Thank you for making a teapot that is everything I ever wanted. I received my teapot and made a wonderful blend of herbs from my yard: cleavers, lemon balm, violets, mint, catnip, chickweed, ground ivy and dandelion.

The teapot is a superb design with great attention to detail. The tea stayed hot for a number of hours without a tea-cozy, the handle which stays cool is well designed for easy use. The spout pours the liquid effortlessly without drips.

The leaves do not escape from the pot into my cup because of the well designed spout strainer. I appreciate having a minimal amount of metal in contact with my herbs. The silicone gasket on the lid makes an excellent seal.

This tea pot should be in the Museum of Modern Art!.

This was a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! The packaging and presentation is gorgeous and I love that it is planet-friendly. The tea kettle is perfect for someone that is a minimalist and likes having an easy way to steep tea.

I love the look of this but unfortunately it never seems to dry up and always retains moisture beads inside the tea pot. Then I worry that it’s going to mold the bamboo top so I remove the top but that’s part of why I like the look of it in the first place.

The unboxing of this tea kettle made me feel like I just opened a present. So perfectly packaged. Top notch quality and beautiful shade of green. My husband and I are tea drinkers and we have purchased more kettles than I care to talk about.

No matter how clean we keep our kettles, somehow there is always a buildup of sorts on the bottom. The last kettle was leaving a residue in our mugs. So when I saw this one, I knew that I was going to have to have it.

It is the best tea kettle we have ever purchased. My husband checks the inside each time we use it. Every time it is clear. Believe it or not, the tea even tastes better. My husband mentioned it first and I definitely agreed with him.

As far as price, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I have your bakeware set, and that is the best bakeware I have ever owned.

Other than the fact that FedEx lost my package for several days and the outside box was heavily damaged when it finally arrived (FedEx’s fault, not Caraway’s), I was thrilled to finally receive my new tea kettle.

The fact that the tea kettle wasn’t damaged from rough Fedex handling is a testament to the sturdy and protective internal Caraway box. The tea kettle’s mist color matches other kitchen appliances of the same color so it looks lovely on my stovetop.

The subtle whistle is a nice change over an older, loud tea kettle. This was my first purchase from Caraway and—FedEx shipping problems aside—I will no doubt be back in the future to do more shopping.

I don’t love that the lid is so hard to take off, it’s a real struggle for me! I’m tempted every time to just leave the thing on & pour the water in through the spout! Lol I’m also not used to the whisper quiet whistle! It’s like someone trying there best to whistle, but they just can’t.

Lol! I think that’s more from the low temperature though, so no big deal. I love that the water boils very quickly. I love the large capacity & how easy it is to clean.

I love the design of this kettle, and the springs on the whistle cap work great to keep it shut tight when Im boiling water. Huge capacityeasily double what I need for a pot of teaand the handle is comfortable to hold with the button to release the whistle in a good spot.

The spout pours cleanly, too, which Ive noticed isnt always true of straight spouts.

The collar was bought to replace a similar Ancol one, The new one is wider, the buckle is bigger, and it is longer than the previous one. To save cutting the collar to length, and risk the end fraying, I attached an elastic hair tie to tuck the end in.

Overall, the collar is good quality, fits well, and I would recommend it.

I drink a lot of tea and need a reliable and easy to use kettle, even if it is expensive. I am looking for the best. So I went for this one from Le Creuset. But what a disappointment! Where to start? First, when the water is boiling (that’s when you pour the water out no?) you can’t actually pour it out because it sort of “jumps out” in gulps spilling the steaming hot water all over your table.

It is designed that way. Don’t ask. The instruction actually says not to fill it for more than about ⅔ and wait before pouring (?!). The lid is very tight and hard to open and close. It gets really uncomfortable when it is hot and you need to add water.

But, if you do not close the lid tightly it won’t whistle. If it doesn’t whistle and you are doing something else, the water would quietly boil out (there was not a full kettle there to begin with). If it boils out, the front cover and the whistle would melt down and the whole thing turns brown and useless.

That’s what happened to my first kettle of this model. How it is possible that Le Creuset would made a bad kettle? It must be me. I blamed myself and bought just the same as a replacement. Now I’m on my second kettle and having exactly the same problems.

It is almost unbelievable how bad and dysfunctional can be something this simple and yet expensive. Considering just putting it in the garbage, it is that bad. Anyway, there are many other kettles. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE.

I love it! I use it everyday to slowly simmer whole seeds for an ayurvedic tea which I drink everyday. I also use it to boil water for other teas. The top of the handle is not that hot to pour, but if you grab the back to pour – it’s a bit hotter and you may want to use an oven mitt.

I did read other reviews saying it was heavy. If you fill it up all the way, it would be heavy. There’s a line inside the pot, and that’s where I stop. I’m not known for upper body strength, and I don’t feel it’s too heavy.

However, you can always use your other hand with a mitt on, if you want to use 2 hands to pour. I keep it out on the stove, and it looks beautiful. I have all-clad pots as well, on our induction stove.

I have owned this kettle a little over a year and have generally been pleased with it. I found the balance of the kettle when filled with water seemed a little ‘off’ which made pouring slightly awkward, but not a major issue.

Just recently the three piece whistling mechanism popped off. I’m seeing through the reviews that others have had this same problem and would indicate a design flaw with the kettle’s spout. I’m sorry that I got rid of my perfectly functioning Chantal kettle that I had for fifteen plus years.

This is my third 2-quart All-Clad kettle. I use a kettle three to four times a day, so have gotten good service from them, to say the least. The whistle to the first one died after five years and was replaced under warranty.

The second one suffered a similar fate, and in fairness, as I had received fair value from the first two, paid for this one rather than relying on the warranty. Look forward to many more “French press” pots of coffee from this, the third kettle.

I am going to disagree with the reviewer that says it looks nothing like the picture, it looks exactly like the picture. It’s not a big kettle but you can see a reference to that on the picture that has a hand in it.

Yes, it is lightweight and that’s a good thing because it heats up very fast. I’ve never timed this but I feel like the water heats faster when the tea infuser is in there from the start. Also, I dropped it and it didn’t dent.

My friend accidentally heated this using a high flame on my gas stove and it didn’t warp. The flame was coming out the sides. It’s black so it changed the color a little bit it’s not noticeable. I don’t need an arm workout when I’m pouring tea as I’m mostly right handed and then I’d have only one toned arm so, to me, the lightweight thing is a good thing.

The thermometer is awesome and it’s easy to remove to add the the tea. I’ve used it for about a year and it still has a good seal. It looks beautiful just sitting out on my cooktop, it never gets put away.

Loving my Raven Stovetop Kettle (sorry, not using it for tea, however and no matter) Makes me happy every morning to fill it up with water for my Chemex coffee maker. And the thermometer – can’t believe how much I love being aware of making sure the temp is just right for my brew! Raven is so handsome as well and handle is at just the right angle to pour without steam issues to my hand.

I couldn’t recommend this any higher. If it was updated it would be nice to have little tick marks for # of cups so no guessing would be necessary (or use of a measuring cup).

I contemplated over a long time before buying this kettle because of it’s small size and some other reviews I read online, but I took the dive because it was one of the best looking designed kettles out there.

We are a household of 2 people, and I must say that the size works for us. It’s nice to have the temperature gauge at the top and the tea basket. The kettle warms up pretty quickly on our gas stove. What I don’t love about it, and why I gave it a 3, is because the handle has already melted just a little at the bottom of the stick, the paint has chipped off on some parts of the bottom and the flames leave a mark on the black paint.

As much as I love it, I would not recommend it because it doesn’t seem like it is a product that lasts.

Had this for about a year. Still works great. Directions states to keep the kettle filled with water to avoid rusting in the bottom of kettle. If the water has been there more than 2 days I just rinse it out or clean it with vinegar solution.

There is plastic in kettle but it shouldn’t touch the water and above the recommended fill line. Enough water for 2 small cups of coffee pour over or 1 large plus half cup.

I finally purchased this after reading all the reviews on it. I’ve used this for a few months now. There are a handful of reviews talking about the rust of this kettle, but I haven’t come across this.

(I think a lot of people don’t realize that you shouldn’t have water sitting in the kettle, or especially that you are NOT supposed to reboil boiled water-it’s detrimental to your health. ) After I boil water, I pour out the remaining and leave the top open to let the steam and heat out, and my tea kettle looks good as new.

Also maybe it’s the way the kettle is shaped but when my water boils the whistling doesn’t get screechingly loud. It’s just a nice whistling sound. I think also due to its wider base, the water seems to boil fairly quickly.

It’s a great size for 2 full glasses of tea, maybe 3.

I love this kettle, especially the size! It’s easy to pour and not too heavy. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star, was because the whistle is barely a sound!! I really wanted a tea kettle that had a whistle that I could hear downstairs, but I had to stand near it to hear! Other than that, it’s a great tea kettle that’s the perfect size.

I love this glass tea kettle. About every 6-8 months I purchase one from BBB because over time the hard water & calcium deposits stain the glass so much. It’s difficult to scrub it clean so I just buy a new one.

In June 2022 I purchased one from BBB. There were none in the stores so it was ordered & shipped to me which I greatly appreciated. I was also able to use my 20% coupon which helped because the price in the past was much lower than the current price.

I found the same exact product at a grocery store for a few dollars less and ended up returning the one at BBB and bought 3 from that grocery store. It’s a shame because the price at BBB used to be competitive and I’d rather buy this item along with my other merchandise from BBB than from the grocery store.

It was inexpensive and has very good reviews, so I bought it via BBB web site. The package arrived, I opened it and read the tiny print instructions – lots of warnings & don’t. Here’s a few: don’t heat if water level is below 24oz; for electric ranges use a small size burner 5.

6″diameter or less and place the metal, wire trivet on the burner to diffuse the heat; immediately remove the kettle from stovetop once water has reached a boil. The “trivet” is a thin wire, clover shaped, and smaller than the kettle.

I put the trivet on the burner and the kettle on the trivet – it was unstable and easily slid off! A real safety hazard! I went to the web site to return it, entered the order # and it said I can’t return it because it “hasn’t shipped yet”.

Returning it to the store today!!!.

I use this for my tea and to boil my Chinese Herbs. I put the herbs directly in the tea pot and boil on low. The bowl part of the kettle is very round and the neck is thinner so the herbs do not escape when I pour.

(I pour very slow so the herbs do not come out). I read that borosilicate glass is the healthiest way to boil water since no chemicals leach into the water like when you boil with steel, or other types of materials.

The whistle is very low and it not annoying. Use common sense and use an oven mitt to remove your kettle off of the fire. I recommend keeping your fire on low instead of high. This will ensure the plastic handle does not melt.

I love glass and enjoy the clean line and water visibility of this item. Also, i prefer to keep a kettle on my cooktop but don’t like the cluttered look of other ones. Finally, I am a tea drinker and prefer to boil water in a kettle rather than microwave.

Nice look and color- The disappointment was the inside and bottom started to rust where the spots of water or what looks like rust. brownish stains. I’ve tried proper gentle cleaning. I’ve not had one that did this before or easily scratch,scuff,rust on the stainless” steel part of kettle.

it is a little heavy,hard to pour for me. I’m used to little lighter weight. or to offset weight, it should be easy to pour ( at the spout) and get All water out. the design leaves behind some water -without tilting it what seems to be completely upsidown.

I’ve tried drying it on the stove which would usually work with other kettle. I also leave it open to dry with lid off. it takes for ever to dry. since I can’t turn off the whistle it makes it harder to let it dry on low heat.

u have to hold open the press lever for the spout to stop the whistle. If you do a review you get extended warranty but I haven’t even had it that long and it looks nice but overall use and function I have to give it 3 stars.

I don’t like returning things. Please fix this because it’s really nice looking. Maybe the company has a better way to clean it. ?.

This kettle is gorgeous, but it arrived with scratches and dings on the shiny red surface. They’re small and won’t affect performance, but if I’d spent more on this, I’d return it. It does give me pause about how well it’s going to hold up to getting banged around, but for this price I am willing to take the chance.

As others have noted, you must hold the spout open while pouring, and so there’s no way to disable the whistling function, if that’s an issue for you.

It looks stunning and does the job. I’m yet to see how it stands up to the test of time, but I’m impressed so far. Love the deep red color and the wide base. I also like that it does not have silicon/plastic components around the spout.

Whistle is the right volume: laud enough to hear from the other room but not doesn’t wake up the whole neighborhood.

I’ve used this kettle daily for the past week and the quality is great. Light with larger capacity but sturdy and no rust so far. My only complaint is that the whistle is much louder than previous kettles I’ve owned, and that’s only an issue because my kitchen shares walls with other apartments.

The whistle on my tea pot stopped working so I bought this item because I need to hear the whistle. It certainly makes a whistle! So pleased. This is a great looking sturdy well made tea kettle.

I purchased this kettle to replace another one that had a silicone wrapped handle, but was still too hot to touch after the water was boiled and ready to pour. The kettle does not boil water any quicker than other kettles.

This kettles handle grip will stay cool, as long as you use a low-medium gas flame while bringing your water to the boil. Any higher than that and you will need to use a pot holder to pick up the kettle and pour.

The spout as well will sputter and spit while pouring if your flame was too high and the spout was overheated. While pouring and holding the kettle, it is comfortable and ergonomic in its handling, and feels well balanced.

The whistle is rather weak, but does its job. Opening and closing the whistle can also lead to burns if you left the kettle boil too long, as the hot water condenses on the whistle and when you flip it open to pour, you can be splashed with scalding water.

The shape of the kettle is awkward looking to me and not one I am fond of. The finish as well is brushed stainless steel, and I believe it would have made a much classier looking kettle had it sported a polished finish, despite its unconventional shape.

The large opening for filling and cleaning as well as the tight fitting lid are the best features of this kettle.

I purchased the OXO Good Grips Brushed S. S. tea kettle in late Sept. of 2020. I choose to buy this item because of: the brand name, materials used for its construction, and the extra large pot size.

Only responsible, adult family members have used the pot since owning it. We used it about 10-12 times before the center whistle indicator on the spout lid popped out of position and onto the stove top and counter upon lifting the spout lid in order to pour the hot water.

It appears that the center “whistler” was (poorly) spot welded after placing it in the center of the spout’s lid cover. Unfortunately the whistle piece cannot be easily hammered or crimped back into position without causing damage to the spout lid’s remaining structure.

For obvious reasons adhesives cannot be used to make the repair. We will continue to use the kettle, but the whistle feature was a nice addition to alert the user when the water temperature had been successfully reached, now we just have to keep checking on it.

I expected this $40 + tax tea kettle to last fully in tact for much longer than it actually did, not just one month. We’ve been very careful to follow the manufacture’s instruction by: not filling above middle of the spout’s (internal) opening, using a medium or lower heat setting/flame, and not allowing the pot to remain on any heated source after it began to boil and whistled.

The printed information on the outside of the box indicates that the pot was manufactured in China.

I wanted a kettle that would last a long time and look good being left on the stove near my tea station, while not being ridiculously priced or have enamel that could chip. This kettle is perfect. As long as you properly fill to be below the spout opening inside the kettle, air flow will allow it to whistle.

It’s a soft whistle by design so if you want a loud one look at other kettles. I prefer this whistle because it’s loud enough to hear from the next room and is not “anxiety inducing”. Touch points stay cool.

Plastic falling off the kettle after only a week. Lid lifter falls off constantly. Handle rivets are really loose and I don’t see it lasting more than a couple of months. Really poorly manufactured and overpriced for its poor quality.

Such a smart kettle with a cheery whistle that tells you it’s time for tea! It’s very lightweight, in pretty pastel blue and shiny chrome. The foldable handle is heatproof but you do need an oven glove to open the spout for pouring.

Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I love the color and the small size. I especially love that it DOES NOT WHISTLE! The water does not boil as quickly as my last two Tea Kettles, but a few extra minutes does not bother me at all. If a whistling tea kettle irritates and/or assaults your ears, then you will love this one!.

It is a plain very useful teakettle! Works great, looks great and no bells and whistles complications. Ordered in the beautiful bright red color!!! Easy to fill, easy to pour, water, heats quickly and handle stays cool.

Tea kettle perfect!.

The tea kettle is comfortable to pour and works just fine. It is advertised as a 2 quart kettle. If you fill it completely full it will hold 2 quarts but then it will bubble over before it boils. To be advertised as 2 quart it should be a little bigger.

Not strong enough for an everyday teapot. It broke after two days of using. Should be made of stronger Pyrex.
