I like the product, that’s why I ordered it. The cosmetics of the workbook are acceptable, but, I certainly did not expect that a theory workbook in “GOOD” condition would have 11 of the 44 pages with the answers already completed.

According to the listing: “GOOD” is: “A book that has been read but is in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover including scuff marks, but no holes or tears. The dust jacket for hard covers may not be included.

Binding has minimal wear. The majority of pages are undamaged with minimal creasing or tearing, minimal pencil underlining of text, no highlighting of text, no writing in margins. “.

Level 1 Lesson Book follows Primer Level. We will continue with this series of piano lesson books. Well written and nice progression toward piano mastery.

I have been developing a four year History of Science course for my homeschooled children as well as a coop where I teach Elementary school science. In the third year of the program (late 1700s/early 1800s) the kids begin to learn about cells, organ systems, and to explore the world with their microscope.

Because of the microscope labs, I started the year using the Pandia Press Bio2 course for middle school. My daughter found it boring and lacking in detail. So I decided to purchase this text (I use other Apologia science texts for Elementary students).

It is wonderful and fits in with our study of the History of Science beautifully. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed learning about cells, nutrition and the body systems. It is just as detailed as any middle school science text that I have looked at.

I only wish that it included microscope labs.

There’s a lot of curriculum that I’ve purchased/used for my 3 homeschooled children. This by far has been the most compelling, fun, and interesting! It has Gods plan and purpose woven into the fabric of the text! My children love it and retain so much from the simple projects and notebook journaling! We take our time with the lessons and don’t rush through them.

Not only are my children learning, but I have also learned sooo many things I never learned in school. Its given me and my children a better worldview and love of God’s creations!.

I am a homeschool teacher and I also tutor online. I found that this book is a very helpful tool when teaching Anatomy and Physiology to Middle and High School students. Students find the book easy to understand because the pictures are big enough and the body parts are not bunched up together.

Each section of the body are divided in smaller sections thus making it easier to memorize. I would even recommend it to elementary students as well. It gives anyone the explanation of the bodies’ function from a Biblical perspective.

Birth order is no guarantee, however. And regardless of where we fall in a family, we can all increase our creativity and impact by using some of the strategies noted throughout. The author’s definition of an original as someone who is different or inventive is not much more than a tautology.

He would have been better off to concretely define creativity as combining two things or ideas which hadn’t been joined before or by combining them in a new way. Those who have read Daniel Kahneman, Susan Cain, and Chip and Dan Heath will also find some ideas familiar.

The book is, nonetheless, a pleasure to read with its combination of engaging stories, solid research, and usable, memorable principles. From what makes a great base stealer to how to parent for moral development to why you should get rid of the suggestion box to how to write a great headline to creating change as a minority in a majority culture, the book is wide ranging and can keep you, like the author, from making some big mistakes.

WOB is my go to book shop! I love them. Prices are very reasonable and shipping swift. The books are second hand and usually great quality! Just as this one, wouldn’t go anywhere else unless they don’t have the book that I am looking for.

I bought this for my Daughter to add to her reference list after she read it. She is a Psychology major working toward being a Therapist. A teacher had recommended this book a year or two ago, that made me happy too.

I bought the whole series of the “Everything You. ” to help me tutor my 12 year old nephew during Covid school closures. These books are great. They are easy to read and follow. I highly recommend the whole series as a learning guide.

The explanations are written clearly and simply and the instruction is easy to follow.

Great book! Will help the kids of course but a fantastic resource for those of us who are not math savy. this will help me to help my child with their homework. it’s been quite a few years since I was instructed in math facts.

I was skeptical of this colorful non-textbook book. But after seeing middle school kids mesmerized by the colorful content, I realized the book might be useful. The chapters are short and relay the basic information correctly and concisely.

The exercises are short and to the point with the answers on the next page. As a parent, if you don’t know how to do the problems, you probably need to study the book yourself to help your youngster when they get stuck.

This is not a book to teach you the first time around. this is a book for review of main concepts and for reinforcement of what is being learned in class.

I bought this book to use with my child while homeschooling. I love the huge variety of subjects covered and how it is developmentally perfect for his age! Not too much info and it keeps my child’s attention.

This is an excellent workbook for homeschooling your 1st grader! My 1st grade son looks forward to social studies time. The only complaint I have is that the pages are not perforated so they do not tear out neatly.

We are new to homeschooling and I got this book to supplement what we are doing in social studies. We really like it. The pages are short and sweet and we add other resources to make each week a full lesson.

My son loves it he likes to read it everyday we do a couple of pages and he has so much fun

I got this series for my 10 year old daughter. She loves these books and began reading right away. These books are fun and humorous. Very fun to read.

This book set was a real bargain. The stories are so cute. Amelia Bedelia creates funny situations by taking things so literally.

The item description specifies that the textbook is hardcover. I messaged customer service to verify, because most retailers only sell the softcover. They assured me that it is hardcover. But when the item arrived the textbook was indeed softcover.

So, heads up if you were really wanting the hardcover. The description is wrong. That said, shipping was super fast, and the items were packaged well. I just wish that textbook had indeed been hardcover.

Exploring Creation with Physics presents the study of Physics from a creationist point of view. It points out the holes in evolution and proves how the world was created by an intelligent being. We decided to buy this book, along with others in past years–Exploring Creation with Biology and Exploring Creation with Chemistry–because it gives a wonderful grounding in the science, and it holds a Christian viewpoint.

Our seventh/eighth grade teachers met at a parent meeting recently. As a retired teacher who volunteers five days a week to work with students who could benefit from extra assistance, I recommended the “Everything You Need to Know to Ace.

” books. I was present at that meeting as I worked a few students in this grade group in US history. Your “All I Need to Know. ” Social Studies book follows the US History version used by the class. The way in which this “notebook style” book is written is to the point, no fluff, defines terms as it uses them, has drawings and pictures that a kid would make-ALL to assist the student in “getting” what is being taught.

The team asked to see the other books in THEIR subject areas. Your books follows our textbook and clearly has followed common core and national standards. Each member of the team now holds and is using your books!.

Wonderful learning book. I got this as a refresher before my kiddo begins 1st grade. She loves working through the different pages.

Engaging and colourful illustrations throughout. Exercises seem challenging enough, and my 6 year old is able to do them with minimal assistance. Overall, a helpful tool during these turbulent times with the fate of traditional schooling out the window.

This book is much better than other books, like the School Zone Big Book. Whether you’re a child is struggling and needs extra exposure, or you want to introduce concepts and work with them one-on-one before they experience it in the classroom, I believe this is the best book for that.

I find it best to buy the year ahead and work with them over the summer so they have some exposure to some unfamiliar concepts before they start the next year.

This is a great book for my son who’s going into first grade. Seems appropriate and has lots of review and new stuff to keep him on track during summer and prepared for the fall. It has different subjects that are separated so you can keep track of what you’re doing.

This product is perfect for our first grader. It reinforces the concepts she learns in our homeschool, and each activity is easy for her to understand. The colorful layout and entertaining content keep her engaged with the material.

She will often go get the book and complete a few pages on her own. We used the kindergarten level Brain Quest book last year, and I’m sure we will be using the 2nd grade book when the time comes.

It was a fairly mediocre purchase. While I do note they put the quality in as “Good” I’d say it’s closer to well loved or well used. There is still writing in the book that was not erased or concealed and a few tears I wasn’t expecting.

I was aware the product was used, just not expecting something as used as this. The shipping was great though and I got it in time for my student, so as long as the book is functional, I’m happy!.

We use this book for our students from 12 years old to adults. It is very easy to use it. It is very clear and easy to follow the lessons.

Has writing in when it said it was in very good condition, however, we can still use it.

This book begins with describing the basics of the living room, city, etc. and works its up to stories and dictation. It has exercises to complete which further enforces what you’ve learned. I’ve just started the workbook but thus far I’m impressed and excited to be learning Spanish.

this is the fourth language I am learning, and I also taught a foreign language. I think this is an excellent choice. each section starts with a story and the grammar lessons are based on the story, such as a birthday party, to keep it interesting.

Ordered the Alfred Basic Course Book as a refresher after years of not having played piano. It appears to be formatted to help address several topics that will be helpful. Sometimes you forget some basics when you are anxious to play again.

I have had numerous devotional-type books over the years, but none has had the impact on me that “Prevail” has. I find that Larson has a way of extracting concepts and principles from Bible passages, turning them into practical ways to use God’s word in my everyday life.

I find the lessons encouraging and inspiring, yet Larson doesn’t sugarcoat conviction where it is appropriate, either. Simply put, Susie Larson packs every paragraph with encouragement, convictions, and instruction while always pointing me to God’s love and faithfulness.

As I work through many of the devotions, I feel better equipped to face real-life challenges. They are thought provoking, and help me to be aware of what I “sow”, to see what I need to let go of and they challenge me to focus on God’s plan for my life along the way.

I found a couple of unexpected bonuses as I read through the book, too. First, having seen how Larson approached and analyzed scripture passages, I find that I now look at scripture more carefully and spend more time meditating on verses and stories.

I look for the deeper meaning and application, or for expressions of God’s character in the words I read. Second, the book gave me a model for praying in a different way than I have in the past. The prayers that Larson included with each devotion are short, focused and simple; so easy to fold into the concept of “pray without ceasing”.

There is no doubt that “Prevail” has influenced my spiritual walk. It is a resource that I am sure I will return to many times in the future.

I truly believe that God orchestrated the timing of the release of Prevail for the challenges that we face today. Susie Larson has gifted the world with a year’s worth of devotions that encourage the reader to stand strong in the Lord.

Larson walks the reader from Genesis to Revelation, providing the reader with a short Scripture, a brief description of the background of the verse, and how it relates to today’s Christian. She asks the reader to turn to her Bible and read a few additional verses.

She challenges the reader to consider God at work in the world and in the reader’s life and to take action. An example on day 196 quotes Hosea 2:14 “But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert And speak tenderly to her there.

” Larson’s challenge is, “If you’re in the desert, look and listen for Jesus. This season will prove to be one of the most important in your life. ” Prayer always ends the day’s devotion. Larson writes in a friendly and encouraging style while challenging the reader to look inward, outward, and upward.

She asks the reader to take action that will honor God. I am so delighted with this devotional that I will purchase copies for gifts to family and friends. I received a digital advance reader copy for my honest review.
