m not worried about it banging around inside.

There’s just enough space left over in the back for power, USB and patch cables to go between the interface/pre and computer. There isn’t much extra space in the back for other things though (such as mics, bigger cables, etc.

) so you’ll need to bring those in a separate bag or something. Still, this helped me cut down on separate laptop and interface bags. I find that there is a bit of wasted space on the bottom in the front and back where there are two “slots”.

I think I might find a way to use some foam to create comfy compartments for USB sticks and other small things I carry around. However, here’s a warning: my 15-inch 2011 MacBook Pro is slightly too big to allow the velcro laptop holders to be placed completely around the computer.

I managed to put some in front and on the sides of the computer which I find is enough to hold it. Any computers that are bigger than this might pose an issue, but I suppose you could make a bit more space by removing the front holders and only using them on the sides.

Overall great, solidproduct. I’m not afraid that any of my gear will get damaged inside. Also, the lifetime warranty is great.

I had been struggling with trying to put together a mobile rig for my keys set up. I purchased the 4U version of the case less than a month ago. It’s great! I have my Macbook Pro on top. On the first shelf down, I have my in ears monitor transmitter and AudioUSB box from Personus.

Next down, in the back I have the shelf mounted holding my USB hub and cables. The 2nd shelf in the front is open for ventilation. The 3rd shelf houses the Behringer DI 4000. Finally on the bottom I have my power conditioner.

The 4 space is perfect. I have mine holding my stagebox and an m32c. The tops fits my MacBook perfectly. I can use the whole setup and portable FOH, Mon, or even a recording rig. The 4 space is not huge so it fits about anywhere.

The case itself feels like a pelican case. The locks are decent. Depending on what you mount, you May or may not need longer rack screws, but the provided ones are good. Putting it through the ringer and this far it’s held up perfectly.

This was a speaker cover not speaker. Understanding that $11. 00 could’ve been the cover. But purchased another speaker cover from this same company for $33. 00 that I thought was the speaker. Really? Not happy.

Discouraged to do business with this company again. Then EBay asks me if the sound quality good. Even they thought this company was sending me a speaker and not a speaker cover. Please resolve quickly.

I could’ve gone to another company and purchased an actual speaker.

Case is made well with quality materials but lacks shoulder strap and loop with a carabinier that some of the other cases have. The single carry handle is embossed with a gaudy, cheesy logo in BOLD white lettering.

The plus is the inside nets to hold accessories.

the protective cover is durable and light weight. Protects from scratches and bumps and splashes. Good protection but zero major impact protection.
