20 Best Steel Toe Work Boots For Women (2023 Updated)

I started a job that I had to wear work boots. I went to a local shop that sells all the work wear and that where I bought these boots. They were sooo comfortable. I was able to compare them to many other brands when I was at the store and these easily won.

I loved them so much that when my job said they would buy me new boots, I picked them same ones. I was able to go full shifts wearing these. At first they seemed heavy, but that was only because I wasn’t used to wearing work books, but now I have gotten used to the weight of steel toe and they’re great.

Other coworkers have complained that their boot hurt or gave them blisters, but I’ve never had that experience with these. I usually wear an 8 1/2 regular, but I got an 8 wide and they were great!.

They are true to size except for the heel. I have severe plantar fasciitis and these boots were recommended for that. However, the heel is not narrow enough so your foot slides all over. I got the most narrow width they had, but to no avail.

The sides of my feet ached by the end of the day soo intensely that I just couldn’t wear the boots the next day. It took 3 days for my feet to calm down and feel normal once again. The outside of my feet were what ached.

I would like to try these again and not wear them for a full 13 hours day, but we’ll see. They are waterproof and the steel tote is a plus. These are not heavy like other steel toes I’ve worn.

As a petite and femine person, I was looking for a workboot that I could count on, but did not want them to be overly bulky or heavy in look or feel. I was beginning to think that that such a boot did not exist.

I purchased several different pairs by different makers, at different times and would wear them around my house to see if I could handle the feel of them before embarking on work. (I’m an aicraft fueler.

) Every pair was heavy and lacked cushion and support. Each pair rubbed in various areas. I returned them all, and began to think that I was just going to have suffer with an unstylish, heavy uncomfortable boot if I wanted to protect my feet at work.

Then, I stumbled upon Caterpiller Dryverse. Not only were they really nice, streamlined, low profile boots, they were the most comfortable “shoes” let alone boots that I own! That includes my beloved Nike collection.

I wear these boots everyday now, even when I’m not at work they are my most comfortable go to Footwear that I own. I was pleasantly surprised at the high arch support which really helps me not have aching feet at the end of the day, and if I need to break into a sprint real quick to get out of the way of something that could hurt me it’s no problem at all, even with a steel toe.

I returned a pair of Irish Setter Ashby from same store since after 70 days since thin bottom sole started coming off and bought these instead. Now less than 14 days later the outer sole of these boots are terribly soft and will not hold up to any kind of work whether it be shoveling (as in using your feet to dig the shovel into soil, literally only edging some sod along a curb as created course in sole).

Otherwise the boot is comfortable and the inner sole with the Carhartt logos seem to be holding up just fine. I’m not to rough on my boots, how rough can ya be when you work on a golf course and mainly mow turf but there are times when using a shovel is part of your job.

Lastly the Ashby’s I mentioned earlier didn’t have the gouging issue after 3 times as much shoveling work.

I bought the pair of black Carhartt boots for my wife. She had wanted the for awhile but I couldn’t locate them anywhere in her size. I was delighted to find them on the Moosejaw site which I happened to find out of pure chance.

I had never heard of Moosejaw and after searching through the entire supply of different manufacturers – not only did I find the boots for my wife but I found a number of things I had also been searching for but unable to find.

I will be a future Moosejaw customer, the styles, sizes, and selection of such a wide variety of items will bring me to this website before I search any others for the products I need.

My first pair of these lasted me a full year. Actually a little over a year. Which as a welder working twelve hour shifts is crazy long. Even the waterproofing held up for a year. They have cushion and support.

I have wide feet and usually have to order boots larger than my actual size to accommodate that. I love that I didn’t have to with these. The wide fit was perfect for me. Even the breaking in process was painless.

I’m now on my second pair. I will never buy another steel toe boot again.

I’ve always struggled to find decent work boots, it seems like men’s are always better made. But I’m in love with this boot. I’ve never found a pair that is so tall but also light weight. I work in wet areas a lot and often find those surprise deep pools will go over the top of most boots that aren’t rain boots but I don’t have that problem with these so far.

The fact that there is a wide option is amazing. I hate having to go a size up with boots that don’t have the option since it never fits quite right. A solid price for what you get in my opinion as well.

I bought these boots two and a half years ago. I do general remodeling and have worn the 8” Georgia Giants almost the whole time. They started out very tight, so tight that I wore them for a couple hours at home each day to break them in, hoping they would settle.

After about a week, the boots were perfectly formed to my feet and, at the same time, became the most comfortable boot I’ve ever owned. The entire upper is leather, and I’ve read some complaints about “holes” in between the leather joints.

however I no such holes and have even found them to be completely waterproof as is, even though they are not listed as waterproof. I must say again, great for light-medium construction activities. I haven’t used them in mud or water that goes above the toungue.

The sole is a heavy duty foam, which makes them great for walking. Honestly, I wear these for walks in the winter time, since the foam makes the boots much lighter than a rubber sole. This has also been, in my experience, the downside of the boot.

The foam sole will wear out faster than the leather will. All in all, I’m a big fan of this boot and highly recommend. Give them a couple weeks to settle and form around your foot before dirtying and scuffing them up.

If they don’t settle within 10 total hours of wearing (again, I don’t suggest doing all 10 at once – OUCH), you’ll probably want to try another boot like the amp. I believe this boot has a “wide” selection now as well.

I’ve been wearing these boots on the weekends for years now. They have just started to see actual work and EDC use about 6 months ago. They are comfortable, good looking and durable. I’m on my feet 10 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week on concrete.

My weight fluctuates from 250 to 275 depending on time of year. My feet only start hurting at the end of the day on especially brutal days. This is my second Georgia Boot purchase because my first got me hooked! Shopping for my next pair right now to replace these as my “casual” boot! Based on my 2 purchases I’m deciding on which Cedar Rapid shoe I want as a house/quick trip shoe.

I bought these initially as I was gifted a Pulaski to use in clearing out deer brush and sage at our new house. Needed leather and steel toe if wielding that tool. I found I’m using them everyday! The sand of Northern NV is hard on tennis shoes so I find being able to slip these on/off as I go in and out to be perfect.

They are comfortable and sized a bit large but even for my narrow feet, really comfortable and balanced.

These are replacement boots for my old Justin, steel toe, waterproof boots. I don’t believe these to be waterproof, however they are the same great boot as the original. I use them to train horses in the field and also trail ride.

Cute design with very roomy toe box. Perfect “true-to-size” fit. I am 73 and bought these for horseback trail riding and trail work with BCHW. They have a nice tread for safety in a stirrup and won’t pack tons of mud into the house, but also not slippery on surfaces.

I like the stitched on sole and waterproof features. (No spur rest, but I don’t use spurs. ).

Got these boots because I’m a doc fan, they have a zipper (saves a lot of time), they seemed like solid, high quality boots etc. The good is that they look great (as a woman with small feet some boots can look clunky and ridiculous), the zippers have been a real time saver, they hold up really well in the field (I work on a construction site).

They are heavier than most boots but of course you get used to it. They were a little rough to break in also, took a couple weeks, first few weeks they tore my ankles and toes up because they were super stiff.

My main complaint though is that however the soles are made they retain and soak in a lot of the moisture inside the shoe so they get stinky so so incredibly fast and now every time you where your shoe, your toes smell like that and for me that’s a deal breaker.

I’m a snell person I guess but I had my previous Timberland Pros for 3 years before they started to stink and I only had these docs a few months before the stink set it. I can’t stand that smell every time I remove my shoe so for that reason I’ll be switching back, but without the smell issue, it would have been a hard choice to make.

I work in a warehouse setting where I do a lot of walking and forklift driving. These are my favorite steel-toe boots I’ve ever had. They’re comfortable, sturdy-but-not-stiff, broke in like a dream, and take a good deal of abuse.

I have a habit of using the toe to help me maneuver large boxes, and they’re scuffed but not damaged. I had to replace the insoles after about a year of daily wear. My feet are on the wider side, and the toe cap fits comfortably unlike most other standard-width steel toe boots.

My Dr. Marten’s Maple women’s boots arrived really quickly. I started wearing them with the view to ensure that they were comfy in winter when I will be wearing them more but did not need to at all. They were instantly comfortable.

I forgot how large the last is on DMs as they build to a traditional shoe last, so the size 8 I bought (I am a size 8), I could have got a way with a size 7. Lots of room for winter socks! They are full-grain quality leather unlike the fashion version, and keep your feet very toasty whilst letting them breathe.

These are a great work boot. I wear a size 8. 5 or 9 in most shoes. I ordered these in a size 9. They are a little big, but i will keep them for fear a smaller size will be too small. The steel toe is roomy and doesnt cramp my toes.

The boot cuff is a little stiff. I will need to buy over-the-calf socks to make them more comfortable. I would definitely buy these again.

Third pair I’ve ordered. I’m a welder, artist, forklift operator, and have worked in many industrial warehouses and shop yards. My pink steel toe boots have saved my toes to many times to count. Love my pink Safety Girl Boots.

Size 9 fit like a size 10. The bottom of the instep has stitching that digs into my foot and hurts. Theyre made well. But theyre also hot, would be a better winter work boot. When I put these on makes my foot look like Im wearing clown boots.

I cant even return them. So I basically worked 4 hours just to watch my money burn. Dont waste your money if youre looking for a pink boot get a pair by the brand Steel Blue! So disappointed.

I liked my boots so well that I decided they would make a couple of good Christmas presents! My daughter-in-law loved hers but a half size too small. I am ordering another pair for her. My granddaughter, I ordered the “pink” boots! She loved them and put them on and wore them home! That told me she really liked them! But before they went home, my great granddaughter that is almost two, thought they were great!! She cried when she had to take them off and let her mother enjoy them!! I since fond some little pink boots for her! What a happy Christmas and story to remember!.

I bought these about a month ago and im not easy on my work boots. So far they are proven waterproof in 3 inches. Bend nails when stepped on off of a ladder, an are comfy to boot. haha I paid 170 for Caterpillar boots from Amazon and the soles were peeling within a week.

So I give these 5 stars! Great price and a great pair of boots!.

Great shoe! Got me through a 6 mile, 1800 ft. elevation hike without being broken in. I have weird sized feet and don’t like to buy online, but I got Avenger work boots that always fit so I tried this.

It did show up a little bit too big. I plan to double up on socks to accommodate. Great shoe, great value, you should probably leave enough time to return for a new size if you aren’t 100% about this brand.

I’ve been breaking them in a bit around the house. Now wearing them to work for the first day today. So far so good. Very comfortable. Still stylish & not too bulky at all for a puncture resistant option! The non-slip/oil-resistance worked great today on our very oily floor environment.

Boots look nice and run 1/2-size small as previously mentioned. However, I’m not sure how women on their feet all day are supposed to find them comfortable. I literally own pairs of flip-flops that have more cushioning and support in the foot bed! Even with a second insole inserted, I can feel every pebble I step on and my feet are tired and sore at the end of each day.

Also, after only the third day of wear, the shoelace grommets had rusted so badly they turned my ankles orange THROUGH my socks. I would have taken advantage of the 30-day return policy Xena touts; however, wearing the boots outside the house — even once — voids that policy.

(Incidentally, Xena also says it may take a week of wear for the boot to actually feel comfortable. so by the time you know whether they’ll work for you or not, there’s no chance of returning them. ) Overall, these boots are good for mild to moderate use — a cute option for ladies who ride motorcycles or work mostly in an office but occasionally visit industrial/construction areas.

If you spend all day on your feet, though, you’re better off buying something less cute but more functional.

I bought the Spice Safety Boot in Mystic Dune and I could not be happier. I started working in a position where I would have to be on my feet 50% of the time walking around a big industrial railway plant.

They are stylish, without compromising safety, and are quite comfortable. Wore them around the house for maybe 10-12 hours with good socks on to break them in and they were work ready. They aren’t hot and heavy and even look good walking around the office.

I’ve never had to wear steel toed safety boots for work before and I’m so glad I got in on the preorder for these. Really are excellent and worth all the money! The suggested sizing up is correct too.

These boots are ridiculously comfortable! They are so cute and perfect for Site Safety Inspections! I spend 50% of my time in the office and 50% of my time in the field so I needed something that I could not only wear in office but in the field.

They are perfect for that. They look professional but also meet PPE requirements while on site. I am beyond happy with these boots and couldn’t be more grateful that this woman owned company came up with cute comfortable boots that work with all my outfits.

I have been buying Carolina boots from Super shoes for over 12 years and have always been very happy with them. This was the first time I tried this particular model of logger and unfortunately the steel toe on the right boot was digging into one of my toes.

However Super Shoes promptly took them back and sent me a different model that I am familiar with in a very efficient and service oriented manner! I couldn’t be happier!.

Good boots, didn’t realize the heel was so tall but I don’t mind, is convenient when climbing oily ladders. Only real problem is these are the first boots I’ve had to buy pads for. After a 12 hour shift I felt like I was walking on concrete, same with an 8 hour shift.

The only other thing that sometimes is an issue is the tongue hurts my ankle. For whatever reason the left one seems to come to a harder corner inside the shoe and without adjusting it several times I just have a hard point rubbing into my ankle.

These are definitely the perfect boot for me. I love the height and it wraps around really well. The boot leather smells great when you first open it. It also doesn’t need to much wearing in, I didn’t have any soreness after wearing it for 10 hour days.

I normally wear 8. 5 wide in regular shoes.

I have purchased the work boots several times. This is my first time in less than a month the side is coming apart. Previously I’ve worn these boots for over a year and they’ve never come apart. Maybe I just got a bad set.

However they were comfortable. That’s why I went for another pair. I may have to search other brands after this pair.

I bought this in 9. 5W because it was a new brand for me so I didn’t know how the size would be. They are a little big (I normally get 9W) so I’d say they are true to the size I ordered but not so big they can’t be worn.

Only issue so far is that the meta area is a little stiff but they haven’t broken in yet. Other than that, they are very comfortable for 12h/day machinist work. They have inner arch and heel cushioning in the sole which is fantastic and they are very breathable.

Where the shoe looks nice, and the description, sounds nice. They are so uncomfortable. And no way for your feet to breath so they stay wet and soggy. Feet feel like they’ve been soaking for 10 hours.

My feet hurt after the first time wearing them. I could barely walk after the second night. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. The soles are definitely not slip or oil resistant, I had more traction with my tennis shoes then I did with these.

I’m glad I got these cheaper than full price. Not worth the money at all.
