The effect is as described. It adds good “thickness” to the hair & also gives a nice feel to it when you run your hands through it after it’s dried. The hold is more on the low end which is expected and described to be as this isn’t a pomade or clay and is just the right amount of hold that I like for my 6 inch hair.

Overall it leaves your hair looking hydrated and overall pleasing. Doesn’t look dry or look greasy. The main reason for the 3. 5 stars is the price in combination with the amount. For the price of the product, you just really need more in the bottle.

If the amount per bottle was increased by roughly 1 to 1. 25 ounces I’d for sure give a higher rating and make this my new everyday product. Since the product isn’t a clay or pomade or things like that, one bottle of this doesn’t last long at all.

For this type of hair product you just need the amount per bottle to be a little larger for $20 (around 30$ after tax and shipping). Since the consumer who uses this will apply this to the entire head of hair to give overall “thickness” and not just apply it to the front, top, and a little on the sides like one would with a clay or pomade.

I’ve been a user of Clay for seven years and decided to try Thick because P&P hasn’t let me down yet. I have a shorter hairstyle and slightly thinning in the rear crown. The hold is lighter than Clay and this is better for more casual days when I want a little less weight and hold and still can still my hair like I want.

It leaves my hair feeling like there’s almost no product in it and it smells great! I’m almost tempted to switch to Thick full time. For those gents who want and lighter styling product, Thick is for you!!!.

I must say that I was disappointed with this product. I used a pea sized amount, thinned it out with a splash of water on my hands and ran it through towel dry hair and proceeded to style. When everything finally dried I felt like I had a bit of a hair helmet.

And when I broke things up a bit, my hair just felt clumpy. and brushing it out seemed to destroy the overall styling. I tried it twice and threw it away.

I have used a number of UC’s products but continue to use the Matte Pomade continuously. It has a great hold, no shine which is a huge plus. My hair is still flexible especially if during the day I need to touch it up or change the look a bit, I just add a bit of water on my hands and style to what I want.

It washes out completely when I shower at the end of the day leaving nothing behind. I couldn’t imagine being without this product. I forgot to pack it one time on a trip and I couldn’t find a shop that sold it in the area I was in and had to use a product that was recommended by a barber.

It cost more and it flat out sucked! I dealt with it for a week. Couldn’t wait to get home and toss it in the trash. Now I keep it in my to go grooming bag and never without it! I could go on, but I think you get the picture or should.

Over lockdown I grew my hair out like a lot of people and decided to go to for a traditional barber cut afterwards ending up with a slick back style. I found my existing hair products a bit lacking so decided to look into getting more professional (if you will) products.

After some research I liked the look of Uppercut’s products and also their brand ideals and after browsing their site settled on the Matte Pomade. Now that I’ve been using it for a while and figured out the best amount and application for my hair I’m really pleased with it.

It’s light and not too shiny giving my hair a natural look which I really like. It also washes out well with water meaning I don’t have to put my hair through shampooing every day but still working without making my hair greasy or limp a couple of days after shampooing.

I do find I need to hold the sides with some hairspray but that could be down to my hair or inexperience in styling longer hair (any plans for adding hairspray to your range?). Just on a side note, I was sent a really handy little guide with the product that gave scores out of 10 for hold and shine for all the styling products which was much more helpful than the info on the site in my opinion.

Smells minty fresh! Its my husband’s but I use it on my hair. It smells so good! I absolutely love this product and I use it right after the shower with damp hair. It helps with detangling. After I blow dry my hair it looked the best it had looked in ages.

This product is great for both men and woman’s hair! I LOVE all redken products they are fantastic.

Its hard to believe that a product like this can actually work. I typically assume that anything that claims it will give you thicker hair is snake oil. I have used several Nioxin products in the past that produced minor results, however, this stuff here blew my expectations out of the park.

I used this along side the matching hair thickening shampoo and fell completely in love. My hair has never ben so thick and manageable. No more falling flat and having that one weird piece sticking straight up.

This stuff is expensive. no doubt about it. In reality you need 1 maybe two pumps, I have been using this daily for about 10 days and have not even put a dent in the bottle yet. The cost brakes out to maybe 25cents a day if even.

I highly recommend to anyone looking to add real volume and have their hair feel thicker and be more manageable.

My hair has always been on the thin side so I was excited to give Kerastase Genesis Homme Spray De Force Epaississant. I wasn’t sure it could really do what it claims, but thought I’d give it a shot.

Wow, I’m so glad I did! After washing your hair you simply sprat Kerastase Genesis Homme Spray De Force Epaississant into your hands. Then you work it gently through your hair. Not only does your hair immediately feel and look thicker, but you also get some hold from the spray.

Basically, it gives your hair immediate and long lasting body which it didn’t have before. This is especially helpful if you have shorter hair. Some products I’ve tried in the past leave your hair and hands sticky.

This one doesn’t and that alone is a great benefit. I should also mention that it has a great upscale salon smell to it. Makes you feel like a million bucks. I would definitely recommend!.

The smell is amazing- light but not overpowering. I am sensitive to fragrance but this does not bother me. Every time I use it my spouse comments on the love of the scent. Overall this product works really nice.

I don’t like to add to much to my thick hair as normal products leave my hair greasy and heavy. The Kerastase left no build up and increased shine which held for days after blow drying and straightening.

I tried leaving in overnight before blow drying and blow drying right away. Although results were better blow drying right away. Waiting still gave good results. As someone who suffers from bouts of alopecia related to illness I look forward to seeing how continued use impacts my hair strength.

I just bought two more bottles. I would have purchased the Invanti scalp revitalizing shampoo but it was out of stock. I like the fact that this product makes my hair feel a bit thicker but I have no idea if, absent use of the accompanying shampoo that it works long term.

For such an expensive product, I think that Aveda could include separate product description and use instructions. For instance, as a FAQ, will this product work, if I don’t use it with the Invanti Shampoo? Is if fine to use with the other Aveda products that I do use but are not targeted for hair thickening? Of do I continue purchases on a hope and a wish?.

I was excited to try this line for men, but I’ve found a few issues that I’d like to point out for other guys who want to be “in the know. ” First, I purchased the full-sizes of both shampoo and Scalp Revitalizer.

The smell of both are just fine, and do have that “Aveda-ish” scent. Thankfully, it doesn’t linger or compete with any fragrance/cologne you may be wearing. Upon inspecting the ingredient list of the Scalp Revitalizer when it arrived, the very first ingredient is ALCOHOL! I did a double-take as usually there’s Water/Aqua first on these types of products, but alcohol?! I called Aveda, and pointed this out and was told that it is in fact correct and that the alcohol is derived from corn.

Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but alcohol is in fact the very first ingredient. Next, the consistency of the Scalp Revitalizer isn’t too bad. it can feel slightly tacky as you work it through your scalp, but nothing that would make me not use the product.

It does seem to leave portions of my hair “dry” feeling. I don’t much care for the applicator tip because it’s hard to tell when it’s actually coming out and hitting the scalp. I find that I wind up with more product at the top and back of my head than in the front.

I wish a spray-like mechanism for this bottle was incorporated rather than a tip very similar to what you’d find on a glue bottle. Finally, and most importantly, the claims of this product (and the shampoo) are based on the fine print of: “Due to breakage in a clinical test of the invati men™ system after 12 weeks.

†In a 12-week consumer test. ” Hair breakage is NOT hair loss. For most men, hair loss is far more of a pressing matter than breakage. Hair breakage happens from over-processing hair, too much product, braiding of hair (women), tangled hair that isn’t brushed properly, etc.

To tell the difference, if the hair you are seeing fall out has jagged or frayed ends, that’s breakage. If the strands have the root still attached the hair shaft, you have hair loss. Hair loss is the biggest concern for us guys.

While the Aveda Invati system DOES thicken my hair (instantly/cosmetically), I would rather use a system that addresses hair LOSS, and not BREAKAGE as outlined in the clinical tests which the marketing of this product is heavily based on.

The unisex version of the invati scalp revitalizer has a pump applicator the dispenses a consistent amount and distributes it evenly. The men’s version is impossible to measure and distribute with any consistency.

You’re supposed to squeeze the bottle and draw three lines on your scalp. Depending on how hard you squeeze and how fast you draw the lines you can get a different amount with each application. Worse, the tip develops buildup that clogs little by little.

It dispenses far less after the bottle is half empty. By the time I get to the end of the bottle I’m scraping out the buildup. So even if you could squeeze the bottle and draw the lines on your scalp consistently, the amount applied would still vary.

The only recourse is to open the tip only part way (this much, or that much?) and estimate how much you think you need. But even after many months of use, it’s still trial and error. I don’t drench my scalp as often as I used to, but it shouldn’t be a gamble on a product that’s this expensive.

The dispenser is the worst aspect of any Aveda product that I’ve ever used. It’s a bad joke.

I have a bone to pick with Redken. I think I speak for many loyal customers when I say, you stopped making the REDKEN #Waterwax3 and rebranded it for MEN. Girls, if you check out Redken Brews WAX POMADE (not clay or cream) BUT WAX POMADE, you will see that it looks identical to the WATER WAX 3! This product was the ONLY product that would work by texturizing my waves/curls.

I loyally used this product for the better part of 10 years. Noe, while I get there are many curl products for women, and men need products too. , I begrudgingly am buying a MENS HAIR WAX PRODUCT for the lack of a replacement of the Water Wax 3.

I just wish the “Marketing Folks” at Redken would have been an loyal to their female customers as they are their “bottom line” $$&. I don’t mind using a mens product but it just took me A YEAR to run out of my #Waterwax and find a good replacement.

I am a fanatic about finding great hair styling products. I like strong hold, but not rock hard. I like flexibility that also keeps your hair styled throughout the day. This was a great choice for what I was looking for.

Easy to wash out, smells nice and easy to rub into your hands to shape that hair. I have hair that’s short on the sides and long on top (long part is pushed to one side). Cool branding/packaging too.

I had high hopes for this product because it’s redken. I have a pixie cut and like to push my hair back, almost slicked but not shiny. Literally all this did was make my hair look dirty and greasy, even though I used a tiny amount.

It had zero hold. It really weighed my hair down and took away all of the volume I worked so hard to put into it. I just all around hate this product. Returning it ASAP. Don’t recommend.

The Loreal Vitamino product line are all great; this one is exceptional, particularly for color treated, dry or damaged hair. I use this masque for a once weekly heat treatment: Apply after shampooing, cover your hair with a plastic cap, apply the blow dryer (low heat) for 5-6 minutes, and rinse.

You will love the results!.

This very expensive product fell short. It does absolutely nothing. It’s a thick, BAD smelling oil that I can’t tell I’ve put any product on my hair after using it. Definitely a way overpriced bottle of oil.

It’s like the KM shampoos and conditioners…. nothing special about it and see no results and will not buy again. I will stick with Doo Over, Session Spray and the detangler spray. I’ve tried about every single KM product since my hair stylist only uses this brand and it’s only 3 products that I’ll buy out of all of them.

I am obsessed with Kevin Murphy products!! They smell incredible and work miracles on my color-treated hair. My stylist recommended a value set last winter with the Hydrate-me Wash and Rinse and this treatment oil was basically free.

Using these products together for the past 8 months has completely changed my hair. I get my dark blonde hair colored every 6 weeks and this regimen has made my hair soft, shiny (which is HARD for color-treated blonde hair), and almost no frizz.

My hair is about 6-8” past my shoulders and thick so I only wash it 3x a week. I use 5-6 pumps on my towel-dried hair before blow drying and its super lightweight but nourishing and smells like monoi (Tahitian gardenia).

This has great hold and gives a natural matte look which was exactly what I was looking for. I love that they use safe ingredients that not only style, but nourish your hair. I’d also recommend the ‘hair food’ which I use with this product.

I can already notice the improvement in my hairs volume from these two products! Also, their customer service is 10/10. They were very responsive and helpful when I reached out about an issue with a different product.

I decided to try the Hair Mud and Palmade to replace my current hairstyling product. The Hair Mud was a clear winner, as it kept my hair in place all day and into the next morning through my workouts, smelled great and washed out with ease.

plus my wife really loved the look and smell as well. I tried the Palmade, and it was a great product that I recommend trying if Palmade works for your hair, but it did not work for me personally. I emailed Gavin at VITAMAN and asked if I could exchange the Palmade for another Max Mud, and he made it happen! Gavin also followed up with me several times to make sure I was completely satisfied with both the product and service, and this made all the difference in my decision to switch my hair styling product.

Can’t wait to try more VITAMAN products in the future!.

I was using the Redken manuver wax for years. Loved that product. This one does have as strong of a hold, has more shine, and doesn’t smell as good, albeit it doesn’t smell bad. It is fine for short hair, but if you use it on hair longer than approximately 2 inches, it won’t hold your hair very well without some other supplemental product.

I’ll finish using what I have but probably won’t buy again.

As a 40y old with stick straight, fine, slightly thinning hair I am constantly on the lookout for volumizing products. And I’ve tried most of the top brands (Virtue, Bumble and Bumble, Ouai, Kerastase, etc).

I also rely heavily on reviews before making purchases. I saw this product, saw it had glowing reviews—over 200 5 star ones and purchased. This has got to be one of the most lack-luster products I’ve ever used.

Produced no visible results and actually WEIGHED my hair down. It made my hair tacky and hard to comb through like a hairspray would. It’s a shame that Sephora allows so many “incentivized” reviews on their site because it’s very misleading to non-social media influencers who do not get boxes of free product in exchange for positive reviews.

I was stuck on choosing this one of the Ouai volume spray. But majority of the comments for this one was more positive than negative. No I’m not one who solely goes off reviews! I decided to go with this one and I love how it is completely toxic free! So I tried it one time I could instantly notice the difference.

As someone who has fine hair it was noticeable! The next day my nail artist asked if I blowed dried out my hair because it looked “thick” it had a full appearance. That was enough for me to say okay continuing using! Now understand everyone hair is different what works for me may not work the same for you.

But honestly this product really amazed me! I would def repurchase.

i usually hate the feeling of styling products on my hair & they ruinnn my hair, BUT THIS DOESNT! it styles my hair beautifully while also not making my hair feel too heavy or look greasy. it’s hard to use products with blonde hair because you can almost always see it in your hair throughout the day.

i this was one of the few that has worked for my blonde hair!! i don’t “see” it in my hair. it’s light weight and invisible. this product also has made my hair shines (as has this wholllllle line!!).

Styles are easy to achieve with this product. It makes hair look full and textured. Despite being oily, it does not feel greasy. It does not dry hard and remains malleable throughout the day. To add a lived-in vibe and texture to freshly washed hair, I apply to my freshly washed hair.

The consistency is slightly thick and slightly oily to the touch. I like to warm the balm between my fingertips before applying to make the application easier. It’s supposed to have a low shine, but it’s more of a low shine/subtle gloss.

While this is not the easiest thing to wash out, only a little shampoo is required to clean your hair thoroughly. It leaves no residue in my hair and is not sticky. I love that I can rework the product throughout the day because it does not dry out.

It has a good, medium hold. I definitely recommend it!.

This hair oil is great! I have relaxed, textured hair. Not only does it smell refreshing, but it’s not heavy on my hair at all. The product doesn’t feel like it sits on my hair like other oils I’ve tried, but rather my hair absorbs it immediately after it’s applied.

My hair feels soft, moisturized, and shiny afterwards, and looks super healthy. I’ve never had a hair oil that does what this product does before, and I’ve struggled to find an oil-based product that I like, which ultimately lead me to avoid oil products.

This was a great purchase, and i will be purchasing this product again. Overall, I would highly recommend this oil.

LOVE this hair serum! I decided to splurge on this product after reading the reviews. Firstly, I have fine/thin/oily at the roots dry a the ends hair. Anything too heavy makes my fine hair look greasy, so I have to be careful which products I use.

I apply one pump of this to my hair after a shower it’s the perfect amount. I find when I use this, my hair dries much less frizzy (with less fly aways throughout the day). It smells AMAZING!! I even use it on the ends of my dry hair on non-shampoo days, just to tame the frizzies.

My hair has never looked healthier.
