Works perfectly! We purchased this lite version to use in our 2019 Honda Odessey mini van. The power cord is long enough to reach the AC adapter in the front while the HDMI fire stick stays plugged into the back of the center console without any issue.

We hotspot our internet for the kids to stream on the go. No more buying BluRay/DVDs just for the kids to complain they are bored of watching them every time we travel. Even with the fire stick being close to floor level- the remote works fine from each seat in our vehicle.

I’ve included pictures of how it is setup in our van if anyone else is curious. It took about 15 min to setup and most of that was simply logging into our different apps. Only works with WiFi/Hotspot connection obviously.

Quick and easy set up. I bought this app I can access Beachbody on Demand (netflix of fitness) but I got more than I bargained for. The quality of YouTube videos really makes a difference! Also I would always screen mirror Disney+ movies from my phone but the images from the Fire stick is amazing! Untamed by Glennon Doyle is an inspiring read for a certain set of Mothers to reflect and value themselves, whilst enjoying every other aspect of their lives. I found it an easy flowing, well written read of 333 pages.

Some of the author’s choices and views rank far from my own. I found her memoir impelling, yet unrelatable as she presented it. I will not share more, so as not to spoil your reading experience. Save for this, I enjoyed the first third of the book better than the remaining.

Three stars here because this book is a revealing memoir that is not in my usual genre and I cannot, in good faith recommend it. I won this hardcover of Untamed in a Random House Sweepstakes, back in 2026.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. I read it at the absolute perfect time in my life and I can truly say it helped change my life for the better. I’ve never identified so much with a book, ever.

The style unique in that it’s a bunch of different stories, with context, that are brilliantly interwoven with each other. Glennon addresses so many crucial themes for women, including motherhood, infidelity, facing our feelings, drug abuse, bulimia, love, God, meditation, and so so so much more.

I am in the process of re-reading and I keep picking up more nuggets that I missed the first time around. I Highly recommend!.

The chapters were a page and a half each and each had a different story. I only read about a quarter. I am assuming it all come together at the end for a profound meaning, but I found the stopping and starting of chapters hard to wrap my head around and I got bored.

Not may books I havent finished. Too long of chapters is also horrible. But year, this book was very hard to read for me.

I have the 2019 Fire Cube (1st gen) and decided to get the 2026 Fire Cube (2nd gen) for my second TV. I was comparing the Firestick Max vs. 2026 Fire Cube and, based on the Quad-core processor specs, I opted for the Fire Cube.

I expect it to prolong the life of the device when future firmware updates arrive. I already learned my lesson, since my 2018 Firestick HD is slow and glitchy now, despite reformatting the device. My 2019 Fire Cube is still fast, despite being two years old.

The Fire Cube has a fast interface, despite the home page being bloated with Amazon content. The 2026 (2nd gen) Cube has the 3rd gen remote. I like the option to use the ethernet cable. I ❤️this photo printer, I got it for Christmas and it is AMAZINGGGGG!!!! The color I got it in is pink, but there are many other colors as well. I bought this a bit before lockdown for two purposes: trips abroad when I am traveling light, and photos of a grandchild, taking advantage of its autofocus capability. It is good as it is claimed to be for both of those purposes but lockdown put an end to travel, and I did not get to see the grandchild for over a year, so the camera was used much less than I expected.

One feature I do not like is the way the viewfinder works. To hold a camera steady, I like to hold it firmly against my head (or glasses) but if you do that with this camera, it pushes the viewfinder in a little, so you cannot see through it properly.

When the image looks blurred in the viewfinder, you have to hold it a bit further away from your face, and hence less firmly. As a result, I am less confident about holding this camera steady than I am about holding a more traditional camera with a rigid viewfinder.

I also find I miss having more controls (I am spoiled by having a Sony A7R3). I have the dial round the lens set to adjust the exposure up or down as needed, which is very convenient, but ideally I would like it to be easier to adjust the aperture without changing the exposure.

On the other hand, depth of field is so great, aperture is less of an issue than on a larger format camera. I would also like an easier way to move the focus point around the screen, so as a result, I leave it in Wide mode more than I would like.

But despite these minor niggles, the camera does what it is designed to do extremely well and so long as you understand the inevitable limitations of such a tiny camera, I would certainly recommend it.

I rarely use video so cannot comment on the sound quality.

Upgrded from the Mk4 which I loved and still use as it takes great still pictures. The 4k and HD video is great but no mic input makes getting good sound a bit more complicated This version is better for my needs in many ways.

I shoot a lot of 4k wildlife video and this little camera does a quite amazing job. I have a Sony fdr-ax100e and an fdr-ax53 4k camcorders and this camera does the job equally well and better than those two bigger cams.

The 200mm lens is what swung it for me and having a mic input. You can get a good used one for about half the retail price now on ebay if you are patient and keep a watch for a good one. That makes it a real bargain in my book.

I dont find the lack of a ND filter a problem. My one has a 52mm filter adaptor fitted and it lets me use a variable ND filter when required. I use a polarizing filter often too so adding that adaptor was a must.

Another must is to buy one of those rubber add on grips! The body is small and quite slick and adding that grip makes all the difference. The menu is complicated (more so than my Mk4 but over time if you sit and play around with it regularly, you soon get the hang of it and then becomes intuitive.

After not owning anything other than a iPhone for shooting photos, I finally decided to purchase a good travel camera, Sony’s RX100M7. The price was right on this one, since it was $200 less than anywhere else.

I am really enjoying this thing although there is a lot to learn to really get the most out of it, and I continue to look at YouTube videos to help with that. The camera does not come with a printed manual, a problem since it requires web access to learn how to use it.

You can download a document with web links to different features and usage, but that’s not ideal when you’re out traveling and have no access. So read and watch everything in preparation for using this thing.

You can keep the Sony RX100M7 in full Auto mode if you want, although I recommend a less expensive camera if that is your end goal. This camera can do all sorts of neat things if you know the fine points of its features, and I recommend that you do.

It takes nice steady videos, can be used for Vlogging although you would need an external microphone and a bracket to affix it to since the camera does not have a spot for an external mic. So that’s a negative, but one of the few for a camera in this class.

Other negatives include a very complex menu system of all the features and options, and the back video display screen only allows for very basic touch-sensor use, none of which are related to menus. The touch screen is used mostly for setting a focus point when you are taking a photograph, so extremely limited use.

Also, the menu’s built-in Help features are very basic. Another negative is the battery life. Plan on purchasing an additional battery or two and an external charger if you will be shooting a lot during the day.

Also, the photos and/or videos can get quite large depending on which settings you use, so have a fast, large SD or compatible memory card (or two or three!) if you know you’ll be taking a lot of photos/videos during any day of use.

Finally, here’s what else you’ll probably need to be happy with your RX100M7 — a screen protector for the rear video screen, a carry case of some sort to house the camera when not in use, along with its batteries, extra SD card, charge cable, etc.

You might buy a pricey video gimbal if you do a ton of video work and want extreme steadiness, as well as a tripod to use for night photos, action, etc. That’s a start, anyway. Good luck with your new RX100M7 camera, it’s a good one if these conditions fit your profile!.

This is a book that I needed to read, needed to hear the words spoken as much as I regretted hearing them. Hearing Ta-Nehisi voice truths to his son was breath taking at times. Sometimes it reminded me of my experience growing up as a homeless teen in the 60’s, wondering if and when I would ever get a piece of the so called American Dream if I could only work hard enough.

Blaming myself for every mistake I ever made for my mediocre life. This book along with many others forced me to understand that, I must not leave this planet without educating daughters, grandchildren, and great-grand children.

The America is deliberately hard to obtain if you are in a black body. The dream for America does not now nor never was a promise to those considered three fifths of a human being. I could say much more but I won’t because my intent is share my experience of the wonderful soul stirring book.

It is my hope that Ta-Nhisi’s son listens, hears and internalizes his fathers wisdom and truths.

I am not qualified to officially review this book, but if you’re the rare sort that is looking to Target for reasons to buy this book then I want to add to the 5 star reviews here. Personally, it’s one of the best things I’ve read.

The author knows his history like few do and I can’t wait to dive into history books he recommends. This is required reading.

I ordered this book, and it sat on my table for weeks. I didnt want to start this book until I was mentally and physically ready. This book gave me everything I needed to know about “White America”, how they view African Americans.

This book is from the lenses of a black man whose struggles didn’t conquer his life. Ta-Nehisi Coates is the modern day James Baldwin. I’m so happy I was able to read such a divine book. Only read it when youre ready because once you start it you wont stop and hopefully your life will change.

I really want to get this gadget the moment I knew this one and this is actually exceed my expectations. The item was handle with care from delivery. Delivered earlier than expected. Item is in good condition.

This is a great little printer! Although it uses the same Fuji Polaroid type paper as the Fuji camera the print quality is better because the iPhone camera is better. It is for fun not for serious photography! The prints are small.

There was no mention this needs to be connected to a power supply. That’s no big deal as it’s easy enough to use an adaptor if you are short on plug space but it would have been useful information. Also whilst to a tech savvy bod this may be a doddle to set there was no mention of the rig ma role you have to go through to register the apps and also the allocation of an HDMI on your TV or SKY remote.

That saying I am a 71 year old un tech savvy lady and I honestly found it no more difficult to set up than any new tablet , desktop computer or mobile phone! It just takes a wee bit of time and patience but you soon get the hang of it all.

Also whilst there are lots of apps such as BT sports and Netflix, there was no mention that you do need to subscribe to these channels to view, they are NOT free! After all that I am sure we will get lots of use out of it.

My husband is pleased to be able to watch BT Sport on the TV instead of straining with his tablet and at the excellent price of the TSV I feel sure it will prove to be excellent value.

Do that really matter – no still gets you to the same place. Setup was simple but I had all the accounts and passwords ready before I started. Step by step was simple, the sound bar was different – I had to roll through a long list before I got to mine but that that worked perfectly.

I remember setting up that soundbay in my Xfinity remote looking at a small piece of paper folded more times than an origami flower and then still having to pick one of 5 available codes. I wish the 4 buttons at the bottom were programmable instead of fixed – maybe future software upgrade.

This version does require power and comes with an converter – I instead purchased the patch cable which allows it to pull power from a USB port (if you have one open). Much cleaner.

IšverstiShow in original languageI already have a firestick 4k that works great. I recently purchased the Recast which I absolutely love for OTA DVR and live TV features. The firesticks work great for that as it has an integrated guide and DVR library.

There are a few differences between the two 4k sticks. If you are asking yourself, should I buy a max of the regular 4k and is it any faster? Well to be honest, speed wise I can’t tell a difference between the two.

This one is compatible with Wifi 6 but not many including myself has a router with that compatibility. But it’s nice to know it’s there for the future. A few differences. For some reason I don’t get the video previews when browsing the live TV guide.

I’ve gone into the featured content and made sure they were on but still don’t get them. Yet I get them on the regular 4k stick. Hmm, a bug maybe. They work for other apps from the home screen and even work on recently watched TV shows.

Just not the inside the guide. When watching a live TV program and scrolling the guide, now all you have to do is hit the back button to go back to the show. On the original 4k you had to scroll back to the show were watching.

To get back to the guide you now have to click the backward button twice instead of once to get back to the guide or do I like I do and just hit the TV button which brings up the guide. With the max you now have the option to turn off HDR which is good if you have a TV like mine that does HDR badly.

Or you can still go adaptive. I turn it off. You’ll still get ultra HD, just not in HDR. I’m not sure if this is hard encoded in the hardware or software. Those are about the only differences I see. If you don’t have a recast I suggest just getting the original 4k and saving $10 bucks.

If you’re expecting it to be faster than the original 4k, It’s not. I just needed another one for my other TV.

This was my original fire tv. I ended up buying a stick because i appreciated the size and that i could hide it behind the TV whereas this one you can’t. I have no idea what the differences between them are other than their size.

They both seem to do the exact same thing and they both still work great. I suggest just getting the stick lol. The remotes are interchangeable too (definitely pick 1 w voice). This is especially great but if you dont have a smart TV.

This is the best thing that has ever happened to modern television technology. I have multiple applications on this Amazon fire TV, which I can just scroll to which ever app I need. Set up and usage is super easy.

I’m able to watch TV shows and movies on each of the apps that I have purchased, specifically Prime videos. I can’t believe this tiny box gives you access to hundreds of channels, TV shows, and movies.

All other installed add-ons can be a hit or miss due to the 3rd party loader. For those of you who are not able to fully utilize this stick, I would have to say that you either do not know how to follow the instructions, you havelimited Internet capbillity or, this may not be the tool for you to use – For there are no other reasons that one could not surf the backdoor of the stick and select shows/movies – add on your own additions with the help of YouTube or just Google what else you might want to have as part of your libraries; I use my stick for movie watching, for the most part, at this time.

Game of Thrones is a must and the Exodus add-on is the ticket. it has all seasons/episodes up to date. TCM is not one that I can view unless I want to watch it as an On Demand tool or to watch the TCM UK version which is not the same as the US sadly, TCM is dialed into the cable and Dish businesses therefore, you cannot Live Stream it from the Kodi program but it is not a loss for me as so much a gain with all that I can now watch when once I could not.

Movies, anything other than HD (1080), will buffer a bit more and a bit more often and not all applications uploaded will always work or have the best quality but by far!.

I’ve been using android boxes throughout my home for several years now, since deciding to “cut the cable”. Recently, the android box in our bedroom decided to bite the dust. While shopping for a replacement, I came across the 4K Fire TV Stick and decided to give it a try.

) The first thing I noticed once opening the package was it’s small size, slightly larger than a thumb drive and plugs directly into an available HDMI port. This eliminates the need of running another HDMI cable and frees up space on the TV stand, table, mantle or in our case the dresser.

Setup could not be any easier! Simply connect the Power Adapter to the 4K Fire TV Stick using the included USB Cable. Plug the 4K Fire TV Stick into an available HDMI port and the Power Adapter into a wall outlet.

Once powered, I was greeted with several easy to follow onscreen prompts to setup Wi-Fi, timezone, pair the remote to TV etc. and allow the Stick to update. Once the updates were complete, the Stick will reboot.

The entire process only took approx. 5 mins. Once initial setup was complete, I was brought to the main screen. The UI is very nicely laid out and easily navigated. There are several apps already listed such as Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ etc.

You can customize this layout by adding and/or removing apps of which may or may not be of interest to you. You can set a password and customize parental controls to block access to specific apps, ratings and purchases.

The 4K Fire TV Stick works perfectly! It is very responsive in navigation, opens apps quickly and streams video with no issues at all. I was initially concerned about Wi-Fi reception as our router is on a different level/floor in our home, but the 4K Fire TV Stick has no problem picking up my Wi-Fi and streams perfectly.

Great video quality and virtually no buffer! Much better than my previous android box. The remote is a perfect size and fits comfortably in hand. The selection of buttons are that of typical media players, Play/Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, a circular navigation/select, Home, etc.

The 4K Fire TV Stick Remote also has the addition of Power On/Off, Volume UP/Down and Mute buttons, which allow us control over other devices such as TV, Receiver, Soundbar etc. This is a great feature, as it can eliminate the need for multiple remotes.

Then ofcourse, we have Alexa Voice. With a simple press(Hold) of the microphone button, you can easily launch apps, find and control movies and TV shows etc. all with your voice. Alexa can also give updates on time, weather, news etc.

the possibilities seem “almost” endless. I haven’t used this feature too much so far, but when I have it has worked perfectly. While there is lots of free content available on the 4K Fire TV Stick, I primarily use it for Prime Video, Netflix, etc.

Prime Video is a great service with tons of great movies and TV shows. best of all, its FREE for Amazon Prime members! In my opinion, the cost of Amazon Prime + 4K Fire TV Stick basically pays for itself due to the FREE Prime Video!.

I would not ever buy anything from this site again. This is a fraud, the product description says “New Fire TV Stick 4K with New Alexa Voice Remote Streamer” but when I received the package it was on a remote without the stick and did not even include batteries.

I used the Firestick to view Netflix on a bedroom tv. I wanted to watch “The Crown-session 3” today on Netflix. I had watched the previously watched the first two sessions a couple of days ago. Today I searched with the Firestick on the bedroom tv, and “The Crown” wasnt even an option.

It didn’t come up in the search. What DID come up first on the list was “Becoming, which was a documentary about Michelle Obama. That clearly had nothing to do with “The Crown”! It was like it didn’t want me to watch “The Crown” and watch “Becoming”.

This is clearly an invasion of my privacy and censoring what I wanted to watch. A total violation of my First Amendment rights! I the went to my main tv which has a Roku to watch Netflix. I searched “The Crown” and there it was—the first on the list! I think the makers of Firestick are trying to censor what viewers are trying to watch.

Something in the Firestick search was totally trying to censor what I watch! It really upsets me! Scary!.

Wow, this Firestick impressed me! So many new features and improvements over previous generations. First, setup is a breeze! It really is a plug and play setup. Everything you need is included, including the batteries for the remote! Just plug in the hdmi end to your tv (make sure you pay attention to what port/input you are using as this is where you’ll watch the Fire Stick), then plug in the power source and it will go through what language, let you input your WiFi info, and do any necessary updates.

Mine did have an update upon setup but it’s pretty fast depending on your connection. With mine, it automatically detected my tv so I can also use the remote to adjust volume, etc. I love this feature and always hated having to remember tv codes to program remotes or having to manually scan for codes! This makes this setup the smoothest and fastest possible! I love that the fire stick allows me to have our entertainment at my fingertips, with only one device.

We are a streaming family and stream from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc. I can also access my channels through Prime such as Discovery + all in one place. It essentially turns any tv into a smart tv.

You can access the weather, your photo gallery (if uploaded), Facebook, browser, etc. For families, you can setup users and customize the home page. Another great feature, especially in today’s world, allows you to setup parental control so you can limit each profile specific to the user.

I’ve been using my Fire Stick daily since it’s arrival and I am still discovering new features! I love the interface and ease of setup. Highly recommend.

We said bye bye to a big cable bill and hello to Fire tv. We already had Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ at the same time as satellite tv but our old smart tv was just…. well, too old. Switching between apps was clunky and certain ones could not be updated to the latest version which was very annoying.

This stick was a simple solution and very easy to install. We found ourselves watching the streaming more than our cable so we cancelled in completely and haven’t regretted it (and neither has our wallets).

We now have one for our bedroom, one for the kids room and one for the living room. It has all the steaming platforms, YouTube and social media stuff like FB watch and TikTok as well as music and hundreds of radio stations.

I honestly have no complaints minus sometimes you may have to do a restart when things go wonky. I also like that you can pair it with all your other Alexia things and with the app I can make an announcement to my kids or hubby from miles away.

The Amazon Fire TV Omni Series is a very basic, entry-level 4k TV. Along with the Amazon Fire TV 4-Series, it’s one of the first Amazon-branded TVs. It improves on the 4-Series marginally, with Dolby Vision support on the larger sizes and better build quality.

It’s great for a dark room, with excellent contrast and good black uniformity. It’s bright enough to handle glare in most rooms, as long as you don’t have a lot of natural light. It has a great selection of streaming apps, and it can remove judder from any source, which is uncommon for a 60Hz TV.

The remote has built-in voice controls, and there are microphones on the TV for hands-free control. Unfortunately, it also has many of the same flaws as the 4-Series; it has disappointing accuracy out of the box, with just a basic white balance calibration system.

It also has a slow response time, resulting in noticeable blur behind fast-moving objects.

I got this 4k firestick to replace the previous 2nd gen I had, which altogether stopped working a little less than 2 years after purchase. This one started getting glitchy after just about 1 year. I’m not even using it for 4k or dolby plus, just 1080p and standard dolby surround and approximately 16 months later, it’s almost unusable at times.

Apps freezing up or otherwise not functioning properly, if at all. Even after manually stopping them, clearing the cache &/or data, uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc. Not to mention the increasing amount of bloatware.

Bad enough it only has “8gb” of internal storage, with no way to expand it. But, they keep adding to it, randomly, with their frequent updates. I should probably invest in an nvidia shield or at least, something better than this.

To have to keep replacing them every year or so, just isn’t worth it.

I’ve never had an Amazon Fire Stick before. I’ve tried numerous Roku’s only to send them back because my purpose was to eventually cut cable so I wanted a clear QVC and HSN channel like it is through cable.

Roku’s was not good at all. It wasn’t even HD. When I saw this on a Bonus Buy which was a tremendous price and I saw that you could stream QVC/HSN through it I thought I’ll give this a try since it supports 4K and I have a 4K TV.

For me though the tipping point was that I saw a “Mad Men” icon on the screen when he was presenting it, which is my all time favorite show that I haven’t been able to watch or find anywhere. It was on the IMDB channel.

So when I set it up, which was super easy and tells you exactly what to do, I searched for Mad Men and much to my delight I can now watch every episode again! Also when I downloaded the QVC/HSN app you can watch live.

The picture isn’t quite what you get through cable but certainly better than Roku’s, so it’s a winner for me to have this even if I used it for nothing else!.

When I cut my cords off cable expenses 5 years ago, I bought the original Fire TV Stick. It lasted and worked pretty good but recently after 5 years, it just died –no power, no connection. I researched the newer ones (Fire StIck LITE vs.

3rd generation) and found out the “FS Lite” remote does not correlate to your TV power and volume. So I went to Staples and purchased the regular 3rd generation (says “Fire TV Stick (supports HD 1080 streaming)” on the box and — wow.

Fast clicking, great power. This one does not support 4K, but I was fine with that because my older TV doesn’t have 4K anyway. TV picture is lucid clear, great. On the remote that comes with this stick, the Alexa button is highlighted in blue color now.

It has the 4 express buttons on the bottom to instantly bring up Netflix, Prime, Disney, Hulu. (Rather than always having to go back to a “Home” screen to change ) I could not believe how quick the express buttons connect you to those platforms.

I must say the quadcore processing power in this Fire Stick works very fast — which in an impressive feat considering this little thing has no fan or active cooling. (And unlike the “Lite” stick), the remote with this version stick DOES dovetail with your TV power and volume buttons.

So it’s very nice to use just one remote for mostly everything. Very pleased with my purchase. No complaints. Love it.

Nice improvement to the old fire stick we had. I mostly just wanted it for the shortcut buttons and to control the tv volume without having to keep 2 remotes on hand all the time. The previous fire stick had also started getting laggy despite updating it and emptying the cache constantly to improve performance, and this one has none of the same issues so the updated hardware was needed.

Setting up was fast and easy, and syncing with the tv to control the volume was also quick and painless. That process started automatically after the new fire stick finished setting itself up, no tv code or annoying info to find and type in.

Overall super happy with the upgrade and happy to finally have lag-free watching again.

This is the first time I purchased an Apple TV after using two versions of Amazon FireStick and I must say this is just miles better in every single way. Firstly its very fast and smooth without any lag or hiccups when making selections or browsing for content in Netflix or Prime.

The picture and sound quality are superb and even has an option that matches the original frame rate and colour space of the film or TV programme to give you the best possible viewing experience. The device itself is reassuringly heavy and there are only 3 ports at the back for power, HDMI and Ethernet.

At the front there is a tiny white LED when it is powered on. The sides are made from a black shiny plastic which gives is a nice slick look. Internally it supports the latest tech such as HDMI 2. 1, 1G Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.

0, Wi-Fi 6 802. 11ax, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. The remote is solid and made from aluminum and has all the buttons you need including a Siri button for voice commands, which is a joy to use. The only negative is the high price.

But then if you want the best streaming device nothing else comes close. Recommended.

I bought this as an upgrade to another streaming device I bought for £30. I honestly don’t know where to start with this device. Firstly Siri only brings up its own content and stuff from a few other services.

Although the device supports Netflix, Disney+ and Prime apps, Siri does not show content from these apps only it’s own content and a few other lesser known apps. This is very disappointing as other, cheaper mainstream devices offer cross service voice search functionality.

Considering the price of the device this is a a big disappointment. Also streaming video from phone and iPad is glitchy at best ( I have a top of the range Wi-Fi router) and also the remote doesn’t work with my TV even though it supports the hdmi protocol that is needed to make it work.

My TV is brand new – no idea why it doesn’t work but lots of people online talking about having similar issues. If you want a really restricted experience that is designed to push you to apple content then this device is for you.

Otherwise I would strongly urge you to save your money.

Having tried various streaming services across different devices and platforms, the Apple TV 4K is easily the most stable and reliable of them all. It may be the most expensive but if you’ve spent a lot of money already on decent audio visual kit, the Apple TV 4K also offers the best image and sound quality of any I’ve tried.

The ability to match frame rates and dynamic range of the source material means you get to see movies in the form they were intended to be seen at the cinema, at the correct speed and with the best colour reproduction.

Dolby Vision content in particular looks spectacular on a decent OLED or high-spec LCD TV. Compared to Sky Cinema’s UHD HDR movie content, the Apple TV 4K is in a different league when showing 4K HDR movies bought or rented via iTunes.

Hooked up via a home cinema amplifier, Dolby Atmos encoded movies & TV shows are absolutely sensational with full, rounded, multi-dimensional sound. All the main UK catch-up services are available – BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4 etc.

and integrate well with the Apple TV operating system. The BBC iPlayer can’t unfortunately show UHD content like it can on many iPlayer apps built into TVs but this will hopefully be updated by Apple in the future.

HD content upscaled by the Apple TV 4K all looks fantastic, really can’t fault it. Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ also show movies and TV shows in pin-sharp 4K with HDR. The Siri remote works extremely well.

You can simply say something like ‘play the next episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ and it will automatically open iPlayer and start playing the next episode. Very simple and extremely quick too. If you own other Apple devices like an iPhone or iPad then it’s easy to view any photos or videos you have on there on your TV screen.

I still own (and use) one of the oldest generations of Roku from like 2012, and despite some minor network issues, it functions just fine! Yes it is a little slow and needs an upgrade, but what would you expect with hardware that’s a decade old? Anyways the reason for my 5 star review is the content.

Roku has been innovative with its original selections with fewer ads (Roku TV) which I’ve come to love. It’s competing with other platforms such as Pluto TV (free cable-like streaming of channels) and I’m glued to Roku’s Lifetime movie channel and my daughter loves the kids programming.

We also like some of the free shows such as Kirby Jenner (parody show) and the full series of Thomas the Tank Engine. My point is, there’s such a wide selection of streaming content that you don’t need subscription for.

Roku’s hardware/software is user friendly and the apps are what make it the best streaming device ever! p. s. I don’t recommend Chrissy’s Court though. It’s stupid.

Pros: This Roku Stream Streambar 4K is as I have scored it excellent. I bought a streaming stick in mid 2014 which I used and this over the years in the time I had and I was pleased with it. I had a email from Roku a few weeks ago to say that this streaming stick would not be able to receive certain aspects that it once could.

I appreciated the fact of how technology progresses so understood it perfectly. They sent a link to what else they had on offer. I looked at it and discovered the Streambar. I researched where to buy it and immediately bought it.

The difference is amazing. The sound within it is splendid and you can obviously hear the difference very much. For me personally I can add other streaming services to this Roku Streambar and then pay for it accordingly.

From my own experience and I include Roku I really do recommend the Streambar.

Pros: 1) Plug and play works really well with several TVs. Great connecting cables supplied for HDMI and optical audio. 2) It turns a pre-Smart TV into a pseudo Smart TV. 3) Very straightforward interface and simple remote control4) Acts as a reasonable Soundbar/Bluetooth Speaker.

Tiny 4 X 8W speakers driven by separate Class D amplifiers is impressive considering its dimensions and weight. Cons: 1) Navigating to the USB input with the remote interface took a bit of working out.

Found it in Submenu of the System Menu. Should have been presented as a source/input2) Would have been nice to have an aux in source i. e. Phono or minijack but I guess that would have increased the bulk and the cost.

Similarly no headphone jack.

I am in the works of making my own modeling portfolio without a photographer. I want professional equipment and awesome lighting. I am on a budget though so this is a great option for me. The settings make it bright just like I was looking for and it is the perfect height for when I do a photo shoot.

If you are an artist of any kind this is a great right light to help perfect your photos.

The DVD player was ordered 6/30 with an HDMI cable and they were door dashed 7/1. The LG came new in sealed box. Remote control, simple pictorial setup guide included. No HDMI cable is included so need to order one.

A/V cables were included but I bought an HDMI cord to use. I’ve watched a few DVDs and it seems to be working fine. The DVD player remote is a good size and easy to read, came with two batteries. Setup menu is fairly simple.

I don’t know my RCA TV programming code so wasn’t able to program the LG player remote to control the TV, but I can control volume from the RCA TV remote control. The unit is pretty much plug and play with my simple setup.

Plug in the power cord and HDMI, turn on the TV, choose HDMI on the TV remote, turn on the DVD player, press the open/close button on the remote, put a DVD in the tray and press close on the remote. Choose play on the remote to play the movie, or choose DVD Menu on the DVD remote to look at the other choices.

I mostly watch older shows and movies available on DVD, so I bought a DVD player rather than a BluRay for about half the price. I’ve never owned a DVD player before, only RCA and Panasonic VCRs that lasted over 15 years (20 for the Panasonic), both totally functional when I gave them away, but have LG cellphones and LG CD player/stereo, so chose to try an LG.

Needed a replacement DVD player to replace an older one that had a very sticky tray and complex electronics. It was a BlueRay player and I decided I only had a couple of BlueRay discs and lots of standard DVD discs which this player plays very well.

Am very happy with that primary function. I VERY pleased also with the USB audio recording function. I have many audio CDs and now my Honda CRV doesn’t have a CD player but it has several USB outlets that feed the sound system.

But how do you transfer those CDs to USB? This unit does it automatically. Makes beautiful sounding DVDs in the mp3 file format. Great idea and this is the only player that has it. Best Buy’s price was right on!.

I purchased LG DVD player with MP3 playback/JPEG viewer-black. I have another of the same model. I got this for TV in another room. It is a good basic DVD player. When you stop play & then resume,it continues from place you left off.

Not all cheaper dvd players do that. I have basic 720 & 1080pp Insignia & Toshiba TVs. It works well with those TVs. I don’t know how good it is with a higher resolution TV. I have not used the other features.

I only use it to play DVDs. The small size is a plus. I have not tried the new one yet to see if it works. I probably wouldn’t pay more than $30 because it is so basic. & I had to get a price match to make it that price.

This is an actual review and not someone who bought one of these, used it once and thought it was a wonderful thing. like most people who write reviews. I have used one that I bought on EBay for about 2.

5 yrs when needed. The picture is good. The sound/speaker is poor and, most of the time, on the loudest setting, you can barely here it. All the buttons/controls do not work unless you push them really hard several times.

And then sometimes, the button does what the button beside it should do. It was like this from new. The last straw for this thing with me was that the power port for the a/c adapter started to not work sometime b/c it had gotten loose.

Overall, this is a very poor quality device and I would not recommend anyone buying it. I only wrote this review because I got on ebay to get another one and came accross this one that I could review and try to help some folks out.

DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

There is apparently no AV output option for this device. There is an aux port LABELED “AV output,” but no cable combination we tried could achieve output of audio OR visual to our TV. I wrote the manufacturer multiple emails simply asking them to point me toward a compatible cable.

The “same rep” would respond insisting that someone would call me – it has been 17 days with no reply to this very basic question. I am disgusted with Sylvania’s poor product and utter lack of customer service.

If you intend to use entirely as a contained unit, it has been functional enough, but personally I’ve concluded that this company does not value its customers and I will not be supporting them through any future purchases.

This is a cheap product. The console buttons NEVER worked properly–could operate only with remote. The battery only worked a couple of times; after that could only use if plugged in. The picture and sound were decent.

None of the modes ever worked except playing a DVD. I got about 3 yrs. use & then it just abruptly stopped working. If you think 3 yrs. is ok, you’ve gotten too used to junk. I am a single adult who always handled the player carefully.

Also, the manual was clearly written by someone who didn’t speak English well, and while I don’t begrudge that at all, it does speak to cheap out-sourcing.

Pros: Bought for kids, had it connected to old crt TV via hdmi to scart converter. I was amazed at the picture quality compared to cable. Was easy to setup and remote is a good size for small hands and I can get signal to device even whilst pointing upwards, if there are any obstacles in front of it.

The device can be connected to ypur mobile via app which makes searching very easy. All popular streaming services can be watched ie disney, prime, netfix and theres also roku channel which has alot of free tv and movies.

Once you have setup a roku account in order to install the device you can remove your credit card details via account settings on your mobile to prevent accidental purchases. Mobile feature makes it so easy to just disconnect and take into another room.

Very cheap compared to monthly cable charges so will probably purchase another. Cons: I tried the screen mirror but oonly displays a frozen picture of mobile screen. Not sure why, will try miracast. Having a lot of problems with videos buffering on youtube and disney although roku channel is working fine past few days, again not sure.

Its been working fine since purchase.

Claims to be “easy setup”. Its easy to plug in, but then it needs you to register and it needs a credit card number before it will even let you use the box, then most of the main channels (all 4, itv hub, uktv play) all need you to register before you can watch anything.

Far from easy to use, I’m computer literate and it took me over 2 hours to get it all set up and register with all the channels. The hardware is pretty good, but has one glaring issue, It only supports 2.

4 gig WiFi, there is no 5g support. These were apparently first produced in 2016, which is the excuse for them not having 5g wifi. The hardware could of been easily modified/improved at factory level to include 5g, so I don’t know why Roku failed to do it.

Its a glaring oversite! There are thousands of channels you can add, though many of them are junk and just dont work properly, but if you rifle through the trash there are some good channels to be found.

In conclusion: If they added 5g wifi and removed the need to input a credit card while registering the box it would get a higher rating. The fact there is so many non working trash channels also reduces the rating.

But, overall a very nice responsive box, which gives good picture and sound quality. The remote control works a heck of s lot better thanthe older Roku boxes.

I first bought a Roku stick back in 2015 but when Roku Express became available a year later, I snapped one up. It might be the best $30 I’ve ever spent. Almost six years (and a 6,000-mile move to Asia) later, my Express is still working fine, although the remote doesn’t interact as quickly with the box as it used to.

My only gripe is that I can’t control the TV’s volume or turn it off (or on) with the remote, but I knew that when I bought it and what do you expect for thirty bucks anyway? I’ve more than received my money’s worth.

What initially sold me was the fact that the Express box doesn’t need to be plugged into a wall outlet but is powered by the TV itself. Roku’s selection and ease of use speak for themselves. Would I recommend a Roku Express to a friend? Absolutely, although I suspect an Express 4K+ or Premiere is what I’LL upgrade to when the time comes and some friends might prefer something a little more high-end like the Ultra.

All in all, Roku has been a Godsend. I cut the cord in 2016 and KNOW I’ve saved thousands of dollars since because I only use free channels. I wish I could watch Crackle, all Roku Channel programs and especially Pluto TV here in the Philippines, but that’s the way it goes.
