This is a serious piece of iron! It’s big enough to cover both burners so it gets plenty of heat to cook with. It has plenty of area to cook bacon, burgers, or anything you choose. It has a nice deep drip edge so no grease gets away! My wife has wanted one for a while and when this became available I got it for us and very glad we did!! It was preseasoned, but my wife gave it a second seasoning session to make sure it was good to go! And, as always, Lehman’s shipped it quickly and very well packaged to protect it from damage!.

This is the first time I am using a cast iron grill on stove burners. I found it to be quite interesting. I have a gas stove. The grill is large enough to reside over two burners. When it comes to heating, I find that it doesn’t get heated evenly, which is to be expected.

The result was that I needed to constantly switch spots so my food can all get cooked at the same time. This does create some additional exercise for me. I do like the draining grove on the flat side, so my food is not bathed in grease.

Overall, I like the grill for occasional use, but it would be a bit tedious to use daily due to uneven heating.

Before you buy any cast iron cookware be aware of the work it takes to keep it pristine and always ready for use. I like to use my cast iron cookware on my grill. That is why I bought this griddle. When it heats up, it holds it heat, and gives a great sear.

I love cooking burgers fast locking in the juices and giving crispy edges. As in smash burgers. I also love to blacken salmon on this griddle. It also turns out crispy and juicy. I like keeping the fish smells outside.

The uses are endless. But it does require work to keep it clean and seasoned. Read the instructions and you will be satisfied with your cooking results.

Purchased because I wanted exactly what it looked like on line; metal handles (so it could go into the oven) and a generous, non-textured or ribbed surface. It has a shallow perimeter depression, ostensibly for collecting fat, but the slightly too-thin a gauge metal means that the perimeter is more rigid than the interior of the surface: it warps and bows as soon as it’s heated.

By design, it only comes into contact with the surface around the perimeter, though the conductivity of the material does seem to distribute heat reasonably well. While I’m not averse to tapping large pans back into shape with a soft mallet, but only after years of use on cheap pans.

Despite the Cuisinart name on this product, I’m afraid it’s simply a poor design, especially for use on glass top stoves. I will continue to use it, but it’s a poor substitute for the simple Kenmore griddle that it was meant to replace.

On a gas stove or grill the warpage may not be an issue, though cast iron would probably be a far better choice for that use.

This was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who mentioned he needed more griddle space for our weekend pancaking. Even though there were iffy reviews, I still trust the brand and it’s been so useful for pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon.

I’ve even used it in the oven and it helps bake the chicken breasts even faster. There were a lot of complaints about the nonstick surface, but this item has been a dream to cook with and wash it. I dab any oils with paper towel, soak it if necessary, and wash it super gently.

It seems to have a thin nonstick surface and I treat it more like a cast iron with as little soap as possible so as not to scratch it or break the nonstick layer. The packaging said not to stack anything on the surface, so maybe if you treat the nonstick super gently, it’ll maintain its integrity.

I love this griddle!! I’ve had to return other griddles because the handles get in the way of the stove when trying to cover both heat sources. The handles on this griddle stand straight up and don’t block anything.

it’s design is the best I’ve ever seen! Although I find that when trying to fry eggs, for some reason they tend to try to float over toward the edges, the gutter I call it! I just take my spatula and drag it back to the center.

Otherwise, it’s great for an entire package of bacon for the entire family, for pancakes and several fried eggs. I just love it. And it’s not as heavy as an iron skillet. It’s now January, 2021 and I’m writing to say that this skillet is now warped and when I try to fry eggs on it they don’t stay put! It all goes to the ends, I call it going right into the gutter.

I guess I’ll have to buy a new one pretty soon. That sucks. I hoped I’d have this one for awhile.

Arrived very timely in perfect condition. I’m using mine for my outdoor grill, sometimes I like the griddle look for burgers, yes the griddle keeps the melted burger fat from going on the burners. Was surprised that the bottom did not show use after bbqing with the griddle.

This is perfect for me. Did put olive oil on before using came out great. this is used outdoors and is stored with the BBQ Grill outdoors. Great for grilling up vegetables and them smaller shrimp. Works perfectly for me.

I was shocked how lightweight this pan was. I was afraid it would warp. After using it I decided it is a quality pan. I came back to buy another one. Dont be afraid to buy this. Im in my 70s and have lots of experience with griddles.

I purchased this griddle because the description states it was good for induction cooktop. It is not. I have tried unsuccessfully to use this on our new induction cooktop and cannot get an even cooking surface.

This griddle does not sit flat on the cooktop only the rim does. For induction it needs to connect with the burner surface. I’m going to try it on our outdoor grill and see if I can get some use out of what seems to be a high quality piece of cookware.

I bought this grill to make a variety of foods on it. The sides are too shallow to hold the grease/fat that comes of the bacon and/or steak you are cooking. The surface cooks unevenly and in fact one section burned to where it’s unusable.

I have other cast iron products and have NEVER had this Problem. I was very disappointed with the uneven heating and shallow sides (which at first were imperceptible) but once it starts heating up it can’t hold the overflow.

I LOVE THIS GRIDDLE! This has become my go to tool for making everything from pancakes sausages for breakfast to cooking steaks for dinner. I use the flat top more than I use the grill side because it’s so easy to clean.

A quick swipe with a damp sponge or a quick wash in the sink will have grease food residue sliding right off.

This is a good pan, but we find we need to cook everything in the middle of the griddle, with plenty of oil. The handles are poorly designed as they get quite hot. We bought silicon grips in order to make better use of the pan.

Bought this after getting a new range with a glass top double burner, made for this griddle, with a recent sale. I washed the griddle, seasoned it as recommended by T-fal. First time I used it, with the heat on the settings T-fal says to stay with, it warped.

FIRST TIME. I let it cool and washed it, and thought maybe it would flatten out. Nope. So I returned it. I’ve had many other T-fal pots and pans, and no issues. But I’m so disappointed since this was going to be perfect for making breakfast – eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, all in one pan or at least only need to use one.

Bought this pan to cook bacon. It is perfect for the job! Fits nicely over two stove top burners and made for even, crispy cooking. Would also work well for burgers. Would recommend for the quality and handles make it easy to move around.

Metal is thicker than other low cost aluminum griddles I looked at. So far heating is as even as possible when using two burners at the same time (either on a camping stove or a kitchen cooktop). Don’t go over medium heat to start.

This fits my Coleman Triton two-burner propane stove perfectly, and despite the additional length from the handles, the stove’s windscreen has no problem staying in the up position.

Most sellers list this as an 18×11 inch pan, but the overall dimensions other than the handles are 18-1/8″ x 11-3/16″, 23-3/8″ when the handles are included (that makes this too long to put in the dishwasher without going at a diagonal).

The actual cooking space is 17-1/8″ x 11-3/16″, with about an inch of depth from the sides, which is really great for frying a lot of bacon and avoiding spilling the hot grease. We have an NXR range but that company doesn’t make a griddle that can be purchased as an accessory. I found this one online and called the company. The dimensions were identical to what I needed so I ordered.

It is a PERFECT match and no one would know it didn’t come with my range!! We use it for something with just about every meal we make! Absolutely love it!!.

Excellent for cooking but very heavy. Cleans up well so far. Only been used a dozen times but is holding up well.

This Griddle was purchase about one month ago to be used with our Thor 36″ Stove and Oven. While the detail on the Web page indicated it would fit, it does not fit. The Griddle is to long to sit on top of the grates of the stove properly.

In addition the quality of the Cast Iron is below average with casting marks in the finish. If you actually wish to cook with a griddle best look elsewhere. I would not have kept the Griddle this long, but I have been unable to get a response from Thor in order to return it.

At this point it is a very expensive place holder on my dining room table.

This griddle is great for an indoor bbq. It cooks food evenly, and steaks come out brilliantly. Melting grated cheese on there is awesome. The only issue we had is re-seasoning. Instructions say to put it in the oven at a high temperature.

It only fits diagonally and so all oil run to one end. We have a stardard 60 cm oven.

The cast iron works well in parts, but does not do well on electric stoves. The heating doesn’t spread well enough. I’m sure this is great on a flame stove, but would not recommend for electric.

I bought this for my husband after he decided he wanted a cast iron grill/griddle to use on our grill outside. I’m so glad it can actually hold up to the heat and he LOVES it.

I knew the second this came out of the box that it was no good. It hasn’t been polished, so the iron is like extremely rough sandpaper, which would mean they didn’t polish it. I tested it and sure enough my tortillas stuck to it like glue.

After opening the package, I seasoned it. It is a beautiful piece of cast iron. Heavy and I can’t wait to use it for my pancakes and squash!

I have a big gas 3 burner camp stove which I use for canning. Needed a griddle so I looked at this accessory and decided to buy it after reading many happy customers review. Unfortunately when I received mine and put it on the camp stove it was not sitting properly.

I remove the shelf on the stove thinking it was the problem, no it was not. I decided to lay it on my kitchen counter to see if it lay flat. It had about an inch and a half lift from the ground on one side.

It came to me warp. I went online to see if this was an issue. Apparently some people experience the same problem. Continuing my search, I discover that the blackstone brand has the same issue, at least they say it can happen during the manufacturing process, and as you use it overtime (10) the warp should go away.

I could not find anything for my camp chef griddle that will explain the warping. Looking at the product you ca visually see it is raised in the middle, which cause the unevenness at the side. It cooked ok but he warping cause it to tilt when cooking.

I just wrapped up a 5 day camping trip and used my new flat top griddle multiple times every single day. I absolutely LOVE it. It was a total game changer. A few tips that are probably pretty obvious: even though it’s seasoned plan on using oil or butter; also it gets super hot so turn it down to low or low/medium; lastly, I recommend having this in addition to a smaller stove that you can boil on.

I used the Everest and the Explorer together with the full burner. It was perfect and kept me from needing to remove the griddle any time I wanted to boil water or heat up food that doesn’t need a flat surface.

You should also plan on it being really dirty when you take it off the stove so don’t wear your favorite jacket or shirt. Other than that, it is amazing and I’m so glad I made the investment. Totally changed our food experience.

I’ve had this griddle for almost 2 years and it is without a doubt one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. While the stove and griddle are excellent for camping, they have found use year round on my deck.

I use the griddle for all my weekend breakfasts, and the burner is extremely handy should you need to heat a large volume of water in a short period of time (compared to using the electric stovetop in the kitchen).

What impresses me the most about this griddle is how well the non-stick surface has performed. I have cast iron pans that I’ve meticulously maintained the patina on for over a decade, and this griddle that’s in the elements out on the deck with minimal maintenance outperforms those cast iron pans by a long shot.

I really wanted to love this pan; I have been using cast iron for decades and love it, however the only thing I’ve held on to is the highest-quality non-stick double burner griddle because it’s just so easy for making pancakes, meals for two, and so on.

I was HOPING this pan would replace it, however so far all it has been is frustrating. The surface area is a lot smaller than I was thinking. The description says 16-3/4 x 9-1/2, however the cooking area is actually about 16 x 9.

MINUS the two corners that are cut out, as well as the engraved LODGE logo near one corner. It’s very difficult to move it around while in use. there’s just nothing to grip on to safely. The walls are only about 1/4 tall, if that, so food spills out easily.

In my former, high-quality non-stick double burner griddle I could easily cook eight 4 pancakes at the same time. This morning I just tried using this cast iron double burner griddle to make pancakes – I knew it would not fit 8, so I tried six.

Mistake. Both batter and oil spilled over. Not a ton of it spilled, but NONE should have spilled. I could only successfully do 2 pancakes at a time, and made them a bit bigger than what I usually do.

In general: just frustrating. It will definitely take some tweaking and getting used to. It’s not useless. it’s just not nearly as efficient as what I am used to. I’m hoping I can use this pan while camping – either on the fire, or on the grill.

That would redeem it a little in my mind. I’d love to hear what others are cooking in it. how others are using it successfully; maybe that would give me a few more ideas.

I had high hopes for this Lodge griddle as a means to finally cook MORE pancakes at the same time so I’m not left by myself in the kitchen when everyone else has finished breakfast. I had just retired a long-used All-Clad square griddle that had finally lost its finish.

I thought that sticking would be the problem with the Lodge. Instead it was the issue of it being too lightweight a surface. The heating was extremely uneven. I have a good gas range and the griddle was placed over 2 burners set to low-medium heat.

Even pancakes centered over the flame were coming out half underdone/half charred. I think it’s also a problem that it’s a double-sided pan. The reverse grill pan side doesn’t help the flat side keep consistently even heat or browning.

I returned it and will go to either a heavier Le Creuset iron with enamel griddle like the small skillet I love, or back to a nonstick like an All-Clad with heavier core for even browning.

I bought this several years ago from Target and use it only on occasion. I just used it yesterday and my pancakes stuck terribly. I even had trouble turning them. I always oil it after use. Also, I always make sure it’s thoroughly dry after cleaning.

After wiping it dry, I heat it up again and oil it. I do remember that every time I’ve used it in the past, the griddle has heated unevenly. I’m cooking on a small 4-burner gas stove with only a couple inches between the burners.

The grill goes across two burners. I do heat it up prior to cooking, hoping the middle will get hot but it never gets as hot has the portions right over the burners. Another problem is that either our kitchen floor is not level or the stove is not level so one side cooks better than the other and the oil tends to collect more on that side.

Thus, there are contributing problems outside of the Grill itself. I find it easier to use two pans. I was up on a time I was using two pans and the griddle. Another problem with the flat portion of the griddle is that I often lose food over the edges.

I was away when griddle arrived. I just opened the box. When I took it out of the griddle box, saw on the lip that turns up, there is a spot about the size of a dime that is missing coating. Bare spot.

Not happy. I expected perfect. I have not used griddle yet, concerns about spot without coating will peel when heated. Thinking about sending back but will be cost to return. I have serveral other of your pans and love them! Work perfect and look great.

So disappointed about imperfection on the new griddle. Have not used the griddle.

This pan can be used for multiple foods to be cooked at one time. A piece of meat with lots of vegetables will give you a complete meal. It cooks evenly and easily browns food well. It can withstand high temperatures if needed.

The clean up is wonderful. So easy to clean. No scrubbing needed. Great purchase. Love it.

XD nonstick double burner grill is a must have for anybody who likes grilling inside. It is very solid, made of aluminum and has even temperature distribution over the entire surface. Easy to use, easy to clean up.

Sturdy and well made. It heats evenly and cooks everything fast one either side. The only issue I had was how hard it is to clean after cooking burgers, steak and sausages. When the fat drips and hardens, it’s stuck all around the middle of the raised areas and due to its size, washing the pan requires careful scrubbing and rinsing or water would splash all of the kitchen sink area.

You definitely need to use this like cast iron and not like a normal frying pan you toss in a drawer and dishwasher. I washed it in warm water and then seasoned it when we got it. It stays on the stove top all the time, which causes it to get dirty from other cooking happening on the stove, and you end up needing to clean it up a lot as a result.

I wipe it down good after each use, and then get a paper towel with some oil and wipe it again before it cools. It becomes really very nonstick pretty fast, but I have to cook with oil or butter, and that means I always finish every use with a good scrape and a wipe down with a re-application of oil.

Requires regular car but it is nice to have ready to go any time and our kids use it a lot now (teens).

The griddle is very useful. I leave it on the cook top all of the time to make it easier to use. I have cooked fajitas, salmon, pancakes, breakfast sausage and eggs. It’s versatile. It’s heavy. It needs to be oiled and front cooks a little hotter than back.

You have to experiment with the temperature a little. For instance pancakes can be cooked on medium, then turn to low after you flip them. It’s fun to cook on it.

I was gifted this product. If the purchaser saw the negative reviews about the sides and horrible grease trap she never would have purchased it. Conveniently, the company deletes any bad reviews from their website and you can only find them on google.

Also if you choose to return, there is a 20% restocking fee which is ridiculous and shipping will set you back 60% of the purchase price. Besides being an unethical company, I will now review the actual griddle and accompanying tools.

The sides of the griddle are not high enough to stop the food from spilling over. The 5 degree bevel on the front might as well not even be there. When scraping the grease off the griddle expect it to be all over the front of your stove.

The holes in the grease trap are great for getting food stuck in. She also bought the tools which are made out of the worst steel I have ever seen in kitchenware. They are heavy and thick but the steel has no strength.

Any amount of force bends them. I’m talking permanently bends, no spring action. I threw them straight in the garbage. It’s a great idea in theory but with the unethical practices this company has, I believe they know they have a bad product and are just out to make a quick buck.

Please do not buy this product as it is a waste of money.

What I like: Heavy duty and solid construction. The metal work is done very nicely (smooth edges, welding, etc. ). Canvas bag is very high quality. It cooks like a Blackstone on my gas range inside. Considerations: Cleaning grease holes is annoying – it would be nice if SteelMade could design a little cleaning brush that was the perfect size to insert into the holes to go along with the flattop.

Right now I am using a paper towel, which is very inefficient and frustrating (See pic). The sidewalls are also not very tall (7/8″) -maybe a “High wall” version with 2 or 3″ inch walls would help here.

Its pretty easy to lose some food when you are cooking, especially rice. The grease pan is also way too shallow (see pic), which sucks when you are cooking a lot because I am constantly worried about the grease overflowing and catching fire on the gas flames.

I would also like to see a stainless steel version of the flat tops. I know that would be very expensive, but I would definitely pay a few hundred more for a stainless version that much smoother. It works well, just needs a few upgrades in my opinion.

Overall, I am satisfied with it though.

So, you’re into the flat top craze? This is the one to buy. Nice thick American steel use it on the stove or buy the American made cooking base and go between the kitchen and the backyard anytime you wish.

You aren’t doing that with any other brand of flat top! Easy to care for and clean, just treat it like cast iron! Be sure to get a cooking tool set to round out the purchase! This thing heats evenly and holds heat a long time.
